Objectives: Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) has a cardiovascular protective effect by preventing abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) formation. However, it is unclear at what point the agent should be administered to achieve the optimal effect. In this study, we aimed to determine whether administering the GLP-1 receptor agonist liraglutide during the earlier stages would more efficiently inhibit AAA progression in mice. Methods: Depending on the group, mice were given a daily dose of 300 μg/kg liraglutide for 28 days at 7, 14, and 28 days after aneurysm induction. The morphology of the abdominal aorta was monitored using 7.0 T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) during the administration of liraglutide. After 28 days of administration, the AAA dilatation ratio was calculated, and histopathological examination was performed. Oxidative stress levels were evaluated by the expression of malondialdehyde (MDA) and matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). The inflammatory response was also evaluated. Results: Liraglutide treatment led to a decrease in AAA formation, including a reduction in abdominal aorta expansion, elastin degradation in the elastic laminae, and vascular inflammation caused by leukocyte infiltration. The expression of MDA and the activity of MMPs (MMP-2, MMP-9) also decreased. Notably, administering liraglutide during the early stages resulted in a significant reduction in the dilatation rate of the aortic wall, as well as in MDA expression, leukocyte infiltration, and MMP activity in the vascular wall. Conclusions: The GLP-1 receptor agonist liraglutide was found to inhibit AAA progression in mice by exerting anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, particularly during the early stages of AAA formation. Background: Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is a sleep-disordered breathing characterized by intermittent hypoxia (IH) that may cause cognitive dysfunction. However, the impact of IH on molecular processes involved in cognitive function remains unclear. Methods: C57BL / 6 J mice were exposed to either normoxia (control) or IH for 6 weeks. DNA hydroxymethylation was quantified by hydroxymethylated DNA immunoprecipitation (hMeDIP) sequencing. ten-eleven translocation 1 (Tet1) was knocked down by lentivirus. Specifically, cognitive function was assessed by behavioral experiments, pathological features were assessed by HE staining, the hippocampal DNA hydroxymethylation was examined by DNA dot blot and immunohistochemical staining, while the Wnt signaling pathway and its downstream effects were studied using qRT-PCR, immunofluorescence staining, and Luminex liquid suspension chip analysis. Results: IH mice showed pathological changes and cognitive dysfunction in the hippocampus. Compared with the control group, IH mice exhibited global DNA hydroxylmethylation in the hippocampus, and the expression of three hydroxylmethylases increased significantly. The Wnt signaling pathway was activated, and the mRNA and 5hmC levels of Wnt3a, Ccnd2, and Prickle2 were significantly up-regulated. Further caused downstream neurogenesis abnormalities and neuroinflammatory activation, manifested as increased expression of IBA1 (a marker of microglia), GFAP (a marker of astrocytes), and DCX (a marker of immature neurons), as well as a range of inflammatory cytokines (e.g. TNFa, IL3, IL9, and IL17A). After Tet1 knocked down, the above indicators return to normal. Conclusion: Activation of Wnt signaling pathway by hippocampal Tet1 is associated with cognitive dysfunction induced by IH. Simple Summary: The incidence of obstructive sleep apnea in children is increasing year by year, and its occurrence and related metabolic and endocrine lesions may be related to hypothalamic dysfunction. Lysine acetylation is a common post-translational modification that is essential for metabolism. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of chronic intermittent hypoxia-induced lysine acetylation on hypothalamic function in an infant mice model, simulating pediatric obstructive sleep apnoea patients. Our study revealed the lysine acetylome and proteomic profile of the hypothalamus induced by chronic intermittent hypoxia in juvenile mice. Differentially acetylated proteins were involved in endocrine metabolism, the citrate cycle (TCA cycle), synapse function, and circadian entrainment. Our findings suggest that chronic intermittent hypoxia may induce metabolic and endocrine dysregulation through modulation of hypothalamic lysine acetylation. Paediatric obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is a highly prevalent sleep disorder resulting in chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH) that has been linked to metabolism and endocrine impairment. Protein acetylation, which is a frequently occurring posttranslational modification, plays pivotal roles in the regulation of hypothalamic processes. However, the effects of CIH-induced global protein acetylation on hypothalamic function and endocrine metabolism remain poorly understood. To bridge this knowledge gap, we conducted a study utilizing liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry to analyse the lysine acetylome and proteome of the hypothalamus in healthy infantile mice exposed to 3 weeks of intermittent hypoxia (as a CIH model) compared to normoxic mice (as controls). Our analysis identified and quantified 2699 Kac sites in 2453 proteins. These acetylated proteins exhibited disruptions primarily in endocrine metabolism, the citrate cycle (TCA cycle), synapse function, and circadian entrainment. Additionally, we observed significant down-regulation of proteins that are known to be involved in endocrine hormone secretion. This study aimed to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying CIH-induced alterations in protein acetylation within the hypothalamus. By providing valuable insights into the pathophysiological processes associated with CIH and their impacts on hypothalamic function, our findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the consequences stemming from CIH-induced changes in protein acetylation within the hypothalamus as well as its potential role in endocrine impairment. Background: This study was performed to analyze the clinical effect of different concentrations of ropivacaine in the labor analgesia of the dural puncture epidural (DPE) technique for obese puerperae. Methods: One hundred and fifty first-term obese women who received vaginal delivery and required labor analgesia in our hospital were selected prospectively for this study, and divided into groups A, B, and C. The three groups of puerpera were given epidurals with different concentrations of ropivacaine (0.075%, 0.10%, and 0.125%) with sufentanil (0.5 μg/ml) for the labor analgesia regimen. The visual analog scale (VAS), Ramsay scale, and Bromage scale of puerperae before analgesia and at different time points after anesthesia, and analgesic onset time, analgesia time, first PCEA time, PCEA pressing time, ropivacaine consumption, labor time, maternal blood pressure and heart rate, maternal adverse reactions, blood gas analysis in the neonatal umbilical artery, and Apgar score were observed. Results: The analgesia onset time, PCEA pressing time, and ropivacaine consumption in group C were lower and the analgesia time and the first PCEA time were longer than those in groups A and B. At T1-T3 and T5, VAS scores of group A were higher than those in groups B and C, Ramsay score of group A was lower than that of groups B and C at T2–T3, and Bromage score of group C at any time point was higher than other two groups. The time of the second stage of labor in groups B and C was longer than that in group A, which in group C was longer than that in group B. Compared with groups A and C, the blood pressure and heart rate of puerperae in group B were closer to normal values. Three different concentrations of ropivacaine had no significant effect on the umbilical artery blood gas analysis indices and Apgar scores at 1st minute and 5th minute in neonates. The incidence of maternal adverse reactions in group C was lower than those in groups A and B. Conclusion: 0.1% ropivacaine combined with 0.5 μg/ml sufentanil through DPE technique has good analgesic efficacy and few adverse effects in obese puerperae. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Radio frequency (RF) heating has been studied to inactivate bacteria in some powder foods. In this study, a 6 kW, 27.12 MHz RF system was used to pasteurize Salmonella in black fungus (Auricularia auricula) powder. The effects of different conditions (initial aw, electrodes gaps, particle sizes) on RF heating rate and uniformity were investigated. The results showed that RF heating rate was significantly (p < 0.05) improved with decreasing electrodes gap and increasing initial aw, and the heating rate was the slowest when the particle size was 120–160 mesh. However, these factors had no significant (p > 0.05) influence on heating uniformity. RF pasteurization of Salmonella in black fungus powder was also studied. The results showed that, to inactivate Salmonella for 5 log reductions in the cold spot (the center of surface layer), the time needed and bacteria heat resistance at designated temperature (65, 75, 85 °C) decreased with increasing aw, and the first order kinetics and Weibull model could be used to fit inactivation curves of Salmonella with well goodness. Quality analysis results showed that although RF pasteurization had no significant (p > 0.05) effect on Auricularia auricula polysaccharide (AAP) and total polyphenols, obvious changes were found on color. Linear biometric measurements on magnetic resonance images are important for the assessment of fetal brain development, which is expert knowledge dependent and laborious. This study aims to construct a segmentation-based method for automatic two-dimensional biometric measurements of fetal brain on magnetic resonance images that provides a fast and accurate measurement of fetal brain. A total of 268 volumes (5360 images) magnetic resonance images of normal fetuses were included. The automatic method involves two steps. First, the fetal brain was segmented into four parts with a deep segmentation network: cerebrum, cerebellum, and left and right lateral ventricles. Second, the measurement plane was determined, and the corresponding biometric parameters were calculated according to clinical guidelines, including cerebral biparietal diameter (CBPD), transverse cerebellar diameter (TCD), left and right atrial diameter (LAD/RAD). Pearson correlation coefficient and Bland–Altman plots were used to assess the correlation and agreement between computer-predicted values and manual measurements. Mean differences were used to evaluate the errors quantitatively. Analysis of fetal cerebral growth based on the automatic measurements was also displayed. The experiment results show that correlation coefficients for CBPD, TCD, LAD and RAD were as follows: 0.977, 0.990, 0.817, 0.719, mean differences were − 2.405 mm, − 0.008 mm, − 0.33 mm, − 0.213 mm, respectively. The correlation between the errors and gestational age was not statistically significant (p values were 0.2595, 0.0510, 0.1995, and 0.0609, respectively). The proposed automatic method for linear measurements on fetal brain MRI achieves excellent performance, which is expected to be applied in clinical practice and be helpful for prenatal diagnosis and clinical work efficiency improvement. Background: High‐speed T2‐corrected multiecho MRS (HISTO‐MRS) is emerging as a quantitative modality for detecting muscle fat infiltration (MFF). However, the predictive value of HISTO‐MRS for the loss of ambulation (LoA) in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is unknown. Purpose: To determine the feasibility of HISTO‐MRS for assessing MFF in DMD and further identify the predictive value of HISTO‐MRS for the LoA. Study Type: Prospective. Subjects: A total of 134 DMD boys (9.20 ± 2.43 years old) and 21 healthy boys (9.25 ± 2.10 years old). Field Strength/Sequence: A 3 T, fast spin echo T1‐weighted imaging (T1WI), two‐point‐Dixon gradient echo sequence (2‐pt‐Dixon) and HISTO‐MRS. Assessment: Subjective T1WI fat grades by three radiologists, ROI analysis for MFF on 2 pt‐Dixon (Dixon MFF) and MFF on HISTO‐MRS (HISTO MFF) by two radiologists. Clinical motor function: North Star Ambulatory Assessment, 10‐m run/walk time, Gowers maneuver, and time to four‐stairs climb and descend. Statistical Tests: Spearman rank correlation was used to assess the relation of fat filtration assessments and motor ability. Bland–Altman plots was performed to determine the agreement of HISTO MFF and Dixon MFF. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were analyzed to determine the discriminating ability of above MRI modalities for ambulatory and nonambulatory DMD. Logistic regression was used to identify the predictor of LoA. Variables with P < 0.05 in univariate logistic regression analysis were entered into the multivariate logistic regression model. Results: HISTO MFF was significantly correlated with Dixon MFF. Bland–Altman plots show good agreement of HISTO MFF and Dixon MFF. ROC curves indicated that HISTO MFF show similar discrimination of LoA for DMD with Dixon MFF but better value than T1WI fat grades. Logistic regression showed that HISTO MFF was an independent predictor for LoA. The proper supplementation of boron, an essential trace element, can enhance animal immune function. We utilized the method of TMT peptide labeling in conjunction with LC-MS/MS quantitative proteomics for the purpose of examining the effects of boric acid on a rat model and analyzing proteins from the duodenum. In total, 5594 proteins were obtained from the 0, 10, and 320 mg/L boron treatment groups. Two hundred eighty-four proteins that exhibit differential expression were detected. Among the comparison, groups of 0 vs. 10 mg/L, 0 vs. 320 mg/L, and 10 vs. 320 mg/L of boron, 110, 32, and 179 proteins, respectively, demonstrated differential expression. The results revealed that these differential expression proteins (DEPs) mainly clustered into two profiles. GO annotations suggested that most of the DEPs played a role in the immune system process, in which 2′-5′-oligoadenylate synthetase-like, myxovirus resistance 1, myxovirus resistance 2, dynein cytoplasmic 1 intermediate chain 1, and coiled-coil domain containing 88B showed differential expression. The DEPs had demonstrated an augmentation in the signaling pathways, which primarily include phagosome, antigen processing, and presentation, as well as cell adhesion molecules (CAMs). Our study found that immune responses in the duodenum were enhanced by lower doses of boron and that this effect is likely mediated by changes in protein expression patterns in related signaling pathways. A number of goose breeds are raised commercially in China. However, the data on the slaughter performance of the goose breeds and the nutritional value of their meats lack a thorough comparative analysis. In this systematic review, the slaughter performance of the goose breeds and nutritional value of their meats were comparatively analyzed to provide an overview of the characteristics of the goose breeds raised commercially in China. Fifteen goose breeds were selected from 27 research articles published up to January 2022 on the slaughter performance of the goose breeds raised commercially in China and their nutrient composition after literature searching, literature screening, variety selection, and data collation. The slaughter indexes of the goose breeds and the basic nutrient composition, amino acid composition, and fatty acid composition of the meats of the goose breeds were standardized using min–max normalization and compared. The results suggest that the slaughter indexes and nutritional indicators of the meats of Yangzhou white goose, Xupu goose, Landaise geese, and Sichuan white goose are more balanced than those of the meats of the other goose breeds. The results of this review can lay the foundation for optimizing the breeding methods of the commercially raised goose breeds and processing methods of the meats of the geese. © 2022 Society of Chemical Industry. The development of vision bionic systems is indispensable for the perception, memory, and processing of optical signals, which promotes the exploration of efficient visual perception systems. In this work, a simple and novel two‐terminal optoelectronic memristor based on the CuAlAgCr/TiO2/W (CTW) structure is prepared, where the CuAlAgCr high‐entropy alloys are employed as the top electrode for the first time. Before annealing, the CTW optoelectronic memristor exhibited fascinating performance, including uniformly distributed operating voltage, reliable data retention, and a higher switching ratio. Moreover, the optoelectronic memristor can be reversibly switched between volatile and nonvolatile memories by adjusting compliance currents. The CTW optoelectronic memristor annealed in air exhibits various artificial synaptic functions, such as short‐term memory, optical learning, and forgetting behavior under the illumination of the laser. The photo‐response current is increased from nano‐ampere to micro‐ampere level. Furthermore, a logic function unit based on CTW optoelectronic memristor is proposed, which realizes "AND" operation. Furthermore, first‐principles calculations of the CTW structure are performed to describe the influence of photocarriers on the barrier height at the CuAlAgCr‐TiO2 interface, revealing the working mechanism of the CTW optoelectronic memristor. The optimum conditions of radio frequency explosion puffing (RFEP) of yam-wheat-cornstarch snacks were explored. The impact of electrode gap (180–190 mm), sample thickness (1–4 mm), and sample height (10–40 mm), on the heating rate and heating uniformity, was evaluated. The process parameters (puffing temperature: 60–100 °C; puffing pressure difference: 0.08–0.28 MPa; residence time: 5–25 min) for the production of snacks were optimized by using quadratic-orthogonal-rotation combination design (QORCD) and response surface methodology (RSM). The quality of snacks was evaluated in terms of crispness, hardness, color difference ΔE, and moisture content. The best quality snacks were obtained with optimized conditions of electrode gap of 185 mm, geometry of 50 × 2 × 20 (length × thickness × height) mm, puffing temperature of 81 °C, puffing pressure difference of 0.17 MPa, and residence time of 16 min. The product qualities reached experimentally under the optimized conditions were 14 of crispness, 3117.36 g of hardness, 7.96 of color difference ΔE, and 12.88% (w. b.) of moisture content. A novel composite was fabricated by hybridizing terbium 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic MOF (TB-MOF) with Cx[6]. As an essential trace element, appropriate boron supplementation can promote immune function of animals. To illustrate the effects of boron in a rat model, RNA-Seq was conducted for the RNA from duodenum after treatment with different concentration of boron in which boron was given in the form of boric acid. More than 47 million reads were obtained in 0, 10, and 320 mg/L boron (0, 57.21, and 1830.66 mg/L boric acid) treatment groups that produced 58 965 402, 48 607 328, and 46 760 660 clean reads, respectively. More than 95% of the clean reads were successfully matched to the rat reference genome and assembled to generate 32 662 transcripts. A total of 624 and 391 differentially expressed candidate genes (DEGs) were found between 0 vs.10 and 0 vs. 320 mg/L boron comparison groups. We also identified transcription start site, transcription terminal site, and skipped exons as the main alternative splicing events. GO annotations revealed most of DEGs were involved in the regulation of immune activity. The DEGs were enriched in influenza A, herpes simplex infection, cytosolic DNA-sensing pathway, and antigen processing and presentation signaling pathways. The expression levels of genes enriched in these signaling pathways indicate that lower doses of boron could achieve better effects on promoting immune response in the duodenum. These effects on the immune system appear to be mediated via altering the expression patterns of genes involved in the related signaling pathways in a dose-dependent pattern. GaN-based μLEDs with superior properties have enabled outstanding achievements in emerging micro-display, high-quality illumination, and communication applications, especially white-light visible light communication (WL-VLC). WL-VLC systems can simultaneously provide white-light solid-state lighting (SSL) while realizing high-speed wireless optical communication. However, the bandwidth of conventional white-light LEDs is limited by the long-lifetime yellow yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) phosphor, which restricts the available communication performance. In this paper, white-light GaN-μLEDs combining blue InGaN-μLEDs with green/red perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) are proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Green PQDs (G-PQDs) and red PQDs (R-PQDs) with narrow emission spectrum and short fluorescence lifetime as color converters instead of the conventional slow-response YAG phosphor are mixed with high-bandwidth blue InGaN-μLEDs to generate white light. The communication and illumination performances of the WL-VLC system based on the white-light GaN-based μLEDs are systematically investigated. The VLC properties of monochromatic light (green/red) from G-PQDs or R-PQDs are studied in order to optimize the performance of the white light. The modulation bandwidths of blue InGaN-μLEDs, G-PQDs, and R-PQDs are up to 162 MHz, 64 MHz, and 90 MHz respectively. Furthermore, the white-light bandwidth of 57.5 MHz and the Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage (CIE) of (0.3327, 0.3114) for the WL-VLC system are achieved successfully. These results demonstrate the great potential and the direction of the white-light GaN-μLEDs with PQDs as color converters to be applied for VLC and SSL simultaneously. Catalytic hydrodesulfurization (HDS) technique is widely used for clean gasoline production. However, traditional HDS catalyst (CoMo/γ-Al2O3) exhibits high hydrogenation performance of olefins (HYDO), resulting in the loss of gasoline octane number. To achieve high HDS/HYDO ratio, the key issue is to reduce the interaction between active metals and the support, therefore, in this research, the modified CoMo/γ-Al2O3 catalysts with various boron amounts were investigated under traditional or microwave heating. The effects of preparing methods as well as boron amounts on the active phase, acidic properties and HDS catalytic activities were examined. Results show that the modification, especially under microwave treatment, can significantly weaken the interaction between the active component and the support by enlarging the surface area and pore diameter, and reducing the acidity of the support. As a result, the stacking numbers of MoS2 slabs were obviously improved by the modification and microwave treatment, contributing to higher edge/ rim ratio, and resulting in higher HDS performance and selectivity to olefin. Background: Placenta previa and accreta are serious obstetric conditions that are associated with a high risk of intraoperative massive hemorrhage, the prophylactic intravascular balloon occlusion technique is increasingly used in managing uncontrolled hemorrhage in cesarean section (CS). We aim to examine the clinical effectiveness of prophylactic balloon occlusion of the internal iliac artery (PBOIIA) during CS in improving maternal outcomes for patients with placenta previa and accreta.Methods: A total of 420 women with placenta previa and accreta who underwent CS from January 2014 to December 2018 were included retrospectively. Patients were divided into balloon group in which patients had PBOIIA (n = 248) and the control group in which patients did not have PBOIIA (n = 172). Meanwhile, we performed a subgroup analysis in whether taking parallel transverse uterine incision (PTUI) surgery. Information on conditions of patients and newborns, perioperative blood indicators, surgical outcomes were collected.Results: Median estimated blood loss (mEBL) was 2200 mL in the balloon group and 2150 mL in the control group respectively, there was no significant difference between two-groups comparison (P > 0.05), and the rate of patients with hysterectomy was also has no difference between the two groups (36.3% verus 35.5%, P > 0.05), while there is a significant difference between two groups in the amount of PRBCs transfused [3 (0-31.5) verus 3 (0-39), P <0.05], moreover, the proportion of PRBCS> 8 units in the balloon group is significantly lower than that in control group (11.29% verus 23.26%, P <0.05).. However, the total hospitalization costs (45,624.4 ± 11,061.9 verus 37,523.1 ± 14,662.2, CYN) and surgery costs (19,910.6 ± 2622.6 verus 11,850.5 ± 3146.1, CYN) in balloon group were significantly higher than those in control group (P < 0.05). Subgroup analysis showed PTUI surgery had no significant differences in EBL (P >0.05), but it could significantly decrease hysterectomy rates (P <0.05).Conclusions: PBOIIA has no significant effect on reducing intraoperative EBL and hysterectomy rate in patients with placenta previa and accreta. and although it could reduce the intraoperative PRBCs in patients with massive hemorrhage, it significantly increases the financial cost for patients. Although innovation can be a critical source of competitive advantage, research has found that debt can erode management's willingness to invest in R&D. In this article, we employ a stakeholder bargaining power perspective to argue that this effect is most pronounced when the firm's bonds are concentrated in the hands of bond blockholders. Furthermore, we contend that the temporal orientation of bondholders influences this relationship. Specifically, while it is commonly assumed that bondholders have a limited temporal orientation that induces them to focus on short-term value appropriation, we argue that some bond blockholders adopt a long-term temporal orientation. This orientation, in turn, makes them more inclined to support long-term value creation for the firm in the form of enhanced investments in R&D. Moreover, while agency theory suggests that there is an inherent conflict of interest between shareholders and bondholders, our results suggest that the temporal orientation of investors (i.e., both shareholders and bondholders) matters much more than whether they invested in the firm's equity or its debt. This paper examines whether one of the most important participants in the takeover market, the institutional investors of target companies, suffers from the disposition effect and, if so, how this selling bias influences the takeover outcomes. I report robust evidence that target institutional investors are reluctant to realize losses. This bias further allows their sunk cost to affect both the takeover price and the deal success. My results are explained by neither the undervalued targets nor the 52-week-high price effect. Medical staff in radiology departments faces a higher risk of infection and a heavier workload during the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak. High perceived stress levels endanger physical and mental health and affect work efficiency and patient safety. Therefore, it is urgent to understand the perceived stress levels of medical staff and explore its risk factors. We recruited 600 medical staff from the radiology departments of 32 public hospitals in Sichuan Province, China, to evaluate perceived stress scores via a mobile app-based questionnaire. The results showed that the perceived stress level among medical staff in the radiology departments during the COVID-19 outbreak was high and a sense of tension was strongly present. A positive correlation was found between anxiety score and perceived stress. Multivariate analysis showed that risk factors for perceived stress were female, existing anxiety, and fears of being infected at work, an uncontrollable outbreak, and not being able to pay rent or mortgage. Conversely, good knowledge about COVID-19, being unmarried, and working in a higher-grade hospital were protective factors for perceived stress. Therefore, more attention should be given to medical staff in the radiology departments that present the risk factors outlined above. Timely risk assessment of psychological stress and effective intervention measures should be taken for these high-risk groups to keep their perceived stress within normal limits. Coarse-Grained Reconfigurable Architectures (CGRA) is a promising solution for accelerating computation intensive tasks due to its good trade-off in energy efficiency and flexibility. One of the challenging research topic is how to effectively deploy loops onto CGRAs within acceptable compilation time. Modulo scheduling (MS) has shown to be efficient on deploying loops onto CGRAs. Existing CGRA MS algorithms still suffer from the challenge of mapping loop with higher performance under acceptable compilation time, especially mapping large and irregular loops onto CGRAs with limited computational and routing resources. This is mainly due to the under utilization of the available buffer resources on CGRA, unawareness of critical mapping constraints and time consuming method of solving temporal and spatial mapping. This article focus on improving the performance and compilation robustness of the modulo scheduling mapping algorithm for CGRAs. We decomposes the CGRA MS problem into the temporal and spatial mapping problem and reorganize the processes inside these two problems. For the temporal mapping problem, we provide a comprehensive and systematic mapping flow that includes a powerful buffer allocation algorithm, and efficient interconnection & computational constraints solving algorithms. For the spatial mapping problem, we develop a fast and stable spatial mapping algorithm with backtracking and reordering mechanism. Our MS mapping algorithm is able to map loops onto CGRA with higher performance and faster compilation time. Experiment results show that given the same compilation time budget, our mapping algorithm generates higher compilation success rate. Among the successfully compiled loops, our approach can improve 5.4 to 14.2 percent performance and takes x24 to x1099 less compilation time in average comparing with state-of-the-art CGRA mapping algorithms. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of intramuscular fat (IMF) on carcass traits of Chaohu ducks. Two-hundred-forty ducks were separated by sex and raised in separate pens. Slaughter performance, meat quality, and serum lipid parameters were identified. Based on IMF, samples were divided into males with high IMF (CHM) or low IMF (CLM) and females with high IMF (CHF) or low IMF (CLF). There were significant differences in the living body weight, abdominal fat ratio (%), shear force, IMF, total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) content between female and male ducks. In addition, compared with the CLM group, the shear force (p = 0.001) was significantly greater but the lightness (p = 0.006) was lower in the CHM group. TC, HDL and LDL content were also significantly higher (p = 0.033, 0.027 and 0.012, respectively) in the CHM group. The butcher ratio (0.028), eviscerating rate (0.039) and breast meat ratio (0.028) in the CHF group was significantly lower than that in CLF group, while these parameters showed no difference between CHM and CLM. In conclusion, IMF had a significantly positive correlation with subcutaneous fat and abdominal fat and was also positively correlated with TC, HDL and LDL in Chaohu ducks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Placenta previa and accreta are serious obstetric conditions that are associated with a high risk of intraoperative massive hemorrhage.Purpose: To develop a scoring system for intraoperative massive hemorrhage combining MRI and clinical characteristics to predict the risk of massive hemorrhage in placenta previa and accreta STUDY TYPE: Retrospective cohort study.Subjects: In all, 374 patients consisting of 259 patients with placenta previa and accreta after previous cesarean section (CS) for the derivation cohort and 115 patients for the validation cohort.Field Strength/sequence: 1.5T single-shot fast spin-echo sequence. Finally, the scoring system was validated on 115 patients.Statistical Tests: Student's t-test, Mann-Whitney U-test, X 2 statistics, multivariable analysis, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis.Results: Ten indicators, including clinically maternal age (1 point), preoperative hemoglobin level (1 point), gravidity number (1 point), number of CS (1 point), and MRI T2 dark intraplacental bands (4 points), cervical canal length (3 points), placenta thickness on the uterine scar area (4 points), empty vascular shadow of the uterus (1 point), low signal discontinuity in the muscular layer of the posterior wall of the bladder (6 points) and attachment position of the placenta (1 point) were imputed. From the ROC analysis, a total score of 7 points was identified as the optimal cutoff value, allowing good differentiation of intraoperative massive bleeding in the derivation cohort (AUC, 0.863; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.811-0.916) and in the validation cohort (AUC, 0.933; 95% CI: 0.885-0.980).Data Conclusion: The scoring system for intraoperative massive hemorrhage consists of MRI and clinical indicators, and using a cutoff value of 7 points for a high risk of massive bleeding, the developed scoring system could accurately assess the risk of intraoperative massive hemorrhage in patients with placenta previa and accreta. Litter size is one of the most important economic traits in pig production. Recent studies identified that deoxynivalenol (DON), a widespread toxin in fodder, was associated with animal prolificacy. However, the underlying mechanisms have not yet been completely elucidated. Here, we used porcine ovary granulosa cells (pGCs) as a vector to establish DON concentration–time models and performed cell morphology and transcriptome analysis to identify and analyse the effects of DON on reproductive performance in swine. The results showed that DON can induce morphological changes and apoptosis of pGCs, while inhibiting cell proliferation. Moreover, these effects of DON on pGCs were dose‐dependent. After treatment of pGCs with different concentrations of DON, the percentage of cells in S phase and G2/M phase increased. RNA‐seq analyses revealed 5,937 differentially expressed genes, of which 1995 were down‐regulated and 3,942 were up‐regulated after DON treatment. KEGG enrichment analysis indicated important metabolic pathways such as IL‐17 signalling pathway, eukaryotic ribosome synthesis pathway, RNA transport pathway and RNA degradation. Based on our results, we speculate that the effects of DON are related to the DNA damage process. Hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of thiophene, as a gasoline model oil, over an industrial Ni-Mo/Al2O3 catalyst was investigated in a continuous system under microwave irradiation. The HDS efficiency was much higher (5%–14%) under microwave irradiation than conventional heating. It was proved that the reaction was enhanced by both microwave thermal and non-thermal effects. Microwave selective heating caused hot spots inside the catalyst, thus improved the reaction rate. From the analysis of the non-thermal effect, the molecular collisions were significantly increased under microwave irradiation. However, instead of being reduced, the apparent activation energy increased. This may be due to the microwave treatment hindering the adsorption though upright S-bind (η1) and enhancing the parallel adsorption (η5), both adsorptions were considered to favor to the direct desulfurization route and the hydrogenation route respectively. This study uses Cremers and Petajisto’s (2009) method to separate active institutional investors from passive ones and shows that active investors can alleviate the anomalous comovement of stock returns. Focusing on 2 events linked to the excess comovement anomaly, Standard & Poor’s 500 Index additions and stock splits, I find that if an event stock has more active institutional investors trading in the post-event period, the anomalous comovement effect disappears. In contrast, if an event stock experiences a massive exit of active investors, this anomaly persists. The exit of active institutional investors also results in a strong price synchronicity effect. Broodiness, one of the maternal behaviors and instincts for natural breeding in birds, is an interesting topic in reproductive biology. Broodiness in poultry is characterized by persistent nesting, usually associated with cessation of egg laying. The study of avian broodiness is essential for bird conservation breeding and commercial poultry industry. In this study, we examined the hypothalamus transcriptome of Muscovy duck in three reproductive stages, including egg-laying anaphase (LA), brooding prophase (BP) and brooding metaphase (BM). Differences in gene expression during the transition from egg-laying to broodiness were examined, and 155, 379, 292 differently expressed genes (DEGs) were obtained by pairwise comparisons of LA-vs-BP, LA-vs-BM and BP-vs-BM, respectively (fold change≥1.5, P < 0.05). Gene Ontology Term (GO) enrichment analysis suggested a possible role of oxidative stress in the hypothalamus might invoke reproductive costs that potentially change genes expression. KEGG analysis revealed glutamatergic synapse, dopaminergic synapse, serotonergic synapse and GABAergic synapse pathway were significantly enriched, and regulator genes were identified. Eight gene expression patterns were illustrated by trend analysis and further clustered into three clusters. Additional six hub genes were identified through combining trend analysis and protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis. Our results suggested that the cyclical mechanisms of reproductive function conversion include effects of oxidative stress, biosynthesis of neurotransmitters or their receptors, and interactions between glucocorticoids and thyroid hormones and regulatory genes. This study aimed to investigate the probiotic potential of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) strains isolated from De'ang pickled tea, a traditional food consumed by the De'ang nationality of Yunnan, China. Twenty-six LAB strains isolated from De'ang pickled tea were subjected to identification based on 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. Twenty-four belonged to Lactobacillus plantarum, one belonged to Enterococcus casseliflavus, and one belonged to Lactobacillus acidophilus. Eighteen out of 26 LAB strains which showed a higher capability to tolerate simulated gastrointestinal juices were chosen to further evaluate their probiotic properties. Varied adhesive abilities and auto-aggregative capacities of selected LAB strains were dependent on species and even strains. All tested LAB strains were resistant to kanamycin, streptomycin, gentamycin, and vancomycin and sensitive to tetracycline and chloramphenicol. Ten out of the 18 strains are resistant to ampicillin, and the remaining strains are sensitive to ampicillin; 4 out of the 18 strains showed resistance to erythromycin. Compared to reference strain Lactobacillus rhamnosus strain GG, these LAB strains had a greater or comparative antimicrobial activity against Salmonella typhimurium or Escherichia coli. In contrast, eight out of the 18 strains suppressed growth of Shigella flexneri. Two L. plantarum strains, ST and STDA10, not only exhibited good probiotic properties but also showed a good ability of scavenging DPPH and ABTS+. Abstract: Normal estrous cycle is crucial for porcine reproduction, and microRNA is closely related to regulation of estrous cycle in porcine ovaries. In this study, we found that the expression of miR‐214 in porcine ovaries was higher than in many other tissues, and miR‐21 expression in ovaries was significantly higher than in the uterus and pituitary. Meanwhile, miR‐21 was upregulated and miR‐214 was downregulated in the ovaries of high litter size (YH) pigs compared with low litter size (YL) pigs. Moreover, the lowest expression of miR‐21 and miR‐214 occurred on Days 14 and 7 of the estrous cycle and was expressed at greater levels in the granulosa cells of subordinate follicles than in dominant follicles on Day 3 of the estrous cycle. Bioinformatics analysis showed that miR‐21 and miR‐214 might target several genes that involved in the mTOR signaling, apoptosis, and steroid biosynthesis pathways, and they play important roles in maintaining the porcine estrous cycle. The qPCR and western blot analysis indicated that miR‐214 inhibited the expression of SCARB1 gene in the transcriptional level, but not affected the SCARB1 gene's protein level. This study compares the performances of privatized banks from 43 countries during 1992-2007 by using two matching theories, Nearest-Neighbor Matching and Mahalanobis Metric Matching. The evidence demonstrates the following: first, the privatized banks outperform non-privatized banks in terms of return on equity, net interest margin and non-performance loan but are tied in terms of return on asset; second, in most cases, full privatization is more effective than partial privatization in improving bank performance; third, the results demonstrate that privatization through asset sales yield a better performance. Litter size is one of the most important economic traits for pig production as it is directly related to the production efficiency. Litter size is affected by interactions between multiple genes and the environment. While recent studies have identified some genes associated with prolificacy in pigs, transcriptomic studies of specific genes affecting litter size in porcine ovaries are rare. In order to identify candidate genes associated with litter size in swine, we assessed gene expression differences between the ovaries of Yorkshire pigs with extremely high and low litter sizes using the RNA-Seq method. A total of 1 243 differentially expressed genes were identified: 897 genes were upregulated and 346 genes were downregulated in high litter size ovary samples compared with low litter size ovary samples. A large number of these genes related to steroid hormone regulation in animal ovaries, including 59 Gene Ontology terms and 27 Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathways involved in steroid biosynthesis and ovarian steroidogenesis. From these differentially expressed genes, we identified a total of 11 genes using a bioinformatics screen that may be associated with high litter size in Yorkshire pigs. This paper introduces a 3-D strain imaging method based on a freehand linear scanning mode. We designed a linear sliding track with a position sensor and a height-adjustable holder to constrain the movement of an ultrasound probe in a freehand manner. When moving the probe along the sliding track, the corresponding positional measures for the probe are transmitted via a wireless communication module based on Bluetooth in real time. In a single examination, the probe is scanned in two sweeps in which the height of the probe is adjusted by the holder to collect the pre- and postcompression radio-frequency echoes, respectively. To generate a 3-D strain image, a volume cubic in which the voxels denote relative strains for tissues is defined according to the range of the two sweeps. With respect to the post-compression frames, several slices in the volume are determined and the pre-compression frames are re-sampled to precisely correspond to the post-compression frames. Thereby, a strain estimation method based on minimizing a cost function using dynamic programming is used to obtain the 2-D strain image for each pair of frames from the re-sampled pre-compression sweep and the post-compression sweep, respectively. A software system is developed for volume reconstruction, visualization, and measurement of the 3-D strain images. The experimental results show that high-quality 3-D strain images of phantom and human tissues can be generated by the proposed method, indicating that the proposed system can be applied for real clinical applications (e.g., musculoskeletal assessments). GaN-based μLEDs with superior properties have enabled outstanding achievements in emerging micro-display, high-quality illumination, and communication applications, especially white-light visible light communication (WL-VLC). WL-VLC systems can simultaneously provide white-light solid-state lighting (SSL) while realizing high-speed wireless optical communication. However, the bandwidth of conventional white-light LEDs is limited by the long-lifetime yellow yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) phosphor, which restricts the available communication performance. In this paper, white-light GaN-μLEDs combining blue InGaN-μLEDs with green/red perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) are proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Green PQDs (G-PQDs) and red PQDs (R-PQDs) with narrow emission spectrum and short fluorescence lifetime as color converters instead of the conventional slow-response YAG phosphor are mixed with high-bandwidth blue InGaN-μLEDs to generate white light. The communication and illumination performances of the WL-VLC system based on the white-light GaN-based μLEDs are systematically investigated. The VLC properties of monochromatic light (green/red) from G-PQDs or R-PQDs are studied in order to optimize the performance of the white light. The modulation bandwidths of blue InGaN-μLEDs, G-PQDs, and R-PQDs are up to 162 MHz, 64 MHz, and 90 MHz respectively. Furthermore, the white-light bandwidth of 57.5 MHz and the Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage (CIE) of (0.3327, 0.3114) for the WL-VLC system are achieved successfully. These results demonstrate the great potential and the direction of the white-light GaN-μLEDs with PQDs as color converters to be applied for VLC and SSL simultaneously. Promptly and accurately dealing with the equipment breakdown is very important in terms of enhancing reliability and decreasing downtime. A novel fault diagnosis method PSO-RVM based on relevance vector machines (RVM) with particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm for plunger pump in truck crane is proposed. The particle swarm optimization algorithm is utilized to determine the kernel width parameter of the kernel function in RVM, and the five two-class RVMs with binary tree architecture are trained to recognize the condition of mechanism. The proposed method is employed in the diagnosis of plunger pump in truck crane. The six states, including normal state, bearing inner race fault, bearing roller fault, plunger wear fault, thrust plate wear fault, and swash plate wear fault, are used to test the classification performance of the proposed PSO-RVM model, which compared with the classical models, such as back-propagation artificial neural network (BP-ANN), ant colony optimization artificial neural network (ANT-ANN), RVM, and support vectors, machines with particle swarm optimization (PSO-SVM), respectively. The experimental results show that the PSO-RVM is superior to the first three classical models, and has a comparative performance to the PSO-SVM, the corresponding diagnostic accuracy achieving as high as 99.17% and 99.58%, respectively. But the number of relevance vectors is far fewer than that of support vector, and the former is about 1/12-1/3 of the latter, which indicates that the proposed PSO-RVM model is more suitable for applications that require low complexity and real-time monitoring. Equity ownership by public pension funds (PPFs) is widely used in the literature (see, e.g., Cremers and Nair ; Dittmar and Mahrt-Smith ) as a measure of the strength of shareholder monitoring/governance. This paper raises caution on such practices by illustrating an inverted- U shape relationship between PPF ownership and firms' future performance, measured by stock returns and operating performance: during 1985-2005, future performance first increases, then declines in aggregate equity ownership by PPFs. Our results suggest that PPFs' presence is consistent with shareholder value maximization when they have moderate influence on firm management, whereas excessive PPF ownership may facilitate PPF managers' pursuits of political interests and destroy shareholder value. Modulo-scheduled coarse-grained reconfigurable array (CGRA) processors have shown their potential for exploiting loop-level parallelism at high energy efficiency. However, these CGRAs need frequent reconfiguration during their execution, which makes them suffer from large area and power overhead for context memory and context-fetching. To tackle this challenge, this paper uses an architecture/compiler co-designed method for context reduction. From an architecture perspective, we carefully partition the context into several subsections and only fetch the subsections that are different to the former context word whenever fetching the new context. We package each different subsection with an opcode and index value to formulate a context-fetching primitive (CFP) and explore the hardware design space by providing the centralized and distributed CFP-fetching CGRA to support this CFP-based context-fetching scheme. From the software side, we develop a similarity-aware tuning algorithm and integrate it into state-of-the-art modulo scheduling and memory access conflict optimization algorithms. The whole compilation flow can efficiently improve the similarities between contexts in each PE for the purpose of reducing both context-fetching latency and context footprint. Experimental results show that our HW/SW co-designed framework can improve the area efficiency and energy efficiency to at most 34% and 21% higher with only 2% performance overhead. The incidence of obesity and colorectal cancer (CRC) has risen rapidly in recent decades. More than 650 million obese and 2 billion overweight individuals are currently living in the world. CRC is the third most common cancer. Obesity is regarded as one of the key environmental risk factors for the pathogenesis of CRC. In the present review, we mainly focus on the epidemiology of obesity and CRC in the world, the United States, and China. We also summarize the molecular mechanisms linking obesity to CRC in different aspects, including nutriology, adipokines and hormones, inflammation, gut microbiota, and bile acids. The unmet medical needs for obesity-related CRC are still remarkable. This paper presents two new models for solving image the deblurring problem in the presence of impulse noise. One involves a high-order total variation (TV) regularizer term in the corrected total variation L1 (CTVL1) model and is named high-order corrected TVL1 (HOCTVL1). This new model can not only suppress the defects of the staircase effect, but also improve the quality of image restoration. In most cases, the regularization parameter in the model is a fixed value, which may influence processing results. Aiming at this problem, the spatially adapted regularization parameter selection scheme is involved in HOCTVL1 model, and spatially adapted HOCTVL1 (SAHOCTVL1) model is proposed. When dealing with corrupted images, the regularization parameter in SAHOCTVL1 model can be updated automatically. Many numerical experiments are conducted in this paper and the results show that the two models can significantly improve the effects both in visual quality and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at the expense of a small increase in computational time.
