Efforts to increase the quality of this environment have been going on since the beginning of the concern for shelter in the history of humanity. The main targets of the user, designers, practitioners, and decision-makers are to carry the quality of life, health, safety, and welfare of individuals and other living things to the next level. Problems have been identified to increase the function and quality of the space, spatial requirements have been determined, and researched, and some design factors have been determined to reach the most appropriate solution. The researchers focused on the proposition that the effectiveness of these factors before and during the design process would increase the quality of the space. However, since research generally focuses on indoor quality, the outdoor quality factors that are part of urban design are not clear. This work, was designed to evaluate the usability of these factors, which were determined and measured especially to deal with the interior, in designs at larger scales (street, neighborhood, city...) and to improve the existing. In designs outside the spatial scale, where almost all factors can be controlled by the relevant stakeholders of the process, the subject is approached through changeable and unchangeable parameters and their balancing. Studies on the factors determined during the process were compiled and their effects on different scales were evaluated as a result of these compilations. As a result of the evaluation, some suggestions were given. In the process of redesigning the space, selecting feasible suggestions, and incorporating them into the creation of the future physical space, using the suggestions as urban rehabilitation tools, and considering these interventions to be flexible and suitable for various factors are of great importance for the psychology of the users. Interaction between the users and their environment is spontaneous and unavoidable. This interaction can be positive or negative. A good interior space is about considering all the physical, environmental and cognitive elements and harmonizing them to make it a space that feels right, functionally and emotionally. The important element that has to be considered the most in an interior space is the 'user'. Balancing all these elements is a challenging job and results in a perfect interior space design. This paper intends to bring to light the necessity of designing an optimum interior space, which is a balance of the user's choice and the mandatory standards that ought to be followed for user safety and convenience. The rapid development of artificial intelligence technology is gradually penetrating into multiple fields such as interior design and spatial planning. The aim of this study is to integrate artificial intelligence with interior design, enhance design artistry and user experience, and address the interactive needs of interior space design choices. A set of indoor space design recognition system has been designed by introducing artificial intelligence networks and attention mechanisms. This study first optimizes the CenterNet algorithm based on attention mechanism and feature fusion to improve its accuracy in identifying complex components. Afterwards, the long short-term memory network and convolutional neural network are trained to complete the task of spatial layout feature recognition and design. The performance test results showed that after testing 100 images, the software could recognize indoor design space images and create corresponding vector format space maps in about 5 minutes, providing them to the 3D modeling interface to generate 3D scenes. Compared to the approximately 25 minutes required by manual methods, the design efficiency has been significantly improved. The research and design method has a fast convergence speed and low loss during the retraining process. In simulation testing, its mAP value reached 91.0%, higher than similar models. It performs better in detecting walls, doors and windows, bay windows, double doors, and two-way doors. Moreover, it has outstanding ability when facing structures such as short walls and door corners, and can recognize and create vector format spatial maps within 5 minutes, which is accurate and efficient. The system designed in this project has optimized the interaction between designers and clients in interior design, accurately capturing user intentions and assisting designers in improving work efficiency. Based on bioscience technology in hospital interior space design, this paper proposes strategies for spatial attributes and light environment healing pro-biological design of multiple sites, as well as strategies for system spatial layout system design and spatial balance material and color tone design in overall spatial system design. As for the design of medical space guidance system, the design methods of biorhythmic and bio-emotional perception of guidance are explored through the hierarchical division of visual space guidance visual field and hospital guidance system. The results show that with the design strategy based on bioscience technology, the fit R2 value of spatial comprehensibility is about 0.6351, which is 0.3413 higher than the original scheme. With the further development of the social economy, people pay more attention to spiritual and cultural needs. As the main place of people's daily life, the family is very important to the creation of its cultural atmosphere. In fact, China has fully entered the era of interior decoration, and people are paying more and more attention to decorative effects and the comfort and individual characteristics of decoration. Therefore, it is of practical significance to develop the application of decorative art in interior space design. However, the transfer effect of current interior decoration art design tends to be artistic, which leads to image distortion, and image content transfer errors are easy to occur in the process of transfer. The application of image style transfer in interior decoration art can effectively solve such problems. This paper analyzes the basic theory of image style transfer through image style transfer technology, Gram matrix, and Poisson image editing technology and designs images from several aspects such as image segmentation, content loss, enhanced style loss, and Poisson image editing constrained image spatial gradient. The application process of style transfer in interior decoration art realizes the application of image style transfer in interior decoration art. In interior interaction design, achieving intelligent user-interior interaction is contingent upon understanding the user's emotional responses. Precise identification of the user's visual emotions holds paramount importance. Current visual emotion recognition methods rely solely on singular features, predominantly facial expressions, resulting in inadequate coverage of visual characteristics and low recognition rates. This study introduces a deep learning-based multimodal weighting network model to address this challenge. The model initiates with a convolutional attention module, employing a self-attention mechanism within a convolutional neural network (CNN). As a result, the multimodal weighting network model is integrated to optimize weights during training. Finally, a weight network classifier is derived from these optimized weights to facilitate visual emotion recognition. Experimental outcomes reveal a 77.057% correctness rate and a 74.75% accuracy rate in visual emotion recognition. Comparative analysis against existing models demonstrates the superiority of the multimodal weight network model, showcasing its potential to enhance human-centric and intelligent indoor interaction design. Accurately predicting homeowners' aesthetic preferences is crucial in interior design. This study develops a fine-tuning model (LORA) for interior design styles corresponding to different MBTI personality types, leveraging the Stable Diffusion Web UI platform and integrating it into a generative artificial intelligence framework. Subsequently, personalized aesthetic preference architectural interior renderings are recommended based on homeowners' personality traits, aiming to achieve an adaptive interior design approach. To achieve more precise adaptive solutions, this research surveys the style and color tendencies of respondents with different MBTI personality types and adds style description prompts to assist in image generation. The study finds that this method can better predict the interior design styles favored by certain MBTI personality types. The increasingly shortened development cycle of smart vehicles has led to a qualitative shift in the nature of automotive products. Growing spatial design of vehicle interiors can effectively satisfy users' personalisation preferences and increase their willingness to buy, as well as mitigating the environmental pollution caused by the problem of rapid replacement. Considering the subjectivity and uncertainty of users' emotional needs, this study adopts the FAHP method to comprehensively analyse and rank the SET series of factors, then combines the grey correlation method with the correlation analysis of the areas related to the interior space of the automobile, constructs the sample of the interior space of the automobile and extracts the kansei words of the space sample. Intentional vocabulary mean scores were calculated to factor analyses through kansei engineering, next the fuzzy QFD quality house was built to make affective semantic design associations and derive design weights, which are then used to guide the design and ultimately realise the design of a dynamic automotive interaction scenario. The results of the study show that the integration of different theories can reduce the uncertainties in accessing users' emotional needs. At the same time, it can provide systematic guidance for the interaction design of a growable automobile in terms of multiple dimensions of interior space connectivity, spatial layout, and perceptual experience, as well as provide valuable suggestions for the subsequent development of interior spaces. There is limited literature related to this connection and a gap is felt in comparing the ‘collaging’ with the ‘critical thinking skills’. This research investigates ‘collage’ by reviewing the literature to understand its connection with architecture. Architect Tatiana Bilbao’s case studies, who uses collages over renderings provide a new perspective towards collaging. A study conducted at the 3rd year Interior Architecture Design Studio at a University in Ahmedabad, India, investigates collage’s effectiveness in decision-making when students use collage. The study is limited to collaging and model-making and does not explore other tools. It establishes collage’s effectiveness by contributing an approach that focuses on critical thinking for decision-making to achieve better quality designs in architecture and interior academia and practice. As one of the most fundamental natural elements, water has had a great share in the formation and architecture of architectural buildings. This research examines the effect of water and its presence in contemporary houses. Architecture is not merely a tridimensional compound of forms in space, but a manifestation of a sense or a thought in it. According to Feng Shui, the building where we live in can be the cause of balance and health for human being. As a whole, anything around us has active and mobile energies; by designing a building in a way that positive energies can follow around easier, one can easier bring happiness for the dwellers. Feng Shui is based on the harmony among five elements of water, wind, soil, fire and metal. Because of its stream, water removes negative energies and revives and mobilizes positive ones thereby having a great impact on the current of energies. Considering the fact that contemporary houses are small in space, designer does not feel free in the usage of water in internal spaces, thus he/she should utilize patterns that resemble or associate the feeling of water in the living environment. Conceptual, functional and aesthetic basics of water have been examined first via library studies and note taking from various papers and books. Then, the three qualities would be analyzed in Iranian architecture, and the properties of past people will be examined to emphasize material, spiritual and psychological aspects of water. Then, I will assess the philosophical basics of Feng Shui in using water for interior spaces via a qualitative method and content analysis, usage of water based on Feng Shui in interior design and decoration of homes. Considering these concepts, natural possibilities of water in interior architecture and its limitations in interior space design would be assessed and recognized. In an age of big data and information overload, recommendation systems have evolved rapidly. Throughout the traditional design of interior spaces, the specialised nature of the work and the high rate of human involvement has led to high costs. With the continuous development of artificial intelligence technology, it provides a favourable environment for reducing the development cost of the system. This study proposes a two-stage modelling scheme based on deep learning networks for the intelligent design of display space layouts, divided into two parts: matching and layout, which greatly improves design efficiency. The research results show that through comparison tests, its prediction accuracy reaches more than 80%, which can well meet the matching requirements of household products. The training number of Epochs is between 15 and 30, its training curve tends to saturate and the best accuracy can reach 100%, while the running time of the hybrid algorithm proposed in this study is only 20.716 s, which is significantly better compared with other algorithms. The proposed hybrid algorithm has a running time of only 20.716 s, which is significantly better than other algorithms. The approach innovatively combines deep learning technology with computer-aided design (CAD), enabling designers to automatically generate display space layouts with good visibility and usability based on complex design constraints. Given that human being inhabits approximately 80% of the time within the built environment, it is necessary to understand how this affects them. Therefore, this article analyzes the state of the art on the interaction between the interior built environment and the human being, -their health and well-being- with a holistic view. Considering the perceived and not perceived aspects. And the psychological and biological responses of human beings. Through an integrative review developed at the WOS database, between 1998 and 2018 with the question: What are the parameters that have been studied of the interaction between human beings and the built environment, perceived and not perceived, related to health and well-being? and In what contexts have these issues been scientifically developed from a systemic perspective? With 11,997 titles filtered, 244 articles are analyzed. Among the main results, it is observed that the most studied context is the domestic one, followed by the work and educational context. Air quality is the most intervened parameter, followed by the physical-environmental parameters. And it is observed that matter is occasionally related to human parameters. The quality evaluation of interior decoration design is a classical multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problem. This paper extends the EDAS method to the 2-tuple linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy sets (2TLPFSs). On the basis of the original EDAS method, 2-tuple linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy EDAS (2TLPF-EDAS) method based on the Hamming distance and Euclid distance is built for MAGDM. The information entropy method is used to obtain the weight information based on the score function and accuracy function under 2TLPFSs. The Interior layout model is to optimize the arrangement position of each room to maximize the comfort and quality of life of residents. Due to the complexity of the Interior layout problem, the computation of fitness function costs lots of time. To reduce the high computational cost while maintaining the solution performance. An interactive differential evolution algorithm based on Backtracking operator (IDE-BO) is proposed as the solver of the Interior layout model. The human-computer interaction mechanism of IDE benefits the automatic adjustment of fitness parameters that best meet the user's subjective preferences to achieve the optimal solution. At the same time, the backtracking strategy can also help jump out when the algorithm falls into local optimization. The IDE is compared to other two conventional optimization methods based on two different layout scenarios. The experimental results show that in interior layout model IDE-BO is better than conventional interactive genetic algorithm (IGA) and IDE which do not use BO strategy, the super-performance of IDE-BO in complex situations in terms of execution time and convergence rate. Concerns about a rapidly increasing elderly population mostly relate to the need for adequate housing and welfare for the aged. The poor design of housing for the elderly has led to the charge that the needs of aging people have not been adequately anticipated. There is little focus on design features that facilitate aging in place, hence improving the quality of life for the elderly, for example. This study examines the impact of interior housing design on the lives of the elderly, through a review of research on the subject and an evaluation of current design trends. Using a keyword search, 51 empirical studies from 2013 to 2022 that focus on housing for the elderly were identified and analyzed in terms of architectural features, home environment, and energy efficiency. The review found minimal connections have been made between interior design efforts and the actual housing needs of the elderly. This thematic review provides a summary of this literature for use by researchers and designers and recommends future studies for the use of inclusive designs in housing interiors in order to better meet the needs of elderly individuals. The tasks assigned to the interior design are revealed at the level of the design transformation mechanisms, which perform a useful functional qualifications. "What design transformation mechanisms reflect the formatting of expressive data?". The objective of the research included the detection of shifts of systems in the design of general internal spaces and the diagnosis of their intellectual mediums and expressive associations in the light of contemporary trends. For the purpose of the research, the researcher conducted a study consisting of four chapters that dealt with the problem, relevance and purpose of the research, as well as its limits and the definition of terminology contained therein. Ancient Chinese gardens have a long history. They are rich in content, outstanding in style, and full of characteristics. They have great aesthetic value and are the valuable property of all mankind. This paper discusses the environmental expression, spatial layout, and element combination in traditional garden art. The study of landscape design techniques involves different subjects. Through the developed mobile multimedia information, the traditional garden design is more rich, separation but not blocking, desire to promote first restraint, twists and turns, appropriate scale, borrowing from afar and borrowing from neighbors. The application of these expression techniques in modern interior design is of great significance. By using the ancient gardens of our country to reflect the civilization products of our country in a certain historical stage, the paper traces its development ideas and motives and analyzes the consistency with the corresponding contemporary ideological development. From the perspective of space design, this paper discusses the influence of ancient gardens on contemporary space creation from the aspects of space type, structure form, and space language. How to apply the reference means of ancient Chinese garden design to modern interior decoration through multimedia information so that the interior space can also experience the aesthetic pleasure of "changing scenery" so that the traditional landscape and modern interior decoration can be more fully integrated. This paper analyses the design of a healthy interior environment using big data intelligence. The application of big data intelligence in the design of healthy interior environments is necessary because the traditional interior design approaches consume a lot of energy and other problems. Benefited by its strong ability of computation and analytics, artificial intelligence can well improve a series of problems in the field of interior design. The proposal summarizes the sources, classifications, and expressions of behavioral data in interior spaces, carries out analysis and research on behavioral data from two aspects: display space and supermarket space, summarizes the interior methods based on behavioral data, and analyses the visualization application of behavioral data in different interior scenes, to explore the application value of behavioral data in interior design. In contrast to it is the unconscious behavioral response, the biggest characteristic of which is that it is regulated by the behavioral subject's physiological factors or habits of the behavior issuer. In this paper, we convert the layout recommendation problem of a space into a functional classification problem of segmented segments and household segments on a plane. The scene layout features are extracted by binary coding, the abstraction of the cross features between the vector segments is achieved by using a word embedding algorithm, the feature matrix is reduced in dimensionality, and finally, the segmentation network model and the layout network model are constructed, respectively, by using a bidirectional LSTM. In order to meet people's diverse, complex, and changeable living requirements and aesthetic requirements, it is necessary to rationalize the design of indoor three-dimensional space. The optimization of the indoor environmental space layout is affected by the energy consumption and rationality of functional areas, resulting in indoor environmental space The performance of the layout optimization system deteriorates. In order to improve the performance of the indoor environment spatial layout and meet the living needs of more people, this paper proposes an optimal design of a spatial layout based on multi-intelligence decision-making. The research results of the article show that (1) the average confidence and the average recognition time of logo set B are both smaller than those of logo set A , indicating that logo set B is easier to be recognized by users in the same commercial building environment and can be more quickly recognized. In terms of discrimination, the time used to correct the misrecognition of identification set B is shorter than that of identification set A , which means that the different types of identifications in identification set B are easier to distinguish. (2) The spatial positioning algorithm proposed in this paper has good reliability and practicability, high positioning accuracy, and small error for indoor spatial coordinate positioning. Compared with the traditional method, the projection method of this paper has a significantly smaller error, and the maximum error is only 0.272, which makes the indoor space design more rational. (3) Comparing the energy consumption coefficients of the three spatial layout optimization systems, it can be seen that the indoor environmental spatial layout optimization system based on multi-intelligence decision-making has the lowest energy consumption when optimizing the indoor environmental spatial layout, because the system is in the design process. The indoor environment space layout model is designed, which effectively reduces the energy consumption of the indoor environment space layout optimization. Purpose: The emergence of COVID-19 pandemic in the late 2019 was accompanied by various consequences that included almost the entire life aspects worldwide. To cope with the pandemic, imposing restricted measures was required, such as quarantine, lockdown and social distancing. The purpose of this paper is to identify the houses' interior designs responses in Jordan under Covid-19 Pandemic. Design/methodology/approach: Under such conditions, people have to spend long periods inside their houses. This issue highlighted the importance and the vital role of houses interior design in meeting the various needs of residents under emergent and changing conditions. Findings: This study revealed current and future responses that may be implemented to cope with the pandemic consequences in terms of houses' interior design. Moreover, a conceptual model was proposed. Number of suggestions and further research were introduced considering the revealed findings. Originality/value: This study aimed at identifying the houses' interior design responses in Jordan under COVID-19 pandemic. The study methodology adopted both inductive and qualitative approaches to achieve its goals. Design spaces can be read in two complementary structural and compositional dimensions: the implicit dimension, and the formal dimension. This study aimed to answer the following questions: What are the phases of the original idea transformation in the design process? Does taking advantage of the implicit dimension of others' interior spaces count as inspiration or plagiarism? Participants comprised nine postgraduate students, who were asked to copy others' project ideas by applying four design phases: idea source, test, choice, and output. The results showed that plagiarism of the concept of others' work could not occur unless the concept copies the structural, functional, and aesthetic aspects of the design space at the level of its components and the relationships between them. Otherwise, taking advantage of the implicit dimension of others' project ideas can be an inspiration. It was aimed in this study to determine the evaluations for "spatial quality," "social adaptation," and "individual productivity" of students in design studios, which used different light color temperature values. With this intention, a detailed research questionnaire was developed for measuring the effects on spatial perception of low color temperatures, daylight, and high color temperatures for a total of three different light color temperature values. A total of 113 students participated in the research questionnaire and the data obtained were analyzed with the SPSS package program. In conclusion, it was determined that the spaces lighted with the low color temperatures and daylight had more positive effects on the perceptual evaluations of the students compared to the spaces lighted with the high color temperatures according to the "spatial quality," "social adaptation," and "individual productivity" scales. Another result was that it was observed that the low color temperatures had somewhat more positive perceptual values compared to daylight. The author challenges the relationship of bodies to interior space and the disconnect between the typical interior design process and the role of clothing in the creation of identity. Concepts related to dress, the control of movement, equity, and comfort are also examined. Fashion design process is unpacked, proposing that concepts of fit, tailoring, and mending be applied to interior design. Connections are drawn between the scale at which clothing is patterned and to that of which interior spaces are designed. These concepts are explored further through a creative study based on the pattern making of clothing. An expanded interior design process is proposed to acknowledge more outwardly that interior design understands differing bodies, potentially resulting in more equitable interiors that respond and fit to the evolving characteristics of individual bodies. Interior environments and their design are profoundly influenced by how designers integrate color and light with form and space. In our increasingly global world, new lighting technologies are changing our perception of color and light and subsequently our interrelationships with one another and with interior space. This alters the choices that we have as designers when we make both color and light decisions. Traditional light and color theories are being challenged with new lighting approaches that are complex, dynamic, and that are changing people’s immediate experiences within spaces. Currently, new light technologies alter our perceptual relationships with people and forms, as light, its spectral color, and the forms its affects are more interactive and modulated in real time. Usually, in interior design coursework, students learn about color and light as static theories that they are then asked to apply within the interior design of spaces in subsequent design studios. Through a presentation and examination of the course “Color and Light in Interior Design,” this paper proposes considering integrating color and light theories with new contexts of dynamic, integrated human experiences of color and light in interior space. Students acquire learning experiences that integrate theory and practice by understanding the complex interrelationships of light, color, and objects in interior spaces as interactive, and by exploring design concepts in actual environments as a laboratory where they can test theories and their own ideas. The course structure is described and the theories underlying the course goals are explored. Color and light theories are considered in the context of emerging technologies and how phenomenological approaches affect our perceptions and experiences in spaces. Student examples of two of the four course projects are presented as these put theories into practice. The discussion shows that light and color theory, when explored in this way, stimulates both comprehensive and creative responses that integrate new technology with aesthetic theory and functional aspects of well-designed light/color solutions. The integrating of practice into theory stimulates reflective thinking and an understanding of situated contexts in interior design problem solving. The domain of interiors constitutes a point of tension between practicing architects and interior designers. Design of interior spaces is a significant part of architectural profession. Yet, to what extent does architectural education keep pace with changing demands in rendering topics that are identified as pertinent to the design of interiors? This study explores interior designrelated coursework taught in accredited architectural programmes in the United States. Two methods of collecting data are used: self report from architectural programme chairs and content analysis of web-site posted programme catalogues describing course content. The findings show that many interior design concepts are not well addressed in the architectural curricula [1]. On average, only 0.44% of program content is dedicated to curricula focusing on knowledge and skills in shaping interiors. These findings offer a parameter to educators who are involved in assessing and reforming architectural education by expanding issues of design in general. The authors contend that the pedagogical approach in architectural programmes would benefit from the inclusion of more interior design concepts and through such education efforts the stature of interior design is likely to be improved.
