In China’s new urbanization, urban rail transit has developed rapidly. Multiline subway stations in Chongqing face issues such as high passenger flow and intersecting pedestrian flows, leading to congestion, which affects station safety and service quality. This study aims to optimize subway station architectural flow lines, defined as pathways facilitating pedestrian movement within stations, to meet passenger demands, improve service quality, and contribute to smart city development. Combining BIM technology with pedestrian simulation, this research uses quantitative data analysis to optimize subway station flow lines under non-emergency conditions, a scenario rarely addressed in existing studies that focus on emergency evacuations, and proposes optimization strategies. We constructed an optimization framework based on BIM and pedestrian simulation and conducted an empirical study at Chongqing Ranjiaba Station to verify its feasibility. This research systematically examines subway station entry, exit, and transfer systems through literature reviews, surveys, simulations, and case studies. The analysis, within the context of smart city development and transit-oriented design, identifies issues in station layout and pedestrian flow, proposing and validating optimized design schemes. The study introduces a BIM-based framework for optimizing subway station flow lines, demonstrating improvements in pedestrian safety, operational efficiency, and user experience, offering practical solutions.

In order to improve the application of BIM technology in reinforced concrete structure design. Methods: This paper takes the housing project in District A of Guangzhou as the research object, and uses BIM technology to design the precast part of the reinforced concrete structure in the C household, including the deepening design of the reinforced concrete structure, production management of the precast components, tracking, address data modeling, hoisting and deployment, etc., which penetrates into all aspects of the design of the reinforced concrete structure. It was found that after the application of BIM technology, the construction period was reduced from the originally established 13 days per floor to 7 days per floor, and the on-site construction errors were reduced, the construction efficiency and construction quality were improved, and the project was successfully completed. It can be seen that the application of BIM technology in the design of reinforced concrete structures in urban buildings can shorten the construction period and ensure the construction quality at the same time. It is a favorable means to promote the development of urban construction industry and should be actively promoted.

Abstract As one of the primary precast components in prefabricated construction, composite slabs have increasingly attracted interest for their costs as well as carbon footprint in production and installation stages. Conventional methods for separating composite slabs can lead to a building project necessitating multiple specifications of composite slabs. Due to the requirement to customize molds for different modulus of composite slabs, the production process experiences a substantial rise in energy consumption and resource waste. This not only increases production complexity and expenses but also indirectly raises carbon emissions. This paper conducts secondary development of a plugin based on the Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology platform, C# language and Visual Studio 2017 to optimize the modular design of composite slabs with the help of Revit software. This plugin can quickly and intelligently recommend the most suitable combination of composite slabs specifications based on the actual size of the floor slabs, thereby greatly reducing the types of composite slabs required. The modular optimization process developed in this paper is applied to an actual engineering project, the results show that the types of composite slabs molds after optimization are reduced from 9 to 4, and the mold cost is reduced by 69.60%. At the same time, the carbon emissions of the optimized composite slabs in the production stage are reduced by 7.03% compared with those before optimization. It is observed that this optimization scheme not only significantly reduces the production costs of composite slabs and improves production efficiency but also effectively reduces carbon emissions during the production phase of composite slabs.

In light of the issues associated with the laying process of transmission line cables, including concealed security risks and contact collisions between pulleys and cables, which primarily stem from reliance on drawings, this paper introduces a simulation methodology for the cable laying construction process utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. Initially, two-dimensional DWG graphic data are employed to develop a model of the target equipment and construction environment using BIM software (Solid works 2020). Subsequently, the cable is accurately modeled by applying ADAMS virtual prototype technology, the bushing force connection method, and the macro command language. This allows for the construction of a three-dimensional real cable laying system for transmission lines, enabling the simulation of the dynamic cable laying process in the field. Subsequently, an error analysis is conducted to compare the axial tension and laying speed of the cable with theoretical calculation values. The study then proceeds to analyze tension fluctuations during the cable laying process and assess the load-bearing capacity of the pulleys, thus facilitating effective control of the construction process and enhancing safety measures. The findings indicate that the proposed method can accurately and efficiently simulate the on-site cable laying construction process, with numerical errors maintained below 5%, thereby validating the integrity of the model. Furthermore, the traction overload safety protection amplification coefficient is determined to be α = 1.5. It is highlighted that the bearing capacity of the block must exceed 60% of the load carried by the conductor at constant speed. This research provides a theoretical foundation for addressing safety hazards in cable laying engineering and holds certain engineering value.

At present, the technology of artificial intelligence has been developing, making people's life more convenient and production more efficient. As the artificial intelligence software Siri is accepted and used by more and more people, some voice assistant software with similar functions gradually appear in people's vision, such as Sogou voice assistant, Xiaoai, Xiaodu and so on. ASR is the entrance of Siri and other software systems. The quality of software is directly affected by ASR. If there is no good ASR, it is impossible to have high-quality voice assistant applications. Therefore, we must correctly understand the important value of ASR and deeply study this technology in order to achieve better human-computer interaction. In recent years, the development of communication network technology is changing rapidly, from 2G to 5G, technology has been in progress. Compared with the previous 4G, 5G has a higher technical level, whether in network equipment or in data computing technology. For 5 g network, cloud computing technology is very important and has a great impact on it, so we need to focus on the research to realize the optimization and innovation development of 5G network. The construction sector constitutes a crucial segment of China's economy, exerting a significant influence on its overall growth trajectory. Given the prevailing developmental context, this document provides a concise overview of the BIM (Building Information Modeling) Technology, encompassing its fundamental concept, distinguishing attributes, and core principles. Furthermore, it delves into the manifold junctures where BIM Technology finds application across the entire construction life cycle. By employing an actual project as an illustrative instance, this study compiles a synopsis of BIM Technology's utilization at each phase, conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the project through the lens of the accrued experience and outcomes. This assessment lays the groundwork for an extensive exploration of potential expansion and application avenues, culminating in the eventual advancement of BIM Technology's achievements.

Neural networks have received a lot of attention in recent years. However, neural networks are rarely used in the construction industry, especially for the risk assessment of new projects such as green buildings. This paper was mainly based on the theoretical analysis of green building evaluation and the establishment of green building comprehensive evaluation index system. Based on artificial neural network, the comprehensive evaluation system of green building projects has been studied. According to the principle of construction risk evaluation index system, a risk evaluation index system corresponding to green building projects has been established. According to the established risk index system, the corresponding BP (back propagation) neural network model was constructed. The BP neural network was learned and trained by MATLAB (matrix&laboratory) software. BIM (Building Information Modeling) model can carry the characteristics of building parameters and the characteristics of BIM technology collaborative design, information interoperability, performance simulation and other characteristics were used. Based on the information transfer between Autodesk’s Revit software and other analysis software, with DB-Link (Database Link) plug-in, Access database, Excel functions and macro commands as the medium, a green building auxiliary evaluation module based on BIM technology was constructed. According to the established comprehensive evaluation index system, the software and neural network model were used to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of green buildings for a green complex building project. The utilization rate of recyclable materials in the architectural design scheme of this project accounted for 17.66% of the total building materials. The results of the evaluation show that a green comprehensive building project has been built in a good grade, which is in line with its actual situation in the green building grade.

The theoretical concepts and methodological characteristics of implementing BIM technologies in construction companies have been defined. BIM is an information modelling of a construction object, which involves the collection and processing of all information about a building with all its interconnections and dependencies, when the building is considered as a single object. It should be noted that when analysing the definitions of BIM, it is possible to come to the conclusion that it is necessary to make a clearer distinction as to what type of object is meant. Thus, there are some definitions that refer directly to the building model (Building Information Model), the building lifecycle process (Building Information Modelling) and the entire investment and construction process system (Building Information Management). It is pointed out that the traditional approach to design is based on two-dimensional models – plans, drawings and paper documentation. In contrast, Building Information Modelling (BIM) technologies add new aspects – construction plans, time and costs. These can be presented in any convenient form using an information model of the object in virtual reality. The short and long term benefits of using BIM technology in the construction industry are analysed in this article. It was noted that BIM goes beyond standard CAD systems as it allows to create three-dimensional models, known as 3D models, as well as models defined as 4D, 5D, 6D and even 7D. An automated project management system is described on the basis of three elements: the structure of project activities, the structure of resources and the matrix of resource allocation to project activities. In an automated system that ensures effective project planning, control and execution, these elements form a project management model. However, effective cost management throughout the project lifecycle is crucial to the successful implementation of the information system and maximising its benefits to the organisation. According to the authors, the overall cost-effectiveness factor of using BIM technology is determined by several factors: reduction of the overall level of project risks due to proven, accurate and optimised design solutions for engineering systems; reduction of construction time and construction costs as a result of reducing the number of errors in installation and use of materials; improvement of the quality and efficiency of building use will help reduce the negative impact on the environment. The conclusions emphasise that the successful implementation of BIM technologies in a construction company can lead to economic efficiency through an increase in labour productivity, a reduction in the cost of resources and materials, as well as an improvement in the quality and safety of construction processes. In addition, using BIM can help improve the quality of buildings and optimise the use of resources, helping to reduce environmental impact. In fact, BIM is a significant cost driver through this comprehensive approach to project management in construction.

Purpose: Due to the characteristics of visualization, simulation, information integrity, and flexibility, Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology would be widely applied in every stage of construction projects. Method: The existing building structure inspection methods used in this article included safety inspection of existing buildings, applicability inspection of existing buildings, and durability inspection of existing buildings. In visual collaborative design, a project information data model was established based on BIM, and the real-time information dynamics of the building information model were mastered through the sharing and updating of local files. The “reinforcement family” established in this article was mainly composed of beams, columns, walls, etc. In order to achieve widespread applicability of reinforcement families, it was necessary to select family templates based on lines or faces that were not limited by the host when creating reinforcement families. Result: The implementation plan of the building renovation in this article had an annual power consumption of 1260476.5KW·h. Conclusion: While reducing costs and risks, BIM technology brought higher efficiency, higher quality, and more sustainable development opportunities to the construction industry.

In recent years, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of various natural disasters worldwide, the construction of emergency buildings, particularly emergency hospitals, has gained critical importance. This study explores methods for expediting the construction of emergency hospitals by applying the forward design theory of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the fundamental principles of modular design. Additionally, the spatial distribution of five emergency hospitals in Changchun City is analyzed, and an environmental simulation of the Convention Center emergency hospital is conducted using BIM technology and environmental analysis tools such as Honeybee in Rhino software. The collected data and experimental results are then examined to evaluate the thermal comfort of emergency buildings in cold climates.

This study suggests a pioneering conservation framework that significantly enhances the preservation, renovation, and restoration of heritage architecture through the integration of contemporary digital technologies. Focusing on the endangered drum towers of the Dong ethnic group in Southwestern China, the research employs a meticulous data collection process that combines manual measurements with precise 2D imaging and oblique unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) photography, enabling comprehensive documentation of tower interiors and exteriors. Collaboration with local experts in drum tower construction not only enriches the data gathered but also provides profound insights into the architectural nuances of these structures. An accurate building information modeling (BIM) simulation illuminates the internal engineering details, deepening the understanding of their complex design. Furthermore, UAV-obtained point cloud data facilitate a 3D reconstruction of the tower’s exterior. This innovative approach to heritage preservation not only advances the documentation and comprehension of heritage structures but also presents a scalable, replicable model for cultural conservation globally, paving the way for future research in the field.

Aim of the study: The paper presents the results and experiences related to the use of BIM technology in hydraulic and land reclamation projects. The authors rely on their extensive experience gained from various projects in the field. The article aims to demonstrate modern BIM technology’s potential and possibilities in designing hydraulic and land reclamation structures. Material and methods: The research focuses on areas such as hydrotechnics, land reclamation, embankments, ditches, as well as the use of specific tools and software such as HEC-RAS, Autocad Civil 3D, MacroStacion Inroads, OpenRoads Designer, and Allplan. Combined with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modelling, BIM technology is crucial in analyzing and designing engineering structures. Results and conclusions: The article discusses the benefits of using BIM technology, such as improved collaboration and data exchange between different disciplines involved in the project, more efficient hydraulic analysis, precise and consistent models, and the ability to visualize projects for better understanding and communication with stakeholders.

The growing demand for sustainable and energy-efficient buildings, particularly in the context of tall structures, has prompted increased attention to innovative solutions. Despite advancements in Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology, there exists a critical gap in understanding its comprehensive application for achieving net-zero energy consumption in tall buildings, particularly in the Malaysian construction industry. This research addresses this gap by presenting a novel strategy that integrates BIM technology with energy analysis tools for net-zero tall buildings in Malaysia. The aim of the study is to contribute valuable insights to the construction industry, policymakers, and researchers by conducting empirical research, utilizing case studies, validating the proposed framework, advancing sustainable design practices, and supporting the transition towards net-zero energy tall buildings in Malaysia. The methodology involves a three-phase approach, including qualitative analysis, a pilot survey, and a main questionnaire. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) validates the categorization derived from qualitative interviews, while Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) assesses the convergent and discriminant validity of the measurement model. Hypotheses testing using bootstrapping establishes the significance of correlations between BIM deployment and key factors such as early design integration, enhanced energy efficiency, optimized system integration, predictive performance analysis, and validation of sustainable design. The research findings support the positive associations between BIM deployment and the mentioned factors, providing statistical significance through T-statistics and p-values. The implications of this research extend beyond the Malaysian context, offering valuable insights for architects, engineers, and stakeholders involved in designing and managing sustainable tall buildings. By addressing the identified gaps and leveraging BIM technology effectively, stakeholders can contribute to the construction of net-zero energy structures, aligning with global efforts towards sustainable and energy-efficient building practices.

BIM technology is a breakthrough in the construction industry whose application is of great value, and the engineering design, engineering budget and cost control combined with BIM technology have been developed rapidly. Therefore, in this paper, BIM technology is adopted to optimise the construction mode, and the genetic algorithm is selected to solve the scheduling model of construction. By applying an interdisciplinary research method combined with computer science and technology, an intelligent optimisation model of construction can provide a new research perspective and technical method for the development of the construction industry.

With the rapid development of China’s electric power industry, the cost management of electric power projects, which is closely related to the power grid transmission and substation projects, has become more and more important. Do a good investment feasibility analysis of power projects. Optimize power engineering design. Reasonable determination of power project cost and effective control of power project cost are the main problems to be solved by the project cost management of power grid transmission and transformation projects. In this paper, DCN-BIM model is established based on DCN algorithm as the theory. A detailed calculation and analysis of the influencing factors and stage share of the cost management of power grid transmission and substation projects is carried out. Through calculation, it can be seen that the share of power products in the project cost is about 15.43% due to their special characteristics. The lowest cost share in the project cost is the project tender. Its share is only 10.03%. The highest cost share is for equipment materials. Its cost share is as high as 51.34%. The design phase accounted for 23% of the cost. The lowest cost share in the bidding phase was only 21%.

In this paper, a typical equivalent fitting linear modeling method is studied by using BIM technology. This paper realizes the quality-efficiency control of construction projects based on BIM technology. The software can realize the cost data statistics and collection of each sample. The system takes the statistical sequence of each department’s project cost as the original data for dimensionality reduction processing. The variance contribution is used as the weight to calculate the weight of each main component. According to the finite element analysis of combined parameters, the project cost and construction benefit are the restrictive factors. A multi-factor comprehensive evaluation method establishes a rapid construction cost evaluation model. The experimental results show that this method agrees with the conventional calculation method and the measured data. The estimated cost of construction differs little from the measured value. The results show that the model constructed according to different stages of the construction projects has good prediction accuracy.

In large-scale pile foundation drilling projects, the absence of digital work area management hampers dynamic construction management, affecting efficiency. This article explores multi-work area management during pile foundation drilling using a BIM parameterized model, focusing on informatization. The results indicate the following: (i) A dynamic zoning method for pile foundation construction using BIM models was developed to support information management systems and address resource allocation challenges amid dynamic construction team changes. (ii) Adaptive zoning methods were proposed, incorporating the dynamic adjustment of construction work areas, including the division of virtual work areas and adaptive adjustment of pile foundation partition parameters. (iii) Work area modeling and zoning were applied on site, with pile foundation modeling aligning with engineering design distribution, and work area zoning accurately reflecting the on-site construction status. (iv) This method enables adaptive synchronization between pile foundation model attributes and work area information, integrating zoning management into the information system to enhance the construction unit’s information management system and digital management level.

The Ningbo International Conference Center Project incorporates elements of Chinese traditional culture into its architectural style, resulting in the world’s first cantilever bridge international conference center. During the construction process, it faced challenges such as complex engineering geological environments and diverse architectural styles. By harnessing building information modeling (BIM) technology, many challenges encompassing intricate environmental conditions, architectural structures, and construction complexities are effectively visualized in three dimensions, thereby offering viable solutions for engineering implementation. In the scheme design stage, BIM technology plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between design and construction, optimizing engineering pile and wall material designs. During the deepening design stage, BIM aids in refining designs through intricate node optimization for the ultralong comb type inclined water panel curtain wall and glued wood column decoration, thereby enhancing construction efficiency. Additionally, BIM technology has also played an important role in the simulation and scheme analysis of the entire construction process of complex steel structures. Through the implementation of BIM technology, numerous challenges encountered during the construction phase of the Ningbo International Conference Center project have been effectively resolved, which serves as a valuable reference for employing BIM technology in large-scale international conference center projects.

In recent years, the investment amount of university engineering construction has been increasing significantly, and the establishment of scientific and reasonable cost management system has become particularly important in the investment control of engineering construction. This paper explores the investment control of university engineering construction and designs the basic framework based on three parts: whole process cost control, full caliber cost audit and full gradient grading management. With the help of BIM, we build a cost management system, which is divided into the planning stage, bidding stage, mid-construction, until the completion of the collation of cost data, extraction and preservation of cost indicators. After establishing a full range of cost management systems, the adjacency matrix X algorithm and functions are used to calculate. The experiment proves that: the investment estimate before the project construction affects more than 75% of the overall investment, and the all-round cost management system built based on BIM can make the investment estimate accurate and stable at 75%, and the negotiation change rule based on this is to save nearly 25% of the investment funds. The comprehensive cost management system has a comprehensive and detailed grasp of the cost process of specific construction projects and specific issues during construction, fully protecting the university’s investment interests.

With the development of China’s economy and society, along with the current situation of resource shortage and environmental deterioration, the traditional building production model has long failed to meet the actual requirements of architectural design, which has seriously restricted the development space of the construction industry. Green ecological building is one of the important initiatives to achieve energy saving and emission reduction in the construction industry and is also an important aspect of achieving sustainable social development. This paper proposes the application method of BIM technology in green buildings to solve the problems of green building in traditional design by studying the characteristics of building information model (BIM) technology and related standards, the principles and objectives of green ecological building design and green building design strategies and other related basic theories, combined with the advantages and characteristics of BIM such as visual design, collaborative design, information interoperability and performance simulation, The workflow of BIM technology in green building design is introduced. Based on ecological architecture and supported by the building information model, the application of ecological architecture in high-rise building design based on the integration of information technology is constructed, and the energy-saving efficiency of this method is increased by 16.7% compared with the traditional method. Building ecology design is a new concept based on integrating building information modeling (BIM) technology and green ecological architecture. With the development of building information modeling (BIM) technology, the green ecological building design concept will certainly play a positive role in promoting the diversification of architectural design and the efficient and rapid development of the architectural design. At the same time, to realize the effective saving of land resources, to promote the harmonious development of ecology, environmental protection, and residents, and to apply eco-architecture in the design of high-rise buildings is also an inevitable choice to realize the long-term as well as stable development of cities, and is the future trend of the development of the construction industry.

The standardization and quantitative extraction of component information are accomplished by establishing an information model of ancient buildings. Based on BIM technology, i.e., model visualization, virtual simulation and BIM-related software, this paper combines the dimensional types of components to realize the parameterization settings of components and further designs the information structure of ancient building components. The standardization rate, repetition rate, repeatability coefficient, and standardization coefficient of the components were calculated by quantitative methods, followed by the determination of standardized components and the quantitative extraction of component attribute features based on the BIM model map. Based on the standardization of the information of the five-room, nine-purlin-hipped ancient building members based on BIM, the spatial location of the ancient building members was determined with the following parameters: bucket size 32.5 mm, eaves height 2180 mm, net height 1802.8 mm, and side legs 23.1 mm. BIM application provides a new way of thinking for archiving and protecting ancient architectural data.

This paper explores the entry point of BIM technology in promoting intelligent construction and proposes an engineering safety accident prediction model for the construction of age-friendly intelligent buildings based on the gray prediction GM(1,1) method. Based on the physical condition of the elderly, the needs of the settlement, at the same time, the construction of an intelligent old-age design system, according to the needs of the corresponding response to the old-age building design, to facilitate the residence. The intelligent floor plate is identified as an example of the intelligent design results of age-friendly buildings by empirically analyzing their willingness to construct age-friendly intelligent buildings. In the willingness analysis, the survey results were analyzed for reliability validity and correlation; the reliability α coefficients were all greater than 0.7, the AVEs of the reliability were all higher than 0.5, the CRs were all higher than 0.7, and the reliability validity of the survey was high. The correlation coefficients were all >0, and there was a significant positive correlation between the survey variables. The vibration length was used as a criterion, and the accuracy, precision and recall were all 1. The experiments showed that the elderly have a high degree of intention to build age-appropriate intelligent buildings, and the buildings have a high accuracy in interpreting the state of the elderly, and they can detect problems in time and report them to the relevant personnel.

This paper analyzes and summarizes the difference between BIM technology and traditional methods in cost management, subdividing the cost index of construction projects into elemental price index, bill of quantities price index, index cost index, and calculating dynamic cost index of construction projects. Based on the cost performance index and schedule performance index, the schedule-cost two-dimensional model of BIM technology is formed to complete the assessment and control of cost performance in order to realize the value analysis of BIM technology in the dynamic cost management of the whole process of construction engineering. Analyze the dynamic cost management of BIM technology in the decision-making stage, design stage, and construction stage of construction projects with examples, focusing on the exploration of engineering cost problems in the construction stage, and analyze the project benefit rate of cost management with BIM technology. Through BIM modeling for collision and error checking and deepening the construction stage design, a total of 503 design collision and error problems are found in total, 15 design change orders are reduced, and about 1,629,480,000 yuan of economic benefits are generated.

When science and technology have been developed faster, many interior art design concepts and computer technology have been updated with the times. In this paper, the geometric data and semantic data in interior design are transformed through BIM modeling, the spatial structure elements are placed in the world coordinate system, and the relative coordinates are calculated with the spatial structure elements of the interior art design building entity as the origin. With the help of BIM technology, the interior art design layout is carried out. Based on the layout constraint function and spatial syntax quantization function, which constitute the layout objective optimization function, the optimization solution is calculated. Finally, Depthmap software is used to analyze the interior design layout for VGA and intelligent body simulation. The results show that after 100 iterations, the mean value of the coefficient of the degree of BIM application is 0.9373, the coefficient of the application environment is 0.951, and the degree of the application of the BIM technology shows a growing trend, indicating that the BIM technology is an inevitable direction for the reform of the interior art design technology.

In order to solve the problem of accurate cost control management in the process of engineering construction, this paper applies BIM technology to the whole process of cost management, covering the whole life cycle of the project. Through efficient sharing of information on the BIM collaborative platform, it carries out unimpeded process work and achieves refined management. Aiming at the complexity of the information characteristics that affect the cost and uncertainty of information transmission, an algorithm fusion scheme based on NCM-FPN has been designed. The TOPSIS method is used to integrate the case feature attributes into the cost case information database. By combining the clustering algorithm with practical management experience, the knowledge base of engineering cost control strategies can be established, and the logical relationship of strategy matching can be determined. The inverse cloud algorithm is used to establish the feature cloud, determine the fuzzy Petri network structure based on generative rules and design the inference algorithm to establish an intelligent model for strategy matching so as to realize the accurate mapping and rapid response from the target case features to the control strategies. Through the analysis of construction energy consumption, it is concluded that the construction energy consumption of different structure buildings is not the same; the construction energy consumption per unit area of brick structure, steel structure residence and frame office building is 0.1659GJ/m2, 0.2706GJ/m2 and 0.3104GJ/m2 respectively, and the largest is the shear-wall structure residence is 0.3381GJ/m2 for the 2.04 times of the brick structure. Based on BIM technology, the cost of dynamic control engineering for construction projects was reduced by 5.4 million. Therefore, BIM is an important technical means to promote the whole process control of project cost, from empirical control to informationization, standardization, and intelligent control.

The core objective of this study is to explore the application of BIM technology in the whole process of cost management of construction projects and to assess the project risk. The study covers the key stages of project planning, design, transaction and construction, and focuses on analyzing the cost management process of investment decision, design estimate, transaction and construction. Through questionnaire surveys and expert interviews with 72 valid samples, this study collects data on green building and analyzes the quality of the risk assessment data. In establishing the BIM-based project cost risk model, the study analyzes the management elements of BIM and IPD in detail, including the quantification of technical and management components. three case projects show that the application of BIM and IPD technologies in different projects has different focuses, and produces other management effects. for example, the number of engineering changes (e.g., the number of changes to the project) exhibited by the project B For example, the number of project changes (NCO) is 35, the cost change rate (COP) is 0.93%, the duration change rate (DCP) is −10.25%, and the number of contract negotiations (NRFI) is 6. The risk evaluation model is applied in a mixed-use project in Xiamen, China, and the results of the simulation experiments show that the method is effective in realizing the risk assessment of the construction project, and the clustered nature of the output features is good. The average value of the risk fuzzy variable is 0.576, and the minimum value is 0.192.

This study centers on the application of digital intelligence technology in project management, takes the geohazard project in Z area as the research object, and evaluates and predicts the grade of the danger of slope disaster and mudslide disaster in this area. The study begins with an in-depth analysis of the integrated fusion of BIM and GIS technologies. The integrated assessment and prediction model of geologic hazards was constructed using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and support vector machine algorithm. The study unfolded the analysis of the hazard class and risk prediction of geohazards. The results showed that most of the hazard classes in slope hazards were assessed as low danger, accounting for 33.33%. Meanwhile, about 70% of the mudslide hazards were assessed to have a low to medium hazard rating. Regarding risk prediction, the prediction accuracy of slope and mudslide hazards reached 89% and 90%, respectively. In addition, the detection rate of all geohazards in the ROC (receiver operating characteristic) curve was above 85%, while the false alarm rate remained between 14% and 22%. This result verifies the accuracy of the model in geohazard risk prediction. The comprehensive assessment and prediction model proposed in this paper will help the risk assessment and prediction of geohazards, provide adequate technical support for managing disaster information, and enhance the science and rationality of disaster prevention and mitigation.

This paper explores the application of BIM technology in the whole life cycle management of assembled buildings and investigates its role in improving construction efficiency, reducing costs and optimizing project management. The application of BIM technology in each stage is analyzed using principal component analysis and structural equation modeling methods. It was found that introducing BIM technology can significantly improve the efficiency of the design, production, construction and later operation and maintenance of assembly buildings. Specifically, in the design stage, BIM technology enhances the design efficiency through collaborative design; in the production stage, the production process is optimized through information management; in the construction stage, the 3D visualization tool of BIM reduces the construction errors and improves the construction efficiency; and in the operation and maintenance stage, the data management function of BIM technology improves the efficiency of the operation and maintenance of the building. The results show that applying BIM technology can reduce costs by about 20% over the entire project cycle. The conclusion indicates that BIM technology plays a vital role in the whole life cycle management of assembled buildings, which not only improves the efficiency, but also significantly reduces the cost, and is of great significance in promoting the modernization of the construction industry.

Currently, in China, intelligent construction research predominantly targets engineering projects, with limited focus on the benefits of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. This paper advocates for integrating BIM with cutting-edge engineering construction techniques, adhering to four intelligent construction level assessment principles. We introduce a benefit evaluation model for innovative construction, combining the two-dimensional cloud model with the Analytic Network Process (ANP) hierarchy method. Our findings highlight the significant role of BIM in enhancing operation and maintenance efficiency and in the deepening of design, evidenced by average scores of 4.0868 and 4.0691, respectively. Early stages of innovative construction projects benefit from BIM’s effective material usage control, reducing initial material consumption below planned levels. Furthermore, our analysis reveals BIM’s capacity to simultaneously optimize quality cost provision and additive cost, with Project 1 showcasing optimization indexes of 7.91% and 73.38%, respectively. These results underscore BIM’s substantial impact on improving the economic benefits of intelligent construction.

The drainage and firefighting water systems are critical components of construction projects. Due to the complexity and multitude of piping systems, issues such as impractical space arrangements and pipeline collisions can arise during construction. BIM technology enhances the design quality and efficiency of these systems through parametric integration of building information and three-dimensional visualization modeling. Based on this research background, this paper firstly constructs the model of water supply and drainage and fire fighting water based on BIM technology, plays the scalability of Revit, carries out the secondary development of Revit, and completes the program development of water supply and drainage, and fire fighting water pipeline height detection and pipeline automatic avoidance function by combining with C# language. This paper takes a building in the Shangcheng District of Hangzhou City to conduct empirical research, and the results show that collision detection through BIM technology saves a lot of time, improves efficiency significantly, and has higher detection accuracy. In addition, this paper utilizes a comprehensive evaluation system to objectively evaluate the effects of drainage and firefighting water construction in construction projects based on BIM technology. This study uses BIM technology to realize further development and exploration in the process of building drainage and fire water construction, reduce the conflict points in the process of drainage and fire water design, and improve the detection efficiency and accuracy in the design process.

The emergence of BIM technology has caused changes in the field of construction, which is of great significance to improving the construction technology and management level of roads and bridges. In this paper, the overall framework of the railroad bridge BIM model is constructed by utilizing several BIM software to display its corresponding geometric construction information and line information. Based on the relevant information, construction simulation technology is combined with BIM technology to propose a lean management model for a railroad bridge construction site. Specifically, it first checks the mechanical properties of the bridge plate to ensure the safety of its installation, and then optimizes the progress of the construction phase under the constraints of the construction site, realizes the deviation warning, and ensures the optimal completion of the construction project. The results show that the paving layer connection structure has an optimal load transfer effect in the range of 0-502kN. However, cracking at the critical point of the pressure plate can result in plastic deformation before. At the same time, the vibration of the abutment plays an important role in the safety of the overall bridge structure, and the abutment height of the bridge should be controlled within 40M. By optimizing the construction schedule of beams and slabs, the contract period can be shortened by up to 19 days, and the expected cost can be reduced by 760,000 yuan. The research results accumulate methods for applying BIM technology in the installation and construction stages of railway bridge beams and slabs.

With the rapid development of computer technology and information technology, bridge engineering is gradually transformed into information technology, and bridge BIM design technology is increasingly concern by the industry. This paper uses BIM technology to simulate the construction process of bridge steel structures. In order to solve the problem that the first model of BIM is too complicated, this paper utilizes the edge folding algorithm and quadratic error metric to refold the model and establish the new vertex coordinates, and at the same time, introduces the folding cost function to maintain the model characteristics. In the simulation experiments of the bridge structure construction, stress changes of the main girder of the bridge body are analyzed in various merging states. When the fitting error is +15mm, +25mm, and +35mm, the stress on the upper edge of the main girder near the top of the pier increases by 0.24MPa, 0.52MPa, and 0.78MPa, respectively, for the selection of materials and the prediction of construction and assembly parameters, in which the length of the steel girder N1 is accurate to the millimeters, which is 39940mm, and the single piece weighs 9,532.5kg. To prevent collision and interference with the bridge pier, the crane should be raised at a height of not less than 6.6m during the lifting stage. It can be seen that BIM technology can not only simulate and predict non-geometric factors such as the materials used but also simulate the margin of error and the bridge stresses as a way to help bridge projects on the ground.

BIM technology is an important method to solve the problem of collaborative design and construction processes in the construction process of engineering projects. Based on BIM, this paper proposes a corresponding optimization model from the perspective of collaborative design and construction processes, respectively. In the collaborative design optimization model, the engineering collaborative management theory is utilized to extract indicators of schedule, cost, and quality to establish an IFC-based collaborative design optimization model. A multi-objective genetic algorithm is employed to solve the construction process optimization model by establishing the optimal scheduling model with schedule and cost minimization objectives. As instance, a second-class residential land use project in Chaoyang District, Beijing, is the subject of collaborative design and construction process optimization analysis. The optimization rate of the crossbeam floor cover solution compared with the slab floor cover solution without secondary beams is 13.5%, and the optimization effect of the co-design process is evaluated at 81.48 points, which reaches the standard of “good”. During the construction of the 6# building, the shortest duration of wall panel construction is 0.8416d, and the duration practice is shortened by 0.1467d. The overall construction quality score is 81.126, which reaches the level of “good”.

This study seeks to enhance the integration of traditional Chinese cultural and artistic elements into contemporary architectural design, providing a rich source of inspiration. This paper investigates the connections between modern architectural symbols and traditional Chinese architectural and cultural elements. It identifies key characteristics of traditional architectural elements and proposes the integration of superficial structural features into contemporary designs, focusing on architectural space, form, and color. Utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology, this research designs a program that merges traditional Chinese elements with contemporary architectural practices. A specific test site was selected to implement this design. The study conducts a quantitative analysis of the space, form, and color characteristics extracted from the test site. The results indicate an overall symbolic value of the test building at 7.566. The analysis identifies the “stone lion” as an element with a high degree of alignment with traditional Chinese architectural elements, with nearly 50% of the participants rating its compatibility as 4 or above. Further quantitative analysis of the integration of color elements reveals that the color scale of the building’s main body predominantly ranges from 0 to 65, with a brightness level of 25 to 65, aligning with the aesthetic principles of traditional Chinese architecture.

With the rapid development of science and technology, the traditional construction industry is facing the urgent need for transformation and upgrading, and how to achieve the performance optimization of the assembly building frame has become an urgent problem to be solved. The research constructs the antique assembly building frame using BIM technology and uses a Matlab genetic algorithm to optimize the model of the building frame. The efficacy of the optimized assembly building is analyzed, and the safety performance of the BIM-Matlab frame building proposed in this paper is compared with that of the traditional frame building and the anti-buckling frame building to explore the effectiveness of the performance optimization of the BIM-Matlab frame building. The values of the structural non-lateral stiffness ratio of the BIM-Matlab assembly building are all greater than or equal to 1, and the seismic shear weight ratio meets the requirements. The displacement ratio and inter-story displacement ratio meet the code requirements under all working conditions. The building foundation’s zero stress zone is 0.00%, and the minimum stiffness-to-weight ratio value of 38.69 is enough to pass the overturning resistance and stability test. The BIM-Matlab framed building can endure earthquakes with greater intensity and safety reserves than conventional framed buildings and anti-flexural framed buildings, which are more secure in earthquakes.

This paper integrates the landscape information model, designs the digital twin rural landscape architecture, and analyzes the advantages of the digital twin rural landscape model. The practical application of digital twin technology is examined from the planning and design stage to the construction stage. Considering the actual construction site layout and the consumption of construction materials, the NSGA-II algorithm is selected to optimize the dynamic layout of temporary facilities by combining multi-objective optimization theory. Using the digital twin to drive the dynamic layout of the construction site, a digital twin-driven construction site layout mechanism is proposed in combination with BIM technology. The actual construction scheduling tasks are used to analyze the feasibility of the construction site layout scheme generated using digital twin technology. Analyze the construction of rural landscape gardens planned using digital twin technology in terms of ecological, social, and economic benefits. The convergence minimum is achieved at 0.15 and 0.09 when comparing the number of iterations between the initialized layout and the digital twin-driven layout. The corresponding scheme reaches its optimal state during the construction stage and can provide the most suitable site arrangement scheme during that stage. The rural landscape garden planned by the digital twin technology can generate an economic return value of 71.756 yuan/m² per year, which can further promote rural revitalization.

This paper focuses on the functional characteristics of BIM technology, emphasizing the need to develop a combination of BIM technology tailored to the user’s interior design process. We utilize the hardware and software to establish the BIM technology environment, construct the interior design model using the Autodesk Revit software platform, import it into Lumion for color rendering, and utilize Navisworks Simulate software to gather project data and monitor the interior design project’s progress. Autodesk Ecotect software was used to find out how lighting affected the interior design using BIM technology. Next, an interior layout optimization model based on the improved whale algorithm was made to solve the interior layout problem, and the impact of using AI was confirmed. The data show that the error range for the daylighting coefficient using BIM technology and the old method is between 0.04 and 0.91. The old method takes 131 minutes longer than BIM technology. This means that the BIM-based lighting simulation model pre-processing process is still much more efficient than the old method. Furthermore, this paper maintains all the model’s index values above 0.68, demonstrating the model’s ability to achieve a reasonable interior space layout while simultaneously enhancing both the layout speed and the layout effect.

Prefabricated construction addresses the extensive construction timelines and environmental pollution associated with traditional building methods. However, challenges such as inconsistent design standards and insufficient information exchange persist across various stages. This paper harnesses Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to mitigate these practical challenges in prefabricated buildings. It adapts the Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) standard framework to BIM technology and proposes an integrated management model for prefabricated building information using BIM. The engineering construction process is segmented into phases, and a combination of structured and unstructured data is employed to construct a hierarchical BIM model that facilitates the scheduling of large-scale data. For optimizing information scheduling, the Dynamo software programmatically divides components of the prefabricated building, and Python is utilized to streamline the development of corresponding nodes. A case study involving a multi-story residential building in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, demonstrates the benefits of this parametric design approach. Optimizations in the production and construction processes led to a reduction in total project duration by one day and an increase in direct economic benefits by 1,590,500 yuan, thereby underscoring significant financial advantages. This research contributes to the rapid implementation of functional requirements in prefabricated buildings, enhances work efficiency, and offers a novel approach to parametric modeling for this sector.

In recent years, the informatization technology of BIM and digital twin has been applied to the field of assembled buildings, especially the advantages of BIM technology applied in the construction industry are gradually emerging. Therefore, this paper takes assembly building as the object and cost control as the purpose of conducting research. Firstly, it introduces the application of BIM technology in assembly building, and secondly, the collision process in BIM technology is optimized by the MLS-MPM algorithm. Economic benefit analysis is carried out on the informative modeling of BIM technology in assembly building, and finally, the constructed model is applied to the basement design stage, the construction production and transportation stage, and the construction stage to evaluate its project benefits. The results show that on the basis of Revit software modeling, the Revit model was imported into Navisworks, and a total of 619 collision points were found in the basement. It is found that the collision results of pipe diameters below DN50 have little impact on the actual construction; pipe diameters above DN50 have a great impact on the elevation in the actual construction, which requires collision detection and drawing modification. The analysis of the economic benefits of information technology modeling in assembly buildings found that it can create benefits of up to 50,200 yuan during the design phase. The build production and transportation phase results in the creation of 58,800,000yuan in benefits. Optimizing schedule and cost control leads to 36,000 yuan and 13,500yuan benefits in the construction phase, respectively. This study is very important to provide a reference for the application of information technology in assembly buildings for future trends.

Accompanied by the continuous improvement of living standards, people's requirements for housing have become higher and higher, and on the basis of meeting the basic needs of life, the artistry of interior decoration has become more and more important. After clarifying the workflow of building information technology modeling, the study builds a management platform based on BIM technology in the Revit environment to achieve high-precision decoration design. Subsequently, the Kinect sensor was used to obtain point cloud data of the interior decoration scene and combined with the improved ICP matching algorithm for visual 3D modeling of interior decoration to evaluate the effect of high-precision interior decoration design. The mean values of satisfaction for the presentation of interior decoration style in the top view were 5.524 and 22.45 for usability, and the mean values of satisfaction and suitability for the presentation of interior decoration color in the top view were 5.812 and 22.22, respectively. For the layout carrier, the mean values of satisfaction for the presentation of the top view were 5.905 and 22.62 for usability. The use of BIM technology in high-density interior design leads to better results.

Objective: to systematize methodological foundations and to construct a conceptual model of information modeling technology as a basis for its full-fledged implementation with a view of improving the efficiency of investment and construction activities.Methods: review of information sources on the strategy of digital transformation of the construction industry; study of the regulatory system and retrospective analysis of the evolution of information modeling technology; systematization of information on its maturity levels; comparative analysis of analytical reviews and reports of leading consulting companies.Results: the essence of various semantic aspects of technology at the stages of its evolutionary development is investigated, the actual representation of information modeling technology is identified, a conceptual model is developed, and the features of technology from the viewpoint of process, technological and effective approaches are highlighted. The structural elements of the information model are determined, the dynamic processes of formation and progressive transformation of its components are described. The assessment of the current level of technology maturity in the Russian construction industry is carried out based on the Bew–Richards model; the importance of its full integration into the life cycle management system of the capital construction project to improve the efficiency of each stage of the investment and construction project implementation is substantiated.Scientific novelty: a modern interpretation of information modeling technology is presented, a conceptual model is developed on the basis of an integrated approach and its key elements are identified.Practical significance: the main provisions of the article and the developed conceptual model can be used by the subjects of the architectural and construction industry in developing a digital transformation strategy based on information modeling technology, in scientific research of theoretical and practical aspects of technology application, as well as in the educational process in the training of specialists in the construction industry.

Introduction: This study examines the impact of building information modeling on the cost management of engineering projects, focusing specifically on the Mombasa Port Area Development Project. The objective of this research is to determine the mechanisms through which building information modeling facilitates stakeholder collaboration, reduces construction-related expenses, and enhances the precision of cost estimation. Furthermore, this study investigates barriers to execution, assesses the impact on the project’s transparency, and suggests approaches to maximize resource utilization. Methodology: This study employed a mixed-method research design comprising document reviews and surveys. During the document review, credible databases including ScienceDirect and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Xplore were explored. The survey included 69 professionals, among which were project managers, cost estimators, and building information modeling administrators. The mixed-methods approach prioritized ethical considerations and the statistical Package for the Social Sciences and Microsoft Excel were used in the analysis. Results: The results show that building information modeling is a valuable system for organizations looking to reduce project costs. The results note that the technology improves cost estimation accuracy, facilitates the identification of cost-related risks, and promotes collaborative decision-making. Conclusions: Building information modeling is an effective cost-estimating technology that positively impacts additional project aspects such as decision-making, collaboration, performance, and delivery time. Therefore, the Mombasa Port Area Development Project should inspire other stakeholders in engineering and construction to embrace building information modeling.

The complexity of the wharf components and the harshness of the offshore construction environment increase the safety risk of hazards, which has highlighted the importance and urgency of safety risk management in high-pile wharf constructions. This paper established a visualized digital construction safety risk model for high-pile wharf based on a so-called FAHP method (the combination of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE) and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) methods). The construction safety risk indicators were constructed as the target layer, the principle layer and the scheme layer, and then the corresponding safety risk assessment algorithm was established. The physical, functional and safety risk assessment parameters of the component in the BIM model were employed to the safety risk assessment algorithm, and the risk assessment level of each sub-process was subsequently classified. The case study indicated that the high-pile wharf construction project included five elements in principle layer and 15 risk indicators in the scheme layer. Moreover, it was demonstrated that the sub-processes with the highest construction risk level were steel pipe pile sinking in wharf construction and steel pipe pile, steel sheath-immersed pile sinking and embedded rock pile construction in approaches to bridge construction with a risk level of III. In this way, the quantitative visualization of the construction safety risk was effectively realized, which facilitates the safety risk management of construction sites and timely warning and response to unexpected safety accidents.

The pre-tender cost estimation serves as the foundation for determining the project cost in the early stages and is crucial for all parties involved in the tendering process. It is expected to be highly accurate. However, industry surveys have advocated that in the Iranian construction industry, the pre-tender estimated costs of construction projects are not sufficiently accurate during the bidding stage. Building information modelling (BIM) technology is a modern digital tool deployed in the construction industry that has seen substantial growth of application. It employs useful tools in different sectors and has extended its involvement in various stages of the project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, planning, design, construction, and operation and maintenance. This study examines and assesses the status of BIM development in Iran for its applicability in the pre-tender cost estimating process in construction projects. The findings of this study indicate that while there is a limited number of Iranian building projects’ BIM models that possess the required quality and capabilities for BIM-based cost estimation, the results obtained are more precise when compared to existing manual methods. Additionally, utilising BIM-based cost estimation significantly reduces the time required for this process by enhancing the speed of cost estimation operations. An innovative evaluation framework for assessing the quality and functionalities of BIM models is presented, which improves the accuracy of cost estimation before the bidding process in Iran’s construction industry. The research findings demonstrate the enhanced accuracy and effectiveness of BIM as compared to conventional approaches. It also suggests the incorporation of AI technology for model evaluation, which has the potential to become an established global industry standard.

Background: AI, IoT, and BIM technologies are revolutionizing the building business. This study applies these methods to the multi-stage categorization of construction site modeling items to create an "evolutionary" digital twin. Objective: Develop and test a BIM-AI method integrating CNN and FFNN architectures. The goals are BIM project identification, classification, and assessment throughout their life cycle. Methods: The approach uses moving cameras for picture modeling and IoT integration. Augmented reality and big data technologies explore the dynamic transformation of actual building structures into BIM representations. An AI system that analyzes construction site modeling items using CNN and FFNN is a major part of the study. Results: The article highlights the usefulness of site conformity detection during BIM model building, displaying consistency and quantifying ongoing operations. The study shows that scaling point cloud and mesh models and optimizing the "evolutionary" BIM project of the building site's digital twin are promising. Conclusion: The findings of this study provide important insights and improve BIM modeling techniques, notably in creating a multi-stage "evolutionary" digital twin of the building site. This pioneering construction site modeling using BIM and AI opens the door to future developments and improvements.

Building Information Modelling(BIM) is the foundation of digital transformation in architecture, engineering, and construction(AEC)industry. BIM is the holistic process of creating and managing information for a built asset. A traditional CAD and 3D modelling technology is widely used in university’s architecture and landscape courses teaching today. Every single detail of traditional course education does not match the internationally market and BIM technology which is more common and popular today. Using BIM technology in university to teach architecture and landscape design will make changes to design education, and will improve the education practice in Environmental Design system. This article will introduce more detail about BIM technology, and how it changes and affects traditional architecture & landscape teaching, how this technology merged with professions, and how this technology brings comprehensive learning ways and new insight for students in their future career life.

In the scientific community, it is difficult to find a consensus on defining BIM. Just as the acronym BIM has developed in different ways, it is also understood in different ways. Depending on its understanding, different definitions emerge. It is defined differently by organizations and standards, differently still even by academics. Many years of academic discourse on the subject have failed to produce a solution. Despite the fact that the acronym BIM has already done its work for the construction industry, it still stirs up excitement. There is still no clear definition, as the view of BIM varies from one perspective to another. This article attempts to sort out the definitions cited so far by important organizations and key academics. This review was based on a deep literature study that has attempted to be inclusive and consistent. The question still remains open: do we need a single, correct definition of BIM? The aim of this article is to try to answer this question, open up a renewed discussion and come to a satisfactory consensus. BIM can be identified with an activity, product or system. This article breaks down the definitions of BIM, identifies six key attributes of BIM, presents the evolution of the understanding of BIM and proposes new definitions in a narrow and broad approach.

The BIM (building information model), as an innovative architectural technology, has received sufficient attention in the AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) industry, providing many possibilities for improving building management. Therefore, exploring the factors influencing of how BIM technology is applied has strong practical significance for promoting the application of BIM technology. Based on previous research, this article identified 16 factors that affect the application of BIM and established a relationship function between the influencing factors based on the current actual situation. A system dynamics (SD) model was constructed to analyze the mechanism of these factors and explore the key influencing factors of BIM application. The research results indicate that BIM technology maturity, the difficulty level of BIM software operation, and the degree of collaboration among various departments within an enterprise are key influencing factors. This article conducts an empirical analysis of a large project in China. Based on the research results, targeted improvement measures are proposed to improve the current level of BIM technology application and promote further development of BIM technology. However, due to the rapid development of BIM technology, the effects and weights of the influencing factors in different eras may not be consistent. The reference effect of this study’s results on era period of ten years or even longer is weakened, and scholars will need to continuously update this article in the future.

The application of BIM technology in building construction provides the possibility to realize design accuracy, to visualize the construction details, to optimize construction schemes, and to enhance cooperation among various professionals. The Yancheng Nanyang Airport terminal 2 project, with its large span of steel roof structure, complex installation in mechanical and electrical pipeline (MEP) engineering, and difficulty in construction organization, is taken as the engineering background. The whole process application of BIM technology in the construction process is introduced. In structural engineering construction, the application of BIM technology can provide guidance for plane layout of the construction site, and can also assist in deepening the designs of irregular steel components. In steel construction, the application of BIM technology gives a commendable visual demonstration of the construction process of the metal roof system and the single-layer reticulated shell. In MEP engineering, the application of BIM technology provides a great approach to establish a synthesis of pipeline drawings to further form pipeline section diagrams and operation drawings. By integrating the dimension of time, precision control, and deviation rectification, a recursive construction drawing can be built. With respect to synergistic management, the quality and safety management in the construction site can be implemented on the basis of BIM terminal equipment as well. This paper will give a great reference on the application of BIM technology in the airport terminal construction.

The digitalisation of the construction process is a phenomenon that has been significantly accelerated in recent years. BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology is becoming increasingly popular with designers, contractors and investors and is being used, mainly in relation to buildings. In communication objects, the application of BIM is much more difficult, as confirmed by the shifting schedules during implementation trials in road design. And yet, BIM is not only about the design or execution of construction works, it is worth taking advantage of the new possibilities especially at the stage of using the facility. BIM in transportation infrastructure is already used in other countries, mainly in Scandinavia, where work on its implementation began at the beginning of this century. The preparation of appropriate procedures and standards, adjusted to national realities, requires gathering experience on pilot investments. The paper presents an analysis of the necessary initial data which will make it possible to apply BIM in the Polish road construction industry. Moreover, the main risks occurring at various stages of the construction process are presented. The aim of the article is to indicate the necessary actions that will allow the advantages of BIM technology to be used more fully in road investments. The implementation of BIM in Polish road construction is not a distant future but rather "tomorrow", so it is worth knowing the limitations and preparing for the upcoming changes.

With the continuous promotion of BIM technology in civil and hydraulic engineering in China,the civil and hydraulic design industry has ushered in a new wave of technologies.Given the typical gate station projects in the Pearl River Delta region,the design and application research based on BIM is carried out.The concept of BIM technology and its application status in the water conservancy and hydropower industry are analyzed.Besides,the preparatory work before carrying out BIM design for gate station projects is described,and the various applications of BIM design such as parametric modeling,calculation and analysis,drawing and quantity,and scheme reporting are also introduced.Through this practice,the effectiveness of BIM technology in gate station engineering design is verified,which provides BIM application ideas for related engineering projects.
