Ripretinib, a broad‐spectrum inhibitor of the KIT and PDGFRA receptor tyrosine kinases, is designated as a fourth‐line treatment for gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). It is tailored for patients resistant to imatinib, sunitinib, and regorafenib. As its increasing use, instances of resistance to ripretinib are becoming more frequent. Unfortunately, there are currently no scientifically mature treatment options available for patients resistant to ripretinib. Posttranslational modifications (PTMs) such as ubiquitination, in conjunction with its interplay with other modifications, play a collective role in regulating tumor initiation and progression. However, the specific association between ubiquitination and ripretinib resistance is not reported. Through proteome–ubiquitinome sequencing, increased levels of the USP5 protein and decreased ubiquitination in ripretinib‐resistant GISTs are detected. Subsequent examination of the mass spectrometry findings validated the interaction through which TRIM21 governs USP5 expression via ubiquitination, and USP5 regulates MDH2 expression through deubiquitination, consequently fostering ripretinib resistance in GIST. Moreover, ZDHHC18 can palmitoylate MDH2, preventing its ubiquitination and further increasing its protein stability. The research underscores the correlation between posttranslational modifications, specifically ubiquitination, and drug resistance, emphasizing the potential of targeting the USP5‐MDH2 axis to counteract ripretinib resistance in GIST. To maintain a reasonable sediment regulation system in the Loess Plateau, it is critical to determine the effects of check dam construction on sediment production and topographic changes. An indoor simulation experiment was conducted to investigate sediment production at the outlet section of the gully and micro‐topographic changes within the channel before and after dam construction. The results showed that check dam significantly affected the run‐off and sediment transport processes in the watershed. Specifically, the cross‐sectional morphology index (η) and the width‐depth ratio increased by 10.23% and 40.44%, respectively, while sediment content and particle size decreased by 39.29% and 18.58%, respectively. Additionally, the relative importance of section parameters and micro‐topographic parameters that affect sediment production rate and particle size was ranked using the random forest algorithm. The roughness after check dam construction was identified as a relatively important topographic factor affecting sediment production and particle selection by erosion. A logistics network structure plays a significant role in enhancing comprehensive logistics services and achieving high-quality development. However, few studies have summarised the application research on China's logistics network structure. Thus, this study conducted a literature review to summarise such research. Data from 2009 to 2021 were collected from 60 papers from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and 13 from Scopus. This study analyzed the literature using descriptive analysis and research states based on the research questions. The descriptive analysis revealed information such as documents, trends, subject areas, and keywords for Chinese and foreign papers using VOSviewer and Gephi software. The research flow revealed the research object, method, and results using ArcGIS visualisation, research features, and perspectives. Background: Premature ovarian failure (POF) caused by cisplatin is a severe and intractable sequela for young women with cancer who received chemotherapy. Cisplatin causes the dysfunction of granulosa cells and mainly leads to but is not limited to its apoptosis and autophagy. Ferroptosis has been also reported to participate, while little is known about it. Our previous experiment has demonstrated that endometrial stem cells (EnSCs) can repair cisplatin-injured granulosa cells. However, it is still unclear whether EnSCs can play a repair role by acting on ferroptosis. Methods: Western blotting and quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) were applied to detect the expression levels of ferroptosis-related genes. CCK-8 and 5-Ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine (EdU) assays were used to evaluate cell viability. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was performed to detect ferroptosis in morphology. And the extent of ferroptosis was assessed by ROS, GPx, GSSG and MDA indicators. In vivo, ovarian morphology was presented by HE staining and the protein expression in ovarian tissue was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results: Our results showed that ferroptosis could occur in cisplatin-injured granulosa cells. Ferroptosis inhibitor ferrostatin-1 (Fer-1) and EnSCs partly restored cell viability and mitigated the damage of cisplatin to granulosa cells by inhibiting ferroptosis. Moreover, the repair potential of EnSCs can be markedly blocked by ML385. Conclusion: Our study demonstrated that cisplatin could induce ferroptosis in granulosa cells, while EnSCs could inhibit ferroptosis and thus exert repair effects on the cisplatin-induced injury model both in vivo and in vitro. Cilia are slender, hair-like cell protrusions that are present ubiquitously in the natural world. They perform essential functions, such as generating fluid flow, propulsion, and feeding, in organisms ranging from protozoa to the human body. The coordinated beating of cilia, which results in wavelike motions known as metachrony, has fascinated researchers for decades for its role in functions such as flow generation and mucus transport. Inspired by nature, researchers have explored diverse materials for the fabrication of artificial cilia and developed several methods to mimic the metachronal motion observed in their biological counterparts. In this review, we will introduce the different types of metachronal motion generated by both biological and artificial cilia, the latter including pneumatically, photonically, electrically, and magnetically driven artificial cilia. Furthermore, we review the possible applications of metachronal motion by artificial cilia, focusing on flow generation, transport of mucus, particles, and droplets, and microrobotic locomotion. The overall aim of this review is to offer a comprehensive overview of the metachronal motions exhibited by diverse artificial cilia and the corresponding practical implementations. Background: Imatinib has become an exceptionally effective targeted drug for treating gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs). Despite its efficacy, the resistance to imatinib is common in GIST patients, posing a significant challenge to the effective treatment. Methods: The expression profiling of TRIM21, USP15, and ACSL4 in GIST patients was evaluated using Western blot and immunohistochemistry. To silence gene expression, shRNA was utilized. Biological function of TRIM21, USP15, and ACSL4 was examined through various methods, including resistance index calculation, colony formation, shRNA interference, and xenograft mouse model. The molecular mechanism of TRIM21 and USP15 in GIST was determined by conducting Western blot, co-immunoprecipitation, and quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) analyses. Results: Here we demonstrated that downregulation of ACSL4 is associated with imatinib (IM) resistance in GIST. Moreover, clinical data showed that higher levels of ACSL4 expression are positively correlated with favorable clinical outcomes. Mechanistic investigations further indicated that the reduced expression of ACSL4 in GIST is attributed to excessive protein degradation mediated by the E3 ligase TRIM21 and the deubiquitinase USP15. Hypoxia-mediated chemoresistance plays a crucial role in the development of ovarian cancer (OC). However, the roles of hypoxia-related genes (HRGs) in chemoresistance and prognosis prediction and theirs underlying mechanisms remain to be further elucidated. We intended to identify and validate classifiers of hub HRGs for chemoresistance, diagnosis, prognosis as well as immune microenvironment of OC, and to explore the function of the most crucial HRG in the development of the malignant phenotypes. The RNA expression and clinical data of HRGs were systematically evaluated in OC training group. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis were applied to construct hub HRGs classifiers for prognosis and diagnosis assessment. The relationship between classifiers and chemotherapy response and underlying pathways were detected by GSEA, CellMiner and CIBERSORT algorithm, respectively. OC cells were cultured under hypoxia or transfected with HIF-1α or HIF-2α plasmids, and the transcription levels of TGFBI were assessed by quantitative PCR. TGFBI was knocked down by siRNAs in OC cells, CCK8 and in vitro migration and invasion assays were performed to examine the changes in cell proliferation, motility and metastasis. The difference in TGFBI expression was examined between cisplatin-sensitive and -resistant cells, and the effects of TGFBI interference on cell apoptosis, DNA repair and key signaling molecules of cisplatin-resistant OC cells were explored. A total of 179 candidate HRGs were extracted and enrolled into univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis. Six hub genes (TGFBI, CDKN1B, AKAP12, GPC1, TGM2 and ANGPTL4) were selected to create a HRGs prognosis classifier and four genes (TGFBI, AKAP12, GPC1 and TGM2) were selected to construct diagnosis classifiers. The HRGs prognosis classifier could precisely distinguish OC patients into high-risk and low-risk groups and estimate their clinical outcomes. Furthermore, the high-risk group had higher percentage of Macrophages M2 and exhibited higher expression of immunecheckpoints such as PD-L2. Additionally, the diagnosis classifiers could accurately distinguish OC from normal samples. TGFBI was further verified as a specific key target and demonstrated that its high expression was closely correlated with poor prognosis and chemoresistance of OC. Hypoxia upregulated the expression level of TGFBI. The hypoxia-induced factor HIF-2α but not HIF-1α could directly bind to the promoter region of TGFBI, and facilitate its transcription level. TGFBI was upregulated in cisplatin-sensitive and resistant ovarian cancer cells in a cisplatin time-dependent manner. TGFBI interference downregulated DNA repair-related markers (p-p95/NBS1, RAD51, p-DNA-PKcs, DNA Ligase IV and Artemis), apoptosis-related marker (BCL2) and PI3K/Akt pathway-related markers (PI3K-p110 and p-Akt) in cisplatin-resistant OC cells. In summary, the HRGs prognosis risk classifier could be served as a predictor for OC prognosis and efficacy evaluation. Background: Hypertrophic scar (HS) is caused by the abnormal proliferation of fibroblasts and excessive deposition of extracellular matrix (ECM). Emerging evidence demonstrates that c‐Maf positive M2 macrophages were mainly located in the hypertrophic scar tissues of proliferative phase. But whether c‐Maf positive M2 macrophages can promote hypertrophic scar formation through modulating hypertrophic scar fibroblasts remains elusive. Aims: The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of c‐Maf positive M2 macrophages on the biological behaviors and functions of hypertrophic scar fibroblasts and the potential mechanism. Methods: HE and Masson trichrome staining were used to examine the histological features of human hypertrophic scar. Immunofluorescence staining was employed to label and quantify the c‐Maf+/CD68+ M2 macrophages. CCK8, wound healing, and transwell assays were utilized to test the effects of c‐Maf overexpressed M2 macrophages or the cell culture supernatants on the proliferation and migration of hypertrophic scar derived fibroblasts (HFBs) and normal skin derived fibroblasts (NFBs). Western blot and qPCR were harnessed to test the expressions of COL1, COL3, and α‐SMA in the co‐cultivated fibroblasts and TGF‐β1 in the c‐Maf overexpressed M2 macrophages. Results: Increased number of c‐Maf+/CD68+ M2 macrophages were found in HS in contrast to the normal skin (NS). Elevated proliferation and migration were observed in the HFBs or NFBs co‐cultured with c‐Maf overexpressed macrophages or the cell culture supernatants. A higher mRNA and protein expressions of COL1, COL3, and α‐SMA were recorded in the HFBs co‐cultured with c‐Maf overexpressed macrophages or treated with its culture supernatants. In addition, augmented mRNA and protein expressions of TGF‐β1 were also investigated in the c‐Maf overexpressed macrophages. The security context, generally stored in the universal subscriber identity module card or the baseband chip, is the critical information applied by the subscriber to access the 5G network during the fast authentication procedure. Once exposed or illegally used, the security context can be exploited to derive various keys for authentication and encryption. Despite its importance, challenges and questions still remain in the previous relevant research. To fill this gap, by adopting the security protocol verification tool ProVerif, we provide a comprehensive formal model of the fast authentication procedure based on the security context to analyze whether security goals can be met. Unfortunately, we uncover two vulnerabilities, including one never reported before. Our analysis shows that these vulnerabilities stem from fundamental design flaws in the cellular network protocol and thus apply to the 4G network. These vulnerabilities could be exploited to launch several attacks, including impersonation and eavesdropping. We have validated these attacks using 5 mobile phones from 5 different baseband manufacturers through experimentation in three mobile carriers. We find an insecure implementation of one of these phones, which exposed it to replay attacks. And we further discuss the security threats posed by the impersonation attack, such as location spoofing and one-tap authentication bypass, which is verified on 10 popular apps. We finally propose several countermeasures to eliminate these security issues. Implementing real-time carbon emissions monitoring at the enterprise level enables the detailed breakdown of carbon neutrality goals for microcosmic enterprises, which is of paramount significance in ensuring the precision of policy formulations. Grounded in China's historical electricity consumption and carbon emissions data, this study utilizes the network approach and input–output methods to compute and predict direct and indirect transmission coefficients of electricity consumption and carbon emissions in each province. We establish a methodology that enables the monitoring of real-time carbon emissions of enterprises based on corporate electricity consumption data. Using the metal smelting industry in Guangxi as an example, our findings are as follows: First, in 2020, the comprehensive carbon emissions of the ferrous metal smelting industry in Guangxi reached 58.84 million tons, marking a notable increase of 42.78% compared to emissions in 2014, indicating that emissions reductions are imperative. Second, significant regional variations in emission coefficients are observed, with values ranging from 14 g CO2/KWh to 940 g CO2/KWh among provinces. Meanwhile, the trends of direct carbon emissions and indirect carbon emissions are totally different, underscoring the importance of comprehensive carbon accounting in informing policy decisions. Third, through the carbon emissions real-time monitoring of 75 metal smelting industry enterprises using electricity big data, we identified that the distribution of emissions across industries, time periods, and regions is uneven. Overall, this method can optimize carbon emission measurement techniques to a higher spatiotemporal resolution and more microscopic monitoring subjects, providing essential numerical foundations for promoting carbon emissions reduction and sustainable development. Background: G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) have been shown to have an important role in tumor development and metastasis, and abnormal expression of GPCRs is significantly associated with poor prognosis of tumor patients. In this study, we analyzed the GPCRs-related gene (GPRGs) and tumor microenvironment (TME) in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM) to construct a prognostic model to help SKCM patients obtain accurate clinical treatment strategies. Methods: SKCM expression data and clinical information were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases. Differential expression analysis, LASSO algorithm, and univariate and multivariate cox regression analysis were used to screen prognosis-related genes (GPR19, GPR146, S1PR2, PTH1R, ADGRE5, CXCR3, GPR143, and OR2I1P) and multiple prognosis-good immune cells; the data set was analyzed according to above results and build up a GPR-TME classifier. The model was further subjected to immune infiltration, functional enrichment, tumor mutational load, immunotherapy prediction, and scRNA-seq data analysis. Finally, cellular experiments were conducted to validate the functionality of the key gene GPR19 in the model. Results: The findings indicate that high expression of GPRGs is associated with a poor prognosis in patients with SKCM, highlighting the significant role of GPRGs and the tumor microenvironment (TME) in SKCM development. Notably, the group characterized by low GPR expression and a high TME exhibited the most favorable prognosis and immunotherapeutic efficacy. Furthermore, cellular assays demonstrated that knockdown of GPR19 significantly reduced the proliferation, migration, and invasive capabilities of melanoma cells in A375 and A2058 cell lines. Background: The incidence of skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), one of the most aggressive and lethal skin tumors, is increasing worldwide. However, for advanced SKCM, we still lack an accurate and valid way to predict its prognosis, as well as novel theories to guide the planning of treatment options for SKCM patients. Lactylation (LAC), a novel post-translational modification of histones, has been shown to promote tumor growth and inhibit the antitumor response of the tumor microenvironment (TME) in a variety of ways. We hope that this study will provide new ideas for treatment options for SKCM patients, as well as research on the molecular mechanisms of SKCM pathogenesis and development. Methods: At the level of the RNA sequencing set (TCGA, GTEx), we used differential expression analysis, LASSO regression analysis, and multifactor Cox regression analysis to screen for prognosis-related genes and calculate the corresponding LAC scores. The content of TME cells in the tumor tissue was calculated using the CIBERSORT algorithm, and the TME score was calculated based on its results. Finally, the LAC–TME classifier was established and further analyzed based on the two scores, including the construction of a prognostic model, analysis of clinicopathological characteristics, and correlation analysis of tumor mutation burden (TMB) and immunotherapy. Based on single-cell RNA sequencing data, this study analyzed the cellular composition in SKCM tissues and explored the role of LAC scores in intercellular communication. To validate the functionality of the pivotal gene CLPB in the model, cellular experiments were ultimately executed. Results: We screened a total of six prognosis-related genes (NDUFA10, NDUFA13, CLPB, RRM2B, HPDL, NARS2) and 7 TME cells with good prognosis. According to Kaplan–Meier survival analysis, we found that the LAClow/TMEhigh group had the highest overall survival (OS) and the LAChigh/TMElow group had the lowest OS (p value < 0.05). In further analysis of immune infiltration, tumor microenvironment (TME), functional enrichment, tumor mutational load and immunotherapy, we found that immunotherapy was more appropriate in the LAClow/TMEhigh group. Moreover, the cellular assays exhibited substantial reductions in proliferation, migration, and invasive potentials of melanoma cells in both A375 and A2058 cell lines upon CLPB knockdown. Conclusions: The prognostic model using the combined LAC score and TME score was able to predict the prognosis of SKCM patients more consistently, and the LAC–TME classifier was able to significantly differentiate the prognosis of SKCM patients across multiple clinicopathological features. A new type of composite lubricant was prepared and its friction and wear characteristics were studied. The lubricant formula was optimized through the uniform design method, a model was established with SPSS and Matlab softwares, and results were analyzed by Intuitive analysis and regression analysis. The polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) was added to prepare a new type of composite lubricant p2, the lubricant contact friction status was analyzed to determine whether the friction coefficient of the contact surface had significantly reduced, and various properties of the metal were further analyzed. The results show that friction coefficients of lubricant p2 added with PTFE have reduced by 51.26% and 29.81% compared with dry friction and lubricant pi respectively. Observing the morphology of the wear scars, it is found that the friction film can make the metal flow more uniform during the forming process, reduce the deformation force, and effectively avoid a variety of forming defects. Background: The involvement of ferroptosis in the pathogenesis and progression of various cancers has been well established. However, limited studies have investigated the role of ferroptosis-mediated tumor microenvironment (TME) in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM). Methods: By leveraging single-cell RNA sequencing data, the nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) approach was employed to comprehensively characterize and identify distinct gene signatures within ferroptosis-associated TME cell clusters. Prognostic and treatment response analyses were conducted using both bulk datasets and external cancer cohort to evaluate the clinical implications of TME clusters. Results: This NMF-based analysis successfully delineated fibroblasts, macrophages, T cells, and B cells into multiple clusters, enabling the identification of unique gene expression patterns and the annotation of distinct TME clusters. Furthermore, pseudotime trajectories, enrichment analysis, cellular communication analysis, and gene regulatory network analysis collectively demonstrated significant intercellular communication between key TME cell clusters, thereby influencing tumor cell development through diverse mechanisms. Importantly, our bulk RNA-seq analysis revealed the prognostic significance of ferroptosis-mediated TME cell clusters in SKCM patients. Moreover, our analysis of immune checkpoint blockade highlighted the crucial role of TME cell clusters in tumor immunotherapy, facilitating the discovery of potential immunotherapeutic targets. Conclusions: In conclusion, this pioneering study employing NMF-based analysis unravels the intricate cellular communication mediated by ferroptosis within the TME and its profound implications for the pathogenesis and progression of SKCM. With the rapid pace of global urbanization, understanding the impact of the urban built environment on travel behavior has become increasingly significant for developing sustainable and efficient transportation systems. This study conducts a bibliometric review of related research over the past two decades (1997–2023), utilizing 1745 publications from the Web of Science database through network analysis and content analysis. It provides a comprehensive quantitative analysis encompassing publication trends, national and institutional collaborations, and keyword evolution clustering perspectives. The results reveal that (1) academic interest in exploring the implications of the urban built environment on travel behavior has grown markedly, especially in the past decade, with emerging technological approaches and research perspectives; (2) the USA, P.R.CHINA, and the United Kingdom are major research forces in this field, with notable contributions from research institutions in P.R.CHINA and the USA; (3) the "Transportation Research Part" series journals demonstrate extensive influence both in terms of publication count and citation count; (4) through keyword co-occurrence network analysis, three development stages along with five major clusters were identified: travel behavior modeling and public health, active transportation and sustainable development, urban development and carbon emissions, land use and transportation integration, and urban transportation systems and machine learning. Overall, sustained research remains warranted within this field, particularly focusing on selecting new built environment metrics while integrating emerging technologies into travel behavior modeling frameworks. Explore the hydrochemical characteristics of surface water (SW) and groundwater (GW) under coal mining activities and controlling factors is essential to ensure water security. This research concentrates on the Changhe River Basin (CRB). Water samples were collected from 27 sites within the CRB in May, July and December 2022. A qualitative analysis of hydrochemical characteristics and major ion sources was conducted based on Piper plots, Gibbs plots, Pearson correlation analysis and ion ratio methods. The PCA ~ RSR model was used to assess the current status of SW and GW quality in the CRB. We found that the hydrochemical type of SW and GW is HCO3–Ca, with HCO3− accounting for 62.2% ~ 87.9% of the total anions and Ca2+ accounting for 27.4% ~ 31.3% of the total cations. Rock weathering is the main factor affecting the hydrochemical of CRB. SW is affected by the weathering and dissolution of both silicate and carbonate rocks, while GW is mainly affected by the weathering and dissolution of silicate. The cation exchange also has influence on GW. The cations in the water are mainly derived from rock weathering dissolution and exchange reactions, while SO42− in anions is mainly imported from outside. The results of the water quality assessment showed that water quality in the midstream of the study area is poor and coal mining has seriously affected water safety issues. The study reveals the impact of coal mining on hydrochemical. Background: Although WD repeat and high-mobility group box DNA binding protein 1 (WDHD1) played an essential role in DNA replication, chromosome stability, and DNA damage repair, the panoramic picture of WDHD1 in human tumors remains unclear. Hence, this study aims to comprehensively characterize WDHD1 across 33 human cancers. Methods: Based on publicly available databases such as TCGA, GTEx, and HPA, we used a bioinformatics approach to systematically explore the genomic features and biological functions of WDHD1 in pan-cancer. Results: WDHD1 mRNA levels were significantly increased in more than 20 types of tumor tissues. Elevated WDHD1 expression was associated with significantly shorter overall survival (OS) in 10 tumors. Furthermore, in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC) and liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), WDHD1 expression was significantly associated with higher histological grades and pathological stages. In addition, WDHD1 had a high diagnostic value among 16 tumors (area under the ROC curve [AUC] > 0.9). Functional enrichment analyses suggested that WDHD1 probably participated in many oncogenic pathways such as E2F and MYC targets (false discovery rate [FDR] < 0.05), and it was involved in the processes of DNA replication and DNA damage repair (p.adjust < 0.05). WDHD1 expression also correlated with the half-maximal inhibitory concentrations (IC50) of rapamycin (4 out of 10 cancers) and paclitaxel (10 out of 10 cancers). Overall, WDHD1 was negatively associated with immune cell infiltration and might promote tumor immune escape. Our analysis of genomic alterations suggested that WDHD1 was altered in 1.5% of pan-cancer cohorts and the "mutation" was the predominant type of alteration. Finally, through correlation analysis, we found that WDHD1 might be closely associated with tumor heterogeneity, tumor stemness, mismatch repair (MMR), and RNA methylation modification, which were all processes associated with the tumor progression. Conclusions: Our pan-cancer analysis of WDHD1 provides valuable insights into the genomic characterization and biological functions of WDHD1 in human cancers and offers some theoretical support for the future use of WDHD1-targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and chemotherapeutic combinations for the management of tumors. Premature ovarian failure (POF) is a complicated disorder related to the apoptosis of granulosa cells. The incidence of chemotherapy-associated POF is rising dramatically owing to the increasing proportion of cancer in adolescents. According to previous studies, oxidative stress caused by chemotherapeutic agents plays an important role in the development of POF. However, the exact effects of nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor2 (NRF2), a pivotal anti-oxidative factor, are still unknown in chemotherapy-associated POF. Firstly, we manipulated NRF2 expressions on a genetic or pharmaceutical level in cisplatin-injured granulosa cell models. The results indicate that the increasing NRF2 in cisplatin-injured cells was just compensatory and not enough to resist the accumulated stress. Upregulation of NRF2 could protect granulosa cells against cisplatin via elevating autophagic level by using an autophagic activator (rapamycin) and inhibitor (chloroquine). Additionally, exogenous FGF2 exerted a protective role by increasing NRF2 expression and promoting its nuclear translocation. Meanwhile, the results in cisplatin-POF mice models were consistent with what was found in injured cells. In conclusion, our research proved that FGF2 rescued cisplatin-injured granulosa cells through the NRF2-autophagy pathway and might provide a possible alternative treatment choice by targeting NRF2 for POF patients who are intolerant or unsuitable to FGF2. Structured light beams have recently attracted enormous research interest for their unique properties and potential applications in optical communications, imaging, sensing, etc. Since most of these applications involve the propagation of structured light beams, which is accompanied by the phenomenon of diffraction, it is very necessary to employ diffraction theories to analyze the obstacle effects on structured light beams during propagation. The aim of this work is to provide a systematic summary and comparison of the scalar diffraction theories for structured light beams. We first present the scalar fields of typical structured light beams in the source plane, including the fundamental Gaussian beams, higher-order Hermite–Gaussian beams, Laguerre–Gaussian vortex beams, non-diffracting Bessel beams, and self-accelerating Airy beams. Then, we summarize and compare the main scalar diffraction theories of structured light beams, including the Fresnel diffraction integral, Collins formula, angular spectrum representation, and Rayleigh–Sommerfeld diffraction integral. Finally, based on these theories, we derive in detail the analytical propagation expressions of typical structured light beams under different conditions. In addition, the propagation of typical structured light beams is simulated. We hope this work can be helpful for the efficient study of the propagation of structured light beams. Healthy cartilage is a water-filled super lubricious tissue. Collagen type II provides it structural stability, and proteoglycans absorb water to keep the cartilage in a swollen condition, providing it the ability to creep and provide weeping lubrication. Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative and debilitating disorder of diarthrodial joints, where articular cartilage damage originates from enzymatic degradation and mechanical damage (wear). The objective of this research is to observe the level of cartilage damage present in knee arthroplasty patients and to understand the friction and creep behavior of enzymatically degraded bovine cartilage in vitro. Lateral (Lat) and medial (Med) condylar cartilages from OA patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty showed signs of enzymatic degradation and mechanical damage. Bovine cartilages were exposed to collagenase III and chondroitinase ABC to degrade collagen and proteoglycans, respectively. The loss of proteoglycans or collagen network and morphological changes were observed through histology and the atomic force microscope (AFM), respectively. A significant effect on creep due to enzymatic treatment was not observed. But the enzymatic treatment was found to significantly decrease the coefficient of friction (COF) at 4 N, while higher COF was shown from chondroitinase ABC degraded cartilage at 40 N. Collagenase III treatment leads to the release of intact proteoglycans at the sliding interface, while chondroitinase ABC treatment leads to the loss of chondroitin sulfate (CS) from the proteoglycans. Traditional nonintelligent signal control systems are typically used in road traffic signal systems, which cannot provide optimal guidance and have low traffic efficiency during rush hour. This study proposes a traffic signal phase dynamic timing optimization strategy based on a time convolution network and attention mechanism to improve traffic efficiency at intersections. The corresponding optimization was performed after predicting traffic conditions with different impacts using the digital twinning technique. This method uses a time-convolution network to extract the cross-time nonlinear characteristics of traffic data at road intersections. An attention mechanism was introduced to capture the relationship between the importance distribution and duration of the historical time series to predict the traffic flow at an intersection. The interpretability and prediction accuracy of the model was effectively improved. The model was tested using traffic flow data from a signalized intersection in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province, China. The experimental results indicate that the model generated by training has a strong learning ability for the temporal characteristics of traffic flow. The One-Tap Authentication (OTAuth) based on the cellular network is a password-less login service provided by Mobile Network Operator (MNO) through the unique communication gateway access technique. The service allows app users to quickly sign up or log in with their mobile phone numbers without entering a password. Due to its convenience, OTAuth has been widely used by various apps. However, some studies have elaborated that OTAuth services are of great drawbacks from the perspective of mobile security and identified several flawed designs, which make the MNO cannot distinguish malicious apps from normal ones and cause impersonation attacks. In this paper, we further analyze OTAuth services from the perspective of 4G and 5G cellular networks and focus on two important procedures in which the cellular network plays an important role in OTAuth services. Not surprisingly, we discover a new fundamental design flaw in determining whether the runtime environment supports OTAuth services. Moreover, we propose a mature attack paradigm by exploiting this flaw, which allows an attacker to login or register one app as a victim. To evaluate the impact of the attack, we have examined 100/90/100 Android/iOS/HarmonyOS apps for OTAuth services of 3 mainstream MNOs in China. The experimental results show that our proposed attack is applicable to almost all the apps that support OTAuth services, and affects more apps than the attacks that have been reported before. Finally, we propose several countermeasures to defend against the attack. Note that, for security’s sake, we have already reported our findings to authorized parties and received their confirmations. Simple Summary: High-concentrate diets can damage the barrier function of the rumen epithelium and lead to inflammation, which may result in digestive and metabolic disorders and growth retardation in lambs. The phenolic phytonutrients, such as cinnamaldehyde, eugenol, and capsicum oleoresin, have been suggested to act as rumen modifiers. Our results show that a blend of cinnamaldehyde, eugenol, and capsicum oleoresin (CEC) supplementation improved the growth performance and rumen health of lambs fed a high-concentrate diet, which could be due to reducing inflammation and apoptosis, protecting barrier function, and modulating the bacterial community. We investigated the effects of CEC on the fermentation characteristics, epithelial gene expression, and bacterial community in the rumen of lambs fed a high-concentrate diet. Twenty-four 3-month-old female crossbred lambs with an initial body weight of 30.37 ± 0.57 kg were randomly allocated to consume a diet supplemented with 80 mg/kg CEC (CEC) or not (CON). The experiment consisted of a 14 d adaptation period and a 60 d data collection period. Compared with the CON group, the CEC group had higher ADG, epithelial cell thickness, ruminal butyrate proportion, and lower ammonia nitrogen concentration. Increases in the mRNA expression of Occludin and Claudin-4, as well as decreases in the mRNA expression of apoptotic protease activating factor-1 (Apaf-1), cytochrome c (Cyt-C), Caspase-8, Caspase-9, Caspase-3, Caspase-7, and toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), were observed in the CEC group. Moreover, CEC treatment also decreased the concentration of IL-1β, IL-12, and TNF-α. Supplementation with CEC altered the structure and composition of the rumen bacterial community, which was indicated by the increased relative abundances of Firmicutes, Synergistota, Rikenellaceae_RC9_gut_group, Olsenella, Schwartzia, Erysipelotrichaceae_UCG-002, Lachnospiraceae_NK3A20_group, Acetitomaculum, [Eubacterium]_ruminantium_group, Prevotellaceae_UCG-004, Christensenellaceae_R-7_group, Sphaerochaeta, Pyramidobacter, and [Eubacterium]_eligens_group, and the decreased relative abundances of Acidobacteriota, Chloroflexi, Gemmatimonadota, and MND1. Furthermore, Spearman correlation analysis revealed that the altered rumen bacteria were closely correlated with rumen health-related indices. The accurate and rapid prediction of parking availability is helpful for improving parking efficiency and to optimize traffic systems. However, previous studies have suffered from limited training sample sizes and a lack of thorough investigation into the correlations among the factors affecting parking availability. The purpose of this study is to explore a prediction method that can account for multiple factors. Firstly, a dynamic prediction method based on a temporal convolutional network (TCN) model was confirmed to be efficient for ultra-short-term parking availability with an accuracy of 0.96 MSE. Then, an attention-enhanced TCN (A-TCN) model based on spatial attention modules was proposed. This model integrates multiple factors, including related dates, extreme weather, and human control, to predict the daily congestion index of parking lots in the short term, with a prediction period of up to one month. Experimental results on real data demonstrate that the MSE of A-TCN is 0.0061, exhibiting better training efficiency and prediction accuracy than a traditional TCN for the short-term prediction time scale. Exploring the impact of land use and slope on basin water quality can effectively contribute to the protection of the latter at the landscape level. This research concentrates on the Weihe River Basin (WRB). Water samples were collected from 40 sites within the WRB in April and October 2021. A quantitative analysis of the relationship between integrated landscape pattern (land use type, landscape configuration, slope) and basin water quality at the sub-basin, riparian zone, and river scales was conducted based on multiple linear regression analysis (MLR) and redundancy analysis (RDA). The correlation between water quality variables and land use was higher in the dry season than in the wet season. The riparian scale was the best spatial scale model to explain the relationship between land use and water quality. Agricultural and urban lands had a strong correlation with water quality, which was most affected by land use area and morphological indicators. In addition, the greater the area and aggregation of forest land and grassland, the better the water quality, while urban land presented larger areas with poorer water quality. The influence of steeper slopes on water quality was more remarkable than that of plains at the sub-basin scale, while the impact of flatter areas was greater at the riparian zone scale. The results indicated the importance of multiple time–space scales to reveal the complex relationship between land use and water quality. Twisted light carrying orbital angular momentum inherently possesses a handedness, which would produce chiroptical responses by chiral matter. In this work, a scheme of vortical differential scattering (VDS) was utilized to investigate the chiroptical responses of dielectric chiral particles to the twisted light. The simulation results showed that the dielectric chiral particles have obvious VDS signals under the illumination of twisted light with opposite topological charges. The larger the relative chiral parameter of the particles, the more obvious the VDS signals. The extreme value of the VDS signals can be enhanced by reducing the waist radius of the twisted light or by adopting the circularly polarized twisted light. In addition, non-spherical dielectric chiral particles exhibit more obvious VDS signals compared with spherical ones. Tumor cell-derived vesicles are released by tumor cells, have a phospholipid bilayer, and are widely distributed in various biological fluids. In recent years, it has been found that tumor cell-derived vesicles contain proteins, metabolites and nucleic acids and can be delivered to recipient cells to perform their physiological functions, such as mediating specific intercellular communication, activating or inhibiting signaling pathways, participating in regulating the modulation of tumor microenvironment and influencing tumor development, which can be used for early detection and diagnosis of cancer. In addition, tumor cell-derived vesicles exhibit multiple properties in tumor therapeutic applications and may serve as a new class of delivery systems. The interactions between electromagnetic (EM) waves and Metamaterials have always been considered as research focus of electronic information science and technology. In this work, we focus on the dynamical properties of EM waves with vortex structure propagating in left-handed materials (LHMs) exhibiting dispersive characteristics. The analytical expressions for the electric and magnetic field components of vortex EM waves without the limitation of the paraxial condition are derived using the spectral domain method. A canonical approach is utilized to explore the dynamical properties, including the energy, momentum, spin and orbital angular momentum, of vortex EM waves in dispersive LHMs. Numerical results show that the orientation of transverse energy flow in the LHM is reversed compared to that in the free space. The waves with higher angular frequency are beneficial to improve the dynamical characteristics. Furthermore, the topological charge and polarization state have a significant effect on the dynamical quantities. Geothermal heating is considered to be one of the low-carbon-energy technologies for building heating. Aiming at the problem that the operating cost and investment cost of geothermal heating systems are still high, the conventional geothermal heating system coupled with energy storage for office building heating is studied in this paper. Four operational strategy models of the coupled system are established based on time-of-use electricity prices. A genetic algorithm is used to find the optimal value of each decision variable using minimization of levelized cost of heat (LCOH) as the objective function. The influences of electricity and equipment prices on the optimal values of the decision variables are discussed. Four operation strategies are investigated. If only operating cost is considered in the optimization, comparison shows that the best operation strategy is the one giving high priority to use the energy storage tank for heating during the peak electricity period. However, if the investment cost is further considered in the optimization, the best operation strategy is the one using the energy storage tank for heat load peak-regulating. In addition, based on the minimization of LCOH, an optimal energy storage ratio is found for each scenario, and suitable conditions of using energy storage tank are discussed. The geothermal heating system coupled with energy storage can have a good performance when the peak-valley electricity price difference is higher than CNY 0.566/kW·h (USD 0.0847/kW·h)+ or the energy storage tank price is lower than CNY 900/m3 (USD 134.64/m3). The results obtained from this study prove that the cost of geothermal heating systems can be effectively reduced by choosing an optimal operation strategy and using an energy storage device with an optimal energy storage ratio. The industrial transformation led by digitization-related technologies has attracted research attention in recent decades, enhancing its application in different sectors. The transport industry is a crucial driving force for economic growth and social development. It is still necessary to make transportation infrastructure and services safer, cleaner, and more affordable to cope with increasing urbanization and mobility. This paper systematically examines the science mapping of building information modeling and digital twins technologies in the digitalization of transportation. Through the bibliometric and content analysis approaches, 493 related documents were screened and analyzed from the Web of Science and Scopus databases. The software programs VOSviewer and Bibliometrix were used to determine research trends and current gaps, which will be beneficial to future research in this vital field. The results showed that over 80% of the relevant documents have been published since 2018. China is the most productive country, followed by the United States and Italy, and Germany is the most cited and influential country. Moreover, research also revealed the leading authors, top journals, and highly cited papers. The findings may be used as a guide for: (1) improving the efficiency of intelligent transportation system element management; (2) the development and application of digital technologies; (3) the flow and goals of entire-life-cycle management; and (4) the optimization of related algorithms and models. The insulin family consists of insulin, insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF-2), their receptors (IR, IGF-1R and IGF-2R), and their binding proteins. All three ligands are involved in cell proliferation, apoptosis, protein synthesis and metabolism due to their homologous sequences and structural similarities. Insulin-like growth factor 2, a member of the insulin family, plays an important role in embryonic development, metabolic disorders, and tumorigenesis by combining with three receptors with different degrees of affinity. The main pathological feature of various fibrotic diseases is the excessive deposition of extracellular matrix (ECM) after tissue and organ damage, which eventually results in organic dysfunction because scar formation replaces tissue parenchyma. As a mitogenic factor, IGF-2 is overexpressed in many fibrotic diseases. It can promote the proliferation of fibroblasts significantly, as well as the production of ECM in a time- and dose-dependent manner. With the rapid development of 5G SA (standalone) networks, increasing subscribers are motivated to make calls through 5G. To support voice services critical to mobile users, 5G SA networks adopt two solutions: VoNR (Voice Over New Radio) and EPS (Evolved Packet System) fallback. At this stage, 5G SA networks provide voice services through EPS fallback, which leverages 4G networks to support voice calls for 5G users. This switch between cellular network systems may expose vulnerabilities to adversaries. However, there is a lack of security research on voice services in the 5G SA network. In this paper, we analyze the security of EPS fallback and its closely related IMS from the perspective of the protocol and the practices of the carriers. We uncover two protocol design vulnerabilities and two implementation flaws. In addition, we exploit them to design three attacks: voice DoS, voice monitoring, and SMS spoofing and interception. We validated these vulnerabilities and attacks using SDR (software-defined radio) tools and a set of open-source software in three mobile carriers. Aiming at the requirements for endoscope in minimally invasive surgery, a dual neural network (DNN) controller is designed for a flexible endoscopic robot (FER) with 10 DOF. First, the FER's kinematics model with remote center of motion (RCM) constraints is established. Then, a quadratic programming control scheme involving the tracking error, joint motion, and RCM constraints of the FER is proposed. A DNN solver of the control scheme, which is activated by the sum of linear and sign-bi-power activation function with adjustable parameters (LSB-AF-AP), is designed, and its convergence rate (CR) and antinoise ability can be improved via adjusting the parameters of LSB-AF-AP. The DNN can converge rapidly in finite time and it is proved by utilizing the Lyapunov theory. Compared with the previous linear AFs applied to the DNN, theoretical analysis indicates that the DNN activated by the LSB-AF-AP has an accelerated CR. Meanwhile, it is proved that the solution obtained by using the designed DNN is the optimal solution of the control scheme. Finally, simulations using the ROS and Gazebo, and an experiment performed on a real FER are conducted. The simulative and experimental results verify that the control scheme can complete the target tracking task well, and the CR and antinoise ability of the algorithm can be further improved via adjusting the parameters of LSB-AF-AP. Fumonisin B1 (FB1) has the highest natural contamination rate among all fumonisin analogs and can inhibit food intake and weight gain of pigs. Under laboratory conditions, carboxylesterase FumDSB has a high FB1 degradation rate and excellent pH and thermal stability. The present study sought to estimate the effects of FumDSB on growing pigs from the perspective of a brain–intestinal axis. Twenty-four growing pigs of similar weight were divided into Control, FB1 (5 mg FB1/kg feed), and FumDSB (5 mg FB1/kg and 0.1% FumDSB in the feed) groups. After 42 days of feeding, hypothalamus and jejunum samples were collected for quantitative real-time fluorescence, western blotting, and immunohistochemistry. The results showed that FB1 consumption can destruct the tissue structure of hypothalamus and jejunum, affect the expression and distribution of several appetite-related neuropeptides and inflammatory cytokines, thereby inducing neuroinflammatory responses and affecting food intake and weight gain. However, these anorexia effects and inflammatory responses are alleviated when FumDSB is added to the feed. In short, FumDSB can alleviate the inflammatory response induced by FB1 in growing pigs. It is widely known that chemotherapy-induced apoptosis of granulosa was the main reason for premature ovarian failure (POF). In addition, accumulating evidence has demonstrated that autophagy was involved in it. Studies before have reported that fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF2) could attenuate cell death via regulating autophagy. In our previous study, FGF2 could decrease granulosa cell apoptosis in cisplatin-induced POF mice. Furthermore, obesity-associated protein [fat mass and obesity-associated protein (FTO)], which decreased significantly in POF mice, could inhibit cell apoptosis via activating autophagy. Moreover, downregulation of FTO could decrease the expression of paracrine factor FGF2. However, the relationship between FTO and FGF2 in granulosa cell autophagy is still unknown. In the present study, Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) and 5‐ethynyl‐2‐deoxyuridine (EdU) assays showed that exogenous addition of FGF2 could promote cisplatin-induced injured granulosa cell proliferation. Western blotting indicated that FGF2 could inhibit apoptosis of injured granulosa cells via autophagy. Inhibition of autophagy by chemicals suppressed the effect of FGF2 and promoted injured cell apoptosis. In addition, the expression of FTO was decreased in injured cells, and FGF2 addition could reverse it. Overexpression of FTO reduced injured cell apoptosis via activating the autophagy process. It is well established that chronic psychological stress (PS) induces female reproductive dysfunction. However, the studies on the consequences of chronic PS exposure precisely targeting ovarian reserve are lacking. In the present study, we employed a chronic scream sound-induced PS model to investigate the potential effect of pure psychosocial stressors on ovary reserve. Female rats were subjected to scream sound stress, white noise, or background for 3 weeks. Animals were euthanized by cervical dislocation after stress for collection of blood or ovaries. Sex hormones were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The follicle number was examined by histopathology. Granulosa cell apoptosis of the ovaries was examined by in situ cell death detection kit. Finally, rats were mated with proven fertile male rats to study fertility parameters. Female rats exposed to scream sound were presented with reduced weight gain and sucrose preference, while immobility time in forced swim test and serum corticosterone concentration were significantly increased. Scream sound stress sequentially decreased plasma anti-Müllerian hormone and estradiol concentration, induced primordial and preantral follicles loss, augmented granulosa cell apoptosis in ovarian growing follicles, and eventually decreased litter sizes. Based on these results, we suggest that chronic PS induced loss of ovarian reserve by accelerated primordial follicle activation and destruction of growing follicles, which results in follicle depletion and decreased fertility. In this paper, a finite-control-set model predictive direct torque control (FCS-MPDTC) method is proposed to reduce the torque ripple of a segmented switched reluctance motor (SSRM) at the low-speed stage. Firstly, the prediction dynamic model is established, and the phase torque can be predicted by detecting phase current and rotor position signals. Then, the principle of power converter and selection of voltage vectors are introduced and presented. Considering torque ripple reduction, flux tracking performance and copper losses reduction, the cost function with phase torque, the amplitude of flux linkage and phase current, is established to select optimal voltage vector to control the power converter. In addition, the torque sharing function (TSF) is employed to distribute total torque to phase torque for further torque ripple reduction. Finally, the direct torque control (DTC) is selected as the comparison method, performance of MPDTC is verified by simulation and experiment results. Cilia are microscopic hair-like external cell organelles that are ubiquitously present in nature, also within the human body. They fulfill crucial biological functions: motile cilia provide transportation of fluids and cells, and immotile cilia sense shear stress and concentrations of chemical species. Inspired by nature, scientists have developed artificial cilia mimicking the functions of biological cilia, aiming at application in microfluidic devices like lab-on-chip or organ-on-chip. By actuating the artificial cilia, for example by a magnetic field, an electric field, or pneumatics, microfluidic flow can be generated and particles can be transported. Other functions that have been explored are anti-biofouling and flow sensing. We provide a critical review of the progress in artificial cilia research and development as well as an evaluation of its future potential. We cover all aspects from fabrication approaches, actuation principles, artificial cilia functions – flow generation, particle transport and flow sensing – to applications. In addition to in-depth analyses of the current state of knowledge, we provide classifications of the different approaches and quantitative comparisons of the results obtained. We conclude that artificial cilia research is very much alive, with some concepts close to industrial implementation, and other developments just starting to open novel scientific opportunities. This paper proposes a fault diagnosis method for electrical machine drive system by using backpropagation neural network (BPNN) optimized by chaotic adaptive gravity search algorithm (GSA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. In this method, an adaptive gravitational constant factor based on iteration times and chaotic mapping is introduced to balance the global search ability and local development ability of GSA. Then, it is combined with PSO algorithm to solve the problem of prematurity and local optimum of PSO algorithm. Finally, combined with BPNN, a fault diagnosis model based on chaos adaptive GSA-PSO-BPNN is established. The experimental results show that the introduction of the attenuation factor of adaptive gravitational constant and the chaotic mapping can improve the classification performance of GSA-PSO-BPNN, and the feasibility and effectiveness of the chaotic adaptive GSA-PSO Algorithm are also proved. Rotation axes have been proven to be the greatest factor leading to machine tool errors, which seriously affect the machining accuracy. Therefore, it is imperative to identify the geometric errors of the rotation axes. This research focuses on how to identify the critical geometric errors of the rotation axes, so that the coupling effect of geometric errors which seriously affects the identification of geometric errors of the rotation axes can be examined. To achieve this goal, this paper proposes a global quantitative sensitivity analysis method based on homogeneous transformation matrix (HTM) theory and Sobol sensitivity analysis method. The size and randomness of geometric errors are taken into consideration and the specific indexing angles of the rotation axes are introduced to identify the critical geometric errors of the five-axis machine tool. Based on this analysis method, each geometric error components and the coupling effect between different error sources are evaluated under different indexing angles. The variation of the coupling effect of each error components within the traverse of the rotation axes is explored. The geometric error measurement experiment is established and the results are compared with the simulation results. The simulation results and experimental results reveal that the critical geometric errors that affect the machining accuracy and the variation of the geometric errors coupling effect, which provides useful guidance for the manufacturers and users of five-axis machine tools. Magnetic artificial cilia (MAC) are small actuators inspired by biological cilia found in nature. In microfluidic chips, MAC can generate flow and remove microparticles, with applications in anti‐fouling. However, the MAC used for anti‐fouling in the current literature has dimensions of several hundred micrometers in length, which limits the application to relatively large length scales. Here, biologically‐sized magnetic artificial cilia (b‐MAC) which are only 45 micrometers long and that are randomly distributed on the surface, are used to remove microparticles. It is shown that microparticles with sizes ranging from 5 to 40 µm can be removed efficiently and the final cleanness ranges from 69% to 100%, with the highest cleanness for the highest actuation frequency applied (40 Hz). The lowest cleanness is obtained for microparticles with a size equal to the average pitch between the b‐MAC. The randomness in cilia distribution appears to have a positive effect on cleanliness, compared with the authors' earlier work using a regular cilia array. The demonstrated self‐cleaning by the b‐MAC constitutes an essential step toward efficient self‐cleaning surfaces for real‐life application in miniaturized microfluidic devices, such as lab‐on‐a‐chip or organ‐on‐a‐chip devices, as well as for preventing fouling of submerged surfaces such as marine sensors. In this work, we analytically and numerically investigate the reflection characteristics of the airy beams impinging on graphene-substrate surfaces. The explicit analytical expressions for the electric and magnetic field components of the airy beams reflected from a graphene-substrate interface are derived. The local-field amplitude, Poynting vector, and spin and orbital angular momentum of the reflected airy beams with different graphene structure and beam parameters are presented and discussed. The results show that the reflection properties of the airy beams can be flexibly tuned by modulating the Fermi energy of the graphene and have a strong dependence on the incident angle and polarization state. We investigate the propagation of the Lommel beams in a gradient-index medium. Based on the ABCD transfer matrix and Collins diffraction integral formula, the analytical expressions of the complex amplitude of the Lommel beams through the gradient-index medium are derived. The intensity distribution and the Poynting vector of the Lommel beams are studied analytically and numerically. The results show that the Lommel beam is focused at the singularities and the corresponding periodic beam profile is induced by the symmetrical refractive index pattern during the beam propagating in the gradient-index medium. The effects of the asymmetry factor and the topological charge on the propagation characteristics of the Lommel beams in the gradient-index medium are discussed in detail. Especially, the propagation trajectories of the Lommel beams become visible as the topological charge increases and the symmetry of the Lommel beam's transverse intensity pattern can be controlled by varying the asymmetry factor. As a kind of non-diffracting beam, optical needle is gaining increased attention for its interesting properties and various potential applications. In this paper, we theoretically investigate the optical trapping force and torque on a Rayleigh spheroidal particle by an optical needle. A strategy to realize a non-diffracting optical needle by focusing a radially polarized vortex (RPV) beam with a high numerical aperture (NA) lens system is introduced and a diffractive optical element (DOE) is adopted to control the field distribution of the optical needle. Based on the field expressions of the optical needle derived through the Richards and Wolf theory, the factors affecting the properties of the optical needle are examined. Within the framework of dipole approximation, the optical trapping force and torque of an optical needle on a prolate spheroid with any spatial orientation are calculated. Numerical results show that the trapping force and torque are significantly affected by the field distribution of the optical needle, as well as the ellipticity and orientation of the spheroid. Monotonicity is an appealing principle of relational power measures in social networks. It states that as the influence of an individual changes, the relational power measure should change in the same direction. We axiomatically characterize the β - and score-measures on directed networks using three axioms: two different monotonicity axioms, the same symmetry axiom and two different efficiency axioms, respectively. For every individual, the β -measure refers to a weighted sum over all dominated individuals by itself, in which for each dominated individual the weight is given by the reciprocal of the number of its dominators, while the score-measure refers simply to the number of dominated individuals by itself. A viscoelastic lattice spring model is applied to real polymer blend containing strong interaction, i.e., chemical bond, to investigate the structure–property correlation in combination of Monte Carlo method modified by cavity diffusion and bond length fluctuation algorithms. Impacts of inclusion ratio, chemical bonds, chain length, and interface orientation on the mechanical response along with fracture mode are quantified through simulation of uniaxial tensile test. It is confirmed that introduction of strong interaction and prolongation in chain length induces observable reinforcement in global modulus and ultimate tensile strength, respectively, and the amplification is more significant when the interface is parallel to external load. Objective: We applied low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) stimulation of the ventrolateral periaqueductal gray (vlPAG) in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs) model to demonstrate the feasibility of LIFU stimulation to decrease blood pressure (BP). Methods: The rats were treated with LIFU stimulation for 20 min every day for one week. The change of BP and heart rate (HR) were recorded to evaluate the antihypertensive effect. Then the plasma levels of epinephrine (EPI), norepinephrine (NE), and angiotensin II (ANGII) were measured to evaluate the activity of the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) and the renin-angiotensin system (RAS). The c-fos immunofluorescence assay was performed to investigate the antihypertensive nerve pathway. Moreover, the biological safety of ultrasound sonication was examined. Results: The LIFU stimulation induced a significant reduction of BP in 8 SHRs. The mean systolic blood pressure (SBP) was reduced from 170 ± 4 mmHg to 128 ± 4.5 mmHg after a one-week treatment, p < 0.01. The activity of SNS and RAS were also inhibited. The results of the c-fos immunofluorescence assay showed that US stimulation of the vlPAG significantly enhanced the neuronal activity both in vlPAG and caudal ventrolateral medulla (CVLM) regions. And the US stimulation used in this study did not cause significant tissue damage, hemorrhage and cell apoptosis in the sonication region. Conclusion: The results support that LIFU stimulation of the vlPAG could relieve hypertension in SHRs. Biological cilia that generate fluid flow or propulsion are often found to exhibit a collective wavelike metachronal motion, i.e. neighboring cilia beat slightly out-of-phase rather than synchronously. Inspired by this observation, this article experimentally demonstrates that microscopic magnetic artificial cilia (μMAC) performing a metachronal motion can generate strong microfluidic flows, though, interestingly, the mechanism is different from that in biological cilia, as is found through a systematic experimental study. The μMAC are actuated by a facile magnetic setup, consisting of an array of rod-shaped magnets. This arrangement imposes a time-dependent non-uniform magnetic field on the μMAC array, resulting in a phase difference between the beatings of adjacent μMAC, while each cilium exhibits a two-dimensional whip-like motion. By performing the metachronal 2D motion, the μMAC are able to generate a strong flow in a microfluidic chip, with velocities of up to 3000 μm s−1 in water, which, different from biological cilia, is found to be a result of combined metachronal and inertial effects, in addition to the effect of asymmetric beating. The pumping performance of the metachronal μMAC outperforms all previously reported microscopic artificial cilia, and is competitive with that of most of the existing microfluidic pumping methods, while the proposed platform requires no physical connection to peripheral equipment, reduces the usage of reagents by minimizing "dead volumes", avoids undesirable electrical effects, and accommodates a wide range of different fluids. The 2D metachronal motion can also generate a flow with velocities up to 60 μm s−1 in pure glycerol, where Reynolds number is less than 0.05 and the flow is primarily caused by the metachronal motion of the μMAC. These findings offer a novel solution to not only create on-chip integrated micropumps, but also design swimming and walking microrobots, as well as self-cleaning and antifouling surfaces. Pancreatic cancer is a common malignant digestive disease. Epidemiological and clinical studies have demonstrated that pancreatic cancer is closely related to diabetes mellitus. Diabetic patients are more likely to develop pancreatic cancer, which is linked with poor outcomes. Pancreatic cancer is complicated with abnormal blood sugar and insulin resistance and promotes the development of diabetes mellitus. Understanding the molecular mechanisms linking diabetes mellitus and pancreatic cancer is essential for the treatment of diabetes cancer patients. The transforming growth factor‐β (TGF‐β) signaling pathway is deregulated in cancer and has a dual role in different stages of cancer as a suppressor or a promoter. More important, The TGF‐β signaling pathway is also another important reason for diabetic complications. This review summarizes the relationship between diabetes and pancreatic cancer, in particular, focusing on the role of the TGF‐β signaling pathway.
