During 2018-2020, we isolated 32 Eurasian avian-like swine influenza A(H1N1) viruses and their reassortant viruses from pigs in China. Genomic testing identified a novel reassortant H3N1 virus, which emerged in late 2020. Derived from G4 Eurasian H1N1 and H3N2 swine influenza viruses. This virus poses a risk for zoonotic infection. Fused corundum is a rather promising raw material for preparing an alumina-based ceramic core due to its excellent high temperature resistance and chemical inertness. In this study, alumina-based ceramic cores were prepared using fused corundum as the matrix material, and the effect of varying silica powder contents on the properties of the alumina-based ceramic cores, including the sintering shrinkage, the flexural strength, and the high temperature deformation was investigated. The mineralization mechanisms of the silica on the alumina-based ceramic core were also analyzed. The optimum addition amount of silica in this experiment is 8% in weight. At that moment, the aluminum-based core has both a low sintering shrinkage coefficient of 0.66% and better properties: the room temperature flexural strength is 22.19 MPa, the high temperature flexural strength is 21.54 MPa, the high temperature deformation is 0.93 mm, and the residual flexural strength is 47.41 MPa. Based on STL (stereo lithography) format file and with Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 programming language, a 3D printing slicing software appropriate for the surface strengthening of the parts has been developed, which includes three functions: 3D model import, model slicing and data export. Through the grouping of STL model triangle facets before slicing, the judgment times of the relationship between the triangle facets and the cutting planes are reduced, and the slicing efficiency is improved. Aiming at the fact that the surface should be strengthened when the part is formed by using of 3D printing process, the function of identifying and marking the surface of the geometric entity is accomplished in the slicing software, which can strengthen the surface of the part according to the user's requirements. The developed slicing software can provide an entity slicing file for 3D printing equipment. The present study investigated the role of abnormally expressed mRNA and long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) in the development of colorectal cancer (CRC). We used lncRNA sequencing to analyze the transcriptome (mRNA and lncRNA) of five pairs of CRC tissues and adjacent normal tissues. The total expression of mRNAs and lncRNAs in each sample was determined using the R package and the gene expression was calculated using normalized FPKM. The structural features and expression of all detected lncRNAs were compared with those of mRNAs. Differentially expressed mRNAs were selected to perform Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses. The functional analysis of differentially expressed lncRNAs was performed by analyzing the GO and KEGG enrichment of predicted cis-regulated target genes. A total of 18.2 × 108 reads were obtained by sequencing, in which the clean reads reached ≥ 94.67%, with a total of 245.2 G bases. The number of mRNAs and lncRNAs differentially expressed in CRC tissues and normal tissues were 113 and 6, respectively. Further predictive analysis of target genes of lncRNAs revealed that six lncRNA genes had potential cis-regulatory effects on 13 differentially expressed mRNA genes and co-expressed with 53 mRNAs. Up-regulated CTD-2256P15.4 and RP11-229P13.23 were the most important lncRNAs in these CRC tissues and involved in cell proliferation and pathway in cancer. In conclusion, our study provides evidence regarding the mRNA and lncRNA transcription in CRC tissues, as well as new insights into the lncRNAs and mRNAs involved in the development of CRC. Background: Intracorporeal Roux-en-Y esophagojejunostomy during laparoscopic total gastrectomy for gastric cancer remains a challenging manipulation due to the uncontrolled direction of the jejunal side or unintended embedded tissues, although several methods have been introduced. In this study, we simplified the procedure based on a surgical string fixing technique using a transorally inserted anvil (OrVil™; Covidien Ltd., Mansfield, MA, USA). Methods: From March 2012 to September 2013, 14 consecutive patients underwent simplified intracorporeal Roux-en-Y esophagojejunostomy using OrVil™ during laparoscopic total gastrectomy for gastric cancer at our hospital. Clinicopathologic characteristics and surgical outcomes of these patients were retrospectively analyzed. Results: All of the procedures were successful completed with no complication or conversion to open surgery. Themean overall operative time was 193.8 ± 41.8 min, whereas the mean reconstruction time was 32.6 ± 4.6 min. The mean estimated blood loss was 105.7 ± 65.4 ml. The mean diameter of anastomosis measured by upper gastrointestinal contrast X-ray test at 1 month after operation was 2.3 cm. During a median follow-up period of 12 months, neither local recurrence nor anastomosis-related morbidity was observed. Conclusions: Our preliminary results suggested that this automatically contamination-avoiding technique based on a surgical-string-fixing strategy using OrVil™ during laparoscopic total gastrectomy for gastric cancer might be feasible and safe and provide a simple solution for intracorporeal Roux-en-Y esophagojejunostomy. For practical application, the functional piezoelectric film in microelectromechanical systems should meet the requirement of physical properties, as well as the mechanical properties. In this article, 0.5 Ba( Ti0.8 Zr0.2) O3-0.5( Ba0.7 Ca0.3) TiO3 (0.5 BZT-0.5 BCT) thin films with varied properties were prepared on (100) Si substrates via a sol-gel technique at different annealing temperatures. The effects of the annealing temperature on the morphology, piezoelectricity, hardness, and elastic modulus were studied. Particular attention was paid to the surface frictional behavior of films, and the changes in the friction force can be radically explained in terms of differences in the hardness/elastic modulus ratio and the residual stress of films. And, it reveals that the higher ratio of hardness to elastic modulus and tensile residual stress can contribute to a lower friction force for 0.5 BZT-0.5 BCT film during sling friction. Background: Vaccination is considered as the most effective preventive method to control influenza. The hallmark of influenza virus is the remarkable variability of its major surface glycoproteins, HA and NA, which allows the virus to evade existing anti-influenza immunity in the target population. So it is necessary to develop a novel vaccine to control animal influenza virus. Also we know that the ectodomain of influenza matrix protein 2 (M2e) is highly conserved in animal influenza A viruses, so a vaccine based on the M2e could avoid several drawbacks of the traditional vaccines. In this study we designed a novel tetra-branched multiple antigenic peptide (MAP) based vaccine, which was constructed by fusing four copies of M2e to one copy of foreign T helper (Th) cell epitope, and then investigated its immune responses. Results: Our results show that the M2e-MAP induced strong M2e-specific IgG antibody,which responses following 2 doses immunization in the presence of Freunds' adjuvant. M2e-MAP vaccination limited viral replication substantially. Also it could attenuate histopathological damage in the lungs of challenged mice and counteracted weight loss. M2e-MAP-based vaccine protected immunized mice against the lethal challenge with PR8 virus. Conclusions: Based on these findings, M2e-MAP-based vaccine seemed to provide useful information for the research of M2e-based influenza vaccine. Purpose of work: The non-structural protein 4 (Nsp4) of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) functions as a 3C-like proteinase (3CLpro) and plays a pivotal role in gene expression and replication. We have examined the biochemical properties of PRRSV 3CLpro and identified those amino acid residues involved in its catalytic activity as a prelude to developing anti-PRRSV strategies. The 3C-like proteinase (3CLpro) of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) was expressed in Escherichia coli and characterized. The optimal temperature and pH for its proteolytic activity were 8°C and 7.5, respectively. Na (1000 mM) and K (500 mM) were not inhibitory to its activity but Cu, Zn, PMSF and EDTA were significantly inhibitory. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Shugan Yiyang Capsule (SGYY) in treating psychogenic and mild arteriogenic erectile dysfunction (ED) of Gan stagnation and Shen deficiency Syndrome type with or without blood stasis. Methods: A multi-centered, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial in 304 patients was conducted by dividing them into 3 groups, who received respectively SGYY ( n = 102), placebo ( n = 101) and Suoyang Bushen capsule (SYBS, n = 101), 1. Og taken three times a day for 4 weeks. Besides, 205 patients were arranged in an open-label study and treated with SGYY l.0 g taken three times a day for 4 weeks. The total effective rate, total remarkably effective rate, erection recovery rate tested by penis hardness test ring, time taken for improving erection among groups, as well as therapeutic effect between psychogenic ED group and mild arteriogenic ED group were compared. Adverse reactions related to SGYY were recorded. And a 3-month follow-up study was conducted on 105 cured patients. Results: The trial was completed in 500 patients. The total effective rate and total remarkably effective rate in the SGYY treated double-blinded group were 88.0% and 64.0% respectively, and those in the open-label group 90.5% and 65.0%, respectively, all significantly higher than those in the placebo (21.0%, 6.0%) and SYBS groups (60.0%, 29.0%), P<0.01. At the same time, the erection recovery rate and improving time in SGYY group were significantly better than those in other groups ( P<0.01). No adverse reactions related to SGYY were found. The successful rate of potency to have intercourse within 3 months was over 80% (100 patients out of the 105 cured patients). Conclusion: SGYY was an effective and safe treatment for patients with psychogenic and mild arteriogenic ED of Gan stagnation and Shen deficiency Syndrome type with or without blood stasis, especially for psychogenic ED patients.
