The article reports on a study which found that the outcome for patients awaiting knee surgery did not improve with the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Additionally, the rates of knee arthroscopy were not reduced by the inclusion of an MRI. The study was conducted on 252 knee arthroscopy waiting list patients at a teaching hospital in Great Britain.
