Telecommunications companies have great demands of work and seek to provide services with agility and quality in order to meet their consumers. However, there may be variations in requests, the concentration of services can occur in different periods, with no regularity in the number of services at certain times, however, in other situations there is an accumulation of services or the need to carry out activities with a greater degree of urgency. These fluctuations in attendance are substantially fueled by external factors. In this perspective, it is essential to adjust the service schedule of providers in order to meet the needs of the consumer, observing the deadlines agreed by ANATEL. In this sense, he worked at a telecommunications company located in the northwest of RS, study with the purpose of identifying and analyzing demand variations, proposing through the application of queuing theory, parameters for decision making in order to identify idle periods and overload of teams. As a problem, we tried to verify how seasonality and the action of external factors interfere in the waiting time, in the variability of demand, in the manpower needed to ensure service excellence within a time frame suited to the customer's needs. The necessary data collection took place through documentary research and consultations with the company's ERP system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
