The purpose of this research is to identify the overall internal and external property industry determinants of profitability of listed real estate companies in the Philippines. In particular, this research uses reported annual data from 2013 to 2022. Using a robust random effects (RE) panel regression model with Return on Asset (ROA) as dependent variable, the results show that firm size (-), firm revenue growth (+), liquidity (-), efficiency measured using total asset turnover (+) or measured using cash conversion cycle (-) are significant determinants of profitability. On the other hand, using a robust fixed effects (FE) panel regression model with Return on Equity (ROE) as dependent variable, the results show that while firm revenue growth (+) and efficiency measured using total asset turnover (+) or measured using cash conversion cycle (-) are still significant determinants of profitability, solvency (+) is also another notable factor. The results of this study can help companies in the industry identify firm-specific and macroeconomic factors empirically proven to be important drivers of earning potential so that efforts and resources may be properly channeled to capitalize on them, especially at a recovery period from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Introduction: Cycling Dof transcription factors (CDFs) have been involved in different aspects of plant growth and development. In Arabidopsis and tomato, one member of this family (CDF1) has recently been associated with the regulation of primary metabolism and abiotic stress responses, but their roles in crop production under open field conditions remain unknown. Methods: In this study, we compared the growth, and tuber yield and composition of plants ectopically expressing the CDF1 gene from Arabidopsis under the control of the 35S promoter with wild-type (WT) potato plants cultured in growth chamber and open field conditions. Results: In growth chambers, the 35S::AtCDF1 plants showed a greater tuber yield than the WT by increasing the biomass partition for tuber development. Under field conditions, the ectopic expression of CDF1 also promoted the sink strength of the tubers, since 35S::AtCDF1 plants exhibited significant increases in tuber size and weight resulting in higher tuber yield. A metabolomic analysis revealed that tubers of 35S::AtCDF1 plants cultured under open field conditions accumulated higher levels of glucose, starch and amino acids than WT tubers. A comparative proteomic analysis of tubers of 35S::AtCDF1 and WT plants cultured under open field conditions revealed that these changes can be accounted for changes in the expression of proteins involved in energy production and different aspects of C and N metabolism. Discussion: The results from this study advance our collective understanding of the role of CDFs and are of great interest for the purposes of improving the yield and breeding of crop plants. Cross-reactivity of plant foods is an important phenomenon in allergy, with geographical variations with respect to the number and prevalence of the allergens involved in this process, whose complexity requires detailed studies. We have addressed the role of thaumatin-like proteins (TLPs) in cross-reactivity between fruit and pollen allergies. A representative panel of 16 purified TLPs was printed onto an allergen microarray. The proteins selected belonged to the sources most frequently associated with peach allergy in representative regions of Spain. Sera from two groups of well characterized patients, one with allergy to Rosaceae fruit (FAG) and another against pollens but tolerant to food-plant allergens (PAG), were obtained from seven geographical areas with different environmental pollen profiles. Cross-reactivity between members of this family was demonstrated by inhibition assays. Only 6 out of 16 purified TLPs showed noticeable allergenic activity in the studied populations. Pru p 2.0201, the peach TLP (41%), chestnut TLP (24%) and plane pollen TLP (22%) proved to be allergens of probable relevance to fruit allergy, being mainly associated with pollen sensitization, and strongly linked to specific geographical areas such as Barcelona, Bilbao, the Canary Islands and Madrid. The patients exhibited .50% positive response to Pru p 2.0201 and to chestnut TLP in these specific areas. Therefore, their recognition patterns were associated with the geographical area, suggesting a role for pollen in the sensitization of these allergens. Finally, the cosensitizations of patients considering pairs of TLP allergens were analyzed by using the co-sensitization graph associated with an allergen microarray immunoassay. During Cruise 20–3 of the R/V Rift (April, 2006), the area that includes the shelf and slope of the Derbent Basin in the northern Middle Caspian was studied using the continuous seismoacoustic profiling method. In accordance with the previous standpoint, two Pleistocene deltaic complexes formed in the Enotaevian and Mangyshlakian time are defined in this area. The seismoacoustic records obtained for the northern slope of the Derbent Basin demonstrate the development of specific rootless exogenic-gravitational fold structures in the upper (∼150–200 m) Quaternary part of the sedimentary sequence. The Quaternary section encloses angular unconformities indicating the pulsating mode of gravitational processes in the northern slope of the basin. South-dipping gravitational normal faults (and/or normal fault-related flexures) displacing the bottom surface and uppermost sedimentary layers (with vertical amplitudes up to 5–6 m) were defined in the southern part of the study area. Several impulses of the submarine slump structures predated and accompanied the deposition of the upper deltaic sequence (Mangyshlakian), although their most intense formation took place later during the Novocaspian (Holocene) time. Thus, the structural analysis of the seismoacoustic data revealed intense development of different-origin and different-age gravitational structures within the Quaternary sediments in the northern slope of the Derbent Basin. These results should be taken into consideration when designing, building, and operating submarine constructions in order to prevent potential natural hazards and reduce their consequences. Superior Vena Cava Flutter. Introduction:Reentry within a major thoracic vein has been suggested as a cause of atrial arrhythmias. However, little is known about these potential reentrant circuits.Methods and Results:Atypical atrial flutter was induced and mapped in 67 out of 225 atrial flutter ablation procedures. Reentry around the superior vena cava (SVC) was suspected in three patients. The suspected SVC flutter was induced and terminated by pacing in all patients. Fusion was demonstrated during flutter entrainment by subeustachian isthmus pacing in all of them. The postpacing interval following entrainment by pacing from different sites of the right atrium (RA) or coronary sinus was longer than the flutter cycle length. Macroreentry within the SVC was demonstrated both by sequential activation and a postpacing interval matching the flutter cycle length when pacing from different sites around the SVC in all patients. Atrial–venous–atrial electrogram sequence was demonstrated following flutter entrainment by atrial pacing. Flutter was terminated by an electrical stimulus delivered to the SVC, which was not propagated to the trabeculated RA, in one patient, and linear radiofrequency application from the distal SVC to the posterior wall of the RA, or to the superoseptal portion of the crista terminalis, in the other two.Conclusion:Macroreentry within the SVC is a distinctive mechanism responsible for rapid atrial activation, which is different from other reported flutter mechanisms, such as upper loop reentry. Proton-proton Overhauser effects were observed in HO solutions of sperm whale metcyano myoglobin. Dipolar connectivities involving hyperfine-shifted exchangeable protons such as the proximal and distal histidine ring NH's allowed us to categorize signals as arising from residues located on one side of the heme plane or on the other. With these connectivities, as well as spin-lattice relaxation times, spectral assignments were reached that were used to derive structural and dynamic information about the heme environment. Thus, it was shown that the distal histidine residue does not titrate down to pH ∼4.1 and that the CH of the proximal histidine side chain tumbles with the same correlation time as the protein. It presents the improvement caused by the highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) on the prognosis, clinical course and survival of HIV-infected people. It associates HIV- associated lipodystrophy with the loss of subcutaneous fat located in the face and extremities. It also notes that the body changes can lead to psychological problems.
