We study neutrino masses in the framework of the supersymmetric inverse seesaw model. Different from the non-supersymmetric version a minimal realization with just one pair of singlets is sufficient to explain all neutrino data. We compute the neutrino mass matrix up to 1-loop order and show how neutrino data can be described in terms of the model parameters. We then calculate rates for lepton flavour violating (LFV) processes, such as μ → eγ, and chargino decays to singlet scalar neutrinos. The latter decays are potentially observable at the LHC and show a characteristic decay pattern dictated by the same parameters which generate the observed large neutrino angles. We study CP violation in chargino production and decay in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with complex parameters at an e+e- linear collider with longitudinally polarised beams. We investigate CP-sensitive asymmetries by means of triple product correlations and study their dependence on the complex parameters M1 and μ. We give numerical predictions for the asymmetries and their measurability at the future International Linear Collider. We study lepton flavour violating decays of neutralinos and sleptons within the minimal supersymmetric standard model, assuming two and three generation mixings in the slepton sector. We take into account the most recent bounds on flavour violating rare lepton decays. Taking the SPS1a’ scenario as an example, we show that some of the lepton flavour violating branching ratios of neutralinos and sleptons can be sizable (∼5–10%). We study the impact of the lepton flavour violating neutralino and slepton decays on the di-lepton mass distributions measured at the LHC. We find that they can result in novel and characteristic edge structures in the distributions. In particular, double-edge structures can appear in the eτ and μτ mass spectra if $\tilde{\tau}_1$ is the lightest slepton. The appearance of these remarkable structures provides a powerful test of supersymmetric lepton flavour violation at the LHC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We consider the process e+e- → &Xmacr;I+ &Xmacr;j- at a linear collider with transverse e± beam polarization. We investigate the influence of the CP phases on azimuthal asymmetries in e+e- → &Xmacr;i+&Xmacr;j- with subsequent two-body decays &Xmacr;j- → &vmacr;eℓ- and &Xmacr;j- → W-&Xmacr;10 . We show that triple product correlations involving the transverse e± beam polarization vanish if at least one subsequent chargino decay is not observed. We derive this result within the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with complex parameters; however, it holds also in the general MSSM with SUSY flavor violation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We define a CP-sensitive asymmetry in the sfermion decays F → F Xj0 q q, based on triple product correlations between the momenta of the outgoing fermions. We study this asymmetry in the MSSM with complex parameters. We show that the asymmetry is sensitive to the phases of the parameters µ and M1. The leading contribution stems from the decay chain f → f Xj0 → fXj0 Z → f Xj0 l l (f Xj0 q q), which we obtain analytic formulae for the amplitude squared. The asymmetry can go up to 3% for f → f X10 l l, and up to 20% for f → f Xj0 q q. We also estimate the rates necessary to measure the asymmetry. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We present a theoretical study of ac charge transport arising from adiabatic temporal variation of zero-field spin splitting in a quasi-one-dimensional hole system (realized, e.g., in a quantum wire or point contact). As in conduction-electron systems, part of the current results from spin-dependent electromotive forces. We find that the magnitude of this current contribution is two orders of magnitude larger for holes and exhibits parametric dependences that make it more easily accessible experimentally. Our results suggest hole structures to be good candidates for realizing devices where spin currents are pumped by time-varying electric fields. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
