The authors of this paper present the initial outcome of using a SPARC Grant to train inter-professionals to implement a curriculum used in the provision of a co-facilitative poetry therapy group. Drawing upon best practices of poetry therapy, this innovative approach involved a professional poet and a therapist and contributes to the field because it is transferable among a variety of client populations. The authors of this paper review the efficacy of poetry therapy and introduce a curriculum to be used in the provision of a co-facilitative poetry therapy group process which involves a professional poet and a therapist.
