The article features a comment of the tax base sharing plan in metropolitan areas in the U.S. In the article of Andrew Reschovsky, he evaluated that the Twin Cities had lower their inequities and has the potential to furnish an efficient pattern of land use. This commentary is designed to describe shortfalls of the Reschovsky paper regarding the treatment of equity and benefits of the areas' tax base sharing plans. Two arguments were presented: First, independent fiscal behavior allows an implicit market for business locations; Second, the tax base sharing will unlikely improve undersupply of open space which answers to community interest.
