Blood vessel imaging provides crucial information for physiological monitoring and disease diagnosis. Optical‐resolution photoacoustic microscopy (PAM) is gaining intense attention in high‐resolution in vivo imaging of blood vessels. However, its applicability in clinical settings is hindered by the requirement of bulky and costly pulsed lasers as well as complex alignment procedures. Here, as a novel approach to high‐quality and cost‐effective microvasculature imaging, a dual‐wavelength fiber‐coupled laser diode‐based PAM (FC‐LD‐PAM) system is demonstrated on the mouse ear and brain in vivo. Furthermore, assisted with a deep learning method, the proposed technique effectively combines the advantages when using both small and large core‐size multimode fibers—successfully enhances the resolution of blurry mouse microvascular images obtained using a large core‐size fiber, revealing fine details that are comparable to those achieved using a small core‐size fiber; significantly reduces the overall time for data acquisition up to fourfold, improving the efficiency significantly in the imaging process. In addition, the proposed approach can achieve accurate and high‐resolution mapping of oxygen saturation in vivo, providing functional insight on living tissue. Purpose: This study aims to analyze and discuss the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on firms' performance, as well as to examine the interplay between CSR and the economy, society and innovation. Design/methodology/approach: This paper collects data from 420 manufacturing firms across various geographical regions in China. By using a structural equation model, the paper investigates the impact of CSR on enterprise innovation, customer management capability, market competitiveness (MC) and firm financial performance. Findings: The findings demonstrate that CSR performance positively contributes to enhancing the level of enterprise innovation, as well as customer management capability and market competitiveness. Furthermore, it assists enterprises in improving market competitiveness and elevating customer management capabilities. Thus, CSR can have a positive effect on the firm financial performance. Originality/value: The outcomes presented in this paper offer valuable evidence regarding the influence of implementing CSR on different aspects of enterprise performance and innovation. Rhabdophis nuchalis, a snake widely distributed in China, possesses a unique trait: glands beneath the skin on its neck and back, known as nucho-dorsal glands. These features make it a valuable subject for studying genetic diversity and the evolution of complex traits. In this study, we obtained a high-quality chromosome-level reference genome of R. nuchalis using MGI short-read sequencing, PacBio Revio long-read sequencing, and Hi-C sequencing techniques. The final assembly comprised 1.92 Gb of the R. nuchalis genome, anchored to 20 chromosomes (including 9 macrochromosomes and 11 microchromosomes), with a contig N50 of 104.79 Mb, a scaffold N50 of 204.96 Mb, and a BUSCO completeness of 97.50%. Additionally, we annotated a total of 1.09 Gb of repetitive sequences (which constitute 56.51% of the entire genome) and identified 22,057 protein-coding genes. This high-quality reference genome of R. nuchalis furnishes essential genomic data for comprehending the genetic diversity and evolutionary history of the species, as well as for facilitating species conservation efforts and comparative genomics studies. Co-B catalyst, W-modified Co-B (Co-W-B) catalyst, and Mo-modified Co-W-B (Co-W-Mo-B) catalyst powders were synthesized via chemical reduction of metal salt solutions at room temperature. The optimal hydrogen production rate was obtained when the ratio of the reducing agent (NaBH4) to the metal solution was 4:1. Among the ternary catalysts, the Co0.1-W0.9-B catalyst showed the optimal hydrogen production rate when the content of W doping was 0.9. Furthermore, the hydrogen production rate of the quaternary catalyst was enhanced when the content of Mo doping was 0.075, denoted as Co0.1-W0.9-Mo0.075-B. The catalyst powders were characterized by SEM, XRD, XPS, and BET. The hydrogen production rates of the Co-B catalyst, Co0.1-W0.9-B catalyst, and Co0.1-W0.9-Mo0.075-B catalyst were investigated for the decomposition of alkaline sodium borohydride (NaBH4) in a water–ethanol mixture solution. The Co0.1-W0.9-Mo0.075-B catalyst exhibited the highest hydrogen production rate compared to Co-B and Co0.1-W0.9-B catalyst powders. The optimal hydrogen production rate of the Co0.1-W0.9-Mo0.075-B catalyst is 4600 ml·min−1·g−1, which is nearly 1.9 times higher than that of the Co-B catalyst. Moreover, the Co0.1-W0.9-Mo0.075-B catalyst exhibited good stability, retaining 73% of its catalytic activity after five cycles, and had a low apparent activation energy of 41.51 kJ·mol−1. Main conclusion: The rice SnRK2 members SAPK4, SAPK5, SAPK7 and SAPK10 are positive regulators involved in the regulation of rice flowering, while other single mutants exhibited no effect on rice flowering. The rice SnRK2 family, comprising 10 members known as SAPK (SnRK2-Associated Protein Kinase), is pivotal in the abscisic acid (ABA) pathway and crucial for various biological processes, such as drought resistance and salt tolerance. Additionally, these members have been implicated in the regulation of rice heading date, a key trait influencing planting area and yield. In this study, we utilized gene editing technology to create mutants in the Songjing 2 (SJ2) background, enabling a comprehensive analyze the role of each SAPK member in rice flowering. We found that SAPK1, SAPK2, and SAPK3 may not directly participate in the regulatory network of rice heading date, while SAPK4, SAPK5, and SAPK7 play positive roles in rice flowering regulation. Notably, polygene deletion resulted in an additive effect on delaying flowering. Our findings corroborate the previous studies indicating the positive regulatory role of SAPK10 in rice flowering, as evidenced by delayed flowering observed in sapk9/10 double mutants. Moving forward, our future research will focus on analyzing the molecular mechanisms underlying SAPKs involvement in rice flowering regulation, aiming to enhance our understanding of the rice heading date relationship network and lay a theoretical foundation for breeding efforts to alter rice ripening dates. Rice flowering time determines its geographical distribution and yield traits. As a short-day plant, rice can grow in the northern long-day conditions due to the functional mutations of many photosensitive genes. In this study, to identify novel genes or alleles that regulate flowering time in high latitude region, two cultivar, Dongnong 413 (DN413) and Yukimochi (XN) showing extreme early flowering were used for investigation. DN413 is around 4.0 days earlier than XN, and both cultivars can be grown in II (2500 ℃–2700 ℃) to III (2300 ℃–2500 ℃) accumulated temperature zones. We found that the two cultivars shared the same genotype of heading date genes, including Hd1/2/4/5/6/16/17/18, Ehd2, DTH2, SE5, Hd3a. Importantly, a novel Ehd3 allele characterized by a A1146C substitution was identified, which results in the E382D substitution, hereafter the 382 position E is defined as Hap_E and the 382 position D is defined as Hap_D. Association analysis showed that Hap_E is earlier flowering than Hap_D. Subsequently, we construct DN413 Hap_D line by three times back-crossing DN413 with XN, and found the heading date of DN413 Hap_D was 1.7–3.5 days later than DN413. Moreover, Hap_E and Hap_D of Ehd3 were transformed into ehd3 mutant, respectively, and the Ehd3pro:Ehd3D/ehd3 flowered later than that Ehd3pro:Ehd3E/ehd3 by around 4.3 days. Furthermore, we showed Ehd3 functions as a transcriptional suppressor and the substitution of Asp-382 lost the inhibition activity in protoplasts. Finally, a CAPS marker was developed and used for genotyping and marker assistant breeding. Panicle exsertion is one of the crucial agronomic traits in rice (Oryza sativa). Shortening of panicle exsertion often leads to panicle enclosure and severely reduces seed production. Gibberellin (GA) plays important roles in regulating panicle exsertion. However, the underlying mechanism and the relative regulatory network remain elusive. Here, we characterized the oswrky78 mutant showing severe panicle enclosure, and found that the defect of oswrky78 is caused by decreased bioactive GA contents. Biochemical analysis demonstrates that OsWRKY78 can directly activate GA biosynthesis and indirectly suppress GA metabolism. Moreover, we found OsWRKY78 can interact with and be phosphorylated by mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK) kinase OsMAPK6, and this phosphorylation can enhance OsWRKY78 stability and is necessary for its biological function. Taken together, these results not only reveal the critical function of OsWRKY78, but also reveal its mechanism via mediating crosstalk between MAPK and the GA signaling pathway in regulating panicle exsertion. The chloroplast serves as the primary site of photosynthesis, and its development plays a crucial role in regulating plant growth and morphogenesis. The Pentatricopeptide Repeat Sequence (PPR) proteins constitute a vast protein family that function in the post-transcriptional modification of RNA within plant organelles. In this study, we characterized mutant of rice with pale green leaves (pgl3a). The chlorophyll content of pgl3a at the seedling stage was significantly reduced compared to the wild type (WT). Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and quantitative PCR analysis revealed that pgl3a exhibited aberrant chloroplast development compared to the wild type (WT), accompanied by significant alterations in gene expression levels associated with chloroplast development and photosynthesis. The Mutmap analysis revealed that a single base deletionin the coding region of Os03g0136700 in pgl3a. By employing CRISPR/Cas9 mediated gene editing, two homozygous cr-pgl3a mutants were generated and exhibited a similar phenotype to pgl3a, thereby confirming that Os03g0136700 was responsible for pgl3a. Consequently, it was designated as OsPGL3A. OsPGL3A belongs to the DYW-type PPR protein family and is localized in chloroplasts. Furthermore, we demonstrated that the RNA editing efficiency of rps8-182 and rpoC2-4106, and the splicing efficiency of ycf3-1 were significantly decreased in pgl3a mutants compared to WT. Safety barriers (SBs) are important means of reducing failure risks of process systems. As barriers vary in type and function, their effectiveness needs to be evaluated in order to find a more reasonable configuration strategy. However, in practice, there is often a lack of accurate and complete data relating to SBs, which poses a significant challenge in quantitatively assessing their effectiveness. To address this issue, in this study, we propose a semi-quantitative approach for evaluating the effectiveness of both preventive and protective barriers in process systems by integrating expert elicitation, interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IVIFNs), and a bow-tie model. In this approach, the bow-tie model is first applied to describe the system failure scenarios and the action phases of the barriers, and then IVIFNs with expert judgment are introduced to obtain the failure probabilities of basic events and the effects of SBs. Subsequently, the effectiveness of each barrier is measured by comparing the relative change in failure risk due to the addition of the barrier. To verify the feasibility of this approach, a natural gas storage tank with some barriers was analyzed. The results show that the regular inspection of the deformation or damage of the storage tank has the highest effectiveness, followed by the installation and regular maintenance of safety electrical equipment. Rice is a chilling-sensitive plant, and extremely low temperatures seriously decrease rice production. Several genes involved in chilling stress have been reported in rice; however, the chilling signaling in rice remains largely unknown. Here, we investigated the chilling tolerance phenotype of overexpression of constitutive active OsMAPK6 (CAMAPK6-OE) and OsMAPK6 mutant dsg1, and demonstrated that OsMAPK6 positively regulated rice chilling tolerance. It was shown that, under cold stress, the survival rate of dsg1 was significantly lower than that of WT, whereas CAMAPK6-OE display higher survival rate than WT. Physiological assays indicate that ion leakage and dead cell in dsg1 was much more severe than those in WT and CAMAPK6-OE. Consistently, expression of chilling responsive genes in dsg1, including OsCBFs and OsTPP1, was significantly lower than that of in WT and CAMAPK6-OE. Biochemical analyses revealed that chilling stress promotes phosphorylation of OsMAPK6. Besides, we found that OsMAPK6 interacts with and phosphorylates two key regulators in rice cold signaling, OsIPA1 and OsICE1, and then enhance their protein stability. Overall, our results revealed a cold-induced OsMAPK6-OsICE1/OsIPA1 signaling cascade by which OsMAPK6 was involved in rice chilling tolerance, which provides novel insights to understand rice cold response at seedling stage. In sporadic Alzheimer's disease (sAD) specific regions, layers and neurons accumulate hyperphosphorylated Tau (pTau) and degenerate early while others remain unaffected even in advanced disease. ApoER2-Dab1 signaling suppresses Tau phosphorylation as part of a four-arm pathway that regulates lipoprotein internalization and the integrity of actin, microtubules, and synapses; however, the role of this pathway in sAD pathogenesis is not fully understood. We previously showed that multiple ApoER2-Dab1 pathway components including ApoE, Reelin, ApoER2, Dab1, pP85αTyr607, pLIMK1Thr508, pTauSer202/Thr205 and pPSD95Thr19 accumulate together within entorhinal-hippocampal terminal zones in sAD, and proposed a unifying hypothesis wherein disruption of this pathway underlies multiple aspects of sAD pathogenesis. However, it is not yet known whether ApoER2-Dab1 disruption can help explain the origin(s) and early progression of pTau pathology in sAD. In the present study, we applied in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry (IHC) to characterize ApoER2 expression and accumulation of ApoER2-Dab1 pathway components in five regions known to develop early pTau pathology in 64 rapidly autopsied cases spanning the clinicopathological spectrum of sAD. We found that (1) these selectively vulnerable neuron populations strongly express ApoER2; and (2) multiple ApoER2-Dab1 components representing all four arms of this pathway accumulate in abnormal neurons and neuritic plaques in mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and sAD cases and correlate with histological progression and cognitive deficits. Multiplex-IHC revealed that Dab1, pP85αTyr607, pLIMK1Thr508, pTauSer202/Thr205 and pPSD95Thr19 accumulate together within many of the same ApoER2-expressing neurons and in the immediate vicinity of ApoE/ApoJ-enriched extracellular plaques. Collective findings reveal that pTau is only one of many ApoER2-Dab1 pathway components that accumulate in multiple neuroanatomical sites in the earliest stages of sAD and provide support for the concept that ApoER2-Dab1 disruption drives pTau-associated neurodegeneration in human sAD. Chronic knee pain is a common condition. Causes of knee pain include trauma, inflammation, and degeneration, but in many patients the pathophysiology remains unknown. Recent developments in advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques and molecular imaging facilitate more in-depth research focused on the pathophysiology of chronic musculoskeletal pain and more specifically inflammation. The forthcoming new insights can help develop better targeted treatment, and some imaging techniques may even serve as imaging biomarkers for predicting and assessing treatment response in the future. This review highlights the latest developments in perfusion MRI, diffusion MRI, and molecular imaging with positron emission tomography/MRI and their application in the painful knee. MPPM (Multipulse Position Modulation) is a pulse code technology that is widely used in optical communication and deep space communication due to its high energy efficiency. Combination code is a variation of MPPM and is widely used in MWD (Measurement While Drilling) telemetry systems. However, whether it is MPPM or combination code, it is difficult to establish a simple mapping relationship between bit symbols and pulse symbols. Therefore, an encoding table is usually used to realize the mapping between bit symbols and pulse symbols. With an increase in bit width, the storage complexity of the encoding table increases exponentially. This is unacceptable for underground transmitters working in harsh environments. This paper maps the code symbols of MPPM to a hyper-triangular region of a high-dimensional tensor and establishes a simple lookup table and lookup algorithm to achieve low-complexity mapping from bit symbols to MPPM code symbols. At the same time, this paper also provides a method for extending from MPPM code symbols to commonly used combination code symbols in MWD, thereby providing an efficient implementation path for large bit width combination code encoding at the underground end of MWD. The editorial discusses the importance of accurately diagnosing muscle‐invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) to guide treatment decisions and prognosis. The Vesical Imaging‐Reporting and Data System (VI‐RADS) has shown promise in diagnosing MIBC using multiparametric bladder magnetic resonance imaging (mp‐MRI), but has limitations. The article by Lu et al suggests that including the normalized apparent diffusion coefficient (NADC) value can enhance the VI‐RADS performance in diagnosing MIBC, based on a retrospective study with promising results. Drawing on the person–organization fit theory, this study elaborates a dual‐oriented human resource (HR) system and explores when and how two HR bundles (development vs. maintenance) influence work well‐being. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis with a sample of 1,946 supervisors from a Chinese high‐tech firm show that the dual‐oriented HR model fits the data better than a holistic HR system. In another study with a multilevel sample of 64 corporate branches and 434 employees, the findings confirm the proposed joint effect of the dual‐oriented HR system and achievement motivation on well‐being. Specifically, development‐oriented HR practices are more positively related to work well‐being only when individual achievement motivation is high; by contrast, maintenance‐oriented HR practices are more positively related to work well‐being only when individual achievement motivation is low. Lipoxygenase (LOX, EC1.13.11.12) catalyzes the oxygenation of polyunsaturated fatty acids and further generates oxylipins via enzymatic or non-enzymatic pathways, thus participating in the regulation of growth and development, stress response, and other processes. The objective of this research was to characterize the function and evaluate the mechanism of lipoxygenase gene AfLOX4's role in enhancing drought tolerance. Transcriptomic data were generated and analyzed for the LOX gene, under different concentrations of drought (polyethylene glycol-6000) (PEG6000) and abscisic acid (ABA) stress treatment, to determine their effects on the expression of the AfLOX4 gene and its role in plant physiology. The localization of the AfLOX4 protein was detected through protoplast transformation. The expression of AfLOX4 in Amorpha fruticosa tissues was determined by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). Six LOX genes of A. fruticosa that showed an upregulated pattern under different concentrations of drought (PEG6000) stress were found via transcriptomic analysis and were named AfLOX1 ~ 6. The AfLOX4 protein was localized in the cytoplasm. AfLOX4 was expressed in the stems, roots, flowers, and leaves of Amorpha fruticosa L., and its expression level was the highest in leaves. The expression of AfLOX4 increased with the prolongation of stress time under different stresses. After ABA treatment, the germination rate of tobacco lines overexpressing AfLOX4 was significantly increased, while under NaHCO3 stress, the tolerance of tobacco plants overexpressing AfLOX4 was higher than that of wild-type tobacco. The tobacco with overexpression of the AfLOX4 gene detected by the natural drought method had a higher survival rate in the drought stress recovery experiment, and improved the drought tolerance of tobacco. This study reveals the function of the AfLOX4 gene in resisting drought stress and lays a solid theoretical foundation for the genetic improvement of Amorpha fruticosa L. plant varieties, as well as improvement of resource utilization. Engineering heterogeneous hydrogels with distinct phases at various lengths, which resemble biological tissues with high complexity, remains challenging by existing fabricating techniques that require complicated procedures and are often only applicable at bulk scales. Here, inspired by ubiquitous phase separation phenomena in biology, we present a one-step fabrication method based on aqueous phase separation to construct two-aqueous-phase gels that comprise multiple phases with distinct physicochemical properties. The gels fabricated by this approach exhibit enhanced interfacial mechanics compared with their counterparts obtained from conventional layer-by-layer methods. Moreover, two-aqueous-phase gels with programmable structures and tunable physicochemical properties can be conveniently constructed by adjusting the polymer constituents, gelation conditions, and combining different fabrication techniques, such as 3D-printing. The versatility of our approach is demonstrated by mimicking the key features of several biological architectures at different lengths: macroscale muscle-tendon connections; mesoscale cell patterning; microscale molecular compartmentalization. Deciphering the intrinsic molecular logic of empirical crop breeding from a genomic perspective is a decisive prerequisite for breeding-by-design (BbD), but remains not well established. Here, we decoded the historical features of past rice breeding by phenotyping and haplotyping 546 accessions covering the majority of cultivars bred in the history of Northeast China (NEC). We revealed that three groups founded the genetic diversities in NEC rice with distinct evolution patterns and traced and verified the breeding footprints to known or genome-wide association study (GWAS)-detected quantitative trait loci (QTLs), or introgressions from indica sub-species with chronological changes in allele frequencies. Then we summarized a rice breeding trend/principle in NEC, and combined with the successful example in breeding and application of Zhongkefa5 to demonstrate the guiding value of our conclusion for BbD in practice. Our study provides a paradigm for decoding the breeding history of a specific crop to guide BbD, which may have implications in different crop breeding. Since automobile engine fault is the main factor leading to a vehicle breaking down, engine fault diagnosis has captured a lot of attention. Fault diagnosis identifies fault types to facilitate maintenance. However, the method of the warning before the fault occurs is more attractive to users and is more challenging. Therefore, this study would like to explore the feasibility of implementing automobile engine fault early warning based on the fault diagnosis model. First, the theoretical method of a fault domain is established, and the state of the engine is regarded as a point in n-dimensional space. The normal or fault of the engine will correspond to different state domains in this space. Second, to diagnose multiple fault types at the same time, an ensemble model based on multiple machine learning methods is established. The probability outputs by the ensemble model measure the distance between the point and each fault domain in the space. Finally, considering the temporal factor, an early warning threshold is established based on the probability, and a fault warning model is established by using the dual probability structure. Comparative experiments show that the proposed method can greatly reduce the calculation time based on ensuring the accuracy of early warning and is suitable for real-time early warning of multiple faults. Alumina-silicon carbide (Al2O3-SiC) composite powder (ASCP) was synthesized by molten salt method with silicon dioxide, carbon black, and Al powder as starting materials and NaCl and KCl together as molten salt medium. Effects of temperature and holding time on the phase composition and morphology were systematically investigated. Possible reactions involved in synthesis process of Al–Si–O–C system were analyzed by thermodynamic calculation, and synthesis mechanism was discussed. As-prepared ASCP was utilized to fabricate Al2O3-SiC composite bulk materials by pressureless route. Results show that molten salt is an essential factor to lower synthesis temperature. ASCP was synthesized at 1300 °C by heating for 4 h and template mechanism was found to play an important role. The bulk sample obtained by sintering at 1500 °C for 4 h attained apparent porosity of 42.3%, bulk density of 1.81 g cm−3, and higher compressive strength of 16.4 MPa. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Soil salinization is a worldwide environmental problem, especially in the arid and semiarid regions of northeastern China, which are heavily affected by soda saline–alkaline stress. At present, there is an urgent need to improve the soda saline–alkaline stress tolerance of rice. Results: Stress-associated proteins are involved in regulating the abiotic stresses in plants. There are 18 members of the rice stress-associated protein (OsSAP) gene family. In this study, the expression levels of OsSAP6 in leaves and roots were upregulated with increasing NaHCO3 stress duration. OsSAP6 was located in nucleus and cytoplasm. The bud length and total root length of OsSAP6 overexpression rice were significantly longer than those of Lj11 (Oryza sativa longjing11) during germination stage, and the survival rates, plant height and malondialdehyde content at the seedling stage showed tolerance growth of saline–alkaline stress. The expression of OsCu/Zn-SOD, OsAPX2, and OsCAT1 in transgenic lines was increased significantly under SAE (soda saline–alkali soil eluent) stress. OsSAP6 interacts with OsPK5 according to yeast two-hybrid screening and luciferase complementation experiments. The expression of OsPK5 increased under NaHCO3 and H2O2 stress, and the overexpression of OsPK5 in rice improved soda saline–alkaline tolerance. Conclusion: Overexpression of OsSAP6 in rice significantly enhanced saline–alkaline tolerance compared with the wild type. It is speculated that OsSAP6 responds to soda salinity stress and interacts with OsPK5 to positively regulate soda saline–alkaline tolerance through ROS homeostasis. In metallographic examination, spherular pearlite gradation, an important step in a metallographic examination, is the main indicator used to assess the reliability of heat-resistant steel. Recognition of pearlite spheroidization via the manual way mainly depends on the subjective perceptions and experience of each inspector. Deep learning-based methods can eliminate the effects of the subjective factors that affect manual recognition. However, images with incorrect labels, known as noisy images, challenge successful application of image recognition of deep learning models to spherular pearlite gradation. A deep-learning-based label noise method for metallographic image recognition is thus proposed to solve this problem. We use a filtering process to pretreat the raw datasets and append a retraining process for deep learning models. The presented method was applied to image recognition for spherular pearlite gradation on a metallographic image dataset which contains 422 images. Meanwhile, three classic deep learning models were also used for image recognition, individually and coupled with the proposed method. Results showed that accuracy of image recognition by a deep learning model solely is lower than the one coupled with our method. Particularly, accuracy of ResNet18 was improved from 72.27% to 77.01%. Flowering time is one of the most fundamental factors that determine the distribution and final yield of rice. Ehd1 (Early heading date 1) is a B-type response regulator which functions as a flowering time activator. Although diverse flowering time genes have been reported as regulatory factors of Ehd1 expression, the potential regulators of Ehd1 largely remain to be identified. Here, we identified a basic leucine zipper transcription factor bZIP65, a homolog of bZIP71, as a new negative regulator of Ehd1. The overexpression of bZIP65 delays flowering, while bzip65 mutants have similar flowering time to SJ2 (Songjing2) in both long-day and short-day conditions. Biochemically, bZIP65 associates with Ehd1 promoter and transcriptionally represses the expression of Ehd1. Moreover, we found that bZIP65 enhances H3K27me3 level of Ehd1. Taken together, we cloned a new gene, bZIP65, regulating rice heading date, and uncovered the mechanism of bZIP65 delaying flowering time, where bZIP65 increases the H3K27me3 level of Ehd1 and transcriptionally represses the expression of Ehd1, similar to its homolog bZIP71. This research aims to investigate how organizational high‐commitment HRM, leader's trust, and coworker support influence well‐being in the workplace. Based on signaling theory and conservation of resources theory, we first posit that high‐commitment HRM is positively related to work well‐being through reducing job insecurity. We also assume that leader's trust in subordinates and coworker support serve as important moderators in this relationship. We adopt a multilevel, multisource field survey with 1369 supervisors and 6975 employees from 128 firms in China. Results support our hypotheses, indicating that job insecurity mediates the relationship between high‐commitment HRM and work well‐being. Leader's trust in subordinates and coworker support moderate the mediating effect of job insecurity; specifically, the effect of job insecurity is stronger when leader's trust is high rather than low, and when coworker support is low rather than high. These findings provide a finer‐grained understanding of how organizational HRM, leaders, and coworkers interact to affect employee job insecurity and, finally, work well‐being. Flowering time is a fundamental factor determining the global distribution and final yield of rice (Oryza sativa). Although diverse flowering time genes have been reported in this crop, the transcriptional regulation of its key flowering genes are poorly understood. Here, we report that a basic leucine zipper transcription factor, bZIP71, functions as a flowering repressor. The overexpression of bZIP71 delays flowering, while the bzip71 mutant flowers early in both long‐day and short‐day conditions. A genetic analysis showed that the regulation of flowering by bZIP71 might be independent of Heading date 2 (Hd2), Hd4, and Hd5. Importantly, bZIP71 directly associates with the Early heading date 1 (Ehd1) promoter and represses its transcription, and genetically the function of bZIP71 is impaired in the ehd1 mutant. Moreover, bZIP71 interacts with major components of polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2), SET domain group protein 711 (SDG711), and Fertilization independent endosperm 2 (FIE2), through which bZIP71 regulates the H3K27me3 level of Ehd1. Taken together, we present a transcriptional regulatory mechanism in which bZIP71 enhances the H3K27me3 level of Ehd1 and transcriptionally represses its expression, which not only offers a novel insight into a flowering pathway, but also provides a valuable putative target for the genetic engineering and breeding of elite rice cultivars. Background: This study aimed to investigate the associations of pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI) and gestational weight gain (GWG) with anogenital distance (AGD) among newborns. Methods: The study included 556 mother-newborn pairs from the Jiashan birth cohort. AGD was measured as AGDAP (from the center of the anus to the anterior base of the penis, where the penile tissue meets the pubic bone) and AGDAS (from the center of the anus to the posterior base of the scrotum, where the skin changes from rugate to smooth) in males and AGDAC (from the center of the anus to the clitoris) and AGDAF (from the center of the anus to the posterior convergence of the fourchette) in females. Multiple linear regression models were used to estimate the associations of pre-pregnancy BMI and GWG, with AGD. Results: After adjusting for pre-pregnancy BMI and other potential confounders, male newborns whose mothers had excessive GWG had shorter AGDAP than those whose mothers had normal GWG. Male newborns whose mothers had normal pre-pregnancy BMI and inadequate/excessive GWG had shorter AGDAP than the reference group where mothers had normal pre-pregnancy BMI and GWG in stratified analyses. Conclusion: Gestational weight gain during pregnancy was associated with AGD in newborns in this birth cohort. We extracted information about maternal lifestyles, social demographic characteristics, diet, and medical history from questionnaires conducted during 8–16 gestational weeks and medical records. AGD among newborns was measured within 3 days of delivery. We found that maternal excessive GWG was associated with shorter AGD in male newborns after adjusting for maternal pre-pregnancy BMI in multiple linear regression models. The study also suggested that maternal inadequate GWG was associated with a shorter AGD in male newborns, which needed to be corroborated in further studies with a larger sample size. Rapid and high‐resolution histological imaging with minimal tissue preparation has long been a challenging and yet captivating medical pursuit. Here, the authors propose a promising and transformative histological imaging method, termed computational high‐throughput autofluorescence microscopy by pattern illumination (CHAMP). With the assistance of computational microscopy, CHAMP enables high‐throughput and label‐free imaging of thick and unprocessed tissues with large surface irregularity at an acquisition speed of 10 mm2/10 s with 1.1‐µm lateral resolution. Moreover, the CHAMP image can be transformed into a virtually stained histological image (Deep‐CHAMP) through unsupervised learning within 15 s, where significant cellular features are quantitatively extracted with high accuracy. The versatility of CHAMP is experimentally demonstrated using mouse brain/kidney and human lung tissues prepared with various clinical protocols, which enables a rapid and accurate intraoperative/postoperative pathological examination without tissue processing or staining, demonstrating its great potential as an assistive imaging platform for surgeons and pathologists to provide optimal adjuvant treatment. Grain size and leaf angle are key agronomic traits that determine final yields in rice. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms are not well understood. Here we demonstrate that the Oryza sativa Mitogen Activated Protein Kinase Kinase Kinase OsMKKK70 regulates grain size and leaf angle in rice. Overexpressing OsMKKK70 caused plants to produce longer seeds. The osmkkk62/70 double mutant and the osmkkk55/62/70 triple mutant displayed significantly smaller seeds and a more erect leaf angle compared to the wild type, indicating that OsMKKK70 functions redundantly with its homologs OsMKKK62 and OsMKKK55. Biochemical analysis demonstrated that OsMKKK70 is an active kinase and that OsMKKK70 interacts with OsMKK4 and promotes OsMAPK6 phosphorylation. In addition, the osmkkk62/70 double mutant showed reduced sensitivity to Brassinosteroids (BRs). Finally, overexpressing constitutively active OsMKK4, OsMAPK6, and OsWRKY53 can partially complement the smaller seed size, erect leaf, and BR hyposensitivity of the osmkkk62/70 double mutant. Taken together, these findings suggest that OsMKKK70 might regulate grain size and leaf angle in rice by activating OsMAPK6 and that OsMKKK70, OsMKK4, OsMAPK6, and OsWRKY53 function in a common signaling pathway that controls grain shape and leaf angle. Accurate detection of driving fatigue is helpful in significantly reducing the rate of road traffic accidents. Electroencephalogram (EEG) based methods are proven to be efficient to evaluate mental fatigue. Due to its high non-linearity, as well as significant individual differences, how to perform EEG fatigue mental state evaluation across different subjects still keeps challenging. In this study, we propose a Label-based Alignment Multi-Source Domain Adaptation (LA-MSDA) for cross-subject EEG fatigue mental state evaluation. Specifically, LA-MSDA considers the local feature distributions of relevant labels between different domains, which efficiently eliminates the negative impact of significant individual differences by aligning label-based feature distributions. In addition, the strategy of global optimization is introduced to address the classifier confusion decision boundary issues and improve the generalization ability of LA-MSDA. Experimental results show LA-MSDA can achieve remarkable results on EEG-based fatigue mental state evaluation across subjects, which is expected to have wide application prospects in practical brain-computer interaction (BCI), such as online monitoring of driver fatigue, or assisting in the development of on-board safety systems. Flowering time of rice (Oryza sativa L.) is among the most important agronomic traits for region adaptation and grain yield. In the process of rice breeding, efficient and slightly modulating the flowering time of an elite cultivar would be more popular with breeder. Hence, we are interested in slightly increasing the expression of flowering repressors by CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing system. It was predicated there were three uORFs in 5' leader sequence of Hd2. In this study, through editing Hd2 uORFs, we got four homozygous mutant lines. Phenotypic analysis showed that the hd2 urf edited lines flowered later by 4.6–11.2 days relative to wild type SJ2. Supporting the later flowering phenotype, the expression of Ehd1, Hd3a, and RFT1 is significantly decreased in hd2 urf than that in wild type. Moreover, we found that the transcription level of Hd2 is not affected, whereas the Hd2 protein level was increased in hd2 urf compared with wild type, which indicated that Hd2 uORFs indeed affect the translation of a downstream Hd2 pORF. In summary, we developed a efficient approach for delaying rice heading date based on editing uORF region of flowering repressor, which is time and labor saving compared to traditional breeding. In future, uORF of other flowering time related genes, including flowering promoter and flowering repressor genes, can also be used as targets to fine-tune the flowering time of varieties. Purpose: We draw on the conservation of resources theory to explore when and how a high-commitment work system (HCWS) improves employees' work well-being. Design/methodology/approach: Data were collected from 64 branches in a high-tech company, involving 64 supervisors and 434 employees to examine the influence of branch-level HCWS on employees' work well-being at individual level. Findings: Consistent with our predictions, the results indicate that a well-designed human resource management (HRM) system (i.e. HCWS) helps to enhance employees' work well-being. Psychological empowerment is seen as an important mechanism linking HCWS with work well-being. The effects of HCWS on psychological empowerment and work well-being are significantly positive only when leader trust in employees is high. Originality/value: This study indicates a novel resource theoretical perspective regarding the HRM system-employee well-being relationship. It provides insights into how contextual resources (HCWS) enhance employees' work well-being by potentiating the effect of personal resources (psychological empowerment). Ceramizable silicone rubber composites were prepared by the melting blending method. The tensile properties, flame retardant property, and volume resistivity of the silicone rubber composites were tested. The results show that the tensile property of composites decline with the increasing flux amount. The introduction of more impurity ions improves the conductivity of the composites. The addition of SiO2 enhances the compactness of the filler network structure, and the elastic deformation and the tensile strength of the composites are also increased. The migration of carriers is hindered, which promotes the increase of volume resistivity of composites. Because of the synergistic effect of a variety of inorganic fillers, composite materials have a better flame retardant property. When the part of weight of glass powder and SiO2 is 40: 40, the oxygen index of the composites is the highest, meanwhile, the peak heat release rate and the peak smoke production rate are the lowest, and the fire risk is smaller. The blending of EVA and silicone rubber improves the rigidity and plastic deformation of the composites, and also changes the dispersion state of the fillers. Laser diodes (LDs) have been considered as cost-effective and compact excitation sources to overcome the requirement of costly and bulky pulsed laser sources that are commonly used in photoacoustic microscopy (PAM). However, the spatial resolution and/or imaging speed of previously reported LD-based PAM systems have not been optimized simultaneously. In this paper, we developed a high-speed and high-resolution LD-based PAM system using a continuous wave LD, operating at a pulsed mode, with a repetition rate of 30 kHz, as an excitation source. A hybrid scanning mechanism that synchronizes a one-dimensional galvanometer mirror and a two-dimensional motorized stage is applied to achieve a fast imaging capability without signal averaging due to the high signal-to-noise ratio. By optimizing the optical system, a high lateral resolution of 4.8 μm has been achieved. Even though well known in type 2 diabetes, the existence of brain changes in type 1 diabetes (T1D) and both their neuroanatomical and clinical features are less well characterized. To fill the void in the current understanding of this disease, we sought to determine the possible neural correlate in long-duration T1D at several levels, including macrostructural, microstructural cerebral damage, and blood flow alterations. In this cross-sectional study, we compared a cohort of 61 patients with T1D with an average disease duration of 21 years with 54 well-matched control subjects without diabetes in a multimodal MRI protocol providing macrostructural metrics (cortical thickness and structural volumes), microstructural measures (T1-weighted/T2-weighted [T1w/T2w] ratio as a marker of myelin content, inflammation, and edema), and cerebral blood flow. Patients with T1D had higher T1w/T2w ratios in the right parahippocampal gyrus, the executive part of both putamina, both thalami, and the cerebellum. These alterations were reflected in lower putaminal and thalamic volume bilaterally. No cerebral blood flow differences between groups were found in any of these structures, suggesting nonvascular etiologies of these changes.
