Background: The specific CT-related skeletal muscle parameters predictive of postoperative survival in liver transplant (LT) patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain unclear. There is increasing evidence supporting the role of fatty acids and their lipid intermediates in regulating skeletal muscle mass and function, the relationship between lipoprotein subfractions and body composition remains unclear. Methods: Adult patients with HCC who underwent LT between January 2015 and September 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. CT parameters, including skeletal muscle index (SMI), psoas muscle index (PMI), skeletal muscle density (SMD), visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue (VAT and SAT), and the VAT/SAT ratio at the L3 level, and lipid profiles, were assessed prior to LT. Results: Of the 284 LT patients with HCC, 224 underwent CT (L3 level) within 3 months of LT, and 82 (37%) were diagnosed with myosteatosis. Patients with myosteatosis exhibited significantly lower 1- and 3-year survival rates (p = 0.002, p = 0.01), a trend persisting even beyond the Milan criteria (p = 0.004, p = 0.04). After adjusting for covariates, SMD demonstrated a significant negative correlation with post-transplant survival (HR: 0.90, [95% Confidence Interval(CI): 0.83–0.98], C-statistic: 0.78, p = 0.009). Pearson's correlation analysis revealed a positive correlation between high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and apolipoprotein A1(ApoA1) levels and SMD. Multivariate stepwise regression analysis demonstrated that every 10 Hounsfield unit decrease in SMD was associated with a 0.16 mmol/L decrease in HDL-C and a 0.18 g/L decrease in ApoA1. Conclusion: Routine abdominal CT scans for assessing skeletal muscle density before LT were significantly associated with post-transplant mortality. Objectives To elucidate the longitudinal reciprocal association between RA and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and the mediating role of systemic inflammation in the association. Methods A total of 403 045 participants from UK Biobank were enrolled in this study. A cross-lagged panel model was used to investigate the longitudinal reciprocal association between RA and COPD. Cox proportional hazards regression and logistic regression models were also conducted to examine the association between baseline RA and COPD during follow-up, and vice versa. Causal mediation analysis was then performed to explore the mediating roles of 160 systemic inflammatory biomarkers in the bidirectional association. Results At baseline, 4755 (1.2%) and 6989 (1.7%) individuals were diagnosed with RA and COPD, respectively. After adjusting for the covariates, the result of a cross-lagged panel model revealed a bidirectional association between RA and COPD (β = 0.018, P  < 0.001 for the RA→COPD path; β = 0.010, P  < 0.001 for the COPD→RA path). In the non-COPD population, the risk of future COPD was increased in RA patients [Cox model: hazard ratio (HR) 1.65 (95% CI 1.50, 1.83); logistic model: odds ratio (OR) 1.85 (95% CI 1.66, 2.07)]. In the non-RA population, baseline COPD was associated with a higher risk of RA during follow-up [Cox model: HR 1.67 (95% CI 1.44, 1.92); logistic model: OR 1.70 (95% CI 1.47, 1.97)]. Five inflammatory factors mediated the RA→COPD path and CRP mediated the COPD→RA path (false discovery rate < 0.05). Well-functioning vascular access (VA) is essential for hemodialysis treatment in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). However, continuous and accurate monitoring of blood flow to assess high-flux VA during hospitalization or at home is not feasible for either clinical instruments or wearable sensors. Here, we report the design and preclinical validation of a high-precision, long-term, epidermal blood flow sensor that self-adapts to unavoidable sensor-mounting deviations on the skin and is compatible with individual tissue differences. Specifically, the technology is based on thermal dissipation of the skin, and improves the signal-to-error ratio surpassing 4 times when measuring high-flux blood (100–600 mL/min). In preclinical validation, the sensor is compared with the Doppler ultrasound and demonstrate a blood flow resolution of 10–50 mL/min. Furthermore, it is highly-integrated and wearable, measuring 36 × 50 mm2. Recognizing low-resolution text images is challenging as they often lose their detailed information, leading to poor recognition accuracy. Moreover, the traditional methods, based on deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs), are not effective enough for some low-resolution text images with dense characters. In this paper, a novel CNN-based batch-transformer network for scene text image super-resolution (BT-STISR) method is proposed to address this problem. In order to obtain the text information for text reconstruction, a pre-trained text prior module is employed to extract text information. Then a novel two pipeline batch-transformer-based module is proposed, leveraging self-attention and global attention mechanisms to exert the guidance of text prior to the text reconstruction process. Experimental study on a benchmark dataset TextZoom shows that the proposed method BT-STISR achieves the best state-of-the-art performance in terms of structural similarity (SSIM) and peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) metrics compared to some latest methods. The present contribution reports the first success in utilizing circularly polarized phosphorescence energy transfer (CPP‐ET) combined with chirality‐selective absorption (CSA) to construct full‐color and white CPLA materials. Blue CPLA with luminescence dissymmetry factor (glum) of 3×10−2 is firstly obtained via the CSA effect of chiral helical polyacetylene and blue ultralong afterglow of inorganic phosphor BP. Significantly, full‐color and white CPLA films are prepared by simply blending different fluorophores into the blue‐CPLA films via CPP‐ET. Benefited from the persistent luminescence of BP, the lifetimes of the fluorophores increase from nanoseconds to minutes, and ultralong full‐color CPLA emissions lasting for more than 20 min are realized with glum of 10−3. Also noticeably, chiral optoelectronic devices, multi‐dimension information encryption and chiral logic gate are developed based on the full‐color tunable CPLA‐active materials. Recently, the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) has given rise to a significant trust crisis, stemming from the persistent emergence of issues in practical applications. As a crucial component of AI, data has a profound impact on the trustworthiness of AI. Nevertheless, researchers have struggled with the challenge of rationally assessing data quality, primarily due to the scarcity of versatile and effective evaluation methods. To address this trouble, a multi-dimensional hierarchical evaluation system (MDHES) is proposed to estimate the data quality. Initially, multiple key dimensions are devised to evaluate specific data conditions separately by the calculation of individual scores. Then, the strengths and weaknesses among various dimensions can be provided a clearer understanding. Furthermore, a comprehensive evaluation method, incorporating a fuzzy evaluation model, is developed to synthetically evaluate the data quality. Then, this evaluation method can achieve a dynamic balance, and meanwhile achieve a harmonious integration of subjectivity and objectivity criteria to ensure a more precise assessment result. Finally, rigorous experiment verification and comparison in both benchmark problems and real-world applications demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed MDHES, which can accurately assess data quality to provide a strong data support for the development of trustworthy AI. Objective: This study aimed to develop and apply a nomogram with good accuracy to predict the risk of CRAB infections in neuro-critically ill patients. In addition, the difficulties and expectations of application such a tool in clinical practice was investigated. Methods: A mixed methods sequential explanatory study design was utilized. We first conducted a retrospective study to identify the risk factors for the development of CRAB infections in neuro-critically ill patients; and further develop and validate a nomogram predictive model. Then, based on the developed predictive tool, medical staff in the neuro-ICU were received an in-depth interview to investigate their opinions and barriers in using the prediction tool during clinical practice. The model development and validation is carried out by R. The transcripts of the interviews were analyzed by Maxqda. Results: In our cohort, the occurrence of CRAB infections was 8.63% (47/544). Multivariate regression analysis showed that the length of neuro-ICU stay, male, diabetes, low red blood cell (RBC) count, high levels of procalcitonin (PCT), and number of antibiotics ≥ 2 were independent risk factors for CRAB infections in neuro-ICU patients. Our nomogram model demonstrated a good calibration and discrimination in both training and validation sets, with AUC values of 0.816 and 0.875. Additionally, the model demonstrated good clinical utility. The significant barriers identified in the interview include "skepticism about the accuracy of the model", "delay in early prediction by the indicator of length of neuro-ICU stay", and "lack of a proper protocol for clinical application". Conclusions: We established and validated a nomogram incorporating six easily accessed indicators during clinical practice (the length of neuro-ICU stay, male, diabetes, RBC, PCT level, and the number of antibiotics used) to predict the risk of CRAB infections in neuro-ICU patients. Medical staff are generally interested in using the tool to predict the risk of CRAB, however delivering clinical prediction tools in routine clinical practice remains challenging. Porcine circoviruses, particularly porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) and porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3), significantly impact the global pig industry due to their high prevalence and pathogenicity. Conversely, porcine circovirus type 1 (PCV1) and porcine circovirus type 4 (PCV4) currently have low positivity rates. This study aimed to characterize the distribution and epidemiology of porcine circoviruses in Xinjiang, while also analyzing the genetic diversity and evolution of PCV2 and PCV3, which pose the greatest threats to the industry. In this study, we collected blood and tissue samples from 453 deceased pigs across eight regions in Xinjiang Province from 2022 to 2024. We utilized real-time PCR to detect the presence of PCV1, PCV2, PCV3, and PCV4. The positive rates were 15%, 71%, 25%, and 17%, respectively. Genetic analysis showed 9 PCV2 sequences and 12 PCV3 sequences. The capsid protein of PCV2 showed significant variability. In contrast, the amino acid sequences of capsid in PCV3 were relatively stable. Moreover, we predicted antigenic epitopes for PCV3 capsid using IEDB and ElliPro. The findings from this study provide valuable epidemiological data on PCV coinfection in the Xinjiang region and enhance the understanding of virus diversity nationwide. Septic cardiomyopathy is a life-threatening heart dysfunction caused by severe infection. Considering the complexity of pathogenesis and high mortality, the identification of efficient biomarkers are needed to guide clinical practice. Based on multimicroarray analysis, this study aimed to explore the pathogenesis of septic cardiomyopathy and the related immune landscape. The results showed that septic cardiomyopathy resulted in organ dysfunction due to extreme pro- and anti-inflammatory effects. In this process, KLRG1, PRF1, BCL6, GAB2, MMP9, IL1R1, JAK3, IL6ST, and SERPINE1 were identified as the hub genes regulating the immune landscape of septic cardiomyopathy. Nine transcription factors regulated the expression of these genes: SRF, STAT1, SP1, RELA, PPARG, NFKB1, PPARA, SMAD3, and STAT3. The hub genes activated the Th17 cell differentiation pathway, JAK-STAT signaling pathway, and cytokine‒cytokine receptor interaction pathway. These pathways were mainly involved in regulating the inflammatory response, adaptive immune response, leukocyte-mediated immunity, cytokine-mediated immunity, immune effector processes, myeloid cell differentiation, and T-helper cell differentiation. Combining hydrogen evolution with the conversion of benzyl alcohol (BA) into benzaldehyde (BAD) could provide an alternative pathway for sufficiently utilizing photogenerated electrons and holes to achieve high value chemicals and fuels. Herein, a ZnIn2S4 nanosheet array/one-dimensional Co9S8 hollow nanotube (Co9S8/ZnIn2S4) composite has been fabricated by simple hydrothermal and solvent thermal methods. Without the utilization of sacrificial agents, the optimal 20%-Co9S8/ZnIn2S4 hybrid catalyst shows a superior H2 production of 3070.56 μmol·g–1·h–1 and a high benzyl alcohol conversion rate of 93.2%, which are 4.1 and 2.9 times higher than those of individual ZnIn2S4, respectively. The superior photocatalytic performance over Co9S8/ZnIn2S4 nanocomposites compared with bare ZnIn2S4 can be credited to the introduction of Co9S8 hollow nanotubes as a cocatalyst, which can offer plentiful active sites, improve the absorption of visible light, and facilitate the separation and transfer of electron–hole pairs of ZnIn2S4. Multiple cycling experiments indicate good durability of the Co9S8/ZnIn2S4 nanocomposite. In addition, the in situ electron paramagnetic resonance indicates that α-hydroxybenzyl radicals are the key intermediate of the conversion of BA into BAD. This paper is intended to provide a meaningful reference for the ingenious design of the photocatalyst structure and building a high-performance coupled photocatalytic system with sufficient utilization of electrons and holes. Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), noted for its widespread prevalence among adults, has become the leading chronic liver condition globally. Simultaneously, the annual disease burden, particularly liver cirrhosis caused by NAFLD, has increased significantly. Neutrophil Extracellular Traps (NETs) play a crucial role in the progression of this disease and are key to the pathogenesis of NAFLD. However, research into the specific roles of NETs-related genes in NAFLD is still a field requiring thorough investigation. Utilizing techniques like AddModuleScore, ssGSEA, and WGCNA, our team conducted gene screening to identify the genes linked to NETs in both single-cell and bulk transcriptomics. Using algorithms including Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, Least Absolute Shrinkage, and Selection Operator, we identified ZFP36L2 and PHLDA1 as key hub genes. The pivotal role of these genes in NAFLD diagnosis was confirmed using the training dataset GSE164760. This study identified 116 genes linked to NETs across single-cell and bulk transcriptomic analyses. These genes demonstrated enrichment in immune and metabolic pathways. Additionally, two NETs-related hub genes, PHLDA1 and ZFP36L2, were selected through machine learning for integration into a prognostic model. These hub genes play roles in inflammatory and metabolic processes. scRNA-seq results showed variations in cellular communication among cells with different expression patterns of these key genes. In conclusion, this study explored the molecular characteristics of NETs-associated genes in NAFLD. It identified two potential biomarkers and analyzed their roles in the hepatic microenvironment. Advances in modern medicine have extended human life expectancy, leading to a world with a gradually aging society. Aging refers to a natural decline in the physiological functions of a species over time, such as reduced pain sensitivity and reaction speed. Healthy-level physiological pain serves as a warning signal to the body, helping to avoid noxious stimuli. Physiological pain sensitivity gradually decreases in the elderly, increasing the risk of injury. Therefore, geriatric health care receives growing attention, potentially improving the health status and life quality of the elderly, further reducing medical burden. Health food is a geriatric healthcare choice for the elderly with Ganoderma tsuage (GT), a Reishi type, as the main product in the market. GT contains polysaccharides, triterpenoids, adenosine, immunoregulatory proteins, and other components, including anticancer, blood sugar regulating, antioxidation, antibacterial, antivirus, and liver and stomach damage protective agents. However, its pain perception-related effects remain elusive. This study thus aimed at addressing whether GT could prevent pain sensitivity reduction in the elderly. We used a galactose-induced animal model for aging to evaluate whether GT could maintain pain sensitivity in aging mice undergoing formalin pain test, hot water test, and tail flexes. Our results demonstrated that GT significantly improved the sensitivity and reaction speed to pain in the hot water, hot plate, and formalin tests compared with the control. The influence of circulating liquid velocity on bubble size distribution (BSD) and turbulence characteristics of an external loop airlift reactor was studied in this paper. The instantaneous and time‐averaged velocity in the riser were studied using particle image velocimetry (PIV), and BSDs were measured by digital image analysis technique based on machine learning. Then turbulence kinetic energy (TKE) and energy dissipation rate (EDR) were calculated through the velocity field. The results indicate that as the circulating liquid velocity increased, the peak value of BSD rapidly decreased from nearly 6 mm to approximately 2 mm. The radial velocity of the liquid gradually decreased and changed direction, eventually increasing again. TKE first decreased and then increased. Compared with bubble flow with a BSD peak of 2–6 mm, bubble flow with a BSD peak of 2 mm had larger TKE. The radial movement of bubbles had great influence on the turbulence characteristics. This study demonstrates that selecting an appropriate circulating liquid velocity can reduce the diameter of bubbles while obtaining greater TKE, thereby improving the mass transfer and reaction efficiency in external loop airlift reactors (EL‐ALR). Background: This study aimed to assess the effect of adjuvant therapy with different durations in patients with initially unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC) after conversion surgery. Methods: This study included 85 patients with initially uHCC who received conversion surgery between May 2019 and November 2022. They were divided into the long duration group (n = 57) and short duration group (n = 28) based on postoperative medication duration. Recurrence-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) were analyzed and compared between the cohorts. Results: No significant difference in RFS or OS was found between the two groups [RFS: hazard ratio (HR) = 0.486; 95% confidence interval (CI), 0.229– 1.034, P = 0.061; OS: HR = 0.377; 95% CI, 0.119– 1.196, P = 0.098]. Patients without major pathologic response (MPR) in the long duration group had better RFS and OS results compared to those in the short duration group (RFS: HR = 0.242; 95% CI, 0.092– 0.634, P = 0.004; OS: HR = 0.264; 95% CI, 0.079– 0.882, P = 0.031). No significant difference was detected in RFS or OS between the two groups in patients with MPR (RFS: HR = 1.250; 95% CI, 0.373– 4.183, P = 0.718; OS: HR = 7.389; 95% CI, 0.147– 372.4, P = 0.317). After propensity score matching, 25 pairs of patients were selected and the results remained consistent. Conclusion: At least 6 months of adjuvant therapy may be beneficial for patients without MPR after conversion surgery. However, in patients with MPR, the effect of adjuvant therapy remains unclear. With the rapid development of ecological agriculture and organic products, there is an urgent need to reduce the use of fertilizers and pesticides by producing bio-nursery substrates containing multifunctional microbial communities. In this study, beneficial Pseudomonas strains were screened from the rhizosphere of muskmelon (Cucumis melo L.) pre-inoculated with Bacillus velezensis R1-3. The ability of the strain to dissolve phosphorus and produce indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), the effect of the strain on seed germination rate, and the antagonism with R1-3 were determined. Four strains of beneficial Pseudomonas strains that had no antagonistic effect against R1-3 were obtained and formed a Bacillus–Pseudomonas community. The seedling effect of biological substrates containing the Bacillus–Pseudomonas community was evaluated using a seedling pot experiment and a pot experiment. The results showed that the phosphorus solubilization range of all Pseudomonas strains was 86.32–459.48 mg L−1 and the IAA production range was 2.98–11.86 mg L−1. There was a significant negative correlation between the amount of phosphorus dissolved in the fermentation solution and pH. Combined with the results of the seed germination rate and antagonism test, the strains R1-3 + HY-S7, R1-3 + HY-S25, R1-3 + HY-S36, and R1-3 + HY-S70 were selected for the seedling pot experiment and the pot experiment. The results of the two-season seedling culture and two-season pot experiments showed that the bio-nursery substrates containing the bacterial community R1-3 + HY-S70 significantly promoted the growth of muskmelon seedlings, improved plant height, maximum leaf length, and fresh weight, and were significantly better than single bacterial and control treatments at increasing plant height and fresh weight. Finally, the bacterial community R1-3 + HY-S70 was established as the optimal combination for developing biological seedling substrates. Tea plants are a perennial crop with significant economic value. Chlorophyll, a key factor in tea leaf color and photosynthetic efficiency, is affected by the photoperiod and usually exhibits diurnal and seasonal variations. In this study, high-throughput transcriptomic analysis was used to study the chlorophyll metabolism, under different photoperiods, of tea plants. We conducted a time-series sampling under a skeleton photoperiod (6L6D) and continuous light conditions (24 L), measuring the chlorophyll and carotenoid content at a photoperiod interval of 3 h (24 h). Transcriptome sequencing was performed at six time points across two light cycles, followed by bioinformatics analysis to identify and annotate the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) involved in chlorophyll metabolism. The results revealed distinct expression patterns of key genes in the chlorophyll biosynthetic pathway. The expression levels of CHLE (magnesium-protoporphyrin IX monomethyl ester cyclase gene), CHLP (geranylgeranyl reductase gene), CLH (chlorophyllase gene), and POR (cytochrome P450 oxidoreductase gene), encoding enzymes in chlorophyll synthesis, were increased under continuous light conditions (24 L). At 6L6D, the expression levels of CHLP1.1, POR1.1, and POR1.2 showed an oscillating trend. The expression levels of CHLP1.2 and CLH1.1 showed the same trend, they both decreased under light treatment and increased under dark treatment. In this study, we discovered the mechanisms underlying parecoxib and resveratrol combination's anti-cancer characteristics against human colorectal cancer DLD-1 cells. We studied its anti-proliferation and apoptosis-provoking effect by utilizing cell viability 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay, fluorescence microscope, gene overexpression, Western blot, and flow cytometry analyses. Parecoxib enhanced the ability of resveratrol to inhibit cell viability and increase apoptosis. Parecoxib in combination with resveratrol strongly enhanced apoptosis by inhibiting the expression of thioredoxin domain containing 5 (TXNDC5) and Akt phosphorylation. Parecoxib enhanced resveratrol-provoked c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) and p38 phosphorylation. Overexpression of TXNDC5 and repression of JNK and p38 pathways significantly reversed the inhibition of cell viability and stimulation of apoptosis by the parecoxib/resveratrol combination. This study presents evidence that parecoxib enhances the anti-cancer power of resveratrol in DLD-1 colorectal cancer cells via the inhibition of TXNDC5 and Akt signaling and enhancement of JNK/p38 MAPK pathways. Hysteretic quantile autoregressive model combines the hysteretic patterns and quantile autoregression, which can capture the dynamic relationship and nonlinear characteristics at different quantiles in time series data. In this paper, the Bayesian quantile inference and order shrinkage are studied for a class of hysteretic quantile autoregressive time series models. Objective: To explore the effect of acupotomy intervention on autophagy of chondrocytes in rabbits with knee osteoarthritis (KOA), and to determine the possible mechanisms of acupotomy to alleviate cartilage degeneration. Methods: The modified Videman method was used to construct a KOA rabbit model. After modeling, 40 rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups by a random number table: control; KOA (model); KOA + acupotomy (acupotomy), and KOA + sham acupotomy (sham), 10 in each group. After a 3-week treatment course, the knee joint activity was determined by the modified Lequesne MG index. Hematoxylin-eosin staining staining was used to examine the morphological changes of chondrocytes. Autophagy of chondrocytes was observed by transmission electron microscopy. The surface morphology of cartilage tissue was observed by scanning electron microscope. The mRNA and protein levels of AMP kinase/mammalian target of rapamycin/Unc-51 (AMPK/mTOR/ULK1) signal pathway key proteins, autophagy-related factor Beclin-1 and microtubule-associated protein 1A/1B light chain 3 (LC3) in rabbit knee cartilage were assessed by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction and Western blot, respectively. Results: The modified Lequesne MG score of acupotomy group was significantly lower than that of model group (P<0.05). Pathological results showed that chondrocyte autophagy decreased and cartilage surface was rough in the model group, which recovered after acupotomy treatment. The mRNA expressions of AMPK, ULK1, Beclin-1 and the protein levels of p-AMPK, p-ULK1, Beclin-1, and LC3 II/LC3 I were decreased in the model group, while the mRNA and protein expressions of mTOR were increased (P<0.01). However, acupotomy treatment reversed these abnormal changes (P<0.05). Conclusions: Acupotomy could effectively up-regulate the expressions of AMPK, ULK1 and Beclin1, reduce the expression of mTOR, promote autophagy, and alleviate joint degeneration. Perovskite solar cells have emerged as a promising technology for renewable energy generation. However, the successful integration of perovskite solar cells with energy storage devices to establish high‐efficiency and long‐term stable photorechargeable systems remains a persistent challenge. Issues such as electrical mismatch and restricted integration levels contribute to elevated internal resistance, leading to suboptimal overall efficiency (ηoverall) within photorechargeable systems. Additionally, the compatibility of perovskite solar cells with electrolytes from energy storage devices poses another significant concern regarding their stability. To address these limitations, we demonstrate a highly integrated photorechargeable system that combines perovskite solar cells with a solid‐state zinc‐ion hybrid capacitor using a streamlined process. Our study employs a novel ultraviolet‐cured ionogel electrolyte to prevent moisture‐induced degradation of the perovskite layer in integrated photorechargeable system, enabling perovskite solar cells to achieve maximum power conversion efficiencies and facilitating the monolithic design of the system with minimal energy loss. By precisely matching voltages between the two modules and leveraging the superior energy storage efficiency, our integrated photorechargeable system achieves a remarkable ηoverall of 10.01% while maintaining excellent cycling stability. Based on expectancy-value theory, this study adopted a person-centred approach to explore the heterogeneous profiles of secondary German and Taiwanese students' mathematical modelling task values, and examined the differences in their mathematical modelling performance, controlling for the variable of intra-mathematical knowledge among the heterogeneous profiles. Authors conducted a survey study of 452 ninth graders (201 German students and 251 Taiwanese students). The results showed that German and Taiwanese students respectively displayed three profiles of mathematical modelling task values: a) moderate utility and moderate interest/attainment, b) high utility but low interest/attainment, and c) low utility but high interest/attainment. Furthermore, different profiles of mathematical modelling task values showed significant differences in mathematical modelling performance for Taiwanese students but not for German students, even after removing the variable of intra-mathematical knowledge. This study advances the understanding of students' mathematical modelling task values and its relation with their mathematical modelling performance by the expectancy-value model of achievement motivation and person-centred analyses, and sheds light on the learning and teaching of mathematical modelling. Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is a major contributor to cervical cancer. Persistent HPV infection can trigger the expression of IL-32, yet the precise role of IL-32 in the occurrence and development of cervical cancer remains elusive. To investigate this, qRT‒PCR and western blotting were utilized to measure the mRNA and protein expression levels; bioinformatics analysis was used to screen differentially expressed miRNAs; wound healing and transwell assays were conducted to evaluate cell migration and invasion capabilities. Comparative analysis revealed significantly elevated IL-32 expression in cervical cancer tissues and cell lines compared to control groups. In SiHa and/or HeLa, overexpression of IL-32 and IL-32 exposure markedly upregulated miR-205, whereas its knockdown resulted in a substantial downregulation of miR-205. Furthermore, miR-205 also could significantly regulate the expression of IL-32 in HeLa and SiHa cells. Upregulation and downregulation of IL-32 led to a significant increase or decrease in NFκB expression, respectively. Treatment with BAY11-7082 (an NFκB inhibitor) notably decreased miR-205 expression but had no effect on IL-32 levels. qRT‒PCR and western blotting analyses demonstrated that both overexpression and underexpression of IL-32 and miR-205 significantly enhanced or reduced MMP2 and MMP9 expression in cervical cancer cells, respectively. Knockdown of IL-32 significantly inhibited the migration and invasion of HeLa and SiHa; conversely, treatment with rIL-32α and rIL-32γ notably promoted their migration and invasion. The development of efficient and environmentally friendly photocatalysts is crucial for addressing global energy and environmental challenges. Perylene diimide, an organic supramolecular material, holds great potential for applications in mineralized phenol. In this study, through the integration of different mass ratios of unmodified perylenimide (PDI-NH) into the self-assembly of amino acid-substituted perylenimide (PDI-COOH), a novel supramolecular organic heterojunction (PDICOOH/PDINH) was fabricated. The ensuing investigation focuses on its visible-light mineralized phenol properties. The results show that the optimal performance is observed with a composite mass fraction of 10%, leading to complete mineralization of 5 mg/L phenol within 5 h. The reaction exhibits one-stage kinetics with rate constants 13.80 and 1.30 times higher than those of PDI-NH and PDI-COOH, respectively. SEM and TEM reveal a heterogeneous interface between PDI-NH and PDI-COOH. Photoelectrochemical and Kelvin probe characterization confirm the generation of a built-in electric field at the interface, which is 1.73 times stronger than that of PDI-COOH. The introduction of PDI-NH promotes π-π stacking of PDI-COOH, while the built-in electric field facilitates efficient charge transfer at the interface, thereby enhancing phenol decomposition. Purpose: As the depth of underground metal mining increases,the temperature underground continually rises. This study aims to investigate the impact of temperature variations on the flowability of ultrafine tailings backfill slurry, with the goal of optimizing the design and operation of backfill systems. Methods: The effects of temperature changes on slurry flow characteristics were analyzed through rheological experiments and numerical simulations. Additionally,the influence of pipeline diameter and inlet flow rate on the flow characteristics of ultrafine tailings slurry was studied in conjunction with engineering requirements. Surface engineering techniques can be used to develop high-performance gas sensing materials and advance the development of sensors. In this study, we improved the gas sensing performance of two-dimensional (2D) WO3 nanoplates by combining surface Zn modification and the in situ formation of ZnWO4/WO3 heterojunctions. Introducing Zn atoms by surface modification can reconstruct the atomic surface of 2D WO3 nanoplates, creating additional active sites. This allowed for the preparation of various types of ZnWO4/WO3 heterojunctions on the surface of the WO3 nanoplates, which improved the selectivity and sensitivity to the target gas triethylamine. The sensor exhibited good gas sensing performance for triethylamine even at low operating temperatures and strongly resisted humidity changes. The ZnWO4/WO3 material we prepared demonstrated a nearly threefold improvement in the triethylamine (TEA) response, with a gas sensing responsivity of 40.75 for 10 ppm of TEA at 250 °C. The sensor based on ZnWO4/WO3 has a limit of detection (LOD) for TEA of 200 ppb in practical measurements (its theoretical LOD is even as low as 31 ppb). The method of growing ZnWO4 on the surface of WO3 nanoplates using surface modification techniques to form surface heterojunctions differs from ordinary composites. The results suggest that the in situ construction of surface heterojunctions using surface engineering strategies, such as in situ modifying, is a practical approach to enhance the gas sensing properties and resistance to the humidity changes of metal oxide materials. Buckwheat and other grains have become influential in sustainable agriculture and food security owing to climate change. However, subpar storage conditions can result in the deterioration of the nutritional value and active components of buckwheat, making storage quality a significant research subject. This study examined common buckwheat (CB) and Tartary buckwheat (TB) stored at 4 °C, 30 °C, and 55 °C from 0 to 6 months to assess storage quality and its relationship to the preservation of active components. The results of agglomerative hierarchical clustering (AHC) and principal component analysis (PCA) showed that as storage temperature and time increased, both CB and TB exhibited the following differences: significant alterations in color due to an increase in browning index (B.I.), higher acidity from accelerated acid production at high temperatures, and a decrease in total phenolics, flavonoid content, and antioxidant capacity due to thermal degradation of functional components. In the storage quality assessment, no alteration in microstructure or degradation in components was detected after exposure to all times and temperatures, and the content of the primary bioactive compound, rutin, was CB (16.57–27.81 mg/100 g d.w.) and TB (707.70–787.58 mg/100 g d.w.), demonstrating buckwheat's resistance to microbial contamination. Diamond has an ultrawide bandgap with excellent physical properties, such as high critical electric field, excellent thermal conductivity, high carrier mobility, etc. Diamond with a hydrogen-terminated (H-terminated) surface has a negative electron affinity (NEA) and can easily produce surface electrons from valence or trapped electrons via optical absorption, thermal heating energy or carrier transport in a PN junction. The NEA of the H-terminated surface enables surface electrons to emit with high efficiency into the vacuum without encountering additional barriers and promotes further development and application of diamond-based emitting devices. This article reviews the electron emission properties of H-terminated diamond surfaces exhibiting NEA characteristics. The electron emission is induced by different physical mechanisms. Recent advancements in electron-emitting devices based on diamond are also summarized. Background: High expression of ubiquitin ligase MDM2 is a primary cause of p53 inactivation in many tumors, making it a promising therapeutic target. However, MDM2 inhibitors have failed in clinical trials due to p53-induced feedback that enhances MDM2 expression. This underscores the urgent need to find an effective adaptive genotype or combination of targets. Methods: Kinome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 knockout screen was performed to identify genes that modulate the response to MDM2 inhibitor using TP53 wild type cancer cells and found ULK1 as a candidate. The MTT cell viability assay, flow cytometry and LDH assay were conducted to evaluate the activation of pyroptosis and the synthetic lethality effects of combining ULK1 depletion with p53 activation. Dual-luciferase reporter assay and ChIP-qPCR were performed to confirm that p53 directly mediates the transcription of GSDME and to identify the binding region of p53 in the promoter of GSDME. ULK1 knockout / overexpression cells were constructed to investigate the functional role of ULK1 both in vitro and in vivo. The mechanism of ULK1 depletion to activate GSMDE was mainly investigated by qPCR, western blot and ELISA. Results: By using high-throughput screening, we identified ULK1 as a synthetic lethal gene for the MDM2 inhibitor APG115. It was determined that deletion of ULK1 significantly increased the sensitivity, with cells undergoing typical pyroptosis. Mechanistically, p53 promote pyroptosis initiation by directly mediating GSDME transcription that induce basal-level pyroptosis. Moreover, ULK1 depletion reduces mitophagy, resulting in the accumulation of damaged mitochondria and subsequent increasing of reactive oxygen species (ROS). This in turn cleaves and activates GSDME via the NLRP3-Caspase inflammatory signaling axis. The molecular cascade makes ULK1 act as a crucial regulator of pyroptosis initiation mediated by p53 activation cells. Besides, mitophagy is enhanced in platinum-resistant tumors, and ULK1 depletion/p53 activation has a synergistic lethal effect on these tumors, inducing pyroptosis through GSDME directly. Conclusion: Our research demonstrates that ULK1 deficiency can synergize with MDM2 inhibitors to induce pyroptosis. p53 plays a direct role in activating GSDME transcription, while ULK1 deficiency triggers upregulation of the ROS-NLRP3 signaling pathway, leading to GSDME cleavage and activation. These findings underscore the pivotal role of p53 in determining pyroptosis and provide new avenues for the clinical application of p53 restoration therapies, as well as suggesting potential combination strategies. Background: The relationship between periodontitis and cardiovascular disease (CVD) has been extensively studied, but the role of biological aging in this relationship remains poorly understood. This study is dedicated to investigating the effect of periodontitis on the incidence of CVD and to elucidating the potential mediating role of biological aging. Furthermore, this study will seek to elucidate the causal association between periodontitis, CVD, and biological aging. Methods: We included 3269 participants from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2009–2014) with diagnostic information on periodontitis and composite CVD events. Biological aging was evaluated by utilizing both the Klemera–Doubal method's calculated biological age (KDMAge) and phenotypic age (PhenoAge). Logistic regression, restricted cubic spline (RCS) analysis, and subgroup analysis were used for data analysis. Mediation analysis was employed to explore the mediating role of biological aging. Subsequently, Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses were performed using genome-wide association study databases to explore potential causal relationships between periodontitis, CVD, and biological aging. Results: Periodontitis was associated with a higher risk of CVD. Participants with periodontitis were found to have increased levels of biological aging, and elevated levels of biological aging were associated with increased CVD risk. Mediation analyses showed a partial mediating effect of biological aging (PhenoAge: 44.6%; KDMAge: 22.9%) between periodontitis and CVD risk. MR analysis showed that periodontitis played a causal role in increasing the risk of small vessel stroke, while myocardial infarction was found to increase the risk of periodontitis. In addition, reverse MR analysis showed that phenotypic aging can increase the risk of periodontitis, and there is a two-way causal relationship between CVD and biological aging. Conclusions: Periodontitis is associated with an increased CVD risk, partially mediated by biological aging, with a complex causal interrelationship. Background: Ensuring that the scale and hierarchical structure of health human resources are rational, and that medical services are efficient and fair, is an important task of practical significance. On this basis, examining the impact of health human resources on the level of medical services presents a new and formidable challenge. This study aims to delve into how the scale and hierarchical structure of health human resources in China's four major economic regions affect the fairness and efficiency of medical services, and to identify optimization strategies. Methods: This study utilizes provincial panel data from China's four major economic regions spanning the years 2009 to 2021. Initially, it provides a statistical description of the current state of health human resources and the level of medical services. Subsequently, it employs a fixed-effects model to analyze the impact of the scale and hierarchical structure of health human resources, as well as their interactive effects, on the fairness and efficiency of medical services, and discusses the interactive mechanisms between medical service fairness and medical service efficiency. Furthermore, after conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the level of medical services using the entropy weight method, it explores the regional heterogeneity and temporal dynamics in the influence of the scale and hierarchical structure of health human resources on the level of medical services. Finally, the study examines the scientific validity and rationality of the research findings through various robustness checks, including the substitution of research variables and models. Results: The study found that the scale of health human resources has a promoting effect on the equity of medical services (β ≤ 0.643, p ≤ 0.01), but exhibits an inhibitory effect on the efficiency of medical services (β ≥ -0.079, p ≤ 0.1); the hierarchical structure of health human resources shows a positive impact on both the equity and efficiency of medical services (βequity ≤ 0.160, p ≤ 0.01; βefficiency ≤ 0.341, p ≤ 0.05); at the same time, the results indicate that the interactive effect of the scale and hierarchical structure of health human resources promotes equity in medical services (β = 0.067, p ≤ 0.01), but restricts the efficiency of medical services (β ≥ -0.039, p ≤ 0.01); the mechanism by which health human resources affect the level of medical services in China's western and northeastern regions is more pronounced than in the central and eastern regions; after the implementation of the "Healthy China 2030" Planning Outline, the role of health human resources in the level of medical services has been strengthened; in the robustness tests, the model remains robust after replacing the core explanatory variables, with R2 maintained between 0.869 and 0.972, and the dynamic GMM model test shows a significant second-order lag in the level of medical services (βequity ≤ 0.149, p ≤ 0.01; βefficiency ≤ 0.461, p ≤ 0.01); the channel test results prove that managerial personnel and other technical personnel are key pathways in regulating the impact of medical staff on the level of medical services. Highly porous wood-derived electronics have attracted tremendous attention for the fabrication of high-performance supercapacitors (SCs) owing to their environmental benignity, natural abundance, renewability, and biodegradability. However, it is challenging to overcome the intrinsic rigidity and sluggish electrochemical reaction kinetics of wood-based SCs at low temperatures. Herein, we demonstrate an anti-freezing flexible SC (AF-FSC) based on delignified wood electrodes with an organohydrogen electrolyte. The chemical delignification process removes hemicellulose and lignin from natural wood, resulting in a softwood skeleton electrode. When assembled with a solid hydrogel electrolyte, the AF-FSC exhibits high mechanical flexibility over 93% capacitance retention after 1000 bending/twisting cycles at −30 °C. Besides, high areal capacitance (285.2 mF cm−2) at −30 °C is achieved, which is higher than most wood derivatives operating at room temperature. End-stage kidney disease (ESKD) presents a significant public health challenge, with hemodialysis (HD) remaining one of the most prevalent kidney replacement therapies. Ensuring the longevity and functionality of arteriovenous accesses is challenging for HD patients. Blood flow sound, which contains valuable information, has often been neglected in the past. However, machine learning offers a new approach, leveraging data non-invasively and learning autonomously to match the experience of healthcare professionas. This study aimed to devise a model for detecting arteriovenous grafts (AVGs) stenosis. A smartphone stethoscope was used to record the sound of AVG blood flow at the arterial and venous sides, with each recording lasting one minute. The sound recordings were transformed into mel spectrograms, and a 14-layer convolutional neural network (CNN) was employed to detect stenosis. The CNN comprised six convolution blocks with 3x3 kernel mapping, batch normalization, and rectified linear unit activation function. We applied contrastive learning to train the pre-training audio neural networks model with unlabeled data through self-supervised learning, followed by fine-tuning. In total, 27,406 dialysis session blood flow sounds were documented, including 180 stenosis blood flow sounds. Our proposed framework demonstrated a significant improvement (p<0.05) over training from scratch and a popular pre-trained audio neural networks (PANNs) model, achieving an accuracy of 0.9279, precision of 0.8462, and recall of 0.8077, compared to previous values of 0.8649, 0.7391, and 0.6538. Topology optimization focuses on the conceptual design of structures, characterized by a large optimization space and a significant impact on structural performance, and has been widely applied in industrial fields such as aviation and aerospace. However, most topology optimization methods prioritize structural stiffness and often overlook stress levels, which are critical factors in engineering design. In recent years, explicit topology optimization methods have been extensively developed due to their ability to produce clear boundaries and their compatibility with CAD/CAE systems. Nevertheless, research on incorporating stress constraints within the explicit topology optimization framework remains scarce. This paper is dedicated to investigating stress constraints within the explicit topology optimization framework. Due to the clear boundaries and absence of intermediate density elements in the explicit topology optimization framework, this approach avoids the challenge of stress calculation for intermediate density elements encountered in the traditional density method. This provides a natural advantage in solving topology optimization problems considering stress constraints, resulting in more accurate stress calculations. Compared with existing approaches, this paper proposes a novel component topology description function that enhances the deformability of components, improving the representation of geometric boundaries. The lower-bound Kreisselmeier–Steinhauser aggregation function is employed to manage the stress constraint, reducing the solution scale and computational burden. Constructing a dual-functional reaction platform combining photocatalytic hydrogen evolution and selective organic synthesis is an effective approach for utilizing both photogenerated electrons and holes to obtain clean, renewable fuels and high-value chemicals. Herein, we synthesized a composite photocatalyst of nickel phosphide (Ni2P) and graphene (GR) dual cocatalyst modified zinc indium sulfide (ZnIn2S4) for efficient photocatalytic oxidation of benzyl alcohol (BA) coupled with hydrogen production. In this dual co-catalyst system, GR as an electron relay station can accelerate electron transfer, and Ni2P can facilitate the separation of photogenerated carriers in the composite while providing the active site for proton reduction. As a result, the ZnIn2S4–GR–Ni2P composite exhibited significantly higher activity in the photocatalytic oxidation of benzyl alcohol (BA) coupled with hydrogen production than blank ZnIn2S4, ZnIn2S4–GR, and ZnIn2S4–Ni2P. This study proposes a new method of combining dual cocatalysts with semiconductor photocatalysts to simultaneously utilize photo-induced electrons and holes for synergistic coupling of photocatalytic organic synthesis and hydrogen production. Variable reluctance planar motors, induction planar motors, permanent-magnet synchronous planar motors and DC planar motors are discussed in this paper along with their working principles and current research status. The theory of planar motors remains incomplete and immature despite the extensive research conducted by scholars and research institutions on crucial aspects like magnetic field analysis and electromagnetic force calculations. The objective of this paper is to provide a comprehensive review of the research and development status of planar motors in order to positively impact future advancements in this field. Electrochemical reactions via carbocation intermediates remain fundamental transformations that build up molecular functionality and complexity in a sustainable manner. Enantioselective control of such processes is a great challenge in a highly ionic electrolyte solution. Here, we report an anodic generation of chiral α-imino carbocation intermediates by enamine catalysis. The chiral carbocation intermediates can be intercepted by a variety of nucleophiles such as alcohols, water and thiols with high stereoselectivity. The key SN1 step proceeds via a tertiary amine-mediated proton shuttle that facilitates facial selection in reacting with carbocation. Carbocations are useful synthetic intermediates which enable direct functionalization of carbon centers, but their generation in a manner that uses mild conditions and enables stereoselective interception remains a longstanding goal of organic chemists. Objective: To investigate the differential expression genes (DEGs) in spinal tuberculosis using transcriptomics, with the aim of identifying novel therapeutic targets and prognostic indicators for the clinical management of spinal tuberculosis. Methods: Patients who visited the Department of Orthopedics at the Second Hospital, Lanzhou University from January 2021 to May 2023 were enrolled. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, there were 5 patients in the test group and 5 patients in the control group. Total RNA was extracted and paired-end sequencing was conducted on the sequencing platform. After processing the sequencing data with clean reads and annotating the reference genome, FPKM normalization and differential expression analysis were performed. The DEGs and long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) were analyzed for Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) and Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment. The cis-regulation of differentially expressed mRNAs (DE mRNAs) by LncRNAs was predicted and analyzed to establish a co-expression network. Results: This study identified 2366 DEGs, with 974 genes significantly upregulated and 1392 genes significantly downregulated. The upregulated genes are associated with cytokine-cytokine receptor interactions, tuberculosis, and TNF-α signaling pathways, primarily enriched in biological processes such as immunity and inflammation. The downregulated genes are related to muscle development, contraction, fungal defense response, and collagen metabolism processes. Analysis of LncRNAs from bone tuberculosis RNA-seq data detected a total of 3652 LncRNAs, with 356 significantly upregulated and 184 significantly downregulated. Further analysis identified 311 significantly different LncRNAs that could cis-regulate 777 target genes, enriched in pathways such as muscle contraction, inflammatory response, and immune response, closely related to bone tuberculosis. There are 51 genes enriched in the immune response pathway regulated by cis-acting LncRNAs. LncRNAs that regulate immune response-related genes, such as upregulated RP11-451G4.2, RP11-701P16.5, AC079767.4, AC017002.1, LINC01094, CTA-384D8.35, and AC092484.1, as well as downregulated RP11-2C24.7, may serve as potential prognostic and therapeutic targets. Conclusion: The DE mRNAs and LncRNAs in spinal tuberculosis are both associated with immune regulatory pathways. These pathways promote or inhibit the tuberculosis infection and development at the mechanistic level and play an important role in the process of tuberculosis transferring to bone tissue. Excessive alternating current (AC) arcs generated in electric systems will accumulate heat and easily cause fire. This paper studies the thermal characteristics of different numbers of AC arc plasma generated in a short gap of copper-cored wires in the air. The number of AC arcs is controlled in the AC arc experiment and an infrared thermal imager measures the temperature change at the specified position. Based on magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), a two-dimensional axisymmetric AC arc discharge numerical simulation model is established. The volt-ampere characteristic of the AC arc is used to solve the MHD simulation model to obtain the same 'zero current' characteristics as the real AC arc in the experiment. A large amount of heat accumulates in the electrode gaps when the arc generation, and then the heat dissipates in the 'zero current' stage. The continuously generated arc makes the temperature higher. The volume of the space area with a temperature higher than 10,000 K increases with the arc current, but is unrelated to the number of arcs. The volume of the space area with a temperature higher than 524.15 K and the temperature on the electrode are both positively correlated with the number of AC arcs and arc current. The heat storage capacity of Southern Ocean (SO) buffers future atmospheric warming but differs vastly across climate models. Reducing its projection uncertainty is vital for understanding and evaluating future global sustainability. Using Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6, we show that the present-day SO high-latitude easterly wind anomalies induced by El Niño is an effective constraint for the projected increase in SO heat content. Models simulating weaker El Niño-induced easterlies generate more equatorward atmospheric teleconnection in the present day. Under global warming, these models have greater capacity in the poleward shift of atmospheric circulation, thus generate stronger future increase in El Niño-induced high-latitude easterlies, slowing the SO heat storage by weakening the northward Ekman transport that underpins the dynamical process for SO heat storage. However, most models overestimate the present-day El Niño-induced easterlies, implying that alleviating this bias would reduce future SO heat storage, thus exacerbating atmospheric warming. To explore the mechanism and active components of the anti-colitis effects of myrrh essential oil (MEO). Methods: In this study, we investigated the anti-inflammatory effects and molecular mechanisms of MEO on dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis with in vitro cell experiments, RNA-seq (RNA Sequencing), Weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA), combined with "weighting coefficient" network pharmacology, as and in vivo pharmacodynamic experiments. A 3% DSS solution was used to induce colitis in BALB/c mice and MEO was administered orally. We performed gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis of the MEO components. The disease activity index (DAI) was evaluated by observing body weight, fecal characteristics, and blood in the stool of mice. The levels of inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α and IL-1β) in mouse serum were measured using ELISA (Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) kits. Additionally, the expression of MAPK-related proteins (JNK, p-JNK, ERK, and p-ERK) in mouse colonic tissues was detected by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. Results: MEO (0.0625– 0.125μg/g, p.o). significantly inhibited the expression of the inflammatory mediator Nitric oxide (NO) in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW264.7 macrophages. After treatment, there was a significant increase in body weight and alleviation of diarrhea and bloody stools in colitis mice. It also reduced inflammatory cell infiltration. Furthermore, it decreased the serum levels of TNF-α and IL-1β, and reduced the activity of p-JNK and p-ERK in the MAPK pathway. Conclusion: MEO relieved DSS-induced colitis by modulating the MAPK pathway. The experimental results indicate that the MAPK pathway might be inhibited by the synergistic effect of gamma-Muurolene, Curzerene, beta-Elemene, and Furanoeudesma 1.3-diene in MEO, which provides a novel idea for subsequent research and development of new anti-colitis drugs. Currently, the use of deep learning technologies for detecting defects in transmission line insulators based on images obtained through unmanned aerial vehicle inspection simultaneously presents the problems of insufficient detection accuracy and speed. Therefore, this study first introduced the bidirectional feature pyramid network (BiFPN) module into YOLOv5 to achieve high detection speed as well as enable the combination of image features at different scales, enhance information representation, and allow accurate detection of insulator defect at different scales. Subsequently, the BiFPN module and simple parameter-free attention module (SimAM) were combined to improve the feature representation ability and object detection accuracy. The SimAM also enabled fusion of features at multiple scales, further improving the insulator defect detection performance. Finally, multiple experimental controls were designed to verify the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed model. The experimental results obtained using self-made datasets show that the combined BiFPN and SimAM model (i.e., the improved BaS-YOLOv5 model) performs better than the original YOLOv5 model; the precision, recall, average precision and F1 score increased by 6.2%, 5%, 5.9%, and 6%, respectively. Therefore, BaS-YOLOv5 substantially improves detection accuracy while maintaining a high detection speed, meeting the requirements for real-time insulator defect detection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Ball bearings operating at low speeds and under heavy loads are susceptible to wear failure, leading to significant economic losses. The existing reliability-based robust design optimization method of the fourth-moment method has high accuracy and does not need to determine the random distribution of the input variables, but it is not possible to apply it to ball bearing wear due to the complexity of the bearing wear state function that cannot be characterized as an explicit form. To address this issue, this paper proposes a novel design method for ball bearing wear. Firstly, a surrogate model is constructed using the Kriging model method to establish a relationship between the bearing design parameters and the mechanical response. Subsequently, a wear reliability model is developed on the basis of the fourth-moment method, and reliability sensitivity analysis is conducted. Finally, the ball bearing wear reliability-based robust design optimization is accomplished through the use of a genetic algorithm. The results of the case calculations demonstrate that the proposed method effectively calculates the ball bearing wear reliability and analyzes the impact of design parameter randomness on reliability.
