The outbreak of COVID-19 had a significant impact on the psychological and behavioral health of college students. However, few studies have systematically explored the relationship between COVID-19 and psychological and behavioral health among college students worldwide. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to explore the impact of COVID-19 on college students' psychological and behavioral health using a knowledge-mapping approach. In total, 796 publications were selected and analyzed to clarify the publication volume and time distribution, core authors, major journals, research institutions, country distributions, research hotspots, and core themes. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019, studies focused on the impact of COVID-19 on college students' psychological and behavioral health showed an increasing trend year by year. The three countries with the highest centrality were Britain (0.34), the United States (0.24), and Mexico (0.13). The five major topics of research were mental health, academic pressure, physical health risks, college students' majors, and daily living habits, with most research concerned with college students' mental health. The visualized burst detection results were combined to identify three cutting-edge research topics in this field: the sustained impact of COVID-19 on college students' mental health, the sustained impact of COVID-19 on medical college students, and the mediating role of college students' mental resilience during COVID-19. Outbreaks of periphytic algae, including filamentous algae, have been observed after submerged macrophyte restoration and are common in early stages. Dynamic changes in the periphytic algae community on Vallisneria natans and artificial V. natans were investigated in situ, and their characteristics were compared on the two substrates. The results showed that more periphytic algae species occurred on V. natans (77 taxa) than on artificial V. natans (66 taxa) (F = 2.089, p = 0.047). The cell density and chlorophyll a (Chl. a) content of periphytic algae were 3.42–202.62-fold and 2.07–15.50-fold higher on the artificial substrate than on V. natans, respectively. Except for Lyngbya perelagans (i.e., the only common dominant periphytic algae species on the two substrates), the dominant species on V. natans were Cocconeis placentula and Ulothrix tenerrima, while those on the artificial substrate were Stigeoclonium aestrivale, Oscillatoria tenuis and Achnanthes minutissima. The cell density of periphytic algae was significantly affected by the total phosphorus (TP) and NO3−-N and electric conductivity on V. natans, and by TP and NH4+-N on artificial V. natans. The malondialdehyde content of V. natans was significantly correlated with the periphytic algae biomass. V. natans was more affected by periphytic algae during its slow-growing period, and the contribution order of stress to V. natans was diatoms > cyanobacteria > green algae. Our findings might contribute to the understanding the effect of substrate specificity on periphytic algae communities, and have important implications for the restoration of submerged plants in eutrophic lakes. The content of tea polyphenols (TP) is one of the important indicators for judging the quality of tea. Accurate and non-destructive estimation technology for tea polyphenol content has attracted more and more attention, which has become a key technology for tea production, quality identification, grading and so on. Hyperspectral imaging technology is a fusion of spectral analysis and image processing technology, which has been proven to be an efficient technology for predicting tea polyphenol content. To make full use of spectral and spatial features, a prediction model of tea polyphenols based on spectral-spatial deep features extracted using convolutional neural network (CNN) was proposed, which not only broke the limitations of traditional shallow features, but also innovated the technical path of integrated deep learning in non-destructive detection for tea. Firstly, one-dimensional convolutional neural network (1D-CNN) and two-dimensional convolutional neural network (2D-CNN) models were constructed to extract the spectral deep features and spatial deep features of tea hyperspectral images, respectively. Secondly, spectral deep features, spatial deep features, and spectral-spatial deep features are used as input variables of machine learning models, including Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR), Support Vector Regression (SVR) and Random Forest (RF). Finally, the training, testing and evaluation were realized using the self-built hyperspectral dataset of green tea from different grades and different manufacturers. The results showed that the model based on spectral-spatial deep features had the best prediction performance among the three machine learning models (R2 = 0.949, MAE = 0.533 for training sets, R2 = 0.938, MAE = 0.799 for test sets). Moreover, the visualization of estimation results of tea polyphenol content further demonstrated that the model proposed in this study had strong estimation ability. Therefore, the deep features extracted using CNN can provide new ideas for estimation of the main components of tea, which will provide technical support for the estimation tea quality estimation. Accurately distinguishing the types of tea is of great significance to the pricing, production, and processing of tea. The similarity of the internal spectral characteristics and appearance characteristics of different types of tea greatly limits further research on tea identification. However, wavelet transform can simultaneously extract time domain and frequency domain features, which is a powerful tool in the field of image signal processing. To address this gap, a method for tea recognition based on a lightweight convolutional neural network and support vector machine (L-CNN-SVM) was proposed, aiming to realize tea recognition using wavelet feature figures generated by wavelet time-frequency signal decomposition and reconstruction. Firstly, the redundant discrete wavelet transform was used to decompose the wavelet components of the hyperspectral images of the three teas (black tea, green tea, and yellow tea), which were used to construct the datasets. Secondly, improve the lightweight CNN model to generate a tea recognition model. Finally, compare and evaluate the recognition results of different models. The results demonstrated that the results of tea recognition based on the L-CNN-SVM method outperformed MobileNet v2+RF, MobileNet v2+KNN, MobileNet v2+AdaBoost, AlexNet, and MobileNet v2. For the recognition results of the three teas using reconstruction of wavelet components LL + HL + LH, the overall accuracy rate reached 98.7%, which was 4.7%, 3.4%, 1.4%, and 2.0% higher than that of LH + HL + HH, LL + HH + HH, LL + LL + HH, and LL + LL + LL. Polyphenols are allelochemicals secreted by aquatic plants that effectively control cyanobacteria blooms. In this study, sensitive response parameters (including CFPs) of Microcystis aeruginosa were explored under the stress of different polyphenols individually and their combination. The combined effects on M. aeruginosa were investigated based on the most sensitive parameter and cell densities. For pyrogallic acid (PA) and gallic acid (GA), the sensitivity order of parameters based on the EC50 values (from 0.73 to 3.40 mg L–1 for PA and from 1.05 to 2.68 mg L–1 for GA) and the results of the hierarchical cluster analysis showed that non-photochemical quenching parameters [NPQ, q N, q N(rel) and q CN] > photochemical quenching parameters [YII, q P, q P(rel) and q L] or others [ F v/ F m, F' v /F' m, q TQ and UQF(rel)] > cell densities. CFPs were not sensitive to ellagic acid (EA) and (+)-catechin (CA). The sensitivity order of parameters for M. aeruginosa with PA-GA mixture was similar to that under PA and GA stress. The quantitative (Toxicity Index, TI) and qualitative (Isobologram representation) methods were employed to evaluate the combined effects of PA, GA, and CA on M. aeruginosa based on cell densities and NPQ. TI values based on the EC50 cells suggested the additive effects of binary and multiple polyphenols, but synergistic and additive effects according to the EC50 NPQ (varied from 0.16 to 1.94). In terms of NPQ of M. aeruginosa , the binary polyphenols exhibited synergistic effects when the proportion of high toxic polyphenols PA or GA was lower than 40%, and the three polyphenols showed a synergistic effect only at the ratio of 1:1:1. Similar results were also found by isobologram representation. The results showed that increasing the ratio of high toxic polyphenols would not enhance the allelopathic effects, and the property, proportion and concentrations of polyphenols played an important role in the combined effects. Compared with cell densities, NPQ was a more suitable parameter as evaluating indicators in the combined effects of polyphenols on M. aeruginosa. These results could provide a method to screen the allelochemicals of polyphenols inhibiting cyanobacteria and improve the inhibitory effects by different polyphenols combined modes. Most aquatic vegetation restorations involve the transplantation of submerged macrophytes. Sediment type and the clonal size are of great significance as they determine the fate of submerged macrophytes. In order to ensure successful restoration, a simulation experiment was conducted using aquarium mesocosms to investigate the response of stolon propagation capacity, the morphological features and productivity of Vallisneria natans for four types of sediment (lake mud [L], lake mud + sand [L + S, 50:50, v/v mixture], sand [S], clay [C]), and three types of clonal sizes. Results showed that sediment types significantly affected V. natans biomass accumulation, stolon propagation ability, ramet morphological characteristics, and productivity, where the asexual reproduction ability and productivity ranked as L > L + S > S > C in four sediment types. Total biomass, maximum net production, number of ramets, root diameter, number of stolons, and stolon propagation rate were all highest in L. In L and L + S, the plant chlorophyll content was higher than in S and C. The root diameter and the ratio of aboveground/underground biomass in S were the smallest among the four sediments. Moreover, when more V. natans seedlings were linked, more ramets and biomass were produced. The stolon propagation rate was ranked as the stolon with single seedling greater than the stolon with two‐linked seedlings greater than the stolon with three‐linked seedlings in L and L + S. The concentration of total nitrogen, total phosphorus, and NO3−‐N in water was remarkably reduced in four aquariums. Submerged vegetation biomass fluctuation usually occurs during the preliminary stage of vegetation restoration in shallow lakes, which impacts the final status and duration for achieving a macrophyte-dominant state. This study uncovered the sediment N characteristics and the sediment bacterial community and their predicted functions during the preliminary stage of vegetation recovery in the West Lake, a typical subtropical degenerated shallow lake in China. Results showed increased amounts of sediment TN and NH4-N, reaching 3425.76 and 345.5 mg kg−1, respectively, when the vegetation biomass decreased from its maximum to its minimum. The maximum concentration of sediment NH4-N reached 508.60 mg kg−1 with the decline in vegetation, which might restrict further growth of the submerged macrophytes. The bacterial community structure during the high macrophyte biomass (HMB) period was distinct from that observed during the low macrophyte biomass (LMB) period. Specific taxa such as the phyla Chloroflexi and Acidobacteria and the genus Anaerolineaceae that are related to organic carbon degradation were significantly higher during the LMB period. Potential denitrifiers, such as Lactococcus and Bacillus genera decreased during the LMB period. Accumulation of sediment ammonia could be attributed to the enhanced production by assimilatory nitrate reduction, organic N degradation, and/or the decreased consumption by nitrification. Our findings highlight that the unstable preliminary stage of vegetation restoration brings drastic fluctuation of sediment N loading, of which NH4-N accumulation caused by bacterial communities prevents further growth of the submerged macrophytes. To explore the size-dependent responses of zooplankton to submerged macrophyte restoration, we collected macrophyte, zooplankton and water quality samples seasonally from a subtropical shallow lake from 2010 to 2012. Special attention was given to changes in rotifers and crustaceans (cladocerans and copepods). The rotifers were grouped into three size classes (<200 μm, 200 μm–400 μm, >400 μm) to explore their size-related responses to macrophyte restoration. The results showed that during the restoration, the annual mean biomass and macrophyte coverage increased significantly from 0 to 637 g/m2 and 0 to 27%, respectively. In response, the density and biomass of crustaceans and the crustacean-to-rotifer ratio increased significantly, while the rotifer density decreased significantly. Moreover, rotifers showed significant sizedependent responses to macrophyte restoration. Specially, rotifers <400 μm were significantly suppressed, while those ≥400 μm were significantly encouraged. Overall, the population of large-sized zooplankton tended to boom, while that of small rotifers was inhibited during macrophyte restoration. Redundancy analysis (RDA) revealed positive correlations between macrophytes and crustaceans, rotifers and COD or Chl-a, but negative correlations between macrophytes and COD or Chl-a, and between crustaceans and Chl-a. Moreover, the results indicate that increased predation on phytoplankton by large-sized zooplankton might be an important mechanism for macrophyte restoration during development of aquatic ecosystems, and that this mechanism played a very important role in promoting the formation of a clear-water state in subtropical shallow lakes. Submerged macrophytes play an important role in aquatic ecosystems, which has led to an increase in studies on vegetation recovery in polluted lakes from which submerged macrophytes have disappeared. The comparison of microbial communities in sediment cloned with planted and naturally growing submerged macrophytes is an interesting but rarely studied topic. In this investigation, Maojiabu and Xilihu, two adjacent sublakes of West Lake (Hangzhou, China), were selected as aquatic areas with planted and naturally growing macrophytes, respectively. Sediment samples from sites with/without Vallisneria natans were collected from both sublakes. The results showed that sediment total nitrogen and organic matter were significantly lower in the plant-covered sites than that in the non-plant sites in Maojiabu. Additionally, the sediment microbial community characterized by 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) sequencing differed more significantly for Maojiabu than for Xilihu. The relative abundances of microbes involved in C, N, and S elemental cycling were significantly higher in the sediments with plants than in those without. Results from both fatty acid methyl ester analysis and 16S rRNA sequencing indicated that vegetation significantly influenced the sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB). Thus, the gene copies and composition of SRB were explored further. The relative gene abundance of SRB was 66% higher with natural vegetation colonization but was not influenced by artificial colonization. An increase in dominant SRB members from the families Syntrophobacteraceae and Thermodesulfovibrionaceae contributed to the increase of total SRB. Thus, macrophyte planting influences sediment nutrient levels and microbial community more than natural growth does, whereas the latter is more beneficial to sediment SRB. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The aim of the study was to understand the releasing characteristics of sediment phosphorus (P) in all fractions under varying environmental conditions and the relationship between sediment P and eutrophication in shallow city lake, Donghu Lake of Wuhan in China. Effects of P concentration in overlying water, oxygen, light, pH, temperature, and agitation intensity on release processes of sediment P in all fractions in Donghu Lake, China, were investigated. The release quantity and release rate of sediment P in the distilled water were significantly higher than those of lake water, and under anaerobic condition, they were higher than those of aerobic treatment. The concentrations of each P form decreased obviously in both dark and irradiated systems. Both high and low pH promoted the release of Fe/Al-P, IP, and TP, but Ca-P decreased sharply with decreasing pH, while the difference of OP was not obvious. The release rate of each P form accelerated drastically when water temperature rose from 5 to 30°C. The magnitude of the each P form released increased with the increase in the agitation intensity at the first 6 d, while it showed no significant difference after 8 d in different agitation intensities (100–200 rpm). The results showed that the extent of P in all fractions released from Donghu Lake sediment was affected variously by the environmental factors, and the sediment was unstable, at risk of releasing P to Donghu Lake. The aim of this study was to investigate the presence of extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) and plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance (PMQR) genes in Escherichia coli isolated from retail meat samples in Henan Province, China. E. coli isolates were detected in 179 of 645 (27.7%) retail meat samples. Resistance of these isolates to antimicrobials was commonly observed, with 78.2% of isolates resistant to streptomycin, 74.3% resistant to tetracycline and 54.2% resistant to trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole. Of the 179 isolates, 30 (16.7%) expressed ESBL, with blaTEM-1 ( n = 17) and blaCTX-M-14 ( n = 9) most commonly mediating the ESBL phenotype. PMQR genes were present in 14 isolates (7.8%), with qnr and aac(6′)-Ib-cr detected alone or in combination in nine (5.0%) and seven isolates (3.9%), respectively. The qnr genes detected included qnrS1 ( n = 5), qnrA1 ( n = 3), and qnrB4 ( n = 1). The qepA gene was absent among these isolates. CTX-M-14 was the most prevalent ESBL type among the PMQR-positive isolates. The qnr and aac(6′)-Ib-cr genes were found to co-reside and be co-transferred with blaCTX-M-14 or blaTEM-1 in five isolates. Our data suggest that retail meat may act as a reservoir for multi-resistant E. coli and may facilitate the dissemination of resistance genes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

During the restoration of eutrophic shallow lakes, submerged macrophyte recovery is often accompanied by an excessive proliferation of filamentous green algae (FGA). This can lead to the recession or even disappearance of the submerged macrophytes in these lakes. However, the use of plant fragments in reproduction and dispersion is an important life history strategy for submerged macrophytes. In this work, it studied apical fragment propagation in Myriophyllum spicatum and its physiological and biochemical responses to the decomposing liquid of Cladophora oligoclona. Myriophyllum spicatum apical fragments showed no new roots or buds when treated with 0.4 times the original decomposing liquid, and their PSII functional parameters were lower than those of the control. In contrast, the relevant sugar content accumulated to 115.26%, and the activities of an energy enzyme (Ca2+/Mg2+-ATPase) and a secondary metabolic-related enzyme (PAL) increased by 490.63% and 28.13%, showing an elevated defense response. These results indicated that the early regeneration of M. spicatum could be hindered by environmental stress, and that this may further affect the reproduction and colonization of these submerged macrophytes. Sediment phosphorus (P) removal is crucial for the control of eutrophication, and the in-situ adsorption is an essential technique. In this study, modified maifanite (MMF) prepared by acidification, alkalization, salinization, calcination and combined modifications, respectively, were first applied to treat sediment P. The morphology and microstructure of MMF samples were characterized by X-ray fluorescence (XRF), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). Various adsorption parameters were tested, such as dosage of maifanite, time, operation pH and temperature. The adsorption mechanisms were also investigated and discussed. Results showed that CMMF-H2.5-400 (2.5 mol/L H2SO4 and calcined at 400 °C) exhibited the highest P adsorption capacity. Thus, it was selected as the in-situ adsorbent material to control the internal P loading. Under the optimal conditions of dynamic experiments, the adsorption rates of TP, IP, OP, Fe/Al-P and Ca-P by CMMF-H2.5-400 were 37.22%, 44.41%, 25.54%, 26.09% and 60.34%, respectively. The adsorption mechanisms analysis revealed that the adsorption of P onto CMMF-H2.5-400 mainly by ligand exchange. Results of this work indicated that the modification treatment could improve the adsorption capacity of maifanite, and CMMF-H2.5-400 could be further applied to eutrophication treatment.
