This paper presents an analytical method for the dimensioning and selection of the four glass tube collector types: single-glazed with an air layer, single-glazed with a vacuum layer, double-glazed with an air layer, and double-glazed with a vacuum layer. In the first part of the paper (dimensioning phase), the iterative thermal resistance calculation algorithms were developed for all glass tube collector types, whereby the iterative thermal resistance calculation algorithm of the single-glazed tube collector with an air layer was experimentally tested and validated. The second part of the paper (selection phase) uses a multi-criteria decision-making method to determine the optimal glass tube collector design. Unlike other papers, three indicator groups are taken into account in this case: geometric (mass, surface occupation, total surface occupation, volume occupation), economic (manufacturing and exploitation costs), and ecological (embodied energy and greenhouse gas emission). The proposed method is characterized by simple and fast calculations with satisfactory accuracy, which avoids high investment costs (experimental research), approximation and discretization of physical models (numerical research), and a large number of input parameters with boundary conditions (theoretical research). It should be noted that, with certain additions and changes, it can also be applied to other solar thermal collectors, so the authors believe such tools are handy for the global scientific public. Path planning is one of the core issues in the autonomous navigation of an Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV), as the accuracy of the results directly affects the safety of the USV. Hence, this paper proposes a USV path planning algorithm that integrates an improved Particle Swarm Optimisation (PSO) algorithm with a Dynamic Window Approach (DWA). Firstly, in order to advance the solution accuracy and convergence speed of the PSO algorithm, a nonlinear decreasing inertia weight and adaptive learning factors are introduced. Secondly, in order to solve the problem of long path and path non-smoothness, the fitness function of PSO is modified to consider both path length and path smoothness. Finally, the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) are utilised to achieve dynamic obstacle avoidance while complying with maritime practices. This paper presents a design method of a suspension controller with an adaptive feedforward algorithm for ride comfort enhancement and motion sickness mitigation. Recently, it was shown that motion sickness is caused by combined heave and pitch motions of a sprung mass within the range of 0.8 and 8 Hz. For this reason, it is necessary to design a suspension controller for the purpose of reducing the heave and pitch vibration of a sprung mass within this range. To represent the heave acceleration and the pitch rate of a sprung mass, a 4-DOF half-car model is adopted as a vehicle model. For easy implementation in a real vehicle, a static output feedback control is adopted instead of a full-state one. To reduce the heave acceleration of a sprung mass for ride comfort enhancement, a linear quadratic SOF controller is designed. To reduce the pitch rate of a sprung mass for motion sickness mitigation, a filtered-X LMS algorithm is applied. To validate the method, simulation on vehicle simulation software is conducted. Understanding the dynamics of bubble growth and collapse during gas–liquid two-phase transient flow is crucial for minimizing pipeline wear and maintaining the normal operation of the pipeline system. This paper focuses on obtaining the bubble trajectory, movement velocity, and volume change of gas bubbles. The bubble images during the transient flow are first denoised and enhanced, then the moving target detection algorithm and watershed segmentation algorithm are used to segment the bubbles, and the contour reconstruction of the bubbles is performed using fitting to extract the relevant parameters. The movement trajectories of the bubbles are then traced by analyzing the trajectories and velocities of growth and collapse of the first bubbles during the transient flow, specifically when the flow rate of the hydraulic pipeline is 0.75 m/s. Finally, the changes in gas content during the transient flow in the pipeline under different initial flow rates are compared between the algorithm proposed here and the simulation results. Security issues and privacy issues are serious problems facing today's society, especially in image security, where privacy protection plays a pivotal role. To improve the security of images, we propose an image encryption algorithm based on optical chaos and Rubik's cube matrix in this paper. First, optical chaos is generated by constructing an optical device model. Second, in the image encryption algorithm, optical chaos and Rubik's cube matrix are used to encrypt the image at the bit level for the first time, and a "U" type encryption method is designed, and different "U" type encryption schemes are selected to encrypt the image for the second time. Finally, the "four-way diffusion" algorithm is used to diffuse the encrypted image, which further improves the security of the image. The computer simulations and security analysis results both confirm that ciphertext images can resist various common attack means, such as statistical attacks, differential attacks, and brute force attacks. In this paper, the proposed algorithm of decimal conversion, "U" encryption, and "quadrangle diffusion" makes the pixel value and pixel position change greatly, and the ciphertext image loses the original features of the plaintext image, which shows that the algorithm has good security performance and is suitable for image encryptions. The question "How does it work" has motivated many scientists. Through the study of natural phenomena and behaviors, many intelligence algorithms have been proposed to solve various optimization problems. This paper aims to offer an informative guide for researchers who are interested in tackling optimization problems with intelligence algorithms. First, a special neural network was comprehensively discussed, and it was called a zeroing neural network (ZNN). It is especially intended for solving time-varying optimization problems, including origin, basic principles, operation mechanism, model variants, and applications. This paper presents a new classification method based on the performance index of ZNNs. Then, two classic bio-inspired algorithms, a genetic algorithm and a particle swarm algorithm, are outlined as representatives, including their origin, design process, basic principles, and applications. Finally, to emphasize the applicability of intelligence algorithms, three practical domains are introduced, including gene feature extraction, intelligence communication, and the image process. This paper addresses the challenge of detecting unknown or unforeseen obstacles in railway track transportation, proposing an innovative detection strategy that integrates an incremental clustering algorithm with lightweight segmentation techniques. In the detection phase, the paper innovatively employs the incremental clustering algorithm as a core method, combined with dilation and erosion theories, to expand the boundaries of point cloud clusters, merging adjacent point cloud elements into unified clusters. This method effectively identifies and connects spatially adjacent point cloud clusters while efficiently eliminating noise from target object point clouds, thereby achieving more precise recognition of unknown obstacles on the track. Furthermore, the effective integration of this algorithm with lightweight shared convolutional semantic segmentation algorithms enables accurate localization of obstacles. Experimental results using two combined public datasets demonstrate that the obstacle detection average recall rate of the proposed method reaches 90.3%, significantly enhancing system reliability. These findings indicate that the proposed detection strategy effectively improves the accuracy and real-time performance of obstacle recognition, thereby presenting important practical application value for ensuring the safe operation of railway tracks. A deep-seated landslide could release numerous microseismic signals from creep-slip movement, which includes a rock-soil slip from the slope surface and a rock-soil shear rupture in the subsurface. Machine learning can effectively enhance the classification of microseismic signals in landslide seismic monitoring and interpret the mechanical processes of landslide motion. In this paper, eight sets of triaxial seismic sensors were deployed inside the deep-seated landslide, Jiuxianping, China, and a large number of microseismic signals related to the slope movement were obtained through 1-year-long continuous monitoring. All the data were passed through the seismic event identification mode, the ratio of the long-time average and short-time average. We selected 11 days of data, manually classified 4131 data into eight categories, and created a microseismic event database. Classical machine learning algorithms and ensemble learning algorithms were tested in this paper. In order to evaluate the seismic event classification performance of each algorithmic model, we evaluated the proposed algorithms through the dimensions of the accuracy, precision, and recall of each model. The validation results demonstrated that the best performing decision tree algorithm among the classical machine learning algorithms had an accuracy of 88.75%, while the ensemble algorithms, including random forest, Gradient Boosting Trees, Extreme Gradient Boosting, and Light Gradient Boosting Machine, had an accuracy range from 93.5% to 94.2% and also achieved better results in the combined evaluation of the precision, recall, and F1 score. The specific classification tests for each microseismic event category showed the same results. We live in the era of large data analysis, where processing vast datasets has become essential for uncovering valuable insights across various domains of our lives. Machine learning (ML) algorithms offer powerful tools for processing and analyzing this abundance of information. However, the considerable time and computational resources needed for training ML models pose significant challenges, especially within cascade schemes, due to the iterative nature of training algorithms, the complexity of feature extraction and transformation processes, and the large sizes of the datasets involved. This paper proposes a modification to the existing ML-based cascade scheme for analyzing large biomedical datasets by incorporating principal component analysis (PCA) at each level of the cascade. We selected the number of principal components to replace the initial inputs so that it ensured 95% variance retention. Furthermore, we enhanced the training and application algorithms and demonstrated the effectiveness of the modified cascade scheme through comparative analysis, which showcased a significant reduction in training time while improving the generalization properties of the method and the accuracy of the large data analysis. The improved enhanced generalization properties of the scheme stemmed from the reduction in nonsignificant independent attributes in the dataset, which further enhanced its performance in intelligent large data analysis. Autonomous vehicles are rapidly advancing and have the potential to revolutionize transportation in the future. This paper primarily focuses on vehicle motion trajectory planning algorithms, examining the methods for estimating collision risks based on sensed environmental information and approaches for achieving user-aligned trajectory planning results. It investigates the different categories of planning algorithms within the scope of local trajectory planning applications for autonomous driving, discussing and differentiating their properties in detail through a review of the recent studies. The risk estimation methods are classified and introduced based on their descriptions of the sensed collision risks in traffic environments and their integration with trajectory planning algorithms. Additionally, various user experience-oriented methods, which utilize human data to enhance the trajectory planning performance and generate human-like trajectories, are explored. The paper provides comparative analyses of these algorithms and methods from different perspectives, revealing the interconnections between these topics. Detecting and recognizing pests are paramount for ensuring the healthy growth of crops, maintaining ecological balance, and enhancing food production. With the advancement of artificial intelligence technologies, traditional pest detection and recognition algorithms based on manually selected pest features have gradually been substituted by deep learning-based algorithms. In this review paper, we first introduce the primary neural network architectures and evaluation metrics in the field of pest detection and pest recognition. Subsequently, we summarize widely used public datasets for pest detection and recognition. Following this, we present various pest detection and recognition algorithms proposed in recent years, providing detailed descriptions of each algorithm and their respective performance metrics. Finally, we outline the challenges that current deep learning-based pest detection and recognition algorithms encounter and propose future research directions for related algorithms. As blockchain technology advances, cross-chain interoperability has become a crucial requirement for achieving seamless interaction among multiple chains. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a scholarly approach to the development of a cross-chain-secure transmission technique, incorporating the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and the SM algorithm, which is based on trusted roots. This research paper elaborates on the design and implementation of the cross-chain-secure transmission technique based on TPM and the SM algorithm, emphasizing the academic rigor necessary for addressing the security requirements of cross-chain interactions. The research shows that compared with the previous method, the throughput of production capacity is not significantly different from that before and after adding the network delay, and the success rate of preventing attacks is increased by 46.9% by simulating related attacks. This paper presents an innovative mathematical model of solid fuel gasification, which is not described in the available literature. The calculation of the components of the heterogeneous phase (including both solid and gaseous phases) as well as the calculation of the homogeneous phase (only gaseous components) is based on the balance of the total amounts of carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, and nitrogen entering the reactor space. Additionally, this paper introduces a new method for calculating the composition of the gaseous phase, based on reducing the heterogeneous mixture (composed of solid and gaseous phases) to a homogeneous gaseous phase. This approach to calculating the gaseous phase composition in the solid fuel gasification process has not been found by the authors in the cited literature. This paper also presents a model for calculating the heterogeneous and gaseous phases using the number of moles that participate in the assumed chemical reactions of the solid fuel gasification process. This approach to calculating the composition of the heterogeneous and gaseous phases of the solid fuel gasification process is also not represented in the cited literature. For comparison with the literature data, municipal solid waste (MSW) and cashew nut shell (Cashew Shell Char (CNSC)) were used as fuels in the calculation of gasification composition. The results of the calculation of the gaseous phase composition using the model presented in the paper show good agreement with the data from the literature. The calculation of the composition of the heterogeneous mixture during the steam gasification of MSW (α = 0.4) shows the presence of a solid phase (carbon) up to approximately 735 °C. At that temperature, the synthetic gas contains only gaseous components: CO = 33.10%, H2 = 52.70%, CH4 = 2.54%, CO2 = 4.97, H2O = 5.93% and N2 = 0.76%. Increasing the temperature above 735 °C eliminates the solid phase from the equilibrium mixture. The literature data on solid fuel gasification generally do not consider the proportion of the solid phase (carbon) in the equilibrium mixture. To satisfy the material balance at the input and output of the gasification reactor, it is necessary to determine the proportion of the solid phase (carbon) in the equilibrium mixture. Since the proportion of the solid phase (carbon) in the heterogeneous equilibrium mixture can only be determined through measurement, the development and application of a mathematical model in engineering practice is of great importance, so this developed model can be considered a useful tool for simulating the influence of process parameters on gas characteristics. Role-based access control (RBAC) is a widely adopted access control model in various domains for defining security management. Role mining is closely related to role-based access control, as the latter employs role assignments to offer a flexible and scalable approach to managing permissions within an organization. The edge role mining problem (Edge RMP), a variant of the role mining problem (RMP), has long been recognized as an effective strategy for role assignment. Role mining, which groups users with similar access permissions into the same role, bears some resemblance to symmetry. Symmetry categorizes objects or graphics with identical characteristics into one group. Both involve a certain form of "classification" or "induction". Edge-RMP reduces the associations between users and permissions, thereby lowering the security risks faced by the system. While an algorithm based on Boolean matrix factorization exists for this problem, it fails to further refine the resulting user–role assignment (UA) and role–permission assignment (PA) relationships. Additionally, this algorithm does not address constraint-related issues, such as cardinality constraints, user exclusion constraints, and user capabilities. Furthermore, it demonstrates significant redundancy of roles when handling large datasets, leaving room for further optimization of Edge-RMP results. To address these concerns, this paper proposes the MFC-RMA algorithm based on Boolean matrix factorization. The method achieves significant optimization of Edge-RMP results by handling relationships between roles possessing various permissions. Furthermore, this paper clusters, compresses, modifies, and optimizes the original data based on the similarity between users, ensuring its usability for role mining. Both theoretical and practical considerations are taken into account for different types of constraints, and algorithms are devised to reallocate roles incorporating these constraints, thereby generating UA and PA matrices. The proposed approach yields optimal numbers of generated roles and the sum of the minimum number of generated edges to address the aforementioned issues. To ensure optimal use of images while preserving privacy, it is necessary to partition the shared image into public and private areas, with public areas being openly accessible and private areas being shared in a controlled and privacy-preserving manner. Current works only facilitate image-level sharing and use common cryptographic algorithms. To ensure efficient, controlled, and privacy-preserving image sharing at the area level, this paper proposes an image partition security-sharing mechanism based on blockchain and chaotic encryption, which mainly includes a fine-grained access control method based on Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) and an image-specific chaotic encryption scheme. The proposed fine-grained access control method employs smart contracts based on the ABAC model to achieve automatic access control for private areas. It employs a Cuckoo filter-based transaction retrieval technique to enhance the efficiency of smart contracts in retrieving security attributes and policies on the blockchain. The proposed chaotic encryption scheme generates keys based on the private areas' security attributes, largely reducing the number of keys required. It also provides efficient encryption with vector operation acceleration. The security analysis and performance evaluation were conducted comprehensively. The extensive deployment of wind farms has significantly impacted the detection capabilities of space–air bistatic radar (SABR) systems. Although space–time adaptive processing techniques are available, their performance is significantly degraded, and even unable to suppress clutter. This paper explores the geometric configuration of the SABR system and the selection of detection areas, establishing a space–time clutter model that addresses the effects of wind turbine clutter (WTC). Expressions for spatial and Doppler frequencies have been derived to deeply analyze the characteristics of clutter spreading. Building on this, the paper extends two-dimensional space–time data to three-dimensional azimuth–elevation–Doppler data. It proposes a three-dimensional space–time multi-beam (STMB) strategy incorporating the Ordering Points to Identify the Clustering Structure (OPTICS) clustering algorithm to suppress WTC effectively. This algorithm selects WTC samples and applies OPTICS clustering to the clutter-suppressed data to achieve this effect. Simulation experiments further verify the effectiveness of the algorithm. This paper focuses on detecting and tracking maneuvering weak targets in the range–Doppler (RD) plane with the track-before-detect (TBD) algorithm based on dynamic programming (DP). Traditional DP-TBD algorithms integrate target detection and tracking in their framework while searching the paths provided by a predefined model of the kinematic properties within the constraints allowed. However, both the approximate motion model used in the RD plane and the model mismatch caused when the target undergoes a maneuver can degrade the TBD performance sharply. To address these issues, this paper accurately describes the evolution of the RD equation based on Constant Acceleration (CA) and Coordinated Turn (CT) motion models with the process noise in the Cartesian coordinate system, and it also employs a recursive method to estimate the parameters in the equations for efficient energy accumulation and path searches. Facing the situation that targets energy accumulation during the DP iteration process will lead to an expansion of the target energy accumulation process. This paper designs a more efficient Optimization Function (OF) to inhibit the expansion effect, improve the resolution of the nearby targets, and increase the detection probability of the weak targets simultaneously. In addition, to search the trajectory more efficiently and accurately, we improved the process of DP multi-frame accumulation, thus reducing the computation amount of large-scale searches. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method for CA and CT motion target detection and tracking is verified by many of the simulation experiments that were conducted in this paper. A bullet point cloud registration algorithm with a low overlap rate based on line feature detection was proposed to solve the problem of the difficulty and low efficiency of point cloud registration due to the low overlap rate among point clouds sampled by the bullet model. In this paper, voxel downsampling is used to remove some noise points and outliers from the bullet point cloud and applied to the specified resolution to reduce the calculation cost. The bullet point cloud is transformed to a better initial position by fitting the central axis with the geometrical features of the bullet. Then, the direction vector of the bullet linear features is obtained by using an icosahedral fitting discrete Hough transform to simplify the parameter space of the search transformation. Finally, the optimal rotation angle is searched for in the parameter space by using the improved Cuckoo algorithm to realize the registration of the bullet point cloud with a low overlap rate. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed registration method can accurately register bullet point clouds of different densities with a low overlap rate. Compared with the commonly used ICP, GICP, and TRICP algorithms, the registration error of the proposed algorithm is reduced by 92.68% on average when the overlap rate is 52.85%. The registration error is reduced by 98.87% in the case of a 41.36% overlap rate, by 99.52% in the case of a 33.02% overlap rate, and by 98.89% in the case of a 22.75% overlap rate. Short-term power load forecasting plays a key role in daily scheduling and ensuring stable power system operation. The problem of the volatility of the power load sequence and poor prediction accuracy is addressed. In this study, a learning model integrating intelligent optimization algorithms is proposed, which combines an ensemble-learning model based on long short-term memory (LSTM), variational modal decomposition (VMD) and the multi-strategy optimization dung beetle algorithm (MODBO). The aim is to address the shortcomings of the dung beetle optimizer algorithm (DBO) in power load forecasting, such as its time-consuming nature, low accuracy, and ease of falling into local optimum. In this paper, firstly, the dung beetle algorithm is initialized using a lens-imaging reverse-learning strategy to avoid premature convergence of the algorithm. Second, a spiral search strategy is used to update the dynamic positions of the breeding dung beetles to balance the local and global search capabilities. Then, the positions of the foraging dung beetles are updated using an optimal value bootstrapping strategy to avoid falling into a local optimum. Finally, the dynamic-weighting coefficients are used to update the position of the stealing dung beetle to improve the global search ability and convergence of the algorithm. The proposed new algorithm is named MVMO-LSTM. Compared to traditional intelligent algorithms, the four-quarter averages of the RMSE, MAE and R2 of MVMO-LSTM are improved by 0.1147–0.7989 KW, 0.09799–0.6937 KW, and 1.00–13.05%, respectively. The experimental results show that the MVMO-LSTM proposed in this paper not only solves the shortcomings of the DBO but also enhances the stability, global optimization capability and information utilization of the model. Recent rank-based attacks have reduced the security of Rainbow, which is one of the multi-layer UOV signatures, below the NIST security requirements by speeding up iterative kernel-finding operations using classical mathematics techniques. If quantum algorithms are applied to perform these iterative operations, the rank-based attacks may be more threatening to multi-layer UOV, including Rainbow. In this paper, we propose a quantum rectangular MinRank attack called the Q-rMinRank attack, the first quantum approach to key recovery attacks on multi-layer UOV signatures. Our attack is a general model applicable to multi-layer UOV signature schemes, and in this paper, we provide examples of its application to Rainbow and the Korean TTA standard, HiMQ. We design two quantum oracle circuits to find the kernel in consideration of the depth-width trade-off of quantum circuits. One is to reduce the width of the quantum circuits using qubits as a minimum, and the other is to reduce the depth using parallelization instead of using a lot of qubits. By designing quantum circuits to find kernels with fewer quantum resources and complexity by adding mathematical techniques, we achieve quadratic speedup for the MinRank attack to recover the private keys of multi-layer UOV signatures. We also estimate quantum resources for the designed quantum circuits and analyze quantum complexity based on them. The width-optimized circuit recovers the private keys of Rainbow parameter set V with only 1089 logical qubits. The depth-optimized circuit recovers the private keys of Rainbow parameter set V with a quantum complexity of 2 174 , which is lower than the complexity of 2 221 recovering the secret key of AES-192, which provides the same security level as parameter set III. This paper explores the generalization ability of defogging algorithms on RICE (A Remote Sensing Image Dataset for Cloud Removal) remotely sensed images. RICE is a dataset of remotely sensed images used for removing clouds, allowing the researcher to better evaluate the performance of defogging algorithms for cloud removal from remotely sensed images. In this paper, four classical defogging algorithms, including AOD-Net, FFA-Net, dark channel prior, and DehazeFormer, are selected and applied to the task of de-cloud in RICE remote sensing images. The performance of these algorithms on the RICE dataset is analyzed by comparing the experimental results, and their differences, advantages, and disadvantages in dealing with de-clouded remote sensing images are explored. The experimental results show that the four defogging algorithms are capable of performing well on uniform thin cloud images, but there is a color distortion and the performance is weak when it comes to inhomogeneous clouds as well as thick clouds. So, the generalization ability of the algorithms is weak when the defogging algorithms are applied to the problem of cloud removal. Finally, this paper proposes improvement ideas for the de-cloud problem of RICE remote sensing images and looks forward to possible future research directions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the addition of Bluetooth AOA/AOD direction-finding capabilities in the Bluetooth 5.1 protocol and the introduction of antenna array technology into the Bluetooth platform to further enhance positioning accuracy, Bluetooth has gradually become a research hotspot in the field of indoor positioning due to its standard protocol specifications, rich application ecosystem, and outstanding advantages such as low power consumption and low cost compared to other indoor positioning technologies. However, current indoor positioning based on Bluetooth AOA/AOD suffers from overly simplistic core algorithm implementations. When facing different application scenarios, the standalone AOA or AOD algorithms exhibit weak applicability, and they also encounter challenges such as poor positioning accuracy, insufficient real-time performance, and significant effects of multipath propagation. These existing problems and deficiencies render Bluetooth lacking an efficient implementation solution for indoor positioning. Therefore, this paper proposes a study on Bluetooth AOA and AOD indoor positioning algorithms. Through an analysis of the principles of Bluetooth's newly added direction-finding functionality and combined with research on array signal DOA estimation algorithms, the paper ultimately integrates the least squares algorithm to optimize positioning errors in terms of accuracy and incorporates an anti-multipath interference algorithm to address the impacts of multipath effects in different scenarios. Experimental testing demonstrates that the indoor positioning algorithms applicable to Bluetooth AOA and AOD can effectively mitigate accuracy errors and overcome multipath effects, exhibiting strong applicability and significant improvements in real-time performance. In recent years, the incidence of cardiac arrhythmias has been on the rise because of changes in lifestyle and the aging population. Electrocardiograms (ECGs) are widely used for the automated diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmias. However, existing models possess poor noise robustness and complex structures, limiting their effectiveness. To solve these problems, this paper proposes an arrhythmia recognition system with excellent anti-noise performance: a convolutionally optimized broad learning system (COBLS). In the proposed COBLS method, the signal is convolved with blind source separation using a signal analysis method based on high-order-statistic independent component analysis (ICA). The constructed feature matrix is further feature-extracted and dimensionally reduced using principal component analysis (PCA), which reveals the essence of the signal. The linear feature correlation between the data can be effectively reduced, and redundant attributes can be eliminated to obtain a low-dimensional feature matrix that retains the essential features of the classification model. Then, arrhythmia recognition is realized by combining this matrix with the broad learning system (BLS). Subsequently, the model was evaluated using the MIT-BIH arrhythmia database and the MIT-BIH noise stress test database. The outcomes of the experiments demonstrate exceptional performance, with impressive achievements in terms of the overall accuracy, overall precision, overall sensitivity, and overall F1-score. Specifically, the results indicate outstanding performance, with figures reaching 99.11% for the overall accuracy, 96.95% for the overall precision, 89.71% for the overall sensitivity, and 93.01% for the overall F1-score across all four classification experiments. The formation of unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) stands as a paramount concern in USV formation control research. In addressing this, this paper introduces a novel formation strategy for USVs, which accounts for their arbitrary initial positions and headings. Firstly, given the random distribution of the USVs' initial positions, to enhance the efficiency of formation assembly, the point set of the USVs is matched with basic formations using the Hausdorff distance to establish the formation. Building upon this foundation and acknowledging the potential hindrance posed by the arbitrary initial headings of the USVs, which could hinder their ability to reach the designated formation target points, a cost matrix is constructed based on the designed distance–azimuth evaluation function. Subsequently, the Hungarian algorithm is utilized to efficiently assign formation target points for the USVs. To address the issue of insufficient extraction of target features and the resulting impact on detection performance in long-range infrared aircraft target detection caused by small imaging area and weak radiation intensity starting from the idea of perceiving target context to enhance the features extracted by convolutional neural network, this paper proposes a detecting algorithm based on AWFGLC (adaptive weighted fusion of global–local context). Based on the mechanism of AWFGLC, the input feature map is randomly reorganized and partitioned along the channel dimension, resulting in two feature maps. One feature map is utilized by self-attention for global context modeling, establishing the correlation between target features and background features to highlight the salient features of the target, thereby enabling the detecting algorithm to better perceive the global features of the target. The other feature map is subjected to window partitioning, with max pooling and average pooling performed within each window to highlight the local features of the target. Subsequently, self-attention is applied to the pooled feature map for local context modeling, establishing the correlation between the target and its surrounding neighborhood, further enhancing the weaker parts of the target features, and enabling the detecting algorithm to better perceive the local features of the target. Based on the characteristics of the target, an adaptive weighted fusion strategy with learnable parameters is employed to aggregate the global context and local context feature maps. This results in a feature map containing more complete target information, enhancing the ability of the detection algorithm to distinguish between target and background. Finally, this paper integrates the mechanism of AWFGLC into YOLOv7 for the detection of infrared aircraft targets. The experiments indicate that the proposed algorithm achieves mAP50 scores of 97.8% and 88.7% on self-made and publicly available infrared aircraft datasets, respectively. Moreover, the mAP50:95 scores reach 65.7% and 61.2%, respectively. In recent times, video inpainting techniques have intended to fill the missing areas or gaps in a video by utilizing known pixels. The variety in brightness or difference of the patches causes the state-of-the-art video inpainting techniques to exhibit high computation complexity and create seams in the target areas. To resolve these issues, this paper introduces a novel video inpainting technique that employs the Morphological Haar Wavelet Transform combined with the Krill Herd based Criminisi algorithm (MHWT-KHCA) to address the challenges of high computational demand and visible seam artifacts in current inpainting practices. The proposed MHWT-KHCA algorithm strategically reduces computation times and enhances the seamlessness of the inpainting process in videos. Through a series of experiments, the technique is validated against standard metrics such as peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and structural similarity index (SSIM), where it demonstrates superior performance compared to existing methods. Additionally, the paper outlines potential real-world applications ranging from video restoration to real-time surveillance enhancement, highlighting the technique's versatility and effectiveness. This paper proposes a solution for the cooperative obstacle avoidance path planning problem in dual manipulator arms using an improved Rapidly Exploring Random Tree (RRT) algorithm. The dual manipulator arms are categorized into a main arm and a secondary arm. Initially, the obstacle avoidance path for the master arm is planned in the presence of static obstacles. Subsequently, the poses of the master arm during its movement are treated as dynamic obstacles for planning the obstacle avoidance path for the slave arm. A cost function incorporating a fast convergence policy is introduced. Additionally, adaptive weights between distance cost and variation cost are innovatively integrated into the cost function, along with increased weights for each joint, enhancing the algorithm's effectiveness and feasibility in practical scenarios. The smoothness of the planned paths is improved through the introduction of interpolation functions. The improved algorithm is numerically modeled and simulated in MATLAB. The paper addresses the issue of classification machine learning algorithm performance based on a novel probabilistic confusion matrix concept. The paper develops a theoretical framework which associates the proposed confusion matrix and the resulting performance metrics with the regular confusion matrix. The theoretical results are verified based on a wide variety of real-world classification problems and state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms. Based on the properties of the probabilistic confusion matrix, the paper then highlights the benefits of using the proposed concept both during the training phase and the application phase of a classification machine learning algorithm. In this paper, we developed a new type iterative scheme to approximate a common solution of split monotone variational inclusion, variational inequality and fixed point problems for an infinite family of nonexpansive mappings in the framework of Hilbert spaces. Further, we proved that the sequence generated by the proposed iterative method converges strongly to a common solution of split monotone variational inclusion, variational inequality and fixed point problems. Furthermore, we give some consequences of the main result. Finally, we discuss a numerical example to demonstrate the applicability of the iterative algorithm. Accurate prediction of air quality is crucial for assessing the state of the atmospheric environment, especially considering the nonlinearity, volatility, and abrupt changes in air quality data. This paper introduces an air quality index (AQI) prediction model based on the Dung Beetle Algorithm (DBO) aimed at overcoming limitations in traditional prediction models, such as inadequate access to data features, challenges in parameter setting, and accuracy constraints. The proposed model optimizes the parameters of Variational Mode Decomposition (VMD) and integrates the Informer adaptive sequential prediction model with the Convolutional Neural Network-Long Short Term Memory (CNN-LSTM). Initially, the correlation coefficient method is utilized to identify key impact features from multivariate weather and meteorological data. Subsequently, penalty factors and the number of variational modes in the VMD are optimized using DBO. The optimized parameters are utilized to develop a variationally constrained model to decompose the air quality sequence. The data are categorized based on approximate entropy, and high-frequency data are fed into the Informer model, while low-frequency data are fed into the CNN-LSTM model. The predicted values of the subsystems are then combined and reconstructed to obtain the AQI prediction results. Evaluation using actual monitoring data from Beijing demonstrates that the proposed coupling prediction model of the air quality index in this paper is superior to other parameter optimization models. The Mean Absolute Error (MAE) decreases by 13.59%, the Root-Mean-Square Error (RMSE) decreases by 7.04%, and the R-square (R2) increases by 1.39%. This model surpasses 11 other models in terms of lower error rates and enhances prediction accuracy. Compared with the mainstream swarm intelligence optimization algorithm, DBO, as an optimization algorithm, demonstrates higher computational efficiency and is closer to the actual value. Multipath wireless access aims to seamlessly aggregate multiple access networks to increase data rates and decrease latency. It is currently being standardized through the ATSSS architectural framework as part of the fifth-generation (5G) cellular networks. However, facilitating efficient multi-access communication in next-generation wireless networks poses several challenges due to the complex interplay between congestion control (CC) and packet scheduling. Given that enhanced ATSSS steering functions for traffic splitting advocate the utilization of multi-access tunnels using congestion-controlled multipath network protocols between user equipment and a proxy, addressing the issue of nested CC becomes imperative. In this paper, we evaluate the impact of such nested congestion control loops on throughput over multi-access tunnels using the recently introduced Multipath DCCP (MP-DCCP) tunneling framework. We evaluate different combinations of endpoint and tunnel CC algorithms, including BBR, BBRv2, CUBIC, and NewReno. Using the Cheapest Path First scheduler, we quantify and analyze the impact of the following on the performance of tunnel-based multipath: (1) the location of the multi-access proxy relative to the user; (2) the bottleneck buffer size, and (3) the choice of the congestion control algorithms. A lightweight forest fire detection model based on YOLOv8 is proposed in this paper in response to the problems existing in traditional sensors for forest fire detection. The performance of traditional sensors is easily constrained by hardware computing power, and their adaptability in different environments needs improvement. To balance the accuracy and speed of fire detection, the GhostNetV2 lightweight network is adopted to replace the backbone network for feature extraction of YOLOv8. The Ghost module is utilized to replace traditional convolution operations, conducting feature extraction independently in different dimensional channels, significantly reducing the complexity of the model while maintaining excellent performance. Additionally, an improved CPDCA channel priority attention mechanism is proposed, which extracts spatial features through dilated convolution, thereby reducing computational overhead and enabling the model to focus more on fire targets, achieving more accurate detection. In response to the problem of small targets in fire detection, the Inner IoU loss function is introduced. By adjusting the size of the auxiliary bounding boxes, this function effectively enhances the convergence effect of small target detection, further reducing missed detections, and improving overall detection accuracy. Experimental results indicate that, compared with traditional methods, the algorithm proposed in this paper significantly improves the average precision and FPS of fire detection while maintaining a smaller model size. Through experimental analysis, compared with YOLOv3-tiny, the average precision increased by 5.9% and the frame rate reached 285.3 FPS when the model size was only 4.9 M; compared with Shufflenet, the average precision increased by 2.9%, and the inference speed tripled. Additionally, the algorithm effectively addresses false positives, such as cloud and reflective light, further enhancing the detection of small targets and reducing missed detections. Real‐time monitoring of the coal caving process in fully mechanized mining is crucial for achieving intelligent and efficient top‐coal caving. While the coal gangue identification method, employing vision and deep learning, has advanced in the realm of intelligent monitoring, it exhibits a dependency on high‐performance hardware. This reliance poses challenges for deploying identification equipment on mobile terminals, hindering the widespread application of this method. To address the issues above, the paper presents a lightweight algorithm, utilizing You Only Look Once version 5s (YOLOv5s), utilizing YOLOv5s for the real‐time perception of the top‐coal caving state in fully mechanized caving mining. We replace the backbone network of YOLOv5s with the ShuffleNetv2 structure that is more suitable for lightweight deployment, and add the Simple Attention Mechanism attention mechanism to the network structure to enhance the model's receptive field and feature expression ability, and reduce the impact of falling debris on the detection results. A dynamic experimental platform for top‐coal caving in fully mechanized caving mining for thick coal seams is set up, and preprocessing operations such as brightness, sharpening, and denoising are performed on the image data sets collected by high‐speed industrial cameras. Research results show that compared with the traditional YOLOv5s, the improved model's P, mAP, F1 score, and other indicators have increased by 3.4%, 2.1%, and 1.1%, respectively, the model size is 70% of the original, and the detection frames per second value has increased by 48.1%. The lightweight algorithm stabilizes the accuracy of coal gangue identification dramatically in real time. The widely used discrete-element particle flow software PFC's (PFC 7.0 and previous versions) algorithm for calculating porosity is not sufficiently accurate. Because of this, when the particles are densely packed, the solution to the equation produces an algorithm exception for odd calculations of porosity, which results in the inability to calculate the results. This paper, based on a Darcy seepage model of fluid flow through a granular bed, analyzed the shortcomings of the two porosity calculation methods of PFC and the function analysis method. Combining this analysis with the theory of computer graphics, a new and efficient porosity calculation algorithm was proposed. The result showed that the new proposed porosity calculation algorithm calculated a more accurate and reasonable porosity field and made the iterative solution of the CFD equation more stable. The problem of finding optimal block designs can be formulated as a combinatorial optimization, but its resolution is still a formidable challenge. This paper presents a general and user-friendly algorithm, namely Modified Particle Swarm Optimization (MPSO), to construct optimal or near-optimal block designs. It can be used for several classes of block designs such as binary, non-binary and test-control block designs with correlated or uncorrelated observations. In order to evaluate the algorithm, we compare our results with the optimal designs presented in some published papers. The football team training algorithm (FTTA) is a new metaheuristic algorithm that was proposed in 2024. The FTTA has better performance but faces challenges such as poor convergence accuracy and ease of falling into local optimality due to limitations such as referring too much to the optimal individual for updating and insufficient perturbation of the optimal agent. To address these concerns, this paper presents an improved football team training algorithm called IFTTA. To enhance the exploration ability in the collective training phase, this paper proposes the fitness distance-balanced collective training strategy. This enables the players to train more rationally in the collective training phase and balances the exploration and exploitation capabilities of the algorithm. To further perturb the optimal agent in FTTA, a non-monopoly extra training strategy is designed to enhance the ability to get rid of the local optimum. In addition, a population restart strategy is then designed to boost the convergence accuracy and population diversity of the algorithm. In this paper, we validate the performance of IFTTA and FTTA as well as six comparison algorithms in CEC2017 test suites. The experimental results show that IFTTA has strong optimization performance. It is difficult to visually detect internal defects in a large transformer with a metal closure. For convenient internal inspection, a micro-robot was adopted, and an inspection method based on an image-enhancement algorithm and an improved deep-learning network was proposed in this paper. Considering the dim environment inside the transformer and the problems of irregular imaging distance and fluctuating supplementary light conditions during image acquisition with the internal-inspection robot, an improved MSRCR algorithm for image enhancement was proposed. It could analyze the local contrast of the image and enhance the details on multiple scales. At the same time, a white-balance algorithm was introduced to enhance the contrast and brightness and solve the problems of overexposure and color distortion. To improve the target recognition performance of complex carbon-trace defects, the SimAM mechanism was incorporated into the Backbone network of the YOLOv8 model to enhance the extraction of carbon-trace features. Meanwhile, the DyHead dynamic detection Head framework was constructed at the output of the YOLOv8 model to improve the perception of local carbon traces with different sizes. To improve the defect target recognition speed of the transformer-inspection robot, a pruning operation was carried out on the YOLOv8 model to remove redundant parameters, realize model lightness, and improve detection efficiency. To verify the effectiveness of the improved algorithm, the detection model was trained and validated with the carbon-trace dataset. The results showed that the MSH-YOLOv8 algorithm achieved an accuracy of 91.80%, which was 3.4 percentage points higher compared to the original YOLOv8 algorithm, and had a significant advantage over other mainstream target-detection algorithms. Meanwhile, the FPS of the proposed algorithm was up to 99.2, indicating that the model computation and model complexity were successfully reduced, which meets the requirements for engineering applications of the transformer internal-inspection robot. INTRODUCTION: The article discusses the key steps in digital visual design reengineering, with a special emphasis on the importance of information decoding and feature extraction for flat cultural heritage. These processes not only minimize damage to the aesthetic heritage itself but also feature high quality, efficiency, and recyclability. OBJECTIVES: The aim of the article is to explore the issues of gene extraction methods in digital visual design reengineering, proposing a visual gene extraction method through an improved K-means clustering algorithm. METHODS: A visual gene extraction method based on an improved K-means clustering algorithm is proposed. Initially analyzing the digital visual design reengineering process, combined with a color extraction method using the improved JSO algorithm-based K-means clustering algorithm, a gene extraction and clustering method for digital visual design reengineering is proposed and validated through experiments. .ASA-RESULT: The results show that the proposed method improves the accuracy, robustness, and real-time performance of clustering. Through comparative analysis with Dunhuang murals, the effectiveness of the color extraction method based on the K-means-JSO algorithm in the application of digital visual design reengineering is verified. The method based on the K-means-GWO algorithm performs best in terms of average clustering time and standard deviation. The optimization curve of color extraction based on the K-means-JSO algorithm converges faster and with better accuracy compared to the K-means-ABC, K-means-GWO, K-means-DE, K-means-CMAES, and K-means-WWCD algorithms. CONCLUSION: The color extraction method of the K-means clustering algorithm improved by the JSO algorithm proposed in this paper solves the problems of insufficient standardization in feature selection, lack of generalization ability, and inefficiency in visual gene extraction methods. Establishing a national comprehensive PNT (Positioning, Navigation, and Timing) system has become a consensus among major countries worldwide. As a crucial component in completing the entire PNT system, the 5G NR (new radio) time service signal plays a vital role. This paper proposes a 5G NR time service signal that uses a spread spectrum system, shares the 5G signal frequency band, but does not occupy the bandwidth of the 5G communication signal. This timing service signal has relatively low power, making it appear "submerged" within the power of the 5G communication signal. The spread spectrum code for this timing signal employs the chaotic orthogonal composite sequence proposed in this paper. Compared to traditional spread spectrum sequences, this sequence offers better security than m-sequences, improved autocorrelation than Walsh sequences, and an effective suppression of the short-period characteristics exhibited when the Skew Tent-Map chaotic sequence takes special values. This paper simulates the capture of the 5G NR time service signal in an environment with a signal-to-noise ratio of 10 dB using an FFT-based parallel code phase search algorithm, successfully capturing the 5G NR time service signal and verifying the feasibility of the proposed chaotic orthogonal composite sequence as a spread spectrum code. The rapid development of wireless network technology has led to the coexistence of various heterogeneous wireless networks (HWNs). To ensure that users enjoy normal and diversified services, research on vertical switching technology has become an inevitable trend. However, most current vertical switching algorithms only consider static situations or single services, which are not suitable for power grid scenarios. This paper studies the vertical switching problem of wireless heterogeneous networks for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) performing inspection tasks in power grid scenarios. In this model, a UAV for power grid inspection needs to plan its flight trajectory, avoid obstacles, and find the optimal trajectory to reach each inspection point. Throughout the UAV inspection process, we must ensure the quality of communication services for the UAV. The UAV dynamically selects different networks for access at different locations, presenting a dynamic network selection and vertical switching problem. This paper proposes a method that combines trajectory planning and network selection, which first utilizes the A-star algorithm to obtain suitable trajectories, and then evaluates and judges networks based on the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) to determine the most appropriate network. It is worth noting that this paper considers three service requirements and seven network attributes under three types of heterogeneous wireless networks. Numerical results show that this method can better meet the requirements of UAV inspection tasks and reduce the number of switches, thus addressing the issue of terminal vertical switches in power grid scenarios. This paper proposes a fast satellite screening algorithm aimed at the problem of balancing between positioning accuracy and system computing efficiency in a multi-constellation system environment under the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). The algorithm constructs an observation model based on a positioning error for the larger number of satellites under a multi-constellation. The space region is divided based on elevation and azimuth angles to implement the screening algorithm for the solution of the point to be determined. An analysis of the experimental data shows that the average GDOP value of this scheme is 1.835, and the position error of the point to be determined is controlled within 2.5 m when the cut-off altitude angle is 5° and the screening ratio is more than 70%. This paper proposes a point-by-point weighted fusion algorithm based on an improved random sample consensus (RANSAC) and inverse distance weighting to address the issue of low-resolution point cloud data obtained from light detection and ranging (LiDAR) sensors and single technologies. By fusing low-resolution point clouds with higher-resolution point clouds at the data level, the algorithm generates high-resolution point clouds, achieving the super-resolution reconstruction of lidar point clouds. This method effectively reduces noise in the higher-resolution point clouds while preserving the structure of the low-resolution point clouds, ensuring that the semantic information of the generated high-resolution point clouds remains consistent with that of the low-resolution point clouds. Specifically, the algorithm constructs a K-d tree using the low-resolution point cloud to perform a nearest neighbor search, establishing the correspondence between the low-resolution and higher-resolution point clouds. Next, the improved RANSAC algorithm is employed for point cloud alignment, and inverse distance weighting is used for point-by-point weighted fusion, ultimately yielding the high-resolution point cloud. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed point cloud super-resolution reconstruction method outperforms other methods across various metrics. Aiming at the limitations of Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) algorithms in unmanned ground vehicle path planning, such as low sampling rate, insufficient exploration, and unstable training, this paper proposes an improved algorithm called Dual Priority Experience and Ornstein–Uhlenbeck Soft Actor-Critic (DPEOU-SAC) based on Ornstein–Uhlenbeck (OU noise) and double-factor prioritized sampling experience replay (DPE) with the introduction of expert experience, which is used to help the agent achieve faster and better path planning and obstacle avoidance. Firstly, OU noise enhances the agent's action selection quality through temporal correlation, thereby improving the agent's detection performance in complex unknown environments. Meanwhile, the experience replay is based on double-factor preferential sampling, which has better sample continuity and sample utilization. Then, the introduced expert experience can help the agent to find the optimal path with faster training speed and avoid falling into a local optimum, thus achieving stable training. Finally, the proposed DPEOU-SAC algorithm is tested against other deep reinforcement learning algorithms in four different simulation environments. The experimental results show that the convergence speed of DPEOU-SAC is 88.99% higher than the traditional SAC algorithm, and the shortest path length of DPEOU-SAC is 27.24, which is shorter than that of SAC. The advancement of information technology has led to the widespread application of remote measurement systems, where information in the form of images or videos, serving as measurement results, is transmitted over networks. However, this transmission is highly susceptible to attacks, tampering, and disputes, posing significant risks to the trustworthy transmission of measurement results from instruments and devices. In recent years, many encryption algorithms proposed for images have focused on encrypting the entire image, resulting in resource waste. Additionally, most encryption algorithms are designed only for single-object-type images. Addressing these issues, this paper proposes a multi-object region encryption algorithm based on an adaptive mechanism. Firstly, an adaptive mechanism is employed to determine the strategy for adjusting the sampling rate of encryption objects, achieved through an encryption resource allocation algorithm. Secondly, an improved polygon segmentation algorithm is utilized to separate single-object regions from multi-object images, dynamically adjusting the sequence of encryption objects based on the adaptive mechanism. Finally, encryption is achieved using a chaos fusion XOR encryption algorithm. Experimental validation using instrument images demonstrates that the proposed algorithm offers high efficiency and security advantages compared to other mainstream image encryption algorithms.
