This article aims to address the (re)production of working-class space under the fragmentary sociospatial logic, which overlaps and re-signifies the former center-peripheral dual logic. It focuses on the issue of working-class housing in Brazil beyond the materialization of commuter towns, envisioning broadening and updating the understanding of the proliferation of gated communities. The analysis emphasizes the case of Presidente Prudente, a mediumsized city located in the state of São Paulo. This research was based on an extensive bibliographic review and also interviews with residents of workingclass gated communities, financed by Minha Casa, Minha Vida Program (PMCMV). Such interviews make up a larger set of records produced by a broader research on the process of socio-spatial fragmentation, for this reason, a selection was carried out here that could notably support the analysis on the (re)production of Presidente Prudente's working-class space, identifying the valorization of the typology of gated communities, as a housing development for the PMCMV’s income ranges, and the changes related to the everyday practices of city dwellers. Public policies regarding social housing and the allocation of urbanized lots can face actions from public authorities aligning themselves with a capitalist production of space. This sets a logic where the most vulnerable are placed in areas conforming to or in territorial proximity to zones of social exclusion. One of the outcomes is the formation of areas characterized by significant internal homogeneity. This study analyzes the implementation of housing complexes and urbanized lot programs from 1960 to 2010, linking them to social exclusion and the potential for imposed socio-spatial segregation. As methodological procedures, the areas of housing complexes were surveyed and served by urbanized lot programs. Subsequently, the implementation sites of housing policies underwent synthetic cartographic production, integrating spatial data with indicators of social exclusion. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents the results of the study carried out on the Quilombo de Dandara Collective (Coletivo Quilombo de Dandara), located in Presidente Prudente, which established a Slam Poetry space in the city center. The objective was to understand the Slam educational processes and their relationships with school knowledge, as well as analyze its spatiality in relation to the broader processes of urban space production. Through the interviews, we accessed the life trajectories of the Collective members, their intersections and intertwining, their spatial practices, and their educational role. The Collective educates, by discussing topics such as racism and sexism, by welcoming multiple manifestations, by giving the floor to those who normally have no voice, and by connecting with other educational contexts that form an alternative political and cultural circuit in the city. The present research had as a goal to document the work of the Development Association of the Limited Children - Lumen et Fides which has offered for 30 years the treatment in the health and education fields helping children and adults with multiple deficiencies and disorder of the spectrum of the autism in the habilitation process. The research intends to take to the society's knowledge through a video documentary, the existence of the attendances offered and how the institution is able to contribute in the life of the deficient person. This study used the qualitative approach and as a method the study of case. The data collecting instruments were: bibliographic research, field research with deep interviews through a semi open script and documental research and analysis. The analysis of the data was done through the triangulation technique to document the work done by the institution. All the collected information served as a basis for the composition of the theoretical cut and also of the practical play entitled? This study, entitled "Study of the use of the containment structure type gabion", aimed to make an analysis of the viability of this type of wall, considering its physical characteristics, comparing the cost with other walls, and visits gabions workings in Presidente Prudente - SP. The methodology is based on books, tables budget, dimensioning programs and comparative costs between three types of walls. The results showed that in Presidente Prudente, the gabions were used as containment embankments near bridges and earth embankments. In dimensioning, showed resistance to the active thrust. In the cost comparison, it was the second most economical. Finally, come to the conclusion that the wall gabion is more advantageous when applied to slopes with vegetation growth, which he possessed high strength and, although it was not the most economically cheap, some factors influence its choice for use. This research is part of a project under development in Urban Planning and Environment Department of the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia (FCT) of Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), Campus of Presidente Prudente, named: "persistence in the urban space of the buildings of the Decade of 1940 in Presidente Prudente SP". This research develops the architectural inventory of old and new Municipal Palace. The first building of the Decade of 1940 with features of Art Deco, was replaced in the late 1960 by another modernist construction by Jorge Wilson, architect with strong influences from the work of Vilanova Artigas, master of modern architecture in São Paulo. The modernist building is of interest of preservation, as demonstrated by academic theses. Through the analysis of historical documentations, metric-lifting documentary, architectural conservation status, current photographic documentation and on-the-spot visits have allowed verification of designs designed and their social-spatial appropriation, in order to relate them with the theory of restoration to indicate the guidelines for the protection in their current urban context. 'Cruising' is popularly known among LGBT subjects as actions targeted towards sexual purposes, ranging from flirtation to sexual acts themselves. In this paper we observe that there are some codes of behavior related to 'cruising', and that it draws up a specific geography that organizes specific places, ways and urban circuits. The 'cruising', beyond a simple enjoyment and an exercise of desire, is linked to the transgression of a set of institutions and heteronormative materialities. Such actions are spatial experience singularities as well as they organize unique spatialities. They exist in different urban contexts, and, in this paper, we analyze some case studies gathered in the cities of Presidente Prudente (SP) and Vitória da Conquista (BA), Brazil. This study aimed to evaluate the level of environmental consciousness of the population of Presidente Prudente in relation to the discard of electronics residues. It was applied a questionnaire to 73 people who participated in the Task Force Electronic Trash with questions relating to the discard of e-trash. Most interviewed were male (73%) with aged between 41 and 55 years (40%) and knowledgeable of the event on television. The reason mentioned by the interviewed for participation in the event was the desire to dispose of such materials, especially in their homes. It was observed that in general the prudentinos interviewed had satisfactory level of environmental consciousness, considering that 89% of them said they did not discard electronic trash in the common trash. This version intends to broach the historical data for training and organization of the city, as well as presenting the city - the context object of this research. Proposes the identification of the architectural language of the city in the formative years, as well as the trajectory of the production in developmental period. From the discussions proposed by the graphics, the article has these objectives: The first moment make a survey the city, understanding the process of urban transformation until the 1960s, then intended to know the production architectural inserted in that period.
