Aqueous zinc metal battery (AZMB) has received widespread attention due to the advantages of low cost and high safety. However, challenges of dendritic growth, hydrogen evolution reaction, and other side‐reaction impede the performance of the Zn anode. Herein, 4‐amino‐benzene‐sulfonic acid (ABSA) is proposed as an additive to the ZnSO4 electrolyte for improving the performance of AZMB. Combined analyses of theoretical calculations and experiment results, ABSA assumes a pivotal function in constructing an adsorptive layer, facilitating the subsequent formation of a stable sulfur‐rich solid‐electrolyte interphase (SEI). Consequently, the SEI layer modulates the pathway of Zn2+ electrodeposition/dissolution and effectively hinders the deleterious growth of dendrites and unwanted side reactions. As a result, the Zn||Zn cells stably cycles for 2500 h at 1 mAh cm−2/1 mA cm−2 and over 1000 h at 10 mAh cm−2/10 mA cm−2. Significantly, the pouch cell of Zn||VO2 can obtain the specific capacity of 151 mAh g−1 after 100 cycles. In this study, a multilevel drought-induced resistance and resilience analysis (MDRRA) approach was developed to investigate the stability of vegetation in the Yellow River Basin (YRB). MDRRA was quantified by utilizing the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). It was applied to YRB to assess vegetation resistance and resilience to various levels of drought by utilizing precipitation and NDVI data from 2000 to 2019. The results reveal that vegetation resistance and resilience in YRB are affected by drought severity. Monthly and annual changes in SPI over the warm–temperate humid zone of the YRB show a decreasing trend, with rates of 0.001 per decade and 0.034 per decade, respectively; however, the other climatic subregions exhibit an increasing trend, with rates ranging from 0.002 per decade to 0.82 per decade. Over 77.56% of the downstream areas show increases in the annual SPI averages. Drought severity differs across subregions in the YRB. More severe drought events occur in its upper and middle reaches, while less severe ones happen in its lower reaches. As the drought severity increases, the arid and semiarid regions of the mesothermal zone exhibit a decrease in the resistance and resilience indices. In this paper, a failure analysis of the TMT90m + composite wind turbine blade performed by combining numerical simulation and full-scale destruction tests is presented. The complex failure characteristics of the skin were studied in detail and a driving relationship was obtained. From the results, it was found that the stress concentration leading to local buckling was due to the geometric and layup nonlinearities of the destruction region. This in turn contributed to the successive occurrence of matrix failure and fiber failure. Further, by using the method of finite element secondary development, the accuracy of four commonly used failure criteria for wind blade failure prediction is discussed. Solanum torvum, a wild relative of eggplant in the Solanaceae family, is widely used as a rootstock to prevent various soil-borne diseases. Despite this valued trait, S. torvum seeds exhibit strong seed dormancy, resulting in low-frequency germination and uneven emergence rates during agricultural production. In this study, exogenous gibberellin (GA) was applied to induce the germination of seeds, thereby enabling the application of transcriptome analysis to explore the effects of exogenous GA on germination. A total of 9723 genes were identified to be involved in GA-induced germination of S. torvum seeds. These GA-associated genes were enriched in amino sugar and nucleotide sugar metabolism, glycolysis, the citrate cycle, pyruvate metabolism, hormone biosynthesis, and signaling transduction. Further analysis of these genes reveals that exogenous GA impaired the endogenous biosynthesis of GA. Analysis of the 285 key genes influenced by GA, auxin, abscisic acid (ABA), and other hormones suggests mutual crosstalk in the signaling of various hormones, enabling the joint regulation of the germination of S. torvum seeds. Additionally, a total of 440 genes encoding transcription factors were identified to be responsible for transcriptional reprogramming during GA-induced seed germination, and putative candidate genes responsible for S. torvum seed dormancy and germination, including ABI5, DOG1, DRM1, LEC1, and PIF, were significantly down-regulated in germinated S. torvum seeds. Rechargeable magnesium-metal batteries (RMBs) have gained much attention due to their abundant resources as well as high safety. However, the high charge density of Mg2+ is one of the main reasons for the slow kinetics performance of RMBs, and modulation of the charge density is an important strategy to improve the kinetics and electrochemical performance of RMBs. Herein, we report on the conductive polymer polyaniline (PANI) for RMBs, which is found to have excellent kinetics and high discharge voltage when storing MgCl+. In the storage of MgCl+, PANI exhibits a high average discharge voltage platform is 2.3 V vs. Mg2+/Mg, which is higher than that in storage of Mg2+. We demonstrated the reversible intercalation/de-intercalation of MgCl+ in PANI accompanying with the reversible transformation between the quinone ring (C–C,–N=) and the benzene ring (C=C,–NH–) during charging and discharging. Density functional theory calculation reveals that PANI exhibit higher voltages (2.25 V vs. 1.82 V) along with lower diffusion energy barriers (1.27 eV vs. 1.55 eV) for MgCl+ storage compared to Mg2+ storage. Addressing the challenges for detecting underwater damage to the structures with pile foundation, this study presents the design of an adsorption-operated robotic system. Initially, a prototype is proposed for an adsorption-operated robot that is equipped with an automatic movement mechanism. To account for the disturbance of the drag force in the control system, a hydrodynamic numerical model for the detection robot is established. The numerical results of the drag force are then integrated into the control system, leading to the design of a force-redeemed active disturbance rejection controller. Furthermore, a novel detection algorithm based on the image segmentation network UNet is developed for the automatic identification of damages. The performance of the controller and detection algorithm is evaluated against traditional methods. The results indicate that the proposed force-redeemed active disturbance rejection controller outperforms traditional PID and ADR controllers in terms of overshoot and adjustment time. Moreover, the developed detection algorithm exhibits superior performance in precision, F1 score, and mean intersection over union compared to the traditional algorithms of FCN, PSPnet, Deeplabv3, and UNet. Calciumion batteries (CIBs) are an appealing energy storage technology owing to the low redox potential of Ca2+/Ca and the abundant Ca reserves in the earth's crust. However, suitable cathode materials with high capacity and long lifespan are scarce. Herein, VO2(B)/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) heterojunction formed by interfacial V─O─C bonds is constructed and first reported as a cathode material for CIBs, which exhibits an ultrahigh discharge capacity of 319.2 mAh g−1 and exceptional long lifespan (3000 cycles at 500 mA g−1 with capacity retention of 85%). In addition, VO2(B)/rGO heterojunction also shows an outstanding rate capability at 50 °C (127.1 mAh g−1 at 1000 mA g−1). The remarkable electrochemical performance is attributed to the big tunnel structures of VO2(B) and the role of rGO in enhancing electronic conductivity. Density functional theory calculations reveal a feasible Ca2+ diffusion path at the interface. Furthermore, a reversible single‐phase insertion/extraction reaction is revealed by in situ X‐ray diffraction, ex situ Raman, and ex situ X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The maximum detection distance is usually the primary concern of magnetic anomaly detection (MAD). Intuition tells us that larger object size, stronger magnetization and finer measurement resolution guarantee a further detectable distance. However, the quantitative relationship between detection distance and the above determinants is seldom studied. In this work, unmanned aerial vehicle-based MAD field experiments are conducted on cargo vessels and NdFeB magnets as typical magnetic objects to give a set of visualized magnetic field flux density images. Isometric finite element models are established, calibrated and analyzed according to the experiment configuration. A maximum detectable distance map as a function of target size and measurement resolution is then obtained from parametric sweeping on an experimentally calibrated finite element analysis model. We find that the logarithm of detectable distance is positively proportional to the logarithm of object size while negatively proportional to the logarithm of resolution, within the ranges of 1 m~500 m and 1 pT~1 μT, respectively. A three-parameter empirical formula (namely distance-size-resolution logarithmic relationship) is firstly developed to determine the most economic sensor configuration for a given detection task, to estimate the maximum detection distance for a given magnetic sensor and object, or to evaluate minimum detectable object size at a given magnetic anomaly detection scenario. Rechargeable magnesium batteries (RMBs) are appealing alternatives for energy storage systems based on the high theoretical capacity, low price and high security of the Mg metal anode. Nevertheless, the shortage of high‐performance cathode materials severely obstructs its development. As an important conversion material, transition metal selenides, with desirable theoretical capacity and weak bond energy (Mg−Se), have attracted more attention in recent years. In this study, CuFeSe2 (CFS) nanoparticles were produced by a hydrothermal approach and its feasibility as a cathode material for RMBs was further investigated. Given the synergistic effect between Cu and Fe, the optimized CFS shows a reversible capacity of 120 mAh g−1 at 100 mA g−1, outstanding long‐term cyclability (86 mAh g−1 at 1 A g−1 after 600 cycles), and prominent rate capability (85 mAh g−1 at 1 A g−1). Density functional theory (DFT) computations conclude CFS exhibits a suitable migration barrier for Mg2+ along the tunnel of 0.92 eV. An in‐depth investigation of the mechanism demonstrates that the Mg storage process can be divided into solid solution reaction and the conversion processes by ex‐situ techniques. Two isostructural rare earth metal–organic frameworks, namely [Re2(BBTC)(DMF)5Cl2]·2DMF·H2O [BBTC4– = 1,1'-butadiynebenzene-3,3',5,5'-tetracarboxylate, Re = Y (1) and Ho (2)], have been prepared via solvothermal reaction. Single crystal X − ray analyses reveal that complexes 1 and 2 both crystallize in the P21/m space group. Topological analyses suggest that these frameworks possess the same two–dimensional (2D) (4,4)-connected networks. Notably, the emission spectrum reveals the fluorescence of complex 1 is mainly from the ligands to ligands charge transfer transition. Further investigation indicates that complex 1 can act as a fluorescent sensor for highly sensitive and selective detection of Fe3+ and 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (TNP) in MeCN solution, the quenching constants (Ksv) are 1.45 × 105 M−1 for Fe3+ and 4.08 × 104 M−1 for TNP, with the detection limit (LOD) of 0.12 µM for Fe3+ and 0.52 µM for TNP. Furthermore, the possible sensing mechanisms of complex 1 as bifunctional sensors have been studied based on experiments. Two isostructural rare earth metal–organic frameworks based on 1, 1'−butadiynebenzene−3, 3', 5, 5'−tetracarboxylate ligand were synthesized and structurally characterized in detail, and complex 1 is promising bifunctional luminescent probe for highly sensitive and selective sensing Fe3+ ions and TNP through luminescence quenching effect, complex 1 also exhibits good recyclability for detecting Fe3+ ions and TNP. Emerging as a leading contender for economical, high‐security grid‐scale energy storage, rechargeable aqueous zinc‐ion batteries (AZIBs) are currently facing the challenge in its progression due to the absence of cathode materials with high energy density. In this study, we design a V2O5 ⋅ nH2O, GO and CNTs composite (HVO/GO‐CNTs) film through freeze‐drying and vacuum filtration. This binder‐free cathode for AZIBs exhibits remarkable electrochemical performance, featuring a high capacity of 387 mAh g−1 at 0.2 A g−1 and a high capacity retention of 82.6 % after 1000 cycles at 1 A g−1. Simple Summary: Heat shock (HSF) transcription factors are among the most important transcription factors in plants and are involved in the transcriptional regulation of various stress responses, including drought, salinity, oxidation, osmotic stress, and high light, thereby regulating growth and developmental processes. Astragalus mongholicus is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with important medicinal value and is widely used worldwide. Although the HSF gene has been reported in most species, it has not been thoroughly studied in A. mongholicus. However, the HFS gene family has not yet been identified in A. mongholicus, and little is known regarding the role of HSF genes in A. mongholicus. This study is based on whole genome analysis of A. mongholicus, identifying a total of 22 AmHSF genes and analyzing their physicochemical properties. Divided into three subgroups based on phylogenetic and gene structural characteristics, including subgroup A (12), subgroup B (9), and subgroup C (1), they are randomly distributed in 8 out of 9 chromosomes of A. mongholicus. In addition, transcriptome data and quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) analyses revealed that AmHSF was differentially transcribed in different tissues, suggesting that AmHSF gene functions may differ. Red and blue light treatment significantly affected the expression of 20 HSF genes in soilless cultivation of A. mongholicus seedlings. AmHSF3, AmHSF3, AmHSF11, AmHSF12, and AmHSF14 were upregulated after red light and blue light treatment, and these genes all had light-corresponding cis-elements, suggesting that AmHSF genes play an important role in the light response of A. mongholicus. Although the responses of soilless-cultivated A. mongholicus seedlings to red and blue light may not represent the mature stage, our results provide fundamental research for future elucidation of the regulatory mechanisms of HSF in the growth and development of A. mongholicus and its response to different light conditions. Conventional low-frequency electromagnetic wave (LFEM) transmitting antennas are enormous in size, which limits the application of LFEM in underground space. Rotating-magnet Based Mechanical Antennas can realize the miniaturization of low-frequency antennas, which is expected to bring new possibilities for underground electromagnetic detection or ground penetration communication. Firstly, this paper establishes a synthetic field method for solving the electromagnetic field of a rotating permanent magnet in the air-earth cross-domain case. The method equates the magnet as an orthogonal superposition of vertical and horizontal dipole sources, and the phase difference between vertical and horizontal dipole sources is /2. Based on the half-space theory of multilayer planar media, the quasi-analytical solution of the electromagnetic field of the magnetic dipole in the case of air-earth trans dimensionality can be found by superposition. Secondly, based on the finite element numerical model, the trans-earth propagation characteristics of the electromagnetic field excited by the rotating permanent magnet across the air-earth dual domain are studied. At the same time, the radiation characteristics in the rotating plane of the permanent magnet are also studied. Again, this paper systematically investigates the influence of parameters such as earth conductivity, emission frequency, and propagation distance on the electromagnetic field propagation. Finally, the principle prototype is developed and experiments are carried out. The results show that the finite element numerical model established in this paper is correct, the experimental results are consistent with the theoretical values, and a field strength signal of 0.9 nT can be received at 20 m. Rechargeable zinc ion batteries (RZIBs) have gained significant attention due to their high safety, low cost, and environmental friendliness. However, the high reactivity of water in traditional aqueous electrolytes leads to the problems of dendrite formation and side reactions in the circulation process of zinc anode, which limits the development of RZIBs. These issues are effectively addressed by eutectic electrolytes through the regulation of the number of water molecules in the solvation structure of Zn2+ ions via hydrogen bonding and coordination effects. Additionally, eutectic electrolytes have the advantages of simple synthesis, non-corrosive, and environmental friendliness, which has attracted much attention in the field of RZIBs. The article begins by providing a brief introduction to the basic principles and definitions of eutectic electrolytes, and then highlights their current applications in RZIBs. Rechargeable aqueous zinc metal battery has been one of the next‐generation energy storage systems with a promising future due to the advantages of aqueous electrolyte and metallic zinc anode. Among many cathode materials, vanadium‐based materials with considerable specific capacity, adjustable crystal structure, and multiple valence states are very promising cathodes, but the electrochemical performance of vanadium‐based zinc metal batteries faces severe challenges such as the limited and declining capacity and sluggish ion/e− transport kinetics process. Herein, taking VO2 as an example, the crystal structure and energy storage mechanism of VO2 cathode are briefly introduced. The challenges of aqueous Zn/VO2 battery are analyzed in depth. Significantly, the current advanced modification strategies for aqueous Zn/VO2 battery are summarized and discussed in detail, and the future development is also prospected. Synthetic auxotrophy in which cell viability depends on the presence of an unnatural amino acid (unAA) provides a powerful strategy to restrict unwanted propagation of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in open environments and potentially prevent industrial espionage. Here, we describe a generic approach for robust biocontainment of budding yeast dependent on unAA. By understanding escape mechanisms, we specifically optimize our strategies by introducing designed "immunity" to the generation of amber-suppressor tRNAs and developing the transcriptional- and translational-based biocontainment switch. We further develop a fitness-oriented screening method to easily obtain multiplex safeguard strains that exhibit robust growth and undetectable escape frequency (<~10−9) on solid media for 14 days. Finally, we show that employing our multiplex safeguard system could restrict the proliferation of strains of interest in a real fermentation scenario, highlighting the great potential of our yeast biocontainment strategy to protect the industrial proprietary strains. The skin is the largest organ in the human body. Various skin environments on its surface constitutes a complex ecosystem. One of the characteristics of the skin micro‐ecosystem is low biomass, which greatly limits a comprehensive identification of the microbial species through sequencing. In this study, deep‐shotgun sequencing (average 21.5 Gigabyte (Gb)) from 450 facial samples and publicly available skin metagenomic datasets of 2069 samples to assemble a Unified Human Skin Genome (UHSG) catalog is integrated. The UHSG encompasses 813 prokaryotic species derived from 5779 metagenome‐assembled genomes, among which 470 are novel species covering 20 phyla with 1385 novel assembled genomes. Based on the UHSG, the core functions of the skin microbiome are described and the differences in amino acid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, and drug resistance functions among different phyla are identified. Furthermore, analysis of secondary metabolites of the near‐complete genomes further find 1220 putative novel secondary metabolites, several of which are found in previously unknown genomes. Single nucleotide variant (SNV) reveals a possible skin protection mechanism: the negative selection process of the skin environment to conditional pathogens. By integrating an experiential learning view into an attitude model, we propose that an entrepreneur's attitude towards failure resulting from a prior setback experience can positively affect a new venture's commitment to learning. Moreover, the entrepreneur may be exposed to indirect experiential information by gaining access to managerial ties in the venture industry, moderating the influence of prior setback experience on attitudes towards failure. We developed a conceptual model to account for the conditional and indirect effects of an entrepreneur's setback experience on organisational commitment to learning through the entrepreneur's attitude towards failure. Using structural equation modelling, we analysed a sample of 143 entrepreneurs located in Western China's high-technology industrial development zones and found full support for our model. This study provides theoretical and empirical insights into the intertwined relationships between context-specific experiences, individual attitude development and venture outcomes in entrepreneurship. Lithium supply shortages have prompted the search for alternatives to widespread grid system applications. Potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) have emerged to promising candidates for this purpose. Nonetheless, the large radius of K+ (1.38 Å) impedes the march of satisfactory cathode materials. Here, we used solid-phase synthesis to prepare a layered K0.37MnO2·0.25H2O (KMO) cathode, comprising alternately connected MnO6 octahedra with a large interlayer spacing (0.71 nm) to accommodate the migration and transport of K+ ions. The cathode material achieved initial specific capacities of 102.3 and 88.1 mA h g−1 at current densities of 60 mA g−1 and 1 A g−1, respectively. The storage mechanism of K+ ions in PIBs was demonstrated ex situ using x-ray diffraction, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy measurements. Cetaceans (dolphins, whales, and porpoises) have large and anatomically sophisticated brains. To expand our understanding of the cellular makeup of cetacean brains and the similarities and divergence between the brains of cetaceans and terrestrial mammals, we report a short‐finned pilot whale (Globicephala macrorhynchus) single‐nucleus transcriptome atlas. To achieve this goal, we assembled a chromosome‐scale reference genome spanning 2.25 Gb on 22 chromosomes and profiled the gene expression of five major anatomical cortical regions of the short‐finned pilot whale by single‐nucleus RNA‐sequencing (snRNA‐seq). We identified six major cell lineages in the cerebral cortex (excitatory neurons, inhibitory neurons, oligodendrocytes, oligodendrocyte precursor cells, astrocytes, and endothelial cells), eight molecularly distinct subclusters of excitatory neurons, and four subclusters of inhibitory neurons. Finally, a comparison of snRNA‐seq data from the short‐finned pilot whale, human, and rhesus macaque revealed a broadly conserved cellular makeup of brain cell types. Magnetic current imaging is deemed an emerging powerful technique for visualizing electrical currents in electronic devices. However, the existing magnetic-field-based Fourier Transform back-evolution method is limited by its mono-function of imaging the magnitude of current density in devices under test, and subject to background noise distortion. Here, we developed a novel vectorial current density imaging method based on the detection of the magnetic field gradient generated by current carrying conductors. A closed form solution of current density inversion was analytically derived and numerically verified. Experiments were conducted by scanning tri-axial fluxgate sensor over different shapes of electrical wires. The results show that a current density resolution of 24.15 mA/mm2, probe-to-sample separation of 2 mm, and spatial resolution of 0.69 mm were achieved over a maximum scanning area of 300 mm × 300 mm. Such a method is verified to be capable of simultaneously imaging both magnitude and directions of current density, which is a promising technique for in situ noninvasive inspection for the power electronic and semiconductor industry. Culture-independent metagenomic studies have revolutionized our understanding of the gut microbiota. However, the lack of full genomes from cultured species is still a limitation for in-depth studies of the gut microbiota. Here we present a substantially expanded version of our Cultivated Genome Reference (CGR), termed CGR2, providing 3324 high-quality draft genomes from isolates selected from a large-scale cultivation of bacterial isolates from fecal samples of healthy Chinese individuals. The CGR2 classifies 527 species (179 previously unidentified species) from 8 phyla, and uncovers a genomic and functional diversity of Collinsella aerofaciens. The CGR2 genomes match 126 metagenome-assembled genomes without cultured representatives in the Unified Human Gastrointestinal Genome (UHGG) collection and harbor 3767 unidentified secondary metabolite biosynthetic gene clusters, providing a source of natural compounds with pharmaceutical potentials. We uncover accurate phage–bacterium linkages providing information on the evolutionary characteristics of interaction between bacteriophages and bacteria at the strain level. Here, the authors present an expanded version of the Cultivated Genome Reference (CGR), termed CGR2, a catalog that includes 3324 high-quality draft genomes based on gut bacterial isolates from Chinese individuals, and classifies 527 species from 8 phyla, including 179 previously unidentified species, and provides information of secondary metabolite biosynthetic gene clusters and gut phage-bacteria interactions. Although the performance of the self-standing electrode has been enhanced for aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs), it is necessary to explore and analyse the deep modification mechanism (especially interface effects). Herein, density functional theory (DFT) calculations are applied to investigate the high-performance cathode based on the VO2/carbon cloth composites with heterostructures interface (H-VO2@CC). The adsorption energy comparisons and electron structure analyses verify that H-VO2@CC has extra activated sites at the interface, enhanced electrical conductivity, and structural stability for achieving high-performance AZIBs due to the presence of built-in electric field at the interfaces. Accordingly, the designed self-standing H-VO2@CC cathode delivers higher rate capacity, longer-life cyclability, and faster electronic/ion transmission kinetics benefiting from the synergistic effects. The risks of active material shedding and dissolution during the dis/charge process of two cathodes were evaluated via ex-situ ultraviolet—visible (UV-vis) spectrum and inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES) technique. Finally, this investigation also explores the charge storage mechanism of H-VO2@CC through various ex-situ and in-situ characterization techniques. This finding can shed light on the significant potential of heterostructures interface engineering in practical applications and provide a valuable direction for the development of cathode materials for AZIBs and other metal-ion batteries. Subcellular mRNA localization is an evolutionarily conserved mechanism to spatially and temporally drive local translation and, in turn, protein targeting. Hence, this mechanism achieves precise control of gene expression and establishes functional and structural networks during cell growth and development as well as during stimuli response. Since its discovery in ascidian eggs, mRNA localization has been extensively studied in animal and yeast cells. Although our knowledge of subcellular mRNA localization in plant cells lags considerably behind other biological systems, mRNA localization to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) has also been well established since its discovery in cereal endosperm cells in the early 1990s. Storage protein mRNA targeting to distinct subdomains of the ER determines efficient accumulation of the corresponding proteins in different endosomal storage sites and, in turn, underlies storage organelle biogenesis in cereal grains. The targeting process requires the presence of RNA localization elements, also called zipcodes, and specific RNA-binding proteins that recognize and bind these zipcodes and recruit other factors to mediate active transport. The limited availability of cathode materials with high specific capacity and significant cycling stability for aqueous K‐ion batteries (AKIBs) hinder their further development owing to the large radius of K+ (1.38 Å). Prussian blue and its analogs with a three‐dimensional frame structure possessing special energy storage mechanism are promising candidates as cathode materials for AKIBs. In this study, K0.2Ni0.68Co0.77Fe(CN)6 ⋅ 1.8H2O (KNCHCF) was prepared as a cathode material for AKIBs. Both the electrochemical activity of Co ions and the near‐pseudocapacitance intercalation of KNCHCF enhance K+ storage. Therefore, KNCHCF exhibits a superior capacity maintenance rate of 86 % after 1000 cycles at a high current density of 3.0 A g−1. The storage mechanism of K+ in AKIBs was revealed through ex situ X‐ray diffraction, ex situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and ex situ X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements. Moreover, the assembled K−Zn hybrid battery showed good cycling stability with 93.1 % capacity maintenance at 0.1 A g−1 after 50 cycles and a high energy density of 96.81 W h kg−1. Background: Increasing studies have demonstrated potential disproportionate functional and ecological contributions of rare taxa in a microbial community. However, the study of the microbial rare biosphere is hampered by their inherent scarcity and the deficiency of currently available techniques. Sample-wise cross contaminations might be introduced by sample index misassignment in the most widely used metabarcoding amplicon sequencing approach. Although downstream bioinformatic quality control and clustering or denoising algorithms could remove sequencing errors and non-biological artifact reads, no algorithm could eliminate high quality reads from sample-wise cross contaminations introduced by index misassignment, making it difficult to distinguish between bona fide rare taxa and potential false positives in metabarcoding studies. Results: We thoroughly evaluated the rate of index misassignment of the widely used NovaSeq 6000 and DNBSEQ-G400 sequencing platforms using both commercial and customized mock communities, and observed significant lower (0.08% vs. 5.68%) fraction of potential false positive reads for DNBSEQ-G400 as compared to NovaSeq 6000. Significant batch effects could be caused by stochastically introduced false positive or false negative rare taxa. These false detections could also lead to inflated alpha diversity of relatively simple microbial communities and underestimated that of complex ones. Further test using a set of cow rumen samples reported differential rare taxa by different sequencing platforms. Correlation analysis of the rare taxa detected by each sequencing platform demonstrated that the rare taxa identified by DNBSEQ-G400 platform had a much higher possibility to be correlated with the physiochemical properties of rumen fluid as compared to NovaSeq 6000 platform. Community assembly mechanism and microbial network correlation analysis indicated that false positive or negative rare taxa detection could lead to biased community assembly mechanism and identification of fake keystone species of the community. Conclusions: We highly suggest proper positive/negative/blank controls, technical replicate settings, and proper sequencing platform selection in future amplicon studies, especially when the microbial rare biosphere would be focused. With the development of underwater exploration, underwater networking is in urgent demand. At present, underwater wireless optical communication (UWOC) is primarily based on line-of-sight (LOS) communication links. However, the underwater environment is so complicated that LOS communication links are easily affected by a couple of factors such as air bubbles, turbidity, oceanic turbulence, and so on. We put forward novel UWOC links using the total reflection at the air-water interface, which can mitigate those phenomena. This paper aims to investigate a UWOC link based on the total reflection at the air-water interface. In our work, we achieved the maximum data rate of 300 Mb/s and a bit error rate (BER) of 3.10 × 10−3 under the forward error correction (FEC) with the total reflection angle of 7°. Furthermore, we verified the performance of the total reflection-based UWOC links at the air-water interface in the presence of waves and evaluated the impact on the UWOC links when the frequency and amplitude of the waves varied. Summary: Amylose content is a crucial physicochemical property responsible for the eating and cooking quality of rice (Oryza sativa L.) grain and is mainly controlled by the Waxy (Wx) gene. Previous studies have identified several Dull genes that modulate the expression of the Wxb allele in japonica rice by affecting the splicing efficiency of the Wxb pre‐mRNA. Here, we uncover dual roles for a novel Dull gene in pre‐mRNA splicing and microRNA processing. We isolated the dull mutant, du13, with a dull endosperm and low amylose content. Map‐based cloning showed that Du13 encodes a C2H2 zinc‐finger protein. Du13 coordinates with the nuclear cap‐binding complex to regulate the splicing of Wxb transcripts in rice endosperm. Moreover, Du13 also regulates alternative splicing of other protein‐coding transcripts and affects the biogenesis of a subset of microRNAs. Our results reveal an evolutionarily conserved link between pre‐mRNA splicing and microRNA biogenesis in rice endosperm. In this work, a new type of graphene ICs only comprising multiple graphene field-effect transistor (GFET) components is first reported. Based on the GFET design that enables homogeneous electrical characteristics in batch-made devices, the practicality and functionality significances of multi-GFET integration are experimentally demonstrated via high-fidelity amplifiers for baseband analog signals. Different from the quadratic relationship of the gate-controlled current output (in saturation region) in the traditional silicon-based MOSFETs, the saturation current output of GFETs relating to the gate-controls possesses high linearity. This advantage overcomes the inherent nonlinear distortion issues in the existing silicon MOSFET amplifiers and potentially provides a promising scenario for the accurate preamplification of weak analog signals. Besides, the novel circuit configuration and signaling principle may expand the developmental paradigm of analog amplifiers and set groundwork for the development and practicalization of advanced carbon-based nanoelectronic ICs. Objective: This study analyzed the differences in the cerebral blood flow (CBF) between unilateral Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSNHL) patients and healthy controls (HCs). We also investigated CBF differences in auditory-related areas in patients with left- and right-sided SSNHL (lSSNHL and rSSNHL) and HCs. We further explore the correlation between unilateral SSNHL characteristics and changes in the CBF. Methods: 36 patients with unilateral SSNHL (15 males and 21 females, 40.39 ± 13.42 years) and 36 HCs (15 males and 21 females, 40.39 ± 14.11 years) were recruited. CBF images were collected and analyzed using arterial spin labeling (ASL). CereFlow software was used for the post-processing of the ASL data to obtain the CBF value of 246 subregions within brainnetome atlas (BNA). The Two-sample t -test was used to compare CBF differences between SSNHL patients and HCs. One-way ANOVA or Kruskal-Wallis test was used to compare the CBF difference of auditory-related areas among the three groups (lSSNHL, rSSNHL, and HCs). Then, the correlation between CBF changes and specific clinical characteristics were calculated. Results: The SSNHL patients exhibited decreased CBF in the bilateral middle frontal gyrus (MFG, MFG_7_1 and MFG_7_3), the contralateral precentral gyrus (PrG, PrG_6_3) and the bilateral superior parietal lobule (SPL, bilateral SPL_5_1, SPL_5_2, and ipsilateral SPL_5_4), p < 0.0002. Compared with HCs, unilateral SSNHL patients exhibited increased rCBF in the bilateral orbital gyrus (OrG, OrG_6_5), the bilateral inferior temporal gyrus (ITG, contralateral ITG_7_1 and bilateral ITG_7_7), p < 0.0002. lSSNHL showed abnormal CBF in left BA21 caudal (p = 0.02) and left BA37 dorsolateral (p = 0.047). We found that the CBF in ipsilateral MFG_7_1 of SSNHL patients was positively correlated with tinnitus Visual Analog Scale (VAS) score (r = 0.485, p = 0.008). Conclusion: Our preliminary study explored CBF pattern changes in unilateral SSNHL patients in auditory-related areas and non-auditory areas, suggesting that there may exist reduced attention and some sensory compensation in patients with SSNHL. Summary: Starch accounts for over 80% of the total dry weight in cereal endosperm and determines the kernel texture and nutritional quality. Amyloplasts, terminally differentiated plastids, are responsible for starch biosynthesis and storage. We screened a series of rice mutants with floury endosperm to clarify the mechanism underlying amyloplast development and starch synthesis. We identified the floury endosperm19 (flo19) mutant which shows opaque of the interior endosperm. Abnormal compound starch grains (SGs) were present in the endosperm cells of the mutant. Molecular cloning revealed that the FLO19 allele encodes a plastid‐localized pyruvate dehydrogenase complex E1 component subunit α1 (ptPDC‐E1‐α1) that is expressed in all rice tissues. In vivo enzyme assays demonstrated that the flo19 mutant showed decreased activity of the plastidic pyruvate dehydrogenase complex. In addition, the amounts of monogalactosyldiacylglycerol (MGDG) and digalactosyldiacylglycerol (DGDG) were much lower in the developing flo19 mutant endosperm, suggesting that FLO19 participates in fatty acid supply for galactolipid biosynthesis in amyloplasts. FLO19 overexpression significantly increased seed size and weight, but did not affect other important agronomic traits, such as panicle length, tiller number and seed setting rate. An analysis of single nucleotide polymorphism data from a panel of rice accessions identified that the pFLO19L haplotype was positively associated with grain length, implying a potential application in rice breeding. An inerter-based piecewise (IPW) vibration isolator is proposed in this paper to further improve the isolation performance of the piecewise vibration isolator without using an inerter. The IPW vibration isolator integrates the bilinear property of the piecewise vibration isolator and the mass magnification property of the inerter. Based on the arrangement of the inerter and damper, the IPW vibration isolator would have different forms. Herein, the parallel-connected (PC) and series-connected (SC) forms in the secondary structure of the IPW vibration isolator are designed, where the inerter and damper are in PC and SC forms, respectively. The two forms are defined as PC-IPW and SC-IPW vibration isolators. The dynamic response of the IPW vibration isolator under base excitation is acquired using the averaging method. The isolation performance of the IPW vibration isolator is evaluated by using three performance criteria: displacement amplitude peak, absolute displacement transmissibility peak, and isolation frequency band. The results demonstrate that the PC-IPW vibration isolator has a smaller displacement amplitude peak, smaller absolute displacement transmissibility peak and wider isolation frequency band than the piecewise and linear vibration isolators. The three performance criteria of the SC-IPW vibration isolator fall between the values of the piecewise and linear vibration isolators. In addition, the PC-IPW vibration isolator obtains the best isolation performance among the four vibration isolators. Therefore, the design of the IPW vibration isolator shows the benefits of introducing an inerter and offers an effective option for designing a piecewise vibration isolator with excellent isolation performance in practical engineering. Purpose: Social network theory emphasizes that, to acquire needed resources, new ventures should cultivate industrial connections (intra-industry ties and extra-industry ties). In the meanwhile human capital theory focuses on entrepreneurs' employment experience, especially with respect to its breadth and depth. This study examines ties and experience to determine whether, in combination, they have positive or negative effects on resource acquisition in new ventures. Design/methodology/approach: This study tests research hypotheses using questionnaire survey data with a sample of entrepreneurs in new ventures. Multivariate regression analysis is used to analyze the data. Findings: Combining intra-industry ties and experience breadth or extra-industry ties and experience depth affects resource acquisition positively, whereas combining intra-industry ties and experience depth or extra-industry ties and experience breadth affects resource acquisition negatively. Research limitations/implications: Conclusions may be constrained by the limited sample size and source. Rather, the impact of the study lies in its identification of the effects of interaction between network ties and entrepreneurs' experience on resource acquisition. Future research can explore the effects of interaction between other dimensions of network ties and a range of entrepreneurs' experience characteristics on resource acquisition. Practical implications: Entrepreneurs are provided with effective strategies to make use of their ventures' network ties and their personal accumulated experience in the process of obtaining resources. Originality/value: The findings enrich the entrepreneurship literature by providing a more nuanced understanding of how and when new ventures' industry ties and entrepreneurs' employment experience together influence resource acquisition. Main observation and conclusion: By a strategy of fine‐tuning of packing mode between the adjacent layers in a 2D net metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) through ligand changing, two 2D sql‐type MOFs with highly selective CO2 uptake, CuHIN and CuHPB, were successfully synthesized. Compared with the precursor MOF‐2, the fine‐tuning structure of CuHIN shows selective adsorption of CO2 over N2 and CH4 with the CO2 uptake amounts as high as 4.7 wt% at 0.15 bar and at 298 K, and CO2 selectivity towards N2 and CH4 is 165.8 and 10.22 at 1 bar and at 298 K, respectively. In addition, for the 2D MOFs, the dynamic porous structure depends on the interaction of the adjacent layers. The suitable interaction is good for gliding smoothly and gas adsorption. Vibrio parahaemolyticus has emerged as a significant enteropathogen in human and marine habitats worldwide, notably in regions where aquaculture products constitute a major nutritional source. It is a growing cause of diseases including gastroenteritis, wound infections, and septicemia. Serotyping assays use commercially available antisera to identify V. parahaemolyticus strains, but this approach is limited by high costs, complicated procedures, cross-immunoreactivity, and often subjective interpretation. By leveraging high-throughput sequencing technologies, we developed an in silico method based on comparison of gene clusters for lipopolysaccharide (LPSgc) and capsular polysaccharide (CPSgc) by firstly using the unique-gene strategy. The algorithm, VPsero, which exploits serogroup-specific genes as markers, covers 43 K and all 12 O serogroups in serotyping assays. VPsero is capable of predicting serotypes from assembled draft genomes, outputting LPSgc/CPSgc sequences, and recognizing possible novel serogroups or populations. Our tool displays high specificity and sensitivity in prediction toward V. parahaemolyticus strains, with an average sensitivity in serogroup prediction of 0.910 for O and 0.961 for K serogroups and a corresponding average specificity of 0.990 for O and 0.998 for K serogroups. Assessing the reproducibility, accuracy and utility of massively parallel DNA sequencing platforms remains an ongoing challenge. Here the Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF) Next-Generation Sequencing Study benchmarks the performance of a set of sequencing instruments (HiSeq/NovaSeq/paired-end 2 × 250-bp chemistry, Ion S5/Proton, PacBio circular consensus sequencing (CCS), Oxford Nanopore Technologies PromethION/MinION, BGISEQ-500/MGISEQ-2000 and GS111) on human and bacterial reference DNA samples. Among short-read instruments, HiSeq 4000 and X10 provided the most consistent, highest genome coverage, while BGI/MGISEQ provided the lowest sequencing error rates. The long-read instrument PacBio CCS had the highest reference-based mapping rate and lowest non-mapping rate. The two long-read platforms PacBio CCS and PromethION/MinION showed the best sequence mapping in repeat-rich areas and across homopolymers. NovaSeq 6000 using 2 × 250-bp read chemistry was the most robust instrument for capturing known insertion/deletion events. This study serves as a benchmark for current genomics technologies, as well as a resource to inform experimental design and next-generation sequencing variant calling. The limited endurance mileage of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) affects mode choice of commuters inevitably. To help facilitate BEV charging and improve accessibility of transit stations, the park-charge-ride (PCR) services have been implemented in some cities. This study develops a deterministic continuum equilibrium model for a monocentric city to analyze the modal choice behavior of commuters in a transportation system with BEVs and PCR services. Theoretical analysis is conducted for the model and some equilibrium properties are presented. The positive influence for setting PCR facilities is confirmed from theoretical point of view. It is also found that in the transportation systems with PCR services, a location exists that commuters living closer to CBD should choose railway as their only transportation mode. By deploying the discrete approximation approach, numerical examples are given to demonstrate the model. Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) have garnered widespread attention as a new large-scale energy storage candidate owing to their low cost and high theoretical capacity. Because of the unique divalent state of Zn2+ and the existence of a strong electrostatic repulsion phenomenon, researchers are currently focusing on how to prepare high-performance cathode materials. In this study, we synthesized aluminum vanadate (AlV3O9) as a cathode material for AZIBs using a solvothermal method. Al3+ acted as a pillar in the resultant structure and stabilized it. Furthermore, this large interlayer spacing enhanced the ion diffusion coefficient and accelerated the ion transport process. Because of these advantages, the AlV3O9 (AVO) cathode exhibited excellent electrochemical performance, including a high capacity of 421.0 mA h g−1 at 0.1 A g−1 and a stable rate capability of 348.2 mA h g−1 at 1 A g−1. Moreover, it exhibited a specific capacity of 202 mA h g−1 even at a high current density of 3 A g−1 (the capacity retention rate reached 84.38% after 1600 cycles). The prepared ZIBs presented a high power density of 366.6 W kg−1 at an energy density of 286 W h kg−1. Rechargeable magnesium batteries (RMBs) have attracted significant attention owing to the high energy density and economic viability. However, the lack of suitable cathode materials, owing to the high polarizability of divalent Mg‐ion and slow Mg‐ion diffusion, hinders the development of RMBs. V2O5 is a promising RMBs cathode material, but its limited interlayer spacing is unfavorable for the rapid diffusion of Mg2+, demonstrating unsatisfactory electrochemical performance. In this study, the superlattices of V2O5 and polyaniline (PANI) with expanded interlayer spacing are assembled as the cathode material for RMBs. The intercalation of PANI in the interlayer region of V2O5 significantly improves the reversible capacities, Mg2+ diffusion kinetics, and cycling performance of the PVO cathode. Furthermore, RMBs with PVO as the cathode and Mg metal as the anode deliver high specific capacities. The introduced polyaniline layer not only expands the interlayer spacing of V2O5, but also increases the electrical conductivity. Moreover, ex situ XRD characterization indicates that PVO does not undergo obvious phase transformation with the continuous insertion of Mg2+, which may be ascribed to the π‐conjugated chains of PANI that give flexibility to the structure to improve cycling stability. Co-barcoded reads originating from long DNA fragments (mean length >30 kbp) maintain both single base level accuracy and long-range genomic information. We propose a pipeline, stLFRsv, to detect structural variation using co-barcoded reads. stLFRsv identifies abnormal large gaps between co-barcoded reads to detect potential breakpoints and reconstruct complex structural variants (SVs). Haplotype phasing by co-barcoded reads increases the signal to noise ratio, and barcode sharing profiles are used to filter out false positives. We integrate the short read SV caller smoove for smaller variants with stLFRsv. The integrated pipeline was evaluated on the well-characterized genome HG002/NA24385, and 74.5% precision and a 22.4% recall rate were obtained for deletions. stLFRsv revealed some large variants not included in the benchmark set that were verified by long reads or assembly. For the HG001/NA12878 genome, stLFRsv also achieved the best performance for both resource usage and the detection of large variants. Background: The sequences of several important mitochondrion-encoded genes involved in respiration in higher plants are interrupted by introns. Many nuclear-encoded factors are involved in splicing these introns, but the mechanisms underlying this splicing remain unknown. Results: We isolated and characterized a rice mutant named floury shrunken endosperm 5 (fse5). In addition to having floury shrunken endosperm, the fse5 seeds either failed to germinate or produced seedlings which grew slowly and died ultimately. Fse5 encodes a putative plant organelle RNA recognition (PORR) protein targeted to mitochondria. Mutation of Fse5 hindered the splicing of the first intron of nad4, which encodes an essential subunit of mitochondrial NADH dehydrogenase complex I. The assembly and NADH dehydrogenase activity of complex I were subsequently disrupted by this mutation, and the structure of the mitochondria was abnormal in the fse5 mutant. The FSE5 protein was shown to interact with mitochondrial intron splicing factor 68 (MISF68), which is also a splicing factor for nad4 intron 1 identified previously via yeast two-hybrid (Y2H) assays. Conclusion: Fse5 which encodes a PORR domain-containing protein, is essential for the splicing of nad4 intron 1, and loss of Fse5 function affects seed development and seedling growth. VO2 generally has a higher theoretical capacity and layered structure suitable for the intercalation/extraction of zinc ions. However, Zn2+ ions with high charge density interact with the crystal lattice and limit further improvement in electrochemical performance. Defect engineering is a potential modification method with very promising application prospects, but the established procedures for preparing defects are complicated. In this study, VO2–x(B) with oxygen deficiency is prepared by a simple solution reaction with NaBH4. The presence of oxygen deficiencies is confirmed by positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy, UV/Vis absorbance spectroscopy and others. Owing to the presence of oxygen defects, the aqueous Zn/VO2–x(B) battery exhibits improved specific capacity, excellent reversibility, and structural stability. Ex situ characterization techniques are employed to demonstrate the reversible insertion‐extraction mechanism of Zn2+ ions from and into the host material. In recent years, zinc‐ion batteries (ZIBs) with near neutral (pH ≈ 4–6) Zn2+‐containing aqueous electrolyte have received extensive research due to their advantages of high safety, low production cost, suitable anode zinc, and environmental friendliness, etc. At present, one of the key challenges of aqueous ZIBs is the development of cathode materials with stable structure, rapid kinetics, and high capacity, etc. Compared with other cathode materials, V2O5 has an important potential application because of its high theoretical specific capacity (589 mA h g−1) based on two electron transfers, relatively low production cost, and suitable layered structure that facilitates zinc ion insertion/extraction. Herein, the following sections are proposed: 1) An understanding of the structure and energy storage mechanism of V2O5; 2) The recent development on the aqueous Zn/V2O5 battery from properties of V2O5 cathode and composition optimization of battery structure; 3) The application of V2O5 cathode in flexible ZIBs; and 4) The outlook and development trends in the future. Mental fatigue is a common psychobiological state elected by prolonged cognitive activities. Although, the performance and the disadvantage of the mental fatigue have been well known, its connectivity among the multiareas of the brain has not been thoroughly studied yet. This is important for the clarification of the mental fatigue mechanism. However, the common method of connectivity analysis based on EEG cannot get rid of the interference from strong noise. In this paper, an adaptive feature extraction model based on stacked denoising autoencoder has been proposed. The signal to noise ratio of the extracted feature has been analyzed. Compared with principal component analysis, the proposed method can significantly improve the signal to noise ratio and suppress the noise interference. The proposed method has been applied on the analysis of mental fatigue connectivity. The causal connectivity among the frontal, motor, parietal, and visual areas under the awake, fatigue, and sleep deprivation conditions has been analyzed, and different patterns of connectivity between conditions have been revealed. The connectivity direction under awake condition and sleep deprivation condition is opposite. Moreover, there is a complex and bidirectional connectivity relationship, from the anterior areas to the posterior areas and from the posterior areas to the anterior areas, under fatigue condition. These results imply that there are different brain patterns on the three conditions. This study provides an effective method for EEG analysis. It may be favorable to disclose the underlying mechanism of mental fatigue by connectivity analysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
