Chapter IX of the book "Badge of Infamy" is presented. It focuses on the court trial and judgment on the criminal act committed by a medical doctor. It talks about the arguments presented by the prosecution and defense panels concerning the criminal case and how the judge came up with the decision in relation to the evidences presented. It also mentions the biases taking place inside the trial court.

It highlights the Gordon's encounter with the men of Captain Isaiah Trench. Furthermore, it discusses Jurgens who replaced Isaiah Trench as captain.

Furthermore, it highlights the letter received by Gordon from the Solar Security on Earth that reminds him of his duties in Mars, otherwise he will be sent to Mercury to live there permanently.

Chapter VIII of the book "Police Your Planet" is presented. It explores the mayoral election in Marsport wherein Mayor Wayne and Nolan are the candidates. It highlights the troubles and shootings during the election wherein Bruce Gordon and Honest Izzy voted. Furthermore, it discusses the death of Captain Asa Murdoch during the election.

Chapter XLII of Book IV of the book "That Affair Next Day is presented. It explores the compliments of Miss Amelia Butterworth to the characters of the story including Inspector Gryce, Miss Althorpe, and Olive Randolph. It also highlights the fate of the rest of the characters including Randolph Stone, Howard Van Burnam and the imprisonment of Franklin because of murder.
