The article presents a study which aims at mapping the human dendritic cells (DC) lineage through the integration of high-dimensional techniques. It mentions that the DC are professional antigen-presenting cells that orchestrate immune responses and are comprised of plasmacytoid DC (pDC) two functionally specialized lineages of conventional DC. The study utilized cytometry by time-of-flight (CyTOF) and scmRNAsequence.
