Bidens tripartita L. is a cadmium (Cd) accumulator. However, the real-time influx or efflux of Cd2+ around its root apex has not yet been performed. The object of this experiment was to compare the roles of added ions in solution on dynamic Cd extraction by B. tripartita root tip. Quartz sand was used to grow the seedling of B. tripartite. The Cd concentrations of all samples were determined by using ICP-OES after digestion. The Cd2+ influx around the root apex was measured in vivo, i.e., using non-invasive micro-test technology (NMT). The results showed that the Cd2+ influx was found to be decreased by 35.9%, 43.7%, 20.6%, and 57.5% under 10 μM Cd combined with high content Ca2+, Mg2+, Fe3+, or K+ (16 mM, 8 mM, 0.5 mM, 18 mM, respectively), compared to that under 10 μM Cd stress. But Cd treatments with low content ions with 0.05 mM Fe3+ or 0.5 mM S increased the Cd2+ influx in roots by 20.5% and 34.6%, respectively. It was also found that Cd treatment with high concentrations of Ca2+ or K+ increased the shoot biomass of B. tripartita seedlings. Chl a and b contents were significantly decreased in the Cd treatments with low concentrations of Fe3+ or S compared to those under Cd stress alone, and the dehydrogenase activity of the roots decreased in the treatment of Cd with 0.05 mM Fe3+ or 0.5 mM S. Our results indicate that the addition of 0.05 mM Fe3+ or 0.5 mM S promoted Cd2+ influx and Cd uptake by B. tripartita. Unlike traditional measurement, the Cd2+ movements of three-dimensional space around the B. tripartita root tip had been performed by NMT. It was suggested that the effects of S and Fe3+ on the remediation potential of B. tripartita need to be further researched in the future. Background: People with autoimmune diseases are prone to cancer, and there is a close relationship between rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The bone marrow (BM) is affected throughout the course of RA, with a variety of hematologic involvement. Hopes are pinned on rheumatoid arthritis research to obtain BM biomarkers for AML. Methods: Synovial transcriptome sequencing data for RA and osteoarthritis (OA), and single-cell sequencing data for RA and controls were obtained from the GEO database.Bone marrow sequencing data for AML patients and normal subjects were obtained from the UCSC Xena database. The final immune heterogeneity characteristics of RA were determined through ssGSEA analysis, gene differential expression analysis, fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm, and XGboost algorithm. Random Ferns classifiers (RFs) are used to identify new bone marrow markers for AML. Results: SELL, PTPRC, IL7R, CCR7, and KLRB1 were able to distinguish leukemia cells from normal cells well, with AUC values higher than 0.970. Background: Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is increasingly used as a biomarker for metastatic rectal cancer and has recently shown promising results in the early detection of recurrence risk. Methods: We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore the prognostic value of ctDNA detection in LARC patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT). We systematically searched electronic databases for observational or interventional studies that included LARC patients undergoing nCRT. Study selection according to the PRISMA guidelines and quality assessment of the REMARK tool for biomarker studies. The primary endpoint was the impact of ctDNA detection at different time points (baseline, post-nCRT, post-surgery) on relapse-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS). The secondary endpoint was to study the association between ctDNA detection and pathological complete response(pCR) at different time points. Results: After further review and analysis of the 625 articles initially retrieved, we finally included 10 eligible studies. We found no significant correlation between ctDNA detection at baseline and long-term survival outcomes or the probability of achieving a pCR. However, the presence of ctDNA at post-nCRT was associated with worse RFS (HR = 9.16, 95% CI, 5.48-15.32), worse OS (HR = 8.49, 95% CI, 2.20-32.72), and worse pCR results (OR = 0.40, 95%CI, 0.18-0.89). The correlation between the presence of ctDNA at post-surgery and worse RFS was more obvious (HR = 14.94; 95% CI, 7.48-9.83). Conclusions: Our results suggest that ctDNA detection is a promising biomarker for the evaluation of response and prognosis in LARC patients undergoing nCRT, which merits further evaluation in the following prospective trials. An elite hexaploid triticale Yukuri from Australia was used as a bridge for transferring valuable genes from Secale cereale L. into common wheat for enriching the genetic variability of cultivated wheat. Non-denaturing-fluorescence in situ hybridization (ND-FISH) identified that Yukuri was a secondary triticale with a complete set of rye chromosomes and a 6D(6A) substitution. Seed protein electrophoresis showed that Yukuri had a unique composition of glutenin subunits. A set of Yukuri-derived wheat-rye introgression lines were created from a Yukuri x wheat population, and all lines were identified by ND-FISH with multiple probes and validated by diagnostic molecular marker analysis. A total of 59 wheat-rye introgression lines including modified chromosome structural variations of wheat, and new complex recombinant chromosomes of rye were detected through ND-FISH and Oligo-FISH painting based on oligonucleotide pools derived from wheat-barley genome collinear regions. Wheat lines carrying the 1R chromosome from Yukuri displayed resistance to both stripe rust and powdery mildew, while the lines carrying the 3RL and 7RL chromosome arms showed stripe rust resistance. The chromosome 1R-derived lines were found to exhibit a significant effect on most of the dough-related parameters, and chromosome 5R was clearly associated with increased grain weight. The development of the wheat-rye cytogenetic stocks carrying disease resistances and superior agronomic traits, as well as the molecular markers and FISH probes will promote the introgression of abundant variation from rye into wheat improvement programs. As a perennial herb in Triticeae, Elymus dahuricus is widely distributed in Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau and Central Asia. It has been used as high-quality fodders for improving degraded grassland. The genomic constitution of E. dahuricus (2n = 6x = 42) has been revealed as StStHHYY by cytological approaches. However, the universal karyotyping nomenclature system of E. dahuricus is not fully established by traditional fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) and genomic in situ hybridization (GISH). In this study, the non-denaturing fluorescent in situ hybridization (ND-FISH) using 14 tandem-repeat oligos could effectively distinguish the entire E. dahuricus chromosomes pairs, while Oligo-FISH painting by bulked oligo pools based on wheat-barley collinear regions combined with GISH analysis, is able to precisely determine the linkage group and sub-genomes of the individual E. dahuricus chromosomes. We subsequently established the 42-chromosome karyotype of E. dahuricus with distinctive chromosomal FISH signals, and characterized a new type of intergenomic rearrangement between 2H and 5Y. Furthermore, the comparative chromosomal localization of the centromeric tandem repeats and immunostaining by anti-CENH3 between cultivated barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) and E. dahuricus suggests that centromere-associated sequences in H subgenomes were continuously changing during the process of polyploidization. The precise karyotyping system based on ND-FISH and Oligo-FISH painting methods will be efficient for describing chromosomal rearrangements and evolutionary networks for polyploid Elymus and their related species. Though Bidens pilosa L. has been confirmed to be a potential Cd hyperaccumulator, the accumulation mechanism is not yet clear. The dynamic and real-time uptake of Cd2+ influx by B. pilosa root apexes was determined using non-invasive micro-test technology (NMT), which partly explored the influencing factors of the Cd hyperaccumulation mechanism under the conditions of different exogenous nutrient ions. The results indicated that Cd2+ influxes at 300 μm around the root tips decreased under Cd treatments with 16 mM Ca2+, 8 mM Mg2+, 0.5 mM Fe2+, 8 mM SO42− or 18 mM K+ compared to single Cd treatments. The Cd treatments with a high concentration of nutrient ions showed an antagonistic effect on Cd2+ uptake. However, Cd treatments with 1 mM Ca2+, 0.5 mM Mg2+, 0.5 mM SO42− or 2 mM K+ had no effect on the Cd2+ influxes as compared with single Cd treatments. It is worth noting that the Cd treatment with 0.05 mM Fe2+ markedly increased Cd2+ influxes. The addition of 0.05 mM Fe2+ exhibited a synergistic effect on Cd uptake, which could be low concentration Fe2+ rarely involved in blocking Cd2+ influx and often forming an oxide membrane on the root surface to help the Cd uptake by B. pilosa. The results also showed that Cd treatments with high concentration of nutrient ions significantly increased the concentrations of chlorophyll and carotenoid in leaves and the root vigor of B. pilosa relative to single Cd treatments. Our research provides novel perspectives with respect to Cd uptake dynamic characteristics by B. pilosa roots under different exogenous nutrient ion levels, and shows that the addition of 0.05 mM Fe2+ could promote the phytoremediation efficiency for B. pilosa. An algorithm to extract the disk boundary and center of EUV solar image using the Sobel operator, Fuzzy Local Information C-Means Clustering algorithm (FLICM), and the least square circle fitting method is proposed in this paper. The Sobel operator can determine the solar disk boundary preliminarily, and then the image is processed further using the FLICM algorithm. After the background is removed based on the clustered image and the boundary points can be highlighted, these points are fitted using the least square circle fitting method as the final boundary circle. The solar data used in this paper was from the observation of the Solar Dynamics Observatory Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (SDO/AIA) instrument. The 2523 19.3 nm solar images covering solar minimum, moderate solar activity, and more active suns were calculated using the proposed algorithm to analyze the accuracy statistically. The statistical comparison results demonstrate that the method is accurate and effective. The construction of the 28-chromosome karyotype of Dasypyrum breviaristatum was undertaken using multicolor non-denaturing fluorescent in situ hybridization (ND-FISH) and Oligo-FISH painting protocols. A novel wheat-D. breviaristatum line D2138 contained 44 chromosomes including a pair of D. breviaristatum 6VbS.2VbL translocation chromosomes. Individual F2 and F3 progenies of a cross between D2138 with wheat lines CM62, MY11 and JM22, respectively, were characterized using ND-FISH and molecular markers. A relatively high chromosome alteration rate within wheat and D. breviaristatum 6VbS and 2VbL was observed in the three progeny populations, suggesting that chromosome 6VbS.2VbL has a gametocidal-like gene. The different types of translocation and deletion lines allowed localization of D. breviaristatum-specific gliadin coding genes on sub-telomeric regions of 6VbS by PCR and acid polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis analysis. The positive effect of the D. breviaristatum 6VbS on agronomic and quality characters was also demonstrated. With the deployment of 5G Internet of Things (IoT) in the power system, the efficiency of smart grid is improved by increasing two-way interactions in different layers in smart grid. However, it introduces more attack interfaces that the traditional information security system in smart grid cannot response in time. The neuroscience-inspired models have shown their effectiveness in solving security and optimization problems in smart grid. How to improve the security mechanism in smart grid while taking into account the optimization of data transmission efficiency using neuroscience-inspired algorithms is the problem to be solved in this study. Therefore, an information security system based on artificial neural network (ANN) and improved multiple protection model is proposed. Based on the ANN algorithm, the link state sample space is used to train the model to obtain the optimal transmission path in 5G power communication network. Integrating the intelligent link state module, the zero-trust security protection platform using case-based learning algorithm is designed and taken as the first protection, the network security logical isolation facility is taken as the second protection, and the forward and backward isolation facilities are set as the third protection to achieve the strengthened security of 5G IoT in smart grid. The experimental results show the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed algorithms. In addition, the experimental results also show that the proposed system can resist malicious terminal access, terminal hijacking, data tampering and eavesdropping, protocol fuzzy, and denial-of-service attacks, so as to reduce the security risks of 5G IoT in smart grid. Since the proposed system can be easily integrated into the existing smart grid structure in China, the proposed system can provide a reference for the design and implementation of 5G IoT in smart grid. Background. Dysthyroid optic neuropathy (DON) is one of the most serious vision-threatening complications of thyroid eye disease (TED); however, accurate and established diagnostic tools for DON are yet lacking. The present study was aimed at identifying new diagnostic factors for the accurate diagnosis of DON. Methods. This retrospective cross-sectional study included 25 TED patients (50 eyes) with enlarged extraocular muscles, no previous anti-inflammatory therapy, and the absence of other vision-affecting diseases between May 2017 and August 2019. Baseline data, such as gender, age, ophthalmological history, thyroid disease and management, TED history including clinical features, management, and long-term results, ophthalmological examinations, serology examinations, and single-photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT) results, were extracted. The diagnostic criteria were as follows: (1) best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) loss coexisting with either of the following—increased latency or reduction of amplitude on visual evoked potential (VEP), impaired color vision, visual field defects, contrast sensitivity impairment, and optic disk swelling—and (2) Barret t ' s index ≥ 60 % in CT. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses assessed the differences in age, gender, eyes, medical history, clinical activity, thyroid hormone and antibodies, uptake ratio (UR) of extraocular muscles in SPECT/CT, and volumetric orbital apex crowding index (VACI) using the generalized estimation equation. Consequently, the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) of the significant factors was constructed. Results. Univariate analysis revealed significant differences in the clinical activity, free triiodothyronine (FT3), free thyroxine (FT4), thyrotrophin receptor antibody (TRAb) levels, the UR of superior and medial rectus, and VACI between DON and TED (without DON) groups. Multivariate regression analysis revealed that TRAb and VACI were significantly different. ROC analysis showed that the univariate models of TRAb or VACI and the multivariate model were effective indicators of DON, while the multivariate model had the highest area under the ROC curve. Background: The identification of chromosomes among Avena species have been studied by C-banding and in situ hybridization. However, the complicated results from several cytogenetic nomenclatures for identifying oat chromosomes are often contradictory. A universal karyotyping nomenclature system for precise chromosome identification and comparative evolutionary studies would be essential for genus Avena based on the recently released genome sequences of hexaploid and diploid Avena species. Results: Tandem repetitive sequences were predicted and physically located on chromosomal regions of the released Avena sativa OT3098 genome assembly v1. Eight new oligonucleotide (oligo) probes for sequential fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) were designed and then applied for chromosome karyotyping on mitotic metaphase spreads of A. brevis, A. nuda, A. wiestii, A. ventricosa, A. fatua, and A. sativa species. We established a high-resolution standard karyotype of A. sativa based on the distinct FISH signals of multiple oligo probes. FISH painting with bulked oligos, based on wheat-barley collinear regions, was used to validate the linkage group assignment for individual A. sativa chromosomes. We integrated our new Oligo-FISH based karyotype system with earlier karyotype nomenclatures through sequential C-banding and FISH methods, then subsequently determined the precise breakage points of some chromosome translocations in A. sativa. Conclusions: This new universal chromosome identification system will be a powerful tool for describing the genetic diversity, chromosomal rearrangements and evolutionary relationships among Avena species by comparative cytogenetic and genomic approaches. Introduction: Distinguishing between the active and inactive stages of Graves' ophthalmopathy (GO) is essential for making treatment decisions. 99mTc-DTPA SPECT/CT is sensitive in identifying inflammation in extraocular muscles of GO patients, which we designate 99mTc-DTPA-active. This study aimed to evaluate the response of 99mTc-DTPA-active GO patients to local immunosuppressive therapy. Materials and methods: Sixty-four 99mTc-DTPA-active GO patients (89 eyes) were retrospectively analyzed. Forty-five patients (64 eyes) received repeated peribulbar triamcinolone injection, and 19 patients (25 eyes) received no immunosuppressive treatment. Ophthalmological assessment, including clinical activity score, eyelid retraction, eyelid aperture, proptosis, diplopia, and ocular mobility, was recorded before and after treatment. Results: Compared with untreated patients, the clinical activity score decreased significantly (P < 0.001) while eye symptoms (soft-tissue swelling and eyelid retraction and aperture) improved significantly (P = 0.02, P < 0.001, P < 0.001, respectively) in treated patients after six months. The inferior and medial recti were significantly smaller (P < 0.001, P < 0.001, respectively), and 99mTc-DTPA uptake in the two recti was significantly less (P = 0.001, P = 0.01, respectively) in treated patients than in untreated patients after 3 months. Conclusion: Clinical activity score of < 3 does not indicate inactive GO, as revealed with 99mTc-DTPA SPECT/CT. This paper studies cross-modal distance representation in traditional Chinese landscape painting in a contemporary museum context with special reference to the classic three axes of distance, i.e. level, deep, and high "distance." It observes how an artwork's "meaning" can be perceived through the bilingual presentation of the "distances" to bring about the realization of a "meditative distance," or the artist's aesthetic aspiration for a spiritual "freedom." Informed by the theory of three meta-functions in Systemic Functional Linguistics and Arnheim's discussion about distance cues, the study has closely examined a classical landscape painting in conjunction with its Chinese and English bilingual museum captions, with a view to tracing out their discursive meta-functions based on the visual-verbal coherence of distance representation. In so doing, the study takes museum discourse as a holistic multimodal interactive process of different sign systems at three levels of communication (i.e. extratextual, intersemiotic, and intertextual) to enable the modern viewer to better appreciate the aesthetic aspiration nursed by the meaning of the pictorially depicted distance(s) in an ancient landscape painting. The findings of the study will not only contribute to a better aesthetic contextualization of the traditional Chinese visual arts but also, in a practical vein, to the construction of a more informed museum discursive environment conducive to a spiritual journey, or a mental transcendence, that keeps the mundane world at a "meditative distance." The purely cognitive semantic approach to verbal distance representation has recently been enriched from the perspective of visual perception theory. Focusing on visual pragmatic effects, the present paper will use distance cues as a set of analytical tools and adopt the cognitive-functional model proposed elsewhere to further explore the issue of visual-verbal coherence through Guo Xi's Early Spring and the bilingual museum catalogue entries attached to it, in physical exhibitions or virtual museums, with a particular view to explaining how a linguistics- or stylistics-based analysis endorses the interpretation of a specific artwork on discursive and cultural levels. In the attempt to extract key information and talk patterns from YiXi talks in China to realize "strategic reading" for readers and newcomers of the speaking field, text mining methods are used by this work. The extraction of key information is realized by keyword extraction using the TF-IDF algorithm to show key information of one talk or one category of talks. Talk pattern recognition is realized by manual labeling (100 transcripts) and rule-based automatic programs (590 transcripts). The labeling accuracy rate of "main narrative angle" recognition is the highest (70.34%), followed by "opening form" (65.25%) and "main narrative object", and the "ending form" is around 50%, with the overall accuracy of the rule-based automatic recognition program for talk patterns at approximately 60%. The obtained results show that the proposed keyword extraction technology for transcripts can provide "strategic reading" to a certain extent. Mature speech mode can be summarized as follows: speakers tend to adopt a self-introducing opening format. They tell stories and experiences through a first-person narrative angle and express expectations and prospects for the future. This pattern is reasonable and can be referenced by new speakers. This paper presents an effort to clarify the conceptual confusion of the translator's voice. Drawing on the theoretical integration of narratology/narrative theories and translation studies, it begins with a sketch of the conceptual development of the translator's voice. Then, it proceeds to introduce the distinction between illocutionary intention and perlocutionary effect in speech act theory to rethink the vulnerabilities of conceptualization and identification of the translator's voice. The major finding of the paper is that the significance of the translator's voice has long been interpreted in a one-sided way. Tracing the translator's voice is not only a way of perceiving the translator's subjectivity, but also a perspective from which the implication of the interrelations between the translator's use of language and the translator's subject position for the target-reader may be better observed and understood. This article seeks to explore the way in which the notions of 'systemic' and 'functional' can better serve for the application of a translation quality assessment (TQA) model to the studies on the translation of museum texts. Grounded in the theoretical integration of translation studies and museum studies, the present research has shown through the redesign of the assessment procedure for the model that the judgment of the translation quality requires empirical analyses based upon both interlingual and intertextual comparison. Our objective is twofold. First, through investigating the notions such as 'quality', 'assessment' and 'systemic' in their own right, we are able to observe the weaknesses that previous models have. Second, we intend the model proposed here to be taken as a part of the effort to rethink the relationship between bilingual texts displayed in a museum environment, or in an online museum. The multi-source data collected by the power Internet of Things (IoT) provide the data foundation for the power big data analysis. Due to the limited computational capability and large amount of data collection terminals in power IoT, the traditional security mechanism has to be adapted to such an environment. In order to ensure the security of multi-source data in the power monitoring networks, a security system for multi-source big data in power monitoring networks based on the adaptive combined public key algorithm and an identity-based public key authentication protocol is proposed. Based on elliptic curve cryptography and combined public key authentication, the mapping value of user identification information is used to combine the information in a public and private key factor matrix to obtain the corresponding user key pair. The adaptive key fragment and combination method are designed so that the keys are generated while the status of terminals and key generation service is sensed. An identification-based public key authentication protocol is proposed for the power monitoring system where the authentication process is described step by step. Experiments are established to validate the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed system. The results show that the proposed model demonstrates satisfying performance in key update rate, key generation quantity, data authentication time, and data security. Finally, the proposed model is experimentally implemented in a substation power IoT environment where the application architecture and security mechanism are described. The security evaluation of the experimental implementation shows that the proposed model can resist a series of attacks such as counterfeiting terminal, data eavesdropping, and tampering.
