Purpose: To investigate the effects of transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS) applied over the primary motor cortex (M1) and cerebellum on balance control and shooting accuracy in elite ice hockey players. Methods: Twenty-one elite ice hockey players underwent anodal tDCS over the M1 (a-tDCSM1), anodal tDCS over the cerebellum (a-tDCSCB), concurrent dual-site anodal tDCS over the M1 and the cerebellum (a-tDCSM1+CB), and sham stimulation (tDCSSHAM). Before and after receiving tDCS (2 mA for 15 min), participants completed an ice hockey shooting-accuracy test, Pro-Kin balance test (includes stance test and proprioceptive assessment), and Y-balance test in randomized order. Results: For static balance performance, the ellipse area in the 2-legged stance with eyes open and the 1-legged stance with the dominant leg significantly improved following a-tDCSM1, a-tDCSCB, and concurrent dual-site a-tDCSM1+CB, compared with tDCSSHAM (all P <.05, Cohen d = 0.64–1.06). In dynamic balance performance, the average trace error of the proprioceptive assessment and the composite score of the Y-balance test with the dominant leg significantly improved following a-tDCSM1 and concurrent dual-site a-tDCSM1+CB (all P <.05, Cohen d = 0.77–1.00). For the ice hockey shooting-accuracy test, shooting-accuracy while standing on the unstable platform significantly increased following a-tDCSM1 (P =.010, Cohen d = 0.81) and a-tDCSCB (P =.010, Cohen d = 0.92) compared with tDCSSHAM. Purpose: This study aimed to examine the impact of different rest periods between short sprint interval training (SSIT) trials on the physiological and performance adaptations of female volleyball players. Methods: Twenty-four trained college athletes volunteered to participate in this study and were randomly assigned to 3 SSIT groups with different work-to-rest ratios (1:2 [5-s run:10-s rest], 1:4 [5-s run:20-s rest], and 1:6 [5-s work:30-s rest]). Before and after 6-week training, physiological parameters (maximum oxygen uptake, first and second ventilatory thresholds, and peak and mean power output) and physical performance measures (ie, countermovement vertical jump, 10-m sprint, and T-test change-of-direction speed) were evaluated. Results: After the training period, all groups improved (P =.001) their sport-related performance and physiological parameters, ranging from moderate to very large effect sizes. Comparative analysis of the magnitude of training effects indicated that the 1:6 SSIT group had in a significantly greater change in countermovement vertical jump (P =.007), 10-m sprint (P =.014), peak power output (P =.019), and mean power output (P =.05) compared with 1:2 SSIT group. By contrast, the 1:2 SSIT group demonstrated significantly (P =.022) greater changes in maximum oxygen uptake than the 1:6 SSIT group. However, the change-of-direction speed and changes in first and second ventilatory thresholds were the same among the groups (P >.05). Conclusions: When performing SSIT, longer rest intervals are suitable for physical and anaerobic performance, and shorter rest periods are appropriate for enhancing the cardiorespiratory fitness of female volleyball players' performance. In the field of engineering design, design for evolution is an economic and effective tactic to deal with changing customer requirements, in which the quantification of the product evolution degree between adjacent product generations is vital. Under the knowledge economy environment, user knowledge includes personalised experience, which can be used to develop competitive and creative products. The evolution of user knowledge can be applied to monitor product evolution to a certain extent. Thus, an evolution model is established to quantify the product evolution degree by integrating a user knowledge network, the Girven–Newman algorithm, latent Dirichlet allocation, an information axiom, and an evolution map. These methods are adopted to determine the knowledge topics for each product generation and to quantify the evolution degree of the current product generation, while the inheritance relation between each pair of knowledge clusters in two adjacent product generations is considered. Finally, the evolution process modelling of iPhone is performed as a case study to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The results show that the evolution map and curve to visualise the evolution process, and the evolution patterns and mechanisms are deduced to assist designers in forecasting future trends. A large amount of poultry blood is annually generated, and currently underutilized or largely disposed of as waste, resulting in environmental pollution and waste of protein resources. As one of the main by-products during the poultry slaughter process, the produced poultry blood can serve as a promising food ingredient due to its excellent functional properties and abundant source of essential amino acids, bioactive peptides and functional components. This work provides a comprehensive summary of recent research progress in the composition, functional and bioactive properties, as well as the functional components of poultry blood. Furthermore, the main preparation methods of poultry blood-derived peptides and their bioactivities were reviewed. In addition, their potential applications in the food industry were discussed. Overall, poultry blood is characterized by excellent functionalities, including solubility, gelation, foaming, and emulsifying properties. The major preparation methods for poultry blood-derived peptides include enzymatic hydrolysis, ultrasound-assisted enzymatic methods, macroporous adsorbent resins, and subcritical water hydrolysis. Poultry blood-derived peptides exhibit diverse bioactivities. Their metallic off-flavors and bitterness can be improved by exopeptidase treatment, Maillard reaction, and plastein reaction. BACKGROUND: Bacterial fruit blotch (BFB), known as the 'cancer' of cucurbits, is a seed‐borne disease of melons caused by Acidovorax citrulli. Traditional chemical treatments for BFB are ineffective and adversely affect the environment. Using dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) nanosecond‐pulsed plasma technology, melon seeds were treated to promote germination and growth and to control BFB. RESULTS: Based on the evaluation parameters of seed germination, seedling growth, leaf yellowing and bacterial infection after seed plasma treatments, 9 min at 20 kV was selected as the optimal plasma discharge parameter. In this study, seedling growth was significantly improved after treating melon seeds carrying A. citrulli using this discharge parameter. The number of first true leaves measured on the eighth day was 2.3 times higher and the disease index was reduced by 60.5% compared to the control group. Attenuated total reflectance–Fourier transform infrared measurements show that plasma treatments penetrate the seed coat and denature polysaccharides and proteins in the seed kernel, affecting their growth and sterilization properties. CONCLUSION: Pre‐sowing treatment of melon seeds carrying A. citrulli using nanosecond‐pulsed plasma technology can effectively control seedling BFB disease and promote melon seedling growth by optimizing DBD parameters. © 2024 Society of Chemical Industry. Dexmedetomidine (DEX) has been confirmed to exert neuroprotective effects in various nerve injury models by regulating ferroptosis, including spinal cord injury (SCI). Although it has been established that CDGSH iron sulfur domain 2 (CISD2) can regulate ferroptosis, whether DEX can regulate ferroptosis by CISD2 in SCI remains unclear. Lidocaine was used to induce PC12 cells and stimulate rats to establish SCI models in vitro and in vivo. MTT assays were performed to analyze cell viability. Ferroptosis was assessed by determining the levels of cellular reactive axygen species (ROS), malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH), and Fe2+. Ferritinophagy was analyzed by LysoTracker staining, FerroOrange staining, and immunofluorescence. Western blotting was carried out to quantify the levels of several proteins. Fluorescence microscopy was also used to observe cell autophagy. The morphology of mitochondria within the tissue was observed under transmission electron microscopy (TEM). DEX treatment weakened lidocaine-induced elevation of ROS, Fe2+, and MDA and reduced GSH in PC12 cells, indicating that DEX treatment weakened lidocaine-induced ferroptosis in PC12 cells. Similarly, lidocaine promoted autophagy, Fe2+, and microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3) in PC12 cells and suppressed ferritin and p62 protein levels, indicating that DEX could weaken lidocaine-induced ferritinophagy in PC12 cells. DEX treatment improved the BBB score, reduced tissue damage, increased the number of neurons, and alleviated mitochondrial damage by inhibiting ferroptosis and ferritinophagy in lidocaine-induced SCI rat models. The decreased CISD2, ferritin heavy chain 1 (FTH1), solute carrier family 7-member 11-glutathione (SLC7A11), and glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) protein levels and the elevated nuclear receptor coactivator 4 (NCOA4) protein levels in rat models in the lidocaine group were weakened by DEX treatment. Moreover, CISD2 inhibition reversed the inhibitory effects of DEX treatment on lidocaine-induced ferroptosis and ferritinophagy in PC12 cells significantly. Cold plasma (CP) is a novel environmental‐friendly preservation technology that causes minimal damage to fruits. The flavor and quality of winter jujubes have decreased with the extended storage time. Currently, the research on the use of CP on winter jujubes (Ziziphus jujuba Mill. 'Dongzao') mainly focuses on the effect of the treatment on storage quality. There is limited research on the effect of CP treatment on the flavor of winter jujubes. This study used different CP (80 kV) treatment durations (0, 5, and 10 min) to treat winter jujubes. The appropriate treatment time was selected by observing the changes in color, respiratory intensity, soluble sugar content, total acid content, and vitamin C (VC) content of winter jujubes. Amino acid analyzer and headspace solid‐phase microextraction in combination with gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometric detection were used to analyze the effect of CP treatment on the flavor compounds of winter jujubes. The results showed that the 5‐min CP treatment could significantly slow down the red coloration of winter jujube while maintaining high soluble sugar, total acid, and VC content. At the respiration peak, the respiratory intensity of the 5‐min CP treatment group was 0.74 mg CO2·kg−1·h−1 lower than that of the control group (p < 0.05). CP treatment slowed down the decrease in the content of amino acids and volatile organic compounds (such as 2‐methyl‐4‐pentenal, 2‐hexenal, and 3‐hexenal) in winter jujubes. Introduction: Art therapy (AT) has been widely utilized as a therapeutic approach for clinical nurses. In recent years, more and more researchers have applied art therapy to enhance clinical nurses' mental well‐being. However, many studies conducted in this area have suffered from limited sample sizes and insufficient research evidence. Aim: This study aims to conduct a systematic evaluation of the efficacy of art therapy on the mental health of clinical nurses. Methods: RCTs on art therapy for clinical nurses were searched across databases such as PubMed, Embase, etc., the results were analysed using RevMan 5.3. Results: There were 19 RCTs encompassing 1338 clinical nurses involved in this analysis. The Meta‐analysis revealed that art therapy exhibited a significant reduction in anxiety levels (measured by the SAS) among clinical nurses, as well as depression levels and perceived stress levels (measured by the CPSS). Furthermore, art therapy demonstrated a reduction in negative coping style and an improvement in positive coping style. Discussion: Findings indicate that art therapy can reduce anxiety, depression and stress levels in clinical nurses, while also enhance positive coping styles and promote mental well‐being. Therefore, the widespread implementation of art therapy in this context is highly recommended. Transforming carbon dioxide (CO2) into value-added chemicals is an innovative approach to tackling environmental issues and reducing greenhouse impacts. Owing to the excellent synergistic interaction between substrates and dopants, single-atom alloys (SAAs) exhibit promising catalytic performance in converting CO2 into valuable chemicals. In this theoretical investigation, we employed DFT to explore the catalytic potential of single-atom-doped Cu(111) surfaces in the conversion of CO2 to formic acid (HCOOH). Our investigation provides an in-depth analysis of the catalytic properties of Pd/Cu(111) and Pt/Cu(111) surfaces in relation to the Cu(111) surface. We have identified that *CO2 hydrogenation to *HCOO is the rate-determining step. This step exhibits greater kinetic feasibility on the Pd/Cu(111) surface than on the Pt/Cu(111) surface. The electronic state analysis reveals that the single atoms doped in the Cu(111) surface modify the local chemical environment at the nanoscale. The microkinetic simulation results indicate that Pd/Cu(111) achieves the highest turnover frequency (TOF), with a value of 3.78 × 10–5 s–1·site–1 at 500 K and 30 bar, identifying it as a promising catalyst for CO2 hydrogenation. Additionally, our findings suggest that adjusting temperatures at a constant pressure can lead to stabilization of the TOF values on Pd/Cu(111). This work contributes valuable insights for screening effective SAAs in CO2 hydrogenation to HCOOH, offering a promising direction for the development of catalyst design for HCOOH production. In view of the limitation that the existing theoretical methods cannot reflect the influence of fiber wettability on permeability, the analytical expression of capillary pressure and the calculation formula of lateral dynamic permeability of fiber tow impregnation process were derived. The numerical simulation of the process of resin impregnated fiber tows was carried out by using a phase field method. The simulation results indicated that the numerical solution of the capillary pressure obtained by the phase field method was consistent with the analytical solution obtained from this paper. This proved the reliability of the developed method. The effects of fiber volume fraction and contact angle on the dynamic permeability were studied. The results indicated that this method could better characterize the effect of fiber wettability on the permeability and realize the dynamic prediction of the permeability at different impregnation radii. Background: Soil nutrient status and soil-borne diseases are pivotal factors impacting modern intensive agricultural production. The interplay among plants, soil microbiome, and nutrient regimes in agroecosystems is essential for developing effective disease management. However, the influence of nutrient availability on soil-borne disease suppression and associated plant-microbe interactions remains to be fully explored. T his study aims to elucidate the mechanistic understanding of nutrient impacts on disease suppression, using phosphorous as a target nutrient. Results: A 6-year field trial involving monocropping of tomatoes with varied fertilizer manipulations demonstrated that phosphorus availability is a key factor driving the control of bacterial wilt disease caused by Ralstonia solanacearum. Subsequent greenhouse experiments were then conducted to delve into the underlying mechanisms of this phenomenon by varying phosphorus availability for tomatoes challenged with the pathogen. Results showed that the alleviation of phosphorus stress promoted the disease-suppressive capacity of the rhizosphere microbiome, but not that of the bulk soil microbiome. This appears to be an extension of the plant trade-off between investment in disease defense mechanisms versus phosphorus acquisition. Adequate phosphorus levels were associated with elevated secretion of root metabolites such as L-tryptophan, methoxyindoleacetic acid, O-phosphorylethanolamine, or mangiferin, increasing the relative density of microbial biocontrol populations such as Chryseobacterium in the rhizosphere. On the other hand, phosphorus deficiency triggered an alternate defense strategy, via root metabolites like blumenol A or quercetin to form symbiosis with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, which facilitated phosphorus acquisition as well. Conclusion: Overall, our study shows how phosphorus availability can influence the disease suppression capability of the soil microbiome through plant-microbial interactions. Background: Meta-epidemiological research plays a vital role in providing empirical evidence needed to develop methodological manuals and tools, but the reporting quality has not been comprehensively assessed, and the influence of reporting guidelines remains unclear. The current study aims to evaluate the reporting quality of meta-epidemiological studies, assess the impact of reporting guidelines, and identify factors influencing reporting quality. Methods: We searched PubMed and Embase for meta-epidemiological studies. The reporting quality of these studies was assessed for adherence to established reporting guidelines. Two researchers independently screened the studies and assessed the quality of the included studies. Time-series segmented linear regression was used to evaluate changes in reporting quality over time, while beta-regression analysis was performed to identify factors significantly associated with reporting quality. Results: We initially identified 1720 articles, of which 125 meta-epidemiological studies met the inclusion criteria. Of these, 65 (52%) had low reporting quality, 60 (48%) had moderate quality, and none achieved high quality. Of the 24 items derived from established reporting guidelines, 4 had poor adherence, 13 had moderate adherence, and 7 had high adherences. High journal impact factor (≥ 10) (OR = 1.42, 95% CI: 1.13, 1.80; P = 0.003) and protocol registration (OR = 1.70, 95% CI: 1.30, 2.22; P < 0.001) were significantly associated with better reporting quality. The publication of the reporting guideline did not significantly increase the mean reporting quality score (− 0.53, 95% CI: − 3.37, 2.31; P = 0.67) or the trend (− 0.38, 95% CI: − 1.02, 0.26; P = 0.20). Conclusions: Our analysis showed suboptimal reporting quality in meta-epidemiological studies, with no improvement post-2017 guidelines. This potential shortcoming could hinder stakeholders' ability to draw reliable conclusions from these studies. While preregistration could reduce reporting bias, its adoption remains low. Registration platforms could consider creating tailored types for meta-epidemiological research, and journals need to adopt more proactive measures to enforce reporting standards. Cytotherapy is a strategy to deliver modified cells to a diseased tissue, but targeting solid tumours remains challenging. Here we design macrophages, harbouring a surface glypican-3-targeting peptide and carrying a cargo to combat solid tumours. The anchored targeting peptide facilitates tumour cell recognition by the engineered macrophages, thus enhancing specific targeting and phagocytosis of tumour cells expressing glypican-3. These macrophages carry a cargo of the TLR7/TLR8 agonist R848 and INCB024360, a selective indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1) inhibitor, wrapped in C16-ceramide-fused outer membrane vesicles (OMV) of Escherichia coli origin (RILO). The OMVs facilitate internalization through caveolin-mediated endocytosis, and to maintain a suitable nanostructure, C16-ceramide induces membrane invagination and exosome generation, leading to the release of cargo-packed RILOs through exosomes. RILO-loaded macrophages exert therapeutic efficacy in mice bearing H22 hepatocellular carcinomas, which express high levels of glypican-3. Overall, we lay down the proof of principle for a cytotherapeutic strategy to target solid tumours and could complement conventional treatment. Macrophages are considered a good candidate for cancer cytotherapy because of their phagocytotic capacity, enabling them to deliver cargo to tissues. Background: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a genetically heterogeneous disease in which glutamine (Gln) contributes to AML progression. Therefore, this study aimed to identify potential prognostic biomarkers for AML based on Gln metabolism-related genes. Methods: Gln-related genes that were differentially expressed between Cancer Genome Atlas-based AML and normal samples were analyzed using the limma package. Univariate, least absolute shrinkage, selection operators, and stepwise Cox regression analyses were used to identify prognostic signatures. Risk score-based prognostic and nomogram models were constructed to predict the prognostic risk of AML. Subsequently, consistent cluster analysis was performed to stratify patients into different subtypes, and subtype-related module genes were screened using weighted gene co-expression network analysis. Results: Through a series of regression analyses, HGF, ANGPTL3, MB, F2, CALR, EIF4EBP1, EPHX1, and PDHA1 were identified as potential prognostic biomarkers of AML. Prognostic and nomogram models constructed based on these genes could significantly differentiate between high- and low-risk AML with high predictive accuracy. The eight-signature also stratified patients with AML into two subtypes, among which Cluster 2 was prone to a high risk of AML prognosis. These two clusters exhibited different immune profiles. Of the subtype-related module genes, the HOXA and HOXB family genes may be genetic features of AML subtypes. Conclusion: Eight Gln metabolism-related genes were identified as potential biomarkers of AML to predict prognostic risk. Background: Nurses' competence in clinical research is a key element in promoting high quality in the discipline of nursing, and the ethical aspects of research are of paramount importance. Therefore, nurses need to have a comprehensive understanding of the ethics associated with clinical research, which is an integral part of safeguarding the safety of subjects, ensuring the quality of nursing clinical research, and improving the ethical standardization of clinical research. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted on 304 nurses in a province of China between April 2023 and September 2023, utilizing convenience sampling. The survey questionnaire comprised two sections: a general information form and a questionnaire focusing on nurses' knowledge and attitudes towards clinical research ethics. Data analysis encompassed descriptive statistics, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and multiple linear regression. Results: A total of 320 questionnaires were distributed, of which 304 were valid. The ethical attitude of nurses in clinical research was better (91.17 ± 15.96), while the cognitive score was lower (63.08 ± 12.30). The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that degree, grade of hospital (I, II or III), technical title, number of clinical projects chaired in one year and whether the respondent has ever participated in an ethics training were the five factors influencing the knowledge of clinical research ethics (F = 9.341, P < 0.001, R2 = 18.0%); degree, grade of hospital (I, II or III), technical title, number of clinical research projects chaired in one year, whether the hospital has an ethics committee and whether the respondent has ever participated in an ethics training were the six factors affecting ethical attitudes towards clinical research (F = 8.919, P < 0.001, R2 = 17.3%). Conclusions: Nurses in a Chinese province scored low on the cognitive dimension of clinical research ethics, but their attitudes were at a relative high level, with many influencing factors. Degree, technical title, and grade of hospital, all affect cognitive and attitude scores. It is also worth noting that whether the hospital has an ethics committee affects the attitude scores, but has no effect on the cognitive scores.Nursing administrators and educators should consider providing effective and targeted strategies (e.g., ongoing training, scholarly seminars, and scholarly exchanges) to enhance nurses' knowledge and competence in clinical research ethics to protect subject rights as well as to ensure the quality of clinical research. Background: With the extensive use of chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA), an increasing number of variants of uncertain significance (VOUS) have been detected. The objective of the present study was to elucidate the pathogenicity and clinical variability associated with isolated recurrent 4q35.2 microduplications within the Chinese population. Methods: The present study involved 14 cases of isolated recurrent 4q35.2 microduplication (including 12 fetuses and 2 cases of pediatric patients) out of 5,188 subjects who sought genetic consultation at our hospital and received CMA detection. WES technology was subsequently utilized to identify additional sequence variants in a patient with multiple clinical anomalies. Results: All 14 cases exhibited isolated recurrent 4q35.2 microduplications spanning a 1.0-Mb region encompassing the ZFP42 gene. Among the 12 fetuses, 11 displayed normal clinical features, while one was born with renal duplication and hydronephrosis. Additionally, in the two pediatric patients, WES was performed for Case 1, who presented with congenital cataracts, severe intellectual disability, and seizures. This patient inherited the 4q35.2 microduplication from his phenotypically normal mother. WES identified a novel NM_000276:c.2042G > T (p.G681V) variant in the OCRL gene, which is associated with Lowe syndrome and may account for the observed phenotypic variability within this family. Conclusion: A series of 14 cases with isolated recurrent 4q35.2 microduplications were investigated, highlighting a potential association with increased susceptibility to renal abnormalities. Further, the present findings may expand the mutation spectrum of the OCRL gene associated with Lowe syndrome and provide valuable insights for the genetic etiological diagnosis of patients with unexplained copy number variants. The genes encoding PAL in Spirodela polyrhiza (L.) Schleid, the giant duckweed, were investigated in this study. Three SpPAL genes (SpPAL1–SpPAL3) were identified and cloned. All of them were successfully expressed in E. coli, and their recombinant proteins all showed PAL activity. In addition, SpPAL1 and SpPAL2 proteins could also utilize tyrosine as substrate, although the activity was low. A qRT-PCR analysis demonstrated that the expression of SpPAL3 was most pronounced in young fronds. It was found that the expression of SpPAL1 and SpPAL3 was significantly induced by MeJA treatment. Overexpression of SpPAL3 in Lemna turionifera inhibited the growth of fronds and adventitious roots in the transgenic plants, indicating the importance of SpPAL3 in duckweed besides its involvement in the secondary metabolism. Energy information is vulnerable to malicious denial of service (DoS) attacks due to the diversity and openness of the smart grid environment. In order to cope with the above challenges, this paper first proposes to adopt Markov hopping model to describe the random packet loss of measurement due to DoS attacks. Then, based on Holt two‐parameter exponential smoothing and untraced Kalman filtering techniques, a one‐step predictive value compensation method for measurement data loss is proposed, and an improved dynamic untraced particle filtering algorithm based on data fusion compensation strategy is designed. Current mainstream methods for detecting surface blemishes on substation equipment typically rely on extensive sets of blemish images for training. However, the unpredictable nature and infrequent occurrence of such blemishes present significant challenges in data collection. To tackle these issues, this paper proposes a novel approach for generating localized, representative blemish images within substations. Firstly, to mitigate global style variations in images generated by generative adversarial networks (GANs), we developed a YOLO-LRD method focusing on local region detection within equipment. This method enables precise identification of blemish locations in substation equipment images. Secondly, we introduce a SEB-GAN model tailored specifically for generating blemish images within substations. By confining blemish generation to identified regions within equipment images, the authenticity and diversity of the generated defect data are significantly enhanced. Medium- and low-permeability reservoirs are important in oilfield development. However, due to their characteristics of poor pore permeability and high heterogeneity, the development of suitable technologies has been very difficult. In this study, an in situ emulsifying/ultra-low-interfacial-tension cyclic flooding system has been developed for low- and medium-permeability reservoirs. Based on the hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) value method, an emulsifying surfactant ASD with Span 80 (sorbitan monooleate) as the main component has been identified as highly promising through screening. At mass fractions of surfactant ASD between 0.2% and 0.6%, the extent of water separation from the emulsion is greatly reduced, and the W/O emulsion can effectively improve the mobility ratio and increase the sweep volume. The surfactant SA synthesized in our laboratory reduces the interfacial tension of crude oil to 10−4 mN m−1. Laboratory core flooding experiments have shown that multiple rounds of alternating injection with aqueous solutions of surfactants ASD and SA can improve oil recovery by 22.25%. Upon injecting a low-viscosity aqueous solution of surfactant ASD, it emulsifies crude oil in situ under reservoir conditions, solving the problems of difficult polymer injection and insufficient spread. Grassland vegetation phenology has undergone great changes under the influence of climate, which affects ecosystem functions and services. However, the mechanism of preseason climatic factors in driving phenological shifts is unclear. In this study, we determined the start (SOS) and peak (POS) of the growing season for Inner Mongolian grasslands using gross primary productivity data (2000-2018). We investigated the spatiotemporal changes of SOS and POS and elucidated the mechanisms behind these changes by analyzing how these phenological events were influenced by the specific preseason climatic requirements (precipitation, air temperature, and solar radiation). Our results revealed that the SOS significantly advanced at a rate of 0.65 days/a, while the POS was stable across the study area. At the pixel scale, areas with initially later SOS and POS exhibited stronger advanced trends. An earlier SOS and POS were associated with lower thermal requirements, including air temperature and solar radiation. Conversely, a delayed SOS and POS necessitated higher climatic requirements. The impact of preseason precipitation on both SOS and POS demonstrated notable spatial variability. Moreover, the effects of different climatic factors on phenology were not in sync due to regional environmental disparities. Background: Rabies is an incessant public health threat in China. The Ministry of Health implemented the Central Payment for Rabies Prevention and Control Project to assist with rabies prevention and control in a few representative provinces in 2006. Methods: Data on human rabies cases reported by the National Infectious Disease Reporting Information Management System and national surveillance sites from 2006 to 2022 were collected, and statistical and multivariate analyses were then used to assess the effectiveness of current prevention and control efforts. Results: During 2006–2022, a total of 2025 human rabies cases were collected by the national surveillance sites, with incidence rates far above the national average, but the incidence rate was consistent with the national trend. Human rabies cases demonstrated a dual peak distribution in terms of exposure and onset dates, with the peak exposure dates falling mostly in the spring and summer and the peak onset dates occurring mostly in the summer and autumn. Three danger categories are shown by the geographical distribution: high, medium and low. Dogs had a high infection rate (86.93%), with own domesticated dogs accounting for the majority of infections. The rates of post-exposure prophylaxis are not constant. The median incubation period was 71 days. Conclusions: Various measures and policies implemented by the government have played a key role in reducing the incidence of rabies. To effectively prevent and control the resurgence of epidemics and halt the spread of the virus among host animals, it is imperative to prioritize and implement a robust dog management system, accelerate research and development of animal vaccines and improve the level of post-exposure prophylaxis. Hierarchical Bi2Fe4O9/BiOI S-scheme nanoflower heterostructures are prepared by hydrothermal method, which exhibit exceptional photo-piezoelectric catalytic performance. The tight binding between the sheets ensures the efficient electron transport, and provides a large interface area and adequate reaction sites for photo-piezoelectric catalytic reactions. At the same time, because the water flow in the water body produces hydraulic shear force on the material, the material produces piezoelectric effect. Bi2Fe4O9/BiOI exhibit a remarkable degradation efficiency of 99.4% for tetracycline and a hydrogen production rate of 4089.36 µmol h−1 g−1. The observed behavior can be explained by the combined influence of the formation of S-scheme structure and the process of photo-piezoelectric catalysis, confirmed by in-situ XPS, transient/steady-state fluorescence and piezoelectric response force test. The excellent stability of the material suggests its possible use in the sectors of energy and environment. CsPbBr3 exhibits strong green emission, but its toxicity limits its widespread application. Lead-free perovskites exhibit excellent optoelectronic properties while eliminating the toxicity of lead; at the same time, doping substitution is an effective means to further optimize the optoelectronic performance of perovskites. In this work, zinc(II) is chosen to achieve heterovalent substitution in the copper(I) based perovskite Cs3Cu2Cl5 and obtain strong green luminescence. The photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) reached 70.19% at an optimal doping concentration, which is twice the PLQY of undoped Cs3Cu2Cl5 and much higher than that of most doped lead-free perovskites. Furthermore, a white light emitting diode (WLED) was fabricated with doped Cs3Cu2Cl5:0.20 Zn2+ as a green phosphor, commercial blue phosphor Sr(PO4)Cl:Eu+, and commercial red phosphor CaAlSiN3:Eu2+. The color rendering index (CRI) is 95.8, while the correlated color temperature (CCT) is 4573 K, which is much better than that of the WLED fabricated with CsPbBr3. Background: The 15q11.2 BP1-BP2 microdeletion syndrome is associated with developmental delays, language impairments, neurobehavioral disorders, and psychiatric complications. The aim of the present study was to provide prenatal and postnatal clinical data for 16 additional fetuses diagnosed with the 15q11.2 BP1-BP2 microdeletion syndrome in the Chinese population. Methods: A total of 5,789 pregnancy women that underwent amniocentesis were enrolled in the present study. Both karyotype analysis and chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA) were conducted on these subjects to detect chromosomal abnormalities and copy number variants (CNVs). Whole exome sequencing (WES) was performed to investigate sequence variants in subjects with clinical abnormalities after birth. Results: Sixteen fetuses with 15q11.2 BP1-BP2 microdeletion were identified in the present study, with a detection rate of 0.28% (16/5,789). The 15q11.2 BP1-BP2 microdeletion fragments ranged from 311.8 kb to 849.7 kb, encompassing the NIPA1, NIPA2, CYFIP1, and TUBGCP5 genes. The follow-up results regarding pregnancy outcomes showed that five cases opted for pregnancy termination, while the remaining cases continued with their pregnancies. Subsequent postnatal follow-up indicated that only one case with the 15q11.2 BP1-BP2 microdeletion displayed neurodevelopmental disorders, demonstrating an incomplete penetrance rate of 9.09% (1/11). Conclusion: The majority of fetuses with the 15q11.2 microdeletion exhibit typical features during early childhood, indicating a low penetrance and mild impact. Nonetheless, pregnancies involving fetuses with the 15q11.2 microdeletion require thorough prenatal counseling. Purpose: Superficial Infantile hemangioma (SIH) is the most common type of IH. Some studies have shown the efficacy of 755-nm long pulse alexandrite laser (LPAL) and topical 2% carteolol hydrochloride (C-HCL) eye drops for the treatment of SIH. This article retrospectively analyzes the safety and efficacy of 755-nm LPAL combined with 2% C-HCL eye drops for treating thicker SIH, and explores the optimal treatment time for SIH. Materials and Methods: This study included 2– 5 mm thick SIH patients who received co-treatment of 755-nm LPAL and 2% C-HCL eye drops. The SIH patients were divided into 3 groups based on their age and IH growth curve: ≤ 1 month (≤ 1M), 1– 3 months (excluding 1 month; 1– 3M), and 3– 12 months (excluding 3 months; 3− 12M). Results: There was no difference in efficacy between the ≤ 1M and the 1– 3M group, and were both better than the 3– 12M group. Furthermore, there was no difference in the average number of treatments between the ≤ 1M and 1– 3M groups and were both less than the 3– 12M group. There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the groups. Compared with the ≤ 1M and 1– 3M groups, the 3– 12M group indicated more permanent skin lesions after the treatment. Conclusion: It was revealed that co-treatment with 755-nm LPAL and 2% C-HCL eye drops is safe and effective against thicker SIH. Compared with the 3– 12M group, ≤ 3 months can achieve better efficacy, requires a shorter treatment time, less likely to leave permanent skin lesions such as scars. Condyloma acuminatum (CA), commonly known as anogenital warts, is a prevalent sexually transmitted disease primarily caused by low risk human papillomavirus (HPV) types 6 and 11. This case report outlines the successful use of photodynamic therapy (PDT) to treat extensive condyloma acuminatum in a young female patient with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) undergoing immunosuppressive treatment. The patient also had cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade I. Carbon dioxide laser treatment were initially used to remove some surface warts, followed by PDT, resulting in satisfactory outcomes. After seven sessions, the warty growths were successfully removed. Interdisciplinary collaboration, involving rheumatology, gynecology, and dermatology, facilitated comprehensive management. This case highlights the efficacy and safety of PDT in treating condyloma acuminatum and suggests its potential as an alternative treatment for young SLE patients with similar conditions. This study used a combination method of ultrafine grinding and pregelatinization to modify rice starch (RS) to delay its retrogradation and provide a rationale for prolonging rice product shelf life. The structure and physicochemical properties of the pregelatinized ultrafine grinding rice starch (PURS) were compared with those of RS, ultrafine grinding rice starch (URS), and pregelatinized rice starch (PRS). The microstructure, molecular weight, branched starch length distribution, short‐range order, crystal structure, and physical properties of RS, URS, PRS, and PURS were analyzed, respectively. Results showed that RS, URS, PRS, and PURS granules exhibited similar spherical or polygonal shapes, and the content of amylose and short‐branched starch in PURS increased compared with RS, URS, and PRS. Furthermore, the cross‐polarization of PRS and PURS disappeared. Long‐chain amylopectin and average molecular weight of PURS decreased significantly after ultrafine grinding. Our study suggested reduced breakdown value and setback value and improved gel stability, and PURS was beneficial for delaying retrogradation compared to RS, URS, and PRS. The ultrafine grinding method improved the water swelling capacity (WSC), solubility, pasting properties, and gelation properties of PRS. The hardness of PURS was reduced by ultrafine grinding. These suggest that the combination of ultrafine grinding and pregelatinization could improve the properties of RS. Pearson's correlation analysis showed that the structure of PURS significantly influenced the physicochemical properties. The present study was helpful in better understanding the importance of ultrafine grinding in improving the anti‐retrogradation of PURS and provided new insights into extending the shelf life of rice products by ultrafine grinding and pregelatinization. Protein kinase CK2 is a validated target for cancer therapy. Many natural products have shown inhibitory activity against CK2 as potential anti-cancer drug candidates. A compatible quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) model of natural products is necessary to identify the structural determinants related to their biological activities and provides valuable clues for the discovery of natural leads as anticancer drugs. In this study, genetic algorithm (GA) and multiple linear regression (MLR) methods, combined with preferred molecular descriptors, were employed to build QSAR models of CK2 natural product inhibitors. The best model, composed of eight molecular descriptors, yielded Q2Loo = 0.7914 and R2 = 0.8220 for the training set and Q2ext = 0.7921 and R2ext = 0.7998 for the test set, indicating the model's robust reliability and high predictability. As a proof of concept, a true external test set, distinct from the training and test sets, was synthesized and tested in vitro to verify the predictive ability of this model. The predicted pIC50 values of 13 compounds showed less than 30% relative error (including 10 compounds with relative errors less than 20%), further validating the predictive performance of this model. And compound M18, M24, and M26 were identified as potential CK2 inhibitors with the predicted pIC50 values of 11.29, 8.79, and 12.03 respectively. Furthermore, the underlying structural mechanisms through which key molecular descriptors influenced their inhibitory activities against CK2 were elucidated. The Comprehensive Commercial Logging Ban Policy in all natural forests (CCLBP) as the strictest forest conservation measure brings uncertainty to the income of farmers engaged in forest land management. Therefore, clarifying the impact and heterogeneity of the CCLBP on farmers' income has become a significant issue of current concern. Based on county-level panel data from China covering the period 2000–2020, this study uses Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD) to identify the impact of the CCLBP on farmers' income. The empirical results show that (1) the CCLBP has a significantly positive effect on farmers' income, with the policy leading to an increase in farmers' income of approximately RMB 411–582; (2) the impact of the CCLBP on farmers' income exhibits regional heterogeneity, with significant positive effects observed in Hebei, Shandong, Hubei, and Shaanxi, significant negative effects observed in Guangxi, and insignificant effects observed in other provinces; and (3) the CCLBP not only promotes the development of non-agricultural industries and labor mobility but also effectively reduces capital outflow, thereby increasing farmers' income. This study contributes to the understanding of the underlying mechanisms between the CCLBP and farmers' income, and it has significant practical implications for promoting the increase in farmers' income, narrowing the income gap among farmers, and achieving common prosperity. Forest fires can lead to a decline in ecosystem functions, such as biodiversity, soil quality, and carbon cycling, causing economic losses and health threats to human societies. Therefore, it is imperative to map forest-fire risk to mitigate the likelihood of forest-fire occurrence. In this study, we utilized the hierarchical analysis process (AHP), a comprehensive weighting method (CWM), and random forest to map the forest-fire risk in the Anning River Valley of Sichuan Province. We selected non-photosynthetic vegetation (NPV), photosynthetic vegetation (PV), normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), plant species, land use, soil type, temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed, elevation, slope, aspect, distance to road, and distance to residential as forest-fire predisposing factors. We derived the following conclusions. (1) Overlaying historical fire points with mapped forest-fire risk revealed an accuracy that exceeded 86%, indicating the reliability of the results. (2) Forest fires in the Anning River Valley primarily occur in February, March, and April, typically months characterized by very low rainfall and dry conditions. (3) Areas with high and medium forest-fire risk were mainly distributed in Dechang and Xide counties, while low-risk areas were most prevalent in Xichang city and Mianning country. (4) Rainfall, temperature, elevation, and NPV emerged as the main influencing factors, exerting a dominant role in the occurrence of forest fires. Specifically, a higher NPV coverage correlates with an increased risk of forest fire. In conclusion, this study represents a novel approach by incorporating NPV and PV as key factors in triggering forest fires. By mapping forest-fire risk, we have provided a robust scientific foundation and decision-making support for effective fire management strategies. There is an urgent need to accurately quantify microRNA (miRNA)-based Alzheimer's disease (AD) biomarkers, which have emerged as promising diagnostic biomarkers. In this study, we present a rapid and universal approach to establishing a target miRNA-triggered rolling circle amplification (RCA) detection strategy, which achieves ultrasensitive detection of several targets, including miR-let7a-5p, miR-34a-5p, miR-206-3p, miR-9-5p, miR-132-3p, miR-146a-5p, and miR-21-5p. Herein, the padlock probe contains three repeated signal strand binding regions and a target miRNA-specific region. The target miRNA-specific region captures miRNA, and then the padlock probe is circularized with the addition of T4 DNA ligase. Subsequently, an RCA reaction is triggered, and RCA products containing multiple signal strand binding regions are generated to trap abundant fluorescein-labeled signal strands. The addition of exonuclease III (Exo III) causes signal strand digestion and leads to RCA product recycling and liberation of fluorescein. Ultimately, graphene oxide (GO) does not absorb the liberated fluorescein because of poor mutual interaction. This method exhibited high specificity, sensitivity, repeatability, and stability toward let-7a, with a detection limit of 19.35 fM and a linear range of 50 fM to 5 nM. Moreover, it showed excellent applicability for recovering miRNAs in normal human serum. The digestive properties of starch are crucial in determining postprandial glycaemic excursions. Genistein, an active phytoestrogen, has the potential to influence starch digestion rates. We investigated the way genistein affected the digestive properties of starch in vitro. We performed enzyme kinetics, fluorescence spectroscopy, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations for analysing the inhibitory properties of genistein on starch digestive enzymes as well as clarifying relevant mechanism of action. Our findings demonstrated that, following the addition of 10% genistein, the contents of slowly digestible and resistant starches increased by 30.34% and 7.18%, respectively. Genistein inhibited α-amylase and α-glucosidase, with half maximal inhibitory concentrations of 0.69 ± 0.06 and 0.11 ± 0.04 mg/mL, respectively. Genistein exhibits a reversible and non-competitive inhibiting effect on α-amylase, while its inhibition on α-glucosidase is a reversible mixed manner type. Fluorescence spectroscopy indicated that the presence of genistein caused declining fluorescence intensity of the two digestive enzymes. Molecular docking and MD simulations showed that genistein binds spontaneously to α-amylase via hydrogen bonds, hydrophobic interactions, and π-stacking, whereas it binds with α-glucosidase via hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions. With economic growth and improved living standards, the incidence of metabolic diseases such as diabetes mellitus caused by over-nutrition has risen sharply worldwide. Elevated blood glucose and complications in patients seriously affect the quality of life and increase the economic burden. There are limitations and side effects of current hypoglycemic drugs, while probiotics, which are safe, economical, and effective, have good application prospects in disease prevention and remodeling of intestinal microecological health and are gradually becoming a research hotspot for diabetes prevention and treatment, capable of lowering blood glucose and alleviating complications, among other things. Probiotic supplementation is a microbiologically based approach to the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), which can achieve anti-diabetic efficacy through the regulation of different tissues and metabolic pathways. In this study, we summarize recent findings that probiotic intake can achieve blood glucose regulation by modulating intestinal flora, decreasing chronic low-grade inflammation, modulating glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), decreasing oxidative stress, ameliorating insulin resistance, and increasing short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) content. Moreover, the mechanism, application, development prospect, and challenges of probiotics regulating blood glucose were discussed to provide theoretical references and a guiding basis for the development of probiotic preparations and related functional foods regulating blood glucose. BACKGROUND: Globally, pulmonary tuberculosis is a significant public health and social problem. OBJECTIVE: We investigated the factors influencing the hospitalization cost of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and grouped cases based on a decision tree model to provide a reference for enhancing the management of diagnosis-related groups (DRGs) of this disease. METHODS: The data on the first page of the medical records of patients with the primary diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis were extracted from the designated tuberculosis hospital. The influencing factors of hospitalization cost were determined using the Wilcoxon rank sum test and multiple linear stepwise regression analysis, and the included cases were grouped using the chi-squared automated interaction test decision tree model, with these influential factors used as classification nodes. In addition, the included cases were grouped according to the ZJ-DRG grouping scheme piloted in Zhejiang Province, and the differences between the two grouping methods were compared. RESULTS: The length of hospital stay, respiratory failure, sex, and age were the determining factors of the hospitalization cost of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, and these factors were incorporated into the decision tree model to form eight case combinations. The reduction in variance (RIV) using this grouping method was 60.60%, the heterogeneity between groups was high, the coefficients of variance ranged from 0.29 to 0.47, and the intra-group difference was small. The patients were also divided into four groups based on the ZJ-DRG grouping scheme piloted in Zhejiang Province. The RIV using this grouping method was 55.24, the differences between groups were acceptable, the coefficients of variance were 1.00, 0.61, 0.77, and 0.87, respectively, and the intra-group difference was significant. CONCLUSION: When the pulmonary tuberculosis cases were grouped according to the duration of hospital stay, respiratory failure, and age, the results were rather reasonable, providing a reference for DRG management and cost control of this disease. Previous research has concentrated on psychological resilience as a holistic structure and has found that resilience positively affects college adjustment. However, it is suggested by existing literature that college students' resilience is a multidimensional construct. Furthermore, there is limited understanding regarding the categorizations of resilience among first‐year college students and its influence on their college adjustment. This study aimed to identify the profiles of first‐year college students' resilience, including individual powers and supportive powers, and explore the effects of varying resilience profiles on first‐year students' college adjustment. A valid sample of 771 first‐year college students from 28 Chinese colleges participated in this survey. The online surveys were conducted through Wenjuanxing platform. Data were analyzed using latent profile analysis to identify first‐year college students' different resilience profile and examine the relationships with college adjustment. Four groups featuring unique resilient characteristics were discovered: well‐resilient students, students with low individual power but high supportive power, students with high individual power but low supportive power, and mal‐resilient students with low individual power and low supportive power. Well‐resilient first‐year students reported the best condition of college adjustment compared to the other groups, which supports the conservation of resources (COR) theory. These results provide insight into first‐year college students' particular and heterogeneous circumstances at the beginning of the college experience. They also refined the COR theory by identifying individual‐specific relationships between psychological resilience and college adjustment. With the increasing prevalence of insomnia-related diseases, the effective treatment of insomnia has become an important health research topic. Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia Mill.) essential oil (LEO) is a commonly used medicine for the treatment of insomnia and neurological disorders. However, neither the active components nor its sedative–hypnotic mechanism have been fully discovered. This study aimed to screen the main active terpenes and discover the possible mechanism of LEO through network pharmacology in the treatment of insomnia-related diseases, as well as to verify our hypothesis in insomnia mice. The results showed that, in LEO's 15 potential active ingredients, beta-myrcene had strong sedative–hypnotic effects through the serotonergic synaptic pathway according to the network pharmacological prediction. Further, PCPA(DL-4-chlorophenylalanine)-induced insomnia mice were treated with beta-myrcene for one day or seven days. The quiet state of insomnia mice was increased effectively, and the hypnotic effect was enhanced by anaobarbital sodium by prolonging sleep duration, decreasing sleep latency, and increasing the rate of falling asleep. Beta-myrcene reduced the damage to hypothalamic neuron cells induced by PCPA and increased neurotransmitter levels of GABA, 5-HT, and Glu in the serum and hypothalamus of insomnia mice. Meanwhile, beta-myrcene exerted an improvement in insomnia by upregulating relevant genes and protein expression in the serotonergic synaptic pathway. These results support the merit of the sedative–hypnotic activity of LEO. Beta-myrcene, a terpene in LEO, may be the main source of its sedative–hypnotic properties. The mechanochromic materials can respond to environmental changes by altering the optical properties of the system, which has garnered significant attention in recently. The utilization of these materials for the purpose of sensing tensile and compressive stress has been extensively documented. However, the mechanochromic polymer that can effectively discriminate hardness of inorganic particles is still rarely reported. In this article, a force‐sensitive organic polysiloxane was developed by introducing triethenyl‐substituted rhodamine derivatives crosslinker into the polymethylhydrosiloxane network through hydrosilylation addition reaction. The results demonstrated that the grinding of the crosslinked polysiloxane effectively facilitated the transmission of external force to the polymeric network, leading to an open ring isomerization of rhodamine accompanied by significant alterations in visible and fluorescent color. In addition, we found that the optical properties of the system showed distinct variations when the inorganic particles with different Moh's hardness were co‐ground with the polysiloxane. High Moh's hardness particles, such as Al2O3, could effectively trigger the mechanochromic behavior of the polymer, while Na2SO4 particles with low hardness failed to induce the corresponding change. The heat transfer efficiency of a thermal energy storage unit (TESU) can be improved by the addition of novel longitudinal fins. A series of TESUs are analyzed using the finite volume method (FVM) to determine the effect of fin angle on the heat transfer performance. As the fin angle increases, the TES rate first increases, then decreases, reaching a maximum rate at 60°, where the melting time is less by 30.9%, 28.58%, 21.99%, 9.02%, and 18.1% than at 0°, 15°, 30°, 45°, and 80°, respectively. In addition, it is found that the melting time of the phase change material is significantly greater at the bottom of the TESU. The time percentage of this stage decreases as the fin angle increases through these percentages by 7%, 14%, 23%, 33%, and 20%, respectively. Further, the response surface methodology (RSM) is applied to optimize the longitudinal fin by minimizing the total melting time. The analysis concludes that a fin angle of 58.68° reduces the complete melting time of the stearic acid by 44% below the time at 0°. These findings fill a gap in knowledge of the effect on melting performance of the design angle of longitudinal fins and provide a reference for the design of horizontally placed longitudinal finned thermal energy storage units. Liver fibrosis is a common pathological process in the progression of several chronic liver diseases to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Therefore, the development of medications that can repress the progress of liver fibrosis is essential. We discovered that initially, 12β-(m-methyl-benzoyl)-11,12-dihydro oleanolic acid (12d-OA), a farnesoid X receptor (FXR) modulator, possessed potential anti-fibrotic properties. Through an in-depth study, we revealed that 12d-OA not only inhibited the expression of fibrogenic markers in the LX-2 cells and HSC-T6 cells but also exhibited significant protective effects against liver injury and liver fibrosis in bile duct ligation (BDL) rats. Further exploration of its molecular mechanism indicated that 12d-OA exerted antifibrotic activity by inhibiting the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK)/stress-activated protein kinase (p38) signaling pathways. Summary: In order to improve the adsorption properties and stability of porous starch, the porous starch made from ground rice starch was doubly modified by cross‐linking and esterification using sodium trimetaphosphate (STMP) as a cross‐linking agent and octenyl succinic anhydride (OSA) as an esterifying agent. Structural analysis of the samples showed that the phosphate group in STMP formed a new P‐O‐C covalent bond with the hydroxyl group in starch by substitution, OSA combined with the hydroxyl group of starch formed an ester carbonyl group, and all cross‐linking and esterification occurred in the amorphous region of starch. DSC and TG/DTG analysis showed that STMP modification performed better than OSA modification in thermal stability. However, by analysis of the oil absorption properties and freeze–thaw stability, the OSA‐modified porous starch exhibited better oil‐holding rate and freeze–thaw stability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BACKGROUND: This study explored the denaturation of 11S globulin, a protein known for its diverse functional properties in soy protein applications, at pH 3.0 and pH 10.0, followed by a gradual return to pH 7.0 to facilitate renaturation. It investigated the structural and functional changes during renaturation induced by a change in pH, revealing the stabilization mechanism of 11S globulin. RESULTS: The findings revealed that during pH adjustment to neutral, the denatured soybean 11S globulin – resulting from alkaline (pH 10.0) or acidic (pH 3.0) treatments – experienced a refolding of its extended tertiary structure to varying extents. The particle size and the proportions of α‐helix and β‐sheet in the secondary structure aligned progressively with those of the natural‐state protein. However, for the alkali‐denatured 11S, the β‐sheet content decreased upon adjustment to neutral, whereas an increase was observed for the acid‐denatured 11S. In terms of functional properties, after alkaline denaturation, the foaming capacity (FC) and emulsifying activity index (EAI) of 11S increased by 1.4 and 1.2 times, respectively, in comparison with its native state. The solubility, foamability, and emulsifiability of the alkali‐denatured 11S gradually diminished during renaturation but remained superior to those of the native state. Conversely, these properties showed an initial decline, followed by an increase during renaturation triggered by pH neutralization. This study aims to analyze the risk factors associated with delayed postoperative bleeding (DPPB) following colorectal polyp surgery, develop a dynamic nomogram and evaluate the model efficacy, provide a reference for clinicians to identify the patients at high risk of DPPB. Retrospective study was done on patients who underwent endoscopic colorectal polypectomy at the First Hospital of Lanzhou University from January 2020 to March 2023. Differences between the group with and without DPPB were compared, and independent risk factors for DPPB occurrence were identified through univariate analysis and combination LASSO and logistic regression. A dynamic nomogram was constructed based on multiple logistic regression to predict DPPB following colorectal polyp surgery. Model evaluation included receiver operating characteristic (ROC), Calibration curve, Decision curve analysis (DCA). DPPB occurred in 38 of the 1544 patients included. multivariate analysis showed that direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs), polyp location in the right hemi colon, polyp diameter, drink, and prophylactic hemoclips were the independent risk factors for DPPB and dynamic nomogram were established. Model validation indicated area under the ROC curve values of 0.936, 0.796, and 0.865 for the training set, validation set, and full set, respectively. The calibration curve demonstrated a strong alignment between the predictions of the column-line diagram model and actual observations. The decision curve analysis (DCA) displayed a significant net clinical benefit across the threshold probability range of 0–100%. The presence of social robots in children's daily environments has steadily increased. With the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), social robots have influenced children's learning and development. This study innovatively utilized the Web of Science database and conducted a bibliometric analysis of 517 publications on social robots supporting children's learning and development before September 2022. Unlike most existing reviews, this study employed a synergistic combination of two complementary visualization tools, VOSviewer and CiteSpace, to map the intellectual structure and analyze the knowledge evolution path in this emerging interdisciplinary field. Specifically, VOSviewer generated visualizations depicting collaboration networks, research hotspots, and trends based on co-occurrences. CiteSpace enabled quantitative measurements of node centrality and burstness to reveal pivotal entities and emerging topics. Combining visual mapping and quantitative analysis by VOSviewer and CiteSpace allowed comprehensive landscape mapping for an in-depth investigation into the development of this field. This study proposes future research directions, including children's perceptions of social robots, social robots enhancing children's learning, social robots supporting children's social and emotional development, and social robots for children with special needs. Natural polyamines, including spermidine (SPD), spermine (SPM) and putrescine (PUT), are evolutionarily conserved endogenous molecules crucially involved in central cellular processes. Their physiological importance may extend to the maintenance of cognitive function during aging. However, limited population-based epidemiological studies have explored the link between dietary polyamines and dementia risk. This study was a prospective analysis of 77,092 UK Biobank participants aged ≥ 60 years without dementia at baseline. We used Cox proportional hazard regression models to explore the associations between dietary polyamines and the risk of dementia, and restricted cubic splines to test the non-linear relationships. During a median follow-up of 12 years, 1087 incidents of all-cause dementia cases occurred, including 450 Alzheimer's disease (AD) cases and 206 vascular dementia (VD) cases. The fully adjusted hazard ratios (HRs) for the upper fourth quintile of dietary SPD, in comparison with the lowest quintile of intake, were 0.68 (95% confidence interval [95% CI]: 0.66–0.83) for the risk of all-cause dementia, 0.62 (95% CI: 0.45–0.85) for AD and 0.56 (95% CI: 0.36–0.88) for VD, respectively. A 26% reduction in dementia risk [HR: 0.74, (95% CI: 0.61–0.89)] and a 47% reduction in AD [HR: 0.53, (95%CI: 0.39–0.72)] were observed comparing the third with the lowest quintiles of dietary SPM. Dietary PUT was only associated with a reduced risk of all-cause dementia in the fourth quintile [HR (95% CI): 0.82 (0.68–0.99)]. Reduced risk was not found to be significant across all quintiles. There were 'U'-shaped relationships found between dietary polyamines and all-cause dementia, AD and VD. Stratification by genetic predisposition showed no significant effect modification. Optimal intake of polyamines was linked to a decreased risk of dementia, with no modification by genetic risk. This potentially suggests cognitive benefits of dietary natural polyamines in humans. This work reports the effective preparation of a bimetallic metal–organic framework CoNi-MOF@MoS2 core–shell Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst via a two-step hydrothermal method. MoS2 nanoflowers uniformly grow on the multilayer CoNi-MOF exterior. MoS2 can be added to the system to improve its specific surface area and provide enough surface active sites for photocatalysis. The resultant CoNi-MOF@MoS2 has a broad-spectrum response, which is favorable for promoting the photocatalytic process. Under visible light irradiation, CoNi-MOF@MoS2 has a high hydrogen evolution efficiency of 478.6 μmol h−1 g−1. It also activates peroxymonosulfate, and the photocatalytic degradation rate of RhB pollutants in water can be up to 99.3% within 40 min, which is several times higher than that of the CoNi-MOF. The presence of the distinctive core–shell Z-scheme heterojunction structure is responsible for efficient charge separation and the enhanced photocatalytic performance.
