Metal nanoclusters (MNCs) have ultrasmall size (≤3 nm), precise molecular structure, strong luminescence, size-sensitive physicochemical properties, engineerable metallic composition, and rich yet tailorable surface chemistry, enabling them to be promising for the construction of luminescent sensors for diversified sensing applications in fields of environmental protection, food safety, agriculture, disease diagnosis, biomarker identification, etc. However, a systematic summary is urgently needed to correlate the physicochemical properties of MNCs with their influences on sensing applications, to summarize the synthetic strategies of highly luminescent MNCs towards sensor construction, and to discuss the general configurations and sensing mechanisms of MNCs-based luminescent probes. In this review, we first discuss relevant physicochemical properties of MNCs that may have major influences on the sensing mechanisms/performance of MNCs-based luminescent sensors, and then summarize the main synthetic strategies of highly luminescent MNCs. Then, we briefly illustrate the general configurations of MNCs-based sensors, and elaborately clarify their sensing mechanisms with the exemplification of representative sensing applications. We conclude the review with our perspectives on the opportunities/challenges of MNCs-based luminescent sensors. Considering the increasing use of emerging technologies in industrialized construction in recent years, the primary objective of this article is to develop and validate predictive models to predict the emerging technology utilization level of industrialized construction industry practitioners. Our preliminary research results indicate that the company background and personal career profiles can significantly affect practitioners' technology utilization level. Thus, our prediction model is based on four variables: company size, company type, working experience, and working position. The United States and China are selected as the case studies to validate the prediction model. First, a well-designed questionnaire survey is distributed to the industrialized construction industry practitioners from the two countries, which leads to 81 and 99 valid responses separately. Then, ordinal logistic regression is used to develop a set of models to predict the practitioners' utilization level of the four main technology types. Finally, the external test dataset consisting of 16 cases indicates the prediction models have a high accuracy. The results also reflect some differences of the technology utilization status in the industrialized construction industry between the United States and China. The major contribution of this research is offering an efficient and accurate method to predict practitioners' technology utilization level in industrialized construction. Ultrasmall metal nanoclusters (NCs) are a sub-class of metal nanoparticles (NPs) with a metal core size of ≤3 nm, and display interesting molecule-like properties. Atomically precise metal NCs can be synthesized by many solution chemistry methods in polar and non-polar reaction environments. Among these methods, two-phase based strategies involving a water-oil binary reaction system have emerged as a facile means to synthesize, process, functionalize, and apply metal NCs. This Review firstly presents an overview of the two-phase based strategies in the synthesis of hydrophobic and hydrophilic metal NCs, and aims to elucidate the underlying working principles of these strategies. Then, how a two-phase system could process metal NCs for size/composition tailoring, luminescence generation, sorting and purification is discussed. Subsequently, several examples that utilizing a two-phase system to efficiently functionalize metal NCs with different surface chemistry are highlighted. Finally, two-phase based applications of metal NCs in catalysis and self-assembly are also reviewed. The fundamentals and the advances of the two-phase based strategies in the synthesis, processing, functionalization, and application of metal NCs summarized in this Review may increase the acceptance of two-phase based strategy in the metal NC field. The prevailing property management philosophy in China is outdated and is therefore not useful for improving the sustainability of buildings and their facilities. However, the introduction and integration of basic ecological concepts in the existing studies of ecological property management theory has been limited. The analysis related to the methods for and the influencing factors on ecological behavior implementation has hardly been covered. Based on the use of grounded theory, this paper conducts an in-depth analysis of property management ecological behavior by setting the influencing factors as the research target. First, a literature review is conducted to identify the definition of property management ecological behavior. Based on the theory of planned behavior, a preliminary theoretical model of the factors influencing ecological behavior in property management is constructed. Then, the research framework and a data analysis scheme are designed based on grounded theory. An in-depth review is used to gather information on property management in community and public housing. The interview data are coded and analyzed with the help of NVivo11 software to identify the influencing factors of the property management ecological behavior in China. Studies have shown that factors influencing property management ecological behavior include stimulus, status, scenario, and result. The stimulus factors include government regulations , market pressure , and social supervision. The status factors include scale, nature, capabilities, value , environmental awareness of managers, and financial situation. The scenario factors include service cost, resource availability, object factor , and owner willingness. The result factors include the profits of the company and the satisfaction of the owners. This study comprehensively identifies the influencing factors of the property management ecological behavior in China and enriches the definition of property management ecological behavior. A theoretical model of influencing factors of property management ecological behavior is built and employed to systematically analyze the characteristics of the ecological behavior of property service companies. This study provides a foundation for further analysis of the mechanisms guiding ecological behavior among property management companies in China. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
