Dicranopteris dichotoma is a pioneer herbaceous plant species that is tolerant to barrenness and drought. Mapping its biomass spatial distribution is valuable for understanding its important role in reducing soil erosion and restoring ecosystems. This research selected Luodihe watershed in Changting County, Fujian Province, China, where soil erosion has been a severe problem for a long time, as a case study to explore the method to estimate biomass, including total and aboveground biomass, through the integration of field measurements, handheld laser scanning (HLS), and airborne laser scanning (ALS) data. A stepwise regression model and an allometric equation form model were used to develop biomass estimation models based on Lidar-derived variables at typical areas and at a regional scale. The results indicate that at typical areas, both total and aboveground biomass were best estimated using an allometric equation form model when HLS-derived height and density variables were extracted from a window size of 6 m × 6 m, with the coefficients of determination (R2) of 0.64 and 0.58 and relative root mean square error (rRMSE) of 28.2% and 35.8%, respectively. When connecting HLS-estimated biomass with ALS-derived variables at a regional scale, total and aboveground biomass were effectively predicted with rRMSE values of 17.68% and 17.91%, respectively. The HLS data played an important role in linking field measurements and ALS data. This research provides a valuable method to map Dicranopteris biomass distribution using ALS data when other remotely sensed data cannot effectively estimate the understory vegetation biomass. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to outline a complete picture of Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction (JHR) in the central nervous system among HIV-negative neurosyphilis patients. Methods: A prospective study cohort of 772 cases with almost all stages of neurosyphilis depicted the features of JHR including occurrence rate, risk profiles, clinical manifestations, medical management and prognosis. Results: The total occurrence rate of JHR was 9.3% (95% CI, 7.3-11.4%), including 4.1% (95% CI, 2.7-5.6%) with severe JHR. The reaction started 5 h after treatment initiation, peaked after 8 h, and subsided after 18 h. Patients with severe JHR experienced a longer recovery time (26 h). Patients with general paresis (OR = 6.825), ocular syphilis (OR = 3.974), pleocytosis (OR = 2.426), or a high CSF-VDRL titre (per log2 titre increase, OR = 2.235) were more likely to experience JHR. Patients with general paresis had an 11.759-fold increased risk of severe JHR. Worsening symptoms included cognitive impairment, mania, nonsense speech, and dysphoria, while symptoms of hallucination, urination disorder, seizures, myoclonus, or aphasia appeared as new-onset symptoms. Neurosyphilis treatment did not need to be interrupted in most patients with JHR and could be reinstated in patients with seizures under supportive medication when JHR subsided. Conclusion: Severe JHR displayed a 4.1% occurrence rate and clinicians should pay particular attention to patients at a higher risk of JHR. The neurosyphilis treatment regime can be restarted under intensive observation for patients with severe JHR and, if necessary, supportive medication should be initiated and continued until the end of therapy. With the intensification of global resource shortages and the environmental crisis, hydrogen energy has garnered significant attention as a renewable and clean energy source. Water splitting is considered the most promising method of hydrogen production due to its non-polluting nature and high hydrogen concentration. However, the slow kinetics of the two key reactions, the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER) and Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER), have greatly limited the development of related technologies. Meanwhile, the scarcity and high cost of precious metal catalysts represented by Pt and Ir/RuO2 limit their large-scale commercial application. Thus, it is essential to develop catalysts based on Earth's transition metals that have abundant reserves. Vanadium (V) is an early transition metal with a distinct electronic structure from late transition metals such as Fe, Co, and Ni, which has been emphasized and studied by researchers. Numerous vanadium-based electrocatalysts have been developed for the HER and OER. In this review, the mechanisms of the HER and OER are described. Then, the compositions, properties, and modification strategies of various vanadium-based electrocatalysts are summarized, which include vanadium-based oxides, hydroxides, dichalcogenides, phosphides, nitrides, carbides, and vanadate. Aqueous zinc–iodine batteries are considered to be one of the most promising devices for future electrical energy storage due to their low cost, high safety, high theoretical specific capacity, and multivalent properties. However, the shuttle effect currently faced by zinc–iodine batteries causes the loss of cathode active material and corrosion of the zinc anodes, limiting the large-scale application of zinc–iodine batteries. In this paper, the electrochemical processes of iodine conversion and the zinc anode, as well as the induced mechanism of the shuttle effect, are introduced from the basic configuration of the aqueous zinc–iodine battery. Then, the inhibition strategy of the shuttle effect is summarized from four aspects: the design of cathode materials, electrolyte regulation, the modification of the separator, and anode protection. Finally, the current status of aqueous zinc–iodine batteries is analyzed and recommendations and perspectives are presented. Some e‐platforms such as Amazon and JD.com are increasingly active in financing business, but theoretical research on this business is not comprehensive enough. This paper uses game theory model to compare the equilibrium of e‐platform financing (EPF) and bank financing (BF) in terms of pricing, quality, suppliers' competition, participants' profits, and consumer welfare. We find that a monopolistic supplier can always enjoy a lower loan interest rate and borrow more loans to improve production quantity or quality under EPF, which benefits to the participants and consumers. Interestingly, the e‐platform provides free loans and only profits from commission fee under some conditions. When there are two suppliers competing for the market share, the absolute advantage of EPF will change. If the supply chain or market environment is bad (production cost or commission rate is high; the potential market or initial budget is low), the e‐platform will offer lower interest rates than bank to reduce the strength gap between the suppliers; thus, the capital‐constrained supplier prefers EPF, which shows that the EPF business is an effective means to regulate upstream competition. However, when there are more competitive suppliers, the preferences of the suppliers with less initial capital are the same as the scenario of the two competitive suppliers, while the preference of the supplier with more initial capital is just the opposite. Aims: Excessive influx of manganese (Mn) into the brain across the blood–brain barrier induces neurodegeneration. CYP1B1 is involved in the metabolism of arachidonic acid (AA) that affects vascular homeostasis. We aimed to investigate the effect of brain CYP1B1 on Mn‐induced neurotoxicity. Method: Brain Mn concentrations and α‐synuclein accumulation were measured in wild‐type and CYP1B1 knockout mice treated with MnCl2 (30 mg/kg) and biotin (0.2 g/kg) for 21 continuous days. Tight junctions and oxidative stress were analyzed in hCMEC/D3 and SH‐SY5Y cells after the treatment with MnCl2 (200 μM) and CYP1B1‐derived AA metabolites (HETEs and EETs). Results: Mn exposure inhibited brain CYP1B1, and CYP1B1 deficiency increased brain Mn concentrations and accelerated α‐synuclein deposition in the striatum. CYP1B1 deficiency disrupted the integrity of the blood–brain barrier (BBB) and increased the ratio of 3, 4‐dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC) to dopamine in the striatum. HETEs attenuated Mn‐induced inhibition of tight junctions by activating PPARγ in endothelial cells. Additionally, EETs attenuated Mn‐induced up‐regulation of the KLF/MAO‐B axis and down‐regulation of NRF2 in neuronal cells. Biotin up‐regulated brain CYP1B1 and reduced Mn‐induced neurotoxicity in mice. Conclusions: Brain CYP1B1 plays a critical role in both cerebrovascular and dopamine homeostasis, which might serve as a novel therapeutic target for the prevention of Mn‐induced neurotoxicity. AbstractIntelligent personal assistants (IPAs) are becoming increasingly interactive, convenient and intelligent, and their potential for improving second language skills has been proven by many studies. However, these studies have mainly concentrated on secondary and higher education groups, and little is known about the use of IPAs by second language learners in a sensitive period. Moreover, few studies have analyzed learners’ discourse and behavior. In this study, an intelligent personal assistant called MSLIPA is introduced, and 44 Mandarin second language learners in the second grade of elementary school are recruited and randomly assigned into an experimental group (communicated with MSLIPA) and a control group (communicated with their peers). Both groups completed five Mandarin exchange classes. The researchers explored the impact of IPA on second language learners from two aspects: the interaction process and the acquisition of listening and speaking ability. The results show that learners engage in more rounds of dialog and use more interaction strategies when interacting with IPAs than with their peers; through the LDA analysis of the text data, it is found that the communication topics between the learners and the IPA are rich; conversations with IPAs can significantly improve learners’ listening and speaking ability, but there is no significant difference in the improvement brought about by conversations with peers. These findings indicate that the IPA has potential in Mandarin second language learning in the sensitive period, but longer-term research on technology implementation and strategy application is needed. An undescribed diterpene, stellerterpenoid A (1), and two undescribed sesquiterpenoids, stellerterpenoids B and C (2–3), together with six known compounds, prostratin (4) stelleraguaianone B (5), chamaejasnoid A (6), auranticanol L (7), wikstronone C (8), and oleodaphnone (9), were isolated from the roots of Stellera chamaejasme L. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic data (1D, 2D NMR, IR, UV, and HR-ESI-MS). The absolute configuration of 1–3 was elucidated based on ECD calculation. Among them, stellerterpenoid A was a rare 13, 14-seco nortigliane diterpenoid and stellerterpenoid B was a guaiacane-type sesquiterpenoid with an unusual 1, 2-diketone moiety. The known stelleraguaianone B (5) exhibited moderate activity for suppressing NO production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated RAW 264.7 macrophages cells with an IC50 value of 24.76 ± 0.4 μM. The formation, evolution and regeneration of water resources follow the general laws of nature. However, in recent years, with the increasing social and economic activities of human beings, the hydrological cycle of nature has undergone significant changes, which has led to a prominent contradiction in the water supply-demand. It has also led to a series of serious environmental and ecological problems, which have caused certain areas, such as the Tarim River Basin (TRB) to face severe conditions of water shortage, downstream river channel cutoff, vegetation degradation and ecological environment deterioration. The lack of water is the main problem to solve these problems, and the water resource reproducible ability, now and in the future, is the key to solving the core problem of water shortage. Through collecting data of precipitation, runoff and temperature of representative hydrographic stations of the Tarim River, as well as the data of geographical location and human activities, this paper studies the factors affecting the water resource reproducible ability in the TRB. The paper draws the following conclusions: (1) The water resource reproducible ability in the source flow area of TRB is increasingwhen the temperature and precipitation is increasing. (2) The water resource reproducible ability in the west of TRB is greater than that in the east. Purpose: Although the therapy-related bone loss attracts increasing attention nowadays, the differences in chemotherapy-induced bone loss and bone metabolism indexes change among breast cancer (BC) women with different menstrual statuses or chemotherapy regimens are unknown. The aim of the study is to explore the effects of different regimens of chemotherapy on bone health. Method: The self-control study enrolled 118 initially diagnosed BC women without distant metastasis who underwent dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) bone mineral density (BMD) screening and (or) bone metabolism index monitoring during chemotherapy at Chongqing Breast Cancer Center. Mann-Whitney U test, Cochran’s Q test, and Wilcoxon sign rank test were performed. Results: After chemotherapy, the BMD in the lumbar 1–4 and whole lumbar statistically decreased (− 1.8%/per 6 months), leading to a significantly increased proportion of osteoporosis (27.1% vs. 20.5%, P < 0.05), which were mainly seen in the premenopausal group (− 7.0%/per 6 months). Of the chemotherapeutic regimens of EC (epirubicin + cyclophosphamide), TC (docetaxel + cyclophosphamide), TEC (docetaxel + epirubicin + cyclophosphamide), and EC-T(H) [epirubicin + cyclophosphamide-docetaxel and/or trastuzumab], EC regimen had the least adverse impact on BMD, while the EC-TH regimen reduced BMD most (P < 0.05) inspite of the non-statistical difference between EC-T regimen, which was mainly seen in the postmenopausal group. Chemotherapy-induced amenorrhea (estradiol 94 pg/ml vs, 22 pg/ml; FSH 9.33 mIU/ml vs. 61.27 mIU/ml) was proved in premenopausal subgroup (P < 0.001). Except the postmenopausal population with calcium/VitD supplement, the albumin-adjusted calcium increased significantly (2.21 mmol/l vs. 2.33 mmol/l, P < 0.05) after chemotherapy. In postmenopausal group with calcium/VitD supplement, β-CTX decreased significantly (0.56 ng/ml vs. 0.39 ng/ml, P < 0.05) and BMD were not affected by chemotherapy (P > 0. 05). In premenopausal group with calcium/VitD supplement, PTH decreased significantly (52.90 pg/ml vs. 28.80 pg/ml, P = 0. 008) and hip BMD increased after chemotherapy (0.845 g/m2 vs. 0.952 g/m2, P = 0. 006). As for both postmenopausal and premenopausal group without calcium/VitD supplement, there was a significant decrease in bone mass in hip and lumbar vertebrae after chemotherapy (0.831 g/m2 vs. 0.776 g/m2; 0.895 g/m2 vs. 0.870 g/m2, P < 0.05). Conclusion: Chemotherapy might induce lumbar vertebrae BMD loss and spine osteoporosis with regimen differences among Chinese BC patients. Calcium/VitD supplementation could improve bone turnover markers, bone metabolism indicators, and bone mineral density. The mining rope shovel (MRS) is one of the core pieces of equipment for open-pit mining, and is currently moving towards intelligent and unmanned transformation, replacing traditional manual operations with intelligent mining. Aiming at the demand for online planning of an intelligent shovel excavation trajectory, an MRS excavating trajectory planning method based on material surface perception is proposed here. First, point cloud data of the material stacking surface are obtained through laser radar to perceive the excavation environment and these point cloud data are horizontally calibrated and filtered to reconstruct the surface morphology of the material surface to provide a material surface model for calculation of the mining volume in the subsequent trajectory planning. Second, kinematics and dynamics analysis of the MRS excavation device are carried out using the Product of Exponentials (PoE) and Lagrange equation, providing a theoretical basis for calculating the excavation energy consumption in trajectory planning. Then, the trajectory model of the bucket tooth tip is established by the method of sixth-order polynomial interpolation. The unit mass excavation energy consumption and unit mass excavation time are taken as the objective function, and the motor performance and the geometric size of the MRS are taken as constraints. The grey wolf optimizer is used for iterative optimization to realize efficient and energy-saving excavation trajectory planning of the MRS. Finally, trajectory planning is carried out for material surfaces with four different shapes (typical, convex, concave, and convex–concave). The results of experimental validation show that the actual hoist and crowd forces are essentially consistent with the planned hoist and crowd forces in terms of the peak value and trend variations, verifying the accuracy of the calculation model and confirming that the full bucket rate and various parameters meet the constraints. Purpose: To assess the efficacy of double-balloon endoscopy (DBE) for the detection of small-bowel strictures in Crohn's disease (CD). Methods: This tertiary-referral hospital cohort study was conducted between January 2018 and May 2022. CD patients with symptoms of small-bowel stricture were enrolled sequentially. All of the patients were subjected to both computed tomography enterography (CTE) and DBE, and their symptoms of stricture were assessed using the Crohn's Disease Obstructive Score (CDOS). The diagnostic yield of DBE was compared to that of CTE, and the relationship between the DBE findings and CDOS was investigated. The factors influencing the DBE diagnosis were examined using Cox regression analysis. Results: This study included 165 CD patients. The CDOS scores were higher in 95 patients and lower in 70 patients. DBE detected 92.7% (153/165) and CTE detected 85.5% (141/165) of the strictures. The DBE diagnostic yields were 94.7% (90/95) in the high CDOS patients and 91.4% (64/70) in the low CDOS patients (P = 0.13). Patients with a history of abdominal surgery and abscess had a lower diagnosis rate in the multivariate analysis. Conclusion: DBE has been demonstrated to be an efficient diagnostic method for detecting small bowel strictures in CD patients. Objective: To screen and analyze the function of specific CircRNAs involved in pathological bone formation in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Methods: From September 2019 to October 2020, hip capsule tissues obtained from 3 patients with AS developed hip joint fusion and 3 patients with femoral neck fracture (FNF) were obtained. The circular RNA expressions of hip capsule were analyzed by Arraystar CircRNA chip. qRT‐PCR analysis wan performed to identify the expression patterns of differentially expression CircRNAs. Results: Our findings showed that there were 25 up‐regulated and 39 down‐regulated differential CircRNAs. Among these CircRNAs, we screened 10 highest up‐regulatedCircRNAs and 13 lowest down‐regulated CircRNAs (Fold Change≥2,P<0.05). In further verification analysis, hsa_circ_0067103, hsa_circ_0004496, and hsa_circ_0002649, ACTG1 were significantly upregulated, while hsa_circ_0020273, hsa_circ_0005699, and hsa_circ_0048764 were markly downregulated in AS tissue than FNF controls. Conclusion: The expression of CircRNAs involved of pathological bone formation in AS were significantly different from those of control group. To evaluate the diagnostic performance of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) metrics for glioma grading on a point-to-point basis. Forty patients with treatment-naïve glioma underwent DCE-MR examination and stereotactic biopsy. DCE-derived parameters including endothelial transfer constant (K trans ), volume of extravascular-extracellular space (v e), fractional plasma volume (f p v), and reflux transfer rate (k ep) were measured within ROIs on DCE maps accurately matched with biopsies used for histologic grades diagnosis. Differences in parameters between grades were evaluated by Kruskal-Wallis tests. Diagnostic accuracy of each parameter and their combination was assessed using receiver operating characteristic curve. Eighty-four independent biopsy samples from 40 patients were analyzed in our study. Significant statistical differences in K trans and v e were observed between grades except v e between grade 2 and 3. K trans showed good to excellent accuracy in discriminating grade 2 from 3, 3 from 4, and 2 from 4 (area under the curve = 0.802, 0.801 and 0.971, respectively). V e indicated good accuracy in discriminating grade 3 from 4 and 2 from 4 (AUC = 0.874 and 0.899, respectively). The combined parameter demonstrated fair to excellent accuracy in discriminating grade 2 from 3, 3 from 4, and 2 from 4 (AUC = 0.794, 0.899 and 0.982, respectively). Artificial intelligence (AI) is an interdisciplinary field that encompasses a wide range of computer science disciplines, including image recognition, machine learning, human−computer interaction, robotics and so on. Recently, AI, especially deep learning algorithms, has shown excellent performance in the field of image recognition, being able to automatically perform quantitative evaluation of complex medical image features to improve diagnostic accuracy and efficiency. AI has a wider and deeper application in the medical field of diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) occurs frequently in southern China and Southeast Asian countries and is the most common head and neck cancer in the region. Detecting and treating NPC early is crucial for a good prognosis. This paper describes the basic concepts of AI, including traditional machine learning and deep learning algorithms, and their clinical applications of detecting and assessing NPC lesions, facilitating treatment and predicting prognosis. The main limitations of current AI technologies are briefly described, including interpretability issues, privacy and security and the need for large amounts of annotated data. Background: Silver sulfadiazine is commonly used to treat local burn wounds. Aquacel‐Ag is a hydrogen fiber dressing containing ionic silver that reduces burn wound infection and promotes antimicrobial activity. It is necessary to compare the efficacy of the two in the healing of burns. Aims: The aim of this study was to systematically evaluate the effect of Aquacel‐Ag on burn wound healing. Methods: A computerized search of CNKI, VIP, Wanfang, SinoMed, PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMbase, Science Direct, Web of Science, Wiley Online Library, and Open Access Library databases was performed from January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2021 for randomized controlled clinical trials. The trials on Aquacel‐Ag dressing and silver sulfadiazine in the treatment of burns were selected. Meta‐analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.0 software. Results: Eleven articles were finally included, with 794 burn patients. Meta‐analysis results showed that compared with patients treated with silver sulfadiazine, burn patients treated with Aquacel‐Ag dressing had shorter wound healing time [MD = −2.49, 95% CI (−5.64–0.65), p = 0.12], significantly lower tumor necrosis factor‐α (TNF‐α) level [MD = −0.52, 95% CI (−0.82–0.22), p = 0.0008], higher wound healing rate [MD = 8.41, 95% CI (3.39–13.43), p = 0.001], fewer dressing changes [MD = −3.27, 95% CI (−4.90–1.63), p < 0.0001]. Conclusion: Aquacel‐Ag dressing can shorten wound healing time and effectively reduce inflammatory reactions in burn patients compared with silver sulfadiazine, but their safety still needs further exploration and analysis. To explore whether Ghrelin could inhibit anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) derived fibroblasts pyroptosis and promote migration through regulating NF-κB p65/NLRP3 signaling. In this study, fibroblasts extracted from the ACL of clinical patients were collected for subsequent cellular experiments and to determine the model of TNF-α cell inflammation and the optimal concentration of Ghrelin intervention. An ACL partial injury model was established in Sprague Dawley rats given Ghrelin or Saline intervention. The repair of the ACL injury was determined by detecting the expression of pyroptosis molecules in ACL fibroblasts, changes in migration capacity, and histological staining. Cell migration was significantly inhibited in the TNF-α inflammation model group compared to the control group, and the expression of cellular pyroptosis proteins was significantly increased. Ghrelin intervention improved cell migration and inhibited the expression of pyroptosis proteins. Further study revealed that the expression of NF-κB p65/NLRP3 was also significantly reduced, suggesting that Ghrelin may inhibit the pyroptosis of fibroblasts by suppressing NF-κB p65/NLRP3. In Sprague Dawley rats with partial ACL injury, Ghrelin treatment for 4 or 8 weeks promoted ACL repair by increasing the number of fibroblasts and optimizing the distribution of collagen fibers compared to the injury group. Our study illustrates the ability of Ghrelin to inhibit pyroptosis and improve cell migration ability, thereby promoting repair of injured ACLs, which will provide a new strategy for the treatment of ACL injuries. Two new iridoid glycosides, named productasperulosidic acid butyl ester (1) and E-6-O-3-hydroxy-p-methoxycinnamoyl scandoside methyl ester (2), along with nine known ones (3–11), were isolated from Hedyotis diffusa Willd. Eldecalcitol is an active vitamin D3 derivative that is used for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the bioequivalence and safety of 2 formulations of eldecalcitol capsule (0.75 μg) in healthy Chinese male and female volunteers, as well as to investigate the food effect on the pharmacokinetics of this drug. An open label, randomized, 3‐period, 3‐sequence, reference replicated crossover clinical study was performed in 27 healthy Chinese volunteers under fasting conditions, while a 2‐way crossover study was carried out in 28 healthy Chinese volunteers under fed conditions. Volunteers were administered a single oral dose of 0.75 μg eldecalcitol after fasting overnight. Blood samples were collected at scheduled time points from 0 to 168 hours after administration of eldecalcitol. The 90%CIs of the test/reference geometric mean ratio (area under the plasma concentration–time curve and maximum plasma concentration) of eldecalcitol after a single‐dose administration were within the acceptance criteria based on the average bioequivalence method. The time to maximum concentration of the test and reference formulations were elevated by ≈2.3‐fold and 1.7‐fold, respectively, after a high‐fat meal. Only mild and transient adverse events were reported in this study, and no severe adverse events occurred. These results indicated that the 2 formulations of eldecalcitol were bioequivalent under both fasting and fed conditions. As one of the well-known anticancer drugs, methotrexate (MTX) has been limited in clinical application due to its side effects on normal tissues. This study focused on the one-step hydrothermal synthesis and in vitro evaluation of Fe3O4/RGO-PEI as MTX carriers for targeted anticancer therapy. In which, the Fe3O4 provided magnetic response properties; RGO acted as a stage for Fe3O4 loading and improved the dispersion of Fe3O4; polyethylenimine (PEI) was used as a surface modifier and a storehouse for MTX. The prepared Fe3O4/RGO-PEI nanocomposites exhibited a suitable size, good stability and magnetic responsibility. And the MTX loading content and loading efficiency were calculated to be 26.6% and 90.5%, respectively. What's more, due to the diffusion and dissolution of PEI, the Fe3O4/RGO-PEI-MTX exhibited excellent pH-sensitivity, the values of MTX release rate (%) within 48 h at pH 5.8 and 4.0 were 64.3% and 87.4%, respectively. Furthermore, MTT assays in cancer cells (HepG2) and normal cells (HUVEC) demonstrated that Fe3O4/RGO-PEI-MTX exhibited high anticancer activity while low toxicity to normal cells, and also the Fe3O4/RGO-PEI composites were practically non-toxic. First, the N -soliton solutions of this (2+1)-dimensional equation are constructed by using its Hirota bilinear form. Second, through using long-wave limit technique and selecting appropriate parameters for the N -soliton solutions, diverse localized wave structures including kink soliton, breather, lump solution and their mixed interaction behaviors are obtained, and relevant dynamics features are discussed and analyzed graphically. Finally, some mathematical properties and special physical phenomena are summarized. Human health, environmental contamination, and food safety are tightly associated with hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S). The safe and highly sensitive monitoring of H 2 S in tissues, organs, and blood has presented ongoing challenges. Herein, a novel near-infrared (NIR)-activated water-soluble molecular probe, denoted as IR820-TPY-Cu was developed for detecting hydrogen sulfide. This probe is built upon the fluorescent molecule IR820, a derivative of Indocyanine green (ICG). Upon reacting with H 2 S, IR820-TPY-Cu exhibits active fluorescence (670–750 nm), which is attributed to the Cu (II) ion quenching mechanism and substitution strategy. IR820-TPY-Cu exhibits selectively activated near-infrared fluorescence signal changes, a low detection limit of 0.114 μM, and a rapid in vitro response (3 min) for H 2 S detection. Moreover, the biocompatible probe IR820-TPY-Cu not only quantitatively monitors H 2 S in environmental water and various food specimens (red wine, beer, meat, milk, and sweet potato) through colorimetric sensing but also successfully images endogenous and exogenous H 2 S in living cells, zebrafish, and mice. This research provides a promising approach for monitoring H 2 S in environmental contamination, ensuring food safety, and studying living systems. Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) are an integral part of the acute myeloid leukemia (AML) bone marrow microenvironment and contribute to AML progression. In this study, we explored the communication between BMSCs and AML cells via exosomes. The AML cells co-cultured with BMSCs-Exos were found to have lower chemosensitivity exposed to cytarabine, suggesting that BMSCs-Exos could protect AML cells from cytarabine. Interestingly, miR-10a was elevated in BMSCs-Exos derived from AML (AML-BMSCs-Exos) compared with that from healthy donor. The expression levels of miR-10a in AML cells was significantly up-regulated after co-culture with BMSCs-Exos. Furthermore, the up-regulated miR-10a was an crucial factor contributing to the chemoresistance of leukemia cells. Down-regulation of miR-10a substantially increase chemosensitivity of AML cells treated with BMSCs-Exos. Chemosensitivity of AML cells was also decreased through down-regulating RPRD1A by miR-10a that ultimately lead to the stimulation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. Purpose: Fecal calprotectin (FC) levels can reflect the level of intestinal inflammation. Crohn's disease (CD), which affects the small bowel, has not been linked to FC levels. We determined if FC levels and endoscopic activity were related by performing double-balloon endoscopy (DBE). Methods: Herein, patients with small bowel CD diagnosed by DBE between January 2020 and January 2022 were prospectively observed. Feces and blood samples of patients were collected before performing DBE and checked for the levels of FC and serological biomarkers. The endoscopic activity and mucosal healing (MH) were evaluated using the partial simple endoscopic score (pSES-CD). Results: In all 254 CD patients, FC levels were correlated with pSES-CD (r = 0.775, P < 0.001). Even in patients with isolated small bowel CD, FC levels were strongly correlated with pSES-CD (r = 0.753, P < 0.001). In all patients, FC as an endoscopic remission indicator was found to have an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.872, with a cut-off value of 156.09 µg/g. In patients with isolated small bowel CD, FC yielded a high AUC of 0.865 for predicting endoscopic remission, with a cut-off value of 211.48 µg/g, sensitivity of 73.95%, and specificity of 91.30%. FC was optimally cut-off at 76.99 µg/g to predict MH in accordance with the AUC of 0.877. Conclusions: Using DBE findings, FC was found to be significantly correlated with pSES-CD. Objective. The aims of this study were to investigate the impact of TAK-242 on the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)/myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88)/nuclear transcription factor-κB (NF-κB) signal transduction pathway in rats with hepatic fibrosis (HF) using the liver gut axis and to investigate the molecular mechanism of its intervention on HF. Methods. SPF grade SD male rats were randomly allocated to the control, model, and TAK-242 groups. For 8 weeks, the model and TAK-242 groups received 3 mL·kg-1 (the initial dose 5 mL·kg-1) intraperitoneal injections of 40% CCL4 olive oil solution. TAK-242 (5 mg·kg-1) was administered once a day for 5 days after modeling. The pathological alterations of liver and small intestine tissues in each group were observed using H&E and Masson staining. ELISA was used to measure serum levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), direct bilirubin (DBIL), total bilirubin (TBIL), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α). RT-qPCR was utilized to identify the mRNA expression level of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, TLR4, MyD88, and NF-κB in rat liver and small intestine tissues. The protein level of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, TLR4, MyD88, and NF-κB protein in rat liver and small intestine tissues was determined utilizing Western blot and IHC. Results. TAK-242 significantly reduced AST, ALT, TBIL, and DBIL expression in HF rats' serum (P < 0.01) and alleviated liver tissue injury. Hematoxylin-eosin (H&E) and Masson staining revealed inflammatory cell infiltration and fibrous proliferation in the liver and small intestine tissue in the model group and partial cell swelling in the TAK-242 group, which indicated a considerable improvement compared to the model group. RT-qPCR, Western blot, and IHC data indicated that TAK-242 reduced the IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, TLR4, MyD88, and NF-κB expression in the liver and small intestine tissues of HF rats. Conclusion. Online manipulation of multiple micro- and nanoscale agents is of major interest for various research applications. Among the biggest limitations of wireless external actuation are its global and coupled influences in the workspace, which limit the robust manipulation of multiple agents independently and simultaneously. In this paper, we propose novel motion planning algorithms, $\tt Bi$ - $\tt iSST$ and $\tt Ref$ - $\tt iSST$ , to quickly generate time-optimal trajectories for multiple agents sharing global external fields. Both algorithms are extended by the stable sparse rapidly-exploring random tree kinodynamic motion planning algorithm. The $\tt Bi$ - $\tt iSST$ uses a bidirectional approach to speed up the searching process. A novel connection process is proposed to connect the two trees efficiently by applying an optimization procedure. The $\tt Ref$ - $\tt iSST$ uses the workspace information to quickly generate global-routing trajectories as references, then guides the search process more effectively by getting more accurate heuristics according to the reference global-routing trajectories. A transition matrix similar to that in Markov Decision Processes is used to form the reference trajectory. Compared with the state-of-the-art $\tt iSST$ algorithm, the proposed algorithms quickly update feasible solutions and converge to a near-optimal, minimum-time solution to increase the efficiency of the simultaneous manipulation of multiple micro agents using global external fields. Extensive analysis and physical experiments are presented to confirm the effectiveness and the performance of the motion planning algorithms. The proposed algorithm guarantees anytime performance and quickly converges to a near-optimal minimum time solution for multiple agents. Background: Fatty liver index (FLI) is the most recognized blood biomarker for diagnosis of hepatic steatosis (HS), but lacks the reliable specific cut-off points (COPs). Therefore, we aim to investigate the population-specific COPs of FLI based on the results of liver ultrasound transient elastography (LUTE) and conventional ultrasonography in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).Methods: 5948 participants who underwent LUTE from the NHANES 2017-2018 and 14,797 participants who underwent conventional ultrasonography from the Third NHANES (NHANES III) were recruited. FLI was calculated by using body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), triglyceride, and gamma-glutamyl transferase, and its optimal COPs in a specific population (stratified by sex, BMI, and WC) were obtained from receiver operator characteristics (ROC) curve with ultrasonic-diagnosed HS as the reference standard.Results: Based on LUTE in NHANES 2017-2018, the prevalence of HS and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) were 58.7% and 56.2%, respectively, and the optimal COP of FLI for HS diagnosis in the overall population was 45.60, with an area under ROC curve (AUROC) of 0.833 (0.822-0.844). Based on conventional ultrasonography in NHANES III, the prevalence of HS and MAFLD were 34.4% and 27. 9%, respectively, and the optimal COP of FLI for HS was 59.5, with an AUROC of 0.681 (0.671-0.691). With the increase of BMI and WC, the COPs increased gradually with significant differences between different groups. Compared with conventional ultrasonography, the COPs of FLI based on LUTE were much more precise, with higher diagnostic ability. The population-specific COPs of FLI stratified by gender, WC, and BMI were tabulated.Conclusion: In the United States, the incidences of HS and MAFLD were high, especially when assessed by LUTE. Currently, the electrochemical exfoliation of graphene stands out as an efficient, scalable approach to access high-quality products, due to its simplicity, low cost, and environmental friendliness. Here we have proposed an electrochemical method for preparing graphene at both the anode and cathode simultaneously. Graphite was first subjected to ion intercalation sufficiently on the anode and cathode and then expanded ultrafast under the assistance of microwave irradiation. With plenty of ion intercalation and proper microwave irradiation, graphene would be successfully exfoliated. The as-prepared graphene flakes from anode and cathode behave few-layer feature (more than 80% ≤ 4 layers) and large sizes (about 94% are larger than 1 μm), possess low oxygen content and little defects (6.1% and 1.9% oxygen for anodic and cathodic graphene, respectively). In addition, the high yields in our method (the maximum yields for anode and cathode were 81% and 76%, respectively) and the recycling of electrolytes suggest that our method owns great potential for large-scale production and provide an important reference for the commercial preparation of green and low-cost graphene. Objectives: Residual pockets are a risk factor of periodontitis progression. This study evaluated the efficacy of periodontal endoscopy (PE) during scaling and root planning (SRP) of residual pockets in chronic periodontitis patients after initial periodontal treatment. Materials and methods: A single-blinded, randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted in systemically healthy subjects presenting at least three residual pockets with a probing depth (PD) ≥ 5 mm in each quadrant. Subjects were randomly allocated to one of two trial groups using a computer-generated program: SRP + PE (test group) or SRP alone (control group). Clinical parameters (PD, clinical attachment level (CAL), bleeding on probing (BOP), and plaque index (PLI)) were then measured at baseline, 3-, and 6-month follow-up. Results: A total of 1629 sites in 37 patients were examined. Both treatments significantly improved all clinical outcomes (PD, CAL, BOP, and PLI) from baseline to 6 months (P < 0.05), although greater reductions in PD and PLI were observed in the test group at both 3- (PD: 3.45 ± 0.56 vs. 4.14 ± 0.59 mm; PLI: 0.55 ± 0.23 vs. 0.73 ± 0.27) and 6-month follow-up (PD: 3.12 ± 0.63 vs. 4.0 ± 0.68 mm; PLI: 0.49 ± 0.21 vs. 0.72 ± 0.28, respectively; P = 0.001 for PD and P = 0.021 for PLI). No significant differences in CAL or BOP were observed. Conclusions: SRP + PE resulted in significant reductions in PD and PLI compared to SRP alone in residual pockets with a PD ≥ 5 mm. Adding haptic feedback has been reported to improve the outcome of minimally invasive robotic surgery. In this study, we seek to determine whether an algorithm based on simulating responses of a cutaneous afferent population can be implemented to improve the performance of presenting haptic feedback for robot-assisted surgery. We propose a bio-inspired controlling model to present vibration and force feedback to help surgeons localize underlying structures in phantom tissue. A single pair of actuators was controlled by outputs of a model of a population of cutaneous afferents based on the pressure signal from a single sensor embedded in surgical forceps. We recruited 25 subjects including 10 expert surgeons to evaluate the performance of the bio-inspired controlling model in an artificial palpation task using the da Vinci surgical robot. Among the control methods tested, the bio-inspired system was unique in allowing both novices and experts to easily identify the locations of all classes of tumors and did so with reduced contact force and tumor contact time. This work demonstrates the utility of our bio-inspired multi-modal feedback system, which resulted in superior performance for both novice and professional users, in comparison to a traditional linear and the existing piecewise discrete algorithms of haptic feedback. A 5-year-old Chinese girl presented to a dermatology clinic with itching and eyelash loss on her left lower eyelid. She had recently traveled to Jeju Island, South Korea, and had contact with rabbits and cats. Trichoscopy revealed pustules, scales, broken eyelashes, and microscopic examination confirmed the presence of Trichophyton interdigitale. The diagnosis was tinea blepharitis, and the symptoms resolved after treatment with oral itraconazole and topical fluconazole eyedrops. Blepharitis is an inflammatory condition of the eyelid margin that can have various causes, including infections and environmental factors. Trichoscopy provided valuable diagnostic information in this case. Treatment for blepharitis depends on the type and pathogens involved. Monodisperse composite microspheres were prepared of zirconia and urea formaldehyde resin having an average particle size of 2.2 μm. Their surface was modified by silane coupling agent and styrene, and then sulfuric acid assisted with silver sulfate to form solid sulfonic acid based ion‐exchange catalyst (namely, ZrO2‐SIEC) for the alkylation of 2,4/2,5‐xylenol mixture. The selectivities of catalyst ZrO2‐SIEC to produce 6‐2,4‐xylenol and 4‐2,5‐xylenol were found to be 98.9% and 97.9%, with yields of 98.6% and 80.9%, respectively. The optimized reaction conditions were identified including temperature (80°C), catalyst dosage (9%) and reaction time (180 min). In addition, catalyst ZrO2‐SIEC showed good reusability for maintaining stable catalytic performance over 25 cycles of reuse, attributed to its stable mechanical, thermal and chemical properties. Comparison with other four catalysts demonstrated good performance of ZrO2‐SIEC in terms of catalytic activity, operating conditions, separation from products, and environmental friendliness. Purpose: To assess the relative clinical efficacy and safety of ablation and laparoscopic adrenalectomy (LA) for the treatment of adrenal aldosterone-producing adenoma (APA). Materials and methods: Pubmed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases were searched for relevant studies, while the meta-analysis was performed with RevMan v5.3. Results: After initially identifying 496 potentially relevant studies, five were ultimately included in the final meta-analysis. In total, these studies contained 128 patients that underwent LA and 91 patients that underwent ablation to treat APA. Clinical success rates were comparable between these two groups (OR: 0.55, P = 0.20), whereas the pooled decreases of systolic and diastolic blood pressure were significantly larger in the ablation group (P = 0.01 and 0.002, respectively). Pooled changes in the aldosterone-to-renin ratio (ARR), serum potassium levels, and medication use were similar in both groups (P = 0.62, 0.24, and 0.96, respectively). The average operative duration in the ablation group was somewhat shorter, but the difference was not significant (MD: − 57.99; P = 0.05), whereas the average blood loss and postoperative hospital stay duration of patients in the ablation group were decreased for patients in the ablation group compared to the LA group (P < 0.00001 and 0.00001, respectively). Major complication, minor complication, and hypertension crisis rates were comparable between these groups (P = 0.35, 0.69, and 0.09, respectively). Conclusions: Ablation offers comparable efficacy to LA when treating patients with APA, but is associated with a reduced operative duration, decreased intraoperative blood loss, and faster postoperative recovery. As an enzyme-free isothermal amplification strategy, catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA) is a very promising method for cell imaging. However, the practical application of CHA on intracellular miRNA imaging is limited by slow kinetics, insufficient amplification efficiency and strong interference in living cells. Herein, a localized catalytic hairpin assembly-based DNA nanomachine (LCHA nanomachine) was developed for the rapid, efficient and reliable fluorescence resonance energy transformation (FRET) imaging of miRNA-21 in living cells. The nanomachine was simply constructed by a one-step self-assembly process of a stator strand, a pair of hairpin probes from CHA and an AS1411 aptamer. Benefiting from the spatial-confinement effect, a pair of hairpin probes with high collision frequency was rapidly and efficiently assembled using miRNA-21 as the catalyst on a stator strand in every nanomachine. Compared with the free-CHA nanomachine, the LCHA nanomachine shortened the reaction time by 4.5-fold for reaching a plateau and significant improved the sensitivity by 7.6-fold for miRNA-21 detection in vitro. Importantly, the nanomachine was successfully applied for miRNA-21 imaging in living cells. With the assistance of an AS1411 aptamer and stator strand, the pair of hairpin probes with the ratio of 1 : 1 synchronously transported into a co-site of the cytoplasm, which ensures efficient imaging of trace miRNA-21. The signal output of the ratio of 6-carboxy-fluorescein (FAM) to tetramethyl rhodamine (TAMRA) intensities guaranteed reliability through avoiding the interference from different amounts of the nanomachine that enters into cells. Notably, the nanomachine can distinguish the miRNA-21 expression level in different kinds of cancer cells. By virtue of the advantages of simplicity, efficiency and reliability, the proposed strategy provides a powerful method for exploring the functions of miRNA and diagnosis of disease. Microcalcification is one of the significant indications for or can even be the sole mammographic feature of breast cancer, especially occult breast cancer. Biopsy and pathologic examination are the most important methods used to identify the nature of suspicious microcalcifications. Stereotactic vacuum-assisted breast biopsy (S-VAB) is the most commonly used biopsy method for microcalcifications currently because of the high detection rate of mammography for microcalcifications. However, in recent years, several clinical studies have gradually found that ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted breast biopsy (US-VAB) could be an alternative to S-VAB for microcalcifications to some extent, and has its own advantages of flexibility, real-time performance, comfort and high accessibility compared with mammography. An overview of US-VAB of microcalcifications is provided with respect to success rate, diagnostic accuracy, advantages and limitations. On the basis of numerous studies and clinical experience, US-VAB proved to be a valid alternative to S-VAB, with comparable diagnostic accuracy if the microcalcification foci could be detected by ultrasound. This paper proposes a modified adaptive lasso method by the Bayesian bootstrap (BBAL) and approximates the posterior distributions of parameters for a linear and a logistic regression model, respectively. The BBAL estimators are proved to have asymptotic and Oracle properties and they are acquired by the coordinate descent algorithm which could get the solutions at the grid of values of the penalty parameter λ. Three numerical experiments are conducted to demonstrate the BBAL method. Test results show the consistency of the variable selection and result in more robust estimators. This study presents the first integrated electrochemical platform (IEP) with point-of-use and portable features for on-site determination of ponceau 4R (RP), amaranth (AM), and tartrazine (TZ) in food by integrating a mass-producible Pt nanoparticles/laser-engraved graphene (Pt NPs/LEG)-based sensing chip and a reusable electrochemical miniaturized workstation. The sensing chip utilizes Pt NPs/LEG with unique architectures as electrode material and exhibits desirable analytical performance towards RP, AM, or TZ with satisfied linear range (0.25–50 μM for RP, AM, and TZ), high sensitivity (7.29 μA μM−1 cm−2, 7.18 μA μM−1 cm−2, and 2.02 μA μM−1 cm−2 for RP, AM, and TZ, respectively) and low limit of detection (50 nM, 58 nM, and 204 nM for RP, AM, and TZ, respectively). The sensing chip shows excellent selectivity, high stability, outstanding reproducibility, and acceptable mechanical stability. A 48-year-old woman in Chengdu, China, presented with recurring lesions on her trunk and extremities. The lesions started as purplish-red papules and pustules, which then developed necrosis and crusting before resolving within 4 weeks, leaving atrophic varioliform scars. A skin biopsy revealed lymphocytic vasculitis associated with fibrinoid necrosis and thrombotic occlusion of individual vessels. To exclude infectious dermatoses, tests were conducted, including acid-fast staining and meta-genomic next-generation sequencing, which yielded negative results. A chest computed tomography showed calcified nodules in both lungs, indicating a history of pulmonary tuberculosis. An interferon-γ release assay confirmed latent tuberculosis infection, and the patient was diagnosed with papulonecrotic tuberculid. Colored potatoes have garnered attention due to their higher nutrients compared to regular potatoes. This study describes a combined transcriptomic and metabolomic analysis of potato tubers originating from a single sexual cross between two parents with differing tuber skin and flesh colors. Through the use of RNA-seq, and UPLC-MS/MS metabolomics, this study aimed to elucidate the genetic and metabolic variations involved in the transmission of traits from tetraploid potato parents to hybrid F 1 offspring. Our analysis revealed unique genes and metabolites associated with flavonoids and alkaloids within each group of offspring. Phenolic acids, flavonoids, and alkaloids are highlighted as key contributors to the positive heterosis observed in the tubers of potato hybrids, as assessed by calculating mid-parent heterosis for metabolites in three potato hybrids. At the overall metabolites level, hybrid SB (red-skinned and red-fleshed) exhibited a higher mid-parent heterosis than hybrid SA (purple-skinned and purple-fleshed) and SC (yellow-skinned and yellow-fleshed). Within hybrid SB tuber, specific accumulations of luteolin, salicin, isovitexin, and esculeoside B-5 were identified. Moreover, co-expression networks and correlation analysis pinpoint genes related to flavonoid and alkaloid biosynthesis. Notably, StDFR (dihydroflavonol reductase), a gene involved in flavonoid synthesis in potato tuber flesh, exhibits heightened expression in colored potato flesh. Additionally, we identified StYUCCA (indole-3-pyruvate monooxygenase) , a gene regulating indole alkaloids synthesis, with elevated expression in yellow potato flesh. Background: Preoperative computed tomography (CT)-guided coil localization (CL) is commonly used to facilitate video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS)-guided diagnostic wedge resection (WR) of pulmonary nodules (PNs). When a scapular-blocked PN (SBPN) is localized, the trans-scapular CL (TSCL) is commonly performed. In this study, we investigated the safety, feasibility, and clinical efficacy of preoperative CT-guided TSCL for SBPNs.Materials and Methods: From January 2014 to September 2020, a total of 152 patients with PNs underwent CT-guided CL prior to VATS-guided WR. Of these patients, 14 had SBPNs and underwent the TSCL procedure.Results: A total of 14 SBPNs were localized in the 14 patients. The mean diameter of the 14 SBPNs was 7.4 ± 2.4 mm. The technical success rate of the scapula puncture was 100%. No complications occurred near the scapula. The technical success rate of CL was 92.9%. One coil dropped off when performing the VATS procedure. The mean duration of the TSCL was 14.2 ± 2.7 min. Two patients (14.3%) developed asymptomatic pneumothorax after TSCL. The technical success rate of VATS-guided WR was 92.9%. The patient who experienced technical failure of TSCL directly underwent lobectomy. The mean duration of the VATS was 90.0 ± 42.4 min and the mean blood loss was 62.9 ± 37.2 ml. The final diagnoses of the 14 SBPNs included invasive adenocarcinoma (n = 4), adenocarcinoma in situ (n = 9), and benign disease (n = 1).Conclusions: Preoperative CT-guided TSCL is a safe and simple procedure that can facilitate high success rates of VATS-guided WR of SBPNs. Tactile information about an object can only be extracted from population responses of tactile receptors and their afferents. Thus, to best control tactile information in robots, neuroprostheses or haptic devices, inputs should represent responses from full populations of afferents. Here, we describe a simplified model that recreates afferent population responses of thousands of tactile afferents in a personal computer. The whole model includes a resistance network model to simplify the skin mechanics and an improved version of a single unit model that we have previously described. The whole model was implemented by short and efficient python code. The parameters of the model were fit based on a simple vibrating stimulus, but the simulated outputs generalize to match receptive field sizes, edge enhancement, and neurophysiological responses to dot textures, embossed letters and curved surfaces. We discuss how to use this work to model haptic perception and provide guidance in designing and controlling highly realistic tactile interfaces in robots, neural prostheses and haptic devices. Polymer nanoparticles have made progress in pharmaceutical nanotechnologies due to their efficient drug delivery. However, considerable amounts of surfactant are required during polymerization, which inevitably brings some potential problems. Herein, template polymerization is utilized to synthesize polyacrylic acid/soluble starch (PAA/SS) complex nanoparticles by surfactant‐free polymerization. As a template, soluble starch (S‐starch, SS) nanoparticles are obtained by nanoprecipitation due to their polyhydroxy structure. The resultant complex nanoparticles with pH sensitivity have core–shell structures, which facilitates their use as nanoparticles in preparation of gelatin‐like materials. Another interesting property of PAA/SS complex nanoparticles is that the SS template can be removed by α‐amylase, then PAA nanocapsules are obtained. A hypothesis for the mechanisms of PAA/SS complex nanoparticles formation and PAA nanocapsules preparation with α‐amylase is also proposed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
