The unfolding dynamics of ubiquitin were studied using a combination of x-ray solution scattering (XSS) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. The kinetic analysis of the XSS ubiquitin signals showed that the protein unfolds through a two-state process, independent of the presence of destabilizing salts. In order to characterize the ensemble of unfolded states in atomic detail, the experimental XSS results were used as a constraint in the MD simulations through the incorporation of x-ray scattering derived potential to drive the folded ubiquitin structure toward sampling unfolded states consistent with the XSS signals. We detail how biased MD simulations provide insight into unfolded states that are otherwise difficult to resolve and underscore how experimental XSS data can be combined with MD to efficiently sample structures away from the native state. Our results indicate that ubiquitin samples unfolded in states with a high degree of loss in secondary structure yet without a collapse to a molten globule or fully solvated extended chain. Finally, we propose how using biased-MD can significantly decrease the computational time and resources required to sample experimentally relevant nonequilibrium states. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: To examine the longitudinal impact and mechanism of peer network status on university students' hurdle running academic records. Methods: Conduct a follow-up survey in the hurdle teaching, an experimental class, and analyze the data using the latent growth model. Results: (a) The intercept and slope of peer network status positively predict the slope of academic records. (b) Peer network status influences the slope of academic records through the slope of learning engagement, and the intercept of learning engagement acts as a masking effect between the two. (c) Personality traits moderated the relationship between peer network status and the academic records slope. Solar fuels catalysis is a promising route to efficiently harvesting, storing, and utilizing abundant solar energy. To achieve this promise, however, molecular systems must be designed with sustainable components that can balance numerous photophysical and chemical processes. To that end, we report on the structural and photophysical characterization of a series of Cu(I)–anthraquinone-based electron donor–acceptor dyads. The dyads utilized a heteroleptic Cu(I) bis-diimine architecture with a copper(I) bis-phenanthroline chromophore donor and anthraquinone electron acceptor. We characterized the structures of the complexes using x-ray crystallography and density functional theory calculations and the photophysical properties via resonance Raman and optical transient absorption spectroscopy. The calculations and resonance Raman spectroscopy revealed that excitation of the Cu(I) metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (MLCT) transition transfers the electron to a delocalized ligand orbital. The optical transient absorption spectroscopy demonstrated that each dyad formed the oxidized copper–reduced anthraquinone charge-separated state. Unlike most Cu(I) bis-phenanthroline complexes where increasingly bulky substituents on the phenanthroline ligands lead to longer MLCT excited-state lifetimes, here, we observe a decrease in the long-lived charge-separated state lifetime with increasing steric bulk. The charge-separated state lifetimes were best explained in the context of electron-transfer theory rather than with the energy gap law, which is typical for MLCT excited states, despite the complete conjugation between the phenanthroline and anthraquinone moieties. In this study, the total ion yield near-edge x-ray absorption fine structure spectra of four similar peptoid molecules, which differ in the numbers and positions of methyl groups, were investigated experimentally and theoretically. At each excitation energy, the intensity and branching ratio of each ionic product were measured. At a few resonant excitation energies, a specific dissociation of the C–CO bond at the nitrogen and oxygen K-edges and of the N–CO bond at the carbon K-edge was dominant, which correlated well with the predicted destination antibonding orbitals of the core electron excitation. Immunotherapy has emerged as a pivotal modality in cancer treatment, with immune checkpoint inhibitors effectively combating malignancies by impeding crucial pathways within the immune system and stimulating patients' immune responses. Soluble forms of immune checkpoints exhibit a remarkable diversity and can be readily tracked in circulation, holding immense potential as biomarkers for cancer treatment. An increasing number of studies focused on soluble immune checkpoints in cancer have emerged thanks to technological advancements. In this systematic review, we comprehensively summarized the recent studies on soluble immune checkpoints in human cancer risk prediction, outcome prediction, therapeutic applications, and potential molecular mechanisms, which demonstrated the promising future of soluble immune checkpoints in clinical applications. The clinical relevance of soluble immune checkpoints has been recognized in multiple cancers, yet the therapeutic applications and mechanisms remain obscure. In online shopping for consumer electronics, information and physical flows are crucial determinants of consumer purchase intentions. This study examines these factors by integrating the Technology Acceptance Model with logistics service quality, analyzing the relationship between retailers and consumers in e-commerce. The focus is on how information and physical flows, as critical supply chain elements, affect consumers' decisions to purchase online. A structural model and machine learning algorithm with SHapley Additive exPlanations are employed to analyze the data, providing a comprehensive analysis of the Technology Acceptance Model in conjunction with logistics service quality. The findings reveal that attitude, perceived usefulness, and informativeness are the most influential factors affecting consumers' purchase intention. This study contributes to the understanding of consumer behavior in the context of e-commerce platforms for consumer electronic products by integrating the Technology Acceptance Model and logistics service quality theoretical perspectives and analyzing the data using innovative techniques, specifically, Shapley Additive Explanations. BACKGROUND: Odorant‐binding proteins (OBPs) in insects are key to detection and recognition of external chemical signals associated with survival. OBP7 in Spodoptera frugiperda's larval stage (SfruOBP7) may search for host plants by sensing plant volatiles, which are important sources of pest attractants and repellents. However, the atomic‐level basis of binding modes remains elusive. RESULTS: SfruOBP7 structure was constructed through homology modeling, and complex models of six plant volatiles ((E)‐2‐hexenol, α‐pinene, (Z)‐3‐hexenyl acetate, lauric acid, O‐cymene and 1‐octanol) and SfruOBP7 were obtained through molecular docking. To study the detailed interactions between the six plant volatile molecules and SfruOBP7, we conducted three 300 ns molecular dynamics simulations for each study object. The correlation coefficients between binding free energy obtained by molecular mechanics/generalized Born surface area together with solvated interaction energy methods and experimental values are 0.90 and 0.88, respectively, showing a good correlation. By comparing binding free energy along with interaction patterns between SfruOBP7 and the six volatile molecules, hotspot residues of SfruOBP7 when binding with different volatile molecules were determined. Hydrophobic interactions stemming from van der Waals interactions play a significant role in SfruOBP7 and these plant volatile systems. CONCLUSION: The optimized three‐dimensional structure of SfruOBP7 and its binding modes with six plant volatiles revealed their interactions, thus providing a means for estimating the binding energies of other plant volatiles. BACKGROUND: Folate is crucial for maintaining health, but humans are unable to synthesize folate and need to obtain it from food. Lactiplantibacillus plantarum can produce the necessary vitamin B for the human body, including folate. Whole genome sequencing technology can clarify the physiological characteristics of folate production in Lactiplantibacillus plantarum. In order to explore new Lactiplantibacillus plantarum that produce folate, the folate production and probiotic characteristics of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum ZFM55 isolated from infant feces were investigated, and whole genome sequencing was performed. RESULTS: The folate synthesis ability of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum ZFM55 were measured, and its total folate production was 299.72 ± 28.81 ng mL−1. Subsequently, its probiotic properties were explored. The antibacterial test showed that its inhibition zone diameter against Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella typhimurium was 15.5 ± 0.82 mm and 13.88 ± 0.98 mm, respectively. The tolerance test results indicated that it maintained good activity in simulated gastrointestinal tract and bile salt environments. In vitro intestinal simulation experiments had confirmed that Lactiplantibacillus plantarum ZFM55 can increase the abundance of beneficial bacteria such as Bifidobacteria in the intestine and inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria such as Escherichia_Shigella. Genomic sequencing indicated that the genetic material of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum ZFM55 contains one chromosome and three plasmids, and it has 20 genes related to folate synthesis, which explains its ability to produce folate. Due to a shortage of qualified professionals, many international cities have implemented a range of policies to attract skilled migrants and retain them for permanent work in destination cities, aiming to take advantage of the globalized competition. Despite being relatively understudied, the role of housing is of utmost importance, especially if skilled migrants can be attracted to work and live in destination cities permanently. This study conceptualized housing wellbeing as subjective housing feelings and objective housing outcomes, aiming to disentangle the relationship between housing wellbeing and settlement intentions. Based on the 2019 questionnaire survey in Guangzhou, this study found that skilled migrants who have become homeowners in Guangzhou have a higher propensity to settle in Guangzhou than those without homeownership. Also, this study found an inverted U-shaped relationship between the number of rooms and settlement intentions. Moreover, when the housing size per person is between 16 and 20 m2, housing size per person is positively associated with settlement intentions; nevertheless, when the housing size per person is below 16 m2 or above 20 m2, there is nil relation between housing size per person and settlement intentions. Finally, although skilled migrants are not satisfied with the current housing situation, they are still willing to settle in Guangzhou permanently. Environmental issues are often neglected in previous studies on site layout evaluation problems. To address this research gap, a comprehensive evaluation model is developed to evaluate construction site layout planning in this paper. The proposed evaluation model includes four aspects: (1) land use; (2) safety; (3) logistics; and (4) sustainability evaluations. To make the results of the evaluation more accurate, the evaluation model includes the subjective factors that need to be scored by the experts and the objective factors that could be gained from the inspections of the projects and the related materials. Then, the entropy weight method-based Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is chosen to solve the proposed multicriteria evaluation model. In this paper, the construction site layout planning for four different typical and practical cases, which include two commercial mixed buildings, a residential building, and a sewage treatment plant, is studied. The evaluation results proved that the proposed model is suitable to evaluate common types of construction, such as residential and commercial buildings but not specific functional types, such as the sewage treatment plant. In the information age, electronic documents (e-documents) have become a popular alternative to paper documents due to their lower costs, higher dissemination rates, and ease of knowledge sharing. However, digital copyright infringements occur frequently due to the ease of copying, which not only infringes on the rights of creators but also weakens their creative enthusiasm. Therefore, it is crucial to establish an e-document sharing system that enforces copyright protection. However, the existing centralized system has outstanding vulnerabilities, and the plagiarism detection algorithm used cannot fully detect the context, semantics, style, and other factors of the text. Digital watermark technology is only used as a means of infringement tracing. This paper proposes a decentralized framework for e-document sharing based on decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) and non-fungible token (NFT) in blockchain. The use of blockchain as a distributed credit base resolves the vulnerabilities inherent in traditional centralized systems. The e-document evaluation and plagiarism detection mechanisms based on the DAO model effectively address challenges in comprehensive text information checks, thereby promoting the enhancement of e-document quality. The mechanism for protecting and circulating e-document copyrights using NFT technology ensures effective safeguarding of users' e-document copyrights and facilitates e-document sharing. Moreover, recognizing the security issues within the DAO governance mechanism, we introduce an innovative optimization solution. Through experimentation, we validate the enhanced security of the optimized governance mechanism, reducing manipulation risks by up to 51%. Additionally, by utilizing evolutionary game analysis to deduce the equilibrium strategies of the framework, we discovered that adjusting the reward and penalty parameters of the incentive mechanism motivates creators to generate superior quality and unique e-documents, while evaluators are more likely to engage in assessments. Perovskite solar cells are emerging as one of the most promising energy sources for space applications. However, the displacement damage of solar cells in the space environment has gradually deteriorated their performance. In this work, the depth distribution of primary knocked-on atoms (PKA), non-ionizing energy loss and defect concentration of CsPbI3-based perovskite solar cells irradiated by 0.1–2000 MeV protons have been simulated by the Geant4 toolkit. It is found that the PKA yield shows an obvious step behavior near the layer boundary of the solar cell, and that the electron and hole transport layers have the high defect concentration whereas the CsPbI3-based perovskite layer owns the least PKA yield. In particular, in the geostationary orbit, the radiation damage effect caused by space protons to the solar cells is approximately equivalent to that irradiated by 0.18 MeV protons, which provides a good reference for ground irradiation experiments for CsPbI3-based perovskite solar cells. Background: Leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor B4 (LILRB4) plays a significant role in regulating immune responses. LILRB4 in microglia might influence the infiltration of peripheral T cells. However, whether and how LILRB4 expression aggravates brain damage after acute ischemic stroke remains unclear. This study investigates the role of LILRB4 in modulating the immune response and its potential protective effects against ischemic brain injury in mice. Methods and results: Microglia-specific LILRB4 conditional knockout (LILRB4-KO) and overexpression transgenic (LILRB4-TG) mice were constructed by a Cre-loxP system. Then, they were used to investigate the role of LILRB4 after ischemic stroke using a transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAO) mouse model. Spatial transcriptomics analysis revealed increased LILRB4 expression in the ischemic hemisphere. Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) identified microglia-cluster3, an ischemia-associated microglia subcluster with elevated LILRB4 expression in the ischemic brain. Flow cytometry and immunofluorescence staining showed increased CD8+ T cell infiltration into the brain in LILRB4-KO-tMCAO mice. Behavioral tests, cortical perfusion maps, and infarct size measurements indicated that LILRB4-KO-tMCAO mice had more severe functional deficits and larger infarct sizes compared to Control-tMCAO and LILRB4-TG-tMCAO mice. T cell migration assays demonstrated that LILRB4-KD microglia promoted CD8+ T cell recruitment and activation in vitro, which was mitigated by CCL2 inhibition and recombinant arginase-1 addition. The scRNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics identified CCL2 was predominantly secreted from activated microglia/macrophage and increased CCL2 expression in LILRB4-KD microglia, suggesting a chemokine-mediated mechanism of LILRB4. Conclusion: LILRB4 in microglia plays a crucial role in modulating the post-stroke immune response by regulating CD8+ T cell infiltration and activation. Knockout of LILRB4 exacerbates ischemic brain injury by promoting CD8+ T cell recruitment. Overexpression of LILRB4, conversely, offers neuroprotection. Introduction: The elderly population experiences more postoperative complications. A comprehensive geriatric assessment, which is multidimensional and coordinated, could help reduce these unfavorable outcomes. However, its effectiveness is still uncertain. Methods: We searched multiple online databases, including Medline, PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, CINAL, ProQuest, and Wiley, for relevant literature from their inception to October 2023. We included randomized trials of individuals aged 65 and older undergoing surgery. These trials compared comprehensive geriatric assessment with usual surgical care and reported on postoperative outcomes. Two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted data, and assessed the certainty of evidence from the identified articles. We conducted a meta-analysis using RevMan 5.3 to calculate the Odds Ratio (OR) and Mean Difference (MD) of the pooled data. Results: The study included 1325 individuals from seven randomized trials. Comprehensive geriatric assessment reduced the rate of postoperative delirium (28.5% vs. 37.0%; OR: 0.63; CI: 0.47–0.85; I2: 54%; P = 0.003) based on pooled data. However, it did not significantly improve other parameters such as length of stay (MD: -0.36; 95% CI: -0.376, 3.05; I2: 96%; P = 0.84), readmission rate (18.6% vs. 15.4%; OR: 1.26; CI: 0.86–1.84; I2: 0%; P = 0.24), and ADL function (MD: -0.24; 95% CI: -1.27, 0.19; I2: 0%; P = 0.64). Conclusions: Apart from reducing delirium, it is still unclear whether comprehensive geriatric assessment improves other postoperative outcomes. Background: The mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascade is crucial cell signal transduction mechanism that plays an important role in plant growth and development, metabolism, and stress responses. The MAPK cascade includes three protein kinases, MAPK, MAPKK, and MAPKKK. The three protein kinases mediate signaling to downstream response molecules by sequential phosphorylation. The MAPK gene family has been identified and analyzed in many plants, however it has not been investigated in alfalfa. Results: In this study, Medicago sativa MAPK genes (referred to as MsMAPKs) were identified in the tetraploid alfalfa genome. Eighty MsMAPKs were divided into four groups, with eight in group A, 21 in group B, 21 in group C and 30 in group D. Analysis of the basic structures of the MsMAPKs revealed presence of a conserved TXY motif. Groups A, B and C contained a TEY motif, while group D contained a TDY motif. RNA-seq analysis revealed tissue-specificity of two MsMAPKs and tissue-wide expression of 35 MsMAPKs. Further analysis identified MsMAPK members responsive to drought, salt, and cold stress conditions. Two MsMAPKs (MsMAPK70 and MsMAPK75) responds to salt and cold stresses; two MsMAPKs (MsMAPK60 and MsMAPK73) responds to cold and drought stresses; four MsMAPKs (MsMAPK1, MsMAPK33, MsMAPK64 and MsMAPK71) responds to salt and drought stresses; and two MsMAPKs (MsMAPK5 and MsMAPK7) responded to all three stresses. Conclusion: This study comprehensively identified and analysed the alfalfa MAPK gene family. Candidate genes related to abiotic stresses were screened by analysing the RNA-seq data. Extant studies have empirically tested the main two behavior responses following ostracism: prosocial or antisocial. Few studies have investigated the relationship between ostracism and social withdrawal. According to the temporal needthreat model and the self-verification theory, the present study aimed to examine the influence mechanism of ostracism on social withdrawal, especially the mediating role of self-esteem and the moderating role of rejection sensitivity. A total of 1,315 Chinese high school students (52.6% female) completed a written questionnaire. Results showed that ostracism was positively correlated with social withdrawal. Ostracism not only directly predicted social withdrawal, but also indirectly affected social withdrawal by threatening adolescents' selfesteem. High rejection sensitivity may help aggravate adolescents' self-esteem threaten perceive from ostracism. Adolescents with high rejection sensitivity felt a greater threat to self-esteem when ostracized. Findings suggest a new direction for understanding individuals' responses to ostracism. The closure of an ancient ocean basin via oceanic arc‐continent collision has two subduction styles with opposite polarities, which may proceed via subduction polarity reversal (SPR) or a subduction zone jump (SZJ). Interpreting the geometry or kinematic evolution of ancient collisional zones, especially the original subduction polarity, can be challenging. Here we used 2D thermo‐mechanical modeling to investigate the dynamic evolution process of SPR versus SZJ. Our modeling predicts different structural, topographic, magmatic, and basin histories for SPR and SZJ, which can be compared against, and help interpret, the geologic record past sites of oceanic closure during collisional orogens. Our results match geologic observations of past collisions in Kamchatka, eastern Russia, and the Banda Arc, eastern Indonesia, and thus our results can help effectively decode the evolutionary history of past arc‐continent collisions. Plain Language Summary: Determining the geometry and kinematic evolution of ancient subduction zones that experienced collision with an oceanic island arc can be challenging based on the surface geology along. Such collisions usually result in different dynamical evolution processes, namely subduction polarity reversal (SPR) or a subduction zone jump (SZJ). Here we conducted numerical modeling of oceanic island arcs that collide with a continental margin to explore the dynamic evolution process of different subduction styles. Our results reveal geologic indicators to decipher SPR versus SZJ in natural oceanic arc‐continent collisions, such as the distribution of thrust faults, metamorphic rocks, magmatism, crustal thickness, and topography. (1) Background: Mianning ham is a dry-cured ham from Southwest China, known for its distinct regional characteristics and delicious taste. It is particularly favored by consumers due to its safety, as no artificial nitrites are added during processing. The microbial changes during its different processing stages significantly influence the final product's flavor. This study aims to investigate the changes in microbial communities and flavor compounds across the nine stages of Mianning ham production, from raw material preparation to salting, drying, fermentation, and maturation, using 16S and ITS sequencing, as well as solid-phase microextraction–gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (SPME-GC-MS). The goal is to explore the correlation between these changes and provide a basis for process improvement from the initial raw material preparation. (2) Results: The microbiota of Mianning ham across different processing stages mainly consisted of Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, and Ascomycota. A total of 324 volatile compounds were identified, of which 27 were key contributors to the ham's flavor. Aldehydes contributed the most to flavor, with octanal, trans-2-nonenal, and trans, trans-2,4-decadienal being the most significant contributors at various stages. Mature Mianning ham, fermented for 1–3 years, exhibited fresh grass and earthy aromas, buttery and fatty flavors, and a distinctive roasted potato note. Correlation analysis revealed that Cobetia was the primary bacterial contributor to the main flavor compounds, especially prominent in the second year of fermentation. Among fungi, Yamadazyma and Aspergillus positively influenced several key aldehyde flavor compounds throughout the processing stages, significantly contributing to the flavor profile of Mianning ham. (3) Conclusions: Correlation analysis showed that the Mianning ham that matured for two years had the richest and most characteristic flavor. The positive and consistent impact of fungi on the ham's flavor suggests that they may warrant further research and application in Mianning ham production. This provides a theoretical basis for improving the flavor quality and enhancing the market competitiveness of Mianning ham. One of the key features of Mianning ham is its substantial accumulation of hydrocarbons, which surpasses that of hams from other regions in China. A notable characteristic of Mianning ham processing is the absence of artificially added nitrites as antioxidants and color fixatives. In this experiment, solid-phase microextraction–gas chromatography (SPME-GC-MS) and high-throughput sequencing were used to study the effects of adding Penicillium lanosum and adding the mixture of Penicillium lanosum and Staphylococcus equorum on the flavor and microbiology of Mianning ham. The results showed that the addition of the ferments resulted in an increase in the abundance of both the dominant bacterial phylum (Thick-walled Bacteria) and the dominant fungal phylum (Ascomycota). The variety of volatile flavor substances and key flavor substances increased after adding fermentation agents. A free amino acid analysis showed that hams from the Penicillium lanosum and Staphylococcus equorum group had significantly higher umami flavor amino acids than the control group and Penicillium lanosum group. Background: Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) and dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors (DPP4i) are important second-line treatments for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Patients taking SGLT2i have favorable cardiovascular outcomes via various mechanisms, including autonomic nervous system (ANS) modulation. This study aimed to use neuroelectrocardiography (neuECG) to test the effects of SGLT2i or DPP4i on the ANS. Methods: Patients with T2DM, who did not reach target hemoglobin (Hb)A1C levels despite metformin treatment, were enrolled. SGLT2i or DPP4i were prescribed randomly unless a compelling indication was present. NeuECG and heart rate were recorded for 10 min before and after a 3-month treatment. The patients were treated according to standard practice and the obtained data for skin sympathetic nerve activity (SKNA) and ANS entropy were analyzed offline. Results: We enrolled 96 patients, of which 49 received SGLT2i and 47 received DPP4i. The baseline parameters were similar between the groups. No adverse event was seen during the study period. In the burst analysis of SKNA at baseline, all parameters were similar. After the 3-month treatment, the firing frequency was higher in SGLT2i group (0.104 ± 0.045 vs 0.083 ± 0.033 burst/min, p < 0.05), with increased long firing duration (7.34 ± 3.66 vs 5.906 ± 2.921, p < 0.05) in 3-s aSKNA scale; the other parameters did not show any significant change. By symbolic entropy, the most complex patterns (Rank 3) were found to be significantly higher in SGLT2i-treated patients than in DDP4i-treated group (0.084 ± 0.028 vs 0.07 ± 0.024, p = 0.01) and the direction of change in Rank 3, after SGLT2i treatment, was opposite to that observed in the DDP4i group (0.012 ± 0.036 vs. -0.005 ± 0.037, p = 0.024). Our findings demonstrated the favorable autonomic modulation by SGLTi and the detrimental effects of DPP4i on ANS. Conclusion: We demonstrated the autonomic modulation by SGLTi and DPP4i using SKNA in patients with DM, which might provide insights into the favorable outcomes of SGLT2i. Background: While the association of chronological age with DNA methylation (DNAm) in whole blood has been extensively studied, the tissue-specificity of age-related DNAm changes remains an active area of research. Studies investigating the association of age with DNAm in tissues such as brain, skin, immune cells, fat, and liver have identified tissue-specific and non-specific effects, thus, motivating additional studies of diverse human tissue and cell types. Results: Here, we performed an epigenome-wide association study, leveraging DNAm data (Illumina EPIC array) from 961 tissue samples representing 9 tissue types (breast, lung, colon, ovary, prostate, skeletal muscle, testis, whole blood, and kidney) from the Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) project. We identified age-associated CpG sites (false discovery rate < 0.05) in 8 tissues (all except skeletal muscle, n = 47). This included 162,002 unique hypermethylated and 90,626 hypomethylated CpG sites across all tissue types, with 130,137 (80%) hypermethylated CpGs and 74,703 (82%) hypomethylated CpG sites observed in a single tissue type. While the majority of age-associated CpG sites appeared tissue-specific, the patterns of enrichment among genomic features, such as chromatin states and CpG islands, were similar across most tissues, suggesting common mechanisms underlying cellular aging. Consistent with previous findings, we observed that hypermethylated CpG sites are enriched in regions with repressed polycomb signatures and CpG islands, while hypomethylated CpG sites preferentially occurred in non-CpG islands and enhancers. To gain insights into the functional effects of age-related DNAm changes, we assessed the correlation between DNAm and local gene expression changes to identify age-related expression quantitative trait methylation (age-eQTMs). We identified several age-eQTMs present in multiple tissue-types, including in the CDKN2A, HENMT1, and VCWE regions. Introduction: Sepsis is associated with neurocognitive impairment among preterm neonates but less is known about term neonates with sepsis. This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to provide an update of neurocognitive outcomes including cognitive delay, visual impairment, auditory impairment, and cerebral palsy, among neonates with sepsis. Methods: We performed a systematic review of PubMed, Embase, CENTRAL and Web of Science for eligible studies published between January 2011 and March 2023. We included case–control, cohort studies and cross-sectional studies. Case reports and articles not in English language were excluded. Using the adjusted estimates, we performed random effects model meta-analysis to evaluate the risk of developing neurocognitive impairment among neonates with sepsis. Results: Of 7,909 studies, 24 studies (n = 121,645) were included. Majority of studies were conducted in the United States (n = 7, 29.2%), and all studies were performed among neonates. 17 (70.8%) studies provided follow-up till 30 months. Sepsis was associated with increased risk of cognitive delay [adjusted odds ratio, aOR 1.14 (95% CI: 1.01—1.28)], visual impairment [aOR 2.57 (95%CI: 1.14- 5.82)], hearing impairment [aOR 1.70 (95% CI: 1.02–2.81)] and cerebral palsy [aOR 2.48 (95% CI: 1.03–5.99)]. Conclusion: Neonates surviving sepsis are at a higher risk of poorer neurodevelopment. Aims To understand the compliance, influencing factors, and action path of family cardiac rehabilitation exercise prescriptions for children after congenital heart disease surgery. Methods and results A random sampling method was used to select 200 paediatric patients and their parents from a paediatric hospital in Shanghai. Among them, 57 cases (28.5%) of children's families followed the cardiac rehabilitation exercise prescription. Path analysis showed that peak oxygen uptake exerted a negative impact on the compliance of family cardiac-rehabilitation prescriptions for patients after congenital heart disease surgery through doctor–patient trust, with a standardized path coefficient of −0.246 (P = 0.001). Disease-related knowledge exerted a positive effect on the compliance of family cardiac-rehabilitation prescriptions for children after congenital heart surgery through doctor–patient trust, with a standardized path coefficient of 0.353 (P < 0.001). The dimension of friend support in social support had a direct positive effect on the compliance of family cardiac-rehabilitation prescriptions for children after cardiac surgery, with a standardized path coefficient of 0.641 (P = 0.006). Conclusion The compliance of cardiac rehabilitation exercise prescription in children with congenital heart disease is not good and is affected by many factors, and there is a complex path relationship between various factors; the kilogram oxygen consumption of the child, the disease-related knowledge of the caregiver, and social support all play important roles in the compliance of the child's family's health prescription. Obesity has become one of the most serious chronic diseases threatening human health. Its onset and progression are closely related to the intestinal microbiota, as disruption of the intestinal flora promotes the production of endotoxins and induces an inflammatory response. This study aimed to investigate the variations in the physicochemical properties of various refined tea seed oils and their impact on intestinal microbiota disorders induced by a high-fat diet (HFD) through dietary intervention. In the present study, C57BL/6J mice on a HFD were randomly divided into three groups: HFD, T-TSO, and N-TSO. T-TSO and N-TSO mice were given traditionally refined and optimized tea seed oil for 12 weeks. The data revealed that tea seed oil obtained through degumming at 70 °C, deacidification at 50 °C, decolorization at 90 °C, and deodorization at 180 °C (at 0.06 MPa for 1 h) effectively removed impurities while minimizing the loss of active ingredients. Additionally, the optimized tea seed oil mitigated fat accumulation and inflammatory responses resulting from HFD, and reduced liver tissue damage in comparison to traditional refining methods. More importantly, N-TSO can serve as a dietary supplement to enhance the diversity and abundance of intestinal microbiota, increasing the presence of beneficial bacteria (norank_f__Muribaculaceae, Lactobacillus, and Bacteroides) while reducing pathogenic bacteria (Alistipes and Mucispirillum). Therefore, in HFD-induced obese C57BL/6J mice, N-TSO can better ameliorate obesity compared with a T-TSO diet, which is promising in alleviating HFD-induced intestinal microbiota disorders. The summer Asian westerly jet (AWJ)'s shifting in latitudes is one important characteristic of its variability and has great impact on the East Asian summer climate. Based on the observed and reanalyzed datasets from the Hadley Center Sea Ice and Sea Surface Temperature dataset (HadISST), the Japanese 55-year reanalysis (JRA-55), and the fifth generation of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts atmospheric reanalysis (ERA5), this study investigates the relationship between the spring tripole North Atlantic SST (TNAT) anomalies and the summer meridional shift of the AWJ (MSJ) for the period of 1958–2020. Through the method of correlation analysis and regression analysis, we show that the '+ - +' TNAT anomalies in spring could induce a northward shift of the AWJ in the following summer. However, such a climatic effect of the spring TNAT anomalies on the MSJ is unstable, exhibiting an evident interdecadal strengthening since the early 1990s. Further analysis reveals that this is related to a strengthened intensity of the spring TNAT anomalies in the most recent three decades. Compared to the early epoch (1958–1993), the stronger spring TNAT anomalies in the post epoch (1994–2020) could cause a stronger pan-tropical climate response until the following summer through a series of ocean–atmosphere interactions. Through Gill responses, the resultant more prominent cooling in the central Pacific in response to the '+ - +' TNAT anomalies induces a pan-tropical cooling in the upper troposphere, which weakens the poleward gradient of the tropospheric temperature over subtropical Asia. As a result, the AWJ shifts northward via a thermal wind effect. By contrast, in the early epoch, the spring TNAT anomalies are relatively weaker, inducing weaker pan-tropical ocean–atmosphere interactions and thus less change in the meridional shit of the summer AWJ. Our results highlight a strengthened lagged effect of the spring TNAT anomalies on the following summer MSJ and have important implications for the seasonal climate predictability over Asia. The Qilian Mountains (QLM) act as an "ecological security barrier" in western China, impacting the downstream ecosystems and water resource utilization. However, the hydrological evolution of the QLM during the last millennium remains controversial, and their ecological response to climate change is poorly understood. We present a pH record based on the brGDGTs (branched glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers) of a 14C-dated sediment core from Lake Maozangtianchi in the QLM. We combined this record with element contents determined by scanning XRF and grain size to reconstruct the summer monsoon precipitation variability over the last 900 years. We also reconstructed the history of eco-environmental changes from the total n -alkane contents. On centennial scales, local precipitation exhibited peaks during the intervals of 1100‒1300 CE and 1750‒2000 CE, as well as between 1400‒1750 CE. Additionally, abrupt decreases in precipitation occurred during the transition from the Medieval Warm Period (MWP) to the Little Ice Age (LIA) (1300‒1400 CE). This pattern coherent with other hydroclimatic records from the monsoonal margin of northern China, likely resulted from the combined impact of the El Niño‒Southern Oscillation on tropical Pacific sea-surface temperatures and the meridional shift of the Intertropical Convergence Zone. In addition, a coupled relationship between plant biomass in the Lake Maozangtianchi watershed and fluctuations in monsoon precipitation was observed, with higher plant biomass during 1100‒1200 CE, 1750‒1900 CE, and 1950‒2000 CE, and lower biomass during 1200‒1400 CE and 1900‒1950 CE. However, during 1400‒1750 CE, plant biomass exhibited a minor increasing trend, deviating from its usual correlation with monsoon precipitation. Despite precipitation usually being the primary climatic factor influencing plant biomass in the QLM, during the LIA, nutrients transported by dust and decreased evapotranspiration became pivotal in bolstering plant growth. The effects of oil type, emulsifier type, and emulsion particle size on the texture, gel strength, and rheological properties of SPI emulsion‐filled gel (SPI‐FG) and TFSP emulsion‐filled gel (TFSP‐FG) were investigated. Using soybean protein isolate or sodium caseinate as emulsifiers, emulsions with cocoa butter replacer (CBR), palm oil (PO), virgin coconut oil (VCO), and canola oil (CO) as oil phases were prepared. These emulsions were filled into SPI and TFSP gel substrates to prepare emulsion‐filled gels. Results that the hardness and gel strength of both gels increased with increasing emulsion content when CBR was used as the emulsion oil phase. However, when the other three liquid oils were used as the oil phase, the hardness and gel strength of TFSP‐FG decreased with the increasing of emulsion content, but those of SPI‐FG increased when SPI was used as emulsifier. Additionally, the hardness and gel strength of both TFSP‐FG and SPI‐FG increased with the decreasing of mean particle size of emulsions. Rheological measurements were consistent with textural measurements and found that compared with SC, TFSP‐FG, and SPI‐FG showed higher G′ values when SPI was used as emulsifier. Confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) observation showed that the distribution and stability of emulsion droplets in TFSP‐FG and SPI‐FG were influenced by the oil type, emulsifier type and emulsion particle size. SPI‐stabilized emulsion behaved as active fillers in SPI‐FG reinforcing the gel matrix; however, the gel matrix of TFSP‐FG still had many void pores when SPI‐stabilized emulsion was involved. Glycolysis is a shared feature in various cancers including lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). Testis Expressed 19 (TEX19) is correlated with cancer progression. But its effect on LUAD remains an unanswered question. The focus of our study was primarily to investigate how TEX19 works exactly in LUAD. We first downloaded mRNA data from TCGA-LUAD and performed differential expression analysis. Then, we performed a Kaplan–Meier analysis to analyze the relationship between mRNA expression and patients' prognoses. hTFtarget database was utilized for the prediction of upstream transcription factors of mRNA. Next, qRT-PCR was employed for detecting TEX19 and Forkhead box A1 (FOXA1) expression. Western blot was adopted to detect the expression of glycolysis-related proteins. We also used CCK-8, colony formation, and flow cytometry assays to detect cell viability, proliferation, and apoptosis. Seahorse XF Extracellular Flux Analyzers were introduced to analyze extracellular acidification rate (ECAR) and oxygen consumption rate (OCR). Detection kits were used to detect pyruvate, lactate, citric acid, and malic acid. TEX19 was highly expressed in LUAD tissues. Real-time quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) assay showed that TEX19 was significantly overexpressed in LUAD cell lines compared with normal bronchial epithelial cells BEAS-2B. Knockdown of TEX19 remarkably inhibited cell activity and proliferation, and promoted cell apoptosis, TEX19 was enriched in the glycolytic pathway. Meanwhile, the knockdown of TEX19 significantly hampered the contents of pyruvate, lactate, citric acid, and malic acid. The bioinformatics analysis, dual luciferase reporter experiment, and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assay showed that FOXA1 was bound with TEX19. FOXA1 had a high expression level in LUAD. The rescue assay demonstrated that FOXA1, by activating TEX19 expression, enhanced glycolysis and proliferation and inhibited apoptosis of LUAD cells. The climate change in the Qaidam Basin has significant impacts on local humans and ecological environment. However, the humidity variation and relationship between climate factors in the Qaidam Basin remain insufficient. Here we study the modern climate change in the Qaidam Basin. The mean annual temperature in the Qaidam Basin has increased rapidly by 0.5 °C/10a between 1959 and 2022, exhibiting cycles of 9.1 a and 3.2 a. Concurrently, the pattern of precipitation variations has displayed an upward trend, with a rate of increase amounting to 9.2 mm/10a and a cycle of 2.5 a. The Qaidam Basin has witnessed a considerable increase in temperature since 1977, as indicated by the Mann–Kendall mutation test. Within the Qaidam Basin, the mutation point at which precipitation transitioned from a lesser amount to a more volume occurred in 2001. Furthermore, a reduction in the variation of evaporation was observed between 1959 and 2003, possibly attributed to decreased sunshine and wind speed within the basin. The moist coefficient (precipitation/evaporation) and absolute humidity serve as direct indicators of the level of humidity in the environment. The moist coefficient has displayed an upward trend, accompanied by a corresponding increase in absolute humidity. The lake area and vegetation coverage are indirect indicators that reflect the level of humidity in the environment. In the Qaidam Basin, the lakes have expanded in surface area and there has been a noticeable increase in vegetation coverage. Collectively, these indicators unambiguously show that the Qaidam Basin is undergoing a process of increased moisture levels. Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is a naturally occurring compound synthesized by mitochondria and widely distributed in both animal and plant tissues. It primarily influences cellular metabolism and oxidative stress networks through its antioxidant properties and is an important drug for treating metabolic diseases associated with oxidative damage. Nevertheless, research indicates that the mechanism by which ALA affects cancer cells is distinct from that observed in normal cells, exhibiting pro-oxidative properties. Therefore, this review aims to describe the main chemical and biological functions of ALA in the cancer environment, including its mechanisms and effects in tumor prevention and anticancer activity, as well as its role as an adjunctive drug in cancer therapy. We specifically focus on the interactions between ALA and various carcinogenic and anti-carcinogenic pathways and discuss ALA's pro-oxidative capabilities in the unique redox environment of cancer cells. Additionally, we elaborate on ALA's roles in nanomedicine, hypoxia-inducible factors, and cancer stem cell research, proposing hypotheses and potential explanations for currently unresolved issues. Chronic cerebral ischemia (CCI) is a common neurological disorder, characterized by progressive cognitive impairment. Acupoint catgut embedding (ACE) represents a modern acupuncture form that has shown neuroprotective effects; nevertheless, its effects on CCI and the mechanisms remain largely unknown. Here, we aimed to explore the therapeutic action of ACE in CCI-induced cognitive impairment and its mechanisms. The cognitive function of CCI rats was determined using Morris water maze test, and histopathological changes in the brain were assessed through hematoxylin–eosin (HE) staining. To further explore the molecular mechanisms, the expression levels of oxidative stress markers and the Ang II/AT1R/NOX axis-associated molecules in the hippocampus were evaluated using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), western blotting, and immunohistochemistry. Here, we observed that ACE treatment alleviated cognitive dysfunction and histopathological injury in CCI rats. Intriguingly, candesartan (an AT1R blocker) enhanced the beneficial effects of ACE on ameliorating cognitive impairment in CCI rats. Mechanistically, ACE treatment blocked the Ang II/AT1R/NOX pathway and subsequently suppressed oxidative stress, thus mitigating cognitive impairment in CCI. Based on the receiving process of super-large diameter shield, this paper expounds the solution methods of super-large diameter slurry shield in the aspects of end reinforcement, receiving shaft plugging wall construction, receiving base construction, single-layer glass fiber reinforced concrete tunnel door breaking, penetration measurement, receiving tunneling and grouting, tunnel door plugging, etc., including shield posture control, tunneling parameter control, grouting control, segment re-tightening The key technologies of the super-large diameter shield receiving are analyzed from several aspects of the temporary plugging of the tunnel portal. The mortar receiving base is set to provide sufficient reaction force for the shield receiving to ensure the safety of the shield tunneling. The synchronous grouting and secondary grouting closing is employed to improve the reinforcement quality, strengthen the segment re-tightening and ensure the stability of the shield tunnel structure strength. For the last five rings, special perforated ring segments are used to improve the grouting effect. Then, the drainage and sand removal is carried out, and the reinforcement framework and shotcrete are constructed from top to bottom to block the tunnel door, reduce the exposure time of the tunnel door without blocking, ensure the construction safety of the tunnel door, and other measures are taken to ensure the safety of the underwater reception. Kuwanon C is a unique flavonoid found in the mulberry family, characterized by two isopentenyl groups. While previous research has focused on various properties of kuwanon C, such as antioxidant, hypoglycemic, antimicrobial, food preservation, skin whitening, and nematode lifespan extension, little attention has been given to its potential role in oncological diseases. In this study, we investigate the antitumor effect of kuwanon C in cervical cancer cells and elucidate its specific mechanism of action. We assessed the antitumor effects of kuwanon C using various experimental techniques, including cell proliferation assay, wound healing assays, EdU 488 proliferation assay, mitochondrial membrane potential assay, ROS level assay, cell cycle, apoptosis analysis, and studies on kuwanon C target sites and molecular docking. The results revealed that kuwanon C significantly impacted the cell cycle progression of HeLa cells, disrupted their mitochondrial membrane potential, and induced a substantial increase in intracellular ROS levels. Moreover, kuwanon C exhibited notable anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic effects on HeLa cells, surpassing the performance of commonly used antitumor drugs such as paclitaxel and cisplatin. Notably, kuwanon C demonstrated superior efficacy while also being more easily accessible compared to paclitaxel. Our study demonstrates that kuwanon C exerts potent antitumor effects by its interaction with the mitochondrial and endoplasmic reticulum membranes, induces a significant production of ROS, disrupts their normal structure, inhibits cell cycle progression, and stimulates apoptotic signaling pathways, ultimately resulting in the death of HeLa tumor cells. Identifying the effect of precipitation, vegetation cover and underlying surface conditions on run‐off and soil loss is essential for understanding the mechanism of water erosion. The study site is located in the Shiqiaopu watershed of Hubei Province, China. The long‐term (2017–2021) monitoring data for this study included rainfall characteristics, antecedent soil moisture, run‐off and soil loss in four run‐off plots with four vegetation cover types (tea garden, soybean and rape, peanut and rape, and vetiver zizanioides). K‐means clustering and discriminant analysis were used to classify rainfall patterns. The improved redundancy analysis was used to quantitatively explore the relative importance of rainfall characteristics, vegetation cover and antecedent soil moisture to run‐off and soil loss. The results showed that the rainfall patterns were mainly divided into three categories: A (medium duration, small rainfall, medium rain intensity, high frequency), B (long duration, large rainfall, light rain intensity, low frequency) and C (short duration, medium rainfall, heavy rain intensity, medium frequency). The average run‐off coefficient, run‐off depth of different rainfall patterns were C > B > A, and the cumulative run‐off depth and soil loss under the A rainfall pattern were the largest. For the run‐off plots with four vegetation cover types, vetiver zizanioides had the best effect on run‐off and sediment reduction, while peanut and rape had the worst effect. The driving factor that contributed the most to the run‐off depth was vegetation cover (19.36%), and rainfall characteristics explained the most to the soil loss (11.65%). We also found that although antecedent soil moisture had a small explanation rate for soil loss, it was significantly correlated with the run‐off depth under the vegetation cover of the tea garden. This article mainly tackles the finite-time time-varying formation tracking (Fin-TVFT) problem and fixed-time time-varying formation tracking (Fix-TVFT) problem of multiple Euler-Lagrange systems (MELSs) subject to the external disturbances under the directed interaction topology. The distributed estimator-based hierarchical control (EBHC) algorithms are respectively formulated to achieve the foregoing problems. Note that the settling time of Fin-TVFT depends on the initial values, but the convergence time of Fix-TVFT is independent of the initial conditions. According to the Lyapunov stability analysis, several sufficient conditions for accomplishing the Fin-TVFT and Fix-TVFT are derived. The environmental disturbances acting on marine surface vessels are naturally stochastic. The control performance may be seriously deteriorated if the stochastic sea loads are ignored in control design. In this paper, the trajectory tracking control problem for uncertain underactuated surface vessels exposed to stochastic disturbances under prescribed performance constraints was addressed. By introducing a novel tan-type quartic barrier Lyapunov function (BLF) into the control design, such that (i) the Hessian terms induced by stochastic differentiation rule can be handled, and (ii) the prescribed transient and steady-state performance of tracking errors in probability can be guaranteed. To overcome the difficulties caused by underactuation and nonzero off-diagonal terms in system matrices, we develop a transverse function control method to introduce an additional controller. An important role of the design method is that it is not necessary to prove the stability of the sway dynamics separately in theory. Background: Bone morphogenetic protein 9 (BMP9) is a hepatokine that plays a pivotal role in the progression of liver diseases. Moreover, an increasing number of studies have shown that BMP9 is associated with hepatopulmonary syndrome (HPS), but its role in HPS is unclear. Here, we evaluated the influence of CBDL on BMP9 expression and investigated potential mechanisms of BMP9 signalling in HPS. Methods: We profiled the circulating BMP9 levels in common bile duct ligation‐induced HPS rat model, and then investigated the effects and mechanisms of HPS rat serum on pulmonary vascular endothelial dysfunction in rat model, as well as in primarily cultured rat pulmonary microvascular endothelial cells. Results: Our data revealed that circulating BMP9 levels were significantly increased in the HPS rats compared to control group. Besides, the elevated BMP9 in HPS rat serum was not only crucial for promoting endothelial cell proliferation and tube formation through the activin receptor‐like kinase1 (ALK1)‐Endoglin‐Smad1/5/9 pathway, but also important for accumulation of monocytes. Treatments with ALK1‐Fc or silencing ALK1 expression to inhibit the BMP9 signalling pathway effectively eliminated these effects. In agreement with these observations, increased circulating BMP9 was associated with an increase in lung vessel density and accumulation of pro‐angiogenic monocytes in the microvasculature in HPS rats. Conclusions: This study provided evidence that elevated circulating BMP9, secreted from the liver, promote pulmonary angiogenesis in HPS rats via ALK1‐Endoglin‐Smad1/5/9 pathway. Aims To compare the diagnostic performance of 360° anterior segment optical coherence tomography assessment by applying normative percentile cutoffs versus iris trabecular contact (ITC) for detecting gonioscopic angle closure. Methods In this multicentre study, 394 healthy individuals were included in the normative dataset to derive the age-specific and angle location-specific normative percentiles of angle open distance (A0D500) and trabecular iris space area (TISA500) which were measured every 10° for 360°. 119 healthy participants and 170 patients with angle closure by gonioscopy were included in the test dataset to investigate the diagnostic performance of three sets of criteria for detection of gonioscopic angle closure: (1) the 10th and (2) the 5th percentiles of A0D500/TISA500, and (3) ITC (ie, A0D500/ TISA500=0 mm/mm²). The number of angle locations with angle closure defined by each set of the criteria for each eye was used to generate the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve for the discrimination between gonioscopic angle closure and open angle. Results Of the three sets of diagnostic criteria examined, the area under the ROC curve was greatest for the 10th percentile of AOD500 (0.933), whereas the ITC criterion AOD500=0 mm showed the smallest area under the ROC (0.852) and the difference was statistically significant with or without adjusting for age and axial length (p<0.001). The criterion ≥90° of AOD500 below the 10th percentile attained the best sensitivity 87.6% and specificity 84.9% combination for detecting gonioscopic angle closure. Conclusions Applying the normative percentiles of angle measurements yielded a higher diagnostic performance than ITC for detecting angle closure on gonioscopy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Ferroptosis, characterized by lipid peroxidation, plays a significant role in the pathogenesis of acute pancreatitis (AP). While sterol O-acyltransferase 2 (Soat2) is known for its crucial regulatory role in cholesterol homeostasis, its involvement in the development of AP remains unreported. We conducted this study to identify the pivotal role of Soat2 in AP using transcriptomic databases. Subsequently, we confirmed its alterations through both in vitro and in vivo experimental models. Furthermore, we performed intervention with the Soat2 inhibitor avasimibe to evaluate pancreatic tissue pathology and serum enzymatic levels and observe inflammatory cell infiltration through immunohistochemistry. Additionally, changes in indicators related to ferroptosis were also observed. The results showed that in the AP mouse model, the protein and mRNA levels of Soat2 were significantly increased. Following avasimibe administration, there was a decrease in serum amylase levels, reduction in pancreatic tissue pathological damage, and attenuation of inflammatory cell infiltration. Furthermore, avasimibe administration resulted in downregulation of ferroptosis-related indicators. Due to a shortage of labor, the harvesting of fruits and vegetables faces significant challenges. Soft robotic hands, adaptable to variable environments due to their high-curvature bending and twisting, have garnered widespread attention and usage. However, their application in Sichuan pepper picking remains largely unexplored. Therefore, this study proposes a picking soft robotic hand composed of a rigid skeleton and flexible skin for pepper harvesting. Through analyzing the characteristics of peppers, the structure of the robotic hand is determined. Inflatable airbags are employed to drive finger bending, utilizing a rotating–twisting method for Sichuan pepper picking. Structural parameters influencing the bending angle of the airbags were determined through theoretical analysis and validated via simulation. Optimal parameter combinations for the airbags were obtained through response surface experiments to establish the robotic hand model. To assess the feasibility of the robotic hand's movement, dynamic simulations were conducted using R D (RecurDyn V9R2) software. Subsequently, a discrete element model of Sichuan pepper clusters was established and coupled with the simulation of the Sichuan pepper picking process. The results indicate that the robotic hand does not cause damage to the Sichuan peppers during picking. Finally, field tests were conducted in pepper orchards to validate the success rate of the robotic hand in picking, yielding an 85% success rate and a 0.3% damage rate. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to quickly handle the massive computation tasks of production devices and monitoring devices in industrial production and ensure the safety and efficiency of industrial production. This article considers the Joint Task Offloading and Resource Allocation (JTORA) optimization problem, which is measured by the weighted sum of task completion time and energy consumption, and includes the joint optimization of task offloading decision, uplink power allocation, and computing resource allocation. Also further decompose the JTORA problem into (i) a Resource Allocation (RA) problem with fixed task offloading decision and (ii) a Task Offloading (TO) problem that optimizes the optimal-value function corresponding to the RA problem for hierarchical optimization. This paper adopts Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) algorithm to solve the RA problem and a heuristic algorithm for the TO problem. Simulation experimental results show that the proposed JTORA optimization scheme can significantly reduce the production time and device energy consumption in industrial production over traditional approaches. Entoloma is a relatively large genus in Agaricales, with a rich diversity of species and a wide distribution. In this study, seven new species of Entoloma belonging to the subgenus Cubospora have been identified based on morphological and phylogenetic evidence from subtropical regions of China. Morphologically, E. excavatum is characterized by the yellow, depressed, estriate pileus and medium-sized basidiospores; E. lacticolor is recognized by the white and papillate pileus, adnexed lamellae, and presence of clamp connections; E. phlebophyllum is identified by the pink-to-maroon and estriate pileus, and lamellae with lateral veins; E. rufomarginatum differs from other cuboid-spored species by the lamellae edge which is red-brown-underlined; E. subcycneum is characterized by the white pileus and carneogriseum-type cheilocystidia; E. submurrayi is recognized by the pileus margin exceeding the lamellae, 2-layered pileipellis with hyphae of different widths, and the presence of clamp connections; E. tomentosum is identified by the tomentose pileus, heterogeneous lamella edge, and versiform cheilocystidia with brown-yellow contents. Their distinct taxonomic status is confirmed by the positions of the seven new species in both the ITS + LSU and 3-locus (LSU, tef-1α, rpb2) phylogenetic trees.
