This study aimed to investigate the extended factors based on the technology acceptance model, and the moderating roles of customer behavioral intention factors to use information technology. This research is a questionnaire-based survey with convenience sampling approach where 386 cases were collected from healthcare customers. For statistical analysis, the study used SmartPLS as a tool for regression analysis and descriptive statistics. The findings revealed the influence of social norm on customer behavioral intention to use information technology in the healthcare context as significant factors at 0.001. In addition, the results indicated the small effect of two moderating variables in the proposed model. First, the problematic body mass index (BMI) can be a moderator on the relationship between social norm and customer behavioral intention to use technology at a significant level of 0.05. Second, the technology experience can moderate the relationship between perceived ease of use and customer behavioral intention to use technology at a significant level of 0.05. Background: Executive Function and the Approximate Number System are well-established as critical components in developing the Cardinality Principle in young children. However, most existing studies explore the relationship between these variables in isolation without examining whether Approximate Number System mediates the relationship between Executive Function and the Cardinality Principle and the role of age in this. This study aimed to address this gap by investigating the mediating role of the Approximate Number System in the relationship between Executive Function and the Cardinality Principle and the moderating role of age in young children. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in China from February to June 2024. A total of 203 young children (97 boys and 106 girls, Mean age = 68.93 ± 7.076 months) participated. Participants were assessed using a range of tests: the Day-Night Stroop Task, Digit Recall Task, Dimensional Change Card Sort Task, Panamath Test Software, How Many Task, and Give-N Task to measure Executive Function, Approximate Number System, and Cardinality Principle. Data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS v4.1 (Model 4) to explore the relationships among Executive Function, the Approximate Number System, and the Cardinality Principle through Pearson correlations, multivariate regression, and mediation analysis with 5000 bootstrap samples. Results: Correlation analysis revealed that the Cardinality Principle was significantly and positively correlated with Inhibitory Control, Working Memory, Cognitive Flexibility, Executive Function, and the Approximate Number System. Regression analyses indicated that Executive Function positively predicted young children's Cardinality Principle. Specifically, Working Memory and Cognitive Flexibility were positive predictors of the Cardinality Principle, while Inhibitory Control was not. Mediation analysis results demonstrated that the Approximate Number System mediated the relationships between Inhibitory Control and the Cardinality Principle, Working Memory and the Cardinality Principle, and Cognitive Flexibility and the Cardinality Principle, respectively. In addition, the study found that young children's age negatively moderated the relationship between the Approximate Number System and the Cardinality Principle. Conclusions: The study emphasizes that in developing young children's Cardinality Principle, emphasis should be placed on improving their Executive Function and Approximate Number System while considering the age differences of young children and developing appropriate educational methods for different age groups. Background: Children's self‐care ability (SCA) is a very important part of early development and school readiness. Previous studies have shown that parenting style is essential factor that influence young children's SCA. However, much less is known about the association between different types of parenting styles and children's SCA, let alone the moderating role of executive function (EF). Methods: This study used measures such as parenting style, EF and SCA to survey children (N = 482) aged 3–7 years old and their parents. Results: The results indicated that democratic parenting style was positively correlated with children's SCA, while other parenting styles were negatively correlated with children's SCA. Moreover, with the exception of inconsistent parenting style and authoritarian parenting style, the predictive effect of parenting styles on young children's SCA is moderated by young children's EF: Democratic parenting styles and children's SCA were significantly and positively correlated when children's EF was high rather than low; coddling and permissive parenting styles and children's SCA were significantly and negatively correlated when children's EF was high rather than low. When organizations or managers utilize personality assessments for their workers, it is crucial to consider not only personality profiles but also the interaction between these profiles and the psychosocial environmental factors in the workplace. The present study aimed to examine the moderating effects of the five-factor model (FFM) of personality traits on the relationship between job demands/resources and work engagement (WE). A cross-sectional online survey was conducted between November and December 2022, targeting full-time workers in Japan. Data were collected from 1500 participants (757 men and 743 women). The survey included demographic variables, job demands and resources (job control, supervisor, and coworker support), WE, and the FFM. The primary statistical analysis was hierarchical regression analysis, which tested the interactions between job demands/resources and each personality trait. Four significant interactions were found: job demands and neuroticism, control and neuroticism, control and conscientiousness, and supervisor support and extraversion. High conscientiousness was associated with higher WE when job control was abundant. Moreover, low levels of both neuroticism and extraversion were linked to higher WE. The results suggest that managers can enhance WE by aligning workplace factors with employee personality traits. These insights can be applied to organizational staffing decisions. The study's goal is to investigate the moderating effect of the workplace spirituality of employee on the relationship between their organization's justice perception and job satisfaction. The study included a sample of 360 employees from two Turkish airline companies. The findings show a relationship between organizational justice and job satisfaction. The study also finds that workplace spirituality moderates the effect of organizational justice on job satisfaction. Employees with high workplace spirituality are more satisfied than those with low workplace spirituality. The study is important, especially in examining the moderator role of workplace spirituality between these two variables, and fills a gap in the literature. Empirical data of Turkiye's two largest airline companies, which aim to become and remain competitive in the aviation industry, were shared. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to delve into the complex interplay between earnings management (EM), the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) implementation and the reporting lag (RL) within the specific context of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, with a particular emphasis on the Saudi context, offering insights into their influence on financial reporting practices. Design/methodology/approach: Using a panel data set of 135 Saudi companies over an eight-year period, covering four years before and after the mandatory adoption of IFRS in 2017, this study investigates the Saudi financial reporting landscape. It uses interaction moderation analysis to explore variable effects and includes robustness analyses to validate the findings. Findings: The findings reveal three key outcomes. First, they challenge conventional expectations by showing no significant impact of discretionary accruals (DACC) on RL, contrary to established accounting theories. This deviation is attributed to unique market characteristics within the GCC region, including family-owned businesses, government involvement and distinct regulations, with specific insights relevant to Saudi Arabia. Second, an unexpected positive association between IFRS adoption and RL in Saudi Arabia emerged. Several contextual factors contribute, including transition costs, compliance expenses, institutional dynamics and reconciling IFRS with local Shariah principles. Most importantly, IFRS adoption significantly reduced RL, especially for companies with high DACC levels. This highlights IFRS's transformative role, emphasizes aligning EM with international standards for investor confidence and mitigating nonconformity risks in the GCC region's business landscape. Practical implications: The research findings carry significant practical implications for companies operating within the GCC region, accentuating the strategic imperative of timely financial reporting to bolster credibility, align with international standards and fortify investor confidence. Moreover, regulators and policymakers are urged to consider tailoring accounting regulations to accommodate the distinctive GCC context, thereby adeptly addressing the intricacies stemming from the interplay of EM, IFRS adoption and RL dynamics in the region. This paper seeks to establish how employee training mediates the relationship between people analytics and employee performance in organized retail stores. People analytics, the use of data to inform human capital decision making, has been popularized as a strategy for increasing workplace productivity. However, the utilization of these analytics can be affected by some factors such as lack and/or poor quality of training programmes for employees. The following is the research question that is in line with the objective of this research: Is training a moderating factor that will help in cementing the positive relationship between people analytics and employees' performance? The data was collected through a quantitative survey of employees and managers in organized retail stores in Punjab. Data analysis was done using regression analysis to confirm the proposed hypotheses and moderation analysis. The research evidence shows that with employee training, people analytics has a positive effect on performance as the application of data-driven insights is enhanced. This study highlights the important finding that organizations can achieve more effective people analytics training and ensure better employee outcomes as a consequence by focusing on the areas of greatest benefit. This research enriches the body of knowledge in human resource analytics through underlining the role of training as an essential element in the enhancement of performance through the application of people analytics. The internal disturbances that have occurred in Syria since 2011 have led to the displacement of many Syrians and their exposure to stressful life events. In this context, this study aimed to examine the amplifying dimension of suffering experienced by Syrian refugees in terms of various variables. Within this scope, the moderating role of perceived social support on the impact of events on post-traumatic growth among Syrian refugees was investigated. This descriptive study, designed according to the relational survey model, was conducted on 448 Syrian refugees in Turkey, who were included using a random sampling method. The data collection tools in this study included the Impact of Events Scale, the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, and the Post-traumatic Growth Scale. According to the analysis of the results, it was found that in Syrian refugees, the impact of events on post-traumatic growth is significantly moderated by family support, support from friends, and support from a significant other. A critical debate on whether macro economies would achieve sustainability targets via green innovations could reach some informed consensus, given it is explicit how those innovations, directly and indirectly, interact with both economic and ecological systems through international economic activities. To unriddle this puzzle, this work is the initial attempt to examine how green innovation moderates the influence of economic openness and export diversification on eco‐efficiency in selected 13 European Union (EU) economies from 1995 to 2014. We employ advanced second‐generation econometric approaches robust to cross‐section dependence, slope heterogeneity, and the omitted variable bias concerns in panel data. The main results are firstly, economic openness and export diversification tend to deteriorate eco‐efficiency in the absence of a green innovation moderator. Secondly, in green innovation moderation models, both economic openness and export diversification are likely to improve eco‐efficiency. Thirdly, green innovation not only directly promotes eco‐efficiency but also positively moderates the influence of economic openness and export diversification on eco‐efficiency. Fourthly, a one‐way causality exists from green innovation moderators to eco‐efficiency, while economic openness, export diversification, green innovation, and other control variables establish a two‐way causal relationship with eco‐efficiency. Finally, for green innovation in place, the policy shocks of economic openness and export diversification are predicted to achieve the eco‐efficiency effects in more than 1 year in the EU members, while green innovation catalyses this convergence speed. This paper aimed to explore the potential factors of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on Chinese undergraduates' psychological distress (PD), as well as the moderating impact of coping styles and social support in this relationship. 5638 Chinese college students in Chengdu were randomly selected for an online survey. 10-item Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10), the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ) and the Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS) were used in this paper. In SPSS 17, one-way ANOVA, multiple linear regression and 95% confidence were used to observe the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics, COVID-19 exposure, coping styles, social support and PD of college students. The PD prevalence rate of our sample during the pandemic was 45.5%. Males, students with a romantic relationship, those spending more time on COVID-19, worrying about getting infected, those whose cohabitants were nervous about COVID-19, higher scores of negative coping style, lower positive coping style and social support scores had a higher risk of experiencing PD. The relationship between the nervousness of cohabitants about COVID-19 and the occurrence of PD was moderated by positive coping. Based on the serious psychological condition of Chinese college students during COVID-19. There is an urgent need to enhance the positive coping styles of college students, and systematic support for their mental health is crucial. This study investigates how presenteeism (PRES) influences job performance (JP), with a specific focus on how organisational attractiveness (OA) moderates this relationship. Conducted with 500 employees from a Turkish call centre in the communication sector, situated in Erzincan province, findings reveal that PRES adversely impacts JP. However, OA acts as a significant buffer, diminishing PRES's negative effects. Notably, when employees’ OA perceptions are high, PRES has less of a negative impact on their JP. This study investigates the relationship between stress and burnout related to the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on the moderating influence of positive and negative coping strategies. In a cross-sectional survey involving 3,664 Vietnamese citizens aged 18 and above, the research explores the dynamics of stress and burnout symptoms associated with the ongoing pandemic. The results reveal a negative impact of stress symptoms on COVID-19-related burnout among the population. Notably, both positive and negative coping strategies are identified as significant moderators in the interplay between stress and burnout. This suggests that individuals' coping mechanisms influence the severity of stress and burnout experienced in dealing with COVID-19 challenges. These findings contribute to the foundational understanding of the stress-burnout relationship during the pandemic and provide essential insights for interventions. By recognizing the moderating role of coping strategies, this study lays the groundwork for strategies aimed at enhancing individuals' coping abilities, ultimately reducing stress and burnout levels. These insights hold the potential to assist individuals in adapting more effectively to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, fostering improved mental well-being in the face of ongoing uncertainties. Introduction: Patriotism, a positive emotional attachment to one's country, has been associated with prosocial behavior, social responsibility, and gratitude. It plays a crucial role in promoting social harmony and national development. However, the factors influencing patriotism and their mechanisms remain unclear. This research consists of two studies exploring the internal mechanisms that connect gratitude and patriotism. Methods: Study 1 conducted a cross-sectional analysis among 3,826 college students to investigate the influence of gratitude on patriotism, emphasizing the mediating role of general life satisfaction and the moderating impact of socioeconomic status. This approach aimed to elucidate the complex relationships between these variables within college students. Study 2 adopted a longitudinal approach, surveying 905 college students across three-time points. This study was designed to explore the temporal mediation of general life satisfaction in the gratitude-patriotism relationship, offering insights into the evolution of these constructs over time. The sequential surveys aimed to capture the dynamic nature of gratitude's impact on patriotism, considering the continuous interplay with general life satisfaction among college students. Results: Study 1 reveals a noteworthy finding: Gratitude enables the direct prediction of patriotism, while additionally, general life satisfaction plays a role between them. Furthermore, the predictive effect of gratitude on patriotism is strengthened among individuals with higher levels of socioeconomic status. However, there is no significant moderating effect between general life satisfaction and patriotism by socioeconomic status. Study 2 demonstrates that general life satisfaction plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between gratitude and patriotism, over a period of three times. However, the moderating influence of socioeconomic status was not substantiated in the longitudinal mediation model. Conclusion: These two studies shed light on the complex relationship between gratitude and patriotism. They emphasize the significance of gratitude, general life satisfaction, and socioeconomic status in shaping patriotism, offering potential avenues for understanding the internal mechanisms that influence patriotism. Financial inclusion is critical in extending financial services to even the most remote people, thereby contributing to economic prosperity by creating revenues. Nevertheless, researchers all across the world have discovered that economic and financial events frequently disrupt financial inclusion. Considering the growing importance of financial inclusion, the current study attempts to analyze how economic policy uncertainty influences financial inclusion in BRICS countries. Moreover, the study also examines the moderating role of quality of governance on the nexus of financial inclusion and economic policy uncertainty. In order to attain the above objectives, the study employs a two-step system-generalized method of moments. In addition, the study employs SELPDM method as a robustness measure on the panel data spanning from 2004 to 2021. The empirical outcome reveals that high economic policy uncertainty reduces financial inclusion in BRICS countries. However, when the index of quality of governance, constructed using principal component analysis, interacts with economic policy uncertainty, it moderates detrimental impact of economic policy uncertainty on financial inclusion. The finding assists in understanding the nexus of financial inclusion and economic policy uncertainty. Moreover, it also helps policymakers to comprehend the moderating role of quality of governance on the nexus of financial inclusion and economic policy uncertainty and offers valuable recommendations. Introduction: In today's digital economy, data resources have gained strategic recognition. Enterprises view data analytic capabilities as a core organizational competitiveness. This study explored factors influencing college students' continuance learning intention in data analysis technology courses to inform the role of self-efficacy on the relationship between interactivity and continuance learning intention. Methods: The research model underpinning the study was based on the Stimulus-Organism-Response model and flow theory. The model was validated using SmartPLS. A total of 314 valid questionnaires were collected via the standard online survey approach. Results: Among internal factors, study results showed both cognitive interest and self-efficacy had significant positive effects on continuance learning intention. Also, cognitive interest had a significant positive effect on self-efficacy. Among external stimuli, content quality, software quality, and interactivity had significant positive effects on self-efficacy. Software quality did not have a significant effect on cognitive interest. Importantly, self-efficacy registered a significant moderating role on the relationship between interactivity and continuance learning intention. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim: This study investigates the relationship between Work-Family Conflict (WFC) and the individual's experience of burnout by considering the moderating role of a stressful working environment. Material and Methods: The questionnaire holds "Work-Family Conflict" and consists of eight questions adopted from Carlson and Perrewé (1999). "Burnout" consists of three subconstructs, namely "Emotional exhaustion", which carries four questions, "Depersonalization", which has four questions, and "Personal accomplishment", holding three questions adopted from Maslach Burnout Inventory (Maslach and Jackson, 1981). And finally, "Stressful work environment" consists of 10 questions adopted from Gershon (1999). The research instrument was distributed among women police working in Chennai and Kanchipuram regions. The data from 427 women police personnel were collected through a questionnaire using a simple random sampling method. Statistical Analysis Used: First, exploratory factor analysis was performed to test the standardization and tested for reliability using Cronbach's alpha test. It found that all loadings are between 0.649 and 0.866, which is satisfactory. Second, for demographic questionnaire items, descriptive statistics were performed. Finally, to find the moderating effects of stressful work environment on the relationship between WFC and the individual's experience of burnout, multiple hierarchical regression analysis was computed. Results: The results show that WFC positively affects burnout and it has been found that a stressful working environment moderates the relationship. It also supports that individuals experience a high level of burnout when the working environment and WFC are intense. Conclusion: The result supports that individuals experience high burnout when the working environment and WFC are intense. The purpose of this study is to investigate the function of justice as a moderator in the relationship between assault at work and teachers' perceptions of job satisfaction. The relational survey model of quantitative research methodology was used to ascertain the relationship between the study's variables. The sample of the research consists of 312 teachers working in one of the central districts of a city in the south of Turkey. Data was collected using assault on duty, justice, and work satisfaction scales. The data were analyzed with the help of an SPSS package program. The arithmetic mean, standard deviation, standard error, correlation, multiple regression, and modulating effect plot were used to analyze the data quantitatively. According to the findings of the study, it was determined that there is a negative relationship between an assault on duty and job satisfaction. In addition, as a result of the regression analysis, the moderating role of justice was found in the relationship between assault on duty and job satisfaction. According to this result, negative behavior, such as pressure, violence, intimidation, and deterrence, should be eliminated to improve teachers' productivity and performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: The topics of the Toxic Work Environment (TWE), Employee Well-Being (EWB), and Emotional Intelligence (EI) are becoming more relevant in today’s workplace. However, there is a lack of research examining the moderating role of EI in the impact of TWE on EWB, and associated demographic variables. Methods: Researchers employed convenience sampling, a quantitative method, and a cross-sectional study design with 208 employees (n= 208 participants) with previously used standard instruments; while ensuring reliability, and validity. Descriptive statistics and regression analysis were employed during the data analysis stage to test the hypotheses for the study. Results: According to the study, TWE could have negative effects on EWB, whereas EI had no discernible moderating influence. EI did not diminish the impact, according to the results of the regression analysis (b = 0.134, 95% CI [-0.79-1.059], t = 0.28, sig = 0.775, p > 0.05). EI, however, is a valuable skill. The survey also discovered a significant difference in EI between married and unmarried employees. Conclusion: It is crucial to identify the impact of TWE on EWB. While EI is a vital skill, this study found that EI did not play a moderating role between TWE and EWB. Therefore, organizations should prioritize addressing toxic behaviors and promoting a healthy work environment. However, limitations such as the use of self-reported and private data may restrict the study’s feasibility. This study investigates the relationship between financial constraints and corporate fraud commission and its detection and the moderating role of short selling using a partial observable bivariate probit model. First, financially constrained corporations are more likely to commit fraud and their fraudulent behaviours are less likely to be detected. Second, short selling has an interesting effect on corporate fraud. On the one hand, short selling has a direct restraining effect on corporate fraud commission and increases the likelihood of corporate fraud detection. On the other hand, short selling plays a moderating role in the relationship between financial constraints and corporate fraud. This study contributes to the corporate fraud literature by analysing the factors influencing corporate fraud and provides theoretical support for regulators and managers in monitoring fraudulent behaviour. Purpose: This study aims to investigate the moderating role of perceived organizational support in the relationship between ethical leadership and innovative work behavior (IWB) among public university academic staff. Design/methodology/approach: Using a quantitative approach, the authors relied on structural equation modeling together with bootstrapping procedure using Process Macro of the SPSS to analyze data from a homogenous sample of 291 academic staff from the university education sector in Uganda. Findings: The finding from bootstrapping procedure using Process Macro of the SPSS as statistic tool support perceived organizational support as a moderator in the ethical leadership–IWB relationship. In general, the present findings suggest that ethical leadership is associated with IWB via perceived organization support. Practical implications: Enhanced IWB requires diverse and integrated techniques based on ethical leadership principles and perceived organizational support among employees. Originality/value: There is increasing acknowledgement of the importance of ethical leadership in successful employee IWBs. Within this context, to the best of the authors' knowledge, no prior study has empirically explored the moderating role of POS in the relationship between ethical leadership and IWB. The growth‐energy‐environment relationship has been debated over the last decades. The devastating impacts of economic growth and energy consumption on the environment have concerned environmental stakeholders worldwide. Although education has been identified as an essential determinant of environmental degradation, its moderating role is overlooked in the literature. This study examines the direct and moderating roles of education in the growth‐energy‐environment relationship in 23 African countries. The panel mean group (MG), pooled mean group (PMG), fully modified ordinary least squares (FMOLS) and the Driscoll–Kraay standard errors are used for the analysis. The study finds that the direct and moderating roles of education aggravate environmental degradation. The findings also reveal that the marginal impacts of energy consumption are contingent upon education and increase environmental degradation. Open innovation (OI) has great significance in innovation management. OI builds a bridge between firms and other organizations, which can help firms to quickly integrate into value chain innovation and discover the value stored in external resources, and thus can improve the performance of firms. The Chinese economy is accelerating its high-quality development. In this process, the importance of social capital is emphasized. However, less evidence is provided to discuss whether and how social capital from the resource perspective affects OI and firm performance. Therefore, we constructed a moderating model to deeply examine the mechanisms of the two models of the effects of inbound OI and outbound OI on firm performance and the impact of multidimensional social capital within it from the resource perspective. Our sample comprises 6899 observations of 1850 A-share listed manufacturing firms in China from 2016 to 2020. Considering the lag of resources into firm profitability, we decided to lag the firm performance by one year behind other indicators, so the sample data cover the period of 2016–2021. Then, we used Excel 2019 to complete the calculations of indicators and used multiple regression analysis of STATA17 to test the hypotheses. It is found that inbound and outbound OI have an inverted U-shaped relationship with firm performance. Institutional and technological social capital positively moderates the relationship between inbound and outbound OI and firm performance. Compared with the other two types of social capital, market social capital is the most widely owned among the sample firms, but its moderating effect is insignificant. The findings enrich and expand theoretical research on OI and firm performance and guide firms to implement OI, promoting their sustainable development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aims and objectives: To analyse the status quo and influencing factors of self‐care ability in breast cancer‐related lymphedema (BCRL) patients and explore the moderating role of social support between self‐efficacy and self‐care ability, to provide references for clinical intervention. Background: The 'gold standard' for the treatment of lymphedema is two‐stage Complete Decongestion Therapy (CDT). Due to the high frequency of patients seeking treatment and CDT is not covered by medical insurance, resulting the medical cost is high, and a set integrated course of edema treatment cannot be completed. Nevertheless, with sufficient self‐care ability, patients can reduce the frequency of outpatient and inpatient treatments, and initiate detumescence procedures with affordable home care. Accordingly, it is necessary to pay attention to the self‐care ability of BCRL patients. Design: A descriptive and cross‐sectional study following the STROBE guideline checklist. Methods: From June 2021 to January 2022, 156 BCRL patients were selected as convenience samples. Questionnaires were administered to the patients using the sociodemographic information questionnaire, the exercise of self‐care agency scale, Chinese version of strategies used by people to promote health, and social support rating scale. Spearman rank correlation was used to analyse the relationship among the three, and univariate and multiple linear regression were used for factor analysis and process to explore the moderating role of social support. Results: The total score of self‐care ability of BCRL patients was 41.00 (32.50, 51.00). The self‐efficacy and social support of BCRL patients were positively correlated with the total score and its dimensions of self‐care ability. Disease duration, severity and difficulty raising limbs were negative correlation factors influencing the self‐care ability of BCRL patients, and self‐efficacy and social support were positive correlation factors, which could explain 77.8% of the total variation. The moderating role of social support between self‐efficacy and self‐care ability was significant, and its moderating role boundary value was 15.70. Conclusions: The self‐care ability of BCRL patients is at a low level. The longer duration of lymphedema, the more serious degree of edema, the more difficulty raising limbs, the lower self‐efficacy and the less social support, the poorer self‐care ability of BCRL patients. Self‐efficacy has a greater impact on the self‐care ability of patients with high levels of social support. Relevance to clinical practice: Factors and moderator‐based models are the first to identify predictors of self‐care ability and the moderating role of social support in Chinese BCRL patients, which may facilitate healthcare practitioners to develop appropriate interventions to manage self‐care ability. Purpose: The purpose of the article is to investigate the role of talent management and employee psychological contract on employer branding and to develop a pragmatic conceptual model while identifying gaps between core concepts. Design/methodology/approach: The archival method was adopted along with systematic review based on Khan et al.'s (2003) five steps of systematic literature review. The systematic review has enclosed published research articles between 1960 and 2022 in fields of human resource management (HRM), brand management and psychology. In total, 260 Articles were initially scrutinized, and 230 were systematically reviewed finally to explore core concepts, identify gaps and model development. Findings: This study explored five gaps among key concepts based on systematic review and linked theories, namely, social exchange theory and signaling theory. A conceptual model has been developed to explore the impact of talent management on employer branding with mediating and moderating role of employee psychological contract. Research limitations/implications: This study is limited to conceptual model development; nevertheless, there is enormous scope for empirically testing the model related to various global contexts in future studies. Originality/value: The developed conceptual model is a vibrant contribution for future investigations of impact of talent management on employer branding with mediating and moderating role of employee psychological contract in diverse global contexts in wining "war for talent." In this study, to discover how the growth of digital agriculture has impacted agricultural green total factor productivity (AGTFP), we take panel data from 2011 to 2019 for 30 Chinese provinces as the research object, measure the growth of AGTFP and digital agriculture development using the SBM-ML and entropy method, and use a fixed effect model to analyze the effects of digital agriculture development on AGTFP. The results demonstrate that (1) from the time-series characteristics, digital agriculture presented a steady growth state from 2011 to 2019; (2) during the study period, the technical efficiency index was slightly lower than the technological progress index in the AGTFP index, meaning that there is room for further development; (3) the relationship between the growth of digital agriculture and AGTFP presents an inverted U-shaped curve, with human capital playing a moderating role. Finally, corresponding countermeasures are proposed in four aspects: strengthening the construction of organizational mechanisms, building a standardized base for digital agriculture output, enhancing the traceability and certification of agricultural products, and improving social services in the agricultural industry. The present study investigates the moderating role of financial development in environmental degradation in India. This study uses time‐series data for a period of 46 years from 1971 to 2016 and employs an autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) bound testing approach with two models (direct effect and moderating effect). The study reveals that economic growth and non‐renewable energy consumption are the main factors that worsen environmental quality in India while the impact of financial development on carbon emissions is negatively significant. Further, the findings of this study confirm the significant moderating effect of financial development on the impact of economic growth on carbon emissions. The objective of the paper is to examine determinants of the extent of usage of accounting information by the Public Accounts Committee in Tanzania public corporations moderated by effective communication. This study's guiding theories are an agency, accounting information usefulness, and communication. The study used a positivist philosophy, deductive approach, and cross-sectional survey design. The researcher used quantitative data analysis focused on 110 questionnaires made by PAC members and nonmembers. The Partial Least Square --Structural Equation Modeling [PLS-SEM] was used to support multivariate statistical analysis. The study reported a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.584, implying that trust in accounting information, perception of quality of accounting information, knowledge of accounting information, and effective communication moderated by effective communication explains a 58.4% variation in the extent of usage of accounting information. The study results showed that trust in accounting information and knowledge of accounting information has a statistically significant positive impact on the extent of use of accounting information. The perception of the quality of accounting information and effective communication had a statistically insignificant positive effect on the extent of accounting information usage. Besides, the study results confirmed the absence of moderating effects of effective communication of accounting information on the relationships between determinants of accounting information usage and the extent of use of accounting information. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the direct association between firms' corporate social responsibility (CSR) scores, CSR disclosures and executive compensation. This study further investigates the moderating role of CSR in the association between executive compensation and firms' stock market and accounting performances. Design/methodology/approach: This study collects CEO compensation information from the Execucomp database and CSR performance information from the MSCI ESG database. The final sample consists of 4,193 firm-year observations for 1,318 US public firms for the period 2009–2013. This study uses lagged regression analysis to test the direct and moderating roles of CSR in executive compensation. Findings: Regarding the direct role of CSR, this study finds that CEO compensation is positively related to CSR performance but not to firms' issuance of CSR reports. This study also finds a positive moderating role of CSR in the relationship between CEO compensation and firms' stock performance. However, the authors do not identify any role for CSR in the relationship between CEO compensation and accounting performance. The results also show a negative association of CSR in the relationship between CEO compensation and firm size. Originality/value: This study fills a gap in the literature by providing empirical evidence on the direct association between CSR and CEO compensation and how the association between CEO compensation and firm performance is moderated by CSR scores. Background: Pakistan has challenges in fulfilling its universal responsibilities of providing better health facilities to everyone. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates. Despite declines in mother and child death, the total mortality ratio has marginally increased. However, neonatal death has not decreased significantly. Family planning is important for controlling population growth and improving child as well as maternal health. Pakistan's government has unceasingly tried to enhance the provision of contraceptive facilities, but still, an unmet need for family planning (UMNFP) exists in our country. Women are said to have UMNFP if they want to limit or space childbearing, but they are not using contraception methods for any reason. The study aimed to explore the effect of the UMNFP and to investigate the moderating role of a mother's education and employment status on a child's health. Methods: We analyzed the data of 2,244 women in this study. To investigate the study objectives, we utilized the secondary dataset of the Pakistan Demographic and Health Survey (PDHS) 2017–18 (publicly available on the website of the National Institute of Population Studies) and applied binary logistic regression using SPSS 24. Results: Results suggest a positive effect of a woman's age (25 to 39 years), maternal education (higher), father's education (higher), family's wealth status (richest), mass media exposure, and adequate birth spacing (at least for 33 months) on a child's health. On the other hand, there is an indirect association between maternal employment, unmet need for family planning, and a child's health. The moderating role of maternal education and employment on the relationship between household wealth status and a child's health is positive. Conclusions: We conclude that the strong predictors of child health are UMNFP, maternal education, and employment. The link between the met need for family planning and the child's health is positive. The moderating effect of maternal education and household wealth status on a child's health is progressive. Similarly, the interaction effect of a mother's employment and household wealth status on a child's health is positive. Finally, we concluded that the link between the health of the child and household wealth status is much more diverse and positive when the mother is highly educated and currently employed. This study explores the relationship between the founder's entrepreneurial experience and new venture performance in the China's emerging economy. Based on a sample of ventures in the southern region of China, we demonstrate that the relationship between entrepreneurial experience and performance in Chinese ventures is nonlinear. The empirical study reveals that a high level of experience has a negative impact on performance and there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between the founder's entrepreneurial experience and new venture performance under the context of the China's emerging economy. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the integration of algorithms in online platforms to facilitate people’s work and life. Algorithms are increasingly being utilized to tailor the selection and presentation of online content. Users’ awareness of algorithmic curation influences their ability to properly calibrate their reception of online content and interact with it accordingly. However, there has been a lack of research exploring the factors that contribute to users’ algorithmic awareness, especially in the roles of personality traits. In this study, we explore the influence of Big Five personality traits on internet users’ algorithmic awareness of online content and examine the mediating effect of previous knowledge and moderating effect of breadth of internet use in in China during the pandemic era. We adapted the 13-item Algorithmic Media Content Awareness Scale (AMCA-scale) to survey users’ algorithmic awareness of online content in four dimensions. Our data were collected using a survey of a random sample of internet users in China (n = 885). The results of this study supported the moderated mediation model of openmindedness, previous knowledge, breadth of internet use, and algorithmic awareness. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a vital factor in how organizations run their businesses. Consumers are becoming more aware of it and are expecting it from organizations. With the rise of social media, organizations have another channel to communicate their CSR activities to their stakeholders. A good deal of research has been conducted on CSR and its relation to consumers. However, there is limited research on its influence on consumers via social media channels. Therefore, this research studied the impact of an organization's CSR activities on consumer purchase intention with the mediating effect of consumer engagement via social media. A total of 21 questionnaire surveys were provided. A sample size of 250 responses was successfully collected via different social media platforms. Results show that ethical responsibility has a positive significant impact on customer engagement (15%) and purchase intentions (35%). Environmental responsibility has a positive significant impact on consumer engagement (11%) and purchase intentions (18%). Meanwhile, Philanthropic Responsibility and Economic Responsibility have an insignificant effect on Customer engagement. Customer engagement has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Intension (47%). Finally, the purchasing intention of consumers is mediated positively and significantly by consumer engagement with CSR activities on social media. In addition, consumer engagement with CSR activities on social media has a positive impact on purchase intention. However, contrary to other research, economic and philanthropic responsibilities have no significant impact on consumer engagement with social media activities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Environmental concerns are growing globally. The world has suffered severe environmental deterioration over the years. Undeniably, the impact of environmental degradation on the earth's geographical space is alarming, making environmental stakeholders to be worried. Existing literature has examined several factors affecting the environment, but the focus has now shifted to education and the need to maximize its potentials. Although studies have examined the direct impacts of education on the environment, those investigating its moderating role are relatively new and scarce, particularly across income groups. Understanding the channel through which education might affect the environment requires the knowledge of its moderating role. Therefore, this study employs FMOLS, DOLS, ARDL-PMG, CCEMG and heterogeneous panel causality test methodologies to investigate the direct and moderating effects of education in the growth-energy-environment linkages in heterogeneous income groups of 92 countries from 1985 to 2018. Results: The findings of this study indicate that economic growth is a long-term solution to environmental deterioration in high and upper-middle-income countries, while the opposite holds for lower-middle-income and low-income countries. In addition, energy consumption is linked with environmental degradation across all income groups. Also, the study finds that education's direct effects aggravate environmental degradation across all income groups. Moreover, its moderating role ameliorates the adverse effects of energy consumption on environmental degradation in high and upper-middle-income groups but worsens it in the lower-middle-income and low-income groups. Conclusion: This study examines the role of education in economic growth, energy consumption and environmental degradation nexus. The study concludes that education is important for environmental sustainability as it encourages pro-environmental behaviors and attitudes and supports energy-efficient products and investments in green technologies. However, education may also aid energy-intensive activities and dirty technology by supporting lifestyles that are not eco-friendly. Background: Social media dependence (SMD) and eating disorders (ED) risk are often thought to be inextricably linked. Because social media dependence often precedes an ED, predicts poor outcome, and persists even after recovery from an ED, it is important to examine whether certain factors have the ability to potentially attenuate or intensify SMD's effect on eating disorders. Methods: In the current study, we examined one possible moderating factor: impulsiveness. 767 undergraduates (mean age = 18.78 years, SD = 1.20) in Shaanxi province of China, completed anonymous questionnaires regarding social media dependence, eating disorders, impulsiveness. Results: Revealed that non-planned impulsiveness (NPI) moderated the relation between SMD and ED risk. Individuals who were low in SMD and who reported low levels of NPI reported much lower levels of ED risk than those with low SMD and high NPI. However, Individuals who were high in SMD and who reported low levels of NPI reported much higher levels of ED risk than those with high SMD and high NPI. Contrary to our hypotheses, Motor impulsiveness and cognitive impulsiveness did not emerge as moderators of the relation between SMD and ED risk. Conclusions: Results provide growing support that factors that interact with SMD can lessen or aggravate SMD's effect on ED risk. Purpose: There has been a rapid generational change in the business world in Turkey recently, and X generation managers are rapidly leaving their place to Y generation managers. In countries with relatively young populations such as Turkey, management in family businesses passes into the hands of Generation Y. This study aims to examine the moderator role of the difference between old and new generation Y in the effect of self-efficacy perceptions on decision-making strategies. Design/methodology/approach: This research, which was designed according to the quantitative research method, was designed according to the cross-sectional survey model, one of the general survey models. The research data were collected from a sample of 441 family business managers determined according to the simple random sampling technique. The data were analyzed and interpreted with various statistical techniques. Data analysis was done with AMOS. 20 and International Business Machines statistical package for the social sciences 22 data analysis programs. Findings: According to the analysis findings, there is a significant relationship between the participants' self-efficacy perceptions and decision-making strategies. Research findings old and new generation Y managers have different decision strategies. The research results showed that the dominant self-efficacy perceptions of the Y generation affect their decision-making strategies. Research limitations/implications: This research only examines whether the old and new generation Y perceptions have a moderator function in the relationship between the participants' self-efficacy perceptions and decision-making strategies. The research is quantitative research limited to family businesses. The results can be compared by repeating the research with other variables and in different samples, for example, by researching in public institutions. In addition, the way of reflecting the differences in perception to the management can be subjected to deeper analysis with mixed studies. Practical implications: One of the important reasons for the difference in people's approaches to events is their personality structure. Generational differences, which have been discussed primarily in recent years, make themselves felt in working life. The new working models arising from the different perspectives of the Y generation differ from the traditional business models. Today, in traditional business models, the manager profile is usually the X generation. However, the process is moving toward gaining essential positions in the management levels of the new Y generation. They put traditional managers in a difficult situation with their impatient behavior and desire to climb the career ladder quickly. Social implications: In the studies conducted on the Y generation, it is understood that they do not favor the classical management approach based on the command-command relationship. The sense of loyalty of the Y generation is low compared to other generations and their organizational commitment levels are weak. There are determinations that they attach importance to flexible working style and want to do business using digital technologies. They are highly motivated in setting vision and participating in strategic decisions in organizations. These features differ significantly from the X-generation managers who adopt the traditional management approach. Originality/value: Both emotional and cognitive characteristics influence decision-making behavior. The generation gap which shows common personality structures in a certain period is an important predictor of decision-making strategy. Research results and related studies significantly affect the decision strategies of the generation gap. No research has been found comparing the old and new Y generations. Technological innovation fundamentally drives sustainable economic development, and green finance provides an institutional guarantee for technological innovation. In this study, we obtained the data from 31 provinces of China during 2010–2019 to set up a green finance indicator system following the entropy method. The focal points in this paper are investigating the relationship regarding green finance and corporate technological innovation, and whether corporate social responsibility (CSR) strengthens such relationship. To do so, we matched the data of non-financial listed companies. The results are as follows: (1) Green finance can significantly enhance corporate technological innovation, and CSR has a positive moderating effect on this relationship between green finance and corporate technological innovation. (2) Based on the results of heterogeneity analysis, the positive impacts regarding green finance over technological innovation are more significant in larger companies, and companies in more economically developed eastern regions. More notably, green finance played a more significant role before 2016 than after. The present study aimed to evaluate psychological distress and scrutinized whether family resilience plays a moderating role in the association between infertility-related stress and psychological distress among infertile females preparing for their first IVF-ET. A total of 492 infertile females completed self-reported measures including the Kessler 10 Psychological Distress Scale (K10), the fertility problem inventory (FPI), and the Family Resilience Assessment Scale (FRAS). The results showed 21 (65.2%) participants reported moderate or higher levels of psychological distress. While controlling for economic status, we found psychological distress to be positively linked to infertility-related stress (β=0.483, P<0.001), and negatively related to family resilience (β=-0.145, P=0.001). The simple slopes analysis showed that infertility-related stress had a weaker positive association with psychological distress for individuals at 1 SD (β = 0.443, P < 0.001) above the mean on family resilience compared to those at 1 SD (β = 0.537, P < 0.001) below the mean. Thus, it suggests that clinical practice should conduct family resilience–oriented interventions to facilitate family resilience among infertile females preparing for their first IVF-ET, with the goal to reduce psychological distress. The relationship between environmental regulation and firms' total factor productivity (TFP) has always been a hot topic in environmental economics, but the conclusions are still mixed. Employing a sample of 14,375 firm-year observations in China from 2010 to 2018, our research explores whether and when environmental regulation could trigger firms, to enhance TFP. The available evidence leads us to cautiously conclude that: (1) Environmental regulation notably improves firms' TFP, the conclusion still holds after alleviating the endogenous problems and a battery of robustness tests. (2) Firms' bargaining power significantly weakens the effect of environmental regulation on firms' TFP. (3) Compared with non-state-owned firms and non-heavy-polluting industries, environmental regulation has a greater impact on state-owned firms and heavy-polluting industries; higher executive compensation does not motivate firms to improve TFP. Compared with firms headquartered in non-provincial capital cities, environmental regulation has a greater impact on firms' TFP in provincial capital cities. Overall, the findings of our research are extremely relevant for the governments, investors, and firms' managers; this paper provides China's micro-firm-level evidence for the Porter hypothesis. This study aims to explore effective ways to improve college students' entrepreneurial self-efficacy and intentions through entrepreneurship education. The survey used a random sample of 804 college students in Zhejiang Province, China. The results show that: (1) In terms of the characteristics of entrepreneurial intention, there are significant differences in gender, entrepreneurial experience, entrepreneurial competition experience, and family background of self-employment. (2) There are significant differences in the characteristics of entrepreneurship education in gender, entrepreneurial competition experience, and the family background of self-employment. (3) In the relationship among entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, and entrepreneurial intention, entrepreneurship education is significantly and positively related to entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy is significantly and positively associated with entrepreneurial intention. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy plays a complete mediating role between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy also has a suppressing effect on the relationship between the two. (4) Entrepreneurial competition experience moderates the second half of the mediating effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy. The study aims to provide empirical evidence for a one-way relationship between corporate environmental responsibility (CER) and financial performance (FP) in the banking industry, with special consideration into the moderating role of legal regulations and ownership structures. Net interest margin (NIM), return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE) are selected to measure FP while the content analysis method is adopted to examine CER. The study used regression analysis with the two-step system generalised method of moments (Sys-GMM) on a sample of 29 Vietnamese commercial banks from 2012 to 2019, and the positive impacts of CER on banks' FP were identified. Analysis of these data revealed that listed banks have a higher level of information disclosure than unlisted banks, but the positive relationship between CER and FP is weaker in listed banks. Similarly, while state-owned banks have a higher degree of disclosure than privately-controlled banks, the relationship between their CER and FP is weaker. Purpose: First, this study aims to examine the level of implementation of lean manufacturing (LM) practices by the small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the wooden furniture industry in Jepara. Second is to examine the impact of LM practices on operational performance (OP) and business performance (BP). Third is to examine the impact of LM practices on BP with OP as a mediating and moderating variable. OP is the quantifiable aspect of the process of an organisation, such as production cycle time, reliability and inventory turnover, whereas BP is usually related to the responsibility of the firms to their shareholders and has the goal of profit maximization. Design/methodology/approach: This study used primary data collected through an offline questionnaire. The questionnaire was intended to identify the extent of the implementation of LM practices and the level of OP and BP achieved by SMEs. The LM practices consist of 6 dimensions with 26 indicators; OP, 4 dimensions with 11 indicators; and BP, 3 dimensions with 9 indicators. The data obtained from the questionnaire were processed via partial least squares (PLS) regression using the SmartPLS software. PLS is generally used to assess the extent to which LM practices predict values in OP and BP. Findings: A total of 100 questionnaires were administered, of which 81% were properly filled, completed and returned. The result of the study confirms that LM practices should be applied collectively and comprehensively as each practice is interdependent. Moreover, it confirms that these practices have a direct effect on OP and BP and that OP can drive broader BP measures. Finally, the result confirms that these practices can improve BP indirectly with OP as a mediator variable. While the empirical evidence in this study supported the role of OP as a mediating variable between the implementation of LM practices and OB, it did not support the role of OP as a moderating variable. Research limitations/implications: First, it is arguable that LM practices, OP and BP are only measured by the Likert scale, which would likely create bias and inconsistency from the owners or managers of SMEs in expressing the level of LM practices and performances achieved by the SMEs in the wooden furniture industry. Future research may help establish qualitative approaches to better measure the LM practices as well as the OP and BP through observation and probing. Second, this study was limited geographically (limited to only the SMEs in the wooden furniture industry in Jepara and did not cover all regions in Central Java as well as in Indonesia). Therefore, a wider geographical area could be considered, including the other regions in Indonesia which also produce wooden furniture. Practical implications: This study practically contributes to the LM body of knowledge by identifying the relationships among the LM practices, OP and BP in SMEs. Understanding these relationships will help the owner or managers of SMEs make better decisions in achieving the OP and BP. The owner or managers of SMEs who implement the LM practices individually may experience disappointing performance results as these practices should be applied collectively and comprehensively. Social implications: The LM practices may help the owners or managers of the SMEs to be competitive and achieve the optimum result. Originality/value: This is the first known study that adopts the PLS framework to examine how OP measurement affects the relationship between the LM practices and BP in the case of the SMEs in Indonesia. This study examined the relationship between person-environment fit and subjective career success (SCS), as well as the role of personal resilience in that relationship. A convenience sample of 742 employees from various sectors in South Africa (female = 55.3%; Afrikaans language speakers = 64.2%; financial = 23%, wholesale and trade = 15%, education = 10%, business consulting = 10%) participated in the study. The employees completed surveys on subjective career success, resilience, and person-environment fit. Multiple regression analyses results revealed person-environment fit and resilience significantly predict subjective career success. Specifically, personal resilience moderated the relationship between person-organisation fit and subjective career success by strengthening the relationship. Moreover, an increase in person-organisation fit was associated with an increase in SCS. Furthermore, for employees with higher levels of resilience, the increase in SCS was much sharper. Background: As a personality trait, perfectionism has shown a close association with psychological disorders, such as depression. The protective effect of grit on depression has been confirmed by a series of recent studies. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the buffering role of grit in the above relationship and the possible underlying mechanism. Objective: Based on the multidimensional theory of perfectionism, we differentiated two dimensions of perfectionism as positive and negative and further examined the relationships between these two dimensions of perfectionism and depression. We also aimed to examine the possible moderating effect of grit on the above two relationships. Methods: Us a questionnaire survey approach, a total of 2,602 college students (1,608 females and 994 males) were assessed using the Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale the Short Grit Scale, and the Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression Scale. Hierarchical regression analysis was used to investigate the direct effect of two dimensions of perfectionism on depression as well as the moderating role of grit in these associations. Results: After controlling for gender, age, family income, and academic performance, both positive and negative perfectionism had positive predictive effects on depression, and grit negatively moderated these two relationships. Specifically, grit completely counteracted the effect of positive perfectionism on depression yet partly counteracted the effect of negative perfectionism on depression. Background: The mediating role of coping strategies and its relationship with psychological well-being and quality of life has been considered in the literature. However, there is little research to explore the mechanism of coping strategies on stigma and fertility quality of life (FertiQoL) in infertile women undergoing In Vitro Fertilization Embryo Transfer (IVF-ET). The aim of this study was to examine the mediating effect of coping strategies on the relationship between stigma and fertility quality of life (FertiQoL) in Chinese infertile women undergoing In Vitro Fertilization Embryo Transfer (IVF-ET).Methods: In this cross-sectional study, a total of 768 infertile women undergoing IVF-ET were recruited from Assisted Reproductive Center of Shaanxi Province, China. The personal information, infertility stigma scale, coping strategy scale and FertiQoL scale were measured using a set of questionnaires. The multiple mediator model was performed using AMOS 21.0.Results: The model showed a significant negative direct effect between stigma on FertiQoL. There were significantly negative indirect effects of stigma on FertiQoL through active-avoidance, active-confronting and passive-avoidance, respectively. The meaning-based coping played a positive intermediary role. The model explained 69.4% of the variance in FertiQoL.Conclusion: Active-avoidance coping strategy is the most important mediator factor between stigma and FertiQoL in infertile women undergoing IVF-ET treatment. This study aims to examine the relationships between organic food-related value, attitude, and buying behaviour based on the value-attitude-behaviour (VAB) cognitive hierarchal model. Moreover, it intends to test the moderating effect of price sensitivity on relationship attitude behaviour. Thus, we have conducted a quantitative study involving 610 organic food consumers in a developing country such as Tunisia. The present study used structural equation modelling to test the research hypotheses. The findings support the cognitive model (VAB), which theorises hierarchical flow from value to attitude to behaviour while highlighting the full mediating role of attitude. Considering the relationship attitude-behaviour, price sensitivity plays a significantly negative moderating role. This study is one of the few testing the VAB in the context of organic consumption. Moreover, it is the first to conduct such investigations in a developing country. Therefore, this study contributes toward filling the knowledge gap between developed and developing countries relative to research on consumer behaviour toward organic foods. Teacher support (TS) makes students feel loved and cared for because they believe that their teachers will provide them with opportunities to make choices, support them in independent problem solving, and understand their inner feelings. High TS levels reduce depression and anxiety, thereby improving students' mental well-being. This cross-sectional study involved 3,573 students from 29 schools in 16 counties/cities of six provinces, namely, Guizhou, Hubei, Jiangxi, Shanxi, Sichuan, and Yunnan. The aim was to examine the impact of TS on students' level of depression. The results indicated that for children in elementary schools, their status as left-behind children (LBC) played a moderating role between TS and depression. The level of depression in non-LBC children decreased significantly with increases in TS, but the reduction for LBC children was not significant. For children in middle/junior high schools, their LBC status did not play a moderating role between TS and depression. TS was negatively correlated with the children's level of depression, but there was a significant positive relationship between their LBC status and depression. Research has shown a direct relationship between infertility-related stress and anxiety in infertile patients. The present study goes into this relationship in depth, testing the moderating role of coping strategies (Seeking Social Support, Avoidant, Positive Attitude, Problem-Solving, Turning to Religion) in the associations between specific infertility-related stress dimensions (Social Concern, Need for Parenthood, Rejection of Childfree Lifestyle, Couple's Relationship Concern) and State-Anxiety among male and female partners of infertile couples. Gender differences were also explored. Both members of 254 infertile couples completed a questionnaire consisting of Socio-demographics, Fertility Problem Inventory–Short Form (FPI-SF), Coping Orientation to Problem Experienced–New Italian Version (COPE-NIV), and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory-Y (STAI-Y). The results revealed that Social Concern and Couple's Relationship Concern, in both partners, and Need for Parenthood, in female partners, had positive correlations with State-Anxiety. Seeking Social Support and Avoidant coping were related to increasing levels of State-Anxiety in both partners, whereas Positive Attitude coping strategies were related to lower levels of State-Anxiety in female partners. Problem-Solving and Avoidant coping played moderating roles between specific infertility-related stress dimensions and State-Anxiety in unexpected directions. Problem-Solving exacerbated the negative effects of Social Concern, whereas Avoidant coping buffered the negative effects of several infertility-related stress dimensions in both partners. Interventions to improve stress management and psychological health in infertile couples should consider that the adequacy of coping strategies is inherently situation specific. It therefore follows that patient-centered clinical interventions should consider the potential inadequacy of promoting Problem-Solving strategies, and that even Avoidance can be an efficient strategy for dealing with specific infertility-related stress dimensions.
