In this work, we report on five novel coordination polymers (CPs) based on the linkage of the [Cd(6apic)2] building block [where 6apic = 6-aminopicolinate] by different bipyridine-type organic spacers, forming different coordination compounds with the following formulae: [Cd(μ-6apic)2]n (1), {[Cd(6apic)2(μ-bipy)]·H2O}n (2), {[Cd(6apic)2(μ-bpe)]·2H2O}n (3), [Cd(6apic)(μ-6apic)(μ-bpa)0.5]n (4) and {[Cd2(6apic)4(μ-tmbp)]·7H2O}n (5) [where bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine, bpe = 1,2-di(4-pyridyl)ethylene, bpa = 1,2-di(4-pyridyl)ethane (bpa) and tmbp = 1,3-di(4-pyridyl)propane]. Most of the synthesized compounds form infinite metal–organic rods through the linkage of the building block by the bipyridine-type linker, except in the case of compound 4 whose assembly forms a densely packed 3D architecture. All compounds were fully characterized and their photoluminescence properties were studied experimentally and computationally through density functional theory (DFT) calculations. All compounds display, upon UV excitation, a similar blue emission of variable intensity depending on the linker employed for the connection of the building units, among which compound 2 deserves to be highlighted for its room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) with an emission lifetime of 32 ms that extends to 79 ms at low temperature. These good photoluminescence properties, in addition to its stability in water over a wide pH range (between 2 and 10), motivated us to study compound 2 as a sensor for the detection of metal ions in water, and it showed high sensitivity to Fe3+ through a fluorescence turn-off mechanism and an unspecific turn-on response to Zn2+. Furthermore, the compound is processed as a paper-based analytical device (PAD) in which the phosphorescence emission is preserved, improving the sensing capacity toward Fe3+ ions. The effective integration of nanomaterials with underlying current collectors is a key factor affecting the performance of nonenzymatic glucose sensors, where an inappropriate integration structure often leads to poor electron transport and instability. In this work, a seamless integrated electrode was constructed by the in situ immobilizing of a nickel-based metal-organic framework (Ni-MOF) on a three-dimensional (3D) conductive nickel foam (NF) for highly sensitive and durable glucose sensing. Facilitated by a rapid microwave-assisted reaction, a robust interfacial interaction between the Ni-MOF and the substrate was established through in situ conversion from nickel oxide (NiO). The fabricated Ni-MOF/NF electrode exhibits an excellent limit of detection (LOD) of 2.65 μM and an impressive sensitivity (14.31 mA cm-2 mM-1) within the linear range (4-576 μM), which is significantly boosted compared with that of an electrode prepared by a typical drop-casting method (3.56 mA cm-2 mM-1 in 4-1836 μM). Characterization and electrochemical tests reveal that this integrated structure on the one hand contributes to fast electron transport and thus has enhanced sensitivity and on the other hand leads to exceptional durability with its structural integrity maintained under bending, shaking, and ultrasonication. Moreover, this seamless integration method was also employed to immobilize the Ni-MOF converted from the pre-chemically deposited NiO layer on another type of substrate, 3D carbon paper (CP), demonstrating the versatility of this facile strategy in creating diverse electrochemical electrodes for applications beyond glucose sensing. A new CdII-based luminescent metal–organic framework (LMOF) with the formula {[Cd(BIBT)(NDC)]·solvents}n (JXUST-32, BIBT = 4,7-bi(1H-imidazol-1-yl)benzo-[2,1,3]thiadiazole and H2NDC = 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid) was successfully synthesized by a solvothermal method. JXUST-32 shows a two-dimensional (4,4)-connected network and exhibits significant fluorescence red shift and slight enhancement for H2PO4− and CO32− sensing with detection limits of 0.11 and 0.12 μM, respectively. In addition, JXUST-32 has good thermal stability, chemical stability and recyclability. Significantly, JXUST-32 represents a fluorescence red-shift dual response MOF sensor for H2PO4− and CO32− detection and the analytes can be identified by the naked eye, aerosol jet printing filter paper, light-emitting diode beads and luminescent films. Utilizing the phase transition principle of VO2, this paper presents a tunable ultra-wideband terahertz perfect absorption device with simple structure and tunability. The proposed broadband terahertz perfect absorption device is a three-layer structure with a metal reflective layer, a silicon dioxide dielectric layer and a VO2 layer from bottom to top. It was found that the terahertz perfect absorption device's absorption could be dynamically adjusted from 1.2% to 99.9% when changing from an insulated to a metallic state. With the VO2 in the metallic state, the terahertz perfect absorption device has an absorption efficiency of more than 90% in 4.00 to 10.08 THz's ultra-broadband range and near-perfect absorption is achieved in the ranges of 4.71 THz to 5.16 THz and 7.74 THz to 8.06 THz. To explain the working principle of this terahertz perfect absorption device, this paper utilizes wave interference's principle, theory of impedance matching and electric field analysis. Compared to previously reported terahertz metamaterial devices, the vanadium dioxide device proposed in this paper is significantly optimized in terms of tunable range and absorption bandwidth. In addition, the terahertz perfect absorption device is polarization insensitive and maintains good absorptivity over a wide-angle incidence range. The combination of electron-deficient viologen ligands with electron-rich POMs is a typical acceptor–donor system that has recently received much attention. Under solvothermal and hydrothermal conditions, by introducing three symmetric viologen ligands into POM-based hybrid materials, we successfully constructed four POMs–viologen inorganic–organic hybrid compounds, namely (1,3-bcbpy)2·(δ-Mo8O26) (1) (1,3-bcbpy·2Cl = 1,1′-bis(3-carboxybenzyl)-4,4′-bipyridine dichloride), {CoII(1,4-bcbpy)2(H2O)2[H2(β-Mo8O26)]}·2H2O·2CH2O (2), (1,4-bcbpy)2·(δ-Mo8O26)·2H2O (3) (1,4-bcbpy·2Cl = 1,1′-bis(4-carboxybenzyl)-4,4′-bipyridine dichloride, CH2O = formaldehyde), and {CuII(1,1-pmbby)2(H2O)[H2(β-Mo8O26)2]}·5H2O·C2H7N (4) (1,1-pmbby·2Cl = 1,1′-[1,4-phenylbis(methylene)]bis-(4,4′-bipyridine)dichloride, C2H7N = dimethylamine). These four compounds exhibit different fascinating structures, especially compound 4 is a typical metal–organic framework. Compounds 1–4 exhibit good discoloration behaviors under various external stimuli. For example, compounds 1–4 showed a positive response to the irradiation from a 300 W Xe lamp. When a positive voltage was applied to the ECD based on compounds 1–4, 1/2/3/4-ECD underwent a significant color conversion. What's more, compound 4 also showed obvious discoloration results after heating. In a word, 1–4 are multifunctional discoloration materials under different external stimuli. In addition, the coated filter paper prepared based on compound 3 can be used as a new printing material medium and can be successfully applied in erasable inkless printing and dual anti-counterfeiting. A luminescent trimethylamine (TMA) sensor, PTMA-Ir, has been designed and synthesized through immobilizing a phosphorescent iridium(III) complex on a TMA-imprinted polymer. Detailed study shows that the quenching of phosphorescence of PTMA-Ir can serve as a reporter for the binding of TMA on the imprinting sites, thus providing a sensitive, selective, and rapid detection of TMA in both aqueous solutions and gaseous states. Loading PTMA-Ir on filter paper produced a deposition T-Ir, the phosphorescence of which is quenched within 5 s upon exposure to TMA vapor with detection limits of 9.0 ± 0.1 ppm under argon and 15.0 ± 0.1 ppm in an air atmosphere. In the practical application of microwave absorbing materials, traditional powder materials need to be mixed with the matrix to fabricate composite coatings. However, the complex preparation process of composite coatings and the uneven dispersion of powders in the matrix limit their application. To solve these problems, two-dimensional (2D) F-WS2/CP composite films were prepared by using carbon paper (CP) as a dispersion matrix and loading flower-like WS2 on its surface through a simple hydrothermal method. The morphology and microwave absorption (MA) performance of the composite films are easily regulated by adjusting the amount of reaction precursors. The combination of WS2 and CP facilitates impedance matching and improves the electromagnetic wave attenuation performance based on the synergistic effect of different loss mechanisms including multiple reflections and scattering, interfacial polarization, dipolar polarization, and conduction loss. At a low filler content (5 wt%), the maximum reflection loss (RL) of the composite film is up to -50 dB (99.999% energy absorption) at 12.5 GHz with 2.8 mm thickness. Moreover, at a relatively thin 1.8 mm thickness, its maximum RL remains -35 dB (>99.9% energy absorption). The as-prepared composite film shows excellent MA properties at a thinner thickness and lower filling content, providing inspiration for the preparation of light weight and efficient 2D thin-film microwave absorbers in the future. Cyclometalated iridium(III) compounds have been widely explored due to their outstanding photo-physical properties and multiple anticancer activities. In this paper, three cyclometalated iridium(III) compounds [Ir(ppy)2(DBDIP)]PF6 (5a), [Ir(bzq)2(DBDIP)]PF6 (5b), and [Ir(piq)2(DBDIP)]PF6 (5c) (ppy: 2-phenylpyridine; bzq: benzo[h]quinoline; piq: 1-phenylisoquinoline, and DBDIP: 2-(2,3-dihydrobenzo[b][1,4]dioxin-6-yl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline) were synthesized and the mechanism of antitumor activity was investigated. Compounds photoactivated by visible light show strong cytotoxicity against tumor cells, especially toward A549 cells. Biological experiments such as migration, cellular localization, mitochondrial membrane potential and permeability, reactive oxygen species (ROS) and calcium ion level detection were performed, and they demonstrated that the compounds induced the apoptosis of A549 cells through a mitochondrial pathway. At the same time, oxidative stress caused by ROS production increases the release of damage-related molecules and the expression of porogen gasdermin D (GSDMD), and the content of LDH released from damaged cell membranes also increased. Besides, the content of the lipid peroxidation product, malondialdehyde (MDA), increased and the expression of GPX4 decreased. These indicate that the compounds promote cell death by combining ferroptosis and pyroptosis. The results reveal that cyclometalated iridium(III) compounds 5a–5c may be a potential chemotherapeutic agent for photodynamic therapy of cancers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Silver bismuth diselenide (AgBiSe2) has attracted much attention as an efficient thermoelectric material owing to its low thermal conductivity. However, AgBiSe2 exhibits multiple crystal structural transitions with temperature, and high thermoelectric performance was realized only in the high-temperature cubic phase. We previously reported the stabilization of the cubic phase in AgBiSe2-2xSxTex with x = 0.6-0.8 at room temperature using a high-entropy-alloy (HEA) approach. In this paper, we succeeded in stabilizing the cubic phase in AgBiSe2-2xSxTex with x = 0-0.6 using an ice-quenching method and investigated the HE effect on thermoelectric properties below room temperature to avoid the emergence of a hexagonal phase above room temperature. Cubic AgBiSe2-2xSxTex exhibited n-type conductivity at 10-300 K. The increase in electrical conductivity is due to a combined effect of increased charge density and electron mobility, depending on the sample. It is evident that charge carrier density strongly increases in the x = 0.4 sample while the mobility remains roughly the same compared to the x = 0.0 sample. In x = 0.2 and 0.6 samples, electronic conductivity increases primarily due to enhanced mobility. S and Te substitutions induced a variation in the band structure, resulting in carrier mobility enhancement. Furthermore, thermal conductivity showed reduction tendency with increasing amounts of S and Te due to the enhancement of phonon scattering. Simultaneous electronic conductivity increase and thermal conductivity reduction resulted in the systematic improvement of ZT values for HE-type cubic AgBiSe2-2xSxTex. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, we present the synthesis of four new complexes: the dimeric precursor [Ir(dmppz)2(μ-Cl)]2 (1) (Hdmppz -- 3,5-dimethyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole) and heteroleptic bis-cyclometalated complexes: [Ir(dmppz)2(Py2CO)]PF6•½CH2Cl2 (2), [Ir(dmppz)2(H2biim)]PF6•H2O (3), and [Ir(dmppz)2(PyBIm)]PF6 (4), with auxiliary N,N-donor ligands: 2-di(pyridyl)ketone (Py2CO), 2,2'-biimidazole (H2biim) and 2-(2'-pyridyl)benzimidazole (PyBIm). In the obtained complexes, SC-X-ray analysis revealed that Ir(III) has an octahedral coordination sphere with chromophores of the type {IrN2C2Cl2} (1) or {IrN4C2} (2-4). The complexes obtained, which have been fully characterised by physicochemical methods (CHN, TG, FTIR, UV-Vis, PL and ¹H, 13C, 15N NMR), were used to continue our studies on the factors influencing the cytotoxic properties of potential chemotherapeutic agents (in vitro). To this end, the following studies are presented: (i) comparative analysis of the effects on the biological properties of N,N-donor ligands and C,N-donor ligands in the studied complexes, (ii) studies of the interactions of the compounds with the selected molecular target: DNA and BSA (UV-Vis, CD and PL methods), (iii) and the reactivity towards redox molecules: GSH, NADH (UV-Vis and/or ESI-MS methods), (iv) cytotoxic activity (IC50) of potential chemotherapeutics against MCF-7, K-562 and CCRF-CEM cell lines. This paper explores the findings on the structures and physicochemical properties of titanium-oxo complexes (TOCs) stabilized by 9-hydroxy-9-fluorenecarboxylate ligands. Two complexes, with the overall formulas [Ti4O(OiPr)10(O3C14H8)2] (1) and [Ti6O4(OiPr)2(O3C14H8)4(O2CEt)6] (2), have been synthesized. The structures of the isolated crystals (1 and 2) were determined using single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Molecular structure analysis of the crystals also employed vibrational spectroscopic techniques (IR and Raman), UV--Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-Vis-DRS), and powder X-ray diffraction (XRD). Density functional theory (DFT) was utilized to elucidate the electronic structures of these complexes. Furthermore, the theoretical charge distribution in 1 and 2 and their reactivity were calculated. C-Nitroso compounds (RNO, R = alkyl and aryl) are byproducts of drug metabolism and bind to heme proteins, and their heme-RNO adducts are isoelectronic to ferrous nitroxyl (NO−/HNO) complexes. Importantly, heme-HNO compounds are key intermediates in the reduction of NO to N2O and nitrite to ammonium in the nitrogen cycle. Ferrous heme-RNO complexes act as stable analogs of these species, potentially allowing for the investigation of the vibrational and electronic properties of unstable heme-HNO intermediates. In this paper, a series of six-coordinate ferrous heme-RNO complexes (where R = iPr and Ph) were prepared using the TPP2− and 3,5-Me-BAFP2− co-ligands, and tetrahydrofuran, pyridine, and 1-methylimidazole as the axial ligands (bound trans to RNO). These complexes were characterized using different spectroscopic methods and X-ray crystallography. The complex [Fe(TPP)(THF)(iPrNO)] was further utilized for nuclear resonance vibrational spectroscopy (NRVS), allowing for the detailed assignment of the Fe–N(R)O vibrations of a heme-RNO complex for the first time. The vibrational properties of these species were then correlated with those of their HNO analogs, using DFT calculations. Our studies support previous findings that RNO ligands in ferrous heme complexes do not elicit a significant trans effect. In addition, the complexes are air-stable, and do not show any reactivity of their RNO ligands towards NO. So although ferrous heme-RNO complexes are suitable structural and electronic models for their HNO analogs, they are unsuitable to model the reactivity of heme-HNO complexes. We further investigated the reaction of our heme-RNO complexes with different Lewis acids. Here, [Fe(TPP)(THF)(iPrNO)] was found to be unreactive towards Lewis acids. In contrast, [Fe(3,5-Me-BAFP)(iPrNO)2] is reactive towards all of the Lewis acids investigated here, but in most cases the iron center is simply oxidized, resulting in the loss of the iPrNO ligand. In this paper, three different Zn(II) complexes with (E)-2-(2-(1-(6-bromopyridin-2-yl)ethylidene)hydrazinyl)-N,N,N-trimethyl-2-oxoethan-1-aminium chloride (HLCl) have been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectroscopy. All complexes are mononuclear, with the ligand (L) coordinated in a deprotonated formally neutral zwitterionic form via NNO donor set atoms. Complex 1 forms an octahedral geometry with the composition [ZnL2](BF4)2, while complexes 2 [ZnL(NCO)2] and 3 [ZnL(N3)2] form penta-coordinated geometry. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed to enhance our understanding of the structures of the synthesized complexes and the cytotoxic activity of the complexes was tested against five human cancer cell lines (HeLa, A549, MDA-MB-231, K562, LS 174T) and normal human fibroblasts MRC-5. Additionally, antibacterial and antifungal activity of these complexes was tested against a panel of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, two fungal strains, and a yeast strain. It is noteworthy that all three complexes show selective antifungal activity comparable to that of amphotericin B. Molecular docking analysis predicted that geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate synthase, an enzyme essential for sterol biosynthesis, is the most likely target for inhibition by the tested complexes. The design and development of new large-capacity and selective materials for extracting rare precious metals via electronic waste is practically essential. In this paper, a new efficient UiO-66-NCS has been obtained as a consequence of the modification of the classical Zr-MOF (UiO-66-NH2), and its ability to recover gold has been investigated. These batch results adequately illustrated that UiO-66-NCS exhibited good adsorption capacity (675.5 mg g−1) and exceptional selectivity. In addition, UiO-66-NCS achieved faster adsorption equilibrium times of about 120 min. Adsorption kinetics and isotherms demonstrated that the pseudo-second-order adsorption scheme and a Langmuir-type procedure were shown by the adsorption of Au(III) on UiO-66-NCS. Characterized by pH effect experiments, TEM, XRD, and XPS, the adsorption of UiO-66-NCS with Au(III) relies on coordination, which further results in reduction, and the generated Au(0) is uniformly dispersed in the MOF. The adsorbent has considerable advantages for cyclic regeneration. Finally, DFT fitting results showed that the adsorption binding energy of UiO-66-NCS with [AuCl4]− was −8.63 kcal mol−1 for the adsorption process. The activation and selective functionalization of inert C(sp3)–H bonds is fundamental for industrial applications and occupies a very important place in industry, but it remains a great challenge in current synthetic chemistry. In this paper, we report an approach for activating reactive tert-butyl peroxyl radicals by modifying Ru–porphyrin into metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) for the activation of inert C(sp3)–H bonds. Under mild conditions, the Ru–porphyrinyl MOF can activate the peroxyl radical, extracting a hydrogen atom from the inert C(sp3)–H bond. Mn2+ paddlewheels with unsaturated coordination sites were introduced into the MOF, and direct oxidative conversion using environmentally friendly oxygen provides a new pathway to activate the inert C(sp3)–H bond. In this paper, a broadband solar absorber is constructed and simulated based on the finite difference time domain method (FDTD). The modeled structure of the absorber consists of cyclic stacking of five absorber cells with different periods on refractory metal W, where a single absorber cell is composed of a three-layer SiO2-InAs-TiN square film. Due to the Fabry–Perot resonance and the surface plasmon resonance (SPR), an absorptivity greater than 90% within a bandwidth of 2599.5 nm was achieved for the absorber. Notably, one of these bands, 2001 nm, is a high-efficiency absorption with an absorption rate greater than 99%. The average absorption efficiency reaches 99.31% at an air mass of 1.5 (AM 1.5), and the thermal radiation efficiencies are 97.35% and 97.83% at 1000 K and 1200 K, respectively. At the same time, the structure of the absorber is also polarization-independent, and when the solar incidence angle is increased to 60°, it still achieves an average absorption of 90.83% over the entire wavelength band (280 nm to 3000 nm). The novelty of our work is to provide a design idea based on a unit structure with multiple cycles, which can effectively expand the absorption bandwidth of the absorber in the visible-near-infrared wavelengths. Red phosphors play an important role in improving the light quality and color rendering index of white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) for lighting. In this paper, we report the transition ion Mn4+-activated deep red phosphor GdGeSbO6:x%Mn4+ and analyze its crystal structure, composition and luminescence behavior in detail. Its optimal doping concentration of Mn4+ is 0.3%. Under ultraviolet (UV) excitation, GdGeSbO6:0.3%Mn4+ produces a narrow emission peak centred at 682 nm in the range of 650–800 nm with a full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 25 nm, which is attributed to the spin-prohibited 2Eg → 4A2g transition of Mn4+ ions. Notably, the optimal phosphor GdGeSbO6:0.3%Mn4+ has a high internal quantum efficiency (IQE ≈ 65%) and excellent thermal stability performance (I423 K/I303 K ≈ 62%). The synthesis of high-performance warm WLEDs and full-spectrum WLEDs was achieved by combining and coating GdGeSbO6:0.3%Mn4+ phosphors with commercial phosphors on the surface of a 365 nm UV chip. Quadruple perovskites with high magnetic transition temperatures are an interesting class of compounds but are synthesized typically under high pressure. Ambient pressure synthesis of new multinary quadruple perovskites having a high global instability index (GII) and transition temperature can be interesting for future exploration of high-TC oxides. A new A- and B-site ordered multinary quadruple perovskite, LaCu3Fe2RuSbO12, is synthesized by conventional solid-state reactions at ambient pressure. Rietveld structure refinement revealed that the compound crystallizes in the Pn3¯ space group with a lattice parameter of 7.4556(4) Å. The compound showed complete 1 : 3 ordering of La and Cu at the A-site and 1 : 1 rock-salt ordering of Fe with Ru/Sb at the B-site. The compound is also probed with scanning and transmission electron microscopy and XPS to investigate the chemical composition, microstructure, lattice and oxidation states of the elements. Magnetic studies revealed antiferromagnetic (AFM) correlations with magnetic ordering transitions at ∼170 and 40 K. Furthermore, the M–H hysteretic behavior at 100 and 5 K indicated ferrimagnetism due to short-range AFM interactions among Fe3+(3d5) and Ru4+(4d4) spins involving Cu2+(↑)–Fe3+(↓)–Ru4+(↑) triads. The specific heat data reaffirmed the magnetic signatures while electrical transport showed semiconducting behavior with variable range hopping. Platinum-based catalysts exhibit outstanding electrocatalytic performance in the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). However, platinum-based catalysts face significant challenges due to their rarity and high cost. Polylactic acid (PLA) is a biodegradable and biocompatible polymer with versatile applications in packaging and medicine. It is derived from lactic acid and thus represents an eco-friendly option sourced from renewable raw materials. Despite its advantages, PLA exhibits few drawbacks, such as brittleness and relatively high melting and glass transition temperatures. However, these limitations can be addressed through copolymerization with other monomers like ε-caprolactone (ε-CL), resulting in a composite material with improved physical properties. Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as promising electrode materials for supercapacitors (SCs) due to their highly porous structures, tunable chemical compositions, and diverse morphologies. However, their applications are hindered by low conductivity and poor cycling performance. A novel approach for resolving this issue involves the growth of layered double hydroxides (LDHs) using MOFs as efficient templates or precursors for electrode material preparation. This method effectively enhances the stability, electrical conductivity, and mass transport ability of MOFs. The MOF-derived LDH exhibits a well-defined porous micro-/nano-structure, facilitating the dispersion of active sites and preventing the aggregation of LDHs. Firstly, this paper introduces synthesis strategies for converting MOFs into LDHs. Subsequently, recent research progress in MOF-derived LDHs encompassing pristine LDH powders, LDH composites, and LDH-based arrays, along with their applications in SCs, is overviewed. Photoelectrochemical (PEC) technology in marine engineering holds significant importance due to its potential to address various challenges in the marine environment. Currently, PEC-type applications in marine engineering offer numerous benefits, including sustainable energy generation, water desalination and treatment, photodetection, and communication. Finding novel efficient photoresponse semiconductors is of great significance for the development of PEC-type techniques in the marine space. Bismuth-based semiconductor materials possess suitable and tunable bandgap structures, high carrier mobility, low toxicity, and strong oxidation capacity, which gives them great potential for PEC-type applications in marine engineering. In this paper, the structure and properties of bismuth binary and mixed-anion semiconductors have been reviewed. Meanwhile, the recent progress and synthetic approaches were discussed from the point of view of the application prospects. Finally, the issues and challenges of bismuth binary and mixed-anion semiconductors in PEC-type photodetection and hydrogen generation are analyzed. Thus, this perspective will not only stimulate the further investigation and application of bismuth binary and mixed-anion semiconductors in marine engineering but also help related practitioners understand the recent progress and potential applications of bismuth binary and mixed-anion compounds.
