The environmental issue and the Sustainable Development Goals call for the contribution of Social Work in order to instill an environmental and sustainability awareness in theoretical formulations, intervention models and professional practice. he eco-social approach of Social Work towards sustainable development, legitimizes the importance of the contribution of this area in community intervention and local development. As an emerging theme, the starting question is: How do community development projects promote social and environmental sustainability? In order to identify social and environmental sustainability practices in community interventions, an exploratory qualitative study was carried out on projects developed in Portugal under the Healthy Neighborhoods 2020 Program, using MAXQDA software. The research focused on the 246 projects funded by the program, whose applications were collected from the program's official website. The results show that 59% of the projects refer as an axis of intervention "environmental" proposing local environmental interventions (81%), creation/maintenance of urban gardens (29%), workshops and environmental awareness actions (22%) and intervention with animals (3%). The inclusion of environmental issues in community practice reflects a concern for environmental problems alongside social and economic ones and calls for a shift towards an ecocentric and sustainable perspective in Social Work, which guides the practice of professionals in their political and ethical mission, not only in the social but also in the ecological field, promoting the well-being of all and the sustainability of the planet. Intervention in Social Neighborhoods is crucial to promote bases of inclusion and social integration, from the point of view of eradicating stigma and, above all, self-stigma. The intervention must correspond to the needs and problems identified by the population and to the identified potentialities, aiming at social change. Active listening and promoting community participation in its change process are essential for this to happen. The space itself is preponderant for the construction and consolidation of the cultural identity of the population. This article aims to understand the effects of community intervention on the psychosocial and socio-occupational aspects of the population residing in these developments, assessing the sense of belonging and self-esteem through the study of participation in actions that stimulate moments that encourage the involvement of the population. This time, it is intended, using the present investigation, to contribute to the understanding of the socio-occupational dimensions that contribute to the quality of life of the participants. Background: The community outreach project of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, which involves the public bathhouse of Alcântara, started out of the need to identify its users. Objectives: To characterize the users’ socio-demographic and health profile and describe their use of social and health resources. Methodology: A cross-sectional descriptive study, of quantitative nature, was conducted with the application of a questionnaire to a sample of 145 participants. Results: The typical user is male, single, aged 25-35 years and lives alone (21%). This user goes to the public bathhouse two to three times per week. Most of the users (58.3%) have no bathroom, 29.7% are homeless, 35.2% are not registered in any health care center, and 24.8% have mental disorders. Conclusion: The typical bathhouse user is of working age, was born in Lisbon and in the Portuguese-speaking African Countries, and has no source of income. The main reasons leading to the use of the public bathhouse are the economic difficulties, the homeless condition, and the lack of sanitary conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This communication is based on the social intervention carried out in the socio sportive field of social work in C@pacitar E4G and C@pacitar+ E5G Project, promoted by the Municipality of Funchal, managed by Proinov and funded by the Escolhas Program, between 2010 and 2015, in Santo António civil parish, in Funchal. It intends to present the use of street soccer socio sportive methodology, as a tool to promote social inclusion through sport, of children and youth between six and 24 years, in situation of social vulnerability in the territory, with a strong motivation for sports leisure practice and, for the most, with expectations of development in professional football. It presents the good practices implemented by the 'Escolinha social de futebol de rua' and 'Futebol de rua' activities and the results obtained in the prevention of risk behaviors, occupation of leisure time, reduction of school absenteeism, educational success and socio-professional insertion, through the promotion of personal and social skills, which the street soccer practice allows, in the empowerment and inclusion processes of young participants. This Communication presents a social work action research process, emphasizing the potential of using socio sportive tools in community and socio-urban intervention, in Padre Cruz municipal neighborhood, in Carnide civil parish, in Lisbon. Is taken as an example the 'Recriar BPC' project promoted by two local socio sportive organizations (Associação Nacional de Futebol de Rua e Associação Azimute Radical) in the context of municipal program Bip/ Zip - Local Partnerships. The project had consisted in a participatory and co-produced process intended, from the socio sportive experience of young people in the neighborhood, to propose alternative ways to requalify public space through the collaborative creation of a community square, with roots in socio sportive practice, local lifestyles and needs from the associative movement. Speaking of international cooperation on many occasions we generate some associated with concepts far removed from what really is image. What we will capture in this experience it is not intended to alarm or create scenarios manipulated or magnify poverty, lack of resources or human misery... only pretend to be faithful to reality as far and near at the same time as we tell. Two nurses and a professor at the University of Alicante (Spain) developed in Turkana (Kenya) a draft Community intervention in which public participation is central to its development. The main objective of the intervention is to identify major health needs and how people can respond to them independently and responsibly. The project is initiated by identifying community leaders through whom are involved in the community to begin the process of health education which responds to the health needs of the latter. The aim of this article is to investigate the connection that exists between the psychological sense of community, community participation, and the analysis of organizational networks, examining the influence of these approaches on individual, organizational and community levels of analysis. Accordingly, we review the literature from each of these three perspectives, then analyze the way they are linked with different levels of analysis. The article presents the relation between Community Social Psychology and Psychodrama. We examined concepts about men's and world's visions, social commitment and methodological dimensions from both fields of knowledge, systematizing common elements. Among the most relevant interfaces founded we can highlight some as: community psychology and psychodrama were built in a pragmatical way; they comprehend human beig in a historical and relational way; they focus group work; they use methodologies that promotes mobilizing action and facilitates the aprehension of foreground; work with a participative ethics; promotes co-responsability, among others.
