Biomacromolecular networks, crucial components of biological systems, are of great importance in biological and nanomedical science, in which the interfaces between nanoparticle and macromolecular networks are intriguing and drawing great attention. Herein, this review seeks to present the state‐of‐art progress and perspective of the dynamic behaviors, confinement and entropy at the nanoparticle‐biomacromolecular network interfaces. The basic biomacromolecular networks in living systems, recent research on networks with dynamic bonds and various diffusion behaviors of nanoparticles within biomacromolecular networks are summarized. In particular, entropic effects in the confined environments of biological networks are discussed, along with how they impact the mechanical properties and dynamical behaviors. The interesting research and findings included in this review might offer the scientific community a better understanding of how this field has developed thus far, and are anticipated to trigger more systematic and fundamental research to elucidate the underlying physics and broaden the potential applications of macromolecular networks, biological and artificial. Core–shell perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) have emerged as a promising class of materials for optoelectronic applications due to their unique properties and stability. Although much research has been conducted on the shell growth mechanism and properties of the core–shell NCs, little is known about the role of shell thickness in determining their optical properties. Herein, a heteroepitaxial method is employed to prepare a series of core–shell FAPbBr3/CsPbBr3 NCs with different shell thicknesses. Through temperature‐dependent photoluminescence measurement, it is found that the electronic structure of core–shell FAPbBr3/CsPbBr3 NCs evolves from quasi‐type‐II to type‐I with the increase in shell thickness. This abnormal transition can be attributed to the thickened gradient alloy layer FA1‐xCsxPbBr3, which effectively relieves the lattice mismatch and releases strain in the NCs, resulting in variations in the bandgap between the core and the shell. Furthermore, the biexciton Auger lifetimes in these samples exhibit a non‐monotonic dependence on shell thickness, indicating the electronic structure transition. These results provide valuable insights into the relationship between shell thickness, electronic structure, and optical properties in core–shell perovskite NCs, which may offer guidance for the design of high‐performance optoelectronic devices. Perovskite nanocrystals for light‐emitting diodes are often synthesized by uncontrollable metathesis reactions, suffering from low product yield, nonuniform growth, and poor stability. Herein, by controlling the nucleation kinetics with high dissociation constant (Ka or Kb) acids or bases, homogenous one‐route nucleation of perovskite nanocrystals is achieved as the cluster intermediates are eliminated. The stable, shape uniform, and narrow size distribution green nanocrystals are synthesized. The perovskite nanocrystal film exhibites excellent stability in 80% humidity air with only a 10% photoluminescence intensity drop after 16 h. Efficient and stable electroluminescence is demonstrated with an FWHM of 16 nm at 517 nm. The green devices shows a peak EQE of 24.13% with a lifetime T50 of 54 min at 10 000 cd m−2. Due to COVID-19, online education has become an important tool for teachers to teach students. Also, teachers depend on a multimedia teaching system (platform) to finish online education. However, interacted images from a multimedia teaching system may suffer from noise. To address this issue, we propose a lightweight image denoising network (LIDNet) for multimedia teaching systems. A parallel network can be used to mine complementary information. To achieve an adaptive CNN, an omni-dimensional dynamic convolution fused into an upper network can automatically adjust parameters to achieve a robust CNN, according to different input noisy images. That also enlarges the difference in network architecture, which can improve the denoising effect. To refine obtained structural information, a serial network is set behind a parallel network. To extract more salient information, an adaptively parametric rectifier linear unit composed of an attention mechanism and a ReLU is used into LIDNet. Traffic network design problems (NDPs) play an important role in urban planning. Since there exist uncertainties in the real urban traffic network, neglecting the uncertainty factors may lead to unreasonable decisions. This paper considers the transportation network signal design problem under stochastic origin-destination (OD) demand. In general, solving this stochastic problem requires a large amount of computational budget to calculate the equilibrium flow corresponding to a certain demand distribution, which limits its real applications. To reduce the computational time in calculating the equilibrium flow under stochastic demand, this paper proposes a metamodel-based optimization method. First, a combined metamodel that integrates a physical modeling part and a model bias generic part is developed. The metamodel is used to approximate the time-consuming average equilibrium flow solution process, hence to improve the computational efficiency. To further improve the convergence and the solution optimality performance of the metamodel-based optimization, the gradient information of traffic flow with respect to the signal plan is incorporated in the optimization model. A gradient-based metamodel algorithm is then proposed. In the numerical example, a six-node test network is used to examine the proposed metamodel-based optimization method. The proposed combined metamodel is compared with the benchmark method to investigate the importance of incorporating a model bias generic part and the traffic flow gradient information in the combined metamodel. Although there is a reduction in solution optimality since the metamodel is an approximation of the original model, the metamodel methods greatly improve the computational efficiency (the computational time is reduced by 4.84 to 13.47 times in the cases of different initial points). By incorporating the model bias, the combined metamodel can better approximate the original optimal solution. Moreover, incorporating the gradient information of the traffic flow in the optimization search algorithm can further improve the solution performance. Numerical results show that the gradient-based metamodel method can effectively improve the computation efficiency while slightly reducing the solution optimality (with an increase of 0.09% in the expected total travel cost). In Natural Language Processing (NLP), deep-learning neural networks have superior performance but pose transparency and explainability barriers, due to their black box nature, and, thus, there is lack of trustworthiness. On the other hand, classical machine learning techniques are intuitive and easy to understand but often cannot perform satisfactorily. Fortunately, many research studies have recently indicated that the newly introduced model, Tsetlin Machine (TM), has reliable performance and, at the same time, enjoys human-level interpretability by nature, which is a promising approach to trade off effectiveness and interpretability. However, nearly all of the related works so far have concentrated on the English language, while research on other languages is relatively scarce. So, we propose a novel method, based on the TM model, in which the learning process is transparent and easily-understandable for Chinese NLP tasks. Our model can learn semantic information in the Chinese language by clauses. For evaluation, we conducted experiments in two domains, namely sentiment analysis and spam review detection. The experimental results showed thatm for both domains, our method could provide higher accuracy and a higher F1 score than complex, but non-transparent, deep-learning models, such as BERT and ERINE. Compressed sensing (CS) is a promising tool for reducing sampling costs. Current deep neural network (NN)-based CS approaches face the challenges of collecting labeled measurement-ground truth (GT) data and generalizing to real applications. This paper proposes a novel Self-supervised sCalable deep CS method, comprising a deep Learning scheme called SCL and a family of Networks named SCNet, which does not require GT and can handle arbitrary sampling ratios and matrices once trained on a partial measurement set. Our SCL contains a dual-domain loss and a four-stage recovery strategy. The former encourages a cross-consistency on two measurement parts and a sampling-reconstruction cycle-consistency regarding arbitrary ratios and matrices to maximize data utilization. The latter can progressively leverage the common signal prior in external measurements and internal characteristics of test samples and learned NNs to improve accuracy. SCNet combines both the explicit guidance from optimization algorithms and the implicit regularization from advanced NN blocks to learn a collaborative signal representation. Our theoretical analyses and experiments on simulated and real captured data, covering 1-/2-/3-D natural and scientific signals, demonstrate the effectiveness, superior performance, flexibility, and generalization ability of our method over existing self-supervised methods and its significant potential in competing against many state-of-the-art supervised methods. Controlled ion release and mineralization of bioactive glasses are essential to their applications in bone regeneration. Tuning the chemical composition and surface structure of glasses are the primary means of achieving this goal. However, most bioactive glasses exhibit a non-linear ion release behavior. Therefore, modifying the immersion environment of glasses through external stimuli becomes an approach. In this study, the ion release and mineralization properties of a borosilicate bioactive glass were investigated in the Tris buffer and K2HPO4 solutions with different pH. The glass had a faster ion release rate at a lower pH, but the overly acidic environment was detrimental to hydroxyapatite production. Using a direct current (DC) electric field as an external stimulus, the pH of the immersion solution could be modulated within a narrow range, thereby modulating ion release from the glass. As a result, significant increases in ion release were observed after three days, and the development of porous mineralization products on the glass surface after six days. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of the DC electric field in modulating the ion release of the bioactive glass in vitro and provides a potential way to regulate the degradation of the glass in vivo. Purpose: Partial nephrectomy (PN) is the main treatment strategy for localized renal cell carcinoma (RCC). However, for RCC with high anatomical complexity, PN remains a challenge for urologists. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the functional oncological outcomes and safety of laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) versus open partial nephrectomy (OPN) in localized RCC patients with highly anatomical complexity (R.E.N.A.L. score ≥ 10). Patients and methods: We retrospectively studied 575 patients who underwent PN at our center between January 2007 and December 2017. After propensity score-matching (PSM), 137 patients treated with LPN and 54 patients treated with OPN were balanced into 97 and 44 pairs. Patient demographics, and extensive perioperative and prognostic data were recorded and compared. Results: In the matched group, the OPN group had significantly less eGFR loss than the LPN group (2.57 ml/min/1.73 m2 vs. 31.59 ml/min/1.73 m2, P < 0.001). The recurrence-free survival (P = 0.287), overall survival (P = 0.296), cancer-specific survival (P = 0.664), and cardiocerebrovascular disease-specific survival (P = 0.341) were equivalent between groups. The rates of minor (P = 0.621) and major (P = 0.647) complications were also similar between groups. Conclusions: This PSM cohort study showed that OPN resulted in better renal function preservation than LPN in localized RCC patients with high anatomical complexity, and had comparable oncological and safety outcomes after long-term follow-up. The study aims to further standardize the construction process, improve the construction quality, and ensure the stability of infrastructure construction. The continuous rigid-frame bridge is taken as the research object, the finite element model of the bridge body is established by using the beam element, and the overall stability of the rigid-frame bridge is analyzed in the construction and completion stages. Moreover, the stability coefficient and buckling mode are established under different working conditions in each stage, the linear stability variation law is summarized, and the geometric nonlinear stability analysis method is established through the specific data. The nonlinear stability safety factor and buckling mode are obtained, and the influence of wind load and initial defects on the stability of continuous rigid-frame bridge is further explored. The results show that with the increase of the bridge height, the overall stability factor of the bridge is decreasing, and the safety factor of the single-limb thin-walled hollow pier is relatively larger than that of the double-limb thin-walled hollow pier. During the construction, the asymmetric self-weight load caused by the asynchronous load and cantilever pouring has the greatest impact on the stability of the bridge. The stability safety factor of the geometric nonlinear stability analysis method constructed is 0.3% and 1.27% lower than the ideal state, respectively. The stability safety factor of the wind load and the initial defect is 12.65% lower than the ideal state, and the stability safety factor is greatly reduced. With the rapid development of underground engineering construction, such as deep mining of mineral resources and tunnel excavation under complex geological conditions, the existing support methods cannot meet the deformation requirements. It is necessary to conduct in-depth research on the stress status and damage evolution of the hanger rods, to establish a theoretical basis for the design principles and criteria of key components. In this paper, the degradation law of the mechanical properties of the hanger steel wire with the degree of corrosion is analyzed in detail. The results show that the corrosion changes the geometry of the cross section of the steel wire, which leads to the degradation of the mechanical properties of the steel wire. With the increase of corrosion length and depth, the strength, stiffness, and ultimate strain of the steel wire are reduced to varying degrees, and the effect of pitting corrosion is more significant than that of uniform corrosion. • This is the first study to explore the relationship between family socioeconomic status, suicide ideation, effortful control, irritability, and future orientation among adolescents, particularly in the Chinese context. • 25.6% (last week) and 45.4% (worst) of adolescents reported suicide ideation, with a significantly higher rate of suicide ideation among girls than boys (both last week and worst) and higher rates of suicide ideation among older grades (worst). • The external objective environment (e.g., family SES) may not be directly related to the mental health of adolescents (e.g., irritability, suicide ideation) but can indirectly affect the healthy development of adolescents through internal factors (e.g., effortful control). • The results suggest that we should pay attention to the positive effects of effortful control and future orientation on suicide prevention and intervention and suppress the negative effect of irritability on suicide. Traditionally, most researchers believe that low family socioeconomic status (SES) is closely related to high suicide ideation, but this view remains controversial in empirical studies. Meanwhile, less is known about the mechanisms underlying this association. Moreover, previous studies on the relationship between family SES and suicide ideation have mostly focused on adults rather than adolescents and relatively lacked support from Chinese samples. Therefore, this study is based on the integrated motivational–volitional model of suicide behaviour and the context-process-outcomes model, aiming to determine whether and how family SES is associated with adolescents' suicide ideation and to evaluate the chain-mediating effect of effortful control and irritability, as well as the moderating effect of future orientation on this association. Data were extracted from 1058 girls and 855 boys, aged 11 to 19 years (14.86 ± 1.61 years), who completed a self-reported online survey. Descriptive statistics, t -test, chi-square test, bivariate correlations, and regression analysis were performed using IBM SPSS version 25. The conditional process model (CPM) was examined using SPSS PROCESS Macro 4.0. The results showed that there were differences in some demographic factors and the main study variables between adolescents with and without suicide ideation. In addition, the results suggested that family SES was not directly related to suicide ideation in adolescents, but it could indirectly effect suicide ideation through the chain-mediating effect of effortful control and irritability. Furthermore, future orientation moderated the relationship between irritability and suicide ideation. These findings provide evidence for current debates and conflicting conclusions, reveal the effect mechanism of family SES on suicide ideation, and add to empirical support for the prevention and intervention of adolescent suicide ideation. Increased aggression due to gaming addiction is a widespread and highly publicized problem. The underlying processes by which verbal aggression, a more harmful and persistent subcategory of aggression, is affected by gaming addiction may differ from other types of aggression. In this study, data came from 252 randomly recruited current university students (50.79% male, mean age 19.60 years, SD: 1.44 years, range 17 to 29 years). Participants reported gaming addiction and different types of aggression through questionnaires. In addition, two important explanatory processes, inhibitory control, and risk preference, were measured through behavioral experiments. A Bayesian hierarchical drift-diffusion model was employed to interpret the data from the risk preference task. In contrast to previous work, the study found that inhibitory control did not significantly correlate with either gaming addiction or any form of aggression However, the drift rate, a measure of decision-making inclination under risk, partially mediates the relationship between gaming addiction and verbal aggression (but not other forms of aggression). The findings illuminate risk preference under adverse conditions as a key predictor of verbal aggression, offering avenues for early intervention and suggesting game design modifications to mitigate verbal aggression by adjusting reward mechanisms. Although hexagonal boron nitride (h‐BN) has recently been identified as a highly efficient catalyst for the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane (ODHP) reaction, the reaction mechanisms, especially regarding radical chemistry of this system, remain elusive. Now, the first direct experimental evidence of gas‐phase methyl radicals (CH3.) in the ODHP reaction over boron‐based catalysts is achieved by using online synchrotron vacuum ultraviolet photoionization mass spectroscopy (SVUV‐PIMS), which uncovers the existence of gas‐phase radical pathways. Combined with density functional theory (DFT) calculations, the results demonstrate that propene is mainly generated on the catalyst surface from the C−H activation of propane, while C2 and C1 products can be formed via both surface‐mediated and gas‐phase pathways. Inorganic perovskite quantum dots (QDs) have garnered significant attention due to their outstanding optical properties. However, perovskite quantum dot light‐emitting diodes (Pe‐QLEDs) still face challenges related to their fluorescence efficiency and electron injection. First, the electron transport layer (ETL) leads to severe non‐radiative recombination due to fluorescence quenching in CsPbI3 QDs. Second, there is an electron injection imbalance resulting from low electron injection efficiency, leading to reduced non‐radiative recombination and external quantum efficiency. To address these issues, this study introduces two interface layer materials with different electron affinities, 1,3,5‐Tris(3‐pyridyl‐3‐phenyl)benzene (TmPyPB) and 2,4,6‐Tris(3′‐(pyridine‐3‐yl)biphenyl‐3‐yl)‐1,3,5‐triazine (TmPPPyTz). These materials not only passivated defects on the surface of CsPbI3 QDs films but also effectively prevented the fluorescence quenching of CsPbI3 QDs by the PO‐T2T (ETL). TmPPPyTz, with a relatively lower LUMO energy level, further improved energy level matching, significantly enhancing electron injection efficiency. Ultimately, using interface engineering with the TmPPPyTz interface layer, the devices achieved an outstanding 25.80% champion‐level external quantum efficiency (EQE) for Pe‐QLEDs with only a sub‐bandgap voltage of 1.7 V and half‐life (T50) is 17.99 h at 100 nits. Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is one of the most common malignancies in the whole world, with little improvement in the 5-year survival rate due to the occurrence of chemoresistance. With the increasing interests in tumor immune microenvironment, immunogenic cell death (ICD)-induced chemotherapy has shown promising results in enhancing sensitivity to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) and improving the efficiency of tumor immunotherapy. This review summarizes the role of key ICD biomarkers and their underlying molecular mechanisms in HNSCC chemoresistance. The results showed that ICD initiation could significantly improve the survival and prognosis of patients. ICD and its biomarker could also serve as molecular markers for tumor diagnosis and prognosis. Moreover, key components of DAMPs including CALR, HGMB1, and ATP are involved in the regulation of HNSCC chemo-sensitivity, confirming that the key biomarkers of ICD can also be developed into new targets for regulating HNSCC chemoresistance. This review clearly illustrates the theoretical basis for the hypothesis that ICD biomarkers are therapeutic targets involved in HNSCC progression, chemoresistance, and even immune microenvironment regulation. Adding the two-dimensional (2D) material into the metal/oxide interface is a novel method to tune the property of the interface and the interface-controlled device. Compared to the widely studied influence of the interfacial 2D-material on the kinetic diffusion of the atom across the interface, the effect of the interfacial 2D layer on the energetic behavior of the point defect at the interface viewed at the electronic-/atomic-scale is less focused. In this work, the influence of graphene on the Au/HfO 2 interface is studied using a first-principles calculation. It is found that graphene can eliminate the Au-induced insulator-metal-transition of the HfO 2 layer at the interface, by screening the strong interaction between Au and HfO 2. At the atomic scale, graphene significantly increases the formation energy of the oxygen vacancy and vacancy pair in HfO 2 at the Au/HfO 2 interface, making the interfacial HfO 2 -layer surface-like. Also graphene alleviates the valence-electron-number dependent segregation of the alloying elements Ag, Cu and Ta at the Au/HfO 2 interface. The significant impact of graphene at the metal/oxide interface unraveled from the energetic point of view provides an alternative insight into the interface engineering of the electronic device such as the oxide-based resistive random access memory. For the surface deformation problem caused by pipe jacking construction, a conditional random field (CRF) method based on Co-Kriging theory is used to establish a stochastic simulation method for soil parameters in a finite element model, considering the constraint effect of borehole data and the influence of the correlation of adjacent strata. Combined with the pipe jacking case, the statistical laws of soil parameters and surface deformation laws are analyzed and compared with the unconditional random field (URF) method to verify the reliability and applicability of the proposed method. The research results show that the stochastic simulation method can effectively characterize the spatial variability and autocorrelation of stratigraphic parameters and obtain the surface deformation law and deformation range caused by pipe jacking construction. The parameters generated by the proposed method have a higher correlation and smaller stochastic range. When using the method to analyze engineering problems, the stochastic curves obtained from the analysis are more concentrated, and the discrete range is smaller. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Highlights: A new proton-promoted in situ ligand exchange strategy based on CsPbI3 quantum dots. The ligand exchange strategy maintains the quantum confinement effect of quantum dots and significantly improves the stability and photophysical properties of CsPbI3 quantum dots. The performance of light-emitting diodes based on CsPbI3 quantum dots is significantly improved, the external quantum efficiency is increased from 18.63% to 24.45%, and the half-operational lifetime is increased by 70 times. CsPbI3 perovskite quantum dots (QDs) are ideal materials for the next generation of red light-emitting diodes. However, the low phase stability of CsPbI3 QDs and long-chain insulating capping ligands hinder the improvement of device performance. Traditional in-situ ligand replacement and ligand exchange after synthesis were often difficult to control. Here, we proposed a new ligand exchange strategy using a proton-prompted in-situ exchange of short 5-aminopentanoic acid ligands with long-chain oleic acid and oleylamine ligands to obtain stable small-size CsPbI3 QDs. This exchange strategy maintained the size and morphology of CsPbI3 QDs and improved the optical properties and the conductivity of CsPbI3 QDs films. As a result, high-efficiency red QD-based light-emitting diodes with an emission wavelength of 645 nm demonstrated a record maximum external quantum efficiency of 24.45% and an operational half-life of 10.79 h. Bulk hydrophobic SiO2 aerogels were synthesized via sol-gel method by ambient pressure drying with methyltrimethoxysilane as precursor and methanol as solvent. A super-hydrophobic cotton fabric was prepared by coating the mixture of SiO2 aerogel and PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) onto cotton fabric. The effects of different conditions on the gelation time, density and porosity were discussed, and the optimum process was obtained. The surface morphology and wetting properties of the SiO2 aerogel and coated cotton fabric were studied by field emission scanning electron microscopy and contact angle measurement. The water contact angle of the prepared bulk SiO2 aerogels was 151.0°, which achieved super-hydrophobic effect and had three-dimensional continuous porous microstructure. The contact angle of cotton fabric treated with PDMS/SiO2 aerogel mixture was 155.4°. And the surface of the treated cotton fabric was covered with a large amount of SiO2 aerogels. The super-hydrophobic effect was achieved by the synergy between low surface energy characteristic of PDMS and the three-dimensional network micro-rough structure of SiO2 aerogels, and the crosslinking of aerogels and textile by PDMS. A series of NbO x /CeO 2 -rod catalysts were synthesized and employed as catalysts for oxidative dehydrogenation of propane (ODHP) reaction. Nb–CeO 2 interaction and reaction mechanisms were studied with synchrotron-radiation-based techniques. Synchrotron radiation photoemission spectroscopy and resonant photoemission spectroscopy results demonstrate that the Nb 5+ precursor preferentially interact with surface oxygen vacancies on CeO 2 rods. Surface redox reactions occur between Nb 5+ and Ce 3+ (surface oxygen vacancy) to produce Nb 4+ and Ce 4+ , resulting in decreased surface oxygen vacancy concentrations on CeO 2 rods. CeO 2 rods are active in catalyzing propane combustion at low temperatures (below 400 °C) via the MvK mechanism. The loading of NbO x suppresses the surface reducibility of CeO 2 rods, leading to decreased activity but greatly enhanced propene selectivity. The ODHP reaction catalyzed by CeO 2 rods and NbO x /CeO 2 -rods catalysts at high temperatures (above 450 °C) involves the radical mechanism, in which the gas-phase propyl radical was observed with synchrotron radiation VUV photoionization time-of-flight mass spectroscopy. Recently, thanks to their unique and attractive properties, such as tunable bandgap, high absorption coefficient, and long charge carrier diffusion length, metal halide perovskites have been recognized as one of the emerging candidates for next-generation optoelectronic devices. Optoelectronic devices based on perovskites have achieved significant breakthroughs in a relatively short period of time. However, their commercialization still faces various challenges, including stability, scalability, and reproducibility. Defects are often the culprits behind these problems, either inside the perovskites or at the device interfaces. Therefore, rational utilization of defect engineering to minimize the effect of defects on device performance and control of carrier behavior is the key to achieve efficient and stable perovskite-based optoelectronic devices (PODs). Given the important contribution to the rapid development of PODs, there is an urgent need to systematically investigate and summarize recent research advances in defect engineering. Therefore, in this review, defect physics in PODs are described in detail, the role and importance of defects in various PODs are highlighted, and various strategies for optimizing PODs are reviewed. Finally, based on the latest progresses and breakthroughs, the challenges facing in the future development of metal halide perovskites and their potential significance in the field of the optoelectronic are prospected. Circularly polarized luminescent inorganics arouses attentions due to scalable preparation and versatile chiral optoelectronic applications. Here, strong circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) activity has been developed from self‐assembled cellulose nanocrystals decorated with blue emitting silicon quantum dots (QDs). The electrostatic attraction promotes the successful incorporation of QDs into chiral template matrix to form homogeneous hybrid nanoarchitecture films. It is found that their circular dichroism behaviors are closely related to the photonic band gap (PBG) while the CPL behaviors are determined by the QDs and PBG simultaneously. Furthermore, the as‐prepared chiral composite thin films have been employed as an efficient circularly polarized light source for preparing enantioselective polymer, which can induce chirality and photopolymerization simultaneously. Traffic signal control is one effective way to alleviate traffic congestion. Anticipatory traffic signal control determines signal settings from a network planning perspective, which takes into account the influence of travelers' route choice response and triggers better equilibrium flow patterns for better network performance. For the route choice response, it is usually predicted by a response function known as traffic assignment model. However, the response behavior can never be precisely modeled, leading to a mismatch between the modeled and real traffic flow patterns. This model-reality mismatch generally contributes to suboptimal control performance and hence brings unexpected congestion in real-life traffic operations. This study aims to address the model-reality mismatch and proposes an effective anticipatory traffic control for real operations. A metamodel is introduced that serves as a surrogate of the unknown structural model bias. Then an iterative optimizing control scheme is applied to correct the model bias by learning from observations. By integrating the model-based control design with data-driven learning techniques, the metamodeling framework is able to enhance the control performance. Moreover, the analytical model bias formulation allows theoretical investigation of the model approximation error. To further improve the control performance, a joint traffic model parameter estimation is developed, hence achieving a better model calibration jointly with the model bias correction. The proposed control method is examined on a test network. Numerical examples confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method in improving control performance despite the model-reality mismatch. Comparison results show that the proposed method outperforms the traditional model-based control method and an improvement of 14.8% in total travel time is achieved in the example network. Background and Aim: Donor shortage has become worldwide limitation in liver transplantation (LT). Use of hepatitis B virus surface antigen positive (HBsAg+) donors could be an alternative source of donor organs. This study aims to investigate the safety and efficacy of LT using HBsAg+ liver grafts and associated long‐term outcome. Methods: This was a retrospective study of adults LT registered in the database of the China Liver Transplant Registry between January 2015 and September 2018. By propensity score matching (1:1), 503 eligible patients who received HBsAg+ liver grafts were compared with 503 matched patients who received HBsAg− liver grafts. Results: The 1‐, 3‐, and 5‐year patient survival rates were 81.52%, 72.04%, and 66.65% in HBsAg+ donor group, which were comparable with 83.93%, 77.27%, and 65.73% in HBsAg− donor group (P = 0.222). The 1‐, 3‐, and 5‐year graft survival rates were also comparable between the two groups (81.49%, 71.45%, and 67.26% vs 83.62%, 77.11%, and 65.81%, respectively, P = 0.243). Most main complications were not increased in HBsAg+ donor group except for the retaining of HBsAg positivity after LT. Furthermore, transplanting HBsAg+ liver grafts did not result in inferior outcomes either in HBsAg+ or HBsAg− recipients. The risk of tumor recurrence after LT was not increased in hepatocellular carcinoma patients. Conclusions: The outcomes of using HBsAg+ liver grafts were comparable with those of HBsAg− liver grafts. Background: Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3 PUFAs) exhibit potential as therapeutics for a variety of diseases. This observational and Mendelian randomization (MR) study aims to explore the relationship between omega-3 PUFAs and osteoarthritis (OA). Methods: Excluding individuals under 20 years old and those with missing data on relevant variables in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning from 2003 to 2016, a total of 22 834 participants were included in this cross-sectional study. Weighted multivariable-adjusted logistic regression was used to estimate the association between omega-3 PUFAs and OA in adults. Moreover, restricted cubic splines were utilized to examine the dose-response relationship between omega-3 PUFAs and OA. To further investigate the potential causal relationship between omega-3 PUFAs and OA risk, a two-sample MR study was conducted. Furthermore, the robustness of the findings was assessed using various methods. Results: Omega-3 PUFAs intake were inversely associated with OA in adults aged 40 ∼ 59 after multivariable adjustment , with a nonlinear relationship observed between omega-3 PUFAs intake and OA . The IVW results showed there was no evidence to suggest a causal relationship between omega-3 PUFAs and OA risk . Conclusions: Omega-3 PUFAs were inversely associated with OA in adults aged 40 ∼ 59. Hybrid lead halide perovskites have generated increasing attention for their high performance in optoelectronic applications. One main drawback of these materials is the sensitivity to moisture, which contributes heavily to the ultimate decomposition. Here, this study takes advantage of the reported representative white‐light emitting lead bromide perovskite and three‐dimensional (3D) perovskite as the subject of water‐stability study. It is reported here that other than observed phase transformation in one case, the majority of these perovskites break down in water rapidly, precipitating out as an inorganic salt compound Pb3Br6[H2O]·H2O. As these materials are studied in detail, it is discovered that better coverage of the hydrophobic organic cation enhances the water stability. Taking this idea further, it is demonstrated here that five new one‐dimensional (1D) lead bromide compounds have superior water stability, where the longest stability when completely immersed in water is more than one year and counting. This work provides a new mechanism regarding the degradation process when encountering moisture and general guidelines to increase the water stability for the lead bromide hybrids. Photocatalytic evolution of hydrogen and oxygen from water splitting over semiconductors is an efficient method for solar energy conversion. In this study, the 2D/2D BiVO4−CdS heterostructures with Ti3C2Tx (Tx=O, OH, F) as a co‐catalyst were synthesized by two steps as the visible‐light‐driven photocatalysts. Compared with BiVO4 and CdS, the heterostructured catalysis exhibit greatly enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen and oxygen production performances and excellent photodegradation and photoreduction activities of methylene blue (MB) and potassium dichromate Cr(VI), respectively. The remarkable enhancement is attributed to the proposed Z‐scheme carrier transfer derived from the 2D/2D BiVO4−CdS heterostructures. Charge separation and transfer of photoexcited electrons and holes pairs are further enhanced after loading Ti3C2Tx in the BiVO4−CdS heterostructures. The potential Z‐scheme photocatalytic system and co‐catalyst endows the BiVO4−CdS−Ti3C2Tx heterostructures with strong photo‐redox capacity and excellent stability in solar energy conversion. Nanomaterials has been widely adopted in asphalt binder modification in pavement engineering. Considering the advantage of nano-Al2O3 in high-temperature resistance and chemical stability, this study investigated the feasibility of the nano-Al2O3 used in asphalt modification in terms of performances and mechanisms. The impact of the nano-Al2O3 content on modified asphalt binder's pavement performance was analyzed via aging resistance, low temperature performance, high temperature performance, and bonding performance using various tests (e.g. DSR test, BBR test, RTFOT test, and BBS test). Results showed that the nano-Al2O3 is capable of improving base asphalt's aging resistance, high temperature performance and bonding performance, while bringing an insignificant adverse impact on performance at low temperatures simultaneously. Moreover, modification mechanisms of the asphalt binder under the modification of nano-Al2O3 were revealed from a view of functional groups and molecular characteristics via Gel permeation chromatography (GPC) tests and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) tests. According to the result, modification of base asphalt binder by nano-Al2O3 belongs to physical blended and inhibits the growth of sulfoxide groups during the aging process. [Display omitted] • WS 2 was used as the hole interface layer to improve the hole transport ability through energy level matching. • The crystal quality of perovskite film was improved by using WS 2 as the hole interface layer. • Obtained high-performance Quasi-2D blue perovskite light-emitting devices with EQE of 3.24%. Due to the deep energy levels, the external quantum efficiency (EQE) of the blue perovskite light-emitting diode (PeLED) is far lower than its green, red, and near-infrared counterparts, which has exceeded 20%. The mismatched energy levels between perovskites and the hole transporting layer (HTL) still hinder the hole injection and consequent improvement of blue PeLED device performance. Here, a two-dimensional material, WS 2 (Tungsten disulfide), was introduced to match the energy levels between perovskites and HTL and enhanced the hole injection. The WS 2 HTL-based perovskite FAPbBr 3-x Cl x blue LED achieved a luminance of 990 cd/m2 with an EQE of 3.24%, which surpasses the performance of previously reported for the formamidinium (FA) based system, indicating the potential of WS 2 for PeLEDs. Chiral hybrid Cu(I)‐based iodides with d10 closed shell demonstrate great potential for circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) because of high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY). Herein, by incorporating mono‐ or bi‐dentate coordination mode ligands as chiral source, the self‐assembly of four pairs of chiral hybrid Cu(I)‐based iodides, namely, (R/S)‐Cu4I4(Hmpy)4·H2O (R/S‐1), (R/S)‐Cu4I4(3Hpy)4 (R/S‐2), (R/S)‐Cu4I4(2MePI)4 (R/S‐3), and (R/S)‐Cu4I4(3AD)4 (R/S‐4) (where R/S‐Hmpy = R/S‐2‐pyrrolidinemethanol, R/S‐3Hpy = R/S‐3‐hydroxypyrrolidine, R/S‐2MePI = R/S‐2‐methylpiperazine, and R/S‐3AD = R/S‐3‐aminopiperidine), are reported. With the monodentate and bidentate ligands, these materials belong to two different structural types: 0D molecular clusters (R/S‐1, R/S‐2) and 3D porous metal–organic frameworks (R/S‐3, R/S‐4). These materials all crystallize in non‐centrosymmetric space groups containing similar basic Cu4I4 cubane tetramer building units but with different coordination modes. They are also semiconductors, with optical bandgaps ranging from 2.70 to 2.94 eV. The photoluminescence (PL) and circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) emissions are further characterized, where the highest PLQY of ≈95% and CPL dissymmetry factor (glum) of ≈7 × 10−3 are achieved in R/S‐1. This work offers a systematic comparison between different structural types with similar building blocks, bridging by the flexible chiral ligands, and shows that the hybrid copper iodides are highly promising candidates for next‐generation optoelectronics and chiroptics. The effects of Fe and SiC additions on the densification, microstructure, and ablation properties of ZrB 2 -based ceramics were investigated in this study. The sample powders were conventionally mixed by cemented carbide ball then sintered by spark plasma sintering. The ablation rates and behavior of the ceramics were investigated under an oxyacetylene torch environment at about 3000 °C. A sample with high relative density (96.3%), high flexural strength (415.6 MPa), and low linear ablation rate (−0.4 µm/s) was obtained via SPS at 1600 °C. Adding 4 vol% Fe was more beneficial to the density of ZrB 2 sintered at 1600 °C as compared to ZrB 2 sintered at 1800 °C. Background: Microvascular invasion (MVI) is an independent detrimental risk factor for tumor recurrence and poor survival in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) networks play a pivotal role in the modulation of carcinogenesis and progression among diverse tumor types. However, whether the ceRNA mechanisms are engaged in promoting the MVI process in patients with HCC remains unknown. Methods: A ceRNA regulatory network was constructed based on RNA‐seq data of patients with HCC from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. In total, 10 hub genes of the ceRNA network were identified using four algorithms: "MCC," "Degree," "Betweenness," and "Stress." Transcriptional expressions were verified by in situ hybridization using clinical samples. Interactions between ceRNA modules were validated by luciferase reporting assay. Logistic regression analysis, correlation analysis, enrichment analysis, promoter region analysis, methylation analysis, and immune infiltration analysis were performed to further investigate the molecular mechanisms and clinical transformation value. Results: The ceRNA regulatory network featuring a tumor invasion phenotype consisting of 3 long noncoding RNAs, 3 microRNAs, and 93 mRNAs was constructed using transcriptional data from the TCGA database. Systemic analysis and experimentally validation identified a ceRNA network (PVT1/miR‐1258/DUSP13 axis) characterized by lipid regulatory potential, immune properties, and abnormal methylation states in patients with HCC and MVI. Meanwhile, 28 transcriptional factors were identified as potential promotors of PVT1 with 3 transcriptional factors MXD3, ZNF580, and KDM1A promising as therapeutic targets in patients with HCC and MVI. Furthermore, miR‐1258 was an independent predictor for MVI in patients with HCC. Conclusion: The PVT1/DUSP13 axis is significantly associated with MVI progression in HCC patients. In this paper, a series of heteropoly acids, (Cs 2.2 Cu 0.26 V 0.38) x PMo 12 O 40 (x = 1.3, 1.1, 1.0, 0.88), are prepared, characterized and examined as the catalysts for the oxidation of isobutane to MAA. Under the employed reaction condition, Cs 2.23 Cu 0.26 V 0.38 PMo 12 O 40 exhibits an isobutane conversion of 20% and a MAA selectivity of 51% at 335 °C, giving a MAA yield of 0.68 mmol MAA ·h−1·g catalyst −1. Lattice oxygen mobility and acidity of (Cs 2.2 Cu 0.26 V 0.38) x PMo 12 O 40 catalysts play key roles. A fast migration rate and a moderate release rate of lattice oxygen are beneficial to the selective oxidation of isobutane to MAA. Cs 2.2 Cu 0.26 V 0.38 PMo 12 O 40 exhibits strong acid sites facilitating MAA desorption and surface sites strongly binding MAA, causing MAA polymerization which blocks the active sites and decreases the long-term catalytic activity. These results demonstrate that the optimization of lattice oxygen mobility and surface acidity is an effective strategy to fabricate efficient heteropoly acid catalysts for the oxidation of isobutane to MAA. All‐inorganic perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) have received extensive attention for next‐generation thin film devices due to their excellent optical properties, such as strong light absorption, high carrier mobility, and defect tolerance. However, significant challenges remain to obtain high‐quality perovskite thin films. Herein, a simple but effective post‐treatment by laser irradiation for CsPbBr3 NCs thin films is reported. Laser‐induced secondary crystallization is observed in CsPbBr3 NCs thin films after treatment. In addition, amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) with a low threshold (5.6 µJ cm−2) and a high gain value (743 cm–1) is achieved. Based on optical measurements, it is attributed to the low defect density, reduced Auger recombination, and weak exciton–phonon interactions, which greatly suppress the nonradiative recombination channels. The ASE from the film after treatment has a high characteristic temperature (134 K), showing a stable optical gain performance that maintains its intensity for 35 h at room temperature (and 12 h at 40 °C). Finally, the proof‐of‐concept demonstration of graphic coding is shown. This study deepens the understanding of the optical gain mechanism of CsPbBr3 perovskite films and provides a simple and convenient laser treatment that enables the fabrication of high‐quality CsPbBr3 perovskite thin films. Background: Needle core biopsy (NCB) is one of the most widely used and accepted methods for the diagnosis of focal hepatic lesions. Although many studies have assessed the diagnostic accuracy of NCB in predicting the tumor grade, it is still under debate. Objective: To identify the influence of number of biopsies on NCB diagnostic accuracy. Methods: 153 patients with HCC were selected from patients who received preoperative NCB under the guidance of ultrasonography in our hospital. The diagnostic reference standard was the surgical pathologic diagnosis. Results: Using a 3-tier grading scheme (well, moderate and poor), the accuracy of NCB has no significant differences among different number of passes in HCC ≤5cm. For HCC >5≤8cm, the increasing number of passes could increase the diagnostic accuracy (63.3%, 81.8%, and 84.8% for passes one, two, and three, respectively). While in HCC>8cm, the diagnostic accuracy of passes one, two, and three were 62.1%, 69%, and 75.8%, respectively. Conclusions: The accuracy of NCB in assessing tumor grading associated with tumor size and number of passes. Meanwhile, a minimum of two passes should be performed to get better accuracy in patients with HCC >5cm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To study the contact mechanical characteristics and breakage mechanism of single particle, the particle contact experiment is simulated using the discrete element method. In this paper, to solve the problem that the envelope of the shear strength of the classical model is linear, a nonlinear discrete surface bonded model is introduced by applying nonlinear tangential strength criterion. The new model is compared with the classical model to verify its validity. Then, based on the new model, the particle contact experiment is numerically simulated, and the ball-plane contact breakage mechanism is analysed and discussed from the mesoscopic perspective. The results reveal that the nonlinear discrete interface bonded model can provide shear properties similar to those of actual materials. The numerical result reflects the shear failure of the edge of the conical region and the tensile failure of the whole specimen. Combined with the analysis of the results of stress distribution, velocity field, and force chain distribution, the formation mechanism of the cone core can be obtained. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, a closed-loop simulation of vehicle dynamics in CarSim is utilized as surrogate measures to study the effect of pavement roughness and differential settlement on risk of vehicle rollover and skidding. It is found that the influence of pavement roughness on vehicle rollover is significant and the influence of pavement roughness on vehicle skidding is insignificant. The influence of pavement roughness of grade A and B on safety margin of vehicle rollover can be negligible. Pavement roughness of grade C and D significantly reduces the safety margin of vehicle rollover. A 5 cm settlement difference on pavement reduces the safety margin of vehicle skidding on a good road. When the settlement difference is 5 cm, the vehicle rollover and skidding are greatly affected by the lane-changing speed. It provides an effective and general method based on vehicle dynamics for studying transportation safety as well as for setting up criteria for pavement maintenance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This research presents a comprehensive investigation into the development of advanced asphalt materials fortified with PF/OMMT nanocomposites, emphasizing the synergistic effects of melt blending and nano intercalation. Through meticulous characterization, including SEM, FT-IR, and XRD analyses, the study unveils the microstructural evolution, affirming the formation of highly oriented interlayer structures within the asphalt matrix. The incorporation of OMMT, known for its hydrophobicity, significantly enhances the interfacial interactions between PF and asphalt, thereby bolstering the material's mechanical resilience, specifically its tensile, shear, and high-temperature rutting resistance properties. The presence of PF imparts notable improvements in the asphalt's thermal stability and aging resistance, attributed to its inherent antioxidative properties and the establishment of a robust three-dimensional polymer network with OMMT. As a visible-light photocatalyst, bismuth iodide oxide (BiOI) is widely applied in water photocatalytic pollution degradation. However, due to the inherent high recombination rate of electron−hole pairs, an efficient photocatalytic performance could realize rarely by bare BiOI, resulting in its limited practical application. In this study, a novel type-II BiOI−C 3 N 5 heterostructure was prepared by a feasible solvothermal method to inhibit the recombination of photoexcited electrons and holes. The photocatalytic activity of the heterostructure was evaluated by degradation of tetracycline (TC) and penicillin G sodium. The results showed that compared with bare C 3 N 5 and BiOI, the photodegradation efficiency of tetracycline and penicillin G sodium was remarkable improved after heterostructure formation and the BiOI−C 3 N 5 (10% wt) samples demonstrated a higher degradation efficiency. The improvement of photocatalytic degradation activities can be attributed to the formation of type-II heterostructures with a close contact. Under the synergistic effect and interface structure in BiOI−C 3 N 5 , the spatial separation and transfer of charge carriers were increased significantly, which is in favor of enhancing the photocatalytic oxidation capacity of BiOI. Peroxiredoxins (Prxs) belong to the superfamily of thiol-dependent peroxidases, and remove reactive oxygen species (ROS) and other oxidative stress products. The expression and activity of Prxs can be substantially affected by stimuli from the microenvironment, and in turn regulate cytokine secretion in the context of inflammation in both peroxidase-dependent and -independent pathways. Prxs translocate to mitochondria and are hyperoxidized during acute liver damage, and attenuate intracellular ROS accumulation through their peroxidase activity. In particularly, Prx1 modulates the microenvironment in liver injuries by reducing adhesion molecule expression in vascular endothelial cells and inhibiting the inflammatory response and adhesion of macrophages. Prxs have potent prosurvival effects against ROS in ischemic/reperfusion (I/R) injury, but Prxs released from necrotic cells increase secretion of inflammatory cytokines by macrophages through TLR2 and 4 activation, which promotes cell death. Prxs can be used as biomarkers to evaluate I/R injury and predict graft survival in liver transplantation. Prxs are modulated in various types of chronic hepatitis and hepatosteatosis, and mediate disease progression. Alcohol administration increases oxidization and inactivation of Prxs in mice because of oxidative stress. Background and Aim Our previous proteomic research found that chloride intracellular channel 1 ( CLIC1) was upregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma ( HCC) tissues with portal vein tumor thrombus. The present study aimed to determine the role of CLIC1 in HCC invasion. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to explore protein expression of CLIC1 in 15 cirrhotic tissues and 69 pairs of HCC and paracarcinoma tissues. Small interfering RNA ( siRNA) and plasmids were transfected into HepG2 and SMMC7721 cells, and the in vitro function of CLIC1 in these cells were assessed with cell counting kit-8 assays, cell apoptosis assays, scratch assays, and transwell assays. Microarray analysis was also performed to further explore the candidate genes related to CLIC1. Results Our results confirmed that upregulated CLIC1 expression was significantly correlated with vascular invasion ( P = 0.034) in HCC tissues. Knockdown of CLIC1 decreased cell viability and the invasive potency of HepG2 cells, whereas CLIC1 overexpression resulted in an opposite effect in SMMC7721 cells. Microarray analysis identified 618 genes that were differentially expressed (fold change ≥ 2, P < 0.05) between HepG2 cells transfected with CLIC1 siRNA and the negative control. Further studies indicate that knockdown of CLIC1 increased maspin expression and reduced vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF), matrixmetalloproteinase-2 ( MMP2), MMP9, MMP11, and MMP12 expression. In contrast, overexpression of CLIC1 decreased maspin expression and increased VEGF, MMP2, MMP12, and MMP13 expression. Conclusions CLIC1 protein expression is significantly correlated with vascular invasion, and the present study suggests a previously unknown mechanism of CLIC1-mediated control of HCC invasiveness by targeting maspin. In online social media, there is a large amount of clickbait using various tricks such as curious words and well-designed sentence structures, to attract users to click on hyperlinks for unknown benefits. Clickbait detection aims to detect these hyperlinks through automated algorithms. Previous researches usually focus on the semantic information of the English clickbait corpus. In our paper, we construct a Chinese WeChat clickbait dataset, and propose an effective deep method, i.e., m ultiple f eatures for W eChat c lickbait d etection (MFWCD), by integrating semantic, syntactic and auxiliary information. Based on the MFWCD framework, we propose two models with different parameter scales, namely MFWCD-BERT and MFWCD-BiLSTM, which respectively use Bidirectional Encoder Representation from Transformers (BERT) and lightweight Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) network with attention mechanism to encode title semantics. In addition, we propose an improved Graph Attention Network (GAT) to aggregate local syntactic structures of titles and use attention mechanism to capture valuable structures. Finally, an auxiliary feature related to user reading behavior is introduced to obtain a richer title representation. Sufficient experiments prove the effectiveness and interpretability of our MFWCD for clickbait detection, and the performance is better than compared baseline methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
