Abstract

The article investigates the formation of a crystalline interface by polyacrylic acid and tooth enamel. The crystalline deposit that bonded firmly to the tooth surface contained gypsum and hydroxyapatite. The conclusion is that a polyacrylic-acid solution's viscosity promotes crystal growth and possibly nucleation.
