The article presents a case report of a female patient with a history of chronic HIV infection who was treated with abacavir/lamivudine, efavirenz and dolutegravir and developed moderate diarrhea. The patient was subjected to several tests including stool assay and multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and she underwent colonoscopy with biopsy. Her condition improved after discontinuing dolutegravir and switching back to efavirenz.
