Climate data derived from long-term, multisource altimeter significant wave height (SWH) measurements are more valuable than those obtained from a single altimeter source. Such data facilitate exploration of long-term air–sea momentum transfer and more comprehensive investigation of weather system dynamics processes over the ocean. Despite the deployment of the first satellite in the Chinese Haiyang-2 (HY-2) series more than 12 years ago, validation and integration of SWH data from China's offshore waters, derived using Chinese altimeters, have been limited. This study constructed a high-resolution, long-term, multisource gridded SWH climate dataset using along-track data from the HY-2 series, CFOSAT, Jason-2, Jason-3, and Cryosat-2 altimeters. Validation against observations from 31 buoys covering China's offshore waters indicated that the SWH variances from HY-2A, HY-2B, HY-2C, CFOSAT, and Jason-3 altimeters correlated well with observations, with a temporal correlation coefficient of approximately 0.95 (except HY-2A, correlation: 0.89). These SWH measurements generally showed a robust linear relationship with the buoy data. Additionally, cross-calibration between Jason-3 and the HY-2A, HY-2B, HY-2C, and CFOSAT altimeters also demonstrated a typically linear relationship for SWH > 6.0 m. Using this relationship, the SWH data were linearly corrected and integrated into a 10 d mean, long-term, multisource altimeter gridded SWH dataset. Compared with in situ observations, the merged 10 d mean SWHs are more accurate and closely match the observations, with temporal correlation coefficients improving from 0.87 to 0.90 and bias decreasing from 0.28 to 0.03 m. The merged gridded SWHs effectively represent the local spatial distribution of SWH. This study revealed the importance of observational data in the process of merging and recalibrating long-term multisource altimeter SWH datasets, particularly before their application in specific ocean regions. This article reconstructs the place of 'self-determination' and its conjunct, 'minorities' rights,' as legal languages in the history of Iraq from the British occupation until its League of Nations-supervised independence in 1932. While historians understand the development of the Arab-led mandatory regime and its relationship to international, League-mediated politics, the potential for the politics of 'self-determination' to have created radically different geopolitical outcomes, particularly in the northern, heterogeneous province of Mosul, has only recently been acknowledged. Rather than treat self-determination as an analytical category, this article begins from the perspective of the concept's novelty in the Middle East in 1918. State-building in Iraq through independence, I argue, depended on manipulating the doctrinal slippages between 'self-determination' and 'minorities' rights' as much as it did on institutional processes. Through the emergence of the mandatory regime and in two critical League Council decisions – the Mosul territorial arbitration of 1925 and Iraqi independence proceedings in 1932 – the nascent Arab state, the British Empire, and the inhabitants of Mosul contested the meaning of self-determination. Their arguments had far-reaching implications, some unintended, for the shape of inter-war international politics and constitute an important – and earlier – episode in the interplay between decolonisation and the centring of the nation-state in international law in the twentieth century. For airborne radar, detecting a low–slow–small (LSS) target is a hot and challenging topic, which results from the rapidly increasing number of non-cooperative flying LSS targets becoming of widespread concern, and the low signal-to-clutter ratio (SCR) of LSS targets results in the targets being particularly easily overwhelmed by the clutter. In this paper, a novel light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM)-based LSS target detection algorithm for airborne radar is proposed. The proposed method, based on the current real-time clutter environment of the range cell to be detected, firstly designs a specific real-time space-time LSS target signal repository with special dimensions and structures. Then, the proposed method creatively designs a new fast-built real-time training feature dataset specifically for the LSS target and the current clutter, together with a series of unique data transformations, sample selection, data restructuring, feature extraction, and feature processing. Finally, the proposed method develops a unique machine learning-based LSS target detection classifier model for the designed training dataset, by fully excavating and utilizing the advantages of the ensemble decision trees-based LightGBM. Consequently, the pre-processed data in the range cell of interest are classified using the proposed algorithm, which achieves LSS target detection by evaluating the output results of the designed classifier. Compared with the traditional classical target detection methods, the proposed algorithm is capable of providing markedly superior performance for LSS target detection. With an appropriate computational time, the proposed algorithm attains the highest probability of detecting LSS targets under the low SCR. During the operation of non-clogging pumps, the flexible long fiber is prone to clogging and winding during the flow process, which can result in damage to the non-clogging pump, so a numerical simulation method of a solid–liquid two-phase flow in a non-clogging pump with a flexible long fiber is proposed in this paper. The unsteady numerical simulation of the two-phase flow of a single flexible fiber with different densities, lengths and diameters in a double-blade non-clogging pump was carried out to study the influence of fiber parameters on fiber transport capability. The results show that at a density of 920 kg/m3, 300 kg/m3 and 732 kg/m3, the transport capability of flexible fibers decreases successively, and the transport time T0 is 0.32 s, 0.36 s and 0.48 s, respectively. The transport capability of flexible fibers with a length of 150 mm, 200 mm and 250 mm decreases successively, and the transport time T0 is 0.34 s, 0.48 s and 0.96 s, respectively. The transport time T0 is 0.48 s when the fiber diameter dp is 5 mm. When the fiber diameter dp is 7.5 mm, the transport time T0 is 0.51 s. When the fiber diameter dp is 10 mm, the fiber transport capability of the non-clogging pump decreased significantly, and the transport time T0 is 0.68 s. It is still a great challenge to prepare high‐performance graphene/polymer nanocomposites by fully utilizing the large surface area, high tensile strength, and high thermal stability. Herein, a simple but efficient approach based on ball milling was developed to in situ exfoliate graphite into single‐layer graphene and simultaneously deposit them onto polyvinyl chloride (PVC) surface. Graphene/PVC nanocomposites were prepared via the plasticized molding and followed by hot pressing. Resulting from incorporation of highly exfoliated and evenly distributed graphene nanosheets, the obtained graphene/PVC nanocomposites displayed a significantly enhanced thermal stability. In contrast with neat PVC, the temperature of maximum weight loss (Tmax), glass transition temperature (Tg), and residual content of composite with 2.0 wt% graphene were increased by 10, 13°C, and 4.4%, respectively. Based on the deep analysis on heat releasing behavior and structure of residue, we proposed the related enhancing mechanism. Large‐area and highly exfoliated graphene sheets effectively inhibited the heat/mass transfer in composite system and prevented the degradation of PVC, as well as promoted the compact residue formation from polymer itself at high temperatures. In short, this work provided an environmentally friendly strategy to prepare high‐performance graphene/polymer nanocomposites with using low additive amount of single‐layer graphene. Lightweight and low-cost one-dimensional carbon materials, especially biomass carbon fibers with multiple porous structures, have received wide attention in the field of electromagnetic wave absorption. In this paper, graphene-coated N-doped porous carbon nanofibers (PCNF) with excellent wave absorption properties were successfully synthesized via electrostatic spinning, electrostatic self-assembly, and high-temperature carbonization. The obtained results showed that the minimum reflection loss of the absorbing carbon fiber obtained under the carbonization condition of 800 °C is −51.047 dB, and the absorption bandwidth of reflection loss below −20 dB is 10.16 GHz. This work shows that carbonization temperature and filler content have a certain effect on the wave-absorbing properties of fiber, graphene with nanofiber, and the design and preparation of high-performance absorbing materials by combining the characteristics of graphene and nanofibers and multi-component coupling to provide new ideas for the research of absorbing materials. Non-side-looking airborne radar provides important applications on account of its all-round multi-angle airspace coverage. However, it suffers clutter range dependence that makes the samples fail to satisfy the condition of being independent and identically distributed (IID), and it severely degrades traditional approaches to clutter suppression and target detection. In this paper, a novel reweighted extreme learning machine (ELM)-based clutter suppression and range compensation algorithm is proposed for non-side-looking airborne radar. The proposed method involves first designing the pre-processing stage, the special reweighted complex-valued activation function containing an unknown range compensation matrix, and two new objective outputs for constructing an initial reweighted ELM-based network with its training. Then, two other objective outputs, a new loss function, and a reverse feedback framework driven by the specifically designed objectives are proposed for the unknown range compensation matrix. Finally, aiming to estimate and reconstruct the unknown compensation matrix, special processes of the complex-valued structures and the theoretical derivations are designed and analyzed in detail. Consequently, with the updated and compensated samples, further processing including space–time adaptive processing (STAP) can be performed for clutter suppression and target detection. Compared with the classic relevant methods, the proposed algorithm achieves significantly superior performance with reasonable computation time. It provides an obviously higher detection probability and better improvement factor (IF). The simulation results verify that the proposed algorithm is effective and has many advantages. The Pulang super-large porphyry Cu polymetallic deposit, located in the Sanjiang area of Yunnan Province, is one of the largest Cu deposits in China. This deposit hosts Cu resources of ~5 × 106 t and other ore-forming elements, such as Mo, Au, Ag, Pb, Zn, Pt and Pd. Recently, obvious hydrothermal vein-type Pb–Zn mineralization, with a Pb + Zn resource of ~0.4 × 106 t, has been detected in the North Ore Section of the deposit. However, the genesis of these Pb–Zn ore bodies, especially their relationship to the major Cu ore bodies in the South Ore Section, remains controversial. We conducted geologic description, fluid inclusion petrography and microthermometry, and C, H, O and S isotope studies to uncover the genesis of Pb–Zn vein-type mineralization in North Pulang. As a result, three types of Pb–Zn veins were identified: a quartz–pyrrhotite–chalcopyrite–sphalerite–galena vein, a quartz–pyrrhotite–sphalerite–galena vein, and a calcite–quartz–pyrrhotite–galena vein. All fluid inclusions in the quartz from different veins are liquid-rich inclusions, with homogenization temperatures in the range of 184 °C–235 °C and salinities between 10.4 wt.% and 17.8 wt.% NaCl eq., indicating that the Pb–Zn ore-forming fluid was a single-phase fluid with a low temperature and low-to-medium salinity. Hydrothermal quartz in different stages displays δDwater values ranging from −46.9‰ to −120.0‰ (V-SMOW), and the calculated δ18Owater values range from 2.4‰ to 4.3‰ (V-SMOW), implying that the mineralization fluids likely originated from magma, with a minor involvement of meteoric water. The δ13CCal values (−2.3‰ to −7.9‰ V-PDB) of calcite indicate that C likely originated from a deep-seated source. The δ34S values of chalcopyrite, pyrite, pyrrhotite and sphalerite reveal that S was possibly derived from magmatic rocks. Based on the above data, it is suggested that the Pb–Zn mineralization in North Pulang was the result of the northward migration of ore-forming fluids that originated from South Pulang along the NE-trending structural fractures. A strong water–rock interaction occurred during the migration process. Introduction: Previous RC48 (Disitamab Vedotin) studies established that the safety and efficacy of RC48‐antibody–drug conjugate (ADC), either alone or combined with toripalimab, for metastatic urothelial carcinoma (mUC) patients exhibiting human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)‐positive or even HER2‐negative status after standard chemotherapy failure. Methods: With locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma (la/mUC), patients who received RC48‐ADC monotherapy or a combination with programmed cell death protein 1 (PD‐1) inhibitors between August 2021 and October 2022 were enrolled in this retrospective observational study to evaluate the real‐world antitumor effectiveness and safety. Results: Among the 38 enrolled patients (29 males; median age 67.5 years [38–93]), 8 received RC48‐ADC monotherapy, while 30 received combination therapy. Initially, 63.2% (24/38) of the patients had received ≥1 line of prior treatment, and 63.2% (24/38) had visceral metastasis. UC of the bladder represented the majority type in 68.4% (26/38) of cases. By the data cutoff in March 2023, the overall objective response rate (ORR) was 63.2% (95% CI, 47.1%–79.2%), with a disease control rate (DCR) of 89.5% (95% CI, 79.3%–99.7%). Median follow‐up time was 10.6 months. The median progression‐free survival (PFS) was 8.2 months (95% CI, 5.9–10.5), with a 6‐month PFS rate of 63.2% and a 12‐month PFS rate of 34.1%. Median overall survival (OS) was not reached, with a 12‐month OS rate of 76.7%. The median duration of response was 7.3 months (95% CI, 4.6–10.0) among 24 patients evaluated as partial response (PR). The most common treatment‐related adverse events (TRAEs) included anemia (71.1%), anorexia (57.9%), asthenia (52.6%), hypoesthesia (52.6%), bone marrow suppression (47.4%), alopecia (47.4%), nausea (44.7%), proteinuria (36.8%), vomiting (34.2%), and hypoalbuminemia (31.6%). No patient experienced TRAEs of Grade ≥3. One patient had an immune‐related adverse event (irAE) of rash related to toripalimab. Conclusions: Both as monotherapy and in combination with PD‐1 inhibitors, RC48‐ADC exhibits promising effectiveness and manageable safety profile for mUC patients in real‐world settings. Background: Female mosquitoes need a blood meal after mating for their eggs to develop, and this behavior leads to the spread of pathogens. Therefore, understanding the molecular regulation of reproduction in female mosquitoes is essential to control mosquito vector populations. In this study, we reported that microRNA-989 (miR-989), which targets 5-HTR1 (encoding secreted 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor1), is essential for mosquito reproduction. Methods: The spatiotemporal expression profile of miR-989 was detected using quantitative real-time reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR). miR-989 antagomirs and antagomir-negative control (NC) were designed and synthesized to knock down the expression of endogenous miR-989 in female mosquitoes. RNA sequencing was used to analyze the ovarian response to miR-989 deletion. The targets of miR-989 were predicted and confirmed using RNAhybrid and dual-luciferase assays. Results: miR-989 is exclusively expressed in female mosquito ovaries and responds to blood feeding. Injection of the miR-989 antagomir resulted in smaller ovaries and reduced egg production. 5-HTR1 was demonstrated as a target of miR-989. The deletion of miR-989 contributed to the upregulation of 5-HTR1 expression. Knockdown of 5-HTR1 rescued the adverse egg production caused by miR-989 silencing. Thus, miR-989 might play an essential role in female reproduction by targeting 5-HTR1. Conclusions: We found that miR-989 targets 5-HTR1 and participates in the regulation of reproduction in female mosquitoes. Background: Current mosquito‐borne disease vector control strategies, largely based on chemical insecticides, are seriously threatened by increasing resistance worldwide. There is also growing concerned about the adverse effects of insecticides on nontarget organisms and the environment, therefore effective and ecologically friendly alternative approaches are urgently needed. Targeting critical steps of reproduction is considered a potential way to control mosquito populations. Herein, we focused on the roles of chitin synthase A (encoded by chsa) in the reproduction of female mosquitoes. Results: The injection of small interfering RNA targeting Cpchsa in female Culex pipiens pallens (Diptera: Culicidae) had antireproductive effects, including decreased follicle numbers, egg‐laying, and hatching rate. Scanning electron microscopy observations showed that Cpchsa silencing caused a defective egg envelope, including absence of the vitelline membrane and cracked chorion layers, which resulted in abnormal permeability. Widely distributed nurse cell apoptosis and follicular epithelial cell autophagy were observed in Cpchsa‐silenced ovaries during the vitellogenesis phase. Consistent with the detective egg envelope formation during oogenesis, the exochorionic eggshell structures were also affected in eggs deposited by Cpchsa‐silenced mosquitoes. In cone penetration test (CPT) based on submarine drilling rigs, encountering harder soil layers requires drill-bit rotation. During this process, the flow noise generated by seawater flushing the drill bit propagates along the drill pipe with the detection signal, leading to signal distortion. To improve the accuracy of the received signal and mitigate the impact of flow noise on CPT results, numerical simulation software (Fluent 18.0) was employed to investigate the flow-noise characteristics within the drill-bit borehole during seawater flushing. The effects of key parameters on flow noise are analyzed, and structural optimization to reduce flow noise is conducted. The findings reveal that the noise in the drill-bit flow channel increases as the inlet flow velocity increases. When the flow velocity increases from 10 to 20 m/s, the maximum noise value increases by nearly 30 dB. Similarly, as the rotational speed of the drill pipe increases from 500 to 1500 rpm, the maximum noise value increases three-fold. Furthermore, increasing the inclination angle of the guide hole appropriately reduces the fluid noise in the drill-bit flow channel. For instance, increasing the inclination angle from 0 to 30° reduces the maximum noise by 18.75%. It is important to note that under different flow velocities and rotational speeds, the flow noise is primarily concentrated in the low-frequency band. These results offer valuable insights for the low-noise flow-field optimization design and have significant implications for enhancing the accuracy of wireless acoustic CPT signal reception. The hydraulic system is a key component of intelligent forestry harvesters. In the testing of a forestry harvester, researchers need to analyze the operating efficiency and energy consumption of the forestry harvester based on the pressure and flow rate data in the hydraulic system of the forestry harvester and formulate energy-efficient control strategies. In order to enable researchers to monitor and extract the parameters of the hydraulic system of an intelligent forestry harvester in real time, this paper designs a hydraulic online monitoring system for forestry harvesters based on the LabVIEW 2019 software platform. This system realizes the following functions by reading the CAN (controller area network, a serial communication protocol for multi-host localized networks) bus of the harvester: (1) it collects and stores hydraulic system pressure, flow, and other data and displays the value curve in the system interface in real time, and (2) it monitors the control signals received by the hydraulic system and displays the control signal status and value received by the system interface in real time. This paper used this system to carry out on-site testing of an actual machine, and compared and analyzed the online monitoring data of the hydraulic system and the theoretical pressure data of the main hydraulic valve manifold. The average value of the relative error between the two was 1.65%, and the maximum value of the relative error was 2.75%. The results show that the designed system has good accuracy and stability, and can effectively realize online monitoring of the working status of the hydraulic system of forestry harvesters during their operation. BACKGROUND: Pathogens that reproduce or develop in mosquitoes can transmit several diseases, endanger human health, and overwhelm health systems. Synthetic pyrethroids are the most widely used insecticides against adult mosquitoes, but their widespread use has led to resistance. The adenosine triphosphate (ATP)‐binding cassette (ABC) transporters are involved in the resistance monitoring of insects, but their role and underlying mechanisms in insecticide resistance have not been fully elucidated. In the present study, we identified ABC transporter genes in Culex pipiens and investigated their role in the development of insecticide resistance. RESULTS: We identified 63 ABC transporter genes in Cx. pipiens and classified them as per the ABC transporter subfamilies. We also performed phylogenetic analysis. The knockdown rate of the mosquitoes orally fed with the ABC transporter inhibitor verapamil increased after deltamethrin treatment compared with that of the control group. Several genes from the ABCB, ABCC, and ABCG subfamilies were highly expressed in resistant mosquitoes. Immunofluorescence analysis revealed that ABCG6032427 was expressed in the head, chest, abdomen, wings, and legs, and the expression was the highest in the legs. Subsequently, knockdown of ABCG6032427 using RNA interference (RNAi) increased the sensitivity of the mosquitoes to deltamethrin, and scanning and transmission electron microscopy revealed that ABCG6032427 knockdown reduced cuticle thickness and the cuticle became loose and irregular. CONCLUSIONS: ABCG6032427 may modulate cuticle thickness and structure, thus play an important role in the development of deltamethrin resistance in mosquitoes. The traditional phased array radar is unable to distinguish mainlobe deceptive interference from the true target when they share an identical angle. To address this issue, a method is developed to suppress the interference in the joint transmit–receive–Doppler frequency domain, using secondary compensation and quadratic phase code (QPC) with the frequency diversity array multiple-input multiple-output (FDA-MIMO) radar. The QPC technique is employed by encoding the transmitted pulses in various spatial channels, which extends the degrees-of-freedom (DOFs) of the system. To distinguish and suppress the false targets behind the true target by at least one pulse, Doppler compensation is performed and Doppler filters are employed. To distinguish the fast-generated false targets, which are located in the same pulse with the true target, the spatial frequency compensation is implemented, which equivalently relocates the mainlobe interference to the sidelobes. Via the singular spectrum analysis (SSA) technique and the data-dependent beamforming, the interferences within the ambiguity region are suppressed. This study aims to develop a methodology to describe and predict the statistical characteristics of individual ore particles in terms of length, width, height, volume, mass, area, circularity, aspect ratio, density, and porosity. The mean value, standard deviation, and appropriate distribution function were calculated or identified for each data set of a given particle property in a given size fraction. It was found that the mean value and the standard deviation of the same particle property can either be predicted from particle size or be approximated by a constant. The best-fit distribution of each kind of particle property was identified by the Anderson–Darling test using Minitab software. Generally, the data sets with the same particle property but different size fractions and ore types follow the same distribution. A methodology was developed to predict the distribution of individual particle properties in a given size fraction by particle size, and the fitting quality is good in most cases. The statistical characteristics of individual ore particles can improve the precise processing of ore feed in concentrators, the preparation of feed samples for lab-scale testing, the calibration of image analysis of ore particle size distribution, etc. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to find out the effect of repairing tension lining cracks with steel plate-short anchor, this paper uses the general finite element software ABAQUS to compare the mechanical characteristics and failure modes of reinforced concrete lining before and after repairing with steel plate-short anchor under large eccentric compression. The results show that: (1) Compared with the unrepaired lining structure, the ultimate bearing capacity of the lining with 30%, 50% and 70% cracking repaired by steel plate-short anchor structure increases by 20.37%, 24.22% and 28. 36% respectively, and the mid-span deflection decreases by 54. 9%, 32.5% and 36.5% respectively; (2) Based on the mid-span deflection value corresponding to the ultimate bearing capacity when the lining crack degree is 70%, the mid-span deflection values are repaired from small to large by 30% < intact component < repaired 50% < repaired 70% < cracked 30% < cracked 50% < cracked 70%; (3) When the degree of lining crack is 30%, 50% and 70%, the maximum tensile stress of steel bar in lining after repairing with steel plate-short anchor decreases by 8.24%, 2.98% and 10. 90% respectively, and the maximum compressive stress decreases by 9.38%, 6.40% and 0.89% respectively; (4) When the lining structure is damaged, the failure modes of numerical simulation and model test are the same, which shows that the concrete on the compression side is crushed to different degrees. After repairing, the expansion of the original cracks in the lining is obviously restrained, the integrity of the lining structure is improved, and the risk of falling blocks and slag is reduced. The repairing of lining cracks by steel plate-short anchor structure is quick and minimally invasive. Under the conditions of drilling in gravel-bearing and heterogeneous stratas, the movement and force of the PDC bit during drilling are highly unstable. Irregular impact loads often cause fatigue failures such as tooth fracture, tooth breakage and delamination of the composite sheet. Dynamic impact load is the main cause of fatigue failure of cutting-tooth, which seriously affects the rock-breaking performance of PDC bits. This paper proposes a flexible cutting tooth unit consisting of a central tooth, an elastic element, and a base. The technical concept of flexible-cutting rock breaking is to reduce the impact load amplitude suffered during the cutting process to a certain threshold range by setting elastic elements or reducing the support stiffness of the cutting tooth, so as to inhibit the expansion of micro defects caused by the impact dynamic load of cutting teeth and prolong the service life of drill bits. The finite-element models of flexible cutting teeth for rock cutting were established. The influence of cutting depth, front rake angle and stiffness of elastic elements on the cushioning and vibration-absorption effect of flexible cutting was analysed. The results show that flexible cutting can reduce the peak and average value of von Mises stress at the cutting edge. Under different cutting-depth conditions, the decline rates were 21.45–49.02% and 9.42–17.8%, respectively. Then, under different front-rake-angle conditions, the decline rates were 20.51–24.02% and 9.41–17.8%, respectively. There is a suitable stiffness of the elastic element, which makes the peak and average value of von Mises stress at the cutting edge of the flexible cutting-tooth unit perform better and the effect of improving the uneven stress distribution at the cutting edge better. Flexible cutting technology can effectively improve the adaptability of the PDC bit in heterogeneous formations and reduce the occurrence of abnormal failure of cutting teeth. Most standalone atmospheric models do not perform well in simulations of coastal boundary layer jets (BLJs), important weather processes that can trigger heavy rain in coastal areas by supplying both moisture and dynamic lifting. We compared 33‐year simulations with a coupled atmosphere–ocean model and its standalone atmospheric component, the REgional atmosphere MOdel (REMO), forced by the prescribed sea surface temperature (SST). We validated our results using the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission SST and the ERA5 hourly reanalysis data set. We found that the coupled model gave a more realistic SST standard deviation than the REMO on BLJ days and corrected the overestimated air temperature over land during the day. The coupled atmosphere–ocean model showed a lower land–sea thermal contrast in the boundary layer. This increased the effects of inertial oscillation, which caused the ageostrophic flows to veer southwest, which is the direction of the maximum wind speed on BLJ days. This reproduced a more reasonable land–sea thermal contrast in the boundary layer as a result of strong air–sea mixing in coastal weather processes, which led to a more robust inertial oscillation and a larger SST standard deviation over the central South China Sea. These findings deepen our understanding of the influence of a fully mixed air–sea boundary on coastal weather processes. These results show that operational numerical weather prediction models can be improved by applying atmosphere–ocean coupling to advance their ability to forecast the weather (e.g., BLJ events) in coastal areas. In the present complex electromagnetic environment, radar target detection is threatened by different kinds of interferences, especially mainlobe deceptive interference, which occupies the same energy distributions of targets spatially, meaning that targets and interferences cannot be discriminated. To make matters worse, the number of suppressible interferences is limited by the number of physical array elements, leading to the degradation of the suppression performance of traditional radar. In this work, we propose a frequency-increment-based interference suppression method for minimum redundancy frequency diverse array multiple-input multiple-output (MR-FDA-MIMO) radar, which effectively solves the aforementioned two problems. The interference suppression method consists of two steps: (i) in the sidelobe barrage interference suppression stage, the interference-plus-noise covariance matrix is reconstructed to overcome the influence of the true targets and mainlobe deceptive interference on the performance of the beamformer; (ii) in the mainlobe deceptive interference suppression stage, a nonadaptive beamforming method is employed to suppress mainlobe deceptive interference and overcome the impact of insufficient virtual samples on interference suppression performance. Additionally, we design a frequency-increment-based MR-FDA-MIMO radar, fully utilizing the advantages of the virtual array to enhance interference suppression performance and increase the number of interferences. Background: Patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive advanced breast cancer and primary resistance to trastuzumab have a poor clinical outcome and lack good evidence to inform clinical decision. This study investigated the efficacy and safety of pyrotinib plus capecitabine in this population. Methods: This phase 2 trial was conducted at 16 sites in China. Patients received oral pyrotinib 400 mg once daily and capecitabine 1000 mg/m2 twice a day on days 1–14 of each 21-day cycle until disease progression or intolerable toxicity. The primary endpoint was investigator-assessed progression-free survival (PFS). Results: Between June 2019 and September 2021, 100 patients were enrolled with a median age of 51 years (range, 24–69). All patients had been treated with trastuzumab and 21 (21.0%) patients had prior use of pertuzumab. As of August 31, 2022, the median follow-up duration was 20.1 months (range, 1.3–38.2). The median PFS was 11.8 months (95% confidence interval [CI], 8.4–15.1), which crossed the pre-specified efficacy boundary of 8.0 months. The objective response rate was 70.0% (70/100), with a median duration of response of 13.8 months (95% CI, 10.2–19.3). The disease control rate was 87.0% (87/100). The median overall survival was not reached. The most common grade ≥ 3 treatment-emergent adverse event was diarrhea (24 [24.0%]). No treatment-related deaths occurred. Conclusions: Pyrotinib plus capecitabine can be considered to be a treatment option in HER2-positive advanced breast cancer patients who have shown primary resistance to trastuzumab. The range-ambiguous clutter in space-based early warning radar is more severe compared with that in airborne radar due to the faster movement velocity. Meanwhile, the clutter angle-Doppler characteristics vary with range owing to Earth’s rotation. As a result, the mainbeam clutter returned from different ambiguous ranges occupies most of the Doppler spectrum, which leads to the degradation of the traditional space–time adaptive processing (STAP) performance in canceling clutter. Though frequency diverse array (FDA) based on multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) can provide the ability to identify the range-ambiguous clutter, it cannot perform well for space-based early warning radar because of the finite available vertical elements. In this letter, a novel STAP method, which utilizes the element-pulse coding (EPC) and FDA technique to mitigate the range-ambiguous clutter, is proposed. First, EPC is used to prewhiten the most range-ambiguous clutter via coding and decoding in horizontal elements and coherent pulses. Then the interval in the vertical frequency of the residual range-ambiguous clutter is expanded by FDA, and thus the targets and clutter from the vertical mainlobe are easily extracted using a spatial filter with a few vertical elements. Finally, the extracted clutter can be effectively suppressed through the traditional STAP method. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the performance of the proposed method. Chiral metamaterials have attracted significant attention in recent years due to their unique properties in both the microwave and optics regimes. However, most existing works rely on engineering the desired properties of spatial interfaces, and the concept of time-varying chirality has only recently begun to be explored. As a consequence, there is currently a lack of suitable tools for evaluating the propagation of electromagnetic (EM) waves in time-varying chiral media. As such, this paper presents the theoretical formulation for temporal reflection and transmission of EM waves in time-varying chiral media using the temporal transfer matrix method (TTMM). The developed TTMM tool will then be utilized to explore several application examples including a structure with an arbitrary temporal profile, optical activity generated from time interfaces, and anti-reflection temporal coatings. In the electronic warfare environment, the performance of ground-based radar target search is seriously degraded due to the existence of smeared spectrum (SMSP) jamming. SMSP jamming is generated by the self-defense jammer on the platform, playing an important role in electronic warfare, making traditional radars based on linear frequency modulation (LFM) waveforms face great challenges in searching for targets. To solve this problem, an SMSP mainlobe jamming suppression method based on a frequency diverse array (FDA) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar is proposed. The proposed method first uses the maximum entropy algorithm to estimate the target angle and eliminate the interference signals from the sidelobe. Then, the range-angle dependence of the FDA-MIMO radar signal is utilized, and the blind source separation (BSS) algorithm is used to separate the mainlobe interference signal and the target signal, avoiding the impact of mainlobe interference on target search. The simulation verifies that the target echo signal can be effectively separated, the similarity coefficient can reach more than 90% and the detection probability of the radar is significantly enhanced at a low signal-to-noise ratio. The problem of suppressing mainlobe deceptive jammers, which spoof radar systems by generating multiple false targets, has attracted widespread attention. To tackle this problem, in this paper, the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar system was utilized by applying a quadratic element phase code (QEPC) to the transmitted pulses of different elements. In the receiver, by utilizing the spatial frequency and Doppler frequency offset generated after decoding, the jammers were equivalently distributed in the sidelobes of the joint Doppler-transmit-receive domain and were distinguishable from the true target. Then, further spatial frequency compensation and Doppler compensation were performed to align the true target to the zero point in the transmit spatial and Doppler domains. Moreover, by designing appropriate coding coefficients, the jammers were suppressed by data-independent Doppler-transmit-receive three-dimensional beamforming. However, the beamforming performance was sensitive to angular estimation mismatches, resulting in performance degradation of jammer suppression. To this end, a center-boundary null-broadening control (CBNBC) approach was used to broaden the nulls in the equivalent beampattern by generating multiple artificial jammers with preset powers around the nulls. Thus, the false targets (FTs) with deviations were sufficiently suppressed in the broadened notches. Aimingat non-side-looking airborne radar, we propose a novel unsupervised affinity propagation (AP) clustering radar detection algorithm to suppress clutter and detect targets. The proposed method first uses selected power points as well as space-time adaptive processing (STAP) weight vector, and designs matrix-transformation-based weighted input data, with which the first unsupervised weighted AP clustering is proposed by means of their similarity matrix, responsibility values and availability values. Then, new reconstructed weighted power inputs are designed, and the second weighted AP clustering is proposed. Finally, with their cluster results, a detection-discriminant criterion is designed for the judgment of target detection, and simultaneously, the clutter is suppressed. Compared with the conventional and important STAP, ADC and JDL algorithms, and several SO-based, GO-based and OS-based CFAR algorithms, the proposed unsupervised algorithm achieves much higher probability of detection and provides distinctly superior target-detection performance. With reasonable computation time, it can better conquer the range dependence in characteristic of clutter and better process non-independent identically distributed (non-IID) samples of non-side-looking radar. Sustainable control of mosquitoes, vectors of many pathogens and parasites, is a critical challenge. Chemical insecticides are gradually losing their effectiveness because of development of resistance, and plant metabolites are increasingly being recognized as potential alternatives to chemical insecticides. This study aimed to analyze the main components of Perilla frutescens essential oil (PE-EO), investigate the specific activity of PE-EO as a botanical insecticide and mosquito repellent, and explore whether its main constituents are potential candidates for further research. The larvicidal activity assay showed that LC50 of PE-EO and 2-hexanoylfuran was 45 and 25 mg/L, respectively. In the ovicidal activity assay, both 120 mg/L PE-EO and 80 mg/L 2-hexanoylfuran could achieve 98% egg mortality. Moreover, PE-EO and 2-hexanoylfuran showed repellency and oviposition deterrence effects. Notably, 10% PE-EO maintained a high rate of protection for 360 min. Although PE-EO and its main component had certain toxic effects on zebrafish, no significant harmful effects were detected in human embryonic kidney cells. Therefore, perilla essential oil is an effective agent for mosquito control at several life stages and that its main component, 2-hexanoylfuran, is a potential candidate for developing novel plant biopesticides. Time-varying materials bring an extra degree of design freedom compared to their conventional time-invariant counterparts. However, few discussions have focused on the underlying physical difference between spatial and temporal boundaries. In this letter, we thoroughly investigate those differences from the perspective of conservation laws. By doing so, the building blocks of optics and electromagnetics such as the reflection law, Snell's law, and Fresnel's equations can be analogously derived in a temporal context, but with completely different interpretations. Background: Non-small cell lung cancer is a heterogeneous disease driven by extensive molecular alterations. Exosomes are small vesicles with diameters ranging from 30 to 150 nm released by various cell types and are important mediators of information transmission in tumor cells. Exosomes contain proteins, lipids, and various types of nucleic acids, including miRNAs and even DNA and RNA. MFI2 Antisense RNA 1 (MFI2-AS1) is a long noncoding RNA known to promote cell proliferation, metastasis and invasion in a variety of malignancies. Methods: The relative expression of MFI2-AS1 in NSCLC tissues was examined using RNA fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) staining. Transwell migration and wound healing assays were used to analyze cell migration and invasion abilities. Tube formation is used to assess angiogenic capacity. CCK8 was used to assess cell proliferation ability. RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) experiments confirmed that MFI2-AS1 acts as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) for miR-107. Dual-luciferase reporter assays were used to identify potential binding between MFI2-miRNA and target mRNA. In vivo experiments were performed by injecting exosomes into subcutaneous tumors to establish animal models. Result: Exosomal MFI2-AS1 increases NFAT5 expression by sponging miR-107, which in turn activates the PI3K/AKT pathway. We found that the MFI2-AS1/miR-107/NFAT5 axis plays an important role in exosome-mediated NSCLC progression, is involved in pre-metastatic niche formation, and can be used as a blood-based biomarker for NSCLC metastasis. Gradient index (GRIN) lenses embody a powerful technology that enables control of electromagnetic wave propagation over wide frequency bands. However, GRIN lenses that achieve multifunctional (i.e., dual broadband) performance have not been realized mainly due to the limitations of conventional techniques such as Transformation Optics (TO). This paper proposes a multi‐objective inverse‐design approach for the optimization of multi‐band GRIN lenses with highly constrained aperture sizes. A candidate lens design is fabricated from a ceramic material using a new additive manufacturing approach allowing for spatially‐varying permittivities between 2–6.5 to be achieved at sub‐cm resolution. Measured results validate the candidate functionalized ceramic GRIN lens's simulated multi‐band performance and demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed inverse‐design procedure. The offshore waters of China are a typical monsoon−affected area where the significant wave height (SWH) is strongly influenced by the different seasonal mean flow in winter and summer. However, limited in situ validations of the SWH have been performed on the China–France Oceanography Satellite (CFOSAT) in these waters. This study focused on validating CFOSAT nadir SWH data with SWH data from in situ buoy observations for China's offshore waters and the Haiyang−2B (HY−2B) satellite, from July 2019 to December 2021. The validation against the buoy data showed that the relative absolute error has a seasonal cycle, varying in a narrow range near 35%. The RMSE of the CFOSAT nadir SWH was 0.29 m when compared against in situ observations, and CFOSAT was found to be more likely to overestimate the SWH under calm sea conditions. The sea−surface winds play a key role in calm sea conditions. The spatial distributions of the CFOSAT and HY−2B seasonal SWHs were similar, with a two−year mean SWH−field correlation coefficient of 0.98. Moreover, the coherence between the two satellites' SWH variance increased with SWH magnitude. Our study indicates that, in such typical monsoon−influenced waters, attention should be given to the influence of sea conditions on the accuracy of CFOSAT SWH, particularly in studies that combine data from multiple, long−duration space−based sensors. The six-degree-of-freedom (6 DOF) motion of the mother ship, especially the heave motion, brings difficulties to offshore operations and even causes safety accidents. To ensure the reliability of the launch and recovery system when the active heave compensation (AHC) function works, its dynamic characteristics are analyzed. Firstly, the dynamic model of the launch and recovery system with a rigid rope is constructed, and the mathematical simulation of the launch and recovery system without the AHC function under the excitation of irregular waves is completed. Secondly, a flexible rope based on the finite element method is established, and the dynamic responses of the launch and recovery system with AHC function under different conditions are compared with those without AHC function. The simulation results demonstrate that the dynamic responses of the system are related to the load, the underwater penetration, and the sea condition. In detail, the increase of the load leads to an increase in the dynamic response of the system. In essence, the underwater penetration affects the dynamic response of the system by affecting the activity of load acceleration. Therefore, a short rope is preferred in the maritime operations. Moreover, the harsh sea condition usually causes an undesirable effect of AHC function. In summary, the overall work is conductive to the modeling of the launch and recovery system, as well as the development of AHC technology so as to improve the quality of offshore operations in the future. This paper proposes a cooperated range ambiguous clutter suppression method for moving target detection in the background of range-ambiguous clutter with a phased array (PA)–frequency diverse array (FDA) dual-mode radar. With the FDA mode, the range-ambiguous clutters are discriminated in the transmit spatial frequency domain, and thus the clutter covariance matrixes (CCMs) corresponding to unambiguous and ambiguous regions can be independently estimated. Therefore, the enhanced CCM can be reconstructed by using a linear combination of these distinguished CCMs from different range regions. With the PA mode, the enhanced CCM is applied, thus taking advantages of its high beampattern gain as well as alleviating the range ambiguous clutter suppression problem. Asgard archaea are considered to be the closest known relatives of eukaryotes. Their genomes contain hundreds of eukaryotic signature proteins (ESPs), which inspired hypotheses on the evolution of the eukaryotic cell1–3. A role of ESPs in the formation of an elaborate cytoskeleton and complex cellular structures has been postulated4–6, but never visualized. Here we describe a highly enriched culture of ‘Candidatus Lokiarchaeum ossiferum’, a member of the Asgard phylum, which thrives anaerobically at 20 °C on organic carbon sources. It divides every 7–14 days, reaches cell densities of up to 5 × 107 cells per ml and has a significantly larger genome compared with the single previously cultivated Asgard strain7. ESPs represent 5% of its protein-coding genes, including four actin homologues. We imaged the enrichment culture using cryo-electron tomography, identifying ‘Ca. L. ossiferum’ cells on the basis of characteristic expansion segments of their ribosomes. Cells exhibited coccoid cell bodies and a network of branched protrusions with frequent constrictions. The cell envelope consists of a single membrane and complex surface structures. A long-range cytoskeleton extends throughout the cell bodies, protrusions and constrictions. The twisted double-stranded architecture of the filaments is consistent with F-actin. Immunostaining indicates that the filaments comprise Lokiactin—one of the most highly conserved ESPs in Asgard archaea. We propose that a complex actin-based cytoskeleton predated the emergence of the first eukaryotes and was a crucial feature in the evolution of the Asgard phylum by scaffolding elaborate cellular structures.Culture and analysis of ‘Candidatus Lokiarchaeum ossiferum’—a member of the Asgard phylum—reveals an elaborate cell architecture with extensive membranous protrusions. The immune checkpoint programmed death receptor 1 (PD‐1) and programmed death ligand 1 (PD‐L1) are biologically important immunosuppressive molecules, and the PD‐L1/PD‐1‐mediated signalling pathway is currently considered one of the main mechanisms of tumour escape immune surveillance. PD‐L1 is highly expressed on the cytomembrane of tumour cell and binds to PD‐1 receptor of activated T cells. This interaction activates PD‐L1/PD‐1 downstream signal transduction, inhibiting T cells anti‐tumour activity. Therefore, inhibitors of PD‐L1/PD‐1 activation, showing significant efficacy in some types of tumours, have been widely approved in clinical tumour therapy. Recent research on PD‐L1/PD‐1 signalling pathway regulation has shown post‐translational modifications (PTMs) form of PD‐L1 or PD‐1, including glycosylation, ubiquitination, phosphorylation, and acetylation, which may play an important role in PD‐L1/PD‐1 signalling pathway regulation and anti‐tumour function of T cells. Clutter suppression is a key problem for airborne radar, and space-time adaptive processing (STAP) is a core technology for clutter suppression and moving target detection. However, in practical applications, the non-uniform time-varying environments including clutter range dependence for non-side-looking radar lead to the training samples being unable to satisfy the sample requirements of STAP that they should be independent identical distributed (IID) and that their number should be greater than twice the system's degree of freedom (DOF). The lack of sufficient IID training samples causes difficulty in the convergence of STAP and further results in a serious degeneration of performance. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes a novel autoencoder neural network for clutter suppression with a unique matrix designed to be decoded and encoded. The main challenges are improving the accuracy of the estimation of the clutter-plus-noise covariance matrix (CNCM) for STAP convergence, designing the form of the data input to the network, and making the network successfully explored to the improvement of CNCM. For these challenges, the main proposed solutions include designing a unique matrix with a certain dimension and a series of covariance data selections and matrix transformations. Consequently, the proposed method compresses and retains the characteristics of the covariances, and abandons the deviations caused by the non-uniformity and the deficiency of training samples. Specifically, the proposed method firstly develops a unique matrix whose dimension is less than half of the DOF, meanwhile, it is based on a processing of the selected clutter-plus-noise covariances. Then, an autoencoder neural network with l 2 regularization and the sparsity regularization is proposed for the unique matrix to be decoded and encoded. The training of the proposed autoencoder can be achieved by reducing the total loss function with the gradient descent iterations. Finally, an inverted processing for the autoencoder output is designed for the reconstruct ion of the clutter-plus-noise covariances. Simulation results are used to verify the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed method. It performs obviously superior clutter suppression for both side-looking and non-side-looking radars with strong clutter, and can deal with the insufficient and the non-uniform training samples. For these conditions, the proposed method provides the relatively narrowest and deepest IF notch. In this paper, the problem of mainlobe deceptive jammer suppression is solved with the frequency diversity array-multiple-input multiple-output (FDA-MIMO) radar system. At the modeling stage, based on the FDA-MIMO radar, a quadratic phase code (QPC) is applied along the slow time dimension in the transmit array. In the receiver, after decoding and principal range compensation, the true and false targets that are generated in an identical angle, can be discriminated in the joint transmit-receive-Doppler frequency domain. Particularly, the false targets are equivalently moved from the mainlobe to the sidelobes in the transmit spatial frequency domain. Then, by performing the data-dependent transmit-receive-Doppler three-dimensional beamforming, the false targets are suppressed owing to Doppler and range mismatches. Moreover, by moving the jammers to nulls in the Doppler frequency domain, the capability in terms of the maximum number of suppressible jammers can be strengthened with an appropriate coding coefficient and frequency increment. Background: Cuproptosis, a newly discovered mode of cell death, has been less studied in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Exploring the molecular characteristics of different subtypes of HCC based on cuproptosis-related genes (CRGs) is meaningful to HCC. In addition, immunotherapy plays a pivotal role in treating HCC. Exploring the sensitivity of immunotherapy and building predictive models are critical for HCC. Methods: The 357 HCC samples from the TCGA database were classified into three subtypes, Cluster 1, Cluster 2, and Cluster 3, based on the expression levels of ten CRGs genes using consensus clustering. Six machine learning algorithms were used to build models that identified the three subtypes. The molecular features of the three subtypes were analyzed and compared from some perspectives. Moreover, based on the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between Cluster 1 and Cluster 3, a prognostic scoring model was constructed using LASSO regression and Cox regression, and the scoring model was used to predict the efficacy of immunotherapy in the IMvigor210 cohort. Results: Cluster 3 had the worst overall survival compared to Cluster 1 and Cluster 2 (P = 0.0048). The AUC of the Catboost model used to identify Cluster 3 was 0.959. Cluster 3 was significantly different from the other two subtypes in gene mutation, tumor mutation burden, tumor microenvironment, the expression of immune checkpoint inhibitor genes and N6-methyladenosine regulatory genes, and the sensitivity to sorafenib. We believe Cluster 3 is more sensitive to immunotherapy from the above analysis results. Therefore, based on the DEGs between Cluster 1 and Cluster 3, we obtained a 7-gene scoring prognostic model, which achieved meaningful results in predicting immunotherapy efficacy in the IMvigor210 cohort (P = 0.013). Conclusions: Our study provides new ideas for molecular characterization and immunotherapy of HCC from machine learning and bioinformatics. This paper studies the distributed pulse‐width‐modulation (PWM) control problem for double‐integrator multi‐agent systems with switching topologies. Usually, a PWM control signal updates only on discrete‐time sample instants and only takes three constant values. This means that the methods based on linear and continuous designs are not directly applicable. The major contribution of this paper is that a new class of distributed PWM controllers, which feature nested saturated loops, is proposed. With the new design, the outputs of the controlled agents asymptotically converge to each other, as long as a mild connectivity condition is satisfied. The validity of the proposed PWM controller is proved based on a new invariant‐set‐like method. This work first shows that the state of each PWM‐controlled agent stays within an appropriately chosen closed set if the interactions are bounded. Then, under a mild connectivity condition, the state boundedness and convergence of the closed‐loop multi‐agent system by analyzing the boundedness of the interactions are proved. The fractal characteristics of soil particle-size distribution (PSD) constitute an important soil physical property, and fractal models of soil PSD are increasingly used to describe the effects of vegetation on the improvement of soil-related properties. Based on the fractal theory, this paper selected four typical vegetation restoration types (Quercus acutissima, QAC; Robinia pseudoacacia, RPL; Pinus densiflora, PDS; QAC × PDS) in the Taiyi mountainous area as the research object, and the single-fractal dimension (D) and multi-fractal parameters of PSD and its correlation with soil-associated properties were studied. The results show that (1) QAC × PDS reduced the heterogeneity of soil sand distribution, which also increased the range and concentration of soil PSD in the dense area. Soil clay and silt contents showed QAC × PDS > RPL > QAC > PDS. QAC × PDS significantly increased clay and silt content in 0–20 cm soil. (2) D varies among different vegetation restoration types, which was QAC × PDS > RPL > QAC > PDS, and the D of 0–20 cm soil was greater than that of 20–40 cm. For the multi-fractal parameters of PSD, the capacity dimension (D0), information dimension (D1), correlation dimension (D2) and D1/D0 in 0–20 cm soil of different vegetation restoration types showed significant differences. (3) D and multi-fractal parameters were significantly positively correlated with clay and silt contents, which were significantly negatively correlated with sand contents. (4) QAC × PDS had the smallest soil bulk density and largest porosity. Fractal dimension was negatively correlated with soil bulk density and positively correlated with soil total porosity and capillary porosity. These results indicate that the soil fractal dimension can well characterize the vegetation improvement on soil structure and properties in the earthy-rocky mountain areas of northern China. With the rapid development of electronic warfare technology, the airborne electronic counter measures (ECM) system can generate mainlobe jamming using range gate pull-off (RGPO) strategy, which brings serious performance degradation of target tracking for the tracking and guidance radar. In this study, a two-dimensional transceiver beamforming approach is proposed to suppress the mainlobe jamming with frequency diverse array using multiple-input multiple-output (FDA-MIMO) radar. The mainlobe jamming signal differs from the real target echo in the joint transmit and receive domain due to the range dependence of FDA beampattern. The amplitude of RGPO signal is greater than the amplitude of real target echo. Thus, the transceiver beampattern can be designed to null out the jamming while maintaining the real target. The jamming suppression performance is studied in consideration of practical range constraint of RGPO. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach. Phytoremediation technology based on living green plants would clean up water pollution. Through hydroponic experiment, the effects of different concentration of 2, 4-dinitrophenol (2, 4-DNP) on the photosynthetic and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters of Salix babylonica, and the absorption and purification effect of S. babylonica on 2, 4-DNP were measured to explore the tolerance of S. babylonica to 2, 4-DNP and the feasibility to purify dinitrophenol waste water by it. The biomass, actual photochemical efficiency (PSII), net photosynthetic rate (Pn), photochemical quenching coefficient (qP), stomatal conductance (Gs), transpiration rate (Tr), maximum photochemical efficiency (Fv/Fm) and chlorophyll content of the S. babylonica showed downward trend with the increasing exposure concentrations of 2,4-DNP, but the intercellular CO2 concentration (Ci) appeared upward trend. Non-photochemical quenching coefficient (NPQ) increased at 5 mg L–1, then declined with the increase concentrations of 2, 4-DNP. In addition, the percent removal of 2, 4-DNP in 20 mg L–1 waste water was 91.4%. In conclusion, 2, 4-DNP significantly inhibits Pn of S. babylonica and the reduction of Pn was caused by decreasing Gs, carboxylation efficiency and chlorophyll content. When the concentration of 2, 4-DNP is not more than 20 mg L–1, S. babylonica can remove 2, 4-DNP efficiently. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background and Objective: Migraine is a common neurological disease, but its pathogenesis is still unclear. Previous studies suggested that migraine was related to immunoglobulin G (IgG). We intended to analyze the immune characteristics of migraine from the perspective of IgG glycosylation and provide theoretical assistance for exploring its pathogenesis. Methods: The differences in the serum level of IgG glycosylation and glycopeptides between patients with episodic migraine and healthy controls were analyzed by applying the poly(glycerol methacrylate)@chitosan (PGMA@CS) nanomaterial in combination with matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS). We constructed a binary classification model with a feedforward neural network using PyTorch 1.6.0 in Python 3.8.3 to classify the episodic migraine and healthy control groups. Results: Twenty patients with migraine and 20 healthy controls were enrolled and the blood samples and clinical information were collected. Forty-nine IgG N-glycopeptides were detected in the serum of the subjects. The serum level of N-glycopeptide IgG1 G0-NF (p = 0.012) was increased in patients with migraine. The serum level of N-glycopeptide IgG3/4 G2FS (p = 0.041) was decreased in patients with migraine with family history of headache. It was found that the serum level of the IgG1 G1 (p = 0.004) and IgG2 G0 (p = 0.045) was increased in patients with migraine with aura, while the serum level of IgG2 G0N (p = 0.043) in patients with migraine with aura was significantly lower than that in patients with migraine without aura. In addition, a linear feedforward neural network (FFNN) was used to construct a binary classification model by detected IgG N-glycopeptides. The area under the curve (AUC) value of the binary classification model, which was constructed with 7 IgG N-glycopeptides, was 0.857, suggesting a good prediction performance. Among these IgG N-glycopeptides that were constructed the model, IgG1 G0-NF was overlapped with the differential IgG N-glycopeptide between patients with migraine and healthy controls detected with MALDI-TOF-MS. Conclusion: Our results indicated that the serum level of N-glycopeptides IgG1 G0-NF might be one of the important biomarkers for the diagnosis of migraine. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study about the changes of IgG N-glycosylation in patients with migraine by the method of MALDI-TOF-MS. The enterprise network is of great significance in explaining the risk-taking of individual firm. However, some unobservable networks hidden in different firms have long been neglected. Using the text data of the annual reports of China's listed firms from 2007 to 2018, this paper adopts a textual analysis method to capture the managers' perceptions of pressure, and build a special kind of hidden inter-firm networks, that is, the perceived competition networks of managers. In addition, this paper discusses the impact of network characteristics on corporate risk-taking behavior. Empirically, there is a positive association between competition strength and corporate risk-taking, as well as the density of perceived competition network. Furthermore, this paper explores the risk-taking behaviors of peer firms in focal firm's perceived competition network, and finds that the improvement of peer firms' risk-taking significantly increases the risk bearing level of focal firm, that is, the positive spillover effect of risk-taking behavior among firms in perceived competition networks. Moreover, managers' personal traits significantly moderate the impact of network characteristics on corporate risk-taking, which is mainly reflected in younger and male managers. Frequency diverse array (FDA)-multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) radar is characterized with a range-angle-dependent transceive beampattern by introducing incremental frequencies among the transmit array elements and separating the transmitted waveforms with matched filtering in the receiver. In this respect, the paper aims to control the range-angle-dependent transceive beampattern for FDA-MIMO radar by designing the weight vector according to the desired response. At the design stage, the weight vectors to control the beampattern responses of different regions are devised by performing the orthogonal decomposition technique. Then, a filtering matrix using the oblique projection operator is constructed to filter the weight vectors for different regions, where two iterative algorithms are developed either considering concurrent or successive control of multiple regions. In such a way, a desired range-angle-dependent transceive beampattern is formed with simultaneously broadened nulls and a flat-top mainlobe. At the analysis stage, the method has been applied to interference mitigation in FDA-MIMO radar, where the mismatch exists both in the sidelobes and mainlobe.
