This research investigates the impact of algorithmic management on worker behaviors, focusing on workers' commitment to service quality and referral tendencies. Drawing upon the job demands‐resources model, we argue that high levels of algorithmic management could create hindrance demands that impede service quality and demotivate referral behaviors. We propose that high workload, as a challenge demand, buffers the negative effects of algorithmic management on worker outcomes. We find support for our proposed research model in an experiment with a sample of 1362 platform‐based food‐delivery riders. We also conduct a qualitative study with 21 riders, which provides a more nuanced understanding of how algorithmic management affects workers' attitudes, behaviors, and referral tendencies. Using a cross-country setting, we document differences in the relation between earnings quality and the two components of trading volume around earnings announcements, one related to differential interpretation of the earnings signal and the other related to pre-event differential information precision. We find that in countries with stronger investor protection, less corrupt governments, and more liquid stock markets, a noisier earnings signal increases differential interpretation of the earnings signal but decreases investors' incentive for information acquisition before earnings announcements, leading to lower pre-event differential information precision. However, these trading patterns flip in countries with weaker investor protection, more corrupt governments, and less liquid stock markets. We also find that institutional investors in countries with stronger institutions are likely to benefit more from their superior information processing skills, leading to more information acquisition both at and before earnings announcements. With the global expansion of business operations, many U.S. corporations now operate internationally. While these multinational corporations (MNCs) rely on information about their operations to allocate resources, this information is likely dispersed within the firm, leading to internal information asymmetry between top executives and divisional managers. Meanwhile, audits of these geographically dispersed MNCs are challenging, and parts of these audits are sometimes outsourced to local foreign auditors who have no experience serving as opinion-issuing auditors for U.S. issuers ("inexperienced component auditors"). In this article, we examine whether involving such inexperienced component auditors is associated with MNCs' internal information environment. We find that, relative to a matched control sample, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issuers with the participation of inexperienced component auditors have higher internal information asymmetry and lower internal capital allocation efficiency. The structures of metal nanoparticles (NPs) significantly influence their catalytic reactivities. Recent in situ experimental observations of dramatic structural changes in NPs underscore the need to establish a dynamic structure–property relationship that accounts for the reconstruction of NPs in reactive environments. Here, we present the MOSP, a free and open-source graphical user interface (GUI) package designed to simulate the structure and reactivity of metal NPs under operando conditions. MOSP integrates two models: the multiscale structure reconstruction model predicting equilibrium metal NP structures under specific reaction conditions and the kinetic Monte Carlo model simulating the reaction dynamics. This combination allows for the exploration of the dynamic structure–property relationships of NPs. MOSP enhances user accessibility through its intuitive GUI, facilitating easy input, post-processing, and visualization of simulation data. This study incorporates fairness concern in a low-carbon supply chain coordination mechanism where a single manufacturer sells its product to consumers through a single retailer. We develop four different scenarios of the Stackelberg master-slave game utility model—both members are neutral (NN), the manufacturer (FN) or retailer (NF) has fairness concern, and both are not neutral (FF), where the Nash bargaining fairness reference is leveraged to capture the impact of fairness preference on low-carbon supply chain optimisation decision-making profits, level of carbon emission reduction, warranty period, and revenue-sharing. Finally, numerical studies are conducted to quantify the impact of the Nash bargaining fairness concern. Research shows that: (1) fairness concern made it worse for the retailer but beneficial for the manufacturer and the system. (2) fairness concern causes a reduction in the level of carbon emission reduction and warranty period. However, the reduction of carbon emission reduction trading price and a certain range of revenue sharing effectively reduces the impact of fairness concern on members. (3) The revenue-sharing contract effectively reduces the negative impacts of fairness concern on supply chain members. In terahertz (THz) wireless communication systems, non-diffraction vortex beams carrying an orbital angular momentum (OAM) have attracted extensive attention due to their ability to transmit information over long distances with high capacity. However, existing metasurfaces can only generate a single OAM mode non-diffracting vortex beam at reflection space for circular polarization (CP) incidence, limiting practical applications. To address this issue, we propose and design a polarization-frequency multiplexing transmissive THz metasurface to realize multi-mode non-diffracting vortex beams at linear polarization (LP) incidence. The meta-atom of this metasurface is composed of three anisotropic rectangular metallic structures embedded in vanadium dioxide (VO2) square rings, two circular aperture metallic grid layers, and four dielectric layers. By reasonably designing the size of the metal patch and the state of VO2, the designed metasurface can achieve polarization multiplexing and frequency multiplexing for LP incidence. Based on the phase response of the proposed meta-atoms, the transmissive metasurface can implement not only multi-mode non-diffraction vortex beams but also their space separation at two frequency ranges of 0.80–0.90 THz and 1.50–1.80 THz by changing the state of VO2. Therefore, the proposed multiple multiplexing metasurfaces can effectively shape the wavefront of non-diffraction vortex beams, which have broad application prospects in 6G THz communication. We derive an analytic expression of the non-equilibrium Fermi's golden rule (NE-FGR) expression for a Holstein–Tavis–Cumming Hamiltonian, a universal model for many molecules collectively coupled to the optical cavity. These NE-FGR expressions capture the full-time-dependent behavior of the rate constant for transitions from polariton states to dark states. The rate is shown to be reduced to the well-known frequency domain-based equilibrium Fermi's golden rule (E-FGR) expression in the equilibrium and collective limit and is shown to retain the same scaling with the number of sites in non-equilibrium and non-collective cases. We use these NE-FGR to perform population dynamics with a time-non-local and time-local quantum master equation and obtain accurate population dynamics from the initially occupied upper or lower polariton states. Furthermore, NE-FGR significantly improves the accuracy of the population dynamics when starting from the lower polariton compared to the E-FGR theory, highlighting the importance of the non-Markovian behavior and the short-time transient behavior in the transition rate constant. Does parents' status motivation affect their educational product choices for their children? Across seven studies, the authors find that when parents believe that society provides enough opportunities for individuals to achieve higher social status through hard work (i.e., high social mobility), they prioritize the status advancement goal and prefer products that help maximize a child's strengths. However, when parents believe that even if one works hard, the opportunity to climb up the social ladder is limited (i.e., low social mobility), they focus on maintaining their current status and prefer products that help remedy a child's weaknesses. Moreover, the research demonstrates that this effect diminishes when the strength and weakness are in the domains that have low relevance to status. Finally, the research shows that when parents believe that children with specialties are more likely to succeed, they prefer products for maximizing strengths, whereas when they believe that well-rounded children are more likely to succeed, they prefer products for remedying weaknesses, regardless of their perception of social mobility. Digital Twins (DTs) hold significant promise in addressing the challenges faced by food supply chains (FSCs). This paper aims to provide critical insights into the potential for Digital Twins to meet the key challenges of the FSC and establish a comprehensive conceptual framework for their implementation. Following a systematic literature review (SLR), the study identified 81 peer-reviewed, high-quality papers published over the last decade (2012–2023). The typology-driven thematic analysis emphasises the emergent nature of DTs within FSCs, highlighting their key characteristics including monitoring, real-time simulation, and scenario analysis. The identified characteristics, applications, implementation drivers and barriers of Digital Twin form the basis for a novel conceptual framework for implementing DTs in FSCs. Leveraging insights from Innovation Adoption Theory and the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, the study outlines a structured five step implementation process divided into three stages. Notably, technology assessment and performance evaluation emerge as two innovative steps necessary for the successful implementation of DTs specifically, not previously considered by the theory. The study identifies promising avenues for future research. In this study, we integrated an Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) channel with a superlattice of HfO2/ZrO2 (HZO) under low-thermal-budget microwave annealing to produce nearly wake-up-free ferroelectric capacitors. To eliminate the impact of trap-charges during the atomic layer deposition process, we conducted H2 plasma treatment to eliminate leak defects induced by carbon contamination and maintain neutrality to achieve high-quality IGZO/HZO interfaces, confirmed by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The H2 plasma treatment improved polarization (Pr) and coercive field (Ec), reaching 2Pr: 40 μC/cm2 and Ec: 2.33 MV/cm, enabling a low-power writing speed of 30 ns with eight states (three bits per cell). The defect engineering method ensures endurance of up to 108 cycles and retains ten-year data storage at 90 °C. This work reports heavy ion-irradiation effects in polycrystalline Fe3O4. For this matter, Fe/Fe3O4 heterostructures were irradiated in situ in a transmission electron microscopy with 1 MeV Kr ions at 50 K. Evidence of cubic to monoclinic transformation (a.k.a Verwey transition) was recorded in some magnetite grains upon cooling the sample (around 90 K); however, most of the oxide grains retain their cubic spinel structure. Irradiation effects were analyzed in the cubic phase up to a maximum dose of 38 dpa without the sign of amorphization. The extinction of first-order reflections was recorded at doses below 1 dpa, indicating the formation of a new (metastable) phase with half of the lattice parameters compared to the unirradiated Fe3O4 crystal. The formation of the new crystalline phase, which also presents a high resistance to amorphization, is related to the disordering of the cation lattice and the high mobility of the cation interstitials. The metastable phase readily recovers around 225 K during the natural warming of the sample from 50 K to room temperature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Although K0.5Na0.5NbO3 (KNN) possesses large maximum polarization and relatively high breakdown strength, the large remnant polarization constrains their practical applications as energy storage materials. In this work, through multi-element doping, (K0.5−0.5xNa0.5−0.5xBix)(Nb1−xSn0.2xZn0.6xTa0.2x)O3 relaxor ferroelectrics were prepared. As the superparaelectric states (SPE) were adjusted to room temperature, orthorhombic, tetragonal, and cubic phases coexisted, accompanied by the highly dynamic polar nanoregions (PNRs). In particular, a high recoverable energy storage density of 4.5 J/cm3 and an energy storage efficiency of 83% were achieved for the x = 0.125 ceramic, with the variations less than 11% and 4%, respectively, in the wide temperature range of 20–180 °C. These results demonstrate that the multiphase PNRs in the SPE state is an effective strategy for improving the energy storage performance of KNN-based ceramics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The motional narrowing effect has been extensively studied for cavity exciton–polariton systems in recent decades both experimentally and theoretically, which is featured by (1) the subaverage behavior and (2) the asymmetric linewidths for the upper polariton and the lower polariton. However, a minimal theoretical model that is clear and adequate to address all these effects as well as the linewidth scaling relations remains missing. In this work, based on the single mode 1D Holstein–Tavis–Cummings (HTC) model, we studied the motional narrowing effect of the polariton linear absorption spectra via both semi-analytic derivations and numerically exact quantum dynamics simulations using the hierarchical equations of motion approach. The results reveal that under collective light–matter coupling between a cavity mode and N molecules, the polariton linewidth scales as 1 / N under the slow limit, while scales as 1/N under the fast limit, due to the polaron decoupling effect. Furthermore, by varying the detunings, the polariton linewidths exhibit significant motional narrowing, covering both characters mentioned above. Our analytic linewidth expressions [Eqs. (34) and (35)] agree well with the numerical exact simulations in all the parameter regimes we explored. These results indicate that the physics of motional narrowing is adequately accounted for by the single-mode 1D HTC model. We envision that both the numerical results and the analytic polariton linewidths expression presented in this work will offer great theoretical value for providing a better understanding of the exciton–polariton motional narrowing based on the HTC model. In this study, peptides designed using fragments of an antifreeze protein (AFP) from the freeze-tolerant insect Tenebrio molitor, TmAFP, were evaluated as inhibitors of clathrate hydrate formation. It was found that these peptides exhibit inhibitory effects by both direct and indirect mechanisms. The direct mechanism involves the displacement of methane molecules by hydrophobic methyl groups from threonine residues, preventing their diffusion to the hydrate surface. The indirect mechanism is characterized by the formation of cylindrical gas bubbles, the morphology of which reduces the pressure difference at the bubble interface, thereby slowing methane transport. The transfer of methane to the hydrate interface is primarily dominated by gas bubbles in the presence of antifreeze peptides. Spherical bubbles facilitate methane migration and potentially accelerate hydrate formation; conversely, the promotion of a cylindrical bubble morphology by two of the designed systems was found to mitigate this effect, leading to slower methane transport and reduced hydrate growth. These findings provide valuable guidance for the design of effective peptide-based inhibitors of natural-gas hydrate formation with potential applications in the energy and environmental sectors. The report on near-ambient superconductivity in nitrogen-doped lutetium hydride is still under controversy. Here, guided by x-ray diffraction data of nitrogen-doped lutetium hydride, we choose a possible cubic superconducting phase named rocksalt-type LuH (RS-LuH) and study the superconductivity of pristine RS-LuH, nitrogen-doped RS-LuH named Lu 4 NH 3 , and lanthanide elements substitution of RS-LuH at pressures 0, 1, and 10 GPa by performing density functional theory and isotropic Eliashberg equation. As pressure increases from 0 to 10 GPa, all phonon spectra notably harden, resulting in the suppression of electron–phonon coupling. Moreover, the decrease in superconducting critical temperature (T c) of Lu 4 NH 3 is due to the reduction of electron–phonon coupling and the density of states at the Fermi level compared with pristine RS-LuH. Finally, our investigation reveals a monotonic increase in T c with ascending atomic numbers via lanthanide element substitution. Notably, RS-LuH exhibits the highest T c (T c = 19.7 K) among all compounds we studied. Therefore, our theoretical exploration enriches the understanding of the superconductivity in nitrogen-doped lutetium hydride under varying pressures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Machine learned potentials (MLPs) have been widely employed in molecular dynamics simulations to study thermal transport. However, the literature results indicate that MLPs generally underestimate the lattice thermal conductivity (LTC) of typical solids. Here, we quantitatively analyze this underestimation in the context of the neuroevolution potential (NEP), which is a representative MLP that balances efficiency and accuracy. Taking crystalline silicon, gallium arsenide, graphene, and lead telluride as examples, we reveal that the fitting errors in the machine-learned forces against the reference ones are responsible for the underestimated LTC as they constitute external perturbations to the interatomic forces. Since the force errors of a NEP model and the random forces in the Langevin thermostat both follow a Gaussian distribution, we propose an approach to correcting the LTC by intentionally introducing different levels of force noises via the Langevin thermostat and then extrapolating to the limit of zero force error. Excellent agreement with experiments is obtained by using this correction for all the prototypical materials over a wide range of temperatures. Based on spectral analyses, we find that the LTC underestimation mainly arises from increased phonon scatterings in the low-frequency region caused by the random force errors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study investigates the structural effects on the cross-plane thermal conductivity of Li4Ti5O12-based anode active material. Three structures are investigated: a basic structure consisting of LiBr/LiCl/Li4Ti5O12, polyvinylidene difluoride, and Super P (sample #1); a structure without Li4Ti5O12 (sample #2); and a structure without LiBr/LiCl (sample #3). Despite its high porosity level (77%), sample #1 exhibits higher thermal conductivity than sample #3 (64% porosity) in both air and vacuum conditions, potentially due to the extra structural bonding provided by LiBr/LiCl. The observed difference in cross-plane thermal conductivity between air and vacuum conditions provides insights into the configuration of the anode's active material in the heat transfer direction. The lower limit corresponds to the parallel thermal circuit configuration of active material and air, which is the product of the sample's porosity and thermal conductivity of air. Our analysis suggests that in sample #2, the anode's active material and air inside the pores demonstrate a more serial configuration, while in sample #3, they exhibit a more parallel configuration in the heat transfer direction. However, the thermal conductivity difference observed for sample #1 falls below the theoretical lower bound indicating significant thermal radiation within the pores. Furthermore, the in-plane thermal conductivity is predominantly controlled by the copper foil. Sample #2 exhibits the lowest in-plane thermal conductivity. This is attributed to the severe oxidization of the copper foil by LiBr/LiCl, which is confirmed by structure characterization. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) has excellent thermal conductivity and dielectric properties, which shows great potential for low-dimensional devices. However, mechanical properties of h-BN have not been comprehensively investigated through experiments. In this work, we conduct in situ direct tensile tests on freestanding single-crystal few-layer h-BN nanosheets with various layer numbers from 3 to 8, with an elaborate sample transfer and characterization protocol. Young's modulus of 573.8 ± 101.4 GPa and a tensile fracture strain up to 3.2% are revealed, which are comparable to its monolayer counterpart. Moreover, we find a tough-to-brittle transition in few-layer h-BN with the increase in layer number, which is attributed the interplay between the van der Waals interaction and in-plane covalent bonding. The multiparticle collision dynamics (MPCD) simulation method is an attractive technique for studying the effects of hydrodynamic interactions in colloidal suspensions because of its flexibility, computational efficiency, and ease of implementation. Here, we analyze an extension of the basic MPCD method in which colloidal particles are discretized with a surface mesh of sensor nodes/particles that interact with solvent particles (MPCD + Discrete Particle or MPCD + DP). We use several situations that have been described analytically to probe the impact of colloidal particle mesh resolution on the ability of the MPCD + DP method to resolve short-ranged hydrodynamic interactions, which are important in crowded suspensions and especially in self-assembling systems that create high volume fraction phases. Specifically, we consider (A) hard-sphere diffusion near a wall, (B) two-particle diffusion, (C) hard-sphere diffusion in crowded suspensions, and (D) the dynamics of aggregation in an attractive colloidal suspension. We show that in each case, the density of sensor nodes plays a significant role in the accuracy of the simulation and that a surprisingly high number of surface nodes are needed to fully capture hydrodynamic interactions. The Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 (PMN-PT) ferroelectric single crystals have been commercially available as important components in medical ultrasound transducers due to their excellent piezoelectric and electromechanical coupling performance. The variation in piezoelectric and dielectric properties of PMN-PT single crystals with ambient temperature is an important application indicator. In this work, the PMN-PT single crystals after direct current poling (DCP) and alternating current poling (ACP) were subjected to the cyclic thermal treatment process. The thermal cycling stability and microstructural changes in PMN-PT single crystals were investigated. The ACP single crystals exhibit a higher dielectric constant ε 33 T / ε 0 (6500–7600) and piezoelectric coefficient d33 (2100–2500 pC N−1) compared to the DCP single crystals (ε 33 T / ε 0 of 4100–5000, d33 of 1200–1300 pC N−1). Under thermal cycling at 60 °C, the DCP and ACP single crystals exhibit good thermal cycling stability after 150 cycles. Microstructural observations show that the domain structure of the DCP single crystals exhibits "staggered domain walls, inhomogeneous domain size, variety of domain structure," while the relatively homogeneous stripe-like domains were observed in the ACP single crystals. After thermal cycling, new fine striped domains appear in both the DCP and ACP single crystals due to the instability of rotated polarization, but the piezoelectric and dielectric properties are not greatly affected. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations play an important role in understanding and engineering heat transport properties of complex materials. An essential requirement for reliably predicting heat transport properties is the use of accurate and efficient interatomic potentials. Recently, machine-learned potentials (MLPs) have shown great promise in providing the required accuracy for a broad range of materials. In this mini-review and tutorial, we delve into the fundamentals of heat transport, explore pertinent MD simulation methods, and survey the applications of MLPs in MD simulations of heat transport. Furthermore, we provide a step-by-step tutorial on developing MLPs for highly efficient and predictive heat transport simulations, utilizing the neuroevolution potentials as implemented in the GPUMD package. Our aim with this mini-review and tutorial is to empower researchers with valuable insights into cutting-edge methodologies that can significantly enhance the accuracy and efficiency of MD simulations for heat transport studies. Many solid crystals exhibit a structural phase transition where a subset of its ions or entire molecules become orientationally ordered. As to why such ordering occurs remains mostly unresolved. We consider the extremely weak magnetic elements arising from the reorientations of the molecules experiencing mutual resonance to play the chief role. Two new features are identified in d-camphor: (1) the magnetic susceptibility abruptly changes when crossing the order–disorder phase transition at TII–III = 239.8 K during cooling and at TIII–II = 245.2 K during warming and (2) the complex dielectric constant exhibits two successive discontinuities only 0.2 K apart near the critical temperatures when the sweeping rate is only 0.1 K/min. We discuss how the change in entropy associated with order–disorder transitions in plastic crystals represents temporal changes rather than spatial changes in the system. The microstructure morphology, static magnetic properties, and electromagnetic absorption characteristics of nano FexCoNi alloy particles prepared by chemical liquid deposition with five different Fe content levels are investigated in this paper. The results show that spherical FexCoNi alloy particles with an average particle size of about 100–200 nm and a face-centered cubic crystal structure were obtained. All five samples exhibited soft magnetic behavior, with the saturation magnetization intensity showing an increasing-then-decreasing trend with increasing Fe content, peaking at 141.8 emu/g for Fe content x = 1.0. The dielectric constants (real and imaginary parts) of the prepared alloy particles exhibit significant differences with respect to the variation of Fe content, while the changes in the real and imaginary parts of the magnetic permeability show less pronounced effects with increasing Fe content. As the electromagnetic wave frequency increases, the real parts of the dielectric constants for all composites show minimal fluctuations, and the real parts of the magnetic permeability exhibit a decreasing trend. Moreover, the imaginary parts of the dielectric constants and magnetic permeability show an increasing followed by a decreasing trend as the frequency rises. The material with Fe content x = 1 demonstrated optimal dielectric loss performance and relatively excellent magnetic loss performance, with a sample thickness of 1.9 mm exhibiting the highest reflection loss (RLmax) of −24.2 dB and an effective absorption bandwidth of 4.48 GHz. The literature on evolution of organizational forms has remained largely silent on where the first organizational instance of a new form comes from, treating it as either a given or an outcome of random variation. We challenge this agnostic assumption by putting the first organizational founding into a specific spatiotemporal context and revealing the role of provisional spaces, defined as small-scale, easily accessible settings where market pioneers temporarily experiment with applications of an innovation before dedicated organizations emerge. We theorize that provisional spaces disseminate necessary information about an innovation and enable potential entrepreneurs to envision a new template for organizing. Therefore, geographic communities with a higher number of provisional spaces are more likely to host the first organization embodying a new form sooner than others. Using archival data on all movie-showing venues in Chicago communities, 1896–1927, we find empirical support for our theorizing. Community variance in volume and types of provisional spaces for movie projectors, such as opera houses and penny arcades, led to community-level differences in the emergence of distinct movie theater forms: nickelodeon, movie house, and movie palace. The glassy state of zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) has shown great potential for energy-related applications, including solid electrolytes. However, their thermal conductivity (κ), an essential parameter influencing thermal dissipation, remains largely unexplored. In this work, using a combination of experiments, atomistic simulations, and lattice dynamics calculations, we investigate κ and the underlying heat conduction mechanism in ZIF glasses with varying ratios of imidazolate (Im) to benzimidazolate (bIm) linkers. The substitution of bIm for Im tunes the node–linker couplings but exhibits only a minor impact on the average diffusivity of low-frequency lattice modes. On the other hand, the linker substitution induces significant volume expansion, which, in turn, suppresses the contributions from lattice vibrations to κ, leading to decreased total heat conduction. Furthermore, spatial localization of internal high-frequency linker vibrations is promoted upon substitution, reducing their mode diffusivities. This is ascribed to structural deformations of the bIm units in the glasses. Our work unveils the detailed influences of linker substitution on the dual heat conduction characteristics of ZIF glasses and guides the κ regulation of related hybrid materials in practical applications. Acoustic droplet ejection (ADE) has been proven to move liquids in droplet form from a container to mid-air. However, the droplet sizes produced using the traditional ADE setups are proportional to their heights if the physical framework is unchanged. This limitation obstructs further employment of ADE technology since having the exact sizes of droplets at a specific location or different sizes at different locations is required for many applications. To overcome this limitation and enable more possible applications of ADE, this study proposed an innovative ADE configuration that could manipulate the size and height of the ADE droplets with only electrical signals. To achieve this, a low-voltage driving period and a pinhole structure were added to create a water mound before ejection. First, simulations were conducted to validate the proposed method and find the parameters of the novel ADE setup. After that, a driving circuit featuring a high-voltage pulser and a field-programmable gate array was built. However, a 3D spherical resin model was printed to focus the acoustic wave on the water surface, and a cover with a pinhole was added to create water mound. To observe the behavior of the droplets, a recording system and detection algorithm were developed to capture and identify the dimension/height of the droplets, respectively. Finally, the proposed ADE configuration successfully manipulated the droplet size at the same ejecting height under three driving voltages (65, 70, and 75 V) and pinhole diameters (3.7, 4, and 4.4 mm). Aqueous inorganic salt solutions play a prominent role in both physiological and chemical experiments, and significant attention has been directed toward understanding the mechanisms underlying salt dissolution. In our effort to elucidate the hydration process of potassium chloride, we employed a comprehensive genetic algorithm to explore the structures of KCl(H2O)n (n = 1–10). A series of stable structures were identified by high-level ab initio optimization and single-point energy calculations with a zero-point energy correction. An analysis of the probability distribution of KCl(H2O)1–10 revealed that clusters with high probability at low temperatures exhibit reduced probabilities at higher temperatures, while others become more prevalent. When n = 1–9, the contact ion pair configurations or partially dissociated structures dominate in the system, and the probability distribution plot shows that the proportion of the solvent-separated ion pair (SSIP) structures of KCl(H2O)n is very small, while the SSIP configuration in KCl(H2O)10 becomes a stable structure with increasing temperature. The results from natural bond orbital analysis reveal a stronger interaction between chloride ions and water molecules. β-Ga2O3, an emerging wide bandgap semiconductor material, holds significant potential for various applications. However, challenges persist in improving the crystal quality and achieving controllable doping of β-Ga2O3. In particular, the relationship between these factors and the mechanisms behind them are not fully understood. Molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) is viewed as one of the most sophisticated techniques for growing high-quality crystalline films. It also provides a platform for studying the effects of doping and defects in heteroepitaxial β-Ga2O3. In our study, we tackled the issue of Si source passivation during the MBE growth of Si-doped β-Ga2O3. We did this by using an electron beam vaporize module, a departure from the traditional Si effusion cell. Our research extensively explores the correlation between Si doping concentration and film properties. These properties include microstructure, morphology, defects, carrier conductivity, and mobility. The results from these investigations are mutually supportive and indicate that a high density of defects in heteroepitaxial β-Ga2O3 is the primary reason for the challenges in controllable doping and conductivity. In this study, low-cost laser marker ablation of vanadium-coated glass was adopted to prepare self-cleaning, anti-reflective, and anti-fog micro-nano structures on its surface. The surface had a hierarchical micro-nano structure composed of a quasi-periodic microstructure and ∼100 nm-sized worm-like clusters interspersed with dispersed nanoparticles. The solar spectrum (AM 1.5) weighted average transmission of treated glass was enhanced by 3.87% over control glass in the wavelength range of 400–1100 nm. Importantly, the water contact angle of the laser-treated samples achieved and maintained 0° for a duration of 25 days, and the laser-treated samples achieved and maintained excellent anti-fog performance for 150 days. The antifog performance degraded substantially afterward, though was still noticeable compared to the reference even after 428 days of storage in the laboratory. Furthermore, co-achievement of exceptional self-cleaning anti-fog performance and broadband transmission enhancement through laser treatment of glass has rarely been previously reported. Inspired by the emerging field of twistronics, moiré photonic structures have attracted great interest. In this paper, we introduce the concept of the moiré Kagome lattice (MKL), which arises from the overlapping of a Kagome lattice at a commensurable angle of 38.211°. MKL exhibits a significantly broader main photonic bandgap (PBG) when compared to the traditional Kagome lattice. Through numerical simulations, we delved into the adjustable properties of the PBG of MKL by varying lattice parameters, including filling factors and materials. Meanwhile, we also observed the presence of photonic flatbands within the MKL structure. Specifically, the emergence of a super flat isolated flatband aids in achieving single-mode omnidirectional lasers and enhancing the omnidirectional electromagnetic interaction of materials, thereby expanding the applications of moiré photonic crystals. The catalytic hydrogenation of biomass-derived chemicals is essential in chemical industry due to the growing demand for sustainable and renewable energy sources. In this study, we present a comprehensive theoretical investigation regarding the hydrogenation of glycolaldehyde to ethylene glycol over a Ru/C catalyst by employing density functional theory and ab initio molecular dynamics simulations. With inclusion of explicit solvation, we have demonstrated that the glycolaldehyde hydrogenation is significantly improved due to the fast proton transfer through the hydrogen bond network. The enhanced activity could be attributed to the participation of the solvent water as the hydrogen source and the highly positively charged state of a Ru cluster in an aqueous phase, which are critical for the activation of aldehyde groups and proton-assisted hydrogenation. Overall, our findings provide valuable insights into glycolaldehyde hydrogenation over Ru/C catalysts in the aqueous phase, highlighting the importance of solvation effects in the biomass conversion. The lattice thermal conductivity (LTC) of Ga 2 O 3 is an important property due to the challenge in the thermal management of high-power devices. In this work, we develop machine-learned neuroevolution potentials (NEPs) for single-crystalline β - Ga 2 O 3 and κ - Ga 2 O 3 and demonstrate their accuracy in modeling thermal transport properties. Combining NEP-driven homogeneous non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations with tensor analysis, we determine the spatial distributions of LTCs for two Ga 2 O 3 crystals, showing dissimilar thermal behaviors. Specifically, β - Ga 2 O 3 shows isotropic thermal transport properties, with the LTCs along [100], [010], and [001] directions being predicted to be 10.3 ± 0.2 , 19.9 ± 0.2 , and 12.6 ± 0.2 W/(m K), respectively, consistent with previous experimental measurements. For κ - Ga 2 O 3 , our predictions suggest nearly isotropic thermal transport properties, with the LTCs along [100], [010], and [001] being estimated to be 4.5 ± 0.1 , 3.9 ± 0.1 , and 4.0 ± 0.1 W/(m K). The reduced LTC of κ -Ga 2 O 3 vs β -Ga 2 O 3 stems from its restricted low-frequency phonons up to 5 THz. Furthermore, we find that the β phase exhibits a typical temperature dependence slightly stronger than ∼ T − 1 , whereas the κ phase shows a weaker temperature dependence, ranging from ∼ T − 0.5 to ∼ T − 0.7 . Decision-making on chatter-free machining parameters is essential for process planning since chatter significantly affects production quality and efficiency. Stability lobe diagram (SLD) is commonly used for selecting chatter-free machining parameters, but its analytical prediction often has poor accuracy and experiment-based prediction is time-consuming. This paper proposes a multi-fidelity (MF) surrogate model and transfer learning-based method to improve the milling stability analysis. Firstly, an analytical stability model is constructed to predict low-fidelity (LF) SLDs for key combinations of radial cutting width (ae) and feed rate per tooth (ft). A few spindle speeds (ns) are selected from each key LF SLD to detect high-fidelity (HF) stability limits (aplim) through milling experiments. Subsequently, sufficient LF and limited HF combinations of ns, ae, ft, and aplim are taken to construct additive scaling function-based MF stability models. Predicted MF combinations of ns, ae, ft, and aplim are combined with limited HF combinations to construct more accurate stability models through transfer learning. Then, a neural network is ultimately trained to predict aplim values for arbitrary combinations of ns, ae, and ft. A detailed experimental validation indicates that the proposed method can provide more accurate lobe boundaries for machining parameters selection by introducing fewer experimental samples. The photophysics of thiobases—nucleobases in which one or more oxygen atoms are replaced with sulfur atoms— vary greatly depending on the location of sulfonation. Not only are direct dynamics of a neutral thiobase impacted, but also the dynamics of excess electron accommodation. In this work, time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy is used to measure binary anionic clusters of iodide and 4-thiouracil, I− · 4TU. We investigate charge transfer dynamics driven by excitation at 3.88 eV, corresponding to the lowest ππ* transition of the thiouracil, and at 4.16 eV, near the cluster vertical detachment energy. The photoexcited state dynamics are probed by photodetachment with 1.55 and 3.14 eV pulses. Excitation at 3.88 eV leads to a signal from a valence-bound ion only, indicating a charge accommodation mechanism that does not involve a dipole-bound anion as an intermediate. Excitation at 4.16 eV rapidly gives rise to dipole-bound and valence-bound ion signals, with a second rise in the valence-bound signal corresponding to the decay of the dipole-bound signal. The dynamics associated with the low energy ππ* excitation of 4-thiouracil provide a clear experimental proof for the importance of localized excitation and electron backfilling in halide–nucleobase clusters. One new 2,5-DKP derivative O-dihydroxycyclopenol (1) and seven known congeners 2–8 were isolated from the marine fungus Penicillium sp. ZJUT-34 cultured on rice medium. The planar structure of 1 was established by extensive spectroscopic analysis, including 1D, 2D NMR and HR-ESI-MS, while the relative configuration of 1 was determined by quantum chemical calculation. In the QS inhibitory assay, 1 significantly inhibited the production of violacein in Chromobacterium violaceum ATCC12472 (20.65%) at a concentration of 6.25 μg/mL without affecting the growth of the strain, as compared with norharmane (22.14%), a quorum sensing inhibitor (QSI) identified in our previous study. It represented the first report on the QS inhibitory activity of the seven-membered 2,5-DKPs. As the disease progresses, arterial obstruction can result in heart attacks and strokes. Therefore, patients with atherosclerosis should receive accurate diagnosis and timely therapeutic intervention. Aim: Geographic range shifts are a common species' response to climate change. While occurrence data are commonly used to estimate species' geographical range shifts, ongoing debate suggests that local abundance data may be increasingly important for the estimates, but few studies have investigated differences between the above two types of data. We aimed to explore whether occurrence and abundance data would result in different patterns of geographic range shifts for marine fishes. Location: Northeast US Continental Shelf, North Sea, and East Bering Sea. Methods: We used bottom trawl datasets since 1968 in the three large marine communities to assess whether data types would affect estimated shifts in marine fish species. The range centroids of individual species were first estimated every year and linear regressions were fitted to estimate shift rates in both longitudinal and latitudinal directions. The average range centroids of the last 5 years were used to compare differences between the data types in species' shifts. We then grouped species by traits to overview species compositions. Results: Significant differences in shift trends between regressions based on annual occurrence‐ and abundance‐based range centroids were found in species' longitudinal shifts, particularly in the Northeast US Continental Shelf and North Sea. Approximately 38.5%–45.9% of fish species in the large marine communities had inconsistent shift directions when estimated by different data types. In comparison with the average range centroids of the last 5 years between the two data types, large changes were identified in the magnitudes of the shift distances towards the east and west. Fish species with inconsistent shifts between the two data types were mostly composed of commercial and demersal species. Main Conclusions: The results provide observed differences over decades and suggest caution on the estimation of species' geographic range shifts using occurrence and abundance data and highlight the differences for future assessments of marine species shifts under climate change. Background: The microneedle fractional radiofrequency system (MFRS) is able to rejuvenate facial appearance by heating and coagulating certain depth of skin tissue. Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of a novel vacuum‐assisted MFRS for facial contour tightening. Methods: This prospective, randomized, split‐face study included 21 patients who underwent three treatments with a vacuum‐assisted MFRS at 1‐month intervals. Half of the face was treated with the MFRS; the other half was untreated (control). Facial volume changes and wrinkles were objectively measured using a three‐dimensional imaging system and VISIA‐CR. Results: Volume changes of the treated midface were −0.24 ± 0.75, −0.59 ± 0.92, and −0.55 ± 0.65 mL at 1, 3, 6 months follow‐up; however, measurements of the control side were 0.08 ± 0.70, −0.08 ± 0.53, and − 0.10 ± 0.86 mL, indicating significant reductions (p < 0.05). The number of facial wrinkles on the treated side was significantly reduced to 12.44 ± 4.85 at 3 months and sustained at 6 months (11.11 ± 4.100) compared to the control side (14.89 ± 5.26 and 13.22 ± 4.44, respectively; p < 0.05). No long‐term side effects occurred. Conclusion: The vacuum‐assisted MFRS is safe and effective and is recommended for improving facial tightening and reducing wrinkles. This technology is sufficient to ensure the insertion depth, thus helping to improve the treatment accuracy and safety. The MFRS provides sustained effects for at least 6 months. Background: Breast cancer (BC) exhibits remarkable heterogeneity. However, the transcriptomic heterogeneity of BC at the single-cell level has not been fully elucidated. Methods: We acquired BC samples from 14 patients. Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), bioinformatic analyses, along with immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF) assays were carried out. Results: According to the scRNA-seq results, 10 different cell types were identified. We found that Cancer-Associated Fibroblasts (CAFs) exhibited distinct biological functions and may promote resistance to therapy. Metabolic analysis of tumor cells revealed heterogeneity in glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, and fatty acid synthetase reprogramming, which led to chemotherapy resistance. Furthermore, patients with multiple metastases and progression were predicted to benefit from immunotherapy based on a heterogeneity analysis of T cells and tumor cells. Conclusions: Our findings provide a comprehensive understanding of the heterogeneity of BC, provide comprehensive insight into the correlation between cancer metabolism and chemotherapy resistance, and enable the prediction of immunotherapy responses based on T-cell heterogeneity. In the pursuit of high-performance single-molecule magnets (SMMs), incorporating intramolecular magnetic coupling emerges as a pivotal strategy. Among these, d-f SMMs have garnered significant attention due to their remarkable versatility, which lies in their ability to tune coordination environments and facilely substitute metal centers. However, achieving performance-centric d-f SMMs through the synergistic interplay between highly anisotropic f ions and d-f magnetic interactions remains a formidable challenge. While mononuclear hexagonal bipyramidal (D6h) DyIII SMMs have been successfully isolated, the exploration of d-f SMMs featuring D6h-lanthanide metal centers remains uncharted territory. In this study, we employed planar bipodal ligands in conjunction with "staple-like" axial phenoxide ligands to synthesize the first hexagonal bipyramidal d-f SMM. Remarkably, this compound exhibits alternating-current magnetic susceptibilities peaking up to 68 K with an energy barrier surpassing 1,200 K, thus establishing a new benchmark within the heterometallic d-f SMM landscape inclusive of complexes with diamagnetic d metals and paramagnetic f ions. Notably, the ferromagnetic interaction at the d-f sites engenders oscillating relaxation times contingent on the magnetic field — a characteristic distinct from mononuclear SMMs. These findings shed light on a deliberate design approach for d-f SMMs, emphasizing the cooperative utilization of high-barrier lanthanide modules alongside d ions through magnetic interactions. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy, safety, and improvement of symptoms by ultrasound-guided microwave ablation (MWA) for patients with large benign thyroid nodules (BTNs). Methods: Eighty-seven patients with 87 BTNs (≥ 4 cm) treated with MWA between April 2015 and March 2021 were enrolled in this retrospective multicenter study, with clinical and ultrasound examinations performed at the 1st, 3rd, 6th, and 12th months. A multivariable linear mixed effects model was employed to explore the alterations in volume and volume reduction ratio (VRR), as well as the potential factors associated with VRR. Results: The mean age of the 87 patients was 45.69 ± 14.21 years (range 18–76 years), and the ratio of men to women was 1:4.8. The mean volumes were much decreased at the 12th month after ablation compared to the initial volumes (p <.001). The mean VRR was 76.09% at the 12th month. The technique efficacy (VRR > 50%) was 90.80% at the 12th month. A multivariate analysis revealed that VRR was related to the initial volume (p =.015), annular flow (p =.010), and nodule composition (p =.024). The mean symptomatic score decreased from 4.40 ± 0.28 to 0.26 ± 0.06 at the 12th month (p <.001). At the same time, the mean cosmetic score decreased from 3.22 ± 0.10 to 1.31 ± 0.08 (p <.001). Conclusion: MWA could serve as a safe and effective therapy for large BTNs, significantly reducing the volume of BTNs and significantly improving compressive symptoms and appearance problems. In this study, we constructed a series of acid‐base sensitive cyclic chalcone dyes A—F by modifying different electron‐donating groups. Differences in acid sensitivity of different structures are well rationalised by NMR and theoretical calculations. Aniline is difficult to protonate than fatty amines, so there is a difference in fluorescence. Hiding and anti‐counterfeiting of information is achieved by this phenomenon. Powder X and Y are the anti‐counterfeit fluorescent powder containing montmorillonite and cyclic chalcone, which have orange fluorescence and the very similar appearance. However, under the influence of acid the Powder X containing triphenylamine modified cyclic chalcone shows red shifted fluorescence and Powder Y containing morpholino and diethylamino groups modified cyclic chalcone shows blue shifted fluorescence. Therefore, the anti‐counterfeiting strategy based on cyclic chalcone is not only limited to UV‐irradiated fluorescence development, but also has more colorization and pattern variations with the aid of acid developer. Patients with recurrent or metastatic head and neck cancers (R/M HNCs) are prone to developing resistance after immunotherapy. This retrospective real-world study aims to investigate whether the addition of anlotinib can reverse resistance to PD-1 inhibitors (PD-1i) and evaluate the efficacy and safety of this combination in R/M HNCs. Main outcomes included objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), duration of response (DOR), and safety. Potential biomarkers included PD-L1 expression, lipid index, and genomic profiling. Twenty-one patients with R/M HNCs were included, including 11 nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), five head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), three salivary gland cancers (SGC), and two nasal cavity or paranasal sinus cancers (NC/PNC). Among all patients, ORR was 47.6% (95% CI: 28.6–66.7), with 2 (9.5%) complete response; DCR was 100%. At the median follow-up of 17.1 months, the median PFS and OS were 14.3 months (95% CI: 5.9-NR) and 16.7 months (95% CI:8.4-NR), respectively. The median DOR was 11.2 months (95% CI: 10.1-NR). As per different diseases, the ORR was 45.5% for NPC, 60.0% for HNSCC, 66.7% for SGC, and 50.0% for NC/PNC. Most treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs) were grade 1 or 2 (88.9%). The most common grades 3–4 TRAE was hypertension (28.6%), and two treatment-related deaths occurred due to bleeding. Therefore, adding anlotinib to the original PD-1i could reverse PD-1 blockade resistance, with a favorable response rate, prolonged survival, and acceptable toxicity, indicating the potential as a second-line and subsequent therapy choice in R/M HNCs. Background: Although the adverse impact of substandard informal housing has been widely documented, most studies concentrated on developing societies, thereby leaving informal housing in developed regions underexplored. This study examines Hong Kong, where limited dwelling size is a distinctive feature that characterises informal housing, to explore the impact of housing informality on mental health, with a particular focus on dwelling size. It centers on subdivided units (SDUs), which are tiny compartments partitioned from a large domestic quarter, to understand how housing informality and housing size affect the mental well-being of female caregivers, who typically bear the brunt of the housework. Methods: In partnership with nongovernment organisations in three SDU-abundant districts, this mixed-methods study conducted a survey on 413 female caregivers aged 18—65 and qualitative research combining ethnographic observations and in-depth interviews on 36 families living in SDUs in Hong Kong between 2021 and 2023. The mental health outcomes and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of the participants were assessed by using the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale-21 and a EuroQol-5 Dimension-5 Level questionnaire. Results: Depression, anxiety and stress were prevalent across the female caregivers living in SDUs (12.4%), as well as a significantly lower HRQoL compared with that of the general population (0.882 vs. 0.919). Findings showed that a total floor area smaller than 13.0 m2 was associated with increased likelihood of experiencing anxiety and depression and reduced HRQoL. Cramped living space adversely affected the caregivers' well-being through the 1) physical, 2) relational and 3) personal aspects of home experiences. Negative experiences at home can cause housework burnout, exacerbate family conflicts and lead to feelings of repression and low self-efficacy. Conclusions: This study contributes to the understanding of the consequences of housing informality in diverse geographical contexts and illuminates the effect of dwelling size by identifying the mechanisms through which housing size can affect the mental well-being of residents, which may vary depending on their family status. The findings yield important policy implications, including the need to establish a minimum space standard for subdivided residential dwellings and ensure equitable access to community spaces for deprived families. Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) has emerged in American countries, and it has reemerged in Asia and Europe, causing significant economic losses to the pig industry worldwide. In the present study, the 17GXCZ-1ORF3d strain, which has a naturally large deletion at the 172–554 bp position of the ORF3 gene, together with the 17GXCZ-1ORF3c strain, was serially propagated in Vero cells for up to 120 passages. The adaptability of the two strains gradually increased through serial passages in vitro. Genetic variation analysis of the variants of the two strains from different generations revealed that the naturally truncated ORF3 gene in the 17GXCZ-1ORF3d variants was stably inherited. Furthermore, the survival, viral shedding and histopathological lesions following inoculation of piglets demonstrated that the virulence of 17GXCZ-1ORF3d-P120 was significantly attenuated. These results indicate that the naturally truncated ORF3 gene may accelerate the attenuation of virulence and is involved in PEDV virulence together with mutations in other structural genes. Importantly, immunization of sows with G2b 17GXCZ-1ORF3d-P120 increased PEDV-specific IgG and IgA antibody levels in piglets and conferred partial passive protection against heterologous G2a PEDV strains. Although MoS2 quantum dots with abundant edge sites have been regarded as promising eletrode materials for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), their electrocatalytic capacity still requires improvements in actual applications. Herein. we demonstrate a controllable and robust bottom‐up approach to build 3D crosslinked graphene‐Ti3C2Tx MXene frameworks decorated with MoS2 quantum dots (MQD/RGO‐MX) via a convenient co‐assembly process. The novel structural design gives the MQD/RGO‐MX nanoarchitectures a series of superior textural attributes, including 3D interconnected networks, continuous meso‐ and macropores, well‐dispersed quantum dots, ameliorative electronic configuration, and excellent electrical conductivity. Accordingly, the resulting hybrid nanoarchitectures express superior electrocatalytic properties in terms of a low onset potential of only 45 mV, a small Tafel slope of 61 mV dec−1 as well as a long service life towards the HER, which make it quite competitive against bare MoS2 quantum dots, MXene as well as binary MQD/RGO and MQD/MXene electrocatalysts. The global prevalence of obesity is rising year by year, which has become a public health problem worldwide. Many animal and clinical studies have shown that Lactiplantibacillus plantarum is considered an ideal probiotic and potential supplement for the treatment of obesity. In this study, we aimed to complete the genome sequence of L. plantarum HOM2217, which was isolated from human milk, and study its physiological characteristics and anti-obesity effects in 3T3-L1 cells and rats fed a high-fat diet (HFD) to determine its potential as a starter for functional food products. Whole-genome analysis demonstrated that HOM2217 contained a single circular chromosome of 3,267,529 bp with a GC content of 44.5% and one plasmid (62,350 bp) with a GC content of 38.5%. Compared to the reference strains, HOM2217 demonstrated superior tolerance to gastrointestinal conditions, higher adhesion to intestinal epithelial cell lines, potent antimicrobial activity against Enterobacter cloacae ATCC 13047, and effective cholesterol removal ability in vitro. Treatment with heat-killed HOM2217 significantly reduced lipid accumulation and intracellular triglyceride production in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Daily treatment of HFD-fed rats with HOM2217 for 7 weeks decreased body weight, body weight gain, and body fat without changes in food intake. HOM2217 also significantly increased the serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) level, decreased the serum tumor necrosis factor (TNF-a) and increased short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) (formic acid, acetic acid, and butyric acid) levels in the cecum. Thus, HOM2217 could potentially prevent obesity in rats by inhibiting inflammatory responses and regulating lipid metabolism and SCFAs expression. Objective: Neuroinflammation is associated with brain injury and poor outcomes after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). In this study, we performed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to analyze monocytes and explore the mechanisms of neuroinflammation after SAH. Methods: We recruited two male patients with SAH and collected paired cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and peripheral blood (PB) samples from each patient. Mononuclear cells from the CSF and PB samples were sequenced using 10x Genomics scRNA-seq. Additionally, scRNA-seq data for CSF from eight healthy individuals were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus database, serving as healthy controls (HC). We employed various R packages to comprehensively study the heterogeneity of transcriptome and phenotype of monocytes, including monocyte subset identification, function pathways, development and differentiation, and communication interaction. Results: (1) A total of 17,242 cells were obtained in this study, including 7,224 cells from CSF and 10,018 cells from PB, mainly identified as monocytes, T cells, B cells, and NK cells. (2) Monocytes were divided into three subsets based on the expression of CD14 and CD16: classical monocytes (CM), intermediate monocytes (IM), and nonclassical monocytes (NCM). Differentially expressed gene modules regulated the differentiation and biological function in monocyte subsets. (3) Compared with healthy controls, both the toll-like receptor (TLR) and nod-like receptor (NLR) pathways were significantly activated and upregulated in IM from CSF after SAH. The biological processes related to neuroinflammation, such as leukocyte migration and immune response regulation, were also enriched in IM. These findings revealed that IM may play a key role in neuroinflammation by mediating the TLR and NLR pathways after SAH. Interpretation: In conclusion, we establish a single-cell transcriptomic landscape of immune cells and uncover the heterogeneity of monocyte subsets in SAH.
