Evolution is one recurrent phenomenon that affects almost every facet of human endeavour. Libraries have had their own share in many ways. The green library concept, although, a relatively new-sprung initiative, have not been given full attention. The understanding of librarians, and the levels of adoption of the green library concept in Nigeria is reported herein. The descriptive survey approach was used. Results showed that librarians have the right perception about the concept, and have implemented or currently translating their policies, practices, and services in compliance with environmental sustainability objectives. However, much more needs to be done as the libraries also have not sufficiently engaged in climate change sensitization activities with patrons or their immediate community. The libraries do not collect rain water, recycle paper or reduce the use of plastics as stipulated. In implementing the initiative, low awareness, poor funding, lack of collaboration with environmental agencies among others have bedeviled their efforts. The establishment of a Nigerian Green Building Council (NGBC) for building standardisation with the support of the Nigerian Library Association is thus recommended for on-thespot redesigning of already built antique libraries. This paper aims to determine the satisfaction level of DVM students of Benguet State University with the resources of the Veterinary Medicine Library and their usage of these resources. It also aims to determine students' access to and utilization of scientific papers. A structured survey was adapted to gather data from fifty-seven (57) 2021 graduating DVM students. Data were interpreted using frequency count, percentage, ranking, and mean. The study confirms that the resources of the Veterinary Medicine library fulfill the academic needs of DVM students of Benguet State University. A strong need to enhance Internet connectivity in the library was also reflected in the results. Moreover, results show that students tend to read scientific papers for the reason that they are being required. The students' self-assessment result positioned themselves neutral when asked regarding their ability to interpret data from scientific papers and whether they find it easy to read scientific papers. The study investigated the perceived role of digital theological library and term paper counselling in undergraduate religious education students' academic success in the federal universities in southeast Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. A structured questionnaire developed by the researchers was used for data collection. 166 undergraduate religious education students were chosen as respondents in this research. The results showed that items on the perceived role of digital theological library and term paper counselling were all accepted by the students as means of achieving academic success. There was a significant difference in the perceived role of the digital theological library in achieving academic success among religious education students by the university. There was a significant difference in the perceived role of term paper counselling in achieving academic success among religious education students based on university. There was also a significant difference in the perceived role of university librarians in achieving academic success among religious education students based on university. The researchers noted that these findings have implications for university librarians across the universities and it was recommended that the use of digital theological libraries for academic purposes and term paper counselling should be strengthened. The paper examined the challenges of maintenance of paper based archival information materials and strategies for enhancement in academic libraries in South East, Nigeria which doubled as the objectives of the study. Descriptive survey research method was used for the study. The population consisted of 277 library staff in academic libraries of government owned institutions. Questionnaire and structured interview guide was used to collect data which was analyzed using the Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20. Mean scores and standard deviation were used to analyze data generated for the two research questions while ttest was used for the hypothesis. Real limits of numbers were used to determine the bench mark. The major findings of the study showed the challenges involved in maintenance of archival materials to include inadequate funding and tropical climate that breeds insects. The strategies involved in archival maintenance practices include: recruiting adequate personnel in libraries, provision of maintenance policies, adequate funding of libraries for proper maintenance of archives, proper control of insect by the use of insecticides and adequate training of maintenance personnel. The hypothesis tested revealed that there is no significant difference in the mean ratings between the male and female library staff in respect to strategies for maintenance practices of paper based archival paper materials in the academic libraries. The study investigated the inhibiting factors of selection and acquisition of grey literature in universities libraries. In carrying out this study four research questions were posed. The study employed a descriptive research design with a questionnaire as the research instrument. The study was carried out using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) application software. The findings of this study show that, grey literature contributed greatly to national development since they sometimes originate from scholars and grey literature are publications which served as important materials to users of academic libraries, among others. It also show that libraries select and acquire grey literature for academics research purposes, such as civil society or non-governmental organizations reports, academic works, research records, project, research reports, conference papers, and theses, dissertation and government documents, government reports, white papers, memoranda, conference proceedings, technical specifications, bibliographies and maps and evaluations, among others. The findings indicates that, academics libraries were facing numerous obstacles in selection and acquisition of grey literature such as grey literature is not accessible through the normal distribution channels, and grey literatures are hard to locate but which in most cases contain relevant and important data. Digital repositories play a crucial role in organizing and preserving vast collections of digital content. Efficiently ingesting large amounts of data into these repositories is a common challenge faced by institutions. This paper explores the use of bulk upload techniques in DSpace, an open-source digital repository software, to streamline the ingestion process and enhance repository management. We discuss the benefits of bulk upload in terms of time savings, metadata consistency, and scalability. Additionally, we delve into the technical aspects of implementing bulk upload in DSpace, covering the Simple Archive Format (SAF), metadata mapping, and handling of digital files. Furthermore, we highlight real-world examples and best practices for utilizing bulk upload in DSpace. By adopting this approach, institutions can significantly improve their efficiency in managing and preserving digital content, ensuring a seamless user experience, and facilitating knowledge dissemination. Here, an experimental method of research/case study technique is utilized to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the design model for implementation of the bulk uploading of documents in Dspace at Bennett University is practiced. The feedback is gathered in order to identify the flaws and make the necessary improvements. Simple Archive Format (SAF) is a utility that converts Bitstream/Content files plus a metadata.csv file into a Simple Archive Format package, making bulk uploads to the DSpace repository simple. All question papers were digitized using a high-quality scanner, an Excel file with Dublin core information was created, and Excel was converted to CSV format in order to import all old question papers in bulk into the Bennett University Digital Repository Services. Purpose The goal of this paper is to examine the literature published on information literacy (IL) between 2017 and 2021 and reveal the most important trends in IL publication. Design/methodology/approach Scopus database was used to analyze specific aspects of publishing trends by looking at the literature indexed from 2017 to 2021 in the field of IL. Findings In 2017, there was a significant increase in the number of citations to IL-related literature. In addition to "Janes-Jang SM" and the "College and Research Libraries," they were both prolific authors and sources. Most articles were published in the Journal of Academic Librarianship (97) during this time period. The United States was the most generous donor. Research in the IL field has recently focused on "information literacy," "academic libraries," "library instruction," and "assessment." The study investigated the awareness, perceptions and reactions on the Science Hub (Sci-Hub) website use among the postgraduate students of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. The objectives of the study were to find out the postgraduate students' level of awareness, perceptions and contributions of Science Hub website use for research and to ascertain their reactions and extent of satisfaction with it. The study adopted the survey research design. The population for the study comprised of postgraduate students of the university. Four faculties namely: Science, Health, Veterinary and Agriculture were purposively selected for the study. This is due to the fact that about 98.5% of the information resources in Science Hub are science, health and biomedical based. Simple random sampling was used to select one hundred and twenty (120) PG students that is thirty (30) each from the faculties under study. The questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. The data collected were analyzed descriptively using tables, frequency and simple percentage statistic tool. The study found out that only few postgraduate students are aware of the existence of Science Hub website for research, majority of the postgraduate students who are aware of the Si-Hub website are making use of it because it provide free access to expensive online articles and books, majority of the respondents who are aware of the Sci-Hub website make use of it after few hours and majority of the respondents who are aware of the Sci-Hub website make use of it after few hours, among others. The study concluded that Science Hub website renders significant information services delivery to the users. Hence it provides free access to expensive online articles and books that ordinarily would have been out of reach of many students and researchers. The study recommended that based on the significance of this site to academia, the university library may communicate its value as well as its copyright status quo to the students especially during orientation programmes and the postgraduate students of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto should take advantage of free access offered by Science Hub website and utilize it in addition to the proprietary databases provided by the university library, among others. Due to the increasing presence of artificial intelligence (AI) in developed countries, this paper examines the adoption of AI for effective library services in academic libraries in Nigeria. The paper defines artificial intelligence while chronicling its history. He also identified the advantages of adopting artificial intelligence in academic libraries, which include ease of use, endless functionality, and the ability to perform complex work, among others, and the challenges faced by library management towards adopting artificial intelligence, which include financial uncertainty, job loss, and technological defects, among others. This paper looked at the current global paradigms in cataloguing and the significance and difficulties for library adoption in developing countries like Nigeria. The quality of teaching and learning is the key to sustainable development. The library activities are always oriented towards offering the best possible resources and services to its users. From time to time, technological advancements have benefited them in accomplishing their objectives effectively. The internet of things (IoT) has recently been predicted to be a technology that will benefit librarians in their endeavours. The purpose of this article is to review selected scholarly papers on IoT applications in libraries in order to demonstrate the potential of IoT applications in library activities, particularly in the academic environment. The paper discusses several elements of IoT applications in libraries and cautions readers about possible consequences. The study is exploratory in nature, and national and international articles were culled from a variety of sources. Articles that recommended or advocated the use of IoT technology in libraries are included in the study. The study offers an in-depth analysis of IoT technologies for library use in five sections: introduction, concept of IoT, application of IoT in libraries, advantages and challenges in adopting IoT. Our review reveals that while several IoT applications have been developed for library usage, only a few libraries in western nations have implemented them, and the technology has not been extensively accepted, particularly in Indian libraries. Finally, concludes that, despite the cyber security concerns and hurdles, the introduction of IoT technology in libraries is critical for providing current services alongside traditional services to a vast mass of techno dexterous users at their chosen location. This study aimed to determine how the usage and understanding of open-source digital repositories affect measurements. This paper examines a DSpace and EPrints case study at Fiji National University. The idea of a digital repository is essential in research communities. Facilitating research in an open-access setting is essential. Open-access digital library software such as DSpace, EPrints, and Greenstone can address these problems. In contrast, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has fundamentally changed how individuals' access and engage with information. Since they provide accurate and up-to-date information and support an academic institution's primary objective, digital sources of information have become crucial to the current library collections in the academic environment. Nevertheless, as information and communication technology (ICT) has advanced, how individuals' access and engage with information has seen a revolutionary change, and the phrase "digital library" has proliferated throughout the library community. The effects of the pandemic, namely restrictions, closures, and other lockdown measures implemented to keep people safe and make it difficult or impossible to visit many locations and cultural events, have become increasingly evident with the advanced use of digital repositories in university libraries. Despite this, the epidemic has raised users' and researchers' awareness of digital access, making it more straightforward for people to obtain information, services, and other material resources online without considering the physical requirement to visit these places. Technological breakthroughs have caused significant changes in modern culture. The sharing and preserving of information, which has substantial worth and will last for decades, is essential for a generation's legacy. To gain skills for this software, professionals in the library and information science (LIS) area have gone through training on a variety of platforms. Findings from the study revealed that the application of AI in academic libraries have the potentials to increases productivity, improved customer satisfaction through personalization, easy availability and accessibility of information, easy collaboration and knowledge sharing, virtual assistance and chatbots, and ultimately increase overall operational effectiveness. Social media tools have obviously brought about a paradigm shift in the delivery of library services in Nigeria. The introduction of assistive resources within academic libraries in the 20th century positively affected library users (patrons) since they eased information access challenges for patrons living with impairments. However, most academic libraries in developing countries are still grappling with challenges relating to ensuring adequate services to patrons with visual impairment. Given this problem, this paper seeks to provide a better overview and understanding of what provisioning of assistive resources entails. Such an understanding would aid decision-making in academic libraries on the specific resources that should be acquired for patrons with visual impairment. In addition, this paper also went on to conceptualise the term patrons with visual impairment, this is because there has been confusion within most academic libraries on the specific individuals that fall within this category. Objective: The assessment of scholarly communication on the particular area of knowledge has been used frequently by the subject specialists. The current study aimed to observe the coverage of articles on the subject area of "Library Marketing" in one of the library and information science journals, Library Philosophy and Practice (ejournal). Methods: Data search was performed on the Elsevier's Scopus database on October 10, 2021. The name of the journal was written in the main search box after selecting the "source title" option and in the second search box, "library marketing" was written to refine the search result. The bibliographic records of the retrieved dataset were downloaded for the quantitative analysis. Microsoft Excel and VOS viewer software were used. Results: A total of 78 records on "library marketing" were found in the Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal), published between 2002 to October 10, 2021. The majority of the articles (62%) were published during the last three years (2019-2021). All the selected articles gained 139 citations, and 7 articles achieved the h-index scale. One hundred and sixty-five authors affiliated with 99 organizations of the 15 countries contributed to these articles. One-third of the articles were contributed by Nigerian researchers. "Marketing" and "Library Services" were found to be the prominent keywords. Conclusion: The study identified the literature on library marketing published in Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal) and create awareness among the potential researchers as well as library and information science professionals in understanding the subject coverage and its scope. Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to promote and share the research output of Bennett University (BU), India through Digital Repository Services (DRSs). It aims at encouraging, assisting and accelerating the research fraternity of the university. Design/methodology/approach -- This paper explains about the initiatives adopted by the LRC at BU for developing DRS using open-space software, Dspace for long-term preservation of intellectual assets and increase the visibility of the institute in global landscape. Findings -- DRS at BU was developed with an aim to preserve and disseminate the intellectual assets of BU, encourage budding talents and increase BU's visibility in global landscape. Despite the constraints at the experimental phase, DRS at BU collected over 707 publications (October 2021) and the number is ever increasing. Though there were some initial glitches before and after the implementation process but keeping a flexible approach, LRC will continue mapping solutions for BU. Originality/value -- This paper briefs the case study of one of the core services' initiation (DRS) including its design, development and implementation at LRC-BU using open-source software Dspace (Version 5.5). Due to the growing presence of artificial intelligence (AI) in developed countries, this paper looks at the adoption of artificial intelligence for effective library services in academic libraries in Nigeria. The paper describes the concept of artificial intelligence while tracing its origin. It further established the advantage of adopting artificial intelligence in academic libraries which include user-friendly, infinite functions, ability to take complex work among others; and the challenges faced by library management towards the adoption of artificial intelligence which include financial uncertainty, job loss, technological disadvantages among others. The present study is exhibited the preservation and conservation techniques in the college libraries of Diamond Harbour and Alipore subdivisions in the district of South 24parganas. It is also discusses degradation problems of print and non-print materials, causes of deterioration of library documents, and different obstacles to using preservation techniques. To secure the library materials in a good manner need to apply the preservation and conservation techniques which includes cleaning and dusting, use of insecticides and insect repellent such as Thymol, Dichlorovos, Dursban, Naphthalene balls, Neem leaf etc., besides that there is a provision for security systems of the college libraries to secure the library materials, mutilation and defacing of paper-based materials and shelving library documents to allow for free flow of air. But binding, photocopying, and use of insecticide and insect repellent for preservation are used occasionally. Hence, the results indicate that the different college libraries are more or less need to preserve their library documents according to the existing preservation policy as well as new preservation policy, and also college authorities should provide sufficient funds and engage skilled laborers. The purpose of this paper is to expose library and information personnel in academic libraries to the effective utilization of social media as an effective tool for re-defining and transforming academic library services in the 21st century. The specific objectives are to identify the types of social media used for effective library service provision in academic libraries, to identify the roles of social media in libraries, to identify the skills needed by librarians to effectively sustain library services through social media, to identify the major challenges associated with social media as a tool for service delivery and to develop strategies for effective adoption and utilization of social media as a tool for library service delivery. The methodology adopted is content analysis. The study was done by related literature review in which related articles on social media in academic libraries were analyzed. Hence, the study reviewed and analyzed the content of 21 articles in which topical issues based on this paper were addressed. The study revealed that social media are powerful tools that can enhance and promote library services. ICT has greatly changed how research, teaching and learning is done. In the past, these activities were aided mainly by manual databases consisting of paper or print material records. However, over the period of time this has dramatically changed to digital electronic formats such as portable document format (PDF). The goal of this paper was to examine the use of online databases by Nuclear Scientists of Ghana Atomic Energy Commission and review the literature available. A systematic review of 20 articles from 1970 to 2021 was conducted. The review covered studies on both quantitative and qualitative research approaches both locally and abroad. The findings revealed that from the older literature, awareness of the existence of online databases by patrons in their institutions was low. However from the current literature the trend has changed with patrons now been much aware of these online databases. Some problems identified as hindering the access to online databases included low bandwidth speed, and cost of infrastructure which are stumbling blocks especially in developing countries of which Ghana is a part. Recommendations included the provision and expansion of infrastructure, training programmes, information literacy, subscription to current and relevant online databases, conducting regular surveys and funding and financing of electronic resources. This paper examined the level of leadership and job performance of library personnel in University of Abuja, Nigeria. Survey research methodology was used with a total sample size of 202 library personnel in University of Abuja library using simple random sampling techniques. Data was collected mainly through questionnaire and analyzed using frequency distribution and descriptive statistics. The result revealed that the leadership of the University of Abuja library consulted his staff in taking decision at the same time a team player, friendly and provided mentorship to his subordinate. It was also revealed that respondents were of the opinion that leadership of the University of Abuja library encouraged staff to perform well in the job while others maintained that subordinate were relegated in the organization which is not healthy for any establishment. The result showed that the organizational performance was influenced by the leadership styles and personnel performance determined efficient and increase in job performance in University of Abuja library, while autocratic and transactional leadership style have less significant impacts on employee's job performance in the university library. This study has been designed to examine the digitalization of resources in academic libraries in Pakistan. The world continues its flow of digitalization through the internet such as people starting jobs online, online selling and purchasing businesses, online shares, and investment during the time of Coronavirus. Hence, the digitalization of libraries has no exemption. A purposive sampling technique has been employed to select 16 participants (8 students and 8 library professionals) from the academic library of the University of Gujrat. This paper intends to examine academic library services and facilities for university students at the tertiary level in Punjab. It has been observed that all educational institutions specifically higher education has an academic library to facilitate the students in terms of their academic activities and research-oriented tasks. This study has been conducted to measure the response of library patrons of two Public Sector Universities in Punjab, Pakistan. The unit of analysis has been based on the enrolled students of the University of Gujrat, Gujrat, and Government College University Faisalabad, Faisalabad, Pakistan. A sample of 16 students (8 students from each university and half male and female student ratio) has been selected using a purposive sampling technique. An interview guide has been developed and a case study method has been used to conduct in-depth interviews of the library Patrons. It is worth stating that researchers conducted interviews in the academic library of the relevant universities' main campus. Data analysis has been done with reference thematic analysis technique. The study finding asserted that library patrons reported that research support services and internet facilities had been provided by the library administration. Similarly, the study findings revealed that a silent zone of study, printing, and photocopy facility had been provided to support academic activities at the university. Likewise, the study results indicated that an online public access catalog, reference and periodical section, and open reading area had also been provided by the library staff to the library patron for the smooth running of research activities. PURPOSE: The paper examined the effect of library skills and literacy on the academic performance of undergraduate students at Kwara State University, Nigeria. DESIGN/METHODOLOGY: A descriptive survey method and random sampling techniques were used with 150 randomly selected students for the research. A self-designed questionnaire was used to elicit responses from the respondents, and a simple percentage ratio was adapted for data analysis. Findings: The result shows that most of the students do not have access to literacy facilities. It reveals a lack of application skills by the majority but shows the positive impact of information literacy on students' academic performance. The results show that 70% of the undergraduate students used their Smartphone's, while 30% did not use smart phones as a kind of information literacy facility for their academic performance. 93% used the Internet as the highest level of access for reading and writing skills, more than any other access window available. The results also showed that 70% said that information literacy skills can help beat the time, while 30% said no. Again, 74% said frequent power outages led to current literacy challenges. Authenticity and Value: It is recommended, among other things, that undergraduates register formally with the main library for better academic learning and achievement; The management of the university shall offer a compulsory and general course of study on information literacy to enable prospective graduates to acquire reading and writing skills for research, projects, and further studies; Frequent capacity building and training in information literacy skills should be organized for staff, undergraduates, and postgraduate students. In Nigeria, open and distance learning has become widely accepted. Even though there are a myriad of educational problems, workers, politicians, school leavers, and the public are finding the distance learning system a convenient and flexible mode to acquire education. Objective: This paper aims at determining students' attributes and utilization of information resources in academic libraries in Imo State. The study focused on four (4) Universities in Imo State while four (4) variables were considered: students' study habit, intellectual curiosity and information literacy skill, with a sample of one hundred and twenty (120) respondents. Methods: The sample respondents were drawn using a simple random sampling technique through structured questionnaires. The answer to the research questions were arrived at using the descriptive analysis while the hypotheses were tested using t-test at 5% level of significance. Results: The results show that the major determinants of students' utilization of library information resources are: students' information literacy skill to use the computer and Internet facilities provided to access information resources for their assignments; to explore new ideas and balance their study time with recreation to avoid conflict. The result also shows a significant relationship between students' study habit, intellectual curiosity, information literacy skill and utilization of information resources in the library. Conclusion: The extent of students' knowledge of how to access sources of information using computer and Internet facilities provided; students' desire to explore new ideas to among others update themselves and carry out their class assignments affects their utilization of library information resources. This paper investigates the effects of virtual library on the academic performance of undergraduate students in the Department of Medicine and Surgery, Benue State University, Makurdi. A case study design is used for the study. The population of the study comprises 392 undergraduate medical students of the department, and the sample size of 198 undergraduate medical students is used based on Taro Yamane's model. The instrument adopts for data collection is questionnaire. The data collected are analyzed using simple percentages and presented in tables. The findings of the study reveal that majority of the undergraduate medical students are not properly conversant with the facilities in the virtual library, the extent of their use of virtual library is very low because they are choked with series of lectures and clinical engagements, and the utilization of virtual library resources has position effects on their academic performance without any negative impact. In addition, the study finds out that the challenges hampering the effective use of virtual library by the medical undergraduate students are unstable power supply, poor or fluctuating internet connectivity, and lack of free space to consult the virtual library resources. Based on the findings, the study recommends that the administrators of the Department of Medicine and Surgery in collaboration with the College of Health Sciences should organize series of seminars to sensitize the undergraduate medical students on the importance of the facilities housed in the virtual library. Equally, there should be provision of adequate power supply, adequate and sufficient internet connectivity in the virtual library, and sufficient break time from lectures and clinical engagements should be allocated to encourage the effective use of virtual library. In this paper, we examine how public libraries promote development of good reading habits among the users who come to access for information. It explores how far-in this digital age, public and academic libraries are able to meet the information needs of society. By developing a theoretical model of access to and usage of information based on axioms that set forth the role of public libraries in the services of society, we attempt to examine and analyze how PLs promote adult literacy drive that have positive contribution to society. Community public library systems are thus examined and their role model clearly decimated. We find that public libraries have still much relevance in supporting readers and promoting literacy drive. This paper investigated user satisfaction as a predictor to library patronage among undergraduate students in Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. The instrument used was a self-developed questionnaire by the researchers. The questionnaire validation was subjected to the scrutiny of the experts in the areas of the variables studied; it gave a reliability coefficient of 0.855 (85.5%) for library patronage and 0.837 (83.7%) for user satisfaction. A response rate of 100% was achieved. Data were analyzed using descriptive (percentage, mean, average mean and standard deviation) and inferential (Pearson Product Moment Correlation) statistics. The study revealed a significant relationship between library patronage and user satisfaction (r = 0.000c, N = 100, P < 0.05) among undergraduate students in Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State. The study concluded that adequate customer care services from the library staff would increase undergraduate students' library patronage. It is recommended that university management in conjunction with the university library management should ensure adequate provision of relevant and current information resources for the students use in the library. This paper reports an examination of effective serials management practices in some academic libraries in Niger state. The study specifically investigated the types of serial materials in the libraries. It also examined the acquisition methods as well as methods applied in organizing serial materials in the studied libraries. Challenges bedeviling effective management of serial information sources also form the objective. The study further made a review from different sources on management of serials in libraries. The population of the study consisted of twenty three (23) staff manning the serials units of the affected libraries. Questionnaire and observation check-list were used as the instruments for data collection. 23 copies of questionnaire and observation check-list were distributed, filled and completely (100%) returned for data analysis. Descriptive statistics of frequency and percentages was used for data analysis. The study revealed that Newspapers, magazines and academic journals are the major serial materials available in the academic libraries. Direct purchase from book vendors, Constant subscription of physical serials and online databases were the main methods applied in acquiring serials in the libraries. It discovered that shelving and shelf reading, carding among other were the organizational techniques adopted by the libraries. Paucity of funds, Inadequate ICT facilities as well as inadequate working tools was the factors bedeviling effective serials management in the libraries. The study thus recommended among others that adequate funds be allocated to the libraries, online subscription be enhanced, conducive working environment for library personnel, independent power sources be provided to the academic libraries. The paper examines the awareness and adoption of mobile technology-based library services in Federal Polytechnic in Southwest Nigeria. To achieve the set objectives, the study adopted descriptive survey with a mixed method that is quantitative and qualitative approaches. The targeted population for the study was registered users for 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic sessions of Federal Polytechnics in Southwest Nigeria. The sample size for the study was 390 registered users which represented 10% of the student's population and 10 library staff was justified by the recommendation made by Nwana (1992). The convenience sampling technique was be used. The data were analysed using Statistical Products for Service Solutions (SPSS) version 22.0. The study revealed that there is profound appreciation and demand for mobile technology-based library services among students of the Federal Polytechnics in Southwest Nigeria, which is yet to be met. It was also revealed that library management plan to introduce the following mobile technology- based library services in the future; mobile online public access catalogue (MOPAC), mobile SMS alert services among others. It was concluded that there is a strong awareness of mobile technology- based library services among students. The study recommended that academic libraries should put in place a program to continuously develop their human resources through recruitment and professional training; there must be a culture of training for the entire library staff to ensure that they keep abreast with trends and changes in technology in relation to library service provision among others. The study adopted descriptive survey design with one research question and one hypothesis was formulated.
