The founding conditions of the public (de)limits its scope of action and interpellation. Over time, numerous groups have problematized this framework and have tried to reformulate their insertion into it through collective actions. To explore its inconsistencies, alternatives and vanishing points, the gender vector is taken. After describing the public regime, the research moves to the public space, which, as a territorialized extension of the public realm, presents in its classic conception the same limitations as the public. In an attempt to go beyond that institutional public space, groups and social movements have created their own spaces, as loudspeakers and places to make themselves visible. The article focuses on how Social Centers, as spatial and infrastructural experiments, reinvent the public encounter by producing a public space. To do this, it delves into the dissidence practiced by the feminist project La Eskalera Karakola and the challenge they launch against the current public space and the insertion of women in that public space and, therefore, in the public realm. Using an adaptation of the traditional Gini index in spatial autocorrelation models and the analysis of thematic cartography, this article aims to show that there is uncertainty about the spatial patterns found in the outsourcing process of Latin American cities, understanding that certain economic activities in this sector break with the typical center-periphery layouts and take advantage of territorial capacities to establish autonomous production environments. When analyzing different Advanced Producer Services sectors in the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara, in Mexico, it was seen that there is a reduced presence of medium to largesized businesses, which leads to the limited construction of production agglomerations outside the main city center. The purpose of this article is to narrate the experience of the residents of barrio Escalante, located in district El Carmen in the capital San José of Costa Rica. This settlement dates from the first half of the 20th century and in the last decade it goes through a series of urban transformations mainly: the changes in land use; the profile of the city and the vocation to commercial and tourist activities. This article shows the results of a survey applied to residents during the last semester of 2018 as well as in-depth interviews. As important results are: the difficulties to reside in the neighborhood; the lack of citizen participation and political decisions about the city without consulting those who inhabit it. This article studies, with a geographical focus, the degree of correspondence between the supply of technical programs in high school and the structure of local production--at the sector and subsector levels--in two large Mexican cities. The results show the gray areas of the relationship in both cities. Their economies are different, with unique specializations and subsectors, yet both believe that an important number of programs are related to production (more so in León than in Tijuana). El próximo mes de junio la Agencia de Protección de la Legalidad Urbanística de la Xunta de Galicia celebra la quinta edición de su Congreso APLU sobre disciplina urbanística: estado del urbanismo y retos para el futuro. El congreso versará sobre cuatro grandes áreas temáticas: un nuevo modelo urbano, el urbanismo y las políticas públicas, la intervención administrativa y las perspectivas para el futuro. The practices of street-level bureaucracy (SLB) constitute a central issue to efforts made to understand the implementation of public policies. Lipsky's seminal work established the theoretical bases for a methodical analysis of this type of practice. Nevertheless, the appropriation of Lipsky, at least in the Latin American context, is limited to partial references and lacks a rigorous empirical examination of the theory. Our analysis of the Structural Programme for Risk Areas, based on both primary data (ethnographic participation, interviews, focus groups) and secondary data (official texts), identified practices and contexts not foreseen by the theory. Contrary to the theoretical postulates, it was found that the behavioural hypotheses of rationalisation of service and cognitive simplification are not good predictors of the relationships of street-level bureaucrats (SLBs) with their clients. Introduction: bearing in mind the influence of the environment on the individuals and their choices and behaviours in general and particularly with respect to food, it might be interesting to explore whether eating habits are better or healthier in rural areas than in urban ones.Objective: to analyse the perception of the level in which eating habits could be considered better or worse, more or less healthy, in rural and urban areas.Method: 281 students (18.37 ± 6.28 years) volunteered participated in the study completing an ad hoc questionnaire designed to measure the characteristics attributed by the participants to the rural and urban eating habits.Results: 49.50% of the participants considered that food is better in rural areas, 8.50% in urban contexts and 42% equally in both rural and urban areas; 80.42% responded that food is healthier in rural areas and 19.57% in urban areas. In addition, 85.10% of the participants coming from rural families considered that food is healthier in the country and the same applies to 75.80% coming from urban families.Discussion and Conclusions: the perception about what is healthy is not uniform. From a general point of view it seems that eating better is not the same than eating healthier. The idea of eating better not always is synonymous of eating healthy from a medical-nutritional point of view. The current planetary socioecological crisis and the growing urbanization of human life are interdependent phenomena that impel education to rethink its objectives and processes. The notion of "sustainability" provides a broad framework of construction for activities in teaching, research, and outreach programs. Among the proposals aimed at promoting sustainability, agroecology stands out as a set of integrating practices and theories capable of transforming the productive, sociopolitical, economic, and cultural relations of the food system. Our objective in this article is to present the contributions of urban agroecology and to analyze its connection with education. Following this purpose, we share the experience of Huerto uv, an agroecological education project developed by students and researchers at Universidad Veracruzana, in association with inhabitants of the city of Xalapa, Veracruz. Behind the apparent oblivion of space in the classical formulation of citizenship, there is an implicit narrative that defines the main places and scenarios where it develops historically, and in which the practices of rights and the assumption of civic duties take place. Three spaces become the privileged locus for the learning and practising of citizenship: the city, the school and the family home. The article analyzes how they are stated and described within this narrative. On the other hand, it takes into account the way in which the perception of the transformation of these same spaces has become relevant in the different citizenship crisis diagnoses that socio-political analysis has put forward in the last few years. This study, through the use of qualitative techniques and a survey, documents certain aspects that configure the construction of the identity of young people enrolled in secondary school in a marginalized region of Estado de México. The research recognizes the contributions of the local and regional culture in the identity-related processes of rural and urban adolescents, as well as the specific cultural expressions and crises of their stage of life. The article emphasizes the importance of students' peer relationships in their transition from family to society, and explains the professional and employment projects young people create, based on their socioeconomic conditions and scholastic trajectory.
