Geodesign is a set of methods to shared construction of alternative futures to a territory. Among the existing methods, Steinitz’s framework proposes analytical and propositional steps. In analytical step the goal is to compose maps identifying vulnerabilities and attractiveness of the area. In propositional step the users design diagrams of projects and policies to the place to be negotiated between the participants. To analyze the diagrams could help support the negotiations. The study presents the construction of methods, using ETL Tools, to describe the characteristics of the diagrams, mainly the locational and topological similarities. The similarities can be used to indentify projects or policies that are equivalent, complementary or conflicting, helping the negotiation process, reducing the time spent in unnecessary discussions.DOI: https://doi.org/10.20365/disegnarecon.20.2018.15

The users of geoinformation have been given the opportunity to work with impressive amount of data with some good quality, but it demands knowledge to handle complex and robust collection of information. At the same time the demand for quick answers and analysis requires dynamic cartography capable of execute processes with agility for immediate update of outputs. Together with the improvement of the data quality and the need of fast information production the legal issues is also developed, progressing from the frst steps of the Spatial Data Infrastructure to a services access, via internet, which change data into information, favoring the knowledge production. It is for this scenario that the paper presents as objective to propose a methodology based on database and not only on Geographic Information Systems. It represents contribution as critical reflections and introduction of a methodology for handling high resolution information extracted from orthophotos and altimetry from LiDAR data. It presents the case study of the modeling to assess vegetation and buildings´ volumes in Pampulha region, in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais State. The focus is to demonstrate to users of desktop applications based on GIS software, that nowadays are the majority among users of geoinformation technologies, that it is possible to change to the construction of spatial analyzes using the logic of database, in applications of free access, and with signifcant gains in the handling of large amounts of data and the need to apply routines. In this sense, it is an interface between the era of desktop information technology represented by large commercial software and the era of ETL and database logics. The use of spatial geodatabase logics and ETL tools (extract, transform and load) are proposed and tested to improve the performance in terms of time, technical team demand and information security. It numerically proves the performance improvement and contextualizes the process regarding the state-of-art of geoinformation technologies.

This paper aims to present a description of the DataGEO project, São Paulo's environmental SDI (Spatial Data Infrastructure), discussing the guidelines used to develop the design and implementation in São Paulo's environmental systems. The text includes the issues around the NSDI's (National Spatial Data Infrastructure) guidelines and the choices made throughout the project, influenced by the specifcs of a thematic environmental SDI and the processes observed in the functioning of SMA-SP (Environmental Secretary, State of São Paulo). Thus, DataGEO expands the SDI's use presenting a platform that may be used not only as a solution for the sharing of spatial data with the public, but also as a proposed solution to attend corporate GIS within large organizations. The paper presents the implementation process and the technological challenges, in addition to discussing new ways of accessing geospatial information based on WebGIS, in which the interoperability and sharing of data helps and supports spatial planning. The authors point to the importance of how a proposition for a platform allowing the integration of information coming from multiple sources through institutional agreements may improve access, usage, sharing and understanding data for group decisions.

This article presents the urban research platform IndAtlas, currently in development by UFMG’s Research Group Indisciplinar. Through the association of crowdsourcing tools, a spatial database and visualizations, it is intended to create a Web platform for collecting, analyzing and depicting information about urban spaces. It is proposed that the phenomena (themes) investigated are approached mainly from four axes: 1) spatial / territorial; 2) temporal; 3) social; 4) communicational.The article will address the development of Indisciplinar’s working method, which guided the proposal of the platform, as well as the functional and technical aspects to be observed for its implementation. The geographic information system approach has permitted integration between demographic, socio-economic and environmental data, providing correlation between information from several data banks. In the current work, occurrence of human and canine visceral leishmaniases and insect vectors (Lutzomyia longipalpis) as well as biogeographic information related to 9 areas that comprise the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, between April 2001 and March 2002 were correlated and georeferenced. By using this technique it was possible to define concentration loci of canine leishmaniasis in the following regions: East; Northeast; Northwest; West; and Venda Nova. However, as for human leishmaniasis, it was not possible to perform the same analysis. Data analysis has also shown that 84.2% of the human leishmaniasis cases were related with canine leishmaniasis cases. Concerning biogeographic (altitude, area of vegetation influence, hydrographic, and areas of poverty) analysis, only altitude showed to influence emergence of leishmaniasis cases. A number of 4673 canine leishmaniasis cases and 64 human leishmaniasis cases were georeferenced, of which 67.5 and 71.9%, respectively, were living between 780 and 880 m above the sea level. At these same altitudes, a large number of phlebotomine sand flies were collected. Therefore, we suggest control measures for leishmaniasis in the city of Belo Horizonte, giving priority to canine leishmaniasis foci and regions at altitudes between 780 and 880 m.
