Earlier research on the ways in which enterprise social media (ESM) usage contributes to employee resilience is rather limited. Using boundary spanning theory, this paper proposes a research model for investigating how enterprise social media usage contributes to employee resilience. Using Smart PLS 4.0 to analyze the survey data from 370 employees, this study found that, first, when enterprise social media is used for work and social purposes, it has a positive effect on employee boundary spanning, while the effect of social-related ESM usage on employee boundary spanning is larger than work-related ESM usage. Second, employee boundary spanning has the greatest effect on the behavioural dimension of employee-level resilience, followed by the cognitive dimension of employee-level resilience and the contextual dimension. Third, employees' boundary spanning acts as a partial mediator between enterprise social media and employees' different levels of resilience. Finally, it is interesting to find that individual adaptability can weaken the relationship between work-related ESM usage and employee boundary spanning, while individual adaptability can strengthen the relationship between social-related ESM usage and employee boundary spanning. As an emerging collaboration platform based on web 2.0 technologies, enterprise social media can provide opportunities and challenges for information acquisition and creativity development. However, existing research on the ways in which enterprise social media use affects employee creativity from both internal and external team perspectives is rather limited. Using communication visibility theory (CVR), this paper proposes a research model for investigating the relationship between enterprise social media (ESM) usage and employee creativity. Drawing on an analysis of 218 employees' data, this study found that ESM, when used for both work and social purposes, has a positive effect on internal information exchange within teams and external knowledge acquisition across teams, which further contributes to employee creativity. Innovative culture can weaken the relationship between work-related ESM usage and internal team information exchange, and strengthen the relationship between social-related ESM usage and internal team information exchange. An increasing number of employees are using social media for their daily work. But the relationship between social media use and job performance is controversial. To address this issue, this study explores the impact of different social media platform usage on job performance based on different usage purposes. The media synchronicity theory provides the theoretical foundation. Surveys were conducted in an Internet commerce company in China, generating 301 valid responses for analysis. The results showed that both work-related and social-related use of enterprise social media had a U-shape effect on job performance. Also, work-related use of general social media had a U-shape effect on job performance, whereas social-related use of general social media had no effect on job performance. Waveguide imaging is considered as one of the most important and widely used techniques in biomedical endoscopic applications. Recently, many attempts have been made to develop ever miniaturised in vivo imaging devices for minimally invasive clinical inspections. However, miniaturisation implies using a smaller optical aperture waveguide, which may introduce pixilation artefacts and pixel‐to‐pixel distortion to deteriorate overall imaging quality. To overcome the constraints imposed by miniaturised waveguides, the deep learning algorithms can be an effective tool to cure the imaging distortion via post‐processing, which already had encouraging results in many scenes of automatic machine‐learnt imaging restoration. The authors introduce the waveguide imaging transmission and the restoration algorithms, and then discuss their possible combinations. The results show that the integration of advanced waveguides and optimised algorithms can achieve unprecedented imaging restoration than before. In the future, in order to fill the need for high‐quality reconstructed images, we should not only improve ability of software to optimise restoration algorithms but also correspondingly concern hardware progress in waveguides. One of the most challenging issues confronting shared bicycle managers is how to improve users' intentions for continued use. This paper presents a research model to investigate how perceived price fairness and service quality influence shared bicycle users' intentions for continued use. Using structural equation modelling analysis of 760 shared bicycle users' data in China, the results showed that: (1) Users' perception of the fairness of shared bicycle prices has the greatest impact on users' perception of green value, followed by users' perception of functional value and users' perception of hedonic value. (2) The service quality of bicycle-sharing operators has the greatest impact on users' perception of social value, followed by users' perception of hedonic value and users' perception of green value. (3) Users' perception of green value has the greatest impact on users' intentions for continued use of a shared bicycle, followed by users' hedonic value perception, users' functional value perception, and users' social value perception. (4) There are significant differences between high price-sensitivity users and low price-sensitivity users in the process of forming intentions for the continued use of shared bicycles. The interaction between Lymphocyte function-associated antigen 1 (LFA-1) and intercellular-adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) plays important roles in the cell-mediated immune response and inflammation associated with dry eye disease. LFA-1/ICAM-1 antagonists can be used for the treatment of dry eye disease, such as Lifitegrast which has been approved by the FDA in 2016 as a new drug for the treatment of dry eye disease. In this study, we designed and synthesized some new structure compounds that are analogues to Lifitegrast, and their biological activities were evaluated by in vitro cell-based assay and also by in vivo mouse dry eye model. Our results demonstrated that one of these analogues of Lifitegrast (compound 1b) showed good LFA-1/ICAM-1 antagonist activity in in vitro assay; meanwhile, it also significantly reduced ocular surface epithelial cells damage, increased goblet cell density in dry eye mouse and highly improved the symptoms of dry eye mouse. The present study aims to investigate the genetic stability of the plasmid expressing chicken interleukin-2 (ChIL-2) and chicken interleukin-4 (ChIL-4) fusion genes carried by the DH5α/pUC57 recombinant strain during the large-scale production process, and to explore its potential as an immune adjuvant for live chicken coccidiosis vaccine in commercial batch production. The laboratory genetic stability identification of the recombinant DH5α/pUC57 was carried out by subculturing the recombinant plasmid for 30 consecutive generations. The results showed that after the recombinant strain being cultured for 30 consecutive generations on the lysic broth (LB) plates containing ampicillin (Amp+), the recombinant bacterias remained Gram-negative (G-), and could ferment glucose and mannitol to result in specific phenomena, whereas none fermented lactose was found. The homology of the 16S rDNA fragments between the recombinant bacteria and E. coli was greater than 95%, the supercoil ratio of the recombinant plasmids of each generation was greater than 90%, and the plasmid loss rate was 0. The expression product of the recombinant plasmid could stimulate the differentiation of spleen lymphocytes of SPF chicks. The above results indicate that there were essentially no changes in the structure of the 30 generations of continuous passages for the ChIL-2-ChIL-4 fusion gene recombinant bacteria and recombinant plasmids, and the plasmids can be isolated stably, which can provide material support for the expansion of production. The exploration of unconventional and/or new energy resources has become the focus of energy research worldwide, given the shortage of fossil fuels. As a potential energy resource, gas hydrate exists only in the environment of high pressure and low temperature, mainly distributing in the sediments of the seafloor in the continental margins and the permafrost zones in land. The accurate determination of the thickness of gas hydrate stability zone is essential yet challenging in the assessment of the exploitation potential. The majority of previous studies obtain this thickness by detecting the bottom simulating reflectors (BSRs) layer on the seismic profiles. The phase equilibrium between gas hydrate stable state with its temperature and pressure provides an opportunity to derive the thickness with the geothermal method. Based on the latest geothermal dataset, we calculated the thickness of the gas hydrate stability zone (GHSZ) in the north continental margin of the South China Sea. Our results indicate that the thicknesses of gas hydrate stability zone vary greatly in different areas of the northern margin of the South China Sea. The thickness mainly concentrates on 200-300 m and distributes in the southwestern and eastern areas with belt-like shape. We further confirmed a certain relationship between the GHSZ thickness and factors such as heat flow and water depth. The thickness of gas hydrate stability zone is found to be large where the heat flow is relatively low. The GHSZ thickness increases with the increase of the water depth, but it tends to stay steady when the water depth deeper than 3 000 m. In this study, core-shell Fe0@polyaniline (PANI) nanoparticles were synthesized to remove Rhodamine B (RhB) in aqueous solution. The Fe0/PANI composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectra, and transmission electron microscopy. The performances of Fe0/PANI on the activation of molecular oxygen for the removal of RhB were investigated, and the effects of operating parameters, such as Fe0/PANI dosage, RhB initial concentration, and pH value on RhB removal were also discussed. The results indicated that the Fe0@PANI/O2process exhibited significantly higher reactivity than did the Fe0/O2process for the degradation of RhB. The oxidative degradation of RhB was further promoted by the presence of anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid sodium salt working as an electron shuttle. In addition, the reaction mechanism was discussed by measuring the concentrations of Fe(II), and total Fe formed in the system and examining scavenging effect by tert-butyl alcohol and copper chloride. The redox mediating function of PANI was also revealed by the UV–vis spectra. The stability of Fe0@PANI showed that it is a potential nanomaterial for the environmental remediation. In this study, the PANI-supported nanoscale zero-valent iron (PANI/nZVI) composites have been successfully synthesized to remove Rhodamine B (RhB) from aqueous solutions using a heterogeneous Fenton-like system. The synthetic PANI/nZVI composites were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscope (TEM) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). The results showed that they were lamellar structures and nZVI nanoparticles were introduced into their structures. The performances of PANI/nZVI composites on the activation of molecular oxygen for removal of RhB were investigated and the effects of operating parameters, such as PANI/nZVI dosage, PANI and nZVI mass ratio, RhB initial concentration, and pH value on RhB removal were also discussed. The results indicate that PANI/nZVI was proved to be the most efficient in that more than 83.31% of RhB was removed, whereas only 11.15% when using nZVI after reacting for 120 min with an initial RhB concentration of 0.02 mmol L−1 (pH = 6.50). Furthermore, the reaction mechanism was discussed by measuring the concentrations of Fe(II), total Fe and H2O2 formed in the system and examining scavenging effects using copper chloride and methanol. Increasing attention has been paid to pyrite due to its ability to generate hydroxyl radicals in air-saturated solutions. In this study, the mineral pyrite was studied as a catalyst to activate molecular oxygen to degrade Acid Orange 7 (AO7) in aqueous solution. A complete set of control experiments were conducted to optimize the reaction conditions, including the dosage of pyrite, the AO7 concentration, as well as the initial pH value. The role of reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated by pyrite in the process was elucidated by free radical quenching reactions. Furthermore, the concentrations of Fe(II) and total Fe formed were also measured. The mechanism for the production of ROS in the pyrite/HO/O system was that HO was formed by hydrogen ion and superoxide anion (O) which was produced by the reaction of pyrite activating O and then reacted with Fe(II) dissolved from pyrite to produce OH through Fenton reaction. The findings suggest that pyrite/HO/O system is potentially practical in pollution treatment. Moreover, the results provide a new insight into the understanding of the mechanism for degradation of organic pollutants by pyrite. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
