The purpose of this research is to assess the role of school principals in the performance audit system according to the teachers' views. The study group of the study consisted of 13 teachers working in different school types determined by maximum diversity sampling method. In this research, which is dealt with by qualitative research method, data were collected by semi-structured interview technique. Content analysis method was used to analyze the research data. When the data grouped according to the questions asked by the interviewed teachers and the answers given are evaluated together, it is stated that "Opinions about the attitude of the schoolmaster", "Opinions on the performance evaluation form", "Opinions on the applicability of the performance evaluation process to the system" and "Opinions on performance evaluation in terms of ethical principles" Four themes were created. According to the findings obtained in the research, while in some schools, principals give a message that they want to keep their score at a high level and give them in a small range, it is seen that in some schools, managers have unfair attitude in the score among the teachers.
