Simple synthesis and high performance are eternal pursuit for polymers. To lower the curing temperature, lower the melt viscosity and improve the processability of high performance phthalonitrile resins, a solvent‐free method was applied to synthesize three from different phenols. Their chemical structure was confirmed by FTIR and NMR spectra, the curing behavior was investigated by DSC and rheology. It was found that the polymerization of phthalonitrile groups could be effectively promoted by benzoxazine moieties and the curing temperature of phthalonitrile groups dropped to around 240°C. Consequently, owing to the high curing reactivity, polymers obtained at relatively low curing temperature possessed high crosslinking density and extremely high thermal stability. P‐apn‐200, which was cured at 200°C, showed 5 wt% weightloss temperature (Td5) of 472°C and char yield (Yc) of 75.77% at 800°C. Moreover, the polymers obtained after curing at 280°C showed superior dimensional stability, CN‐apn‐280 showed extremely low linear expansion coefficient (CTE) of 10.7 ppm/°C. And mP‐apn‐280 showed HR capacity of 3.99 J/g‧K, peak HRR of 4.0 W/K and total HR of 0.8 kJ/g. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objectives: This study aimed to explore the relationship between circulating metabolites and postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMOP) and to assess the mediating role of inflammatory factors. Methods: Utilizing summary-level data from genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and employing a Mendelian Randomization approach, a two-sample MR analysis was conducted to assess the relationship between circulating metabolites and PMOP. Additionally, a two-step MR was used to quantify the mediating impact of inflammatory factors on the effect of circulating metabolites on PMOP. Results: The results revealed a significant association between certain metabolites and the risk of PMOP, notably the ratio of free cholesterol to total lipids in very large VLDL particles (OR: 1.399, 95% CI: 1.002-1.954, p = 0.048) and IL-16 (OR: 0.773, 95% CI: 0.608-0.983, p = 0.036). IL-16 was found to partially mediate the impact of circulating metabolites on PMOP, with a mediation effect of 10.4%. Conclusion: This study underscores the crucial role of circulating metabolites and inflammatory factors in PMOP pathogenesis. A causal relationship between circulating metabolites and PMOP was established, with IL-16 mediating some effects. This study aims to improve the detection of dental burs, which are often undetected due to their minuscule size, slender profile, and substantial manufacturing output. The present study introduces You Only Look Once-Dental bur (YOLO-DB), an innovative deep learning-driven methodology for the accurate detection and counting of dental burs. A Lightweight Asymmetric Dual Convolution module (LADC) was devised to diminish the detrimental effects of extraneous features on the model's precision, thereby enhancing the feature extraction network. Moreover, to augment the efficiency of feature integration and diminish computational demands, a novel fusion network combining SlimNeck with BiFPN-Concat was introduced, effectively merging superficial spatial details with profound semantic features. A specialized platform was developed for the detection and counting of dental burs, and rigorous experimental assessments were performed. Promising results were achieved. YOLO-DB yielded a Mean Average Precision (mAP@0.5) of 99.3% on the dental bur dataset, with a notable 3.2% increase in mAP@0.5:0.95 and a sustained detection pace of 128 frames per second. The model also achieved a 14.4% reduction in parameter volume and a 17.9% decrease in computational expenditure, while achieving a flawless counting accuracy of 100%. Our approach outperforms current detection algorithms in terms of detection capability and efficiency, presenting a new method for the precise detection and counting of elongated objects such as dental burs. Introduction: Gut microbiota (GM) has been implicated in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), yet longitudinal changes across trimesters remain insufficiently explored. Methods: This nested cohort study aimed to investigate GM alterations before 24 weeks of gestation and their association with GDM. Ninety-three Chinese participants provided fecal samples during the first and second trimesters. Based on oral glucose tolerance tests, 11 participants were classified as GDM, and 82 as non-diabetic (ND). Using 16S rRNA sequencing, we analyzed both cross-sectional and longitudinal differences in GM structure between those two groups. Results: In the first trimester, GDM group exhibited lower levels of Bacteroides_H and Acetatifactor compared to ND group (p < 0.05). In the second trimester, GDM individuals showed increased abundance of Fusobacteriota and Firmicutes_D , and genera including Fusobacterium_A and Fournierella , while Anaerotruncus and others decreased (P< 0.05). Inflammation-associated genera like Gemmiger_A_73129 and Enterocloster increased, while Megamonas decreased in overweight or obese GDM women, which was not identified in normal-weight women. The ratios of relative abundance of genera Streptococcus , Enterocloster , and Collinsella exceeded 1.5 in the GDM group, particularly in overweight or obese individuals. Inflammatory pathways related to African trypanosomiasis and Staphylococcus aureus infection were predicted to be up-regulated in overweight or obese GDM individuals but not in normal-weight GDM women. Discussion: This study suggests that GM of women with GDM undergoes significant alterations between the first and second trimesters, potentially linked to inflammation, with more pronounced changes observed in overweight or obese individuals. In this study, graphite tailings produced in Luobei County, Heilongjiang Province, were used as a sustainable aggregate to replace river sand (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) in UHPC for the preparation of ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). The experimental results showed that the incorporation of 75% graphite tailings caused a significant increase in the wet bulk density of UHPC mortar. The workability of UHPC decreased monotonically with the increase in graphite tailing substitution rate, and wet bulk density decreased by 28.42% with 100% graphite tailings (compared with no graphite tailings). The incorporation of 75% graphite tailings helped to improve the compressive and flexural strengths as well as the durability of UHPC. Compared with the UHPC without graphite tailings, the 28 d compressive and flexural strengths increased by 8.82% and 7.28%, respectively, and the chloride ion electrical flux decreased by 19.49%. XRD and thermogravimetric analysis data indicate that the incorporation of graphite tailings did not change the type of hydration and that the incorporation of graphite tailings helped to increase the degree of hydration within the UHPC matrix. MIP and SEM showed that 75% graphite tailings helped to reduce the porosity and the number of harmful pores inside the matrix. Primary patellar dislocation has a certain recurrence rate after either conservative or surgical treatment, and the optimal treatment for patients with primary patellar dislocation of different ages remains unclear. This study aims to compare the clinical efficacy of surgical and conservative treatments for primary patellar dislocation across different age groups. According to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta‐analyses (PRISMA) checklist, we conducted a systematic search for randomized controlled trials. We searched the PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases for randomized controlled trials of primary patellar dislocation treated surgically or conservatively up to January 2023. Data searching, extraction, analysis, and quality assessment were carried out in accordance with the Cochrane Collaboration guidelines. A total of nine studies with 433 patients were included in our study. There was no statistically significant difference between the two treatment modalities in terms of Kujala score, pain score, patient satisfaction, reoperation, and Tegner score. The rate of re‐dislocation after surgical treatment is lower than that after conservative treatment. Subgroup analysis based on mean age showed that when the age was >20 years, Kujala scores were higher after surgical treatment than after conservative treatment (p < 0.0001, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 10.41–21.30). When the age was ≤20 years, the difference in Kujala scores between the two treatment modalities was not statistically significant. When the age was >20 years, the recurrence rate of patellar dislocation was lower after surgical treatment than after conservative treatment (p = 0.009, 95% CI = 0.08–0.70). When the age was ≤20 years, the difference in the recurrence rate of patellar dislocation between the two treatment modalities was not statistically significant. When the age of patients with primary patellar dislocation is ≤20 years, both surgical and conservative treatments result in similar clinical outcomes. When the age is >20 years, better clinical outcomes can be achieved by opting for surgical treatment. Osteoporosis (OP) is a widespread age-related disorder marked by decreased bone density and increased fracture risk, presenting a significant public health challenge. Central to the development and progression of OP is the dysregulation of the mechanistic target of the rapamycin (mTOR)-signaling pathway, which plays a critical role in cellular processes including autophagy, growth, and proliferation. The mTOR-autophagy axis is emerging as a promising therapeutic target due to its regulatory capacity in bone metabolism and homeostasis. This review aims to (1) elucidate the role of mTOR signaling in bone metabolism and its dysregulation in OP, (2) explore the interplay between mTOR and autophagy in the context of bone cell activity, and (3) assess the therapeutic potential of targeting the mTOR pathway with modulators as innovative strategies for OP treatment. By examining the interactions among autophagy, mTOR, and OP, including insights from various types of OP and the impact on different bone cells, this review underscores the complexity of mTOR's role in bone health. Despite advances, significant gaps remain in understanding the detailed mechanisms of mTOR's effects on autophagy and bone cell function, highlighting the need for comprehensive clinical trials to establish the efficacy and safety of mTOR inhibitors in OP management. Future research directions include clarifying mTOR's molecular interactions with bone metabolism and investigating the combined benefits of mTOR modulation with other therapeutic approaches. Addressing these challenges is crucial for developing more effective treatments and improving outcomes for individuals with OP, thereby unveiling the therapeutic potentials of targeting the mTOR-autophagy axis in this prevalent disease. The conversion of inert N2 and CO2 into urea by electrocatalytic technology not only reduces the cost of urea synthesis in future, but also alleviates the environmental pollution problem caused by carbon emission in traditional industrial production. However, facing downside factors such as strong competitive reactions and unclear reaction mechanism, the design of high-performance urea catalysts is imminent. This study demonstrates that W18O49 system doped heteronuclear metals (TM = Fe, Co, Ni) can effectively solve the problem of competitive adsorption between N2 and CO2 and realize the co-adsorption of N2 and CO2 at diverse sites. Their theoretical limiting voltages for urea production on TM-W18O49 (TM = Fe, Co, Ni) systems are −0.46 V, −0.42 V and −0.52 V, respectively. The results are all lower than that of the contrastive voltage in pristine W18O49 system (-0.91 V), further indicating the rationality and necessity of single-atom doped strategy for the co-reduction of two molecules. Specially, Co-W18O49 can theoretically inhibit the side reactions of NRR, CO2RR, and HER, which deserve future experimental exploration in future. Multiaxial fatigue failure of metals, a common issue in industrial production, often leads to significant losses. Recently, many researchers have applied deep learning methods to predict the multiaxial fatigue life of metals, achieving promising results. Due to the high costs of fatigue testing, training data for deep learning is scarce and labor-intensive to collect. This study meets this need by creating a large-scale, high-quality dataset for multiaxial fatigue life prediction, consisting of 1167 samples from 40 materials collected from literature. The dataset includes key mechanical properties (elastic modulus, yield strength, tensile strength, Poisson's ratio) and 48 loading paths, along with additional relevant information (composition ratios, processing conditions). Common deep learning models validated the dataset's effectiveness. This dataset aims to support researchers applying deep learning to fatigue life prediction, addressing the long-standing issue of data scarcity, thereby advancing the intersection of artificial intelligence and metal fatigue research. Osteoporosis (OP) is a common metabolic bone disease characterized by low bone mass, decreased bone mineral density, and degradation of bone tissue microarchitecture. However, our understanding of the mechanisms of bone remodeling and factors affecting bone mass remains incomplete. Sirtuin1 (SIRT1) is a nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide-dependent deacetylase that regulates a variety of cellular metabolisms, including inflammation, tumorigenesis, and bone metabolism. Recent studies have emphasized the important role of SIRT1 in bone homeostasis. Volatility forecasting, a central issue in financial risk modelling and management, has attracted increasing attention after several major financial market crises. In this article, we draw upon the literature on volatility forecasting and hybrid models to construct the Hybrid‐long short‐term memory (LSTM) models to forecast the intraday realized volatility in three major US stock indexes. We construct the hybrid models by combining one or multiple traditional time series models with the LSTM model, and incorporating either the estimated parameters, or the predicted volatility, or both from the statistical models as additional input values into the LSTM model. We perform the out‐of‐sample test of our Hybrid‐LSTM models in volatility forecasting during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) period. Empirical results show that the Hybrid‐LSTM models can still significantly improve the volatility forecasting performance of the LSTM model during the COVID‐19 period. By analysing how the construction methods may influence the forecasting performance of the Hybrid‐LSTM models, we provide some suggestions on their design. Finally, we identify the optimal Hybrid‐LSTM model for each stock index and compare its performance with the LSTM model on each day during our sample period. Background: Presently, there are no studies that examine the impact of side‐reactions of ethylene oxide hydration on triple‐column reactive‐extractive distillation (TC‐RED). This study addressed this gap by investigating how these side‐reactions influence the energy consumption, total annual cost (TAC), and CO2 emission of the TC‐RED process. Two case studies, which involve the ternary separation of tetrahydrofuran (THF)/ethanol (ETOH)/water and ethyl acetate (EA)/ETOH/water were conducted here. Results: Case studies 1 and 2 showed significant increase in energy consumption (39.68% and 16.56%), TAC (65.57% and 47.88%) and CO2 emission (21.15% and 12.89%) resulting from side‐reactions. The increase in energy consumption, TAC, and CO2 emission is primarily a consequence of the high boiling point of higher glycol product derivatives, altered chemical equilibrium behavior and increased reactant flowrates, which necessitate larger equipment sizes and incur higher capital costs. Notwithstanding this, TC‐RED with side‐reactions still outperforms pressure swing distillation (PSD) for separation of THF/ETOH/water and extractive distillation (ED) for separation of EA/ETOH/water. However, it falls short of double‐column reactive‐extractive distillation (DC‐RED) owing to the need for an additional column. Conclusion: Our study highlights the importance of considering side‐reactions in TC‐RED during process design. Although the decline in performance is a result of the additional complexities brought by side‐reactions, it is important to emphasize that the primary takeaway of this study is that the system model is more realistic. Background: Interpregnancy interval (IPI) is associated with the risk of GDM in a second pregnancy. However, an optimal IPI is still need to be determined based on the characteristics of the population. This study aimed to analyze the effect of interpregnancy interval (IPI) on the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in the Chinese population. Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study on female participants who had consecutive deliveries at Peking University Shenzhen Hospital from 2013 to 2021. The IPI was categorized into 7 groups and included into the multivariate logistic regression model with other confound factors. Analysis was also stratified based on age of first pregnancy, BMI, and history of GDM. Adjusted OR values (aOR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) calculated. The regression coefficient of IPI months on GDM prediction risk was analyzed using a linear regression model. Results: A total of 2,392 participants were enrolled. The IPI of the GDM group was significantly greater than that of the non-GDM group (P < 0.05). Compared with the 18–24 months IPI category, participants with longer IPIs (24–36 months, 36–48 months, 48–60 months, and ≥ 60 months) had a higher risk of GDM (aOR:1.585, 2.381, 2.488, and 2.565; 95% CI: 1.021–2.462, 1.489–3.809, 1.441–4.298, and 1.294–5.087, respectively). For participants aged < 30 years or ≥ 30 years or without GDM history, all longer IPIs (≥ 36 months) were all significantly associated with the GDM risk in the second pregnancy (P < 0.05), while any shorter IPIs (< 18 months) was not significantly associated with GDM risk (P > 0.05). For participants with GDM history, IPI 12–18 months, 24–36 months, 36–48 months, and ≥ 60 months were all significantly associated with the GDM risk (aOR: 2.619, 3.747, 4.356, and 5.373; 95% CI: 1.074–6.386, 1.652–8.499, 1.724–11.005, and 1.078–26.793, respectively), and the slope value of linear regression (0.5161) was significantly higher compared to participants without a history of GDM (0.1891) (F = 284.168, P < 0.001). Conclusions: Long IPI increases the risk of GDM in a second pregnancy, but this risk is independent of maternal age. The analysis and detection method of charge and discharge characteristics of lithium battery based on multi-sensor fusion was studied to provide a basis for effectively evaluating the application performance. Firstly, the working principle of charge and discharge of lithium battery is analyzed. Based on single-bus temperature sensor DS18B20, differential D-point voltage sensor and open-loop Hall current sensor, a detector for lithium battery charging and discharging characteristics analysis is designed. Three key parameters of lithium battery charging and discharging process are fused to analyze the charging and discharging characteristics of lithium battery. Experimental results show that this method can effectively measure the actual voltage of lithium-ion battery under different rated voltages, and the measured voltage waveform is very stable and almost without distortion. In the low-temperature environment, the charging time of the two lithium-ion batteries is longer and the discharge speed is faster than the experimental set charging time. In the normal environment and high-temperature environment, the charging and discharging time meets the experimental requirements, and the two batteries have good charging and discharging performance in the normal operating temperature range. To solve the problems of excessive impact and low efficiency in conventional polynomial curve planning caused by frequent start and stop during the operation of palletizing robots, with the SP-120 series palletizing robots as the research object, the D-H coordinate system for the robot was established by using an improved D-H method, and the forward and inverse kinematic solution was analyzed. A trajectory planning method based on Fourier series expansion was used for point-to-point continuous trajectory planning from the starting point to the target point, and simulation analysis was carried out with MATLAB software. The simulation results show that the angular displacement, angular velocity and angular acceleration curves of each joint based on Fourier series expansion are continuous and stable, and the running trajectory of workspace is smooth, the problem of excessive impact under palletizing conditions. Compared with the quintic polynomial interpolation algorithm, a larger peak angular velocity and a constant peak angular acceleration are obtained, which solves the problem of low efficiency of conventional polynomial curve planning. The excavation and maintenance of buried natural gas pipelines can lead to deformation and stress redistribution of the pipelines and even cause secondary damage to the pipes with issues. To clarify the impact of excavation unloading on buried pipelines, this study established a finite element three-dimensional pipe-soil model, investigated the mechanical response of pipelines under layered excavation and evaluated various parameters impacting the response. The parameters analyzed include the diameter-thickness ratio of the pipe, excavation length and width, thickness of top covering soil, elastic modulus of soil, specific weight of soil and initial displacement of the pipeline. The study results showed that the pipeline bulges upwards during excavation unloading, the pipe top in the middle is under tension, and the bottom of the pipe is under compression. Therefore, the axial stress and vertical displacement both increase first and then decrease, and they are distributed symmetrically along the pipeline axis; excavating the initially compressed pipeline leads to high strain areas in the pipeline and even local buckling. The response to slope excavation is more pronounced than that to straight trench excavation; the additional response of the pipeline increases with the increase of diameter-thickness ratio, excavation width, thickness of pipe top covering soil and specific weight of soil, but it decreases with the increasing soil elastic modulus. The additional response is closely related to excavation length and the initial displacement. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the influence of herniation of cartilaginous endplates on postoperative pain and functional recovery in patients undergoing percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy (PELD) for lumbar disc herniation (LDH). Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 126 patients with LDH treated with PELD at the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University from January 2021 to January 2022. Whether cartilaginous endplates had herniated was identified by analyzing these specific findings from MRI scans: posterior marginal nodes, posterior osteophytes, mid endplate irregularities, heterogeneous low signal intensity of extruded material, and Modic changes in posterior corners and mid endplates. Patients were assessed for postoperative pain using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and functional recovery using the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) and Modified MacNab criteria. Statistical analyses compared outcomes based on the presence of herniation of cartilaginous endplates. Results: Patients with herniation of cartilaginous endplates experienced higher pain scores early postoperatively but showed significant improvement in pain and functional status over the long term. The back pain VAS scores showed significant differences between the groups with and without herniation of cartilaginous endplates on postoperative day 1 and 1 month (P < 0.05). Leg pain VAS scores showed significant differences on postoperative day 1 (P < 0.05). Modic changes were significantly associated with variations in postoperative recovery, highlighting their importance in predicting patient outcomes. In patients with herniation of cartilaginous endplates, there were statistically significant differences in the back pain VAS scores at 1 month postoperatively and the ODI functional scores on postoperative day 1 between the groups with and without Modic changes (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the surgical outcomes between patients with and without these conditions regarding the Modified MacNab criteria (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Herniation of cartilaginous endplates significantly affect early postoperative pain and functional recovery in LDH patients undergoing PELD. These findings emphasize the need for clinical consideration of these imaging features in the preoperative planning and postoperative management to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. Phytoalexin sakuranetin functions in resistance against rice blast. However, the mechanisms underlying the effects of sakuranetin remains elusive. Here, we report that rice lines expressing resistance (R) genes were found to contain high levels of sakuranetin, which correlates with attenuated endocytic trafficking of plasma membrane (PM) proteins. Exogenous and endogenous sakuranetin attenuates the endocytosis of various PM proteins and the fungal effector PWL2. Moreover, accumulation of the avirulence protein AvrCO39, resulting from uptake into rice cells by Magnaporthe oryzae, was reduced following treatment with sakuranetin. Pharmacological manipulation of clathrin-mediated endocytic (CME) suggests that this pathway is targeted by sakuranetin. Indeed, attenuation of CME by sakuranetin is sufficient to convey resistance against rice blast. Our data reveals a mechanism of rice against M. oryzae by increasing sakuranetin levels and repressing the CME of pathogen effectors, which is distinct from the action of many R genes that mainly function by modulating transcription. Sakuranetin is an important phytoalexin. The authors find that sakuranetin in rice attenuates endocytosis of effectors from the fungus Magnaporthe oryzae and enhances resistance against rice blast. Background: Ewing sarcoma remains the second most prevalent primary aggressive bone tumor in teens and young adults. The aim of our study was to develop and validate a web-based nomogram to predict the overall survival for Ewing sarcoma in children. Methods: A total of 698 patients, with 640 cases from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (the training set) and 58 cases (the external validation set), were included in this study. Cox analyses were carried out to determine the independent prognostic indicators, which were further included to establish a web-based nomogram. The predictive abilities were tested through the concordance index, calibration curve, decision curve analysis, and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve. Results: As suggested by univariate and multivariate Cox analyses, age, primary site, tumor size, metastasis stage (M stage), and chemotherapy were included as the independent predictive variables. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve values, calibration curves, concordance index, and decision curve analysis from training and validation groups suggested the model has great clinical applications. Conclusion: We developed a convenient and precise web-based nomogram to evaluate overall survival for Ewing sarcoma in children. To address problems encountered in current potato harvesting machines, such as potato damage, poor adaptability, and low operational efficiency, a new towed potato picking and bagging machine (4UJ-180A) equipped with a soil-digging axis, flexible conveying device, and hydraulic control system was developed. The digging mechanism of the harvester can reduce soil blockage and minimize damage to potato skins. The rubber biomimetic finger can maintain stable transportation of potatoes and minimize collisions. The hydraulic control system, the buffering components, and the bagging device work together to flexibly and continuously collect potatoes, reducing skin damage during the harvesting process. Based on the structure of the whole machine, the harvesting process, and the working principle, the soil picking, lifting buffer, and potato collection process were analyzed. Theoretical calculations were used to determine the structure and operational parameters of the potato picking, lifting buffering, and bagging segments. An experiment utilizing the orthogonal method was conducted. The experiment consisted of three factors and three levels, with the test indicators being the potato skin damage rate, potato injury rate, loss rate, and impurity rate. The factors considered in the experiment were the forward speed, conveyor speed, and soil-digging shaft speed. Field experiments demonstrate that at a forward speed of 1 m/s, soil digging shaft speed of 35 rpm, and conveyor speed of 28 rpm, the rate of potato skin damage is 2.8%, the potato injury rate is 1.3%, the loss rate is 0.4%, and the impurity rate is 0.7%. These experiments verify that all indicators adhere to national industry standards, providing a valuable reference for equipment research, development, optimization, and improvement. Microanalysis of carbon and magnesium isotopes in dolomite is gaining increasing attention as a valuable tool in various fields of earth sciences. However, the matrix effect poses a major challenge for determining C and Mg isotopes using laser ablation multi-collector ICP-MS, particularly due to the wide range of chemical compositions found in natural dolomite. A preferred solution is to use a matrix-matched reference material with homogeneous isotope compositions at the micron scale. In this contribution, we established a new protocol for preparing a dolomite reference material for isotopic microanalysis through pressureless sintering. The effects of particle size and sintering temperature on the isotopic homogeneity of sintered dolomite powder pellets (SDPPs) were carefully evaluated. Our results indicate that a smaller d90 particle size improves isotope homogeneity, and SDPPs with a d90 of 3.17 μm show the best laser ablation repeatabilities of δ26Mg and δ25Mg (0.11‰ and 0.09‰) that are 2–4 times better compared to the repeatability of those with a d90 of 10.37 μm. Higher sintering temperature enhances particle cohesion and pellet hardness, which are crucial for laser ablation performance; Vickers hardness (HV) is improved to 41.58 kgf mm−2 when SDPPs are heated up to 400 °C below decomposition temperature. These SDPPs show the best δ13C, δ26Mg and δ25Mg homogeneity with a twice standard deviation value of 0.37‰, 0.11‰ and 0.06‰ (n = 15), respectively. Of note, in situ carbon and magnesium isotope characterization of SDPPs using LA-MC-ICP-MS shows negligible isotope fractionation against natural dolomites. Magnesium alloys, notably AZ31B, hold promise for lightweight structural applications in the aerospace, automotive, and biomedical sectors due to their excellent strength-to-weight ratios. The broad adoption of these alloys, however, is hindered by their inherent susceptibility to corrosion, reducing durability and functional integrity in corrosive environments. This study explores anodic oxidation as a viable surface treatment to improve the corrosion resistance of the AZ31B magnesium alloy. Focusing on the impact of oxidation voltage on the oxide film's structural and electrochemical properties, we aim to optimize these characteristics to enhance the alloy's utility and lifespan significantly. Through detailed analysis of surface and cross-sectional morphologies, film thickness, phase composition, and corrosion resistance, we identify an optimal oxidation voltage of 17.5 V that notably improves the oxide film's density and corrosion resistance. Through this research, we contribute to the ongoing efforts to overcome the corrosion vulnerability of magnesium alloys, thereby unlocking their full potential in contributing to more sustainable and efficient technological advancements. Main Conclusion: The divergence of subsect. Gerardianae was likely triggered by the uplift of the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau and adjacent mountains. Pinus bungeana might have probably experienced expansion since Last Interglacial period. Historical geological and climatic oscillations have profoundly affected patterns of nucleotide variability, evolutionary history, and species divergence in numerous plants of the Northern Hemisphere. However, how long-lived conifers responded to geological and climatic fluctuations in East Asia remain poorly understood. Here, based on paternally inherited chloroplast genomes and maternally inherited mitochondrial DNA markers, we investigated the population demographic history and molecular evolution of subsect. Gerardianae (only including three species, Pinus bungeana, P. gerardiana, and P. squamata) of Pinus. A low level of nucleotide diversity was found in P. bungeana (π was 0.00016 in chloroplast DNA sequences, and 0.00304 in mitochondrial DNAs). The haplotype-based phylogenetic topology and unimodal distributions of demographic analysis suggested that P. bungeana probably originated in the southern Qinling Mountains and experienced rapid population expansion since Last Interglacial period. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that P. gerardiana and P. squamata had closer genetic relationship. The species divergence of subsect. Gerardianae occurred about 27.18 million years ago (Mya) during the middle to late Oligocene, which was significantly associated with the uplift of the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau and adjacent mountains from the Eocene to the mid-Pliocene. The molecular evolutionary analysis showed that two chloroplast genes (psaI and ycf1) were under positive selection, the genetic lineages of P. bungeana exhibited higher transition and nonsynonymous mutations, which were involved with the strongly environmental adaptation. These findings shed light on the population evolutionary history of white pine species and provide striking insights for comprehension of their species divergence and molecular evolution. Background: Renal clear cell carcinoma (RCC) is a common cancer in urinary system with increasing incidence. At present, targeted therapy and immunotherapy are the main therapeutic programs in clinical therapy. To develop novel drugs and provide new ideas for clinical therapy, the identification of potential ccRCC subtypes and potential target genes or pathways has become a current research focus. Aim: The aim of this study was to explore the underlying mechanisms of mitochondrial function in ccRCC. This regulatory pathway is closely related to tumor development and metastasis in ccRCC patients, and their abnormal changes may affect the prognosis of cancer patients. Therefore, we decided to construct a prognostic model of ccRCC patients based on mitochondrial regulatory genes, aiming to provide new methods and ideas for clinical therapy. Result: The 5-year survival prediction model based on iterative LASSO reached 0.746, and the cox model based on coxph reached C-index = 0.77, integrated c/D AUC = 0.61, and integrated brier score = 0.14. The rsf model based on randomForestSRC was built with C-index = 0.82, integrated c/D AUC = 0.69, and integrated brier score = 0.11. The results show that mitochondrial regulatory pathway is a potential target pathway for clinical therapy of ccRCC, which can provide guidelines for clinical targeted therapy, immunotherapy and other first-line therapy. The method of LA-MC-ICP-MS has become one choice for the analysis of many isotopic systems due to its relatively low cost, high analysis speed, high spatial resolution, and low matrix effect. However, there are still many challenges in the accuracy, precision, and spatial resolution of in situ isotopic composition determination by LA-MC-ICP-MS, which mainly include: (1) how to improve instrument sensitivity, further improve the spatial resolution, and achieve simultaneous determination of isotopes, multiple isotopes, or isotopes with trace elements in low-content samples? (2) how to deduct and correct interference to improve the accuracy of isotopic determination? (3) how to correct isotope fractionation? (4) how to reduce the matrix effect of isotopes? how to develop matrix-matched reference materials? and (5) how to achieve non-matrix-matched correction of isotopes? The high-sensitivity cone combinations, gas mixture, shield torch, and reasonable detector array can be applied to improve the elemental sensitivity. The interferences include the background interference and the interferences from the matrix elements (the isobaric interference, the polyatomic interference, and doubly charged ions interference). To reduce or even eliminate the interference, commonly used methods including interference elimination, background correction, and interference correction by evaluating with an interference-free isotope. Isotopic fractionation correction mainly involves external standard calibration and internal and pseudo-internal standard normalization. For non-matrix matched calibration, many methods can be applied, such as the femtosecond laser, line scan, low laser energy, wet plasma condition, optical setup below the sample surface, and matching the intensity of the sample and standard. Propolis is a gelatinous substance processed by western worker bees from the resin of plant buds and mixed with the secretions of the maxillary glands and beeswax. Propolis has extensive biological activities and antitumor effects. There have been few reports about the antitumor effect of propolis against human cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) A431 cells and its potential mechanism. CCK-8 assays, label-free proteomics, RT–PCR, and a xenograft tumor model were employed to explore this possibility. The results showed that the inhibition rate of A431 cell proliferation by the ethanol extract of propolis (EEP) was dose-dependent, with an IC50 of 39.17 μg/mL. There were 193 differentially expressed proteins in the EEP group compared with the control group (p < 0.05), of which 103 proteins (53.37%) were upregulated, and 90 proteins (46.63%) were downregulated. The main three activated and suppressed Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathways were extracellular matrix (ECM)-receptor interaction, amoebiasis, cell adhesion molecules (CAMs), nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), retrograde endocannabinoid signaling, and Alzheimer's disease. The tumor volume of the 100 mg/kg EEP group was significantly different from that of the control group (p < 0.05). Purpose: Alpine peatlands are vital carbon pools and highly sensitive region. Water table level (WTL) changes caused by climate change and human activities may influence carbon fluxes. However, the impacts of WTL changes and the duration (DR) on carbon fluxes are still unclear. Methods: In this study, we conducted a six water table level mesocosm controlled experiment and observed carbon fluxes, including net ecosystem productivity (NEP), ecosystem respiration (ER), gross ecosystem productivity (GEP), and CH4 fluxes for two consecutive years. Mixed effect model was performed to analyze the impacts of WTL changes and DR on carbon fluxes in alpine peatlands. Correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between carbon fluxes and environmental factors. Results: Both WTL and DR significantly affected CO2 fluxes. WTL had significant negative effects on ER (P < 0.01), NEP (P < 0.001), and GEP (P < 0.01). On the other hand, DR had significant positive effects on ER (P < 0.001), NEP (P < 0.05), and GEP (P < 0.001). In addition, WTL had a greater effect on CO2 fluxes than DR. CH4 fluxes significantly increased with increasing WTL (P < 0.001). Furthermore, the relationship between environmental factors and carbon fluxes varied with WTL. Conclusion: WTL and DR jointly influenced carbon fluxes of alpine peatlands in Zoige Plateau. Aiming to combat the problems of slow speed and poor accuracy of reliability evaluation of the power system in wind farms with energy storage, this paper proposes a method of reliability evaluation based on Latin hypercube important sampling (LHIS). Firstly, we aimed to establish the Latin hypercube important sampling evaluation model by combining the Latin hypercube sampling method with the important sampling method. Secondly, we aimed to optimize the sample probability distribution of the components and conduct hierarchical sampling of the system. Then, the comprehensive risk indicator (CRI) was proposed to evaluate the operational risk and the wind storage generation interrupted energy benefit (WSGIEB) was proposed to evaluate the contribution of the reliability. Finally, simulation experiments were carried out through various power system operation scenarios. The simulation results show that the proposed method is 47% higher than the improving importance sampling method (IM-IS) in evaluation speed and 33% higher than the improving importance sampling method in calculation accuracy. The isotopic composition of lithium (Li) in clinopyroxene (Cpx), determined via in situ micro‐analysis, has been employed as a potential geochemical tool for studying various geological processes such as crust‐mantle recycling, silicate weathering and fluid‐rock interaction. To obtain precise and accurate Li isotopic compositions in Cpx by LA‐MC‐ICP‐MS, synthetic Cpx matrix‐matched reference materials (RMs) were prepared in this study. Six Cpx‐matrix RMs were prepared by mixing metallic oxides with GSP‐2 (granodiorite) or pure L‐SVEC solution and melting them into glasses (GSP‐2 + oxide; L‐SVEC + oxide). Two representative synthetic glasses, CPXA01 and CPXB01, were subjected to a series of analyses to investigate the possible qualification of the RMs for in situ Li isotope measurement by LA‐MC‐ICP‐MS, including elemental homogeneity analysis (elemental mapping analysis and spot analysis), Li isotopic homogeneity analysis and accurate Li isotopic determination. The applicability of the synthetic Cpx‐matrix RMs was highlighted by comparing the δ7Li values of three natural Cpx calibrated against the synthetic Cpx‐matrix RMs and other commonly used RMs with different matrices (NIST SRM 612, BCR‐2G, GOR128‐G, StHs6/80‐G, KL2‐G and T1‐G), respectively. Additionally, CPXB01‐05 RMs with the same matrix but different Li contents were prepared to explore the Li content mismatch effect, which is significant for accurate determination of in situ Li isotopic composition by LA‐MC‐ICP‐MS. The results of the cross‐calibration of Li isotopes in CPXA01 and CPXB01 suggested no obvious Li isotopic fractionation between the two types of glasses (GSP‐2 + oxide; L‐SVEC + oxide). Background: Regarding trochanteric hip fractures, one type of posterior coronal fragments was described as the "banana-shaped fragment", while the impact of the banana-shaped fragment on mechanical stability has not been further studied. The current study investigated the association between the banana-shaped fragment and mechanical complications after surgery. Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 273 patients treated by proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) in the full analysis. The age, the sex, the fracture side, the follow-up time, the American Society of Anesthesiologists classification, the operators, the fracture classification, the tip-apex distance, the blade positions, the reduction quality and the bone mineral density were analyzed in relation to mechanical complications, through univariate and multivariate approaches. Results: Mechanical complications happened in 33 patients. The banana-shaped fragment (adjusted odds ratio 5.240, 95% CI 2.172 to 12.641; p < 0.001), the tip-apex distance and the reduction quality showed significant association with mechanical complications in both univariate and multivariate analysis. Moreover, for 118 patients with the banana-shaped fragment, we found that the use of wire cerclage couldn't significantly lower the rates of mechanical complications (p = 0.648). Conclusions: The banana-shaped fragment had a negative impact on mechanical stability of trochanteric hip fractures treated by PFNA. Propolis is a well-known natural antibacterial substance with various biological activities, such as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. However, applications of propolis are limited due to its low water solubility. In this study, propolis microcapsules were developed with a core material of ethanol extract of propolis and shell materials of gum arabic and β-cyclodextrin using a spray-drying technique. The optional processing formula, particle size distribution, morphology, dissolution property, and antibacterial activity of propolis microcapsules were determined. The results showed that the optional processing obtained an embedding rate of 90.99% propolis microcapsules with an average particle size of 445.66 ± 16.96 nm. The infrared spectrogram and thermogravimetric analyses showed that propolis was embedded in the shell materials. The propolis microcapsules were continuously released in water and fully released on the eighth day, and compared to propolis, the microcapsules exhibited weaker antibacterial activity. The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of propolis microcapsules against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were 0.15 and 1.25 mg/mL, and their minimum bactericidal concentrations (MBCs) were 0.3 and 1.25 mg/mL, respectively. Aim: This study was designed to develop an effective measurement tool for occupational stress among medical staff and to identify the underlying risk factors among clinical nurses in China under depression during and after COVID-19.Methods: In the first stage, an occupational stress scale was developed for medical staff based on qualitative and quantitative methods. The dimensions of the scale were based on childhood stress and seven other parameters of working stress. In the second stage, a provincial survey was conducted among clinical nurses in Hainan. The structure of Medical Staff Occupational Stress Scale was tested in secondary and tertiary hospitals. The socio-demographic information, occupational stress (measured using the developed scale), and current depression symptoms (assessed with the nine‐item Patient Health Questionnaire) were evaluated. The risk factors for occupational stress-induced depression were tested using multivariate logistic regression.Results: The Medical Staff Occupational Stress Scale consisted of 42 items under eight dimensions with strong reliability and validity. Almost 80% of the clinical nurses reported obvious symptoms of depression. Based on multivariate logistical regression analysis, the significant risk factors for depression in nurses at secondary hospitals and tertiary hospitals were childhood stress, teaching stress, relationship with patient stress, and administration stress.Conclusion: The Medical Staff Occupational Stress Scale utilized in nursing population is based on strong psychometric features. Childhood stress contributes to occupational stress in nurses. The selection of nurses for clinical work may require evaluation of past history for childhood stress to prevent occupational depression. BACKGROUND: The sustainability performance of extractive distillation (ED) that collectively considers energy efficiency, process safety, economic profitability, process control, and environmental emission has not been widely reported. Motivated by this lack of research, we analyzed and compared the sustainability performance of the intensified side‐stream ED (SSED) with that of the conventional extractive distillation (CED) for the separation of binary azeotropic mixtures. Two different design approaches were analyzed; the first approach involves designing the intensified SSED by preserving the original CED column configuration, while the second approach involves optimizing the original column configuration to become a new intensified SSED configuration. RESULTS: We found that preserving the original configuration usually provides energy‐savings, but this advantage is not guaranteed unless the process is optimized. Generally, the reduction in energy consumption improves economic and environmental performance. However, the optimized design has a higher risk index because it is usually larger in size, for the sake of lowering the energy consumption. In addition, the optimized design usually has a higher condition number, which signifies that a more complex control structure is required. CONCLUSION: Altogether, designing the intensified process via process optimization does not always guarantee significant improvement in all sustainability indicators. © 2023 Society of Chemical Industry (SCI). Purpose: Medial meniscus extrusion (MME) refers to the protrusion of the medial meniscus beyond the tibial edge by more than 3 mm, leading to a deficiency of the hoop strain. MME commonly occurs in conjunction with osteoarthritis (OA) or medial meniscal tears (MMT). However, factors associated with concomitant MME in patients with OA or MMT have not been systematically reviewed. This study aims to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis to identify factors associated with concomitant MME in OA or MMT. Methods: The systematic review of the literature was performed according to PRISMA. A literature search was conducted in 4 databases. All original human studies that reported the available evidence on factors associated with concomitant MME in patients with OA or MMT were included. Pooled binary variables were analyzed by odds ratios (OR) and 95% CIs, and pooled continuous variables were evaluated by mean difference (MD) and 95% CIs. Results: Ten studies on OA (5993 patients) and eight studies on MMT (872 patients) met the inclusion criteria. The overall pooled incidence of MME was 43% (95% CI, 37–50%) for OA, 61% (95% CI 43–77%) for MMT, and 85% (95% CI 72–94%) for medial meniscal root tears (MMRT). For the population with OA, Factors significantly associated with MME included radiographic OA [OR 4.24; 95% CI 3.07–5.84; P < 0.0001], bone marrow lesions [OR, 3.35; 95% CI 1.61–6.99; P = 0.0013], cartilage damage [OR, 3.25; 95% CI 1.60–6.61; P = 0.0011], and higher body mass index (BMI) [MD, 1.81; 95% CI 1.15–2.48; P < 0.0001]. Factors strongly associated with increased risk of MME for MMT included medial meniscal root [OR, 8.39; 95% CI 2.84–24.82; P < 0.0001] and radial tears [OR, 2.64; 95% CI 1.18–5.92; P < 0.0001]. Conclusion: Radiographic OA, bone marrow lesions, cartilage damage, and higher BMI were significantly associated with concomitant MME with OA. In this paper, the authors apply the feature pyramid network (FPN) to the single‐stage anchor‐free object detection algorithm CenterNet, and the effectiveness of the multi‐level feature fusion of FPN for the object detection algorithm is proved by experiments. However, multi‐level feature fusion leads to an increase in computational cost. In this regard, this paper proposes an object detection algorithm, called DDE‐Net, that does not use multi‐level feature fusion and only uses single‐level feature for optimization. The key component in it: the dense dilated encoder, which encourages dense information exchange of features between different spatial scales. This paper presents extensive experiments, and DDE‐Net shows strong performance compared to that of other popular models on the PASCAL VOC and on the COCO2017 dataset. On the COCO2017 dataset, the authors' DDE‐Net achieves comparable results with its feature pyramids counterpart RetinaNet, while applying the same backbone with smaller params and GFLOPs than RetinaNet. BACKGROUND: Here, we investigated the control performance of extractive distillation intensified with 'feed split' (FS) technique – a process intensification technique that has not been widely applied to extractive distillation. Today, only a handful of studies have been reported on this topic, with only one focusing on the control performance and reporting the significant trade‐off between the steady‐state and dynamic performances. Nonetheless, the previous control study was based on the complex double column FS configuration. Recently, a new triple column FS configuration was reported (Sep. Purif. Technol. 2022 (297) 121467), but its control performance was not investigated. Hypothetically, the triple column FS configuration is less complex and does not involve any column integration and thus, may demonstrate a better dynamic performance. This study analyzed the control performances of the triple column FS configuration and the conventional configuration for the binary azeotropic separation of tetrahydrofuran and ethanol. RESULTS: Two types of control structures were examined for both configurations, i.e., the basic temperature control structure and the different feed forward temperature control schemes. The best control structure from each configuration is compared and findings showed that the conventional configuration provides better controllability performance. Western dietary patterns have been unfavorably linked with mental health. However, the long-term effects of habitual fried food consumption on anxiety and depression and underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Our population-based study with 140,728 people revealed that frequent fried food consumption, especially fried potato consumption, is strongly associated with 12% and 7% higher risk of anxiety and depression, respectively. The associations were more pronounced among male and younger consumers. Consistently, long-term exposure to acrylamide, a representative food processing contaminant in fried products, exacerbates scototaxis and thigmotaxis, and further impairs exploration ability and sociality of adult zebrafish, showing anxiety- and depressive-like behaviors. Moreover, treatment with acrylamide significantly down-regulates the gene expression of tjp2a related to the permeability of blood-brain barrier. Multiomics analysis showed that chronic exposure to acrylamide induces cerebral lipid metabolism disturbance and neuroinflammation. PPAR signaling pathway mediates acrylamide-induced lipid metabolism disorder in the brain of zebrafish. Especially, chronic exposure to acrylamide dysregulates sphingolipid and phospholipid metabolism, which plays important roles in the development of anxiety and depression symptoms. In addition, acrylamide promotes lipid peroxidation and oxidation stress, which participate in cerebral neuroinflammation. Acrylamide dramatically increases the markers of lipid peroxidation, including (±)5-HETE, 11(S)-HETE, 5-oxoETE, and up-regulates the expression of proinflammatory lipid mediators such as (±)12-HETE and 14(S)-HDHA, indicating elevated cerebral inflammatory status after chronic exposure to acrylamide. Together, these results both epidemiologically and mechanistically provide strong evidence to unravel the mechanism of acrylamide-triggered anxiety and depression, and highlight the significance of reducing fried food consumption for mental health. Green finance can promote economic transformation and technological innovation and play a key role in solving the ecological environment and energy crisis. This paper constructs a comprehensive ecological livable environment evaluation system based on the provincial panel data in China from 2011 to 2019. At the same time, the panel mediation effect and spatial econometric model are used to test the impact of green finance on the ecological and livable environment. The main research conclusions include the following: (1) green finance has significantly improved China's ecological and livable environment; (2) green finance improves the ecological and livable environment by improving the level of technological innovation; (3) the impact of green finance on the ecological livable environment has regional heterogeneity, and green finance in the central provinces has a better effect on the improvement of the ecological livable environment; and (4) the ecological livable environment among Chinese provinces has a significant positive spatial correlation. Among them, green finance has significantly improved the local ecological livable environment but reduced the ecological livable environment of surrounding provinces. Based on the above conclusions, this paper suggests that the government should pay more attention to green finance and technological innovation and coordinate the development of the ecological livable environment among provinces. The research results provide empirical evidence for better developing green finance and improving the ecological livable environment and also provide certain theoretical guidance for China's coordinated regional development and high-quality economic development. Corporate managers are the central figures of corporate activity who can control the strategic direction of companies. The company's use of financial derivatives can avoid risks and has an important impact on the value of the company. This study examines A-share listed firms in Shanghai over the period 2011–2020, uses an OLS panel and a moderating effects model, and investigates the impact of financial derivatives on firm value from the perspective of managers' characteristics. We find that financial derivatives can significantly increase the enterprise value of Chinese listed companies, while exchange rate derivatives have a stronger impact on enterprise value. We also find that the higher the proportion of managers who hold shares and have a financial background, the better the effect of firms using financial derivatives. Significantly enhanced dielectric constant and energy storage density positively facilitate miniaturising dielectric capacitors for various applications in electronics and electrical devices. Herein, a fluoropolymer is coated on BaTiO3 (BT) nanoparticles to form a core–shell structure (BT@PF80), which is used as additional dipoles to enhance the dielectric constant and energy density of polymer nanocomposites. Characterizations with various techniques show uniform dispersion of nanoparticles and good compatibility of interfaces in polymer nanocomposites. Furthermore, the dielectric constant increases from 7.85 of neat polymer to 9.43 of the nanocomposites filled with BT@PF80 while the dielectric loss further decreases from 0.05 to 0.04 at 1 KHz. In addition, 7.79 J cm−3 of energy density is achieved at the nanocomposites filled with BT@PF80, which is 2.65 times higher than that of the neat polymer. This work presents a simple and effective means to enhance dielectric constant and energy density, which tends to fertilize the fabrications of polymer dielectrics for electric energy storage. Propolis is resinous natural product produced by Western honeybees using beeswax and plant and bud exudates, which has a wide range of biological activities, including antioxidation, antibacterial, anti-inflammation, immune regulation, antitumor, and so on. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is an aggressive cancer, and accounts for about 30% of all lymphomas. The effect of poplar propolis on DLBCL has not been reported. The IC50 of propolis on the proliferation of DLBCL SU-DHL-2 cell line and its proteins and gene expressions were detected by CCK-8 kit, label-free proteomic, and RT-PCR. The results showed that the IC50 of propolis at the 5 × l05/mL cell for 24 h was 5.729 μg/mL. Label-free-based proteomics analysis showed that there were 115 differentially expressed proteins (61 up-regulated and 54 down-regulated proteins) between IC50 dose-treated and solvent control groups. There were 32.47% differential proteins located in the nucleus, 20.78% in the cytoplasm, and 14.29% in mitochondria. The most significant different pathway (p = 0.0016) of protein enrichment was ferroptosis (including glutamate–cysteine ligase regulatory subunit, ferritin, and heme oxygenase). The relative expression trend of 17 of the total 22 genes selected according to proteomics results was in line with their encoded protein. The highest protein–protein interaction was serine/threonine-protein kinase PLK, which interacted with 16 differential proteins. In conclusion, poplar propolis inhibited SU-DHL-2 cells via ferroptosis pathway, accelerating cell death and down-regulated serine/threonine-protein kinase PLK1, affecting apoptosis of cell. Background: Here we analysed the possibility of improving the sustainability performance for the recovery of dichloromethane and methanol from a binary azeotropic mixture using different energy‐intensified extractive distillation‐based processes: side‐stream extractive distillation (SSED), thermally coupled extractive distillation (TCED), and extractive dividing wall column (EDWC). The sustainability performance of the different processes was analysed based on three main factors: total annual cost (TAC), CO2 emissions, and condition number. Results: The EDWC was found to give the best improvement in terms of TAC and CO2 emissions by about 18% and 21%, relative to conventional extractive distillation (CED). These however were traded‐off by the increase in conditional number (CN) by 186 times, signifying a complex dynamic characteristic for the EDWC. Thus, the SSED was suggested as an alternative sustainable option as it also provides significant improvement in TAC and CO2 emissions by about 11%, and 18% with respect to the CED, whilst providing the least reduction in operational controllability, as evidenced by the marginal increase in the CN of about 1.5 times. We also investigated the dynamic performance of the SSED and found that the SSED provides identical dynamic performance in handling both ±10% throughput and ±5% feed composition disturbances as those of the CED. Conclusion: Among the different processes, SSED is the best sustainable alternative that provides compromised steady‐state (i.e. TAC and CO2 emissions) and dynamic (i.e. control) performance for the recovery of dichloromethane and methanol. © 2022 Society of Chemical Industry (SCI). Objectives. Osteoarthritis is the leading disease of joints worldwide. Osteoarthritis may be treated by exosomes derived from Runx2-overexpressed bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (R-BMSCs-Exos). R-BMSCs-Exos would promote the proliferation, migration, and phenotypic maintenance of articular chondrocytes. Methods. BMSCs were transfected with and without Runx2. Exosomes derived from BMSCs and R-BMSCs (BMSCs-Exos and R-BMSCs-Exos) were isolated and identified. Proliferation, migration, and phenotypic maintenance were determined in vitro and compared between groups. The mechanism for activation of Yes-associated protein (YAP) was investigated using small interfering RNA (siRNA). The exosomes' preventive role was determined in vivo using Masson trichrome and immunohistochemical staining. Results. R-BMSCs-Exos enhance the proliferation, migration, and phenotypic maintenance of articular chondrocytes based on the YAP being activated. R-BMSCs-Exos prevent knee osteoarthritis as studied in vivo through a rabbit model. Conclusions. Findings emphasize the efficacy of R-BMSCs-Exos in preventing osteoarthritis. Potential source of exosomes is sorted out for the advantages and shortcomings. The exosomes are then modified based on the molecular mechanisms to address their limitations. Zearalenone (ZEN) is a ubiquitous contaminant in poultry feed, since ZEN and its metabolites can interfere with estrogen function and affect the reproductive ability of animals. The estrogen-like effect of ZEN on mammal is widely reported, while little information is available, regarding the effect of relatively low dose of ZEN on estrogen function and production performance of laying hens, and the relationship between them. This work was aimed to investigate the effects of ZEN on the production performance, egg quality, ovarian function and gut microbiota of laying hens. A total of 96 Hy-line brown laying hens aged 25-week were randomly divided into 3 groups including basal diet group (BD group), basal diet supplemented with 250 μg/kg (250 μg/kg ZEN group) and 750 μg/kg (750 μg/kg ZEN group) ZEN group. Here, 750 μg/kg ZEN resulted in a significant increase in the feed conversion ratio (FCR) (g feed/g egg) (p < 0.05), a decrease in the egg production (p > 0.05), albumen height and Haugh unit (p > 0.05), compared to the BD group. The serum Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels significantly decreased in ZEN supplemented groups (p < 0.05). Serum Luteinizing hormone (LH) and Progesterone (P) levels in the 750 μg/kg ZEN group were significantly lower than those in the BD group (p < 0.05). 16S rRNA sequencing indicated that ZEN reduced cecum microbial diversity (p < 0.05) and altered gut microbiota composition. In contrast to 250 μg/kg ZEN, 750 μg/kg ZEN had more dramatic effects on the gut microbiota function. Spearman's correlation analysis revealed negative correlations between the dominant bacteria of the 750 μg/kg ZEN group and the production performance, egg quality and ovarian function of hens. Overall, ZEN was shown to exert a detrimental effect on production performance, egg quality and ovarian function of laying hens in this study. Moreover, alterations in the composition and function of the gut microbiota induced by ZEN may be involved in the adverse effects of ZEN on laying hens. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Venture capital (VC) is a form of private equity financing provided by VC institutions to startups with high growth potential due to innovative technology or novel business models but also high risks. To against uncertainties and benefit from mutual complementarity and sharing resources and information, making joint-investments with other VC institutions on the same startup are pervasive, which forms an ever-growing complex syndication network. Attaining objective classifications of VC institutions and revealing the latent structure of joint-investment behaviors between them can deepen our understanding of the VC industry and boost the healthy development of the market and economy. In this work, we devise an iterative Loubar method based on the Lorenz curve to make objective classification of VC institutions automatically, which does not require setting arbitrary thresholds and the number of categories. We further reveal distinct investment behaviors across categories, where the top-ranked group enters more industries and investment stages with a better performance. Through network embedding of joint investment relations, we unveil the existence of possible territories of top-ranked VC institutions, and the hidden structure of relations between VC institutions.
