Today, the internet of things (IoT) is becoming more common and finds applications in several domains, especially in the healthcare sector. Due to the rising demands of IoT, a massive quantity of sensing data gets generated from diverse sensing devices. Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are vital for providing a scalable and precise analysis of data in real time. But the design and development of a useful big data analysis technique face a few challenges, like centralized architecture, security, and privacy, resource constraints, and the lack of adequate training data. On the other hand, the rising blockchain technology offers a decentralized architecture. It enables secure sharing of data and resources to the different nodes of the IoT network and is promoted for removing centralized control and resolving the problems of AI. This study develops an optimal deep-learning-based secure blockchain (ODLSB) enabled intelligent IoT and healthcare diagnosis model. The proposed model involves three major processes: secure transaction, hash value encryption, and medical diagnosis. The ODLSB technique comprises the orthogonal particle swarm optimization (OPSO) algorithm for the secret sharing of medical images. In addition, the hash value encryption process takes place using neighborhood indexing sequence (NIS) algorithm. At last, the optimal deep neural network (ODNN) is applied as a classification model to diagnose the diseases. The utilization of OPSO algorithm for secret sharing and optimal parameter tuning process shows the novelty of the work. We carried out detailed experiments to validate the outcome of the proposed method, and several aspects of the results are considered. In this paper, we have proposed an algorithm to design Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) structures using Genetic Alghorithms (GAs) that are able to learn the best CNN architecture in a completely automatic manner based on limited computing resources. A coding strategy based on sophisticated, hand- designed, modern network blocks has been proposed. So that, the proposed algorithm does not require users with prior knowledge of CNNs, the problem being addressed or even GAs. The performance of the proposed algorithm was evaluated by conducting a series of experiments with widely used reference datasets for image classification tasks and comparing results with modern algorithms that have shown promising performance in this field. The experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm can be used to automatically find a competitive CNN structure compared to modern models, as this algorithm achieved the best classification accuracy among manually and automatically designed CNNs as well as competitive classification accuracy for semi-automatic algorithms. There is an increasing interest in developing artificial intelligence (AI) systems to process and interpret electronic health records (EHRs). Natural language processing (NLP) powered by pretrained language models is the key technology for medical AI systems utilizing clinical narratives. However, there are few clinical language models, the largest of which trained in the clinical domain is comparatively small at 110 million parameters (compared with billions of parameters in the general domain). It is not clear how large clinical language models with billions of parameters can help medical AI systems utilize unstructured EHRs. In this study, we develop from scratch a large clinical language model—GatorTron—using >90 billion words of text (including >82 billion words of de-identified clinical text) and systematically evaluate it on five clinical NLP tasks including clinical concept extraction, medical relation extraction, semantic textual similarity, natural language inference (NLI), and medical question answering (MQA). We examine how (1) scaling up the number of parameters and (2) scaling up the size of the training data could benefit these NLP tasks. GatorTron models scale up the clinical language model from 110 million to 8.9 billion parameters and improve five clinical NLP tasks (e.g., 9.6% and 9.5% improvement in accuracy for NLI and MQA), which can be applied to medical AI systems to improve healthcare delivery. Background: Intraoral photographic images are helpful in the clinical diagnosis of caries. Moreover, the application of artificial intelligence to these images has been attempted consistently. This study aimed to evaluate a deep learning algorithm for caries detection through the segmentation of the tooth surface using these images. Methods: In this prospective study, 2348 in-house intraoral photographic images were collected from 445 participants using a professional intraoral camera at a dental clinic in a university medical centre from October 2020 to December 2021. Images were randomly assigned to training (1638), validation (410), and test (300) datasets. For image segmentation of the tooth surface, classification, and localisation of caries, convolutional neural networks (CNN), namely U-Net, ResNet-18, and Faster R-CNN, were applied. Results: For the classification algorithm for caries images, the accuracy and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve were improved to 0.813 and 0.837 from 0.758 to 0.731, respectively, through segmentation of the tooth surface using CNN. Localisation algorithm for carious lesions after segmentation of the tooth area also showed improved performance. For example, sensitivity and average precision improved from 0.890 to 0.889 to 0.865 and 0.868, respectively. Conclusion: The deep learning model with segmentation of the tooth surface is promising for caries detection on photographic images from an intraoral camera. Deep learning has emerged as the leading method in machine learning, spawning a rapidly growing field of academic research and commercial applications across medicine. Deep learning could have particular relevance to rheumatology if correctly utilized. The greatest benefits of deep learning methods are seen with unstructured data frequently found in rheumatology, such as images and text, where traditional machine learning methods have struggled to unlock the trove of information held within these data formats. The basis for this success comes from the ability of deep learning to learn the structure of the underlying data. It is no surprise that the first areas of medicine that have started to experience impact from deep learning heavily rely on interpreting visual data, such as triaging radiology workflows and computer‐assisted colonoscopy. Applications in rheumatology are beginning to emerge, with recent successes in areas as diverse as detecting joint erosions on plain radiography, predicting future rheumatoid arthritis disease activity, and identifying halo sign on temporal artery ultrasound. Given the important role deep learning methods are likely to play in the future of rheumatology, it is imperative that rheumatologists understand the methods and assumptions that underlie the deep learning algorithms in widespread use today, their limitations and the landscape of deep learning research that will inform algorithm development, and clinical decision support tools of the future. With the advancement of sciences such as machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence, various algorithms are designed and developed. Learning and application models based on data types such as sensor data and databases of computers are made. The BLEVE effects, one of the most common types of fire in industries, are predicted using the Levenberg- Marquardt algorithm, which has become increasingly popular in recent years. Here, the equations in the TNO (Toegepast Natuurwetenschappelijk Onderzoek-Netherlands Applied Scientific Research Organization) (YellowBook Static) model of BLEVE are used. The aim of this research is to use artificial neural networks to predict the risk size of the BLEVE event. All the results from the TNO model of BLEVE effects were estimated using an artificial neural network model. Without utilizing equations, outcomes that are close to true results could be estimated in this method. Furthermore, findings were acquired fast, with linear outcomes in many settings. For this reason, the study's necessity and significance have shifted in this direction. Sixteen TNO model equations from BLEVE are applied, and heat flux values are calculated as a result. As a result of the studies, the BLEVE effects were predicted by the artificial neural network model created using the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm. It is seen that the estimated results and the actual results calculated are close to each other. The statistical values between the predicted results of the artificial neural network model created by the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm and the actual results were examined. The average relative error between the last stage of the BLEVE model created with ANN and the actual values was 3.34%. In addition, it has been observed that when the training iteration is increased within the algorithm, it gets closer to the real results, and statistical values such as standard error decrease even more. In other words, the computation was done by increasing the iteration sequence processing cycle of the result estimations and repeated with the number of training iterations in order to better evaluate the network's performance. With the wide application of data mining and deep learning in mobile cellular network operation and maintenance, network measurement report (MR) plays an increasingly important role in artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps). For the integrity of MR reported by the operation and maintenance (OM) proxy of base station, existing collecting methods are typically based on static distributed clustering. Due to the lack of effective load balancing scheme, nevertheless, these methods typically result in some issues, e.g., low collecting efficiency, poor scalability, and excessive number of servers. Thus, in this work, leveraging the historical law of uploading MR for load forecasting, we propose the weighted least-connection load balancing algorithm (LPWLC) based on load forecasting. First, the historical law of reported MR is utilized to predict the load. Second, using the strategy of static binding and dynamic load adjustment, we bind OM with the assigned server in one cycle, calculate the server load in real-time, and evaluate the server weight by the load of each server. Finally, real-time load adjustment is carried out in line with the number of request connections and the weight of servers. Compared with the existing ones, the proposed algorithm could remove backup servers, thereby effectively reducing the cost and power consumption. The development of medical image analysis algorithm is a complex process including the multiple sub-steps of model training, data visualization, human–computer interaction and graphical user interface (GUI) construction. To accelerate the development process, algorithm developers need a software tool to assist with all the sub-steps so that they can focus on the core function implementation. Especially, for the development of deep learning (DL) algorithms, a software tool supporting training data annotation and GUI construction is highly desired. In this work, we constructed AnatomySketch, an extensible open-source software platform with a friendly GUI and a flexible plugin interface for integrating user-developed algorithm modules. Through the plugin interface, algorithm developers can quickly create a GUI-based software prototype for clinical validation. AnatomySketch supports image annotation using the stylus and multi-touch screen. It also provides efficient tools to facilitate the collaboration between human experts and artificial intelligent (AI) algorithms. We demonstrate four exemplar applications including customized MRI image diagnosis, interactive lung lobe segmentation, human-AI collaborated spine disc segmentation and Annotation-by-iterative-Deep-Learning (AID) for DL model training. Artificial intelligence for aircraft guidance is a hot research topic, and deep reinforcement learning is one of the promising methods. However, due to the different movement patterns of destinations in different guidance tasks, it is inefficient to train agents from scratch. In this article, a policy-reuse algorithm based on destination position prediction is proposed to solve this problem. First, the reward function is optimized to improve flight trajectory quality and training efficiency. Then, by predicting the possible termination position of the destinations in different moving patterns, the problem is transformed into a fixed-position destination aircraft guidance problem. Last, taking the agent in the fixed-position destination scenario as the baseline agent, a new guidance agent can be trained efficiently. Simulation results show that this method can significantly improve the training efficiency of agents in new tasks, and its performance is stable in tasks with different similarities. Background: A critical part in preoperative planning for revision arthroplasty surgery involves the identification of the failed implant. Using a predictive artificial neural network (ANN) model, the objectives of this study were: (1) to develop a machine-learning algorithm using operative big data to identify an implant from a radiograph; and (2) to compare algorithms that optimise accuracy in a timely fashion. Methods: Using 2116 postoperative anteroposterior (AP) hip radiographs of total hip arthroplasties from 2002 to 2019, 10 artificial neural networks were modeled and trained to classify the radiograph according to the femoral stem implanted. Stem brand and model was confirmed with 1594 operative reports. Model performance was determined by classification accuracy toward a random 706 AP hip radiographs, and again on a consecutive series of 324 radiographs prospectively collected over 2019. Results: The Dense-Net 201 architecture outperformed all others with 100.00% accuracy in training data, 95.15% accuracy on validation data, and 91.16% accuracy in the unique prospective series of patients. This outperformed all other models on the validation (p < 0.0001) and novel series (p < 0.0001). The convolutional neural network also displayed the probability (confidence) of the femoral stem classification for any input radiograph. This neural network averaged a runtime of 0.96 (SD 0.02) seconds for an iPhone 6 to calculate from a given radiograph when converted to an application. Solar energy systems (SES) and photovoltaic (PV) modules should be operated at the maximum power point (MPP) to achieve the highest efficiency in the energy generation processes. Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) applications using conventional methods may not be able to follow the global MPP (GMPP) of the PV system under changing atmospheric conditions and they could oscillate around the local MPP. In this study, a machine learning and deep learning (DL) based long short-term memory (LSTM) model is proposed as an innovative solution for MPPT. Contrary to the traditional MPPT applications using current and voltage sensors, the output resistance of the PV module estimation was made by using environmental parameters (such as temperature and radiation) and artificial intelligence algorithms in this study. The LSTM model was compared with artificial neural networks (ANN) and regression methods regarding mean square error (MSE), root mean square error (RMSE) and mean absolute error (MAE) parameters. It has been determined that the LSTM model has a better performance and could more successfully follow MPP compared to the other methods. Finally, after the comparison with the ANN method, it is proved that LSTM gives 37%, 21%, and 31% more successful MSE, RMSE, and MAE results, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The quality of talent has increased across all fields due to the constant growth of different industries and the growing job saturation. Real-time job information on recruitment platforms can, therefore, accurately reflect the demand for talent from businesses, serving as a basis for the creation of training policies in schools. In international competition, the development of talents, especially top-level talents, will become more and more crucial. Growing in importance is China's economy and social development. The evaluation of higher vocational and technical talents, however, should also be assessed from a variety of angles, given the diversification of talent training objectives and teaching methods, as well as the expansion of teaching functions. An emerging machine learning technology called deep learning (DL) has been developed to bring machine learning closer to the goals of artificial intelligence. This essay offers a thorough evaluation of the depth of deep learning as it relates to the development of innovative talent in schools. The entire school must be strengthened. It is demonstrated that the average execution time is slashed by 0.0024 s, and the learning sample size error of the DL model is reduced by 0.05276 when compared to the Apriori method. Artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms can provide actionable insights for clinical decision-making and managing chronic diseases. The treatment and management of complex chronic diseases, such as diabetes, stands to benefit from novel AI algorithms analyzing the frequent real-time streaming data and the occasional medical diagnostics and laboratory test results reported in electronic health records (EHR). Novel algorithms are needed to develop trustworthy, responsible, reliable, and robust AI techniques that can handle the imperfect and imbalanced data of EHRs and inconsistencies or discrepancies with free-living self-reported information. The challenges and applications of AI for two problems in the healthcare domain were explored in this work. First, we introduced novel AI algorithms for EHRs designed to be fair and unbiased while accommodating privacy concerns in predicting treatments and outcomes. Then, we studied the innovative approach of using machine learning to improve automated insulin delivery systems through analyzing real-time information from wearable devices and historical data to identify informative trends and patterns in free-living data. Background: Supernumerary teeth are a common anomaly and are frequently observed in paediatric patients. To prevent or minimize complications, early diagnosis and treatment is ideal in children with supernumerary teeth. Aim: This study aimed to apply convolutional neural network (CNN)–based deep learning to detect the presence of supernumerary teeth in children during the early mixed dentition stage. Design: Three CNN models, AlexNet, VGG16‐TL, and InceptionV3‐TL, were employed in this study. A total of 220 panoramic radiographs (from children aged 6 years 0 months to 9 years 6 months) including supernumerary teeth (cases, n = 120) or no anomalies (controls, n = 100) were retrospectively analyzed. The CNN performances were assessed according to accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves, and area under the ROC curves for a cross‐validation test dataset. Results: The VGG16‐TL model had the highest performance according to accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and area under the ROC curve, but the other models had similar performance. Simple Summary: Inducible T-cell COStimulator (ICOS) is a biomarker of interest in checkpoint inhibitor therapy, and as a means of assessing T-cell regulation as part of a complex process of adaptive immunity. The aim of our study is to segment the ICOS positive cells using a lightweight deep-learning segmentation network. We aim to assess the potential of a convolutional neural network and transformer together that permits the capture of relevant features from immunohistochemistry images. The proposed study achieved remarkable results compared to the existing biomedical segmentation methods on our in-house dataset and surpassed our previous analysis by only utilizing the Efficient-UNet network. In this article, we propose ICOSeg, a lightweight deep learning model that accurately segments the immune-checkpoint biomarker, Inducible T-cell COStimulator (ICOS) protein in colon cancer from immunohistochemistry (IHC) slide patches. The proposed model relies on the MobileViT network that includes two main components: convolutional neural network (CNN) layers for extracting spatial features; and a transformer block for capturing a global feature representation from IHC patch images. The ICOSeg uses an encoder and decoder sub-network. The encoder extracts the positive cell's salient features (i.e., shape, texture, intensity, and margin), and the decoder reconstructs important features into segmentation maps. To improve the model generalization capabilities, we adopted a channel attention mechanism that added to the bottleneck of the encoder layer. This approach highlighted the most relevant cell structures by discriminating between the targeted cell and background tissues. We performed extensive experiments on our in-house dataset. Simple Summary: Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms can assist clinicians in their daily tasks by automatically detecting and/or classifying nodules in chest CT scans. Bias of such algorithms is one of the reasons why implementation of them in clinical practice is still not widely adopted. There is no published review on the bias that these algorithms may contain. This review aims to present different types of bias in such algorithms and present possible ways to mitigate them. Only then it would be possible to ensure that these algorithms work as intended under many different clinical settings. Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms for automatic lung nodule detection and classification can assist radiologists in their daily routine of chest CT evaluation. Even though many AI algorithms for these tasks have already been developed, their implementation in the clinical workflow is still largely lacking. Apart from the significant number of false-positive findings, one of the reasons for that is the bias that these algorithms may contain. In this review, different types of biases that may exist in chest CT AI nodule detection and classification algorithms are listed and discussed. Examples from the literature in which each type of bias occurs are presented, along with ways to mitigate these biases. Different types of biases can occur in chest CT AI algorithms for lung nodule detection and classification. Mitigation of them can be very difficult, if not impossible to achieve completely. Simple Summary: Lung cancer screening has been shown to help reduce mortality in selected populations of smokers; however, performing screening programs at a larger scale with high accuracy is still a challenge. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) has been investigated to improve large scale screening. We have performed a meta-analysis of the diagnostic accuracy of deep learning (DL) algorithms to diagnose lung cancer. Combining six eligible studies, the pooled sensitivity and specificity of DL algorithms were 0.93 (95% CI 0.85–0.98) and 0.68 (95% CI 0.49–0.84), respectively. Despite remaining challenges in the field, AI is likely to play an important role in disease screening in the future. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of the diagnostic performance of current deep learning algorithms for the diagnosis of lung cancer. We searched major databases up to June 2022 to include studies that used artificial intelligence to diagnose lung cancer, using the histopathological analysis of true positive cases as a reference. The quality of the included studies was assessed independently by two authors based on the revised Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies. Six studies were included in the analysis. The pooled sensitivity and specificity were 0.93 (95% CI 0.85–0.98) and 0.68 (95% CI 0.49–0.84), respectively. Despite the significantly high heterogeneity for sensitivity (I2 = 94%, p < 0.01) and specificity (I2 = 99%, p < 0.01), most of it was attributed to the threshold effect. The pooled SROC curve with a bivariate approach yielded an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.90 (95% CI 0.86 to 0.92). The DOR for the studies was 26.7 (95% CI 19.7–36.2) and heterogeneity was 3% (p = 0.40). In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we found that when using the summary point from the SROC, the pooled sensitivity and specificity of DL algorithms for the diagnosis of lung cancer were 93% and 68%, respectively. The modern urban environment is becoming more and more complex. In helping us identify surrounding objects, vehicle vision sensors rely more on the semantic segmentation ability of deep learning networks. The performance of a semantic segmentation network is essential. This factor will directly affect the comprehensive level of driving assistance technology in road environment perception. However, the existing semantic segmentation network has a redundant structure, many parameters, and low operational efficiency. Therefore, to reduce the complexity of the network and reduce the number of parameters to improve the network efficiency, based on the deep learning (DL) theory, a method for efficient image semantic segmentation using Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN) is deeply studied. First, the theoretical basis of the convolutional neural network (CNN) is briefly introduced, and the real-time semantic segmentation technology of urban scenes based on DCNN is recommended in detail. Second, the atrous convolution algorithm and the multi-scale parallel atrous spatial pyramid model are introduced. On the basis of this, an Efficient Symmetric Network (ESNet) of real-time semantic segmentation model for autonomous driving scenarios is proposed. The experimental results show that: (1) On the Cityscapes dataset, the ESNet structure achieves 70.7% segmentation accuracy for the 19 semantic categories set, and 87.4% for the seven large grouping categories. Compared with other algorithms, the accuracy has increased to varying degrees. (2) On the CamVid dataset, compared with segmentation networks of multiple lightweight real-time images, the parameters of the ESNet model are around 1.2 m, the highest FPS value is around 90 Hz, and the highest mIOU value is around 70%. In seven semantic categories, the segmentation accuracy of the ESNet model is the highest at around 98%. From this, we found that the ESNet significantly improves segmentation accuracy while maintaining faster forward inference speed. Overall, the research not only provides technical support for the development of real-time semantic understanding and segmentation of DCNN algorithms but also contributes to the development of artificial intelligence technology. Simple Summary: The rapid development of technology has enabled numerous applications of artificial intelligence (AI), especially in medical science. Histopathological assessment of tissues remains the gold standard for diagnosis of gastrointestinal (GI) cancers for subsequent management. In a traditional anatomical pathology (AP) laboratory, histopathologists are required to manually assess, quantify and classify diseases under a microscope in a semiquantitative or qualitative manner. The conversion of analogue-to-digital pathology is on the rise, conforming with trends toward digitalization. The rapid adoption of digital pathology (DP) is driven by factors such as the worldwide shortage of pathologists and medical technologists, the increasing incidence of cancer and the critical need to improve laboratory efficiency. In this review, we aim to provide a comprehensive summary of algorithms for AI detection and classification of GI cancer. We will also provide critical insight into the application of algorithms for routine care in clinical practice. The implementation of DP will revolutionize current practice by providing pathologists with additional tools and algorithms to improve workflow. Furthermore, DP will open up opportunities for development of AI-based tools for more precise and reproducible diagnosis through computational pathology. One of the key features of AI is its capability to generate perceptions and recognize patterns beyond the human senses. Thus, the incorporation of AI into DP can reveal additional morphological features and information. At the current rate of AI development and adoption of DP, the interest in computational pathology is expected to rise in tandem. There have already been promising developments related to AI-based solutions in prostate cancer detection; however, in the GI tract, development of more sophisticated algorithms is required to facilitate histological assessment of GI specimens for early and accurate diagnosis. In this review, we aim to provide an overview of the current histological practices in AP laboratories with respect to challenges faced in image preprocessing, present the existing AI-based algorithms, discuss their limitations and present clinical insight with respect to the application of AI in early detection and diagnosis of GI cancer. This work presents a high-performance approach for 3D lung segmentation tasks in computer tomography images using a new intelligent machine learning algorithm called Floor of Log(FoL). The Support Vector Machine was used to learn the better parameter of the FoL algorithm using the parenchyma and its border as labels. Sensitivity, Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC), Hausdorff Distance (HD), Dice, Accuracy (ACC), and Jaccard were used to evaluate the proposed algorithm. The FoL was compared with recent 3D region growing, 3D Adaptive Crisp Active Contour, 3D OsiriX toolbox, and Level-set algorithm based on the coherent propagation method algorithms. The FoL algorithm achieves good results with approximately 19 s in the most significant result in an exam with 430 slices and presents similarity indexes achieving HD 3.5, DICE 83.63, and Jaccard 99.73 and qualitative indexes achieving Sensitivity 83.87, MCC 83.08, and ACC 99.62. Effective screening provides efficient and quick diagnoses of COVID-19 and could alleviate related problems in the health care system. A prediction model that combines multiple features to assess contamination risks was established in the hope of supporting healthcare workers worldwide in triaging patients, particularly in situations with limited health care resources. Furthermore, a lack of diagnosis kits and asymptomatic cases can lead to missed or delayed diagnoses, exposing visitors, medical staff, and patients to 2019-nCoV contamination. Non-clinical techniques including data mining, expert systems, machine learning, and other artificial intelligence technologies have a crucial role to play in containment and diagnosis in the COVID-19 outbreak. This study developed Enhanced Gravitational Search Optimization with a Hybrid Deep Learning Model (EGSO-HDLM) for COVID-19 diagnoses using epidemiology data. The major aim of designing the EGSO-HDLM model was the identification and classification of COVID-19 using epidemiology data. In order to examine the epidemiology data, the EGSO-HDLM model employed a hybrid convolutional neural network with a gated recurrent unit based fusion (HCNN-GRUF) model. In addition, the hyperparameter optimization of the HCNN-GRUF model was improved by the use of the EGSO algorithm, which was derived by including the concepts of cat map and the traditional GSO algorithm. The design of the EGSO algorithm helps in reducing the ergodic problem, avoiding premature convergence, and enhancing algorithm efficiency. To demonstrate the better performance of the EGSO-HDLM model, experimental validation on a benchmark dataset was performed. The lack of interpretability in artificial intelligence models (i.e., deep learning, machine learning, and rules-based) is an obstacle to their widespread adoption in the healthcare domain. The absence of understandability and transparency frequently leads to (i) inadequate accountability and (ii) a consequent reduction in the quality of the predictive results of the models. On the other hand, the existence of interpretability in the predictions of AI models will facilitate the understanding and trust of the clinicians in these complex models. The data protection regulations worldwide emphasize the relevance of the plausibility and verifiability of AI models' predictions. In response and to take a role in tackling this challenge, we designed the interpretability-based model with algorithms that achieve human-like reasoning abilities through statistical analysis of the datasets by calculating the relative weights of the variables of the features from the medical images and the patient symptoms. The relative weights represented the importance of the variables in predictive decision-making. In addition, the relative weights were used to find the positive and negative probabilities of having the disease, which indicated high fidelity explanations. Hence, the primary goal of our model is to shed light and give insights into the prediction process of the models, as well as to explain how the model predictions have resulted. Consequently, our model contributes by demonstrating accuracy. Furthermore, two experiments on COVID-19 datasets demonstrated the effectiveness and interpretability of the new model. Objective: Using artificial intelligence and a deep learning algorithm can differentiate vesicoureteral reflux and hydronephrosis reliably. Material and Methods: An online dataset of vesicoureteral reflux and hydronephrosis images were abstracted. We developed image analysis and deep learning workflow. The images were trained to distinguish between vesicoureteral reflux and hydronephrosis. The discriminative capability was quantified using receiver-operating characteristic curve analysis. We used Scikit learn to interpret the model. Results: Thirty-nine of the hydronephrosis and 42 of the vesicoureteral reflux images were abstracted from an online dataset. First, we randomly divided the images into training and validation. In this example, we put 68 cases into training and 13 into validation. We did inference on 2 cases and in return their predictions were predicted: [[0.00006]] hydronephrosis, predicted: [[0.99874]] vesicoureteral reflux on 2 test cases. Conclusion: This study showed a high-level overview of building a deep neural network for urological image classification. With the development of science and technology and the progress of social civilization, people have entered the era of big data. People's personal information, privacy data, financial status, and financial information have become more and more transparent. Personal privacy has also changed from traditional physical privacy to portrait privacy and further changed to digital privacy based on artificial intelligence, big data, algorithms, and other technologies. At this stage, a new type of privacy problem has been formed, that is, deep learning privacy. In order to better protect the right to privacy, we should effectively block the protection dilemma of privacy and improve the construction of algorithms in the era of artificial intelligence, strengthen our own awareness of prevention, understand the current situation of infringing and protecting the right to privacy, fully protect the right to privacy, and promote the legal construction of the right to privacy in the era of artificial intelligence. Speech recognition is the most important research direction in human-computer interaction. It is the key to the connection between human beings and machines and the expression of intelligence and automation in the information society. Taking English as the research object, using the related knowledge of speech recognition, it is based on the hidden Markov model technology of deep learning and clustering analysis algorithm and evaluated according to the cross-language English phonemic recognition system of sparse autoencoder (SA) method. By studying the speech recognition algorithm of the English translation, the influence of the speech recognition environment on the accuracy of speech recognition is confirmed. This provides a direction for humans to study speech recognition at a deeper level. Based on the language model of Transformer and the language model based on Seq2Seq, it sets different vocabularies, and the data are collected in the laboratory and outdoors, respectively, and the posttest template library is formed after collection. In the task of restoring phonetic symbols to English characters when phonemes are modeling units, the error rate is the lowest. Cardiac structure contouring is a time consuming and tedious manual activity used for radiotherapeutic dose toxicity planning. We developed an automatic cardiac structure segmentation pipeline for use in low-dose non-contrast planning CT based on deep learning algorithms for small datasets. Fifty CT scans were retrospectively selected and the whole heart, ventricles and atria were contoured. A two stage deep learning pipeline was trained on 41 non contrast planning CTs, tuned with 3 CT scans and validated on 6 CT scans. In the first stage, An InceptionResNetV2 network was used to identify the slices that contained cardiac structures. The second stage consisted of three deep learning models trained on the images containing cardiac structures to segment the structures. The three deep learning models predicted the segmentations/contours on axial, coronal and sagittal images and are combined to create the final prediction. The final accuracy of the pipeline was quantified on 6 volumes by calculating the Dice similarity coefficient (DC), 95% Hausdorff distance (95% HD) and volume ratios between predicted and ground truth volumes. Median DC and 95% HD of 0.96, 0.88, 0.92, 0.80 and 0.82, and 1.86, 2.98, 2.02, 6.16 and 6.46 were achieved for the whole heart, right and left ventricle, and right and left atria respectively. The median differences in volume were -4, -1, + 5, -16 and -20% for the whole heart, right and left ventricle, and right and left atria respectively. The automatic contouring pipeline achieves good results for whole heart and ventricles. Robust automatic contouring with deep learning methods seems viable for local centers with small datasets. Presently, the quality of cherries in the market is uneven, because human senses are used to distinguish cherry quality, which consumes a lot of time and energy and does not achieve good results in terms of accuracy. If the internal quality indices, such as the PH value, sugar–acid ratio, and vitamin C content, of cherries are extracted using chemical methods, the detection speed will decrease. With the development of artificial intelligence (AI), image processing by AI algorithms has attracted broad attention. The YOLOv5 model in the YOLO series has many advantages, such as high detection accuracy, fast speed, small size, and so on, and has been used in face recognition, image recognition and other fields. However, owing to the influence of seasonal weather, the environment and other factors, the dataset used in the training model decreases the accuracy of image recognition. To improve the accuracy, a large amount of data must be used for model training, but this will decrease the model training speed. Because it is impossible to use all data in training, there will inevitably be recognition errors in the detection process. In this study, the cherry images in a dataset were extracted by the flooding filling algorithm. The extracted cherry images were used as a new dataset for training and recognition, and the results were compared to those obtained with non-extracted images. The dataset generated by the flooding filling algorithm was used for model training. After 20 training epochs, the accuracy rate reached 99.6%. Preparing radiology examinations for interpretation requires prefetching relevant prior examinations and implementing hanging protocols to optimally display the examination along with comparisons. Body part is a critical piece of information to facilitate both prefetching and hanging protocols, but body part information encoded using the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard is widely variable, error-prone, not granular enough, or missing altogether. This results in inappropriate examinations being prefetched or relevant examinations left behind; hanging protocol optimization suffers as well. Modern artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, particularly when harnessing federated deep learning techniques, allow for highly accurate automatic detection of body part based on the image data within a radiological examination; this allows for much more reliable implementation of this categorization and workflow. Network-on-chip (NoC) is replacing the existing on-chip communication mechanism in the latest, very-large-scale integration (VLSI) systems because of their fault tolerant design. However, in addition to the design challenges, NoC systems require a mechanism for proper application mapping in order to produce maximum benefits in terms of application-level latency, platform energy consumption, and system throughput. Similarly, the neural-network (NN)-based artificial intelligence (AI) techniques for deep learning are gaining particular interest. These applications can be executed on a cloud-based system, but some of these applications have to be executed on private cloud to integrate the data privacy. Furthermore, the public cloud systems can also be made from these NoC platforms to have better application performance. Therefore, there is a need to optimally map these applications on existing NoC-based architectures. If the application is not properly mapped, then it can create a performance hazard that may lead to delay in calculations, increase in energy consumption, and decrease in the platform lifetime. Hence, the real-time applications requiring AI services can implement these algorithms in NoC-based architectures with better real-time performance. In this article, we propose a multilevel mapping of deep learning AI applications on the NoC architectures and show its results for the energy consumption, task distribution profile, latency, and throughput. The simulation is conducted using the OCTAVE, and the simulation results show that the performance of the proposed mapping technique is better than the direct mapping techniques. Simple Summary: Diagnosing cancer at an early stage increases the chance of performing effective treatment in many tumour groups. Key approaches include screening patients who are at risk but have no symptoms, and rapidly and appropriately investigating those who do. Machine learning, whereby computers learn complex data patterns to make predictions, has the potential to revolutionise early cancer diagnosis. Here, we provide an overview of how such algorithms can assist doctors through analyses of routine health records, medical images, biopsy samples and blood tests to improve risk stratification and early diagnosis. Such tools will be increasingly utilised in the coming years. Improving the proportion of patients diagnosed with early-stage cancer is a key priority of the World Health Organisation. In many tumour groups, screening programmes have led to improvements in survival, but patient selection and risk stratification are key challenges. In addition, there are concerns about limited diagnostic workforces, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, placing a strain on pathology and radiology services. In this review, we discuss how artificial intelligence algorithms could assist clinicians in (1) screening asymptomatic patients at risk of cancer, (2) investigating and triaging symptomatic patients, and (3) more effectively diagnosing cancer recurrence. We provide an overview of the main artificial intelligence approaches, including historical models such as logistic regression, as well as deep learning and neural networks, and highlight their early diagnosis applications. Many data types are suitable for computational analysis, including electronic healthcare records, diagnostic images, pathology slides and peripheral blood, and we provide examples of how these data can be utilised to diagnose cancer. We also discuss the potential clinical implications for artificial intelligence algorithms, including an overview of models currently used in clinical practice. The problem of the automatic determination of the first and second ventilatory thresholds (VT1 and VT2) from cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) still leads to controversy. The reliability of the gold standard methodology (i.e. expert visual inspection) feeds into the debate and several authors call for more objective automatic methods to be used in the clinical practice. In this study, we present a framework based on a collaborative approach, where a web-application was used to crowd-source a large number (1245) of CPET data of individuals with different aerobic fitness. The resulting database was used to train and test an artificial intelligence (i.e. a convolutional neural network) algorithm. This automatic classifier is currently implemented in another web-application and was used to detect the ventilatory thresholds in the available CPET. A total of 206 CPET were used to evaluate the accuracy of the estimations against the expert opinions. The neural network was able to detect the ventilatory thresholds with an average mean absolute error of 178 (198) mlO2/min (11.1%, r = 0.97) and 144 (149) mlO2/min (6.1%, r = 0.99), for VT1 and VT2 respectively. The performance of the neural network in detecting VT1 deteriorated in case of individuals with poor aerobic fitness. Our results suggest the potential for a collective intelligence system to outperform isolated experts in ventilatory thresholds detection. However, the inclusion of a larger number of VT1 examples certified by a community of experts will be likely needed before the abilities of this collective intelligence can be translated into the clinical use of CPET. Intelligent robots are a key vehicle for artificial intelligence and are widely employed in all aspects of everyday life and work, not just in the industry. One of the talents required for intelligent robots to complete their jobs is the capacity to identify their environment, which is a crucial obstacle to be overcome. Deep learning-based target identification algorithms currently do not fully leverage the link between high-level semantic and low-level detail information in the prediction step and hence are less successful in recognizing tiny target objects. Target recognition via vision sensors has also improved in accuracy and efficiency because of the development of deep learning. However, due to the insufficient usage of semantic information and precise texture information of underlying characteristics, tiny target recognition remains a difficulty. To address the aforementioned issues, we propose a target detection method based on a jump-connected pyramid model to improve the target detection performance of robots in complex scenarios. In order to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm, we designed and implemented a software system for target detection of intelligent robots and performed software integration of the proposed algorithm model with excellent experimental results. These experiments reveal that, when compared to other algorithms, our suggested algorithm's characteristics have higher flexibility and robustness and can deliver a higher scene classification accuracy rate. We present a scalable tree search planning algorithm for large multi-agent sequential decision problems that require dynamic collaboration. Teams of agents need to coordinate decisions in many domains, but naive approaches fail due to the exponential growth of the joint action space with the number of agents. We circumvent this complexity through an approach that allows us to trade computation for approximation quality and dynamically coordinate actions. Our algorithm comprises three elements: online planning with Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS), factored representations of local agent interactions with coordination graphs, and the iterative Max-Plus method for joint action selection. We evaluate our approach on the benchmark SysAdmin domain with static coordination graphs and achieve comparable performance with much lower computation cost than our MCTS baselines. We also introduce a multi-drone delivery domain with dynamic coordination graphs, and demonstrate how our approach scales to large problems on this domain that are intractable for other MCTS methods. Edge Analytics and Artificial Intelligence are important features of the current smart connected living community. In a society where people, homes, cities, and workplaces are simultaneously connected through various devices, primarily through mobile devices, a considerable amount of data is exchanged, and the processing and storage of these data are laborious and difficult tasks. Edge Analytics allows the collection and analysis of such data on mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, without involving any cloud-centred architecture that cannot guarantee real-time responsiveness. Meanwhile, Artificial Intelligence techniques can constitute a valid instrument to process data, limiting the computation time, and optimising decisional processes and predictions in several sectors, such as healthcare. Within this field, in this article, an approach able to evaluate the voice quality condition is proposed. A fully automatic algorithm, based on Deep Learning, classifies a voice as healthy or pathological by analysing spectrogram images extracted by means of the recording of vowel /a/, in compliance with the traditional medical protocol. A light Convolutional Neural Network is embedded in a mobile health application in order to provide an instrument capable of assessing voice disorders in a fast, easy, and portable way. Thus, a straightforward mobile device becomes a screening tool useful for the early diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of voice disorders. The proposed approach has been tested on a broad set of voice samples, not limited to the most common voice diseases but including all the pathologies present in three different databases achieving F1-scores, over the testing set, equal to 80%, 90%, and 73%. Although the proposed network consists of a reduced number of layers, the results are very competitive compared to those of other “cutting edge” approaches constructed using more complex neural networks, and compared to the classic deep neural networks, for example, VGG-16 and ResNet-50. Objectives: To investigate the image quality and perception of a sinogram-based deep learning image reconstruction (DLIR) algorithm for single-energy abdominal CT compared to standard-of-care strength of ASIR-V. Methods: In this retrospective study, 50 patients (62% F; 56.74 ± 17.05 years) underwent portal venous phase. Four reconstructions (ASIR-V at 40%, and DLIR at three strengths: low (DLIR-L), medium (DLIR-M), and high (DLIR-H)) were generated. Qualitative and quantitative image quality analysis was performed on the 200 image datasets. Qualitative scores were obtained for image noise, contrast, small structure visibility, sharpness, and artifact by three blinded radiologists on a 5-point scale (1, excellent; 5, very poor). Radiologists also indicated image preference on a 3-point scale (1, most preferred; 3, least preferred). Quantitative assessment was performed by measuring image noise and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR). Results: DLIR had better image quality scores compared to ASIR-V. Scores on DLIR-H for noise (1.40 ± 0.53), contrast (1.41 ± 0.55), small structure visibility (1.51 ± 0.61), and sharpness (1.60 ± 0.54) were the best (p < 0.05) followed by DLIR-M (1.85 ± 0.52, 1.66 ± 0.57, 1.69 ± 0.59, 1.68 ± 0.46), DLIR-L (2.29 ± 0.58, 1.96 ± 0.61, 1.90 ± 0.65, 1.86 ± 0.46), and ASIR-V (2.86 ± 0.67, 2.55 ± 0.58, 2.34 ± 0.66, 2.01 ± 0.36). Ratings for artifacts were similar for all reconstructions (p > 0.05). DLIRs did not influence subjective textural perceptions and were preferred over ASIR-V from the beginning. All DLIRs had a higher CNR (26.38–102.30%) and lower noise (20.64–48.77%) than ASIR-V. DLIR-H had the best objective scores. Conclusion: Sinogram-based deep learning image reconstructions were preferred over iterative reconstruction subjectively and objectively due to improved image quality and lower noise, even in large patients. Use in clinical routine may allow for radiation dose reduction. Purpose: A deep learning artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm has been demonstrated to outperform embryologists in identifying euploid embryos destined to implant with an accuracy of 75.3% (1). Our aim was to evaluate the performance of highly trained embryologists in selecting top quality day 5 euploid blastocysts with and without the aid of a deep learning algorithm. Materials and methods: A non-overlapping series of 200 sets of day 5 euploid embryo images with known implantation outcomes was distributed to 17 highly trained embryologists. One embryo in each set was known to have implanted and one failed implantation. They were asked to select which embryo to transfer from each set. The same 200 sets of embryos, with indication of which embryo in each set had been identified by the algorithm as more likely to implant was then distributed. Chi-squared, t-test, and receiver operating curves were performed to compare the embryologist performeance with and without AI. Results: Fourteen embryologists completed both assessments. Embryologists provided with AI results selected successfully implanted embryos in 73.6% of cases compared to 65.5% for those selected using visual assessments alone (p < 0.001). All embryologists improved in their ability to select embryos with the aid of the AI algorithm with a mean percent improvement of 11.1% (range 1.4% to 15.5%). There were no differences in degree of improvement by embryologist level of experience (junior, intermediate, senior). Conclusions: The incorporation of an AI framework for blastocyst selection enhanced the performance of trained embryologists in identifying PGT-A euploid embryos destined to implant. The objective of the study was to determine if the pathology depicted on a mammogram is either benign or malignant (ductal or non-ductal carcinoma) using deep learning and artificial intelligence techniques. A total of 559 patients underwent breast ultrasound, mammography, and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. Based on the histopathological results, the patients were divided into three categories: benign, ductal carcinomas, and non-ductal carcinomas. The mammograms in the cranio-caudal view underwent pre-processing and segmentation. Given the large variability of the areola, an algorithm was used to remove it and the adjacent skin. Therefore, patients with breast lesions close to the skin were removed. The remaining breast image was resized on the Y axis to a square image and then resized to 512 × 512 pixels. A variable square of 322,622 pixels was searched inside every image to identify the lesion. Each image was rotated with no information loss. For data augmentation, each image was rotated 360 times and a crop of 227 × 227 pixels was saved, resulting in a total of 201,240 images. The reason why our images were cropped at this size is because the deep learning algorithm transfer learning used from AlexNet network has an input image size of 227 × 227. The mean accuracy was 95.8344% ± 6.3720% and mean AUC 0.9910% ± 0.0366%, computed on 100 runs of the algorithm. Based on the results, the proposed solution can be used as a non-invasive and highly accurate computer-aided system based on deep learning that can classify breast lesions based on changes identified on mammograms in the cranio-caudal view. This study aimed to develop a method for detection of femoral neck fracture (FNF) including displaced and non-displaced fractures using convolutional neural network (CNN) with plain X-ray and to validate its use across hospitals through internal and external validation sets. This is a retrospective study using hip and pelvic anteroposterior films for training and detecting femoral neck fracture through residual neural network (ResNet) 18 with convolutional block attention module (CBAM) + +. The study was performed at two tertiary hospitals between February and May 2020 and used data from January 2005 to December 2018. Our primary outcome was favorable performance for diagnosis of femoral neck fracture from negative studies in our dataset. We described the outcomes as area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), accuracy, Youden index, sensitivity, and specificity. A total of 4,189 images that contained 1,109 positive images (332 non-displaced and 777 displaced) and 3,080 negative images were collected from two hospitals. The test values after training with one hospital dataset were 0.999 AUC, 0.986 accuracy, 0.960 Youden index, and 0.966 sensitivity, and 0.993 specificity. Values of external validation with the other hospital dataset were 0.977, 0.971, 0.920, 0.939, and 0.982, respectively. Values of merged hospital datasets were 0.987, 0.983, 0.960, 0.973, and 0.987, respectively. A CNN algorithm for FNF detection in both displaced and non-displaced fractures using plain X-rays could be used in other hospitals to screen for FNF after training with images from the hospital of interest. With the continuous development of artificial intelligence, embedding object detection algorithms into autonomous underwater detectors for marine garbage cleanup has become an emerging application area. Considering the complexity of the marine environment and the low resolution of the images taken by underwater detectors, this paper proposes an improved algorithm based on Mask R-CNN, with the aim of achieving high accuracy marine garbage detection and instance segmentation. First, the idea of dilated convolution is introduced in the Feature Pyramid Network to enhance feature extraction ability for small objects. Secondly, the spatial-channel attention mechanism is used to make features learn adaptively. It can effectively focus attention on detection objects. Third, the re-scoring branch is added to improve the accuracy of instance segmentation by scoring the predicted masks based on the method of Generalized Intersection over Union. Finally, we train the proposed algorithm in this paper on the Transcan dataset, evaluating its effectiveness by various metrics and comparing it with existing algorithms. The experimental results show that compared to the baseline provided by the Transcan dataset, the algorithm in this paper improves the mAP indexes on the two tasks of garbage detection and instance segmentation by 9.6 and 5.0, respectively, which significantly improves the algorithm performance. Objectives: To develop and evaluate a deep learning–based model capable of detecting primary hepatic malignancies in multiphase CT images of patients at high risk for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods: A total of 1350 multiphase CT scans of 1280 hepatic malignancies (1202 HCCs and 78 non-HCCs) in 1320 patients at high risk for HCC were retrospectively analyzed. Following the delineation of the focal hepatic lesions according to reference standards, the CT scans were categorized randomly into the training (568 scans), tuning (193 scans), and test (589 scans) sets. Multiphase CT information was subjected to multichannel integration, and livers were automatically segmented before model development. A deep learning–based model capable of detecting malignancies was developed using a mask region–based convolutional neural network. The thresholds of the prediction score and the intersection over union were determined on the tuning set corresponding to the highest sensitivity with < 5 false-positive cases per CT scan. The sensitivity and the number of false-positives of the proposed model on the test set were calculated. Potential causes of false-negatives and false-positives on the test set were analyzed. Results: This model exhibited a sensitivity of 84.8% with 4.80 false-positives per CT scan on the test set. The most frequent potential causes of false-negatives and false-positives were determined to be atypical enhancement patterns for HCC (71.7%) and registration/segmentation errors (42.7%), respectively. Conclusions: The proposed deep learning–based model developed to automatically detect primary hepatic malignancies exhibited an 84.8% of sensitivity with 4.80 false-positives per CT scan in the test set. This paper addresses the challenge of minimizing training time for the control of Heating, Ventilation, and Air-conditioning (HVAC) systems with online Reinforcement Learning (RL). This is done by developing a novel approach to Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL) to HVAC systems. In this paper, the environment formed by the HVAC system is formulated as a Markov Game (MG) in a general sum setting. The MARL algorithm is designed in a decentralized structure, where only relevant states are shared between agents, and actions are shared in a sequence, which are sensible from a system's point of view. The simulation environment is a domestic house located in Denmark and designed to resemble an average house. The heat source in the house is an air-to-water heat pump, and the HVAC system is an Underfloor Heating system (UFH). The house is subjected to weather changes from a data set collected in Copenhagen in 2006, spanning the entire year except for June, July, and August, where heat is not required. It is shown that: (1) When comparing Single Agent Reinforcement Learning (SARL) and MARL, training time can be reduced by 70% for a four temperature-zone UFH system, (2) the agent can learn and generalize over seasons, (3) the cost of heating can be reduced by 19% or the equivalent to 750 kWh of electric energy per year for an average Danish domestic house compared to a traditional control method, and (4) oscillations in the room temperature can be reduced by 40% when comparing the RL control methods with a traditional control method. In this study, future cars are attempting self-driving around the world. However, hacking, such as ECUs in automobiles, creates problems that are directly connected to human life. Therefore, this study wrote a paper that detects anomalies in such cars by field. As a related study, the study investigated the vulnerabilities of the automobile security committee and automobile security standards and investigated the detection of abnormalities in the hacking of geo-train cars using artificial intelligence's LSTM and blockchain consensus algorithm. In addition, in automobile security, an algorithm was studied to predict normal and abnormal values using LSTM-based anomaly detection techniques on the premise that automobile communication networks are largely divided into internal and external networks. In the methodology, LSTM's pure propagation malicious code detection technique was used, and it worked with an artificial intelligence consensus algorithm to increase security. In addition, Unity ML conducted an experiment by constructing a virtual environment using the Beta version. The LSTM blockchain consensus node network was composed of 50,000 processes to compare performance. For the first time, 100 Grouped Tx, 500 Channels were tested for performance. For the first time, the malicious code detection rate of the existing system was verified. Accelerator, Multichannel, Sharding, Raiden, Plasma, and Trubit values were verified, and values of approximately 15,000 to 50,000 were obtained. To equip computers with human communication skills and to enable natural interaction between the computer and a human, intelligent solutions are required based on artificial intelligence (AI) methods, algorithms, and sensor technology. This study aimed at identifying and analyzing the state-of-the-art AI methods and algorithms and sensors technology in existing human–computer intelligent interaction (HCII) research to explore trends in HCII research, categorize existing evidence, and identify potential directions for future research. We conduct a systematic mapping study of the HCII body of research. Four hundred fifty-four studies published in various journals and conferences between 2010 and 2021 were identified and analyzed. Studies in the HCII and IUI fields have primarily been focused on intelligent recognition of emotion, gestures, and facial expressions using sensors technology, such as the camera, EEG, Kinect, wearable sensors, eye tracker, gyroscope, and others. Researchers most often apply deep-learning and instance-based AI methods and algorithms. The support sector machine (SVM) is the most widely used algorithm for various kinds of recognition, primarily an emotion, facial expression, and gesture.
