A recent study conducted by the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) aimed to develop fish powder as a dietary supplement to combat inadequate nutrition. The study analyzed the nutritional aspects, mineral content, amino acid profile, fatty acid profile, microbiological quality, and heavy metal contents of six small indigenous fish species. The results showed that the fish powders had high protein content, optimal fatty acid ratios, and met the safety standards for human consumption.
