Both annual (cotton, flax, hemp, etc.) and perennial (trees and grasses) plants can serve as a source of cellulose for fiber production. In recent years, the perennial herbaceous plant miscanthus has attracted particular interest as a popular industrial plant with enormous potential. This industrial crop, which contains up to 57% cellulose, serves as a raw material in the chemical and biotechnology sectors. This study proposes for the first time the utilization of miscanthus, namely Miscanthus Giganteus "KAMIS", to generate spinning solutions in N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide. Miscanthus cellulose's properties were identified using standard methods for determining the constituent composition, including also IR and atomic emission spectroscopy. The dry-jet wet method was used to make fibers from cellulose solutions with an appropriate viscosity/elasticity ratio. The structural characteristics of the fibers were studied using IR and scanning electron microscopy, as well as via X-ray structural analysis. The mechanical and thermal properties of the novel type of hydrated cellulose fibers demonstrated the possibility of producing high-quality fibers from miscanthus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Optimization methods, namely, gradient optimization methods, are a key part of neural network training. In this paper, we propose a new gradient optimization method using exponential decay and the adaptive learning rate using a discrete second-order derivative of gradients. The MAMGD optimizer uses an adaptive learning step, exponential smoothing and gradient accumulation, parameter correction, and some discrete analogies from classical mechanics. The experiments included minimization of multivariate real functions, function approximation using multilayer neural networks, and training neural networks on popular classification and regression datasets. The experimental results of the new optimization technology showed a high convergence speed, stability to fluctuations, and an accumulation of gradient accumulators. The research methodology is based on the quantitative performance analysis of the algorithm by conducting computational experiments on various optimization problems and comparing it with existing methods. This study is focused on exploring the feasibility of simultaneously producing the two products, cellulose nitrates (CNs) and bacterial cellulose (BC), from Miscanthus × giganteus. The starting cellulose for them was isolated by successive treatments of the feedstock with HNO3 and NaOH solutions. The cellulose was subjected to enzymatic hydrolysis for 2, 8, and 24 h. The cellulose samples after the hydrolysis were distinct in structure from the starting sample (degree of polymerization (DP) 1770, degree of crystallinity (DC) 64%) and between each other (DP 1510–1760, DC 72–75%). The nitration showed that these samples and the starting cellulose could successfully be nitrated to furnish acetone-soluble CNs. Extending the hydrolysis time from 2 h to 24 h led to an enhanced yield of CNs from 116 to 131%, with the nitrogen content and the viscosity of the CN samples increasing from 11.35 to 11.83% and from 94 to 119 mPa·s, respectively. The SEM analysis demonstrated that CNs retained the fiber shape. The IR spectroscopy confirmed that the synthesized material was specifically CNs, as evidenced by the characteristic frequencies of 1657–1659, 1277, 832–833, 747, and 688–690 cm−1. Nutrient media derived from the hydrolyzates obtained in 8 h and 24 h were of good quality for the synthesis of BC, with yields of 11.1% and 9.6%, respectively. The BC samples had a reticulate structure made of interlaced microfibrils with 65 and 81 nm widths and DPs of 2100 and 2300, respectively. Miscanthus is a valuable renewable feedstock and has a significant potential for the manufacture of diverse biotechnology products based on macromolecules such as cellulose, hemicelluloses and lignin. Herein, we overviewed the state-of-the art of research on the conversion of miscanthus polymers into biotechnology products comprising low-molecular compounds and macromolecules: bioethanol, biogas, bacterial cellulose, enzymes (cellulases, laccases), lactic acid, lipids, fumaric acid and polyhydroxyalkanoates. The optimal geometries of (CaO)n and (MgO)n clusters at n = 2–30 have been found and the enthalpies of formation of 1D, 2D, and 3D structures have been determined using quantum-chemical DFT calculations. The calculation demonstrates that the formation of linear chains of Ca and Mg oxides practically does not occur, while the formation of two-dimensional (tiled) and three-dimensional (cubic) structures proceeds with a large release of energy. The competing process of formation of molecular rods consisting of planar six-membered rings (MO)3 has been considered, and it has been shown to proceed not through the stage of preliminary formation of six-membered rings, but directly from monomer units. Key Clinical Message: Partial leukocyte adhesion deficiency type 1 (LAD‐1) deficiency is extremely rare condition with milder infectious manifestation and immune system imbalance leads to increased risks of autoinflammatory complications, such as pyoderma gangrenosum, that can be triggered by trauma or pregnancy. In patients with spice‐site ITGB2 variants, partial expression can occur due to different β2 integrin isophorms expression. LAD‐1, OMIM ID #116920 is a rare, autosomal recessive disorder that results from mutations in the ITGB2 gene that encodes the CD18 β2 integrin subunit. According to the CD18 expression, LAD‐1 is categorized as severe (<2%), moderate (2%–30%), or mild (>30%). Here, we describe a 22‐year‐old female, who presented with inflammatory skin disease and oral cavity, as well as respiratory tract infections during the first year of life. LAD‐1 was diagnosed at the age of 2 years by low expression of CD18 (1%). Whole‐exome sequencing identified homozygous c. 59‐10C>A variant in the ITGB2 gene. Despite severe phenotype, the patient survived to adulthood without hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and became pregnant at the age of 20 years, with pregnancy complicated by a pyoderma gangrenosum‐like lesion. During her life, CD18 expression increased from 1% to 9%; at 22 years of age, 5% of neutrophils and 9% of lymphocytes were CD18+. All CD18+‐lymphocytes were predominantly memory/effector cytotoxic T cells. However, revertant mosaicism was not being established suggesting that CD18 expression variability may be mediated by other mechanisms such as different β2 integrin isophorms expression. Carbon neutrality is a requisite for industrial development in modern times. In this paper, we review information on possible applications of polymers from the energy crop Miscanthus in the global industries, and we highlight the life cycle aspects of Miscanthus in detail. We discuss the benefits of Miscanthus cultivation on unoccupied marginal lands as well as the rationale for the capabilities of Miscanthus regarding both soil carbon storage and soil remediation. We also discuss key trends in the processing of Miscanthus biopolymers for applications such as a fuel resources, as part of composite materials, and as feedstock for fractionation in order to extract cellulose, lignin, and other valuable chemicals (hydroxymethylfurfural, furfural, phenols) for the subsequent chemical synthesis of a variety of products. The potentialities of the biotechnological transformation of the Miscanthus biomass into carbohydrate nutrient media and then into the final products of microbiological synthesis are also examined herein. Grav. 33(8), 085001 (2016)]. We show that if the time function is a regular cosmological time function as studied by Andersson, Galloway, and Howard [Classical Quant. Grav. 15(2), 309–322 (1998)], and also by Wald and Yip [J. Math. Phys. 22, 2659–2665 (1981)], or if, more generally, it satisfies the anti-Lipschitz condition of Chruściel, Grant, and Minguzzi [Ann. On the basis of X-ray diffraction experiment data the atomic molecular configuration in the short-range order region of amorphous nitrocellulose from Miscanthus is constructed by the computer simulation technique using the HyperChem 8 program. It is shown that the arrangement of atoms in the short-range order region of amorphous nitrocellulose is satisfactorily described by a cluster composed of nine nitrocellulose chains, two cellulose I chains twisted by an angle of 72°, and two untwisted cellulose I chains. Each chain contains ten glucose residues. In the final cluster, the above-mentioned chains form an approximately hexagonal layer in projection on plane ab with a distance between them being 12.2 Å. In projection on plane bc, the dimensions of the final cluster are 28 Å along axis b and 54 Å along axis c. The total number of atoms is 3300, and the degree of polymerization is 130; the formula unit of the asymmetric fragment is [C6H7.24O2(OH)0.92(ONO2)2.08]130. The result reliability is proved by the fact that the experimental curve of X-ray scattering intensity distribution I(s) and the corresponding curve calculated for the cluster coincide with an accuracy of up to 7.5%. Lignocellulosic biomass is of great interest as an alternative energy resource because it offers a range of merits. Miscanthus × giganteus is a lignocellulosic feedstock of special interest, as it combines a high biomass productivity with a low environmental impact, including CO2 emission control. The chemical composition of lignocellulose determines the application potential for efficient industrial processing. Here, we compiled a sample collection of Miscanthus × giganteus that had been cultivated in different climate regions between 2019 and 2021. The chemical composition was quantified by the conventional wet methods. The findings were compared with each other and with the known data. Starting as soon as the first vegetation year, Miscanthus was shown to feature the following chemical composition: 43.2–55.5% cellulose content, 17.1–25.1% acid-insoluble lignin content, 17.9–22.9% pentosan content, 0.90–2.95% ash content, and 0.3–1.2% extractives. The habitat and the surrounding environment were discovered herein to affect the chemical composition of Miscanthus. The stem part of Miscanthus was found to be richer in cellulose than the leaf (48.4–54.9% vs. 47.2–48.9%, respectively), regardless of the planation age and habitat. The obtained findings broaden the investigative geography of the chemical composition of Miscanthus and corroborate the high value of Miscanthus for industrial conversion thereof into cellulosic products worldwide. The results of X-ray diffraction analysis of bacterial nanocellulose (BNC), synthesized by Komagataeibacter xylinus В-12429 and Komagataeibacter xylinus В-12431 producers in enzymatic hydrolyzates of miscanthus, oat hull, and synthetic nutrient medium, are presented. It is found by full-profile analysis that the dominant component in all BNC samples studied, independent of the producer and nutrient medium, is allomorph Іα, whose content varies from 96 to 100%. The following characteristics of the supramolecular structure of the samples have been determined: the degree of crystallinity, sizes of elementary fibrils and the shape of their cross section, and the coherence length of elementary fibrils along the fibril axis. This article contains an exposition of a quasi-biological model of radiation carcinogenesis. The model was developed to describe the dependence of the radiogenic cancer incidence rate on the age at single exposure to radiation and the age at follow-up. The mathematical image of the model is compared with the corresponding ICRP and UNSCEAR mathematical models. The model is used to analyze the latest data on the cancer incidence rate in a cohort of Japanese people (2009) exposed to radiation from atomic explosions in 1945. It is shown to have methodological possibilities and advantages. The model parameters of radiogenic and background cancer incidence rates in the LSS cohort are given. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The global abundance and availability of oat hulls make them a promising feedstock to produce a unique type of cellulose, the bacterial one. This is the first study examining how a chemical pretreatment method of oat hulls influences the yield and properties of bacterial cellulose (BC) in extended cultivation. Here we employed our own pretreatment methods that use dilute HNO3 and NaOH solutions in one and two stages, a total of four pretreatment methods. Further technological stages were performed in the same manner: pulps were enzymatically hydrolyzed with commercial enzymes CelloLux-A and BrewZyme BGX, and biosynthesis of BC was run using the Medusomyces gisevii Sa-12 symbiotic culture. A two-stage (HNO3 + NaOH) pretreatment of oat hulls was found to afford a biologically good medium and increase the BC yield 1.8−3.2-fold compared to the other pretreatments used. A pretreatment method of oat hulls determined the BC yield and degree of polymerization. However, a pretreatment method had no impact on the highest crystallinity index and allomorph Iα content of all the BC samples, which is explained by Medusomyces gisevii Sa-12 used. We propose a new foliation of asymptotically Euclidean initial data sets by 2-spheres of constant spacetime mean curvature (STCMC). The leaves of the foliation have the STCMC-property regardless of the initial data set in which the foliation is constructed which asserts that there is a plethora of STCMC 2-spheres in a neighborhood of spatial infinity of any asymptotically flat spacetime. The STCMC-foliation can be understood as a equivariant relativistic generalization of the CMC-foliation suggested by Huisken and Yau (Invent Math 124:281–311, 1996). We show that a unique STCMC-foliation exists near infinity of any asymptotically Euclidean initial data set with non-vanishing energy which allows for the definition of a new notion of total center of mass for isolated systems. This STCMC-center of mass transforms equivariantly under the asymptotic Poincaré group of the ambient spacetime and in particular evolves under the Einstein evolution equations like a point particle in Special Relativity. The new definition also remedies subtle deficiencies in the CMC-approach to defining the total center of mass suggested by Huisken and Yau (Invent Math 124:281–311, 1996) which were described by Cederbaum and Nerz (Ann Henri Poincaré 16:1609–1631, 2015). The authors' point of view, as expressed in publications, on the evolution of models taking into account the irregularity of irradiation in time, which are contained in the ICRP Recommendations and are used in radiation risk assessment, is generalized. Nijmegen breakage syndrome (NBS) is a DNA repair disorder characterized by combined immunodeficiency and a high predisposition to lymphoid malignancies. The majority of NBS patients are identified with a homozygous five base pair deletion in the Nibrin (NBN) gene (c.657_661del5, p.K219fsX19) with a founder effect observed in Caucasian European populations, especially of Slavic origin. We present here an analysis of a cohort of 136 NBS patients of Eastern Slav origin across Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, and Latvia with a focus on understanding the geographic distribution, incidence of malignancy, and treatment outcomes of this cohort. Our analysis shows that Belarus had the highest prevalence of NBS (2.3 per 1,000,000), followed by Ukraine (1.3 per 1,000,000), and Russia (0.7 per 1,000,000). Of note, the highest concentration of NBS cases was observed in the western regions of Belarus and Ukraine, where NBS prevalence exceeds 20 cases per 1,000,000 people, suggesting the presence of an "Eastern Slavic NBS hot spot." The median age at diagnosis of this cohort ranged from 4 to 5 years, and delay in diagnosis was more pervasive in smaller cities and rural regions. A total of 62 (45%) patients developed malignancies, more commonly in males than females (55.2 vs. 34.2%; p =0.017). In 27 patients, NBS was diagnosed following the onset of malignancies (mean age: 8 years). Malignancies were mostly of lymphoid origin and predominantly non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) (n =42, 68%); 38% of patients had diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The 20-year overall survival rate of patients with malignancy was 24%. However, females with cancer experienced poorer event-free survival rates than males (16.6% vs. 46.8%, p =0.036). Of 136 NBS patients, 13 underwent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) with an overall survival of 3.5 years following treatment (range: 1 to 14 years). Indications for HSCT included malignancy (n =7) and immunodeficiency (n =6). Overall, 9% of patients in this cohort reached adulthood. Adult survivors reported diminished quality of life with significant physical and cognitive impairments. Our study highlights the need to improve timely diagnosis and clinical management of NBS among Eastern Slavs. Genetic counseling and screening should be offered to individuals with a family history of NBS, especially in hot spot regions. The study was performed for miscanthus introduced and grown in West Siberia. Transformation of miscanthus into bacterial nanocellulose was accomplished for the first time. The microbiological synthesis of bacterial nanocellulose using the Medusomyces gisevii Sa-12 symbiotic culture gave chemically pure bacterial nanocellulose with exceptionally high crystallinity index and content of Iα allomorph. Objective  This study determines the differences in the distal gut and vaginal microbiome in African American (AA) women by prepregnancy body mass index and gestational weight gain (GWG) comparing women with and without obesity and by obesity class. Study Design  We prospectively sampled the vaginal and distal gut microbiome in pregnant AA women at two time points during pregnancy. Samples were analyzed using high-throughput sequencing of the V4 region of the 16S ribosomal ribonucleic acid gene. Results  Distinct differences in vaginal and distal gut α-diversity were observed at time point 1 between women with and without obesity by total GWG. Significant differences in distal gut β-diversity were also found at time point 1 in obese women by GWG. Within the Bacteroides genus, a significant association was observed by total GWG among obese women which was absent in nonobese women. Women with class III obesity who experienced low GWG had the lowest abundance of distal gut Bacteroides and appreciably higher relative abundance of a consortia of vaginal taxa including Atopobium , Gardnerella , Prevotella , and Sneathia. Conclusion  These results contribute new evidence showing that GWG in combination with obesity and obesity class is associated with an altered distal gut and vaginal composition early in pregnancy among AA women. The compositions of alumoboro- and alumochromophosphate with a tetratomic alcohol, pentaerythritol, which is the component forming hydrogen and chemical bonds with the phosphate groups, are considered. The extremum dependence of the softening point on the concentration of pentaerythritol accompanied by a symbatic change in the moisture resistance is found. The heat and thermal resistance, oxygen index of the cured compositions, and bending strength of the composites reinforced by a basalt fabric are measured. The energy of the intermolecular bonds of the monomeric phosphate units with pentaerythritol is calculated, and computer modeling of the conformation of the complexes is performed. The use of proteases makes it possible to obtain partially hydrolyzed forms of macromolecules with unique properties. The importance of proteases for studying the structure and functions of fibrinogen forces scientists to search for new sources of highly specific proteases. Thus, the aim of this work was to study the content of the Pleurotus ostreatus culture fluid in search of fibrinogen-specific proteases. P. ostreatus was cultured for 14 days at 27°C. The culture fluid was collected and the protein fraction was salted out with NaCl and then dialyzed. Fibrinogen hydrolysis products by P. ostreatus protease were characterized using SDS PAGE under reducing conditions followed by immunoprobing using murine monoclonal antibodies I-5A (anti-Aα505-610) and 2d2a (anti-Bβ26-42). The study of turbidity and platelet aggregation was performed using a Multiskan FC spectrophotometric microplate reader and a SOLAR-2110 aggregometer, respectively. Electron microscopy of fibrils formed by truncated compared with native fibrins was performed using a transmission electron microscope N-600. Analysis of the products of fibrinogen hydrolysis with a fungal protease using SDS-PAGE demonstrated the cleavage of the alpha chain of fibrinogen exclusively with the formation of a truncated form of fibrinogen in which there are no C-terminal portions of αC regions with a molecular weight of 25 kDa. A study of turbidity showed that the polymerization of truncated fibrin is significantly impaired. The rate of lateral association of protofibrils significantly decreased from 1.5 to 2.2 times in the case of truncated fibrinogen compared to the native one depending on the initial concentration of fibrinogen. It was shown that platelet aggregation in the presence of fibrinogen without 25 kDa fragments of αC regions was less effective than in the presence of native fibrinogen. Application of the preparation of the fungal protease allows us to obtain high molecular forms of the fibrinogen molecule with cleaved 25 kDa peptides, which provide new information on the role of these peptides in the fibrinogen functioning. The interaction energies of fragments of aluminoborophosphate chains with water molecules and nitrogen-containing compounds are calculated using a density functional theory (DFT). The conformational changes of monomer units of aluminophosphate and molecular complexes during the formation of hydrogen bonds are analyzed. The complexation of aluminoborophosphate with various nitrogen-containing compounds, which leads to the displacement of water from the chain surface, is considered, and the thermal effects of complex formation are calculated. The demand for precursors obtained by biotechnological means is constantly growing in technical chemistry. The use of bioethanol is therefore of interest in the production of ethylene. In this work, Miscanthus sacchariflorus is used as a raw material for the production of bioethanol for the first time. The stage of the chemical treatment of miscanthus with 4 wt % nitric acid solution is successfully scaled-up under the conditions of pilot industrial production, and the products of nitric acid treatment (PNTs) are obtained with a yield of 37.4% and a 96.0% content of hydrolyzable components. It is shown that preliminary chemical treatment of miscanthus with nitric acid, regardless of its type, allows substrates with similar chemical compositions to be obtained. The process is scaled up for the first time in a fermenter with a capacity of 11 L (a scaling factor of 1 : 8) to combine the saccharification and fermentation of PNTs from miscanthus and raise the concentration of PNTs from 60.0 to 90.0 g/L. Commercially available enzyme preparations Cellolux-A and Bruzheim BGX are used for saccharification. Yeast strain VKPM Saccharomyces cerevisiae Y-1693 is used for fermentation. It is found that the concentration of bioethanol grows by 9.5 g/L upon raising the substrate concentration from 60.0 to 90.0 g/L. It is recommended that a substrate concentration of 90.0 g/L be used to scale up the process under trial industrial conditions. The reactions of oligomeric aluminoborophosphates with hexamethylenediamine and pentylamine are studied, as are the properties of the obtained products which are polycomplexes with the participation of hydrogen bonds, which is confirmed by the results of quantum chemical calculations. The changes in the relaxation properties of the polycomplexes are determined by the softening and flow temperatures measured by thermomechanical analysis. It is shown that the modification of polyphosphates by primary amines under mild conditions leads to an increase in the water resistance of the obtained polycomplexes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The possibility of synthesizing and processing incombustible materials based on oligomer and polymer oxides and their hybrids with organic and organoelement compounds at temperatures of 20–200°C is explored. Inorganic thermosetting plastics with a wide range of pour points (100–700°C) are synthesized. A more intense heat treatment can provide the formation of fireproof materials. Cast polymer–polymer blends of inorganic/organic polymers prepared by melt blending are studied. Bacterial nanocellulose, which was produced by Medusomyces gisevii Sa-12 cultured in enzymatic hydrolysates of Miscanthus, was studied by X-ray diffraction. The characteristics of the supramolecular structure of the crystalline component of cellulose samples, such as the degree of crystallinity and the size and shape of elementary fibrils, were determined. The atomic structure was compared with the known structural models of cellulose, and the synthesized bacterial nanocellulose was shown to be cellulose Iα. The lengths and angles of the triclinic unit cell were determined. The composition of the culture medium made from enzymatic hydrolysates of Miscanthus was found to have an effect on the shape and size of elementary fibrils and have no effect on the degree of crystallinity and the fraction of cellulose allomorph Іα. The use of Medusomyces gisevii Sa-12 as the producing organism allows the preparation of bacterial nanocellulose with a high degree of crystallinity in the range of 86–93% containing cellulose allomorph Іα as the major component. The conceptual possibility to synthesize bacterial cellulose nitrates with the use of commercial mixed acid was demonstrated. The initial bacterial cellulose was produced by the Medusomyces gisevii Sa-12 symbiotic culture in a synthetic nutrient broth in a Binder constant climate chamber. The resulting bacterial cellulose nitrate sample had 11.45% nitrogen content, 1900 cP viscosity, 15.8% solubility in ethanol—diethyl ether mixture, and 0.10% ash content. Cellulose nitrates corresponding in the basic properties to high-viscosity lacquer-grade colloxylin were prepared by esterification of cellulose pulp, isolated from domestic rapidly renewable feedstock—agroindustrial waste—oat hulls, or cotton cellulose with a sulfuric and nitric acid mixture. The experimental samples of cellulose nitrates were comparatively evaluated. The IR and 13С NMR spectroscopy data confirmed the identity of chemical structure. High chemical purity of samples was confirmed by differential scanning calorimetry and ampule chromatography procedure. The cellulose nitrate samples have satisfactory mechanical sensitivity level: the lower limit of impact sensitivity is 50 mm and that of friction sensitivity is 1200 kgf/cm2; they have good chemical compatibility and high chemical stability when blended with plasticizers. The results of remote detection of objects containing explosives with a lidar detector of traces of explosives in combination with a portable express gas chromatograph are presented. It is shown that the lidar detector of traces of explosives confidently detects the simulators of TNT, hexogen, and PETN from a distance of 5 m when sounding the surface of a sample. Laser action on the sample surface causes desorption of vapors, which are reliably detected by the gas chromatograph. It is shown that the joint use of the laser sounding and gas chromatography techniques makes it possible to increase the reliability of detection of explosives. Products are obtained from interaction between oligomeric aluminoborophosphate (ABP) and aniline, both complexes based on hydrogen bonds, as confirmed with IR spectroscopy and quantum chemical calculations. Nitrogen and hydrogen atoms of an amino group in aniline form hydrogen bonds with hydrogen and oxygen atoms of a phosphate group in ABP, respectively, with a total energy of 14.2 kcal/mol. Aniline, when added to ABP surrounded with a shell of water molecules, displaces two water molecules from the surface of the chain. The energy gain is 9.1 kcal/mol. IR spectroscopy data show that there are strong donor-acceptor interactions between water molecules and aluminum and phosphorus atoms of ABP in the solid-state polycomplex sample. The thermoplastic oligomeric complexes leads to an increase in the softening temperature and fluidity with an increase in an amount of aniline. This means that polyoxide inorganic polymer (metal phosphate) is possible to be modified with a monofunctional amine under "mild" conditions. Abstract: Samples of technical-grade cellulose isolated by nitric acid technique from unconventional feedstocks (oat hulls, Miscanthus, and intermediate flax straw) have been treated for the first time with a sulfuric acid-nitric acid mixture to give cellulose nitrates with a nitrogen content of 12.04-12.26%, viscosity 10-14 mPa s, and a solubility in an alcohol-ether mixture of at least 98%, which corresponds to industrial lacquer-purpose high-viscosity colloxylin and N-grade colloxylin. It has been confirmed by IR spectroscopy and differential scanning colorimetry that the cellulose nitrates from unconventional feedstocks correspond to industrial colloxylins in terms of the key absorption bands (1650-1635, 1279-1276, 831-825, 746, 687-672 cm-1), thermal degradation onset temperature (about 200°C), and specific heat of decomposition (6.28-7.54 kJ/g). Abstract: Bacterial nanocellulose (BNC) samples were produced by the symbiotic culture Мedusomyces gisevii Sa-12 in synthetic nutrient medium and enzymatic hydrolysates of chemically treated oat hulls and studied by X-ray diffraction. The structural characteristics of the crystalline component of BNC samples were determined. A comparison of the X-ray diffraction patterns recorded in reflection and transmission geometry shows that the samples have an anisotropic structure. All BNC samples are characterized by a high degree of crystallinity (from 86 to 93%) and are mainly composed of the low-symmetry metastable phase Iα (its fraction is 93.6-100%). The Мedusomyces gisevii Sa-12 culture was found to produce highly crystalline BNC, with the low-symmetry phase Iα prevailing, regardless of the composition of the nutrient medium. The paper proposes a two-stage algorithm for autonomous relative motion determination of noncooperative and unknown object flying in space. The algorithm is based on image processing and can be applied to motion determination of space debris with unknown geometry and dynamic characteristics. The first stage of the algorithm is aimed at forming a database of possible reference points of the object during continuous observation. Tensor of inertia, initial velocity, and angular velocity of the object are also estimated. Then, these parameters are used in the second stage of the algorithm to determine the relative motion in real time.
