We explored the role of occupational stress in the relationship between psychological empowerment and job burnout in kindergarten teachers. Chinese female kindergarten teachers (n = 243) were participants (mean age = 28.2 years, SD = 5.08 years; specialist and below = 64.6%, formal work systems = 37.9%). They completed surveys on psychological empowerment, occupational stress, and job burnout. Path analysis findings suggested that higher psychological empowerment was associated with lower job burnout. Lower occupational stress mediated the relationship between psychological empowerment and job burnout so that the teachers with a sense of psychological empowerment were likely to report less job burnout. The higher the psychological empowerment, the lower the occupational stress and lower job burnout relationship held for older age teachers and those with undergraduate degree or a higher level of education and formal employment. Kindergarten teachers should be supported in improving their psychological empowerment to reduce occupational stress, and thus, limiting their risk for job burnout. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We investigated the extent to which job resources mediated the relation between job demands and burnout among public senior high school teachers in Ghana. We determined how job demands influenced the level of burnout among these teachers. Participants included 1028 public senior high school teachers (female = 491) who have been teaching between 1 year and 32 years. The participants completed the Maslach Burnout Inventory Educators Survey, the Job Content Questionnaire, and the Social Provisions Scale. Multiple linear regression analysis results indicated that job demands and social support predicted burnout among the teachers. Furthermore, social support partially mediated the effect of job demands on burnout. Thus, there was a high level of job demands among this group of teachers, which triggered high levels of burnout. In such a situation, quality teaching and supervision of students for effective learning could be compromised. The purpose of this study was to examine the degree to which impostor feelings and selected demographic variables predict burnout among undergraduate music education majors. Participants (N = 143) completed the Clance Impostor Phenomenon Scale (CIPS) and the Maslach Burnout Inventory for Students. Overall, participants reported relatively high levels of impostor feelings and burnout. Results of multiple regression analyses revealed that CIPS score and year in school significantly predicted exhaustion and cynicism. Participants with higher CIPS scores (more frequent impostor feelings) and more years in school experienced greater exhaustion and cynicism. Descriptive analyses indicated that upper-division and band students experienced more cynicism than lower-division and choral/string/general music education majors, respectively. Background: Burnout is a complex phenomenon and a major concern in graduate medical education as it directly impacts trainee well‐being. Identifying modifiable lifestyle factors over which trainees have immediate control could support timely, actionable, individual and programme‐level interventions to combat it. Objective: The objective of this pilot study is to describe modifiable lifestyle factors that may limit the development of burnout in medical residents and fellows. Methods: We performed a cross‐sectional survey of residents and fellows at academic medical centre from September 2017 to October 2017. Participants completed the Maslach Burnout Inventory and a questionnaire designed to identify factors hypothesised to be protective against burnout. Findings: A total of 205/805 (25%) trainees completed the survey with a mean (SD) age of 29.7 (2.6) years. 52% (n = 107) were female. Averaging at least 7 h of sleep per night was found to have a significant association with lower scores for the emotional exhaustion (24.8 [11, p = 0.04]) and depersonalisation (11.1 [6.4, p = 0.02]) dimensions of burnout. Additionally, self‐identifying as a healthy eater was found to have a significant association with lower scores for emotional exhaustion (25 [11.5, p = 0.03]) and depersonalisation (11.5 [6.6, p = 0.04]) as well. Workouts, hobbies, identifying with organised religion, praying, meditation and mindfulness activities were not associated with a difference. Conclusions: Adequate sleep (7 or more hours per night) and healthy eating are modifiable individual‐level lifestyle factors associated with lower burnout scores in trainees. The purpose of this study is to explore how demographics and individual values, qualities, and personality traits are associated with perceptions of flourishing among medical (MD), physician assistant (PA), and nurse practitioner (NP) students. Current MD, PA, and NP students from two academic medical centers were recruited to participate in this cross-sectional study between August 6 and October 9, 2023. Participants completed the Secure Flourish Index (traditional SFI) and then applied a percentage weight to each of the six flourishing domains based on perceived relative importance to their overall flourishing. Additional survey questions included demographics and multiple validated instruments: WellRx, 2 Question Maslach Burnout Inventory, Brief COPE Inventory, the Short Grit Scale, and Duke University Religion Index. Descriptive statistics, ANOVA, correlation, and regression analyses were performed with an alpha of 0.05. A total of 393 of 1820 eligible students began the survey (21.6%) while 280, (15.4%) were included in the analysis. Traditional SFI scores were higher with higher grit (r =.368, p <.001). Traditional SFI scores were lower with higher WellRx (r = -.336, p <.001), burnout (r = -.466, p <.001), or avoidant (r = -.453, p <.001) coping style. Scores were about 10 points lower for students who had considered leaving training in the past 6 months (M = 75.3, SD = 16.2) than those who had not (M = 85.6, SD = 14.4; p <.001). The SFI domain of physical and mental health had the highest relative percentage weight (20.2% (SD 8.4)) but was second to lowest in mean domain flourishing score (mean 6.5, SD 1.7). While participants placed high value on physical and mental health, they reported relatively low flourishing in this area. Targeted interventions to improve the ability for students to cope with the hardships of training and life, as well as supports structured to address the social and structural determinants of health may improve flourishing among students with similar values. Background: In Russia, the following two questionnaires are mainly used to study the burnout syndrome: Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and Boyko's Burnout Inventory (BBI). Despite the fact that the questionnaires are based on different theoretical models and composition of the scales, they evaluate essentially the same construct. A few published sources provide data on correlations between the results of measuring burnout using these methods. However, the presence of a correlation does not imply the comparability of the methods. The goal of our study was to compare the results of MBI and BBI as well as to develop a methodology for reciprocal recalculation of their burnout estimates. Methods: MBI and BBI scales were employed to diagnose the burnout syndrome. Our study included 117 men aged 41–44 years. The total scores obtained by the two methods, as well as the subscale scores, were compared using the correlation analysis, the cross-comparative analysis, and the Bland–Altman plot method, while the associations between the results were estimated with odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI). Results: The total scores (integral indicators based on summing the scores of all subscales and taking into account differences in the weights of scale scores) demonstrated a high similarity in measuring the severity of the burnout. All three dimensions of burnout sensu MBI correlated with the total BBI score. Conclusion: The comparison (MBI vs. BBI) demonstrated the consistency of the results, which implied the possibility of comparing data yielded by the studies based on the two questionnaires (MBI and BBI). In recent years, the topic of self‐compassion has attracted increasing attention in the literature, yet little is known about teachers' perceptions of self‐compassion in their daily practice. This qualitative study adopted a phenomenological approach to deepen the understanding of self‐compassion among this population. Thirty‐four teachers in Israel aged 25–63 were interviewed face‐to‐face in 2023, using a semistructured interview guide. Thematic content analysis revealed three main themes: (1) an approach to life and professional practice—fostering connection and collaboration; (2) an evolving process—accepting and forgiving oneself; and (3) training—strengthening the self‐compassion muscle. The findings suggest that fostering self‐compassion among teachers can help alleviate occupational stress and burnout. Schools should provide resources and promote a collaborative culture, implement mentorship programs, and incorporate self‐compassion tools into teacher training programs. Additionally, policy‐makers should promote practices that focus on enhancing teacher self‐compassion. By implementing these recommendations, schools can create a supportive environment that promotes teachers' overall health and well‐being. Background: Job burnout is defined as physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion due to persistent work stress, and it includes emotional exhaustion (EE), cynicism (CY), and reduced personal accomplishment (PA) and usually leads to symptoms of depression, lack of motivation, and decreased enthusiasm. Previous studies from different countries have suggested that job burnout, depression, and anxiety are a common work-related problems. This study aims to assess for job burnout, depression, and anxiety among radiation workers in order to investigate the effects of radiation exposure during work on the mental health. This comparative cross-sectional study was performed on 208 workers in the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA) and the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA) at Cairo Governorate, Egypt. Study participants were divided into 2 groups: 1st group which included 104 workers among radiation field and 2nd group which included 104 workers and employees who do not often work among radiation field. Maslach Burnout Inventory Scale (MBI), Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAM-D), and Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HAM-A) were used to assess for burnout, depression, and anxiety among study participants. Results: The prevalence and severity of depression, anxiety, burnout, and among workers inside radiation field group were statistically significantly higher than those working outside radiation field group. Work type (WIRF) and number of working hours per week (> 40 h) were the significant risk factors for all the burnout, depression, and anxiety, while age (> 40–60 years old) was a significant predictor for depression, female gender was a significant predictor for anxiety, and both age (20–40 years old) and years of experience (≤ 10 years) were significant predictors for burnout among workers inside radiation field. Conclusions: Burnout, depression, and anxiety are common among workers inside radiation field with higher prevalence and severity than those working outside radiation field. Pediatric surgeons are experiencing burnout at similar rates to other subspecialists; however, little is known about the prevalence of burnout in pediatric general surgery fellows. This study aims to determine the prevalence of burnout in pediatric general surgery trainees. The Maslach Burnout Inventory and a survey of personal and training characteristics were distributed to current and recently graduated pediatric surgery fellows. Higher Maslach Burnout Inventory subscores of emotional exhaustion (EE) and depersonalization (DP) indicate higher levels of burnout. Descriptive statistics were used to describe respondent characteristics. Burnout, as a dichotomous variable, was compared by chi-square test, and subscale scores werecompared by nonparametric tests for a variety of factors. The response rate was 41% (52/126); 15% were first-year fellows, 54% were second-year fellows, and 31% were recent graduates. The majority were 30-39 y old (83%) and female (71%). The median [IQR] scores for EE, DP, and personal accomplishment were 23 [17-36], 8 [2-12.3], and 38 [34-41], respectively, with no significant differences by training year. Eighteen percent of respondents met burnout criteria based on high-risk EE subscores in combination with high-risk DP subscores, and 44% and 23.1% of respondents had high-risk EE and DP subscores, respectively. Factors associated with higher EE subscores were fewer hours of sleep and taking home call. Pediatric surgery fellows experience high levels of burnout along with a high frequency of high-risk EE and DP scores. Burnout among healthcare workers has been extensively studied since its initial recognition in 1960, with its defining characteristics established by Maslach in 1982. The syndrome, characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and low personal accomplishment, is exacerbated by work-related stress and has profound implications for individual and societal well-being. Methods: A review of the literature, including PubMed searches and analyses of risk factors and protective measures, was conducted to assess the prevalence, impacts, and biomarkers associated with burnout among healthcare workers. Various instruments for evaluating burnout were examined, including the widely used Maslach Burnout Inventory, alongside specific tools tailored to different occupational populations. Results: Healthcare workers, particularly physicians, exhibit significantly higher rates of burnout compared to the general population. Factors such as night shifts, workload, and exposure to biohazards contribute to elevated burnout risk. Biomarkers like cortisol, melatonin, and thyroid hormones have been linked to burnout, highlighting physiological implications. Conclusions: Burnout poses significant challenges to healthcare systems globally, impacting patient care, worker retention, and overall well-being. Identifying and addressing risk factors while promoting protective factors such as resilience and social support are crucial in mitigating burnout. Adolescents' well‐being at school is positively affected by social support from parents, teachers, and peers and negatively affected by academic stress. However, little is known about how specific academic stressors are related to study‐related well‐being profiles. This study used a person‐centered approach to identify the profiles of high school students based on their school burnout (i.e., exhaustion and cynicism) and engagement levels to examine their associated levels of perceived academic stress, social support, and sociodemographic characteristics. Using cluster analysis on a sample of 540 high school students (67.8% girls), we identified five profiles labeled "Engaged" (22.4%), "Relaxed" (18.9%), "Overextended" (25.6%), "Disengaged" (17.6%), and "Burned out" (15.4%). The "Engaged" and "Relaxed" groups experienced similar levels of perceived social support, but the "Engaged" students showed higher academic stress levels. The "Overextended" group displayed high academic stress with lower social support, while the "Disengaged" group showed low stress with low social support. Finally, the "Burned out" group displayed the highest academic stress and the lowest perceived support. Objectives: In the presence of escalating global concerns regarding physician burnout, this study aims to analyze the prevalence and associated factors of burnout among radiologists in Germany. Methods: A comprehensive online survey, inclusive of 73 targeted questions including a German-modified version of the Maslach Burnout Inventory, was distributed among all members of the German Radiological Society and the German Interventional Radiological Society between May and August 2023. The survey encompassed aspects of employment, workload, well-being, and coping mechanisms. Data from 172 completed surveys were analyzed, with correlations explored via crosstabs and the Pearson-chi-square test. Results: In total, 76.7% of participating radiologists were identified to be burnt out. The prevalence was significantly associated with increased workload, reduced sleep quality, suboptimal working conditions, reduced job satisfaction, and the negative interplay between work, family life, and health. Median work satisfaction was described as "satisfied" while median workload was assessed as "frequently overwhelming of work." A total of 41.9% of respondents noted facing daily time pressure. Radiologists' concerns about work interfering with private family life were voiced by approximately 70%, and 73.3% highlighted the perceived negative effects on their health. Conclusion: The pronounced prevalence of burnout among German radiologists demonstrates an urgent, unmet need for comprehensive interventions and systemic changes. Our findings act as a catalyst for initiating targeted, multifaceted strategies and dialogs, essential for fostering a resilient and effective healthcare ecosystem. Further large-scale systematic studies should follow to analyze the findings in broad. Clinical relevance statement: Consistent with other countries, there is a high prevalence of burnout among radiologists in Germany. A call for further investigation is recommended to help mitigate adverse outcomes associated with physician burnout. Background: Burnout, characterized by emotional exhaustion (EX), depersonalization (DP), and a reduced sense of personal efficacy (PF) among medical and nursing students can lead to suicidal ideation, lack of empathy, and dropouts. Previous studies have used over-simplified definitions of burnout that fail to capture its complexity. We describe the prevalence of burnout profiles and its risk factors among medical and nursing students. Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted at a tertiary care University Hospital in Pakistan. The Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) survey was disseminated via SurveyMonkey over a period of 4 months (November 2019 to February 2020) to 482 Medical and 441 nursing students. The MBI tool measures the dimensions of EX, DP, and PF to describe seven burnout profiles. Multivariable regression was used to identify predictors of burnout. Results: The response rate was 92% in nursing and 87.3% in medical students. The prevalence of burnout in medical and nursing students was 16.9% and 6.7% respectively (p<0.001), with 55.7% (n = 427) suffering from at least one burnout profile. Only 32.5% (n = 250) students felt engaged, (42.3% medical, 22.7% nursing students, p<0.001). The most common profile was ineffective (32.5%, n = 250), characterized by a reduced sense of personal efficacy (35.6% medical, 29.4% nursing students; p = 0.065). Medical students were at higher risk of burnout compared to nursing students (OR = 2.49 [1.42, 4.38]; p<0.001) with highest risk observed in year 4 (OR = 2.47 [1.02, 5.99]; p = 0.046). Other risk factors for burnout included occasional drug use (OR = 1.83 [1.21, 8.49]; p = 0.017) and living in a hostel (OR = 1.64 [1.01,2.67]; p = 0.233). Conclusion and relevance: Two-thirds of our participants experienced at least one dimension of burnout with the highest prevalence of a reduced sense of PF. Drivers of burnout unique to a lower-middle-income country need to be understood for effective interventions. Faculty training on principles of student evaluation and feedback may be beneficial. This study investigates connections between personal value preferences, satisfaction with different facets of the job and burnout among high‐tech workers. The study's sample included 175 individuals (43% females) working in the high‐tech industry in Israel. A high level of satisfaction with work content was associated with low burnout and high professional accomplishment, and satisfaction with coworkers was associated with low burnout. Satisfaction with supervisor, salary and promotion opportunities did not affect high‐tech workers' burnout and professional accomplishment. A high preference for achievement values was associated with high professional accomplishment. A high preference for power values was associated with low satisfaction with all job facets. In addition, power values increased burnout indirectly by reducing satisfaction with work content and coworkers. Power values also decreased personal accomplishment indirectly by reducing satisfaction with work content. A high preference for self‐direction values was associated with high satisfaction with salary and promotion opportunities. Finally, high preferences for achievement and universalism values were associated with high satisfaction with promotion opportunities. Background: Burnout, characterised by emotional exhaustion (EE), depersonalisation (DP) and reduced personal accomplishment (PA), is caused by chronic workplace stress. Though widely reported in doctors, variability in definitions and assessment methods render comparisons between studies challenging. Furthermore, traditional methods of reporting burnout can be misleading, focusing more on individuals than on the workplace. Various scores from Maslach Burnout inventory (MBI) have been previously reported as 'burnout', inflating reported prevalence. Recent research suggests using latent profile analysis (LPA), to explore the continuum from engagement to burnout, as distinct patterns of working life may contribute to different profiles. Aims: To examine the prevalence of latent burnout profiles (LBP) amongst Irish hospital doctors. Methods: LBP categorisation of MBI was applied to responses from 1610 hospital doctors from a national survey. Effort-Reward Imbalance (ERI) questionnaire and work ability score were used to measure work stress and work ability. Results: In line with LBP categorisation, the respondents were classified as follow: 23% (N = 364) Engaged; 21% (N = 332) Burnout (High EE and DP), Overextended (N = 476, 30%); 22% (N = 355) Ineffective (low PA score), 5% (N = 83) Disengaged (high DP scores). Consultants were more likely to be classified as Engaged than trainees. Those classified as Burnout were younger. Females were more likely to be classified as Overextended. Work stress was associated with Overextended, Disengaged and Burnout profiles. Insufficient workability was associated with Burnout profile. Conclusions: The use of LPA provides more nuanced exploration of the phenomenon which can be correlated with workplace features, pointing to potential interventions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Summary Approximately 40% of Japanese physicians report working more than 960 hr of overtime annually, with 10% exceeding 1860 hr. To protect their health, annual overtime limits went into effect in 2024. The objective of this study was to investigate associations of self‐reported sleep duration with psychological health and objective alertness. This was a cross‐sectional National Survey for The Work Style Reform of Long Working Physicians. Physicians self‐reported daily sleep duration, burnout (Abbreviated Maslach Burnout Inventory), depression (Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale) and traffic accidents. Alertness was then evaluated using the brief Psychomotor Vigilance Test. Of 20,382 physicians invited, 1226 completed the survey and brief Psychomotor Vigilance Test. Daily sleep duration was inversely associated with weekly work hours (β = −5.4; 95% confidence interval −6.8 to −4.0, p < 0.0001). Sleep duration < 6 hr and ≥ 8 hr per day was associated with slower responses on the brief Psychomotor Vigilance Test (adjusted p < 0.05). An additional 10 hr worked per week was associated with a 0.40 point (95% confidence interval 0.08–0.72) increase in burnout severity and a 1.7% (95% confidence interval 0.1–3.3%) increase in odds of reporting a traffic accident. Increased brief Psychomotor Vigilance Test lapses, indicating lower alertness, were associated with worse symptoms of depression (β = 0.23 points; 95% confidence interval 0.14–0.31, p < 0.0001) and burnout (β = 0.25 points; 95% confidence interval 0.13–0.36, p < 0.0001). This study emphasizes the importance of sufficient sleep to maintain alertness, and supports limiting work hours for Japanese physicians to protect psychological health. Background: The objective of this research was to examine how caffeine use disorder among physicians across different specialties relates to both sleep quality and professional burnout. Methods: This research represents a single-center, prospective, cross-sectional study involving 240 physicians meeting inclusion criteria and working within a training and research hospital. Participants were enrolled in the study after obtaining informed consent. A web-based survey methodology was employed, administering a participant information form crafted following an exhaustive literature review, alongside assessments utilizing the Caffeine Use Disorder Questionnaire, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, and the Maslach Burnout Inventory. A significance level of p < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: In our study, participants had a median age of 30.0 years, and 60% reported poor sleep quality. A positive and statistically significant relationship (rho=0.148, p = 0.022) was found between the Caffeine Use Disorder Questionnaire and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scores. In the generalized linear model analysis, setting the Caffeine Use Disorder Questionnaire score as the dependent variable, statistically significant contributions were observed for gender (women), daily total caffeine intake, and Maslach-depersonalization score variables (p = 0.012, p < 0.001, 0.035, respectively). Conclusions: Higher levels of caffeine use disorder have been observed among women, smokers, and individuals with increased caffeine intake. Notably, an increase in professional depersonalization is associated with a rise in caffeine use disorder. Studying physicians' professional depersonalization could aid in addressing caffeine use disorders. Additionally, exploring the caffeine consumption patterns of healthcare professionals displaying depersonalization towards patients' needs is also worthwhile. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Interest and concern regarding the social support and burnout of college lecturers have grown over the past decades. Maintaining good mental health is critical for university lecturers. Social support has been identified as an effective resource against burnout. However, few studies have comprehensively examined the connection between social support and burnout specifically among college lecturers. Therefore, this review aims to explore how social support influences the burnout of college lecturers. Methods: This study employed the systematic literature review (SLR) methodology. Results: A thorough systematic review of 20 studies was conducted between 2015 and 2024, drawn from five major databases: Web of Science, Scopus, APA PsycINFO, PubMed, and Eric. The review indicates that burnout is measured through the Maslach Burnout Inventory, Maslach Burnout Inventory—Educators Survey (MBI-ES), Maslach Burnout Inventory—General Survey (MBI-GS), Burnout Syndrome Evaluation Questionnaire, Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI), Shirom–Melamed Burnout Measure (SMBM), and the Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (OLBI). While social support is measured through the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and Perceived Organizational Support (SPOS) survey. Individual and occupational factors contribute to lecturers' burnout. This study reveals the association between social support and burnout among lecturers and it emphasizes the multifaceted role of social support in alleviating burnout among lecturers. Conclusions: The findings suggest that educational institutions should strengthen support systems and increase the emotional support available among lecturers to relieve burnout. The COVID-19 pandemic has been one of the most stressful events in recent times across the world. The long-term effect of these experiences raises several concerns, including the development of post-traumatic stress symptomatology. However, little is known about the psychological processes that mediate this association. The aim of this study was to explore the association of emotional exhaustion and anxiety in post-traumatic stress symptomatology, and the mediating role of resilience and psychological well-being in university students. A total of 526 university students of both sexes participated in this study, and they were aged between 17 and 62 years old. Symptoms of anxiety and emotional exhaustion were significantly higher in females, in contrast, males showed on average more resilience and psychological well-being. Additionally, participants with COVID-19 infection had higher levels of emotional exhaustion, anxiety, and PTSD. The results indicated that the variables were correlated with each other (p < 0.001). A conceptual model was confirmed that describes anxiety and emotional exhaustion as predictors, post-traumatic stress symptomatology as an outcome variable, and resilience and psychological well-being as mediators. Resilience and psychological well-being can be important protective factors for adaptive responses in stressful situations. The findings obtained in this study will provide a theoretical basis for designing targeted interventions to improve psychological health, whether for crisis intervention, the process of adapting to higher education, or for recovery plans from psychological trauma. This study aimed to conduct, for the first time, a systematic review and meta-analysis of the level of burnout among social workers in the social services sector and to identify factors associated with burnout among them. Using PRISMA guidelines, searches were carried out from January 1, 1990 through January 10, 2024. Exclusively primary studies implementing the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire for diagnosing burnout were included in the review. In total, data were extracted from 24 studies, including 16,962 social services workers from seven countries. The random-effects pooled prevalence estimate of burnout was 20% (95% confidence interval [CI] 13–27%). Pooled Emotional Exhaustion (EE), Depersonalization (DP), and lack of Personal Accomplishment (PA) were 50% (95% CI 38–62%), 45% (95% CI 34–64%), and 39% (95% CI 26–52%), respectively. Several variables emerged as significantly associated with higher prevalence of burnout, including older age, lower response rate, and studies conducted outside Europe. Overall, the current review demonstrated that approximately half of the social workers in the social services sector experienced burnout. Using qualitative and quantitative methodologies, in three consecutive studies with employed samples, we developed measures of workplace incivility, mobbing, and abusive supervision sensitive to the nuances of a non-Western context (i.e., Türkiye). In Study 1, we first conducted 15 focus groups (N = 149), identified culture-specific and universal themes underlying the focal mistreatment types, and developed the initial scales. We then pilot-tested (N = 427) and refined the scales using exploratory factor analytic procedures. In Study 2, confirmatory factor analyses (N range = 456-524) and associations between the new scales and their widely used counterparts (N = 353) yielded evidence for the construct validity of the scales. Study 2 also involved the development of short forms of relatively long incivility and abusive supervision scales. In Study 3 (N = 482), we first examined the extent to which the three scales were operationally distinct. Second, we examined the scales' ability to predict burnout and organizational commitment. Results supported operational distinctiveness as well as the criterion-related validity of the scales. A dominance analysis revealed that the three scales had equivalent contributions in explaining the two outcome variables, further justifying their distinctiveness. Early termination of football careers is a challenge for elite women footballers. They quit their careers before experience, competence, and performance are fully developed, and women's football is deprived of the opportunity to develop to the highest optimal quality. Women's elite football is mostly semi-professional, with athletes juggling between football, work, and education. This qualitative study was conducted through semi-structured interviews with Norwegian elite women footballers (N = 7). Findings suggest the main reason for early termination is the heavy workload due to the combination of studies, work, and elite-level football, which led to exhaustion and burnout. It indicates that providing enough time to recover, fewer "to-dos" pushed into the day, and sufficient resources, hinder the harmful effects of a heavy total workload. It is probable that resilience can play a significant role in mitigating the impact of job burnout on workplace safety outcomes. Identification of these relations and paths can be useful for reducing burnout effects and reinforcing safety behavior factors. This study seeks to explore the relationship between job burnout and unsafe behavior, with a specific focus on the mediating role of resilience. This cross-sectional study, conducted in 2023, involved 200 workers in the spinning and weaving industries in central Iran. The study used printed questionnaires distributed to study participants during their rest periods to collect data for further analysis. The questionnaires included demographic information, the Maslach burnout inventory, the Connor–Davidson Resilience Scale, and a set of safety behavior questionnaires. Subsequently, the study analyzed various dimensions of job burnout with respect to unsafety behavior by constructing a theoretical model using AMOS software. The results indicate that three burnout dimensions indirectly influence safety compliance through resilience (P < 0.001). Specifically, depersonalization and personal accomplishment directly and indirectly affect safety participation through resilience and safety compliance (P < 0.001). Resilience had the highest direct and total effect coefficients on safety compliance (0.692 and 0.692), while emotional exhaustion exhibited the highest indirect coefficients (− 0.505). Regarding safety participation, the highest direct coefficient was associated with personal accomplishment (0.406), and the greatest indirect and total coefficients with depersonalization (− 0.370 and − 0.588). By recognizing the differential impacts of various burnout dimensions, tailored interventions can be developed to address specific facets of burnout, thus optimizing safety initiatives. In addition, their perspectives and experiences related to their job were explored.A mixed methods research design was used with cross-sectional quantitative and qualitative methodology. Four hundred and thirty-eight SLPs completed the Perceived Stress Scale, the Maslach Burnout Inventory, and the Font Roja Job Satisfaction Questionnaire in order to report perceived stress, burnout, and job satisfaction, respectively. Ten SLPs participated in semi-structured interviews.With respect to stress, 61.6% of SLPs reported a moderate level of stress and 18.7% reported a high level of stress. With respect to burnout, only 7.56% of the participants met the criteria commonly used for its diagnosis. However, 45.2% of SLPs reported a high level of emotional exhaustion, and 52.7% expressed a low degree of personal accomplishment. Job satisfaction was average for 94% of SLPs and high for just 1% of participants. The level of job satisfaction was significantly related to job stress, emotional exhaustion, and depersonalisation. Qualitative content analyses produced themes and subthemes regarding work recognition, relationships with people in the workplace, work conditions, and job control.A noteworthy percentage of SLPs reported emotional exhaustion and reduced personal achievement. This study focuses on how levels of burnout impact on the quality of sleep and academic performance of university students. Previous research has found limited evidence on the prevalence of burnout in university students, in addition to the relationship between exhaustion behaviours and sleep quality. The social exchange theory (SET) is important for understanding how the various actors in that context behave and with what effect on their social exchanges, here, specifically, verifying academic burnout and its perception by students and institutions themselves. Research has not sufficiently addressed the examination of burnout and forms of coping in that context. The data for this study were collected during the 2023 academic year, through an online survey, from 311 Portuguese university students from different undergraduate courses, without children and without student‐worker status, aged between 18 and 38 (M = 21.58 and DP = 3.20). The results showed a high‐negative correlation between burnout and sleep quality in university students with a direct impact on academic performance (burnout rates and poor sleep quality are associated with low academic performance scores, regardless of the course attended). This research and its results make a contribution that directs the management of university and specifically of courses towards a greater awareness of the existence of burnout and well‐complied sleep schedules by students. Given the evidence that there is a deficit in sleep quality caused by burnout in university students, resilience in this context is one of the aspects that deserve further research, in order to prevent burnout, poor sleep quality, and consequently, control of academic grades. The ‘Sociodemographic and Descriptive Characteristics of Nurses Form’, ‘Maslach Burnout Inventory’ and ‘Nursing Work Quality of Life Scale’ were used to collect the data.The mean score of emotional exhaustion sub‐dimension of Maslach Burnout Inventory was 15.25 ± 5.08 (min: 7, max: 27), the mean score of the personal accomplishment sub‐dimension was 17.48 ± 4.90 (min: 8, max: 27), and the mean score of depersonalization sub‐dimension was 5.60 ± 2.70 (min: 0, max: 13). The mean scores of the emotional exhaustion sub‐dimension (t: −2.380, p: .020, risk ratio [RR]: 1.67, confidence interval [CI]: [14.21, 18.82]) and the personal accomplishment sub‐dimension (t: −2.604, p: .011, RR: 1.00, CI: [16.08, 19.92]) were higher in intensive care nurses. Background: In the high disease burden and resource-constrained contexts of sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), health workers experience a range of psychosocial stressors that leave them vulnerable to developing burnout, which can reduce service quality and negatively impact their own health and wellbeing. As universal testing and treatment (UTT) for HIV scales up across SSA, we sought to understand the implications of this human resource-intensive approach to HIV prevention to inform decision-making about health workforce staffing and support needs. Methods: Using the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey (MBI-HSS), we assessed the prevalence of three domains of burnout—emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment—among three cadres of health workers delivering health services in areas receiving a UTT intervention in Zambia and South Africa. These cadres included health facility workers (n = 478), community health workers (n = 159), and a study-specific cadre of community HIV care providers (n = 529). We used linear regression to assess risk factors associated with emotional exhaustion, the only domain with sufficient variation in our sample. Results: The MBI-HSS was completed by 1499/2153 eligible participants (69.6% response rate). Less than 1% of health workers met Maslach's definition for burnout. All groups of health workers reported lower levels of emotional exhaustion than found in previous studies of this type (mean score scores ranged from 10.7 to 15.4 out of 54 across health cadres). Higher emotional exhaustion was associated with higher educational attainment (βadj = 2.24, 95% CI 0.76 to 3.72), greater years providing HIV services (βadj = 0.20, 95% CI 0.03 to 0.36), and testing negative for HIV at last HIV test (βadj = − 3.88 − 95% CI 5.69 to − 2.07). Working as a CHW was significantly associated with lower emotional exhaustion (βadj = − 2.52, 95% CI − 4.69 to − 0.35). Among all health workers, irrespective of HIV status, witnessing stigmatizing behaviors towards people living with HIV among their co-workers was associated with significantly increased emotional exhaustion (βadj = 3.38, 95% CI 1.99 to 4.76). Conclusions: The low level of burnout detected among health workers is reassuring. However, it remains important to assess how UTT may affect levels of emotional exhaustion among health workers over time, particularly in the context of emerging global pandemics, as burnout may impact the quality of HIV services they provide and their own mental health and wellbeing. Interventions to reduce HIV stigma in health facilities may protect against emotional exhaustion among health workers, as well as interventions to increase mindfulness and resilience among health workers at risk of burnout. To support children's engagement with reading material, it is important children are represented in reading material provided. As Parents are the curators of their child's reading diet, in this study the parental perspectives of the ethnic diversity of available reading material for their children was explored. Eight parents were interviewed individually online to explore their perceptions of diversity in their children's reading books. Interview scripts were analysed taking a reflexive thematic analysis approach. There was a commonality across all parents in that children's literature needed to represent the multicultural society their child lived in, but the emotional and personal content in this message differed between parents. To explain the data two themes of identify formation and ethnic diversity limitations of reading material are discussed. Identity formation encapsulated the parents focus on children needing to see themselves in reading material to learn about themselves and their culture. Therefore, it is important to avoid stereotyping which is the second theme. All parents noted the need for more diversity broadly in children's reading material, from publishers but also availability of diverse reading material from educational settings. Amid global constraints imposed by COVID‐19, the education sector witnessed sudden transformations, including school closures and the adoption of distance learning, leading to heightened anxiety among Filipino teachers and impacting their overall well‐being. This study explores the mediating roles of burnout and work–life balance in the associations between COVID‐19 anxiety and life satisfaction among teachers. Data were collected from 532 teachers (73.3% women; meanage = 27.93 ± 1.27 years) engaged in remote work through an online survey using self‐reported questionnaires. Results indicated a significant and adverse influence of COVID‐19 anxiety on life satisfaction. Also, COVID‐19 anxiety showed an effect on both burnout and work–life balance. A significant association between work–life balance and life satisfaction was found, with work–life balance playing a significant mediating role in the relationship between COVID‐19 anxiety and life satisfaction. These results suggest that the anxiety induced by COVID‐19 disrupts the equilibrium between work–life balance and increases burnout, leading to reduced life satisfaction. To mitigate these negative effects on life satisfaction, policymakers and school authorities should devise effective strategies aimed at alleviating teachers' anxiety related to COVID‐19. This article examines the concept of maternal ambivalence in the Indian cultural milieu through a critical analysis of Avni Doshi’s Burnt Sugar and Zehra Naqvi’s The Reluctant Mother. These novels illustrate how societal glorification of maternal archetypes imposes significant emotional burdens on mothers who defy established norms, leading to inner conflicts laden with guilt, uncertainty, and the struggle to balance personal aspirations with societal expectations. We demonstrate how the novels subvert the entrenched heteropatriarchal order and advocate for a departure from rigid standards of what Andrea O’Reilly calls ‘patriarchal motherhood’. The article focuses on the mother–child relationship, which is characterised by ‘ambiguous intersubjectivity’ and ethical dilemmas linked to maternal discontent. We argue that a phenomenological exploration of maternal ambivalence, in conjunction with cultural norms, offers valuable insights into the complexities of maternal subjectivity and mirrors the conflicts within the maternal psyche. This approach grounds conceptions of gender and motherhood in lived experiences rather than normative ideals, providing a unique lens to examine social realities beyond individual literary works. The experience of burnout is nothing more than the feeling of dissatisfaction or stress in workplace; however it should not be considered the same as job dissatisfaction and stress. Around the 1970s, very few studies addressed teachers' burnout. Later on, in the preceding decades, not only did the concept of teachers' burnout emerge, but it also became the subject of frequent research across countries. A review study on the chronic stress syndrome of teachers' burnout over the past few years was conducted. The purpose of this study was to analyze empirical studies (42) on teachers' burnout by employing the literature review method. The focus of review was to examine how likely teachers are to become prey for burnout. Among other service-providing professions, teaching is a demanding job. It is found that factors, effects and consequences associated with teachers' burnout at the personal and organizational levels. The considered studies emphasized the concept, occurrence, multidimensional nature, and influencing factors of burnout through a specific lens. Findings reported that burnout deteriorates the physical and mental health of teachers. Certain conditions of teachers due to burnout are directed toward low teacher performance, low student achievement, and poor quality education. Teachers' personal and professional performance suffers and the recipients of service also face the same effects. The selected studies provided a clear overview of the entire phenomenon of teachers' burnout. Another aspect of the findings highlights ways to make burnout research more application based; social factors can be added to burnout measurement tools. Objective: The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of improvements in working conditions and monthly income on burnout. The secondary aim is to evaluate the effect on quality of life and anxiety among anesthesiology residents. Materials and Methods: This prospective before-and-after study was conducted at Dokuz Eylul University between August and November 2022, and anesthesiology residents were enrolled. Residents were evaluated using the Professional Quality of Life Scale, Beck Anxiety Inventory, and Maslach Burnout Inventory twice: before and after the legal regulation. Results: After the exclusion of three participants, 44 residents were enrolled in the study. Of them, 50% were female. The median age was 28.0 (27.0-29.0) years. Participants' median working hours (87.0 [74.8-100.0] vs. 68.0 [52.5-72.0] hours/week, p<0.001), the median number of monthly night shifts (7 [7-9] vs. 6 [5-7], p<0.001), and monthly income (18,000 [17,000-18,000] vs. 25,000 [20,750-26,000], p<0.001) were significantly improved after regulations. The median scores of the subscales of the Professional Quality of Life Scale, compassion satisfaction (25 [18-34] vs. 28 [24-36], p=0.011), and burnout (30 [24-32] vs. 23 [20-28], p<0.001), Beck Anxiety Inventory (18 [7-26] vs. 11 [5-19], p=0.004), and the emotional exhaustion subscale of the Maslach Burnout Inventory (24 [18-29] vs. 20 [13-24], p=0.007) were significantly improved compared to before the regulations. At the intersection of race and gender, Black men encounter conflicting and often stress-inducing gender norms. Research suggests Black men may utilize John Henryism Active Coping (JHAC), a culturally-relevant strategy to manage stress. However, little is known about how incarcerated Black men cope with gender role conflict (GRC) and resulting psychological distress. To better understand stressors and coping strategies among Black male prisoners, the current study examined the relationships between GRC, anxiety, and JHAC among N = 193 incarcerated Black men nearing community reentry. Hierarchical linear regression results showed length of incarceration, GRC, and anxiety were all negatively associated with JHAC. Full-time employment prior to incarceration was positively associated with JHAC. Moderation analyses indicated anxiety increased the strength of the negative association between GRC and JHAC. Objective: To determine the relationship between job satisfaction (JS) and burnout syndrome among intensive care unit (ICU) nurses, and examine the factors influencing burnout and JS. Methods: After ethical approval, a questionnaire form, the Maslach Burnout Inventory (subscales D: Depersonalization, PA: Personal Accomplishment, and EE: Emotional Exhaustion) and the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (subscales IS: Intrinsic Satisfaction, ES: Extrinsic Satisfaction, and GS: General Satisfaction) were administered to volunteer nurses working in adult level 3 ICUs in eight tertiary hospitals in Ankara. Results: Four hundred forty-nine nurses participated in the study. Burnout subscales were negatively correlated with JS subscales (p<0.05). With increasing age, burnout decreased in both D and PA subscales; as years of experience increased, burnout decreased in the PA subscale. Female nurses, nurses without children, and those working less than 40 hours had lower burnout on the PA subscale (p<0.05). Nurses who did not have health problems, transport and financial difficulties, who had social support, and who chose their profession purposely had lower EE and D scores (p<0.05). Nurses working in internal medicine ICUs, who were married, healthy, chose their profession, and had social support had higher JS scores (p<0.05). Conclusion: Among ICU nurses, JS decreases as burnout increases. Factors influencing burnout and JS include age, sex, marital status, parenthood, health status, social support, voluntary career choice, type of ICU worked in, experience, working hours, and financial and transport difficulties. Emotional exhaustion and depersonalisation are sub-dimensions of burnout and important indicators of poor mental health in workplace and organisational psychology. This article focuses on mental workload and presenteeism as antecedents of emotional exhaustion and depersonalisation. The hypothesis is that mental workload affects emotional exhaustion and depersonalisation, and presenteeism plays a mediating role in this effect. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of mental workload on presenteeism, emotional exhaustion, and depersonalisation among accounting professionals. A questionnaire was administered to 318 accounting professionals registered with the Kayseri Chamber of Certified Public Accountants for this purpose. The data collected were analysed using SPSS 24 and IBM AMOS 24 software. The study found that accounting professionals experience a relatively high mental workload, which leads to increased presenteeism, emotional exhaustion, and depersonalisation. This paper reviews the professional situation of school principals during COVID-19 in Argentina, where one of the longest school closures in the world was maintained. It analyzes the existence of burnout, concerns, constraints and needs of 252 principals at the end of the 2020 school year. Stress and burnout experienced by interpreters during remote interpreting, which is more adopted after the Covid-19 pandemic in Türkiye, are examined in this study. In the second part of the analysis, the impact of some factors which may affect the level of stress and burnout experienced by interpreters in remote interpreting such as interpreting from a separate environment, the impact of receiving positive feedback, the quality of interpreting, and the income coming from remote interpreting compared to onsite interpreting on interpreters’ preferences for remote interpreting and/or onsite interpreting have been examined. As a result, it has been found that there is no significant relationship between the stress and burnout experienced by the interpreters in the context of remote interpreting, and their aforementioned professional qualifications and that remote interpreting causes more stress for the interpreter compared to on-site interpreting. Secondly, it has been found that except the satisfaction coming from the receiving positive feedback factor, there is no any significant relationship between the preferences of the interpreters for remote interpreting and/or onsite interpreting and the issues such as interpreting environment (onsite or remote), the quality of interpreting, and the income coming from onsite and remote work. Most of the interpreters prefer both remote interpreting and onsite interpreting in that they are as much satisfied with the positive feedback received in remote interpreting as they are in onsite interpreting. The interpreters who only prefer onsite interpreting think that the positive feedback received in remote interpreting is not as satisfying as the one received in onsite interpreting. Willing to adapt to technological developments and considering the many benefits of remote interpreting, the interpreters think that remote interpreting should be as widespread as onsite interpreting. Using the revised job demands–resources model, this study aimed to analyze the direct relationship of teacher self‐efficacy with burnout and its indirect relationship through perceived social support as well as the moderating roles of teacher optimism in these relationships. The study used a Bayesian estimator with structural equation modeling to examine the structural relationships among self‐efficacy, optimism, perceived social support, and burnout, using data collected from a sample of 288 teachers in Elâzığ, a city in the eastern region of Turkey. The results demonstrated the negative relationships between teacher self‐efficacy and optimism with burnout, and the indirect negative relationship between teacher self‐efficacy and burnout through perceived social support. In addition, the present study revealed that the direct relationship between teacher self‐efficacy and perceived social support and the indirect relationship between teacher self‐efficacy and burnout through perceived social support can be strengthened depending on the level of optimism. Background: Burnout syndrome attributable to cumulative stressors is highly prevalent among teachers. Despite this, knowledge of burnout syndrome among schoolteachers in lower-middle-income countries are limited, therefore we aimed to investigate self-reported occupational burnout syndrome and associated factors among schoolteachers in Nepal. Methods: A survey was conducted among randomly selected 37 community schools in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2022, with a total sample of 218 schoolteachers (70% male). Occupational burnout was assessed using the Nepali version of the validated Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI-ES). MBI-ES consists of 22 items assessing occupational burnout, which were classified into emotional exhaustion (EE, 9 items, score range: 0–45), depersonalization (DP, 5 items, 0–23), and personal accomplishment (PA, 8 items; 3–48). The greater score in EE and DP and the lower score in PA indicate a higher level of burnout. Various socio-demographic, lifestyle, and work-related factors were examined as determinants of occupational burnout using ANOVA and multivariable linear regression models. Results: The mean scores of EE, DP, and PA were 14.99 (Standard Deviation, SD = 9.79), 4.18 (SD = 4.57), and 42.11 (SD = 6.82) respectively. Poor/moderate work ability contributed to poorer ratings of all three dimensions. Teaching special needs students contributed to EE and DP, whereas low physical activity and alcohol intake were associated with PA only. Younger age, being married, language of teaching, having a disability, sub-optimal physical fitness, poor sleep quality, and ever smoking contributed to EE only. Conclusion: Occupational burnout among schoolteachers was relatively high. Marital status, lifestyle behavioral, and work-related factors were associated especially with EE and workability was a strong determinant of all three dimensions. The postcolonial discourse in the Maghrib was dominated by the political Left for a long time. Thus, other approaches of coming to terms with the experience of colonialism were marginalized. It was Abdelkébir Khatibi’s book Maghreb Pluriel which made it possible to acknowledge these other discourses in their own way of criticizing colonialism, without reading them from the beginning with a hermeneutics of suspicion. In establishing one of these discourses the founder of the modern Moroccan academic philosophy, Mohamed Aziz Lahbabi, played a substantial role: His experience of depersonalization during the colonial period was the starting point for his search of being a person, and for his personalist philosophy. Background: There is limited evidence on the association between psychological distress, academic stress, and burnout among Saudi nursing students. Clarifying such an association is crucial to understanding the factors associated with psychological distress and developing interventions to prevent it. Aim: To explore the prevalence and association of psychological distress with academic stress and burnout among Saudi nursing students. Methods: A cross-sectional design was used, and 237 students participated from a nursing college in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Students' demographics; the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale; the Academic Stress Inventory; and the Maslach Burnout Inventory were used for data collection. Results: Most of the participants reported no-to-mild depression, anxiety, and stress. Stress related to studying in groups, time management, emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment were the significant predictors of psychological distress, explaining 52.1% of the variance. Conclusions: This study suggest implementing tailored mental health screenings and support services for nursing students, embedding mental health professionals in the program, and using telehealth or mobile apps for remote monitoring to ensure comprehensive care for nursing students. Burnout and absenteeism are prevalent among healthcare workers, reflecting prolonged work-related stress and dissatisfaction with their job. Identifying poor sleep as a contributing factor can assist in developing targeted interventions. This study explored the relationship between burnout, absenteeism, and sleep among healthcare workers. A nationwide online cross-sectional study was conducted among healthcare professionals in France during the third wave of COVID-19, from May 2021 to June 2021. Recruitment strategies included outreach through social and professional networks and email invitations. Burnout was assessed using the Maslach Burnout Inventory, absenteeism through self-reported days absent in the preceding 12 months, and sleep quality using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. The association between burnout, absenteeism, and poor sleep was analyzed using multivariate logistic regression, accounting for individual and professional variables. The study also explored various sleep dimension abnormalities. Of 10,087 healthcare workers, 55.2 % reported burnout, 20.5 % absenteeism, and 64.8 % poor sleep. Burnout and absenteeism were more frequent in individuals with poor sleep compared to those with good sleep (74.2 % vs. 25.8 % and 75.6 % vs. 24.4 %, respectively). The multivariate analyses confirmed the associations between burnout, absenteeism, and poor sleep (Adjusted Odds Ratio [aOR] = 2.15, 95 % CI [1.97–2.35], p < 0.001; and aOR = 1.49, 95 % CI [1.32–1.67], p < 0.001, respectively). Background: Burnout among healthcare professionals is a serious problem with multiple consequences for the individuals and organizations affected. Thus, accessible and effective interventions are still needed to prevent and attenuate burnout. Self-compassion has recently been well supported in preventing and reducing burnout in various professions. Current research also demonstrated protective associations between self-compassion and well-being and/or psychological health indicators. Few studies are available on this topic during the COVID-19 pandemic or on healthcare workers from Quebec or Canada. Moreover, only a limited number of studies have looked at the associations of self-compassion with physiological variables. This cross-sectionnal correlational study attempts to evaluate the association between self-compassion and burnout, among healthcare workers from Quebec (Canada) during the COVID-19 pandemic (n = 416 participants). Associations between their respective components are also tested. A secondary objective is to evaluate if self-compassion is also associated with a set of 38 biomarkers of inflammation (n = 83 participants), potentially associated with the physiological stress response according to the literature. Participants meeting eligibility criteria (e.g.: residing in the province of Quebec, being 18 years of age or older, speaking French, and having been involved in providing care to COVID-19 patients) were recruited online. Participants completed the Occupational Health and Well-being Questionnaire, and some participated in a blood sample collection protocol. Results: Results showed significant negative associations between self-compassion, exhaustion, and depersonalization, and a significant positive correlation with professional efficacy. Some self-compassion subscales (mindfulness, self-judgment, isolation, overidentification) were significantly negatively associated with certain biomarkers, even after controlling for confounding variables. Conclusions: This study adds to the existing literature by supporting the association of self-compassion with burnout, and reveals associations between self-compassion and physiological biomarkers related to the stress response. The main goal of the present study was to determine the mediating role of psychological well-being in the relationship between burnout and occupational stress of factory workers in Tehran. The method of this survey was descriptive correlation based on the way of collecting information. The statistical population in the present study included all the workers of the factories in Tehran city, who were selected by the simple convenience sampling method, and 200 people were selected, and Maslach Burnout Inventory (1981); Occupational Stress of the Health and Safety Institute of England (1990); and Riff's Psychological Well-being (1982) between They were distributed. The analysis of the questionnaires was done using the methods of descriptive statistics, mean and standard deviation, and at the level of inferential statistics using Cronbach's alpha test and path analysis using SMART PLS3 software. The findings indicated that burnout has a positive and significant effect on the occupational stress of factory workers in Tehran. Job burnout has a negative and significant effect on the psychological well-being of factory workers in Tehran occupational stress of factory workers in Tehran, in this sense, the better the psychological well-being of people, the less occupational stress of workers. Psychological safety is a psychosocial construct that reflects an individual's perception of social risk in the work environment, and is related to employee performance and well‐being, including job satisfaction and burnout. Psychological safety remains relatively understudied among educators, including its patterns over time and relationships with other aspects of the school environment. This study explored patterns of psychological safety over 4 years among 769 staff at 20 rural K‐12 schools, before and during the COVID‐19 pandemic, and the associations of these patterns with work‐associated well‐being and organizational context outcomes. Repeated measures latent profile analyses identified a 3‐class solution of stable‐high (51.0%), stable‐medium (44.8%), and dynamic‐low (4.2%) psychological safety classes. Those in the stable‐high class had consistently better outcomes, including less burnout and greater self‐efficacy, and better perceived organizational context and climate, compared to other classes. Among educators, psychological safety is generally stable, and reliably differentiates other important outcomes. Interventions fostering greater psychological safety may improve perceptions of the school environment and reduce burnout. Teachers, a population already vulnerable to high stress, experienced heightened demands, and reduced resources during the COVID‐19 pandemic. This longitudinal study utilized inductive thematic analysis to explore 241 K‐12 teachers' qualitative accounts of stressors, supports, and pandemic‐specific impacts through their responses to three open‐ended questions. Responses were collected across 5 months. Three domains emerged: demands (e.g., navigating hybrid learning), resources (e.g., helpful teaching teams), and pandemic‐related outcomes (e.g., burnout), along with 12 themes. Demands were the most frequently endorsed domain across the months, speaking to the diverse challenges teachers encountered during this stressful time. Resources were less frequently mentioned, yet signaled opportunities for intervention. Results suggest important implications for how teachers experienced pandemic teaching, such as lasting impacts on well‐being, and suggestions to improve future stress and crisis response. The article provides a theoretical justification of the emotional-value approach in the educational process, shows its interaction with other conceptual approaches, in particular, defines the intellectual component of personal development. In recent years, pedagogy has developed and tested conceptual provisions characterizing various approaches aimed at effectively solving pedagogical tasks. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the ideas that prove the legality and expediency of the emotional-value approach as a truly valuable pedagogical phenomenon, as well as to show its connection with other pedagogical approaches, in particular to investigate the neuropedagogical aspect. The concept of "emotional-value approach" has not been introduced into pedagogical science. But in some studies and publications, the terms "emotional-value component" and "emotional component" are used. The relevance of the article is determined by the intensive development of information and communication technologies in connection with the physiological reactions of the body, which forms the neural factor as an aspect of artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is the most relevant phenomenon of human development today. Empirical methods, the method of synthesis, analysis, research, explanatory and scientific methods were used in the research. The results do not exhaust all aspects, but they are important for achieving the goal, namely the determination of the most effective factors for the formation of the unity of the intellectual and emotional sphere in the context of the formation of education and in the conditions of using artificial intelligence as a neuropedagogical factor. This study explores the centrality of the senses for the maintenance or disruption of people's commonsensical familiarity with the world. Drawing from in-depth interviews with people affected by depersonalization/derealization, which the American Psychiatric Association defines as a dissociative condition in which people perceive the world as dream-like, I conceptualize what I term somatic defamiliarization. I define somatic defamiliarization as a process whereby people experience previously unquestioned sensory phenomena, such as mundane objects or their bodies, as unfamiliar. Building on Berger and Luckmann's work, I contend that somatic defamiliarization is a perpetual, albeit latent, condition of social life that threatens reality maintenance. I discuss how the concept of somatic defamiliarization can be applied to explore the somatic qualities of experiential ruptures that people may undergo in various circumstances, such as immigration or war.
