One of the different forms of association in the late Middle Ages in Europe were those known as national confraternities. These represented a way of bringing together people with the same origin in a foreign land to fulfil different goals, such as religious, commercial or funerary purposes. In order to carry out these needs, they decided to establish chapels in the different cities they inhabited. In this work, we will focus on the case of the Cathedral of the Holy Cross (Santa Cruz) of Cádiz, currently known as the Old Cathedral, where both the Genoese and the Biscayans established their chapels in the last decades of the 15th century. The era in which we are living could be defined as the era of global migration. Masses of inividuals - in the most part coming from countries tormented by hunger, epidemics or wars - are crossing the sea, the ocean or the desert, in search of safer shores where to find shelter and hospitality. From their part, Western people feel the strong pressure of this massive exodus, evaluate with increasing concern the consequences - for economy and public order -, and basically divide themselves into two different groups: the few who want to offer hospitality and the many who would rather raise higher and higher walls to segregate misery and despair on the other side of a frontier. Where does the distrust of the foreigner come from? What are the psychological and sociological mechanisms that favor its diffusion? Could we find a philosophical guideline to address such problems? Being arrested constitutes a break in the stream of existence. Among foreigners, incarceration is a potential traumatic event often characterized by language difficulties that make the diagnosis complicated and misleading. However, an early and correct diagnosis process is at the core of prevention and reduction of suicides and self-harming acts. The clinical interview and specific rating scales are inefficient to achieve the diagnosis in foreign subjects because of poor education levels, linguistic barriers and cultural differences. The aim of this research is to show the efficacy of the Lüscher Color Test to evaluate the risk factors for suicide. The analysis, supported by the software SPSS, revealed how the use of the Color test could predict the risk for suicide in inmates. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Europe is at a crossroad: in front of masses of foreigners it could be tempted to close the door. It would mean, on the earth, to erect walls or stretch spiny yarns. On open sea, it would mean to repudiate and violatie the law of the sea. As a matter of fact, this door would inevitably be demolished. On the other hand, Europe could decide to keep the door open and try to govern this phenomenon adopting welcome and cooperation policies, creating new opportunities and rights for different types of refugees (political, economic, environmental). All of the mentioned suggests reflecting on peace, rights and the environment. Immigration is first of all and foremost an individual story, the story of those who seek hospitality and non-violence. The article presents in detail the documentation on the flow of migratory mobility in the years 20132016. The study is not limited to examining the arrival of the immigrants in Italy, but also takes into account the processes activated to follow-up their integration in the Country and/or the choice of transit. It also highlighted the consistency of the phenomenon of the entrance of unaccompanied minors. Finally, it is noted that, even if it is foreseen that this phenomenon of the entrance of immigrants will continue, it is not possible to advance a serious provision for the future of the consistency of the phenomenon with regards to the processes of insertion and transition.
