This paper analyzes knowledge-oriented leadership and coordination as factors that help organisations to reduce conflicts in workplace relationships, with the aim of improving innovation capabilities. To date, these factors remain underexplored in the hotel industry, the future sustainability of which depends on the development of new services and business processes. This paper proposes a series of hypotheses about the role of knowledge-oriented leadership and coordination in developing an environment that is conducive to reducing conflicts, the result of which is an improvement in the innovation capabilities of hotel establishments. The hypothesised relationships between variables have been tested by means of structural equation modelling using SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that innovation capabilities improve when hotel establishments implement this type of leadership adequately as, with the use of knowledge management tools, the coordination of tasks is improved, thereby reducing the negative effects of workplace relationship conflict. This paper presents a dynamic closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) model, incorporating a manufacturer, a retailer, and an internet recycling platform (IRP), utilizing differential game theory while considering the forgetting effect of consumers. The model encompasses factors such as the quality level of used products and Big Data marketing (BDM), comparing optimal equilibriums under decentralized and cooperative decision scenarios. To effectively coordinate the dynamic CLSC at each time point, we propose a revenue-sharing and cost-sharing (RSCS) combined contract. In addition to ensuring reasonable sharing of revenues and costs, this contract allows the manufacturer to flexibly adjust wholesale prices for final products and transfer prices for used products in order to distribute profits appropriately and achieve Pareto optimality within the CLSC system. Furthermore, our results indicate that there exists a threshold for Big Data marketing efficiency; high-efficiency BDM not only facilitates increased recycling on Internet platforms but also reduces unit recycling costs for enterprises. Interestingly, when implementing the combined contract, Big Data marketing efficiency does not impact the transfer price paid by manufacturers to Internet recycling platforms. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper studies a cooperating mode selection problem of a manufacturer who sells its products through an offline channel and an online platform under cap-and-trade regulation. The platform can operate with marketplace or reselling mode. We investigate the manufacturer’s optimal operational decisions and selection of the platform’s modes considering demand disruptions. First, when the carbon cap decreases in the application process, this regulation is firstly easy and then hard to be implemented if the cross-channel effect is small. Even though the platform increases its commission rate, greater cross-channel effect can still bring more production. Second, the increase of demand disruptions brings more profits for the manufacturer and the platform. Specifically, considering demand disruptions, the total profit with reselling mode in decentralised case is larger than that in centralised case under some situations. Third, without demand disruptions, the manufacturer prefers marketplace mode (reselling mode) if the commission rate is low (high). However, demand disruptions make the manufacturer’s mode selection a little complicated. Lastly, without demand disruptions, the two firms can be coordinated with reselling mode but cannot be coordinated with marketplace mode. The paper focuses on a three-echelon supply chain consisting of a green supplier, a green manufacturer and a retailer. Considering the dynamic changes in product greenness, differential games are employed to investigate product prices, green efforts and coordination in the system. By comparing equilibrium results in various scenarios, it is found that supply chain decision-makers invest more in green efforts to maximize their profits under centralized decision, while they select pricing tools under decentralized decision. Importantly, when a local alliance composed of the supplier and manufacturer supplies products to the retailer at a flexible and dynamic wholesale price, the two-part tariff contract can fully coordinate the three-echelon green supply chain. The Rubinstein bargaining model is then used to optimize the profit allocation within the alliance. Additionally, the impact of green effort efficiency on decision-making is explored, revealing that green efforts depend on the efficiency of green efforts, while product pricing has nothing to do with the efficiency of efforts. A coordinated control of front/rear traction, four-wheel independent braking, and an active roll control system is proposed in this paper to improve overall vehicle cornering performance. The control algorithm is structured in a hierarchical form: the supervisory controller is used to calculate the desired yaw rate and roll angle based on the driver input and vehicle states; the upper-level controller is utilized to decide the target longitudinal tire forces, yaw moment, and anti-roll moment based on the sliding mode control method; and the control allocator is used to optimally map the virtual control input to the control commands of specific actuators. Co-simulations of MATLAB/Simulink and CarSim were conducted to verify the performance enhancement of the proposed controller. The results suggest that the proposed controller can effectively enhance the driving performance in limit cornering while maintaining lateral stability, and it reduces tire usage, as indicated by the index of tire dissipation energy when compared to control methods such as AWD, AWD-ESC, and ICC. A research gap exists in the understanding of multi-level governance for watersheds in Kenya under the current devolved framework. This paper uses the Migori River watershed as a case study to elaborate on the institutional arrangement in the management of the watershed and how it influences the nature and level of coordination among the actors involved. The data was collected through semi-structured interviews and content analysis of secondary data. The target institutions were selected based on existing policy and legal frameworks, press releases, and published administrative reports. Respondents for the semi-structured interviews were identified through purposive and snowball sampling techniques. The qualitative data was then analysed through content analysis. After analysis of the nature of coordination, a panel of experts rated each coordination dimension based on a comparison between the findings and the baseline indicators. The results on the structure and roles of institutions revealed adequate representation of the river basin management actors, but the associations among actors are weak due to overlapping mandates and gaps in the administration processes of river basin management programs. Coordination exists, but it is not all-encompassing; whereas efforts to collaborate were noted, they were inconsistent and tended to be on a per-need basis due to a lack of a common forum for stakeholder interactions and a common management plan for a clear vision and direction of actors' activities. There is an unclear delineation of roles in the institutional structure and thus causing institutional complexity, which further undermines coordination. To address the coordination gaps, the paper recommends the creation of a management council for the watershed to provide a central forum for the stakeholders' interaction, with a designated lead agency that organizes and facilitates meetings, oversees communications, and manages any emerging challenges, gaps and opportunities in collective actions. Purpose: This paper aims to explore the interdisciplinary nature of coordination challenges in the logistic response to food safety incidents while distinguishing the food supply chain positions involved. Design/methodology/approach: This adopts an exploratory qualitative research approach over a period of 11 years. Multiple research periods generated 38 semi-structured interviews and 2 focus groups. All data is analysed by a thematic analysis. Findings: The authors identified four key coordination challenges in the logistics response to food safety incidents: first, information quality (sharing information and the applied technology) appears to be seen as the biggest challenge for the response; second, more emphasis on external coordination focus is required; third, more extensive emphasis is needed on the proactive phase in the logistic response; fourth, a distinct difference exists in the position's views on coordination in the food supply chain. Furthermore, the data supports the interdisciplinary nature as disciplines such as operations management, strategy and organisation but also food safety and risk management, have to work together to align a rapid response, depending on the incident's specifics. Research limitations/implications: The paper shows the need for comprehensively reviewing and elaborating on the research gap in coordination decisions for the logistic response to food safety incidents while using the views of the different supply chain positions. The empirical data indicates the interdisciplinary nature of these coordination decisions, supporting the need for more attention to the interdisciplinary food research agenda. The findings also indicate the need for more attention to organisational learning, and an open and active debate on exploratory qualitative research approaches over a long period of time, as this is not widely used in supply chain management studies. Practical implications: The results of this paper do not present a managerial blueprint but can be helpful for practitioners dealing with aspects of decision-making by the food supply chain positions. The findings help practitioners to systematically go through all phases of the decision-making process for designing an effective logistic response to food safety incidents. Furthermore, the results provide insight into the distinct differences in views of the supply chain positions on the coordination decision-making process, which is helpful for managers to better understand in what phase(s) and why other positions might make different decisions. Social implications: The findings add value for the general public, as an effective logistic response contributes to consumer's trust in food safety by creating more transparency in the decisions made during a food safety incident. As food sources are and will remain essential for human existence, the need to contribute to knowledge related to aspects of food safety is evident because it will be impossible to prevent all food safety incidents. Originality/value: As the main contribution, this study provides a systematic and interdisciplinary understanding of the coordination decision-making process for the logistic response to food safety incidents while distinguishing the views of the supply chain positions. This paper considers a supply chain consisting of a manufacturer and a retailer. The manufacturer sells its products through the retailer and an online platform and adopts green technology in the blockchain era. The platform can operate with marketplace mode or reselling mode. The network effect is considered to reflect the power of the platform to enlarge the potential market size. In the decentralised supply chain, the online platform encroaches the offline demand despite the same retail price. The increase of the network coefficient improves the abatement level, and benefits the manufacturer and the platform but damages the retailer's profit. For the supply chain coordination, the abatement level with reselling mode in the centralised supply chain is less than that in the decentralised supply chain if the network coefficient is high. Both marketplace mode and reselling mode can coordinate the supply chain if the network coefficient is low. Blockchain technology helps the products become greener and brings more profits for the manufacturer and the platform. And it induces supply chain coordination. Based on the contradiction between the infinite demand of trade activities and the limited nature of environmental resources, this paper explores the coordinated development path of international trade activities and ecological environment from the perspective of law and policy. The ecological environment referred to in this paper is primarily concerned with environmental factors, particularly environmental pollution. First of all, this paper analyzes the current situation of international trade and the ecological environment, and it focuses on China. On this basis, the relationship between trade activities and ecological environment and the nature of the conflict between the two are explored. This paper holds that there is a dialectical unity relationship between the two, and the essence of the conflict between the two lies in the conflict between economic interests and environmental public welfare. Secondly, this paper examines and analyzes the current policies related to international trade and environment and resources, including multilateral principles, WTO rules and regional trade agreements, and focuses on the development trend of current environmental policies and trade policies, and the formulation of relevant trade policies increasingly focuses on environmental protection. Finally, in order to strengthen the coordination between the two and achieve a win-win situation between sustainable economic development and environmental protection, this paper puts forward some feasible suggestions, such as continuously promoting the integration of trade policy and environmental policy, advocating green trade, and drawing on existing excellent experience. The paper argues that the UK's endemic regional–national productivity problems cannot be addressed by the UK's current institutional and governance set-up. This paper argues that the establishment of an appropriate institution, body or forum is essential in order to fill the current governance vacuum. The appropriate nature, form and logic of such a body can be gleaned by observing various international comparator bodies which undertake different aspects of the types of roles and tasks that a UK body must necessarily undertake. This paper explores how the phenomenon of Joint Attention (JA) drives certain core features of team sport and how sport illuminates the nature of JA. In JA, two or more agents focus on the same object in mutual awareness that the content of their experience is thus shared. JA is essential to joint sporting actions. The sporting context is particularly useful for illustrating the phenomenon of JA and provides a valuable lens through which to examine rival theoretical accounts of its workings. This paper draws novel connections between the respective philosophical literatures on JA and sport, suggesting prospects for mutually advantageous cross-pollination. I contend that the workings of JA within joint sporting action are misconstrued on intellectualistic and individualistic theories which posit reductive explanations in terms of the contents of individual minds. The best evidence and strongest philosophical arguments support 'relational' accounts whereby joint sporting actions exceed the sum of their parts. I reject the 'extensionalist' contention, associated with 'lean' versions of the relationalist approach, that objects of JA are individuated in terms of causal properties not sensitive to how they are perceived. Siding instead with 'rich' versions of the view, I argue that team collaboration depends on convergence in terms of the 'aspectual shape' of the objects of JA. Finally, a further possible application for these ideas is suggested: that JA plays a central role in the constitution of sport-specific kinds. On this proposal, JA facilitates collective perceptual recognition of particular objects and situations as embodying the general types described in the rulebook, playing an important role in creating and sustaining the public 'social space' of sporting competition. More patients are being discharged early from hospital and increasing numbers of patients have complex health care needs and receive care in the primary health care sector. To ensure efficient coordination and continuity of care, access to relevant information is crucial. We report from two Norwegian municipalities that, during an innovation project, transferred their information system from a paper-based to a digital coordination system. Workshops and interviews were conducted to address the considerations, reflections and dilemmas of the actors involved during the innovation process. The analysis provided three main themes which were: 1) transition from paper-based to digital overviews; 2) transition from individual patient information to a digital overview of groups of patients; and 3) transition from use of telephone to digital exchange of information. The actors had to overcome several challenges. Nevertheless, the outcome was that they were provided with contextualised information enabling efficiency and patient safety in their coordination work. The inability of Nordic governments to coordinate their COVID-19 pandemic responses on social distancing and travel restrictions has puzzled observers and raised concerns for the future of Nordic cooperation. However, little academic attention has been directed so far to the collective Nordic response to the pandemic. In the first comprehensive account of Nordic health coordination and cooperation during the pandemic, this article investigates a paradox: how did one of the oldest regional units in Europe, with the current ambition of becoming the “most sustainable and integrated region in the world in 2030”, become one of the most inconsistent and divided once the pandemic hit? This paper argues that the recent developments have roots in the overall decline of the Nordic regional model. Increasingly based on broad commitments and informal coordination, Nordic solidarity has shown its limits in a time of crisis – leaving the Nordic project on the brink of marginalisation between the domestic and European levels. Prior research investigating situations involving one trustor and multiple trustees often examines how a trustor's trust in one party affects their amount of trust in another party. This paper fills a gap by predicting the effects of trust. The Perceived Influence (PI) Model of Trust is an individual-level model focused on the perceptions of a trustor. It builds upon the Mayer et al. (1995) model by integrating insights from literature on task interdependence and expanding to two trustees. The PI model describes and explains three possibilities for how a trustor's trust in two trustees may combine to form a sense of aggregate multi-trustee trust via: (1) additive effects, such that the trustor's trust in each of the trustees has independent effects on the aggregate; (2) compulsory effects, such that increasing the amount of trust in one trustee increases the effect of trust in the other trustee; and (3) compensatory effects, such that increasing trust in one trustee decreases the effect of trust in the other trustee. We propose that the theoretical mechanism explaining which of these three possibilities takes place is the trustor's perceived influence of the trustees, which is tightly linked to perceptions of task requirements necessary to attenuate the trustor's risk. The PI model begins to fill an important gap in the literature pertaining to pervasive, but rarely considered, multi-trustee situations, and proposes the importance of trustor perceptions of trustee influence and task requirements for future models of trust. Increasing resilience to flooding is a complex process that requires horizontal and vertical coordination between institutions in policy making and implementation. This paper explores the effect of institutional coordination on managing flood risk in two cities plagued by flooding. Our results show that efforts on building urban flood resilience can be undermined by lack of proper coordination between urban development, water management and land use planning. We find that this complexity is magnified by the emergence of the concept of resilience as an urban development goal that is increasingly pursued by various authorities, but that is inherently contested in practice. Strategies based on performance measurement and feedback are commonly used to support quality improvement among nurses. These strategies require practice change, which, for nurses, rely to a large extent on their capacity to coordinate with each other effectively. However, the levers for coordinated action are difficult to mobilize. This discussion paper offers a theoretical reflection on the challenges related to coordinating nurses' actions in the context of practice changes initiated by performance measurement and feedback strategies. We explore how Jürgen Habermas' theory of Communicative Action may shed light on the issues underlying nurses' collective actions and self‐determination in practice change and the implications for the design of strategies based on performance measurement and feedback. Based on this theory, we propose differences between communicative and functional coordination according to the nature of the actions and the purposes involved. The domains of action underlying these coordination processes, which Habermas referred to as the lifeworld and the system, are then used to draw a parallel with aspects of nursing practice. Basketball is a sport that requires basic and motor characteristics such as strength, speed, endurance and coordination, high-intensity activities such as jumping, dribbling, shooting, blocking and sprinting. It is also a sports discipline that requires aerobic and anaerobic energy processes as well as including intense activities such as jump shooting, blocking shots, movements with rapid changes of direction and high speed. In this discipline, there are many characteristics that affect performance and proper execution of technical and tactical elements according to the positions of the game. The purpose of this paper literature review is to investigate and research the impact of training programs on physical parameters in basketball in age groups. To successfully realize this review paper we studied and analyzed contemporary scientific literature. In this literature review, basic principles of selection in several stages of literature by means keywords are used based on works. Major databases were used through the Jab Ref program such as Cross Ref, DOAJ, Inspire, Web of Science, Scopus, and Sport Discus in the last 10 years. In the literature used, one can clearly see importance of understanding that, higher quality level of sportsman movement culture, higher level of mastery of teaching tasks and higher level of movement skills education. Studies on China's success in the electric vehicle industry overlook the role of regional clustering and regional electric vehicle policies in supporting sustainable production and consumption. This paper adopts a mixed-method policy inventory and analysis to examine the rise of the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry in China's Greater Bay Area. It also systematically analyses the policies implemented by the central government, province, and cities in building a sustainable regional industry. A core dilemma is that cities are competing with one another for NEV development, yet regional industrial development requires coordination and cooperation. Examining the four policy areas of production, consumption, infrastructure support, and pollution suppression reveals that the competition among cities can be a driving force for the adoption of sustainable technology when supported by regional policy coordination. This paper traces the evolution of scholarship in motor learning and development over the last ∼100 years, with a focus on contributions by Fellows from the National Academy of Kinesiology (NAK). It begins with a brief discussion of the centrality of motor skillfulness in kinesiology, followed by a discussion of the appropriate label for the study of motor learning and development. The bulk of the paper focuses on the important events and milestones in the field and an examination of the most influential frameworks and models that NAK Fellows have put forward to guide research. The final section looks at future prospects and challenges for the field. Two key findings emerge: (a) Considerable overlap exists in the theoretical frameworks, conceptual models, empirical questions, research methodologies, and practical applications that dominate scholarship in motor learning and development, and (b) NAK Fellows have made enormous contributions to the field. In ensuring sustainable power delivery under rapid growth in demand, modern power grids are characterized by advanced solutions such as flexible alternating current transmission systems and distributed generation. However, flexible alternating current transmission systems and distributed generations are often planned by their respective system operators, ignoring their coordination and impacting system-wide performance. This paper develops a bi-level optimization approach for flexible alternating current transmission systems and distributed generation coordination in an integrated transmission and distribution network to improve available transfer capability, power losses, and voltage deviation. The approach comprises inner and outer optimization. Inner optimization implements a hybrid of particle swarm optimization and Active Power Flow Performance Index for flexible alternating current transmission systems' planning. At the same time, the outer optimization employs multi-objective particle swarm optimization, which targets distributed generation planning at the distribution network--the integrated transmission and distribution network models' both transmission and distribution section. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed approach, two models of distributed generations, only real power and real and reactive power injections, were separately coordinated with a thyristor-controlled series compensator and static synchronous series compensator. Results show superior available transfer capability enhancement with thyristor-controlled series compensator-power injectionsDG and static synchronous series compensator-power injectionsDG, compared to the non-coordinated scenario. Pareto front plots of available transfer capability, power losses, and voltage deviation are such that after some maximum available transfer capability, the slope of the Pareto approaches zero. With the penetration of distributed resources into power distribution networks, power distribution networks are transforming into active distribution networks with a high proportion of distributed generations and power electronic equipment. Efficient modeling and simulation methods are essential to perform dynamic response analysis. In order to satisfy the fast/steady/slow multiple time-scale simulation requirements of active distribution networks, a fast/medium/slow time partition model and a network decoupling method for short line characteristic lines is proposed in this paper. Through the decomposition coordination simulation method, the network is decomposed into multiple regions that can be simulated in parallel. Based on the interconnection of fiber optic network cards, a multi-rate parallel simulation and synchronization strategy is proposed, which significantly improves the simulation speed of active distribution networks while ensuring simulation accuracy. The numerical experiments have been conducted based on a modified IEEE 33-bus and a PG&E 69-bus, and simulation results show the feasibility of the proposed method. The verification results of the example show that using adaptive variable-step-size multi-rate parallel simulation technology can increase the subnet computation-time balance rate and simulation acceleration ratio to 119.90% and 121.31% in the same rate-parallel mode. After the fall of communist regime in Romania, the structure of Romania's Government Working Apparatus (the Government Office) was subject to several reforms trying to establish an adequate role for each of the entities. Although the composition of the Government Working Apparatus may vary, its central piece is the General Secretariat of the Government (GSG), which, in governments with a strong prime minister, has tried to share power with the Prime Minister's Chancellery. The aim of this paper is to explore the evolution of the reforms of the Government's Working Apparatus (Government Office) in Romania after 2001 and how the functions between the General Secretariat of Government and the Prime Minister's Chancellery are divided after the recent reforms within the Centre of Government in order to assure a better coordination. The methodology of this paper consists in a content analysis of the legal framework, public administration reform strategies, technical reports of some projects conducted by the General Secretariat of Romania's Government and World Bank's studies and reports. This paper reports aspects on a longitudinal study between 2001-2021, which set out to examine and evaluate the roles of different organisational structure within Romania's Government Office. The empirical data of this paper were also collected through a series of discussions with top public policy makers in charge with reform of central public administration. The General Secretariat of the Government (GSG) has always possessed a central role in the structure of the Government Office, its part being to assure the technical and strategic operations regarding Government acts and to solve the organisational, judicial, economic, and technical problems of Government and prime-minister's activity, also the representation of the Government in the justice. GSG is the element of connection and stability of governance that assures the framework for decision making process. Recently, in February 2020, the Orban Government has approved two government decisions by which both the Prime Minister's Chancellery and the General Secretariat of the Government have been reorganised. Both measures were part of the priorities of the Government Program, namely improving the efficiency of public administration, aiming at reforming the Centre of Government. Thus, the functions of the two structures were better defined and delimited, in the sense that the General Secretariat of the Government was to provide the technical / administrative secretariat of the Government, while the Chancellery would have the role of strategic coordination. In this sense, within the Chancellery operated the Centre for Analysis and Strategy and the Independent Scientific Council, while subordinated to the General Secretariat of the Government were the institutions which were to provide data and information to the Chancellery for analysis and studies that would underpin public policy programs. The essential role of the Chancellery thus became to coordinate the ministries in the process of elaboration and monitoring of the institutional strategic plans, to approve the governmental strategies, precisely to ensure the correlation of these strategies, as well as to correlate the elaboration, implementation and monitoring of public policies. Unfortunately, this reform was implemented only for a short period of time and nowadays, in January 2021, when a new prime-minister has come, the role of the Chancellery was diminished once again. Its role was focused on communication and relation with media and on the coordination, at the level of the Government Office, of the reform process regarding public administration and relation with civil society and social partners. Living systems at any given moment enact a very constrained set of end‐directed and contextually appropriate actions that are self‐initiated from among innumerable possible alternatives. However, these constrained actions are not necessarily because the system has reduced its sensitivities to themselves and their surroundings. Quite the contrary, living systems are continually open to novel and unanticipated stimulations that require a physiology of coordination. To address these competing demands, this paper offers a novel heuristic model informed by neuroscience, systems theory, biology and sign study to explain how organisms situated in diverse, complex and ever‐changing environments might draw upon the sparse order made available by 'relevant noise'. This emergent order facilitates coordination, habituation and, ultimately, understanding of the world and its relevant affordances. Inspired by the burgeoning field of coordination dynamics and physiologist Denis Noble's concept of 'biological relativity', this model proposes a view of coordination on the neuronal level that is neither sequential nor stochastic, but instead implements a causal logic of phasic alignment, such that an organism's learned and inherited sets of diverse biological affinities and sympathies can be resolved into a continuous and complex range of patterns that will implement the kind of novel orientations and radical generativity required of such organisms to adaptively explore their environments and to learn from their experiences. [Gd(HP‐DO3A)] (gadoteridol) as an active compound of ProHance® is a widely employed contrast agent in clinical MRI scans in the last 30 years. Recent concerns about the long‐term retention of gadolinium‐based contrast agents (GBCAs) led to a deeper investigation of the structural features underlying the integrity of the paramagnetic metal complex. Several human and nonclinical studies have noted marked differences among the macrocyclic GBCAs, with the least retention of Gd traces and most rapid elimination consistently being reported for [Gd(HP‐DO3A)]. It was deemed of interest to assess how minor structural/electronic changes associated to the ligand structure may affect basic properties of the metal complex with several [Gd(HP‐DO3A)] analogues synthesized and characterized in the last years. We recently reported that the closest homolog of [Gd(HP‐DO3A)], i. e.: [Gd(HB‐DO3A)], in which a (±)‐2‐hydroxy‐1‐propyl pendant arm is replaced by a (±)‐2‐hydroxy‐1‐butyl moiety, showed a significantly different retention behaviour in the model interaction with collagen, despite the apparently very minor structural difference. In this paper we report a comprehensive study of the structural, thermodynamic, kinetic and relaxation properties of [Gd(HB‐DO3A)], compared to the parent [Gd(HP‐DO3A)] and to other closely related macrocyclic GBCAs to assess whether very minor structural changes can modulate the physico‐chemical properties of Gd3+ complexes. This paper explores the significant impact of e-commerce and investigates manufacturers' decision-making processes regarding the opening of e-shops and the adoption of online and offline coordination strategies to enhance profits in an e-commerce environment. A novel three-channel model with asymmetric retailers is proposed, and three scenarios are analyzed: the initial dual-channel scenario, the multi-channel scenario with e-platform, and the "Order online, Pickup offline" coordinated scenario. By comparing optimal profits across these scenarios, decision-making inequalities for manufacturers are derived. Subsequently, numerical experiments validate that manufacturers, aiming to maximize profits, opt to establish an e-commerce channel and coordinate with offline retailers. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of e-platforms in setting commission rates to drive increased profits. The findings offer practical implications for manufacturers to engage in interest-balanced coordination, enabling them to adapt to evolving retail dynamics in the advancing e-commerce landscape from both theoretical and practical perspectives. In this paper is present the procedure for introducing the coordination of light signals at five intersections on the Boulevard "St. Kliment Ohridski" in Skopje. The primary purpose of a traffic signal is to assign the right-of-way to intersecting traffic streams for the purpose of ensuring that all streams are served safely and without excessive delay. A properly designed and timed signalized intersection will minimize fuel consumption, delay, and stops without having an adverse effect on safety. Travelers will realize one or more of the following benefits at intersections where the traffic signal is needed, properly designed, and well timed: orderly movement of traffic, increase in the traffic-carrying capacity of the intersection, reduction in the frequency and severity of certain types of crashes, progressed traffic when traveling in a coordinated signal system, and interruption of heavy traffic flow to provide safe opportunities for minor movements. Coordinated signal timing synchronizes traffic movements and manages the progression speed of specific modes where uninterrupted flow is desired along a corridor. While traditionally applied to increase vehicular traffic flow and reduce peak-hour delay, coordinated signal timing can also be optimized for slower speeds, creating an uninterrupted flow for bicyclists or low vehicle progression speeds for a pedestrian-friendly downtown. Signals may also be timed to coordinate transit headways along routes where regular transit service is consistent and has low variability. Coordination of traffic signals can reduce the number of stops along a corridor and provide for a continuous flow of traffic at the target speed. This paper focuses on a two-echelon supply chain consisting of a seller and a buyer. Considering the case where the buyer faces uncertain demand and yield, the paper investigates the buyback contract for the supply chain and studies how the yield uncertainty and the relative bargaining power affect the performance of buyback contract. The results suggest that when the seller's bargaining power is relatively high and can control the uncertain yield, the buyback contract is sufficient to coordinate the supply chain. Conversely, when the seller's bargaining power is relatively low or cannot guarantee yield stability, the buyback contract does not work. To coordinate such a supply chain, a combined contract named Buy-Back-Revenue-Sharing contract is proposed. Furthermore, this paper presents the optimal orders to maximize the profits of the buyer and the whole supply chain and it finds that if the seller cannot control the yield, the buyer will place fewer orders and both parties will gain lower profit with supply chain coordination. The World Health Organization (WHO) announced in 2021 a commitment to develop a comprehensive framework for integrated action on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of anemia and to establish an Anaemia Action Alliance to support the implementation of the framework. In practice, firms face a number of scarce innovation projects. They choose one towards which to direct their effort, but do not coordinate these choices. This gives rise to coordination frictions. This paper develops an expanding-variety endogenous growth model to study the implications of these frictions for growth and welfare. We find that the coordination failure generates a number of foregone innovations and reduces the economy-wide research intensity. Both effects decrease the growth rate. This creates a general equilibrium effect that endogenously amplifies the fraction of wasteful simultaneous innovation. Furthermore, formalizing the coordination frictions uncovers a novel link between the "stepping on toes" and "standing on shoulders" externalities—their magnitudes are endogenously determined through the ratio of firms to innovation projects. This paper presents a novel account for the optionality of negative concord observed with neither...nor coordinations, in an otherwise strict negative concord language—Turkish. I argue that the apparently optional negative concord is a surface phenomenon that can be traced back to a structural ambiguity arising from the type-flexibility of coordination operators. The semantic type of the coordination affects its syntactic position relative to the Turkish NegP, which results in different surface facts: whenever the neither...nor coordination is of a generalized quantifier type, it originates in the vP below the NegP, akin to other negative concord items like nobody, triggering negative concord with sentential negation; whenever it is a propositional coordination, it contains the NegP position, and there is no negative concord. We can account for this exceptionally optional negative concord phenomenon by seamlessly importing these facts into an existing negative concord architecture (Zeijlstra 2004, 2012), with no significant modifications. This reductionist analysis contrasts with alternative approaches that explain optionality by adding complexity to the mechanics of the negative concord system (Şener and İşsever 2003 for Turkish; Szabolcsi 2018a for Hungarian). Finally, this account crucially relies on a theory of coordination operators as type-flexible, and therefore contributes an argument against a view of coordinators as having a rigid propositional type (Hirsch 2017; Schein 2017). According to intentionalism, the semantic reference of the uses of demonstratives is fixed, at least partly, by the speaker’s referential intention. In this paper, I argue against the possibility of the existence of a semantic convention of this sort. My argument is placed in the Lewisian framework of signaling games and consists of several steps that correspond to four anti-intentionalist arguments, already present in the literature, that have proven inconclusive when employed separately and without being set in the mentioned framework. The paper briefly sketches different "adaptations" possible to address the Covid crisis and then advances three possible avenues for future policy analysis of Covid-related measures, each of these avenues being based on a "conjecture", respectively an evolutionary, a critical, and a cosmopolitan, and conjecture. The evolutionary conjecture implies regulatory transplants, the critical conjecture elicits competition of Covid-related measures, and the cosmopolitan conjecture assumes coordination of policies. The paper discusses how these conjectures based on pre-Covid literature could explain the regulatory dynamics and then asserts that growing evidence shows that regulatory measures appear to naturally lead to a "polity convergence" based on a common core of "Covid-biopower" and "Covid-biopolitics". This convergence defies the initial expectations that the fragmented reactions to the Covid crisis could be explained by using the traditional research tools and also poses unprecedented critical issues that demand an expansion of the horizon of policy research. As the U.S. population ages, the demand for long-term care services and support has increased, including those typically provided by informal caregivers. As a result of increased reliance on informal caregivers, caregiver burden is a growing concern, impacting the well-being of caregivers and patient outcomes. This paper explores the development, pilot, and evaluation of a caregiver engagement app designed to alleviate caregiver burden and enhance patient care in rural Michigan counties. Drawing on a multi-step approach, including key-informant interviews, empathy interviews, and focus group discussions, caregiver needs were identified and incorporated into the app's design and interface. The app, genusConnect, provided caregivers with educational resources, care coordination tools, and communication features to support them and patient care. Pre-post intervention data indicated positive perceptions of the app's usability and efficacy in reducing caregiver burden and social isolation. Despite these promising findings, challenges remain in addressing financial support for caregivers and expanding the generalizability of the app to accommodate diverse caregiver populations and patient conditions. Future research should focus on addressing these limitations and further developing the app to better support caregivers and improve patient outcomes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Each of us has a story which we can think of as a set of beliefs, hopefully consistent. We make our decisions in view of our beliefs which may be probabilistic, in the general case, but simple yes or no as in this paper. Our beliefs are our envelope just as the shell of a tortoise is its envelope. Decision theory—or single agent game theory tells us when to make the best choice in a game of us against nature. But nature has no desire to further or frustrate our efforts. Nature is mysterious but not malign. Things change when there are other agents involved. Then the best thing for us to do will depend on what they do. And they will think the same. And we predict their actions in terms of what we think their beliefs are. Today, supply chain finance is a very important topic. Traditional supply chains rely on banks to support the related financing activities and services. With the emergence of blockchain technology, more and more companies in different industries have considered using it to support supply chain finance. In this paper, we study supply chain financing problems in supply chains selling fashionable products. Modeling under the standard newsvendor problem setting with a single manufacturer and a single retailer employing a revenue sharing contract, we develop analytical models for both the traditional and blockchain-supported supply chains. We derive the optimal contracting and quantity decisions in each supply chain with Nash bargaining between the manufacturer and retailer. We analytically show how the revenue sharing contract can coordinate both types of supply chains. We then compare the optimal systems performances between the two supply chains. We prove that the blockchain-supported supply chain incurs a lower level of operational risk than the traditional supply chain. We have shown that if the service fees by banks are sufficiently high, adopting blockchain technology is a mean-risk dominating policy which brings a higher expected profit and a lower risk for the supply chain and its members. In this paper, we study cooperation and coordination in a threshold public goods game with asymmetric players where players have different endowments e i , productivities p i , and rewards r i . In general, this game has a defective Nash equilibrium (NE), in which no one contributes, and multiple cooperative NEs, in which the group's collective contribution equals the threshold. We then study how multiple dimensions of inequality influence people's cooperation and coordination. We show that heterogeneity in e i p i can promote cooperation in the sense that the existence condition of the defective NE becomes stricter. Furthermore, players with higher e i p i are likely to contribute more at a cooperative NE in terms of collective contribution (i.e., absolute contribution multiplied by productivity). The latest report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warns of an increase in heavy rainfall events due to global warming and climate change, which can result in significant economic costs for insurance companies and businesses. To address this challenge, insurance companies are focusing on developing new risk management strategies and offering new products such as flood insurance. However, the article argues that effective and feasible coordination shortens recovery time and can therefore drastically reduce the financial costs of a crisis—that is, the insurance costs. The paper analyses the deficit in crisis management during heavy rain events in Germany, based on the 2021 Ahr valley flood. The analysis is conducted based on document analysis and interviews and focuses on three areas of deficit: coordination between crisis staffs and (1) civil society, (2) emergency responders, and (3) political leaders. The paper highlights the importance of coordination during a crisis, which can help to address the crisis more efficiently and effectively, minimise damage and get communities back on their feet faster. The rapid development of industrialization has led to the increasing contradiction between human and nature, and green products are favored by more and more consumers. In this paper, a two-level green manufacturing supply chain between a manufacturer that produces green products and a retailer that invests in advertising is investigated. The Stackelberg game is used to study the supply chain decision-making and coordination problems when the demand depends on the greenness of the products and the investment in advertising, and to propose a coordination mechanism for cost-sharing and revenue-sharing. Finally, numerical simulation is used to simulate and analyze the research findings and important parameters. Our results indicate that: (1) When the cost-sharing coefficient and the benefit-sharing coefficient satisfy a certain range of conditions, the supply chain members considering a single coordination mechanism are superior to the supply chain without a coordination mechanism; (2) With the gradual increase in the cost-sharing coefficient of contract, the degree of greenness of the products produced by manufacturers and the level of intensity of the advertisements invested in by retailers show a tendency to increase first and then decrease; (3) In the study of the integrated coordination mechanism of cost-sharing and benefit sharing, the stronger the coordination ability of supply chain members, the wider the range of constraints to reach a win–win cooperation, and the higher the benefits created for supply chain members.
