Rub-impact is one of the common failures in dual-rotor systems, and seriously affects the machine's operation cost. Currently, research about this fault mainly focuses on models that gain initial excitation through rotor unbalance. Whereas, this excitation source is rarely aggravated during rotating machinery's full life period. Aiming at this issue, a Hertz impact-contact model of casing-disc-shaft dual-rotor system with rubbing fault caused by disc looseness is developed to simulate a deteriorating failure. Thus, the system vibration variation during the fault deterioration can be analyzed, and the necessary basis for prediction of the coupling faults are provided. In this model, slight unbalance provides the initial excitation amplified by disc looseness, from which the rub-impact defect is induced between the loose disc and the outer casing. Further, motion equations for this coupling fault system are derived to simulate the vibration signals. Result shows that the critical parameters significantly affect the system's vibration, and the deterioration of coupling faults takes the system from steady-state to chaotic-state. The study of this paper provides theoretical bases for the rub-impact fault tracing of dual-rotor systems, and proposes different scales to indicate the fault severity degree qualitatively and quantitatively. Space-surface bistatic synthetic aperture radar (SS-BiSAR) offers an additional observation angle for monostatic spaceborne SAR, making it a promising technology for high-accuracy deformation retrieval technology in local regions. Repeat-pass SS-BiSAR tomography can accurately estimate the surfaces of buildings and steep areas, effectively removing terrain phases during deformation retrieving. However, inaccuracies in the orbital ephemeris can lead to image geometry distortion, reducing image pair coherence, introducing interferometric phase errors, and consequently deteriorating tomographic precision. This paper precisely models the image geometry distortion and interferometric phase error caused by repeat-pass ephemeris error. We propose an ephemeris correction method based on the chirp-Z transform to address these issues. Furthermore, we introduce an accurate tomography model to improve 3D reconstruction accuracy. Our first SS-BiSAR tomography experiment, conducted using the Chinese Lutan-1 satellite, demonstrates that the correlation coefficient is improved by 0.16 after ephemeris error correction. This study is focused on the scaled consensus problem of second-order multi-agent systems (SOMASs) with nonlinear dynamics under fully distributed adaptive aperiodic intermittent (DAAPI) communication. Motivated by the non-reduced order approach (NROA), a novel Lyapunov function is proposed to directly analyze the scaled consensus of pure second-order MASs. By contrast with the existing results, the approach in this study avoids the double dimension problem arising from the reduced order method, which greatly alleviates the complexity of the theoretical analysis. Moreover, two new fully DAAPI communication protocols are well designed to achieve scaled consensus for leaderless and leader-following, respectively. It is worth noting that two entirely different time-varying gains are devised in the protocols to regulate the position and velocity states of the agent, respectively, which can realize more flexible and precise control to fulfill the goal of reducing the control cost. Objectives: This study aims to analyze the clinical characteristics of elderly patients with acute pancreatitis (AP) and investigate the effects of age on the clinical outcomes of AP. Methods: Patients aged ≥ 18 years with AP admitted within 72 h from 1 September 2013 to 31 August 2019 were included. Patients were divided into elderly (≥60 years) and non-elderly (<60 years) groups. Clinical data and outcomes were compared. Results: A total of 756 elderly and 4896 non-elderly patients with AP were included. The elderly patients had different etiological distributions and more severe clinical markers and scores. Age was an independent risk factor for mortality [odds ratio (OR): 2.911, 95% CI: 1.801–4.706, p < 0.001], intensive care unit admission (OR: 1.739, 95% CI: 1.126–2.685, p = 0.013), persistent organ failure (OR: 1.623, 95% CI: 1.326–1.987, p < 0.001), multiple organ failure (OR: 1.757, 95% CI: 1.186–2.604, p = 0.005), and infection (OR: 2.451, 95% CI: 1.994–3.013, p < 0.001). Adjusted multiple logistic regression and trend analysis confirmed the risk of the age for the outcomes. The deaths of elderly patients showed a biphasic pattern with peaks in the first and fifth weeks, in contrast to the single peak in the first week in the non-elderly patients. Conclusions: Elderly patients with AP were associated with worse clinical outcomes. Objective: Solanum nigrum L. (SNL) is a natural drugwith diverse bioactive components and multi‐targeted anti‐tumor effects, gaining increasing attention in clinical application. Method and Results: This paper reviews the studies on SNL by searching academic databases (Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct,and Web of Science, among others), analyzing its chemical compositions (alkaloids, saponins, polysaccharides, and polyphenols, among others), andbriefly describes the anti‐tumor mechanisms of the main components. Discussion: This paper discusses the shortcomings of the current research on SNL and proposes corresponding solutions, providing theoretical support for further research on its biological functions and clinical efficacy. Background: It has been suggested that gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) alters the growth trajectory of a fetus and increases the risk of abnormal birth weight. In spite of this, there is still a significant debate regarding the mode and optimal timing of diagnosing this condition. Our aim was to determine fetal growth velocity and birth biometry in pregnant women with GDM at varying risk levels. Methods: We conducted a cohort study involving 1023 pregnant women at a maternity hospital in Ma'anshan, China. All women completed an oral glucose tolerance test at 24–28 weeks' gestation. We measured fetal head circumference (HC), femoral length (FL), abdominal circumference (AC), biparietal diameter (BPD), and estimate fetal weight (EFW) by ultrasound at 17, 24, 31, and 35 weeks' gestation, respectively. Results: Overall, 5115 ultrasound scans were performed. Among both low-risk and medium–high-risk pregnant women at 17–24 weeks' gestation, GDM exposure was associated with an increase in fetal growth velocity. Neonates born to women with GDM at medium–high risk had significantly larger birth weights than those born to women without GDM, while this was not observed in women at low risk. Conclusion: In medium–high-risk pregnant women, exposure to GDM has a greater effect on the fetus, leading to abnormal fetal growth velocity that lasts beyond week 24. It is evident from our results that the effects of GDM on fetal growth differ between medium–high-risk pregnant women and low-risk pregnant women, and therefore a different screening program based on the risk factor for GDM is warranted. Little is known about the effect of the long-term application of organic and inorganic fertilizers on P-use efficiency, P budget, and the residual effect of P fertilizer. To clarify the effect of different fertilization on soil P balance in a rice (Oryza sativa L.)–wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) rotation system is helpful to promote the sustainable development of agriculture. Thus, a thirty-five-year fertilizer experiment was conducted with eight treatments, including an unfertilized control (CK); chemical nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) fertilizers; and organic manure (M) either alone or in combination treatments (N, NP, NPK, M, MN, MNP, and MNPK). The results indicated that crop yields and P uptake were higher in the combined application of manure and chemical fertilizer treatments than in the manure or chemical fertilizer alone treatments. Soil P budget indicated a 23.4–55.4 kg P ha−1 yr−1 surplus in the organic combined with or without mineral fertilizer treatments, but the soil P budget indicated a 20.0 and 21.9 kg P ha−1 yr−1 deficit in the control and N treatments. The proportion of residual fertilizer P converted to soil available P in NP, NPK, M, MN, MNP, and MNPK treatments was 4.5%, 4.8%, 19.1%, 19.0%, 11.5%, and 13.3%, respectively, over a 35-year period. Furthermore, according to the higher P content and crop uptake in organic manure treatment compared with chemical P fertilizer alone, an organic addition could effectively reduce the use of chemical fertilizer and become an effective way of sustainable development in practice. Nine jatrophane diterpenoids were isolated from the whole plant Euphorbia helioscopia, including two new ones, helioscopnins A (1) and B (2). Comprehensive spectroscopic data analysis and ECD calculations elucidated their structures, including absolute configurations. Soil contamination with heavy metals from industrial and mining activities poses significant environmental and public health risks, necessitating effective remediation strategies. This review examines the utilization of sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) for bioremediation of heavy metal-contaminated soils. Specifically, it focuses on SRB metabolic pathways for heavy metal immobilization, interactions with other microorganisms, and integration with complementary remediation techniques such as soil amendments and phytoremediation. We explore the mechanisms of SRB action, their synergistic relationships within soil ecosystems, and the effectiveness of combined remediation approaches. Our findings indicate that SRB can effectively immobilize heavy metals by converting sulfate to sulfide, forming stable metal sulfides, thereby reducing the bioavailability and toxicity of heavy metals. Nevertheless, challenges persist, including the need to optimize environmental conditions for SRB activity, address their sensitivity to acidic conditions and high heavy metal concentrations, and mitigate the risk of secondary pollution from excessive carbon sources. This study underscores the necessity for innovative and sustainable SRB-based bioremediation strategies that integrate multiple techniques to address the complex issue of heavy metal soil contamination. Enterprises often acquire technologies from external sources which are geographically dispersed. Although previous literatures have discussed the role of external technology acquisition (ETA) in enterprises' innovation performance, how innovation is affected by the breadth and depth of ETA is less investigated, and little is known about how geographical distance (GD) is involved. Therefore, this paper first analyses the relationship between the breadth, depth of ETA and enterprises' innovation performance with patent transaction data of listed manufacturing enterprises in China. Then we further investigate how GD moderates the relationship. Results show that both the breadth and depth of ETA positively affect enterprises' innovation performance. GD has no moderating effect on the relationship between the breadth of ETA and enterprises' innovation performance, but negatively moderates the relationship between the depth of ETA and enterprises' innovation performance. Background: Extracellular adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is an important signal molecule. In previous studies, intensive research had revealed the crucial roles of family with sequence similarity 3 member A (FAM3A) in controlling hepatic glucolipid metabolism, islet β cell function, adipocyte differentiation, blood pressure, and other biological and pathophysiological processes. Although mitochondrial protein FAM3A plays crucial roles in the regulation of glucolipid metabolism via stimulating ATP release to activate P2 receptor pathways, its mechanism in promoting ATP release in hepatocytes remains unrevealed. Methods: db/db, high-fat diet (HFD)-fed, and global pannexin 1 (PANX1) knockout mice, as well as liver sections of individuals, were used in this study. Adenoviruses and adeno-associated viruses were utilized for in vivo gene overexpression or inhibition. To evaluate the metabolic status in mice, oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), pyruvate tolerance test (PTT), insulin tolerance test (ITT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were conducted. Protein–protein interactions were determined by coimmunoprecipitation with mass spectrometry (MS) assays. Results: In livers of individuals and mice with steatosis, the expression of ATP-permeable channel PANX1 was increased (P < 0.01). Hepatic PANX1 overexpression ameliorated the dysregulated glucolipid metabolism in obese mice. Mice with hepatic PANX1 knockdown or global PANX1 knockout exhibited disturbed glucolipid metabolism. Restoration of hepatic PANX1 rescued the metabolic disorders of PANX1-deficient mice (P < 0.05). Mechanistically, ATP release is mediated by the PANX1-activated protein kinase B-forkhead box protein O1 (Akt-FOXO1) pathway to inhibit gluconeogenesis via P2Y receptors in hepatocytes. PANX1-mediated ATP release also activated calmodulin (CaM) (P < 0.01), which interacted with c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) to inhibit its activity, thereby deactivating the transcription factor activator protein-1 (AP1) and repressing fatty acid synthase (FAS) expression and lipid synthesis (P < 0.05). FAM3A stimulated the expression of PANX1 via heat shock factor 1 (HSF1) in hepatocytes (P < 0.05). Notably, FAM3A overexpression failed to promote ATP release, inhibit the expression of gluconeogenic and lipogenic genes, and suppress gluconeogenesis and lipid deposition in PANX1-deficient hepatocytes and livers. Conclusions: PANX1-mediated release of ATP plays a crucial role in maintaining hepatic glucolipid homeostasis, and it confers FAM3A's suppressive effects on hepatic gluconeogenesis and lipogenesis. Magnetic soft microrobots have a wide range of applications in targeted drug therapy, cell manipulation, and other aspects. Currently, the research on magnetic soft microrobots is still in the exploratory stage, and most of the research focuses on a single helical structure, which has limited space to perform drug-carrying tasks efficiently and cannot satisfy specific medical goals in terms of propulsion speed. Therefore, balancing the motion speed and drug-carrying performance is a current challenge to overcome. In this paper, a magnetically controlled cone-helix soft microrobot structure with a drug-carrying function is proposed, its helical propulsion mechanism is deduced, a dynamical model is constructed, and the microrobot structure is prepared using femtosecond laser two-photon polymerization three-dimensional printing technology for magnetic drive control experiments. The results show that under the premise of ensuring sufficient drug-carrying space, the microrobot structure proposed in this paper can realize helical propulsion quickly and stably, and the speed of motion increases with increases in the frequency of the rotating magnetic field. The microrobot with a larger cavity diameter and a larger helical pitch exhibits faster rotary advancement speed, while the microrobot with a smaller helical height and a smaller helical cone angle outperforms other structures with the same feature sizes. The microrobot with a cone angle of 0.2 rad, a helical pitch of 100 µm, a helical height of 220 µm, and a cavity diameter of 80 µm achieves a maximum longitudinal motion speed of 390 µm/s. Fibroblasts, among the most prevalent and widely distributed cell types in the human body, play a crucial role in defining tissue structure. They do this by depositing and remodeling extracellular matrixes and organizing functional tissue networks, which are essential for tissue homeostasis and various human diseases. Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a devastating syndrome with high mortality, characterized by remodeling of the pulmonary vasculature and significant cellular and structural changes within the intima, media, and adventitia layers. Most research on PH has focused on alterations in the intima (endothelial cells) and media (smooth muscle cells). However, research over the past decade has provided strong evidence of the critical role played by pulmonary artery adventitial fibroblasts in PH. These fibroblasts exhibit the earliest, most dramatic, and most sustained proliferative, apoptosis-resistant, and inflammatory responses to vascular stress. This review examines the aberrant phenotypes of PH fibroblasts and their role in the pathogenesis of PH, discusses potential molecular signaling pathways underlying these activated phenotypes, and highlights areas of research that merit further study to identify promising targets for the prevention and treatment of PH. Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) faces limitations in its photocatalytic applications due to its inherently wide bandgap (2.7 eV), low utilization of visible light, and a high rate of recombination of photogenerated electron–hole pairs. Defect engineering can effectively enhance the ability of g-C3N4 photocatalysts to address environmental pollution. In this paper, g-C3N4 materials with N defects (AA-CN15) were successfully prepared by using urea as a hydrogen bond donor and ammonium acetate as a hydrogen bond acceptor. The catalyst exhibits a broader range of visible light absorption, a lower rate of photogenerated electron–hole recombination, and a larger specific surface area, thanks to the formation of N defects in the N1 (C=N–C) vacancy. The formation of N defects reduces the band gap width of AA-CN15 from 2.85 eV to 1.90 eV compared to U-CN. The degradation rate of AA-CN15 in a 30 mg/L MB solution under visible light irradiation can reach 91.4% within 100 min, which is 7.2 times higher than that of U-CN. This study aimed to assess the influences of short-term straw return combined with nitrogen (N) fertilizer on crop yield, soil properties, the bacterial community, and soil nitrogen cycling gene abundance in a rice–rapeseed planting system. A two-year field experiment was conducted in a paddy field from 2019 to 2021. There were four treatments in the experiment: −N−S, no N applied with no straw return; −N+S, no N applied with straw return; +N−S, N applied with no straw return; and +N+S, N applied with straw return. The results showed that short-term straw return combined with N fertilizer could increase crop yield and N use efficiency. N fertilizer application had a positive effect on Gemmatimonadota and Desulfobacterota abundance. Straw returning had a positive effect on Desulfobacterota and Proteobacteria abundance. N fertilization significantly increased the abundance of amoA-AOA, amoA-AOB, and nxrB in agricultural soils. Straw return and N fertilization were not conducive to denitrification. We conclude that short-term straw return combined with N fertilizer in rice-growing areas not only increase crop yield and improve crop N uptake but also increase SOM, total N, and NH4+ and improve the soil microbial activity and N use efficiency. In order to develop optical films that can be applied to window films and high-brightness films, self-produced A masterbatch, B masterbatch and film-grade polyester were used to prepare biaxially oriented polyester (BOPET) films by extrusion casting machine and tensile test machine. The microstructure, roughness, optical properties, friction coefficient and mechanical properties of BOPET films were studied by polarizing microscope, line roughness meter, non-contact 3D surface profiler, transmission fog shadowgraph, gloss meter, friction coefficient meter and material tensile machine. The results show that the opening agent is a spherical structure, the size is in the submicron level, showing a monodisperse state. When the content of the opening agent (B masterbatch) is 0.012 5%, the roughness of the film surface Ra≤23 μm, Sa≤17 μm, haze, transmittance, clarity, gloss can reach 0.88%, 90.8%, 99.6% and 136 GU, respectively. The static friction coefficient/dynamic friction coefficient is 0.36/0.30. The anti-bonding effect is good and the mechanical properties are excellent. In this paper, the fixed-time and preassigned-time synchronization issues of fully quaternion-valued fuzzy memristive neural networks are studied based on the dynamic event-triggered control mechanism. Initially, the fuzzy rules are defined within the quaternion domain and the relevant properties are established through rigorous analysis. Subsequently, to conserve resources and enhance the efficiency of the controller, a kind of dynamic event-triggered control mechanism is introduced for the fuzzy memristive neural networks. Based on the non-separation analysis, fixed-time and preassigned-time synchronization criteria are presented and the Zeno phenomenon under the event-triggered mechanism is excluded successfully. The study of the mechanisms affecting the preparation parameters of carbonated steel slag is of great significance for the development of carbon sequestration materials. In order to elucidate the mechanism of the influence of moisture on CO2 diffusion and particle cementation in steel slag, the effects of different water–solid ratios and water contents on the mechanical properties, carbonation products, and pore structure of steel slag after carbonation were investigated. The results show that increasing the water–solid ratio of steel slag can control the larger initial porosity and improve the carbon sequestration capacity of steel slag, but it will reduce the mechanical properties. The carbonation process relies on pores for CO2 diffusion and also requires a certain level of moisture for Ca2+ dissolution and diffusion. Increasing the water content enhances particle cementation and carbonation capacity in steel slag specimens; however, excessive water hinders CO2 diffusion. Reducing the water content can increase the carbonation depth but may compromise gelling and carbon sequestration ability. Therefore, achieving a balance is crucial in controlling the water content. The compressive strength of the steel slag with suitable moisture and initial porosity can reach 118.7 MPa, and 217.2 kg CO2 eq./t steel slag can be sequestered. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The slug test has been commonly used to estimate aquifer parameters. Previous studies on the slug test mainly focused on a single‐layer aquifer. However, understanding the interaction between layers is particularly important when assessing aquifer parameters under certain circumstances. In this study, a new semi‐analytical model on transient flow in a three‐layered aquifer system with a partially penetrating well was developed for the slug test. The proposed model was solved using the Laplace transform method and the Goldstein‐Weber transform method, where the semi‐analytical solution for the model was obtained. The drawdowns of the proposed model were analyzed to understand the impacts of the different parameters on the drawdowns in a three‐layered aquifer system. The results indicated that groundwater interactions between the layers have a significant impact on the slug test. In addition, a shorter and deeper well screen as well as a greater permeability ratio between the layers creates a greater interface flow between them, leading to a higher drawdown in the slug test. Finally, a slug test in a three‐layered aquifer system was conducted in our laboratory to validate the new model, which indicated that the proposed model performed better in the interpretation of the experimental data than a previous model proposed by Hyder et al. (1994). We also proposed an empirical relationship to qualitatively identify the errors in the application of single‐layer model for the analysis of response data in a three‐layered aquifer system. A new pyrone derivative 11-hydroxypyrophen (1), together with pyrophen (2) and six naphtho-γ-pyrones (3–8), were obtained from the culture extract of Aspergillus niger Pas67. All isolated compounds were evaluated for their antibacterial activities against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Compounds 4 and 8 showed significant antibacterial activity against MRSA with minimum inhibitory concentration values (MICs) of 25 and 16 μg/mL, while compounds 1 and 2 did not display anti-MRSA activity. Breast cancer, the most prevalent malignancy in women, often progresses to bone metastases, especially in older individuals. Dormancy, a critical aspect of bone-metastasized breast cancer cells (BCCs), enables them to evade treatment and recur. This dormant state is regulated by bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSCs) through the secretion of various factors, including those associated with senescence. However, the specific mechanisms by which BMMSCs induce dormancy in BCCs remain unclear. To address this gap, a bone-specific senescence-accelerated murine model, SAMP6, was utilized to minimize confounding systemic age-related factors. Confirming senescence-accelerated osteoporosis, distinct BMMSC phenotypes were observed in SAMP6 mice compared to SAMR1 counterparts. Notably, SAMP6-BMMSCs exhibited premature senescence primarily due to telomerase activity loss and activation of the p21 signaling pathway. Furthermore, the effects of conditioned medium (CM) derived from SAMP6-BMMSCs versus SAMR1-BMMSCs on BCC proliferation were examined. Intriguingly, only CM from SAMP6-BMMSCs inhibited BCC proliferation by upregulating p21 expression in both MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells. These findings suggest that the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) of BMMSCs suppresses BCC viability by inducing p21, a pivotal cell cycle inhibitor and tumor suppressor. This highlights a heightened susceptibility of BCCs to dormancy in a senescent microenvironment, potentially contributing to the increased incidence of breast cancer bone metastasis and recurrence observed with aging. Van der Waals (vdW) assembly of low-dimensional materials has proven the capability of creating structures with on-demand properties. It is predicted that the vdW encapsulation can induce a local high-pressure of a few GPa, which will strongly modify the structure and property of trapped materials. Here, we report on the structural collapse of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) induced by the vdW encapsulation. By simply covering CNTs with a hexagonal boron nitride flake, most of the CNTs (≈77%) convert from a tubular structure to a collapsed flat structure. Regardless of their original diameters, all the collapsed CNTs exhibit a uniform height of ≈0.7 nm, which is roughly the thickness of bilayer graphene. Such structural collapse is further confirmed by Raman spectroscopy, which shows a prominent broadening and blue shift in the Raman G-peak. The vdW encapsulation-induced collapse of CNTs is fully captured by molecular dynamics simulations of the local vdW pressure. Further near-field optical characterization reveals a metal-semiconductor transition in accompany with the CNT structural collapse. Our study provides not only a convenient approach to generate local high-pressure for fundamental research, but also a collapsed-CNT semiconductor for nanoelectronic applications. vdW assembly of low-dimensional materials has proven the capability of creating structures with on-demand properties. Van der Waals encapsulation of two-dimensional materials in hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) stacks is a promising way to create ultrahigh-performance electronic devices1–4. However, contemporary approaches for achieving van der Waals encapsulation, which involve artificial layer stacking using mechanical transfer techniques, are difficult to control, prone to contamination and unscalable. Here we report the transfer-free direct growth of high-quality graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) in hBN stacks. The as-grown embedded GNRs exhibit highly desirable features being ultralong (up to 0.25 mm), ultranarrow (<5 nm) and homochiral with zigzag edges. Our atomistic simulations show that the mechanism underlying the embedded growth involves ultralow GNR friction when sliding between AA′-stacked hBN layers. Using the grown structures, we demonstrate the transfer-free fabrication of embedded GNR field-effect devices that exhibit excellent performance at room temperature with mobilities of up to 4,600 cm2 V–1 s–1 and on–off ratios of up to 106. Developing high-performance piezocatalysts has been regarded as an efficacious strategy to promote sustainable development of the environment and energy industry. However, reported piezocatalysts suffer from low conversion efficiency and the majority of them belong to inorganic material systems. Organic polymers have the advantage of easily-tailorable molecular structure, but receive little attention in the piezocatalytic field. In this work, we develop an efficient organic piezocatalyst polyimide (PI) with both structural and morphological superiority by molecular structure tailoring. The decrease of substituted amino groups in melem allows the transformation of the PI molecular structure from planar triangle to linear structure, and the construction of the linear PI using proportional pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) and melem shows a considerably increased dipole moment compared to that with a planar molecular structure, thus yielding a robust built-in electric field for promoting the charge separation and transfer. Besides, the nanorod-like morphology allows a stronger mechanical energy harvesting capability, benefiting the production of piezopotential. The polar PI nanorods exhibit a prominent piezocatalytic activity with a RhB degradation ratio of ∼92% within 30 min under ultrasonic irradiation, much faster than that of nanosheet-like PI piezocatalysts and previously reported state-of-the-art organic piezocatalysts. Background: Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are known environmental contaminants with immunosuppressive properties. Their connection to rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a condition influenced by the immune system, is not well studied. This research explores the association between PFAS exposure and RA prevalence. Methods: This research utilized data from the NHANES, encompassing a sample of 10,496 adults from the 2003–2018 cycles, focusing on serum levels of several PFAS. The presence of RA was determined based on self-reports. This study used multivariable logistic regression to assess the relationship between individual PFAS and RA risk, adjusting for covariates to calculate odds ratios (ORs). The combined effects of PFAS mixtures were evaluated using BKMR, WQS regression, and quantile g-computation. Additionally, sex-specific associations were explored through stratified analysis. Results: Higher serum PFOA (OR = 0.88, 95% CI: 0.79, 0.98), PFHxS (OR = 0.91, 95% CI: 0.83, 1.00), PFNA (OR = 0.87, 95% CI: 0.77, 0.98), and PFDA (OR = 0.89, 95% CI: 0.81, 0.99) concentration was related to lower odds of RA. Sex-specific analysis in single chemical models indicated the significant inverse associations were only evident in females. BKMR did not show an obvious pattern of RA estimates across PFAS mixture. The outcomes of sex-stratified quantile g-computation demonstrated that an increase in PFAS mixture was associated with a decreased odds of RA in females (OR: 0.76, 95% CI: 0.62, 0.92). We identified a significant interaction term of the WQS*sex in the 100 repeated hold out WQS analysis. Notably, a higher concentration of the PFAS mixture was significantly associated with reduced odds of RA in females (mean OR = 0.93, 95% CI: 0.88, 0.98). Conclusions: This study indicates potential sex-specific associations of exposure to various individual PFAS and their mixtures with RA. Notably, the observed inverse relationships were statistically significant in females but not in males. The introduction of additives with specific functional groups is an important approach to extend the operational lifetime of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Herein, the effect of the additives of benzoic acid (0F‐B), 4‐fluorobenzoic acid (1F‐B), and 2,3,4,5,6‐pentafluorobenzoic acid (5F‐B) on the performance and stability of MAPbI3‐based PSCs is systematically investigated. These additives can both chelate onto lead ions and form hydrogen bond with methyl ammonium ions. These combined interactions result in an increased activation energy for nucleation of perovskite crystals, thereby, increasing crystal size, reducing defect formation, improving electronic properties, as well as reducing ion migration. As a result, PSCs added with 5F‐B achieve the highest power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 20.50% with a narrow distribution compared to those PSC devices added with 1F‐B (19.25 %), 0F‐B (18.80 %), and pristine devices (18.53 %). Notably, 5F‐B‐added PSCs retain 80% of their initial PCE after ≈100‐day humidity test (at 25 °C and 50% relative humidity), 30‐day thermal stability test (at 85 °C in nitrogen environment), and 12‐day light illumination test (under continuous simulated solar radiation). The asymptotic synchronization of quaternion-valued delayed neural networks with impulses and inertia is studied in this article. Firstly, a convergence result on piecewise differentiable functions is developed, which is a generalization of the Barbalat lemma and provides a powerful tool for the convergence analysis of discontinuous systems. To achieve synchronization, a constant gain-based control scheme and an adaptive gain-based control strategy are directly proposed for response quaternion-valued models. In the convergence analysis, a direct analysis method is developed to discuss the synchronization without using the separation technique or reduced-order transformation. In particular, some Lyapunov functionals, composed of the state variables and their derivatives, are directly constructed and some synchronization criteria represented by matrix inequalities are obtained based on quaternion theory. Migration flocks have different forms, including single individuals, formations, and irregular clusters. The shape of a flock can change swiftly over time. The real-time clustering of multiple groups with different characteristics is crucial for the monitoring of dynamically changing migratory flocks. Traditional clustering algorithms need to set various prior parameters, including the number of groups, the number of nearest neighbors, or the minimum number of individuals. However, flocks may display complex group behaviors (splitting, combination, etc.), which complicate the choice and adjustment of the parameters. This paper uses a real-time clustering-based method that utilizes concepts from the algebraic graph theory. The connected graph is used to describe the spatial relationship between the targets. The similarity matrix is calculated, and the problem of group clustering is equivalent to the extraction of the partitioned matrices within. This method needs only one prior parameter (the similarity distance) and is adaptive to the group's splitting and combination. Two modifications are proposed to reduce the computation burden. First, the similarity distance can be broadened to reduce the exponent of the similarity matrix. Second, the omni-directional measurements are divided into multiple sectors to reduce the dimension of the similarity matrix. Catalytic materials are effective in promoting sulfur utilization in lithium‐sulfur batteries. Co phthalocyanine (CoPc) presents a unique planner single‐molecular structure with a highly active Co‐N4 center for sulfur reduction catalysis. The high flexibility of phthalocyanines offers rich opportunities for electronic structure modulation toward enhanced catalytic activities. To guide future design and screening, this study aims to understand the impact of peripheral substitution, the most common method to obtain CoPc derivatives, by examining two typical substituents: the electron‐withdrawing nitro and electron‐donating amino groups. Co tetranitrophthalocyanine (CoTnPc) presents a significantly higher activity in promoting the liquid‐solid transition process than Co tetraaminophthalocyanine (CoTaPc). Substitution alters the stable binding geometry of Li2S4 by influencing the electrostatic potential and Li─bond, making the Co─S bond energetically favorable with the bridging S atoms on CoTnPc. CoTnPc also enables a greater electron donation from the S 3pz orbital to the singly occupied Co 3dz2${d}_{{z}^2}$ orbital, significantly weakening the bridging S─S bond to enhance the reactivity of Li2S4 for the subsequent liquid‐solid transition. A framework of theoretical calculation is tested, providing descriptors for the screening of related materials. Currently, individual artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms face significant challenges in effectively diagnosing and predicting early stage emerging serious diseases. Our investigation indicates that these challenges primarily arise from insufficient clinical treatment data, leading to inadequate model training and substantial disparities among algorithm outcomes. Therefore, this study introduces an adaptive framework aimed at increasing prediction accuracy and mitigating instability by integrating various AI algorithms. In analyzing two cohorts of early cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Wuhan, China, we demonstrate the reliability and precision of the adaptive combined learning algorithm. Employing an adaptive combination with three feature importance methods (Random Forest (RF), Scalable end-to-end Tree Boosting System (XGBoost), and Sparsity Oriented Importance Learning (SOIL)) for two cohorts, we identified 23 clinical features with significant impacts on COVID-19 outcomes. Subsequently, the adaptive combined prediction leveraged and enhanced the advantages of individual methods based on three forecasting algorithms (RF, XGBoost, and Logistic regression). The average accuracy for both cohorts exceeded 0.95, with the area under the receiver operating characteristics curve (AUC) values of 0.983 and 0.988, respectively. We established a severity grading system for COVID-19 based on the combined probability of death. Compared to the original classification, there was a significant decrease in the number of patients in the severe and critical levels, while the levels of mild and moderate showed a substantial increase. This severity grading system provides a more rational grading in clinical treatment. Clinicians can utilize this system for effective and reliable preliminary assessments and examinations of patients with emerging diseases, enabling timely and targeted treatment. Polyethylene terephthalate-1,4-cyclohexane dimethyl ester (PETG) can be used as a preferred polymer material for 3D printing due to its excellent properties, which has been favored by scholars. In this paper, the printing process of PETG was studied, and it was found that the printing direction, printing thickness, printing temperature, printing speed and filling density, and other process parameters would have a significant impact on the performance of the product. The modification of 3D printed PETG material was studied by blending modification methods such as fiber, polymer, and graphene to improve the fatigue resistance, mechanical and thermal properties of the material. The application research of 3D printing PETG in biomedicine, machining and marine fields as well as the feasibility study of recycling were reviewed in detail. Objective: Osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) is a common orthopedic disease with a high disability rate. The clinical effect of BuShenHuoXue decoction (BSHX) for ONFH is satisfactory. We aimed to elucidate the potential angiogenic mechanisms of BSHX in a rat femoral osteonecrosis model and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs). Methods: With in vivo experiments, we established the steroid‐induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (SONFH) model using Sprague–Dawley (SD) rats (8‐week‐old). The rats were randomly divided into five group of 12 rats each and given the corresponding interventions: control, model (gavaged with 0.9% saline), BSHX low‐, medium‐ and high‐dose groups (0.132 3, 0.264 6, and 0.529 2 g/mL BSHX solution by gavage). After 12 weeks, haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining was preformed to evaluate rat osteonecrosis. the expression of angiogenic factors (CD31, VEGFA, KDR, VWF) in rat femoral head was detected by immunohistochemistry, qPCR and western blotting. In cell experiment, BMSCs were isolated and cultured in the femoral bone marrow cavity of 4‐week‐old SD rats. BMSCs were randomly divided into eight groups and intervened with different doses of BSHX‐containing serum and glucocorticoids: control group (CG); BSHX low‐, medium‐, and high‐dose groups (CG + 0.661 5, 1.323, and 2.646 g/kg BSHX gavage rat serum); dexamethasone (Dex) group; and Dex + BSHX low‐, medium‐, and high‐dose groups (Dex + 0.661 5, 1.323, and 2.646 g/kg BSHX gavaged rat serum), the effects of BSHX‐containing serum on the angiogenic capacity of BMSCs were examined by qPCR and Western blotting. A co‐culture system of rat aortic endothelial cells (RAOECs) and BMSCs was then established. Migration and angiogenesis of RAOECs were observed using angiogenesis and transwell assay. Identification of potential targets of BSHX against ONFH was obtained using network pharmacology. Results: BSHX upregulated the expression of CD31, VEGFA, KDR, and VWF in rat femoral head samples and BMSCs (p < 0.05, vs. control group or model group). Different concentrations of BSHX‐containing serum significantly ameliorated the inhibition of CD31, VEGFA, KDR and VWF expression by high concentrations of Dex. BSHX‐containing serum‐induced BMSCs promoted the migration and angiogenesis of RAOECs, reversed to some extent the adverse effect of Dex on microangiogenesis in RAOECs, and increased the number of microangiogenic vessels. Furthermore, we identified VEGFA, COL1A1, COL3A1, and SPP1 as important targets of BSHX against ONFH. Conclusion: BSHX upregulated the expression of angiogenic factors in the femoral head tissue of ONFH model rats and promoted the angiogenic capacity of rat RAOECs and BMSCs. Transient receptor potential vanilloid 4 (TRPV4) is a widely expressed cation channel that plays an important role in many physiological and pathological processes. However, most TRPV4 drugs carry a risk of side effects. Moreover, existing screening methods are not suitable for the high-throughput screening (HTS) of drugs. In this study, a cell model and HTS method for targeting TRPV4 channel drugs were established based on a calcium-activated chloride channel protein 1 Anoctamin 1 (ANO1) and a double mutant (YFP-H148Q/I152L) of the yellow fluorescent protein (YFP). Patch-clamp experiments and fluorescence quenching kinetic experiments were used to verify that the model could sensitively detect changes in intracellular Ca2+ concentration. The functionality of the TRPV4 cell model was examined through temperature variations and different concentrations of TRPV4 modulators, and the performance of the model in HTS was also evaluated. The model was able to sensitively detect changes in the intracellular Ca2+ concentration and also excelled at screening TRPV4 drugs, and the model was more suitable for HTS. Background: Cockayne syndrome is an inherited heterogeneous defect in transcription-coupled DNA repair (TCR) cause severe clinical syndromes, which may affect the nervous system development of infants and even lead to premature death in some cases. ERCC8 diverse critical roles in the nucleotide excision repair (NER) complex, which is one of the disease-causing genes of Cockayne syndrome. Methods and results: The mutation of ERCC8 in the patient was identified and validated using WES and Sanger sequencing. Specifically, a compound heterozygous mutation (c.454_460dupGTCTCCA p. T154Sfs*13 and c.755_759delGTTTT p.C252Yfs*3) of ERCC8 (CSA) was found, which could potentially be the genetic cause of Cockayne syndrome in the proband. Conclusion: In this study, we identified a novel heterozygous mutation of ERCC8 in a Chinese family with Cockayne syndrome, which enlarging the genetic spectrum of the disease. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a widely available and environmentally friendly phase change material known for its high energy storage capacity. However, its application in various industries is limited due to slow heat absorption and release, poor mechanical properties, and inadequate weather resistance. PEG was blended with waterborne epoxy resin (WER) to improve its mechanical properties and weather resistance. Furthermore, graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) and boron nitride (BN) were incorporated into the WER/PEG resin substrate to prepare WER/PEG/BN@GNP coatings, resulting in enhanced thermal conductivity. When the GNP content was 0.5 wt%, the WER/PEG/BN@GNP coatings performed excellent anti‐corrosion. Otherwise, the leakage of PEG under heat‐cool cycling was addressed by the preparation of WER/PEG/BN@GNP coatings, as well as the low rates of heat absorption and release. In this work, the preparation method successfully combines the phase‐change characteristics of PEG, the outstanding mechanical properties of WER, and the high thermal conductivity of BN and GNP. The WER/PEG/BN@GNP coatings present significant potential for practical applications. Vascular remodeling is the process of structural alteration and cell rearrangement of blood vessels in response to injury and is the cause of many of the world's most afflicted cardiovascular conditions, including pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Many studies have focused on the effects of vascular endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells (SMCs) during vascular remodeling, but pericytes, an indispensable cell population residing largely in capillaries, are ignored in this maladaptive process. Here, we report that hypoxia-inducible factor 2α (HIF2α) expression is increased in the lung tissues of PAH patients, and HIF2α overexpressed pericytes result in greater contractility and an impaired endothelial-pericyte interaction. Using single-cell RNAseq and hypoxia-induced pulmonary hypertension (PH) models, we show that HIF2α is a major molecular regulator for the transformation of pericytes into SMC-like cells. Pericyte-selective HIF2α overexpression in mice exacerbates PH and right ventricular hypertrophy. Temporal cellular lineage tracing shows that HIF2α overexpressing reporter NG2+ cells (pericyte-selective) relocate from capillaries to arterioles and co-express SMA. This novel insight into the crucial role of NG2+ pericytes in pulmonary vascular remodeling via HIF2α signaling suggests a potential drug target for PH. Synopsis: HIF2α signaling plays an important role in the transition of pericytes into smooth muscle cell-like cells in pulmonary hypertension. Conductive hydrogels, characterized by their excellent conductivity and flexibility, have attracted widespread attention and research in the field of flexible wearable sensors. This paper reviews the application progress, related challenges, and future prospects of conductive hydrogels in flexible wearable sensors. Initially, the basic properties and classifications of conductive hydrogels are introduced. Subsequently, this paper discusses in detail the specific applications of conductive hydrogels in different sensor applications, such as motion detection, medical diagnostics, electronic skin, and human–computer interactions. Finally, the application prospects and challenges are summarized. Overall, the exceptional performance and multifunctionality of conductive hydrogels make them one of the most important materials for future wearable technologies. In this article, a robust index named first-order network coherence (FONC) for the multi-agent systems (MASs) with layered lattice-like structure is studied via the angle of the graph spectra theory. The union operation of graphs is utilized to construct two pairs of non-isomorphic layered lattice-like structures, and the expression of the index is acquired by the approach of Laplacian spectra, then the corresponding asymptotic results are obtained. It is found that when the cardinality of the node sets of coronary substructures with better connectedness tends to infinity, the FONC of the whole network will have the same asymptotic behavior with the central lattice-like structure in the considered classic graph frameworks. The estimation of the target number and individual tracks are two major tasks in multi-target tracking. The main shortcoming of traditional tracking methods is the cumbersome data association between measurements and targets. The cardinalized probability hypothesis density filter (CPHD) proposed in recent years can achieve the requirement for multitarget tracking. This kind of filter jointly estimates the cardinality distribution and the posterior density, which can achieve a more stable estimate of the target number. However, targets with complex micro-Doppler signatures (drones, birds, etc.) may generate target-dependent false alarms, which is contrary to the traditional uniform distribution assumption. In this case, the estimates of traditional CPHD filter will suffer from the abnormal transfer of PHD mass, causing the degradation of filtering performance. This paper studies the individual tracking of group targets with an improved GM-CPHD filter. First, the target-dependent false alarms are modeled with a general independent and identically distributed (I.I.D.) cluster process. Second, the update equations of cardinality and PHD density in target-dependent false alarms are derived. Finally, a practical solution using the Gaussian mixture method is proposed. Degradation tests are used when there is a quality characteristic related to the life of a product. In this paper, we investigate the model mis-specification effect on the estimation precision of product's mean time to failure (MTTF) and consider a degradation test design problem. The Wiener and inverse Gaussian (IG) processes are two possible models considered. We derive expressions for the mean and variance of the estimated product's MTTF when the true model is an IG process, but is wrongly fitted by a Wiener process. We further discuss the experimental design problem and derive the explicit functional form of the estimation variances. Using the derived functions, optimal degradation test plans assuming a Wiener process model is correctly or wrongly specified are both proposed. The derived plans are applied to a laser data example. We evaluate the test efficiency of the plans derived from a Wiener process assumption when the model is mis-specified. For many optimization criteria, we observe that the obtained plans are robust even when the fitted model is mis-specified. For some criteria that may result in very different test plans under different models, we use a weighted ratio criterion to find practically useful degradation plans under model uncertainty. Halide perovskites have high photoelectric conversion efficiency, making them promising candidates for photocatalysis. However, their toxic and unstable nature limits their applications. Here, we successfully synthesised three hybrid Bi-based halide perovskites: (HTMG)3Bi2Br9 (1), (HEI)2BiBr5 (2) and (HTMA)3Bi2Br9 (3). X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis shows that they all contained 0D structures composed of isolated Bi–Br clusters. The three compounds showed excellent degradability and cycling stability for Sudan III dissolved in ethanol under simulated sunlight. The explosive welding tests were carried out under atmospheric pressured00kPa), 60kPa, and 20kPa ambient pressures, respectively. The morphology and elemental composition of the composite interface were studied by means of metallographic analysis. The mechanism of negative pressure explosive welding was further revealed by numerical simulation. The results show that the charge density of powder emulsion explosive is increased under negative pressure conditions. The detonation velocity of powder emulsion explosive is not changed, and the brisance of powder emulsion explosive under 20kPa is 8.4% higher than that under ambient pressure condition. With decrease of ambient pressure, the interface wave height and wavelength of the composite plate gradually increases. At 20kPa, the wave height and wavelength increase by 49% and 23%, respectively. The oxygen element of T2/Q235 bonding surface under negative pressure is lower than that under ambient pressure. The numerical simulation results show that the T2/Q235 interface wave increases with the increase of explosive density, which is consistent with the experimental results. In the explosion welding process, the impact velocity and pressure of explosives increase by 16.3% and 66. 3% respectively, when the charge density of explosive was 0. 8g/cm³ under negative pressure (20kPa) as compared to 0.711 g/cm³ under normal pressure. Aims: Nearly 85% of maternally inherited diabetes and deafness (MIDD) are caused by the m.3243A>G mutation in the mitochondrial DNA. However, the clinical phenotypes of MIDD may also be influenced by the nuclear genome, this study aimed to investigate nuclear genome variants that influence clinical phenotypes associated with m.3243A>G mutation in MIDD based on whole‐genome sequencing of the patients belonging to pedigrees. Materials and Methods: We analyzed a whole‐genome sequencing (WGS) dataset from blood samples of 38 MIDD patients with the m.3243A > G mutation belonging to 10 pedigrees, by developing a Kinship‐graph convolutional network approach, called Ki‐GCN, integrated with the conventional genome‐wide association study (GWAS) methods. Results: We identified eight protective alleles in the nuclear genome that have protective effects against the onset of MIDD, related deafness, and also type 2 diabetes. Based on these eight protective alleles, we constructed an effective logistic regression model to predict the early or late onset of MIDD patients. Conclusions: There are protective alleles in the nuclear genome that are associated with the onset‐age of MIDD patients and might also provide protective effects on the deafness derived from MIDD patients. Background: Cockayne syndrome is an inherited heterogeneous defect in transcription-coupled DNA repair (TCR) cause severe clinical syndromes, which may affect the nervous system development of infants and even lead to premature death in some cases. ERCC8 diverse critical roles in the nucleotide excision repair (NER) complex, which is one of the disease-causing genes of Cockayne syndrome. Methods and results: The mutation of ERCC8 in the patient was identified and validated using WES and Sanger sequencing. Specifically, a compound heterozygous mutation (c.454_460dupGTCTCCA p. T154Sfs*13 and c.755_759delGTTTT p.C252Yfs*3) of ERCC8 (CSA) was found, which could potentially be the genetic cause of Cockayne syndrome in the proband. Conclusion: In this study, we identified a novel heterozygous mutation of ERCC8 in a Chinese family with Cockayne syndrome, which enlarging the genetic spectrum of the disease. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
