Abstract

The article presents an abstract of the study "Voltage-Dependent Block of Native AMPA-Receptor Channels by Dicationic Compounds." Whole-cell recording and concentration-jump techniques have been used to examine the action of a series of dicationic compounds on AMPA receptors. According to the analysis of voltage dependence of block, the ability of dicationic compounds to allow GluR2-lacking channel depends on the bulkiness of the drug molecule.
