Background: The inflammatory mediators released by injured endothelium enhance the interaction of circulating leukocytes with endothelial cells and contribute to development and progression of atherosclerosis. In this study we designed to determine some interleukins (IL-1?, IL-5, IL-6 and IL-8) as diagnostic markers instable angina pectoris. Methods: The study was carried out on 30 patients who were diagnosed with stable angina pectoris (18 males and 12 females).They visited Nasiriya Heart Center throughout the period from the beginning of November 2021 to the end of April 2022, and 20 age matched healthy person (13 males and 7 females). Background and objective: In recent years, with the increase in resistance due to the indiscriminate use of synthetic antibiotics, it seems necessary to find alternative drugs that have both antibacterial properties and have the least side effects for humans. The purpose of this study is to review the antibacterial properties of some medicinal plants. Material And Method In this review study, the content related to the antibacterial properties of Thymus vulgaris, Mentha pulegium, Crocus sativus, and Salvia officinalis were studied within Magiran, SID, PubMed, MEDLINE, Science Direct, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar, EMBASE, and Scopus databases from 1981 to 2019. Previously published specialized articles and systematic meta-analysis were used as a supplementary source for identifying relevant articles. Finally, data from 46 articles were pooled and analyzed. Result: Extracts and essential oils of Thymus vulgaris, Mentha pulegium, Crocus sativus, and Salvia officinalis had a good antibacterial properties against a variety of pathogenic bacteria and their infections. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, the studied plants can be considered as a suitable option for treating infections caused by pathogenic bacteria and helping to Return the sensitivity of antibiotics in these bacteria, and this requires more comprehensive research on medicinal plants.

Lallemantia iberica (Family: Lamiaceae) is used traditionally as stimulant, diuretic, expectorant, in the treatment of common cold, coughing, stomach and abdominal pain. It produced many secondary metabolites such as phenolic acids, flavonoids, tannins, triterpen, mucilage and oil. It possessed many pharmacological effects included analgesic, antibacterial and antioxidant effects. The current review discussed the chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of Lallemantia iberica.

Phytochemical analysis showed that Leontice leontopetalum contained many quinolizidine alkaloids, tannins, phenolic, flavonoids and many other bioactive contents. The pharmacological studies revealed that Leontice leontopetalum possessed antioxidant, antidiabetic, convulsant and anti convulsant, cytotoxic, anticholinesterase cardiovascular and smooth muscle contractile effects. The current mini review discussed the chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of Leontice leontopetalum.

Aqueous extract of Lippia nodiflora possessed anti-inflammatory activity in Carrageenan induced mice paw edema in both doses 100 and 200 mg /kg bw (P< 0.01). However, the ethanolic extracts didn’t induced anti-inflammatory effects in both doses. Aqueous extract of Lippia nodiflora exerted a concentration – dependent antibacterial activity against E.coli but not effective against Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Ethanolic extract possessed antibacterial activity against gram positive (Staphylococcus aureus) and gram negative (E. coli) but not effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Ethanolic extract of Lippia nodiflora significantly hasten blood clotting when used in a dose of 100 mg/kg (P< 0.05) and 200 mg /kg (P< 0.01). The effect of the ethanolic extract appeared dose dependent. However, aqueous extract didn’t exerted significant effects on blood clotting time in both doses used in this sTUDY
