The UV polymerization method is an efficient method to fabricate zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films. So far, this method is mainly based on the self-polymerization of zinc-based monomers, followed by annealing. However, the self-polymerization usually leads to long polymerization times, irregular morphologies of the product, and reaction wastes. To address these issues, the novel fabrication process and recipe to form ZnO films are proposed. This proposal uses zinc-based monomers and their solvent (acrylic acid) collectively as reactants in the polymerization process. The cross-linking between them significantly reduces the polymerization time to a few seconds without the reaction waste, and leads to a well-defined surface morphology of the zinc-based precursor film. The structures, morphologies and optoelectric properties of the ZnO films annealed at different temperatures are characterized. The results show that the ZnO nanocrystals exhibit a hexagonal wurtzite crystal structure. The ZnO films exhibit an average transmittance as high as 98% in the visible spectrum, and the optical bandgaps of 3.24–3.29 eV. The electrical performance of the film is strongly correlated with the oxygen vacancies content, leading to the highest carrier concentration and the lowest electrical resistivity of 4.09 × 10−1 Ωcm at the annealing temperature of 450 °C. Since time immemorial human beings have constantly been fighting against viral infections. The ongoing and devastating coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic represents one of the most severe and most significant public health emergencies in human history, highlighting an urgent need to develop broad‐spectrum antiviral agents. Salicylamide (2‐hydroxybenzamide) derivatives, represented by niclosamide and nitazoxanide, inhibit the replication of a broad range of RNA and DNA viruses such as flavivirus, influenza A virus, and coronavirus. Moreover, nitazoxanide was effective in clinical trials against different viral infections including diarrhea caused by rotavirus and norovirus, uncomplicated influenza A and B, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C. In this review, we summarize the broad antiviral activities of salicylamide derivatives, the clinical progress, and the potential targets or mechanisms against different viral infections and highlight their therapeutic potential in combating the circulating and emerging viral infections in the future. The new generation of information technology (IT) promotes the integration of fintech with the real economy. Existing studies emphasize the relationship between fintech and the real economy over the development level of fintech-served real economy (FtRE). To fill up the gap, this paper explores the evaluation of FtRE based on fintech improvement (FtI). Firstly, an evaluation index system (EIS) was established for fintech service efficiency (FtSE), and FtSE was measured through data envelopment analysis (DEA). Then, fuzzy c-means (FCM) clustering was performed to discretize continuous indices. Drawing on matter-element theories, the authors created the classic domain and node domain of FtRE, as well as the evaluation objects of real economy, calculated the correlation between each factor affecting development level and evaluated development level, and computed the weight coefficient of each index. Objective: To report a case of labour induction during extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support in a patient with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) caused by influenza and review of the literature.Methods: Case report and the literature search of all English articles on delivery while on ECMO in patients with ARDS caused by influenza.Results: A 25-year-old pregnant woman was initiated with ECMO due to severe ARDS caused by influenza A (H1N1) virus. When the patient had symptoms of colporrhagia and uterine contractions, the medical team decided to start labour induction while on ECMO. There were in total five case reports identified. Maternal oxygenation was improved after delivery and ECMO was successfully discontinued.Conclusions: Maternal oxygenation was improved after delivery, which may be beneficial to reduce the duration of ECMO. Caesarean section (CS) may be the most used mode and labour induction could be another option. The procedure should be performed by an experienced ECMO team, cooperating with the obstetrician, anaesthesiologist, and ICU doctors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
