By examining the changes that have occurred in migration policies over the last decade, which have radically transformed the mobility trajectories of migrants, the article analyses the im-mobility produced by these policies through existential, spatial and temporal perspectives. Going deep into two ethnographic settings in Calabria (Southern Italy), one rural and one urban, the article investigates how people involved in the process of going through the reception system can enhance their aspirations, hopes and desires in the attempt to find greater existential, work and housing stability. Together with the initiatives of local groups and social networks, the '"capacity to aspire'" of individuals is, in fact, the basis of the possibility to navigate the im-mobility produced by migration policies as well as to imagine and practice the future in present-times. This paper presents the results of a critical analysis of the 15-Minute City concept, developed through a comparative analysis of three case studies: the ville du quart d’heure in Paris, the Superilla plan in Barcelona and the Piazze Aperte programme in Milan. This comparative analysis is addressed through the lens of the theoretical and design paradigm of civic design/capital web and aims to highlight the limits and potential of these models and inform future research directions to pursue the eco-social transition of urban systems. In this article we propose a reflection on the development of a psychoanalytic function in services for families that deal with guaranteeing the right of visitation and relationship between non-cohabiting children and parents, in order to recover or maintain the relationship between them, in the event of conflict or because of prejudicial parental behaviours. We will analyse the history and mandate of neutral space services in Italy as well as the concept of neutrality in psychoanalysis. We will report on an intervention carried out in a centre for families, as part of a psychoanalytic psychotherapy traineeship. We propose that psychoanalytic intervention in this type of service can perform a mobility function, that is, encourage the search for new cultural ways of organising the dynamics of living together, including family relationships, which are as seemingly familiar as they are explorable. In recent years, systems have been introduced in many cities around the world to encourage residents to use bicycles as an element of increasing sustainable mobility and as a good complement. The aim of this paper is to compare bicycle sharing systems in selected cities around the world. Parts of the paper include a description of shared bicycle systems in European cities, Eastern Europe, North and South America, as well as in Asia and Australia. The paper concludes with a case study of the implementation of such a system. An important aspect is that the bicycle sharing system is popular among users and that it is used by more and more people, as evidenced by the present article. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Since 2015, the progressive tightening of border controls and the implementation of policy measures aimed at discouraging the settlement of asylum seekers in the Italian territories have increasingly left an unprecedented number of migrant people at the margins of the official system of reception. Though social research has variously explored their experience of informal settling by interrogating the power dynamics in relation to individuals and the processes of categorization, little attention has been devoted to their mobility dimension. The aim of this article is to place the relationship between mobility and informality in the foreground to examine the analytical purchase of the conceptual perspective of the mobility studies in order to explore the reality of asylum seekers and refugees outside the reception system in Italy, and not only. The article contributes to capturing the multiple mobility/immobility dimensions of their geographical and social trajectories, arguing for an overcoming of the representation of 'passive pawns' and establishing a more fine-grained analysis of the experience of 'migrant informality'.1 [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

For over twenty years, Italy has faced the phenomenon of so-called "forced" international migrations. By virtue of its geographic position in the Mediterranean, this country constitutes, in many cases, the first landing and the transit country for asylum seekers in their flight from wars, political crises, environmental catastrophes and depletion of resources. This also implied a growing number of "rejections" that is, asylum seekers to whom no form of protection was grantedand are unlikely to return to their country of origin. A segment of them represents an intense geographic mobility or, better to say, multiple mobilities that intersect and fuel each other.Scholars have mostly explored the trajectories of mobility of the native people or so-called "economic migrants". Much more rarely, refugees and asylum seekers have been perceived and framed as mobile subjects, protagonists of multiple and plural geographic, social, and migration movements.Therefore, this editorial and the whole Special Issue focus on the social changes that are reshaping migration scenarios, with particular attention paid to the paths of international and national mobility of refugees and asylum seekers outside the reception system, as well as their geographical, social and migration trajectories.Specifically, after introducing the topic, this paper, on the one hand, reconstructs the framework of Italian asylum policies, progressively more restrictive and discriminatory and destined to become a model for the entire European Union, analyzing the impact of the legal system and migration policies on the construction of the material and labor vulnerability of migrants and their exploitation within the national labor market. On the other hand, it deepens and reconstructs the theoretical perspectives on the phenomenon of mobility, the intersection between spatial dimension and temporal dimensions. Particular attention is paid to the pandemic and to the sociological interpretations of this phenomenon, the "mirror function" that it performs within society and the global migration scenario, the instrumental uses that have been made of this crisis in the political, economic, legal and social fields and the impact it has had on the common ethnographic and research practices shared by the papers that make up the Special Issue. Finally, the Editorial present the structure of the Special Issue and the contents of the articles, organized according to coherent theoretical and empirical path, aimed at illuminating all the facets of the "prism of new mobility". This paper discusses the process of migration to Europe stressing how human mobility is governed at the global level along differential and racialized lines. Drawing on ethnographic field with a group of refugees moving from Italy to Germany from 2011 to 2021, the paper gives insights on how refugees daily negotiate the European borders and how borders affect their lives in the long-term. The research discusses the theoretical concept of 'Departheid' to highlight the structural violence deployed by European and national institutions upon migrants, and add a focus on the temporal dimension stressing the intrinsic relation between the structures of power and the management of time embedded in the governing of migrant mobility. Practices of institutional abandonment and criminalization of refugees intra-EU mobility are affecting the temporalities of refugees, who react through everyday struggles of time re-appropriation aimed to regain control over their own lives and subjectivity. The article analyses the forms of mobility and (im)mobility of migrants and asylum seekers who are outside the institutional reception system. Through the narration of two ethnographic cases placed in northern and southern Italy, the authors retrace the biographical and geographic trajectories of migrants, and compare them with territorial policies. By analysing two very different contexts from the economic and social point of view, we highlight the similarities between these territories, the mobility and immobility they generate and through which they are crossed, before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The ongoing pandemic is bringing back the sense of limit in the contemporary cultural horizons, making inevitable the confrontation with the sense of our "duration" as individuals, society and human community. The contribution recalls the link between the memory system and the costruction of individual and collective duration; it analyzes the spatial-temporal changes responsible for the looming disconnection from the past and the future for the young generations; highlights the ambivalences and contradictions of these processes; stresses the centrality of critical memory in the costruction of new referents of meaning for human adventure in the contemporary global horizons. The present study focuses on travels of Johann Adolf II of Schwarzenberg. His two English journeys are investigated only briefly and viewed from a different angle than in other studies. The prominent part of the treatise concerns the Italian journey of 1836 and observes particularly the prince's interests related to economic inspiration, as well as personal and organizational aspects of travel. During the Italian journey, the company of travellers faced difficulties such as the crossing of the Alps or illnesses. The aim of the travel was to see big part of Italy from Milan to Venice and Rome, as well as other cities as far as Naples. The atmosphere of the journey resembled a family holiday, because the travelling company included even Princess Eleonore and their two small children. The study also focuses on other Johann Adolf 's journeys, for instance the "gentleman" journey to France or the diplomatic journey to Berlin. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

I combine the theoretical tools of medical anthropology and the framework of mobility studies to explore the intranational movements of women with breast cancer from Southern and Northern Italy. Differences include patients' technical and moral evaluations of doctors, that influence the patients' definitions of cure and illness experiences through their mobility and immobility. These (im)mobilities are, in turn, linked to the material and symbolic inequalities between Southern and Northern Italy and to the stigma attached to the south. The dialectic between vertical and horizontal urban development models seems to leave out the depth of the underground. The increasing urbanization, the consequent strong density as well as growing environmental concerns push the search for new models of development towards the subsoil frontier. Recognized resilience properties and a strong potential for sustainability indicate the underground as a natural destination for strategic infrastructures, consolidating its reputation as a surface service layer. Instead, we want to illustrate how the underground can contribute incisively to the revision of urban models by introducing new spatial and performance parameters, both in new and historic contexts, and how it is now urgent to achieve integrated planning and planning of the environment in all its depth. Aim: The aim of the study was to identify and analyse the factors influencing the course of healing pressure ulcers in critically ill patients, then compare the variability of the healing in patients after stabilisation. Patients and methods: We chose a comparative multi-case study using qualitative and quantitative research methods as the research strategy. The study sample consisted of three critically ill patients with pressure ulcers. Results: In our study, all patients went to a critical condition after a therapeutic intervention on the heart (cases A,C - cardiac surgery; case B - radiological intervention). The pressure ulcers occur red dur ing controlled and supportive ventilation, continuous intravenoussedation and analgesia. Hypoxia, hemodynamic instability, vasopressors with vasoconstrictive effects, obesity, malnutrition, im mobility, inability to change position in controlled and supportive ventilation are factors which do not contribute to the pressure ulcers healing. In case A, healing occur red after verticalization of the patient, by improving the self-care, vitamin C with zinc and adding protein supplements (sipping). After 8 months pressure ulcer was definitely healed. In the case B (coma vigil), 80% of the area of pressure ulcers was healed after introduction to the percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) feeding. In case C, healing was complicated by quadriplegia and malnutrition which did not improve even by administering vitamins orally, the patient was fed via nasogastric tube. Despite negative pressure wound therapy, healing did not occur. Conclusion: The impact of mobility and nutrition on pressure ulcers healing was significantly confirmed in our study. In May 2015, the City of Naples and forty others European cities have joined the fourth edition of the European Cycling Challenge. This event has been created to promote the bicycle as a sustainable transport mean in urban areas, and lasted for all the month of May. The event organizer, SRM Reti e Mobilità, provided an app where all citizens/cyclists could enroll and track their cycle journeys; the app was tracking, with a time interval of five seconds, the cyclist position (using GPS) and some journey details (journey name, length, speed, besides day and schedule). These data were registered by the app and saved in a database. Several months after the event, each database has been sent to the participating cities. Naples' database has been utilized to evaluate, for the first time, the cycling mobility in the city. Indeed, the City of Naples developed a cycle network longer than twenty kilometers in the recent years. Therefore, this evaluation aimed to understand how, when and where the cyclists have been using these paths. The evaluation required the development of a methodological framework to analyze the database in geospatial environment. The final product has been disaggregated in two categories, the territorial evaluation and the temporal evalua-tion. The territorial evaluation contains O-D matrices, an analysis involving Naples' districts, and a flow count analysis for road. The temporal evaluation includes an analysis for each day of the month, for each day of the week (Monday, Tuesday,and so on), and for two time slots (7,30 - 9,30 A.M. and 4,30 - 6,30 P.M.). The overall results registered over 7961 kilometers covered and 1308 registered trips, with an average journey length of 6,07 kilometers and a massive use of the Waterfront cycle path (Via Francesco Caracciolo and Via Partenope). Although many individuals experience the prime causes of pressure ulcers, not all will develop permanent tis sue damage. This arises due to the complexity and multifactorial nature of pressure ulcer pathology. The literature acknowledges a variety of risk factors, which play a role in pressure ulcer development. Indeed, it is known that any risk factor increases the probability of pressure ulcer development if combined with pressure/ shear forces. However, impaired mobility is the most important attribute that exposes an individual to sustained unrelieved pressure and shear forces and is known as contributing factor. Risk assessment is a central component of clinical practice, but is a chal lenging process given the plethora of risk assessment tools currently in use, and the lack of validity and reliability of these tools. Nell'ottica della promozione della mobilità sostenibile e del rilancio e valorizzazione di territori ed alla luce del crescente interesse verso la specifica tematica, la Regione Abruzzo ha avviato uno studio di fattibilità per la realizzazione di una pista polifunzionale nell'Alta Valle dell'Aterno. Il contributo che si intende proporre ha come obiettivo quello di illustrare il percorso decisionale e i risultati che sono stati raggiunti già in tale studio che ha previsto la realizzazione di una dorsale principale e di un sistema di reti, a scopo sia turistico che amatoriale, oltre che come servizio alla mobilità locale.
