As mobile applications evolve rapidly, their fast iterative update nature leads to an increase in software defects. Just-In-Time Software Defect Prediction (JIT-SDP) offers immediate feedback on code changes. For new applications without historical data, researchers have proposed Cross-Project JIT-SDP (CP JIT-SDP). Existing CP JIT-SDP approaches are designed for offline scenarios where target data is available in advance. However, target data in real-world applications usually arrives online in a streaming manner, making online CP JIT-SDP face cross-project distribution differences and target project data concept drift challenges in online scenarios. These challenges often co-exist during application development, and their interactions cause model performance to degrade. To address these issues, we propose an online CP JIT-SDP framework called COTL. Specifically, COTL consists of two stages: offline and online. In the offline stage, the cross-domain structure preserving projection algorithm is used to reduce the cross-project distribution differences. In the online stage, target data arrives sequentially over time. By reducing the differences in marginal and conditional distributions between offline and online data for target project, concept drift is mitigated and classifier weights are updated online. With the aim of achieving the combat technical requirements of super-quick (SQ) initiation and reliable self-destruction (SD) of a small-caliber projectile fuze, this paper describes a high-functional-density integrated (HFDI) inertial switch based on the "ON-OFF" state transition (i.e., almost no terminal ballistic motion). The reliable state switching of the HFDI inertial switch is studied via elastic–plastic mechanics and verified via both simulations and experiments. The theoretical and simulation results indicate that the designed switch can achieve the "OFF-ON" state transition in the internal ballistic system, and the switch can achieve the "ON-OFF" state transition in the simulated terminal ballistic system within 8 μs or complete the "ON-OFF" state transition as the rotary speed sharply decreases. The experimental results based on the anti-target method show the switch achieves the "ON-OFF" state transition on the μs scale, which is consistent with the simulation results. Compared with the switches currently used in small-caliber projectile fuzes, the HFDI inertial switch integrates more functions and reduces the height by about 44%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) achieve a milestone in cancer treatment. Despite the great success of ICI, ICI therapy still faces a big challenge due to heterogeneity of tumor, and therapeutic response is complicated by possible immune-related adverse events (irAEs). Therefore, it is critical to assess the systemic immune response elicited by ICI therapy to guide subsequent treatment regimens. Positron emission tomography (PET) molecular imaging is an optimal approach in cancer diagnosis, treatment effect evaluation, follow-up, and prognosis prediction. PET imaging can monitor metabolic changes of immunocytes and specifically identify immuno-biomarkers to reflect systemic immune responses. The 40 mm x 40 mm x 350 mm BaF2:5%Y (mole fraction) crystals were grown by vertical Bridgman method. The doping content, scintillation properties, optical properties and irradiation damage of crystal samples were studied. The Y3+ doping concentration (mole fraction) is 5. 1% ± 0. 9% within the range from 0 to 300 mm from seed end. The average light output of crystal sample is 2 100 ph / MeV, and the optimal energy resolution at 662 keV is 10. 1%. After 60Co source was used to irradiate the sample with an accumulated dose of 1 Mrad, the transmittance of the sample at 220 nm wavelength decreases from 87. 3% before irradiation to 83. 5%, the transmittance at 300 nm wavelength decreases from 91. 8% to 89. 9%. The anti-irradiation performance of BaF2:Y crystal is worse than that of BaF2 crystal. Barium fluoride (BaF2) crystal is known as the fastest scintillation crystal, which has a wide application prospect in high energy physics, nuclear physics and nuclear medicine. It is very important to suppress the slow luminescence component of BaF2 crystal for its engineering application. BaF2 crystals with high Y3+ doping concentration 5%, 8%, 10% (mole fraction) were prepared by Bridgman method, and the co-doped BaF2 fast response scintillation crystals were prepared by codoping Y3+ with alkali metal ions (Li+, Na+) to form charge compensation to eliminate the generation of interstitial F-. Then, based on the optimized 5 ns and 2 500 ns time gate width measurement methods, the effects of Y3+ doping concentration and the co-doping concentration of Y3+ and alkali metal ions (Li+, Na+) on the fast/ slow component ratio of BaF2 scintillation crystal were studied. The results show that the optical quality of the high concentration Y3+ doped BaF2 crystals is excellent, and the transmittance at 220 nm and 300 nm is higher than 90% and 92%, respectively. With the increase of Y3+ doping concentration from 0 to 10%, the slow luminescence component of BaF2 crystal decrease significantly, and the fast/ slow component ratio increase from 0.15 to 1.21. The slow luminescence component of the grown Y3+ / Li+ and Y3+ / Na+ co-doped BaF2 crystals are further decrease compared with that of the Y3+ doped BaF2 crystals, and the highest fast/ slow component ratios obtained are 1.63 and 1.61, respectively. Background: Soybean is a globally important legume crop that provides a primary source of high-quality vegetable protein and oil. Seed protein content (SPC) is a valuable quality trait controlled by multiple genes in soybean. Results: In this study, we performed quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping, QTL-seq, and RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) to reveal the genes controlling protein content in the soybean by using the high protein content variety Nanxiadou 25. A total of 50 QTL for SPC distributed on 14 chromosomes except chromosomes 4, 12, 14, 17, 18, and 19 were identified by QTL mapping using 178 recombinant inbred lines (RILs). Among these QTL, the major QTL qSPC_20–1 and qSPC_20–2 on chromosome 20 were repeatedly detected across six tested environments, corresponding to the location of the major QTL detected using whole-genome sequencing-based QTL-seq. 329 candidate DEGs were obtained within the QTL region of qSPC_20–1 and qSPC_20–2 via gene expression profile analysis. Nine of which were associated with SPC, potentially representing candidate genes. Clone sequencing results showed that different single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and indels between high and low protein genotypes in Glyma.20G088000 and Glyma.16G066600 may be the cause of changes in this trait. There is growing interest in studying the genetic contributions to longevity, but limited relevant genes have been identified. In this study, we performed a genetic association study of longevity in a total of 15,651 Chinese individuals. Novel longevity loci, BMPER (rs17169634; p = 7.91 × 10−15) and TMEM43/XPC (rs1043943; p = 3.59 × 10−8), were identified in a case–control analysis of 11,045 individuals. BRAF (rs1267601; p = 8.33 × 10−15) and BMPER (rs17169634; p = 1.45 × 10−10) were significantly associated with life expectancy in 12,664 individuals who had survival status records. Additional sex‐stratified analyses identified sex‐specific longevity genes. Notably, sex‐differential associations were identified in two linkage disequilibrium blocks in the TOMM40/APOE region, indicating potential differences during meiosis between males and females. Moreover, polygenic risk scores and Mendelian randomization analyses revealed that longevity was genetically causally correlated with reduced risks of multiple diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and arthritis. Finally, we incorporated genetic markers, disease status, and lifestyles to classify longevity or not‐longevity groups and predict life span. Our predictive models showed good performance (AUC = 0.86 for longevity classification and explained 19.8% variance of life span) and presented a greater predictive efficiency in females than in males. Gigahertz hard X-ray imaging presents an unprecedented challenge to both timing and spatial resolutions for inorganic scintillator-based front imagers. A beam test with 30-keV X-rays from the Advanced Photon Source (APS) showed that 5-mm BaF2 plates resolve well 30-keV X-ray septuplets of 27-ps width and 2.83-ns spacing. Pixelated crystal screens with a pitch down to 400~μm were fabricated by mechanic slicing for BaF2, BaF2:Y, and LYSO crystals. Their spatial resolution and detection efficiency for hard X-rays are defined by the pitch and thickness, respectively. Thicker monolithic crystal screens show poorer spatial resolution, which may be improved using a small optical aperture with a loss in both efficiency and dynamic range for hard X-rays. Panic disorder (PD) is an acute paroxysmal anxiety disorder with poorly understood pathophysiology. The dorsal periaqueductal gray (dPAG) is involved in the genesis of PD. However, the downstream neurofunctional changes of the dPAG during panic attacks have yet to be evaluated in vivo. In this study, optogenetic stimulation to the dPAG was performed to induce panic-like behaviors, and in vivo positron emission tomography (PET) imaging with 18F-flurodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) was conducted to evaluate neurofunctional changes before and after the optogenetic stimulation. Compared with the baseline, post-optogenetic stimulation PET imaging demonstrated that the glucose metabolism significantly increased (P < 0.001) in dPAG, the cuneiform nucleus, the cerebellar lobule, the cingulate cortex, the alveus of the hippocampus, the primary visual cortex, the septohypothalamic nucleus, and the retrosplenial granular cortex but significantly decreased (P < 0.001) in the basal ganglia, the frontal cortex, the forceps minor corpus callosum, the primary somatosensory cortex, the primary motor cortex, the secondary visual cortex, and the dorsal lateral geniculate nucleus. Taken together, these data indicated that in vivo PET imaging can successfully detect downstream neurofunctional changes involved in the panic attacks after optogenetic stimulation to the dPAG. The use of transgenic plants in agriculture provides many economic benefits, but it also raises concerns over the potential impact of transgenic plants on the environment. We here examined the impact of transgenic high-methionine soybean ZD91 on the arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungal community structure in rhizosphere soil. Our investigations based on clone libraries were conducted in field trials at four growth stages of the crops each year from 2012 to 2013. A total of 155 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) of AM fungi were identified based on the sequences of small subunit ribosomal RNA (SSU rRNA) genes. There were no significant differences found in AM fungal diversity in rhizosphere soil during the same growth stage between transgenic soybean ZD91 and its non-transgenic parental soybean ZD. In addition, plant growth stage and year had the strongest effect on the AM fungal community structure while the genetically modified (GM) trait studied was the least explanatory factor. In conclusion, we found no indication that transgenic soybean ZD91 cultivation poses a risk for AM fungal communities in agricultural soils. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Tuberous sclerosis complex is an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by hamartomas in multiple organ systems. Mutations in the 2 large genes TSC1 and TSC2 have been demonstrated to be associated with tuberous sclerosis complex by various mutation screening methods. Targeted next-generation sequencing for genetic analysis is performed in the current study and is proved to be less cost, labor, and time consuming compared with Sanger sequencing. Two de novo and 1 recurrent TSC2 mutation in patients with tuberous sclerosis complex were revealed. Clinical details of patients were described and the underlying mechanism of the 2 novel TSC2 mutations, c.245G>A(p.W82X) and c.5405_5408dupACTT(p.P1803Lfs*25), were discussed. These results added to variability of TSC mutation spectrum and suggest that targeted next-generation sequencing could be the primary choice over Sanger sequencing in future tuberous sclerosis complex genetic counseling. Previous studies have shown that methionine from root exudates affects the rhizosphere bacterial population involved in soil nitrogen fixation. A transgenic line of Zigongdongdou soybean cultivar (ZD91) that expresses Arabidopsis cystathionine γ-synthase resulting in an increased methionine production was examined for its influence to the rhizosphere bacterial population. Using 16S rRNA gene-based pyrosequencing analysis of the V4 region and DNA extracted from bacterial consortia collected from the rhizosphere of soybean plants grown in an agricultural field at the pod-setting stage, we characterized the populational structure of the bacterial community involved. In total, 87,267 sequences (approximately 10,908 per sample) were analyzed. We found that Acidobacteria, Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Actinobacteria, Chloroflexi, Planctomycetes, Gemmatimonadetes, Firmicutes, and Verrucomicrobia constitute the dominant taxonomic groups in either the ZD91 transgenic line or parental cultivar ZD, and that there was no statistically significant difference in the rhizosphere bacterial community structure between the two cultivars. Genetically modified (GM) crops have brought various economic benefits but may also have adversely affected soil microorganisms. To examine whether transgenic high-methionine soybean ZD91 alters the bacterial community structure in the rhizosphere, we performed a 2-year follow-up study using the transgenic high-methionine soybean cultivar ZD91 and wild type cultivar ZD. The community composition and the relative abundance of bacteria in rhizosphere soil were determined by sequencing of the 16S rRNA amplicon. Our results indicated that transgenic soybean ZD91 had no significantly effects on rhizosphere bacterial communities. Instead, the plant growth stage and year appeared to have a stronger effect on bacterial communities. Trichloroethylene induced hypersensitivity syndrome is dose-independent and potentially life threatening disease, which has become one of the serious occupational health issues and requires intensive treatment. To discover the genetic risk factors and evaluate the performance of risk prediction model for the disease, we conducted genomewide association study and replication study with total of 174 cases and 1761 trichloroethylene-tolerant controls. Fifty seven SNPs that exceeded the threshold for genome-wide significance (P < 5 × 10−8) were screened to relate with the disease, among which two independent SNPs were identified, that is rs2857281 at MICA (odds ratio, 11.92; Pmeta = 1.33 × 10−37) and rs2523557 between HLA-B and MICA (odds ratio, 7.33; Pmeta = 8.79 × 10−35). The genetic risk score with these two SNPs explains at least 20.9% of the disease variance and up to 32.5-fold variation in inter-individual risk. Combining of two SNPs as predictors for the disease would have accuracy of 80.73%, the area under receiver operator characteristic curves (AUC) scores was 0.82 with sensitivity of 74% and specificity of 85%, which was considered to have excellent discrimination for the disease, and could be considered for translational application for screening employees before exposure.
